Normally their food is good, but they recently changed their menu and since have got better and better 👍🏼
Delicious food, good service & environment
I took all my in-laws here for a dinner. My mother in law is a picky eater but she really likes the food that was served for her. She ordered salmon and the rest of us pasta, pizza, breads. All of the dishes we tried are reallyyyy tasty. The staffs are really good as well. I am Recommending this restaurant really
Their food is so delicious. Serving is big enough actually good for 2! Their ambiance is okay
Home delivery: Fresh hot and tasty food. Packaging was high quality and kept food hot. Preparation and delivery was very fast. A place I can rely on.
Top class, a bit pricey but it's worth every single penny.... Their pizza and pasta r so so yummy
Great affordable Italian cafe in Etihad towers with all the Italian favourites! My wife had a mushroom pizza and I had the lasagna. The oven baked pizza was nice and the lasagna very tasty, consistant and filling !

Nice breakfast.. little in Abu Dhabi... they have the best almond latte and caffe latte in the area... good value for money... staff is caring. grazie mille Thandiw for always smiling and paying attention to clients... staff remember our choices and that's important when you arrive in a place and they know your habits... feel like home... al gusto easily adapt to your allergies or food restriction and the take away or delivery is really good. Service is good... a must try for relaxing ambiance or for business lunch...
So happy to have dined in at this place. Nice and quite. The staff is warm and welcoming. The food is ah-mazing! Compliments to the chef for bringing such lovely Italian food to UAE. Kudos you guys, keep up the good work. Strongly recommend every Italian food lover out there to give this place a try.
Must haves: Tortellini & Gnocchi.
Happy Eating.
Ordered for delivery - fast service. Classic Tiramisu is really good, not too sweet at all (like so many others that I tried), especially for me, since I don't like sweet taste and you could taste coffee. Really resembles on real tiramisu that I know from original Italian recipe.
Very good Chicken and Pizza, fast delivery to the apartments in Etihad Towers and any issues they handle it professionally. Order from this restaurant at least once a week.
Never visited this restaurant, however, we tried their pizza today for the first time in delivery form, we had ordered the mushroom pizza and the 4 cheese pizza, I must definitely be honest and say BOTH PIZZA WERE AMAZING! From the crust all the way to the flavoring, everything was so delicious and mouthwatering!! Definitely will visit the restaurant personally too! Thank you for an amazing quality of the pizzas on delivery! Very few places are able to get it right...
Placed a delivery order. They are amazing and client oriented as it was a timely delivery and they accommodated my special request- awesome!! Pizza is always fresh and tastes yum!
This place has beautiful decor and friendly staff.
The food tastes good, (without the overload of cheese!). We ordered the basic arabiatta pasta and margarita pizza. Portions are very good. The smaller size pizza also can feed well :)
The dishes we tried were Farfalle salad, Smoked tortelli and Funghi selvatici pizza. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and service was prompt.
I was never a fan of pasta especially the seafood type. But after tasting their Squid Ink Pasta, can’t help but to finish the whole serving. I also love their Paella. But that was months ago. According to a friend when they asked about those 2 it’s not in the menu anymore and the waitress also told that they never had those dishes. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be back again in the restaurant. 😔 I’m writing my FIRST REVIEW so this can reach their management. Bring back those 2 dishes please. Thanks.
A very regular hangout for me. This is a cosy restaurant with comfort Italian food and good coffee. The ever changing menu keeps things interesting although sometimes you miss a dish from their specials menu at times and wish it was a part of their regular menu. What I like here are the pastas, salads, their breakfast dishes and sandwiches (their fries are so good!). I tried their sea bass recently and loved it. My favourite dessert there is of course the tiramisu. Can't go wrong with that! #dinewithdot #dinewithalgusto @lamsworld on Instagram
I always love Italian food and I’m so glad we get to try this restaurant called Al Gusto in Etihad Towers with Joan Farillon Walsh & Lloyd Arceo. Thanks to DOT On Her Way for bringing us here! Let’s talk about the food...I love their appetizers! You can really see the creativity and how they have put a luscious flavors on it. I also love to highlight the beef steak. It was delicious and tasty. Perfect service. No complaints at all.
I also love the ambiance and the interior design. However, there are moments that it’s hard to really move a bit coz the cafe is not that really spacious enough. But overall, it’s one of the great Italian cafes I’ve been to so far. Thank you for being our host #AlGustoAbuDhabi 🍽☺️💯😋
ITALIAN WITH A TWIST-
If you are looking for a private and cosy Italian restaurant with a luxury feel. @algustoad located at one of the iconic luxury towers in Abudhabi @etihadtowers_official is a good bet. Small and quaint yet cosy and inviting. If you have been following my reviews for some time you will know that ambience does not wow me as much as the food will ever do. I personally don't care much about ambiance as long as the food is good i am all in. So let's get into the food. From the sharing plate, All three items, The Arancini, Pomodoro Bruschetta and Panzerotti were all freshly made and the taste and textures was all so varied and delicious. I chose the pomodoro soup. Which took me straight to Milan in terms of presentation and quality and taste. The tomato soup was so well strained and taken off the pot just in time. If you know how to cook you know what I'm talking about. It was just the perfect consistency. Next I tried the Salad campana. I must say. They nailed this one when they said Italian with a twist. Beacuse I have not tasted fresh Mozzarella cheese quite like that. I'm not even joking but for me it was a hybrid between fresh mozzarella and Halloumi. It tasted so different and unique. Definitely going back for the starter soups and salads. They nailed it. Now to the mains. Al Gusto was very confident when it came to their pizzas. I personally prefferd pepperoni. Mainly beacuse original Italian pizza is all about the thin crispy dough with simple and fresh toppings. And that is what they delivered with this one. Fresh and simple and tasty. If you have travelled to Italy as much as me you would know how similar the pepperoni pizza at algusto AD is to the real deal. When it came to the mains I chose the fettuccini al funghi. In terms of cooking. There was every element in the dish. From the cream sauce to the pasta was made perfectly if you separated them. But together somehow it missed the mark for me. Then came in the desserts. We had the Strawberry panna cotta with the berry macaron. Which was good but few of the elements were a bit too frozen. The creme was perfect and they had managed to preserve the tartness of the strawberry which was a beautuful marriage between the compote and the creme. However the macaraon was hard because it had been in the fridge for too long. It would have been best they added the macaron after the pannacotta has set. the tiramisu cake though.. well what can I say.. PERFECTO!!!!! It wasnt one of those sickly sweet cakes. And had a good hit of coffee which is what a tiramisu cake is all about.. it has to sing the notes of coffee and not sugar. So may I add that the tiramisu just finished off with a bang.
I had the opportunity to try an array of dishes from Al Gusto with a bunch of foodie buddies. Al Gusto is located in the very prime and prestigious Etihad Towers with very classy and elegant interiors. The staff were very nice and accommodating.
Coming to the food, there were some outstanding items like the Italian Wagyu Burger, Penne Arrabbiata, Arancini Sticks (must try!) and of course the unforgettable Tiramisu.
However with that being said, there's room for improvement and hopefully they can be a little more consistent with their dishes to stand a chance of being a really good Italian restaurant.
But what makes Al Gusto really special is their personalized coffee service which you can customize to your wish with a message or name, which is pretty lovely and an awesome insta-opportunity.
I have been wanting to try Al Gusto for long time and finally Heaven answered my prayer. This time I am pleased to visit this place with my foodie friends in Abu Dhabi. What I love the most is the Fettucine Con Funghi which is so yummy and creamy. The Tiramisu for dessert which is filling and satisfying for a sweet tooth like me and how cool is the coffee in which you can print out your name or photo!
The setting is quite okay due to it is inside the mall which I understand plus the staffs are all attentive. Kudos to that!
It was an honour to be invited by Al Gusto For lunch with pretty blogger DOT On Her Way
Been really nice meeting her and other bloggers .
I enjoyed the taste of the main menu with delicious chicken and magarita pizza , starters as well with mince cheese rolls with sauce
Delicious dessert tiramisu has been a treat .
Best part is the coffee which had my blog name @ideastospark . It’s been a memorable moment . Looking forward for the next visit .
Thank you for the warm welcome ☺️ .
Happiness is a hot cappuccino matching your Blog and it was literally a surprise by team
Al Gusto . Last weekend i had a chance to visit this place located at Etihad Towers Jumeirah. We tried some dishes and i loved their Pasta in tomato sauce🍝 and they serve the best beef burger 🍔 . The beef was juicy and tender my husband loved the burgers too 😋😋
Zomato Al Gusto Italiano
Place is nice staff are friendly, I was surprised how the pizza taste really really good I think it has to do with how fresh and authentic their ingredients is, pizza was simple but so yummy! :)
Nice little italian place. Went there for drinks only (tea) and cake. Service was good and so was the cake. However, the location is not so cozy since it's in the mall.
Wanted to visit a good Italian restaurant since a long time, so when I set my eyes on Groupon offer for this place immediately bought it and used it for my birthday.
It’s on P1 of Majestic Etihad towers. The Ambience can be best described as costly casual.
Staff is really nice especially the Indian guy and the pretty lady.
It was just me and my husband so ordered Pasta in tomato sauce and make your own pizza( added grilled veggies, tomato, onion & mushrooms).
Both exceeded our expectations. Had to get half the pizza parceled due to good portion size and of course we filled up on the delicious complimentary bread.
Over all really good and chilled out experience.
The taste made me write this review, the pizza is just perfect. We got margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza.. both taste delicious. It reminds me of italy..

Based on the 4 star rating we have decided to buy the groupon and give it a try! The location is obviously easy to find and very luxurious i must say, the staff are really friendly and the decoration is nice, nothing over the top but very comfy. We were served some freshly baked bread, then the ordered food followed. I tried all and all had a great taste, serving portion was generous as well! We had to take back home a lot! I would highly recommend it
Ordered food from here several times and have never been disappointed. Have tried the Pollo Milanese, Pita pocket herb chicken and some of their pasta dishes. All excellent. The pita pocket was especially outstanding. Their gelato is nice too. Overall lovely place.
Al Gusto has been in Abu Dhabi for a few years already, and I have meaning to go since it opened (!!). Located below Etihad Towers, Al Gusto is small but very open, and it feels pristine...as it should, being located in the high-end mall, The Avenue. But you don't have to wear Manolos to get into Al Gusto....
Very nice food and amazing service by Jovilin and chef Prashant, me and my wife had a great dinner. I will definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again
Amazing food with frequent new specials, lovely atmosphere and great service, if you cant go, try their delivery, its fast...a must try restaurant.
Al Gusto Is a lovely, modern Italian restaurant and contemporary cafe situated inside the Etihad Towers. Your Italian cuisine cravings will be satisfied from antipasti to gelato. They first served us a slav of complementary freshly baked bread followed the Halloumi Con Polenta. The halloumi cheese was grilled to perfection. Warm, melty-chewy-salty goodness and utterly delicious, with lemon oil sauce and fresh oregano. It is perfectly paired with the crispy polenta that makes this dish one of our favorite appetizer so far. We also tried the Mediterraneo Panini (buffalo mozzarella, green leaves, sun-dried tomato and grilled chicken). A sandwich that will certainly fill you up. Perfect on-the-go breakfast.
Perfectly seasoned, skewered Satay Chicken in a thick and creamy peanut sauce that comes with lime and lemon grass risotto topped with crunchy peanut which will make you say this dish "spectacular"
The only time my partner will not talk to me is when he's eating a very delicious steak. He ordered the Steak of the Day (succulent, medium rare rib-eye steak served with rocket and cherry salad). Absolutely NO LEFTOVER.
No matter how full you are, we advice you: Never leave this place without trying their Al Gusto Tiramisu (mascarpone cream, kunafa nest and coffee jelly). The most unique tiramisu we've ever tried so far. The kunafa nest goes perfectly with the sweetness of the cream and coffee jelly.
We have fallen in love with the enticingly moist Carrot Cake. The cream cheese frosting was absolutely delicious and ultra-creamy. Yum!
A scoop of soft, elastic texture and slow-to-melt milkiness Mango Sorbet and Stracciatela Gelato here is something that will suit everyone's taste.
Al Gusto is such a lovely place.. Amazing food and great service.......the steak was so tender and tasty..the salads are very fresh ..it's worth coming back once again..
A lot have been heard about Ethihad towers ( an I conic 5 tower complex opposite to emirates palace hotel, Abudhabi) but frankly I and my family never had the opportunity to visit it. This week we decided to conquer it and after a search on the internet zeroed on Al Gusto Italian restaurant as our target.
We went to AlGusto for Italian dinner last month also to try out their new menu, and we had a great time! It is located in Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. Pre-starters included fresh bread with homemade salsa. . The very first salad we tried was Insalata Verde Verdura I I started off. It consists of Broccoli, Quinoa, Lentil, Avocado, Feta, Cucumber, and Tomato. The highlight for this salad though was its Yogurt Dressing; overall this Insalata was Zesty and refreshing with much greens and other essential veggies. The combo (Yogurt dressing) was so addictive that I would recommend you all to must try this at AlGusto.
Had a great time at Al Gusto with my friends. It’s a great place for a family meal, for a coffee date or even take-away. Located in Etihad Towers, it was super convenient to organize lunch with my friends there. They also have valet parking available. For a limited time they have a groupon. You can have a high-quality Italian worth up to 400 AED for just 199 AED (50%). Check out Groupon for all the details.
Given the lack of choice at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, I would say that this place hits the mark in terms of quality, service and price point. It's not the cheapest option if you're on a budget, but it's definitely more reasonable that its neighbors. I like the fact that they change up their specials menu every month, it gives us something to look forward to. Their pizzas are defintely on point and so are their wraps and pasta options. Their portions are generous so make sure to leave some room for dessert because their Tiramisu is to die for. If you're a coffee addict like myself, make sure to hit up the amazing Barista James who knows how to make a mean espresso.
I have the ratings mentioned on Instagram!
SERVICE:
Service is fast, except for the mornings they're a bit slow on breakfasts, but overall smiley and quick serving staff.
FOOD:
First lets start with their breakfast, I've tried their croissants which are absolutely one of the best I've ever had! Fresh and delicious. They even added a new menu so I've tried their crepe and it was fulfilling and really good, but for the Etihad breakfast dish i didn't like neither the bacon nor the sausage and they only serve 1 piece of toast so i wont advise anyone for that dish...
Lunch and dinner I've tried different dishes, pizza ,pasta and some appetizers. Overall nothing of them are top ranked but they are all good and tasty. So if you passed by the place, enter and give it a shot.
I tried this place twice in the past 2 days once for breakfast and once for dinner.
Delivery service was fast. Food arrived hot, and the delivery guy always gets us extra mustard and mayo for free which is very cool and nice of him.
For dinner: i tried the steak with salad and fries.
.The steak was yummy. Absolutely great. The way i like to eat it. Fresh and juicy.
. The salad was healthy but a little dry for my taste.
. The fries were perfect. Crunchy.
For breakfast: I Ordered cremino (scrambled eggs with chiabata bread) with avocado and fresh orange juice
. The cremino was tasty but missing salt
. The orange juice wasnt very fresh

Its a random place in Etihad Towers Abu Dhabi with a cozy-Italian setting. We ordered the spaghetti bolognaise, made our own pizza and ordered the mini-sliders. Their starter bread with tomatoes was sooooo good and very fresh we actually asked for some more. The pasta was really good and so were thre burgers.
"What a lovely restaurant, excellent environment and very friendly service!! The food was fresh, decent, properly prepared and a great value for the price.."
#AL GUSTO is a Highly recommended for all Family and Freinds.keep it up!
You just want to dive into & roll around in Algusto's carrot cake! It's definitely one of the desserts that I would go back for, paired with a cappuccino.

The ambiance is soooo nice, their service is so amazing. The serving of the food is so generous. It was such a nice experience. The staff are so hospitable and enthusiastic to give their warm welcome. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
It's an amazing new find for me. Great, simple food that's reasonably priced!..AL-GUSTO is doing it with great passion.
All the good reviews that I have read about this restaurant are true. The friendliness of the staff seems genuine. I have never seen such good customer service as I experienced.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for good food and a little Italy experience..................................................................................................
#Great coffee with nice art, good ambiance, friendly and well trained staffs.#Al Gusto. Is the best place to be with family or even with friends.
Having a sister who is a chef, eating at Al Gusto was a must do on her last visit. So we went, and went back. It's simply that good. I dine out a lot for work and entertaining clients. Al Gusto is now at the top of my list of spots to do so.
My personal favourite is Al Gusto Pizza. It's so good that everytime I go to this restaurant in Etihad Towers, I make sure this pizza that features dates and goat cheese should always be on my order list. My husband's favourite, on another note, is the creamy Fettuccine Ai Fungi. They have lots of desserts that I love, too, from carrot cake to the chocolate ones, and eclairs! Everything is freshly baked daily, according to their pastry chef.
Health buffs would enjoy their salad options, just like how I liked their Verde Verdura so much!
For antipasti, I tried the cheese and cold meat platter that has a generous serving, which I shared with a friend.
It's certainly a must try...
If you looking for quality Italian restaurants that serve quality food and has good service, Al Gusto is the place to be. They have a well-crafted menu that features delicious dishes, like my favorites "Beef Sirloin Pita Pocket, Italian Mince Pizza and Satay Chicken". For desserts I love their famous Carrot Cake. Service is fantastic..
What a fabulous restaurant. From the minute we walked through the door. The staff were so pleasant. The service was impeccable. Every waiter was the best. The food was so delicious. The pasta was homemade & the fish as fresh as can be. It is a must to put on your list of restaurants to try. You won't be disappointed.
They have the best pizzas in town. Service was quick and excellent, very welcoming to guest and anticipate most of our needs. Ambience is nice, feel like home.
Whilst parking was a little bit tricky once inside I found
the interior & service welcoming. As
for the food I can honestly say it's the best in Abu Dhabi! Dedicated chef.
Originality of Italian food with a twist…
It's been a few weeks since my birthday celebration but I finally had the time to write this wonderful review. My cousin recommended this restaurant for my birthday celebration and boy were we thrilled with his choice. As a chef myself I am very picky about good food. Our waiter was Lloyd and he made the whole dining experience very special. Not only was he such a fun person to talk to, he also recommended dishes to us as this was my first time dining there. The décor of the restaurant was elegeant simple & chic. The mocktails and food were fabulous and the service was amazing. I loved the 'new style' of Italian food offered here, not the typical old Italian food offered in most other restaurants in Abu Dhabi. I can't stop bragging about this restaurant and will definitely be coming back soon.
Welcoming and Friendly Staff with a great service ethic... and to top it off... AMAZING FOOD. Highly recommended..i had squid ink spaghetti that is very nice recommendation from staff and i had also home made waffles as my dessert it comes with vanilla ice cream that is amazing!
There are too many restaurants in Etihad Towers and we had a difficult task to choose one. We decided to go to Al Gusto after we read Z reviews. Great choice indeed. The food was exceptional. Great value for money. Friendly service. We will return.
My comfort food in Al Gusto is the Lemon Herb Chicken Pita Pocket. It's my must-have every time I dine in here, because of its big portion consisting
hummus with a delicious sun dried tomato flavour, rocca, red onion, and halloumi. Service was quick and accurate. The specials were good, we took one and did not disappoint. The menu is a mix of Italian with some local twists.
A range of variety coffees with a beautiful private sitting. Every time I try something new, I love the place more and more. The Chargrilled Rib-eye is a must to try among all the amazing dishes
We came here with the family for early dinner. I have to admit that this is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Service is outstanding. Ambiance is wonderful. The food that we have chosen are spectacular. They were so tasty and fresh. It's worth coming back once again.
I would like to say think for James . Because he very helpful and kindly person. I love the coffee from his hand. I'm regular customer because of him and always smiley for guess and he encourage the people to come again. 👌❤️
Hey all. This was a blind pick for me. The restaurant's cleanliness is good. The quality of food is also good. The prices are good, not expensive though. I tried the trio of burgers - beef, chicken & juicy steak. Just tried once! Thanks
Today I had amazing steak in the evening with crispy fries and avocado salad
One of the best italian restuarans in the neighboorhood. The prices are reasonable and the food os delicious. Ten point is for the staff and specifically James, who can turn your even sunday mornings to fun with amazing filipino he makes and with his positive energy. He will not share the secret:)
Delicious menu items, nice modern interior, and cost ambience plus the approachable wait staff.I got the shock when the Filipina staff talked to me in italian!..I would definitely go back
We're just coming back again. We tasted burrata salad and panzerotti as our starter. My friend told me it's amazing creamy cheese accompanied with green leaves. We're enjoy pizzas as our main. So cheesy and tasty. Having a cup of capuccino after a heavy meal. Simple place but elegant. Staff are so polite and giving the highest level of satisfaction to their guest. Thank you for the wonderful service.
I must admit I wasn't expecting to see seafood paella in an Italian restaurant but I was sure I was glad that I did. In a word, it's FANTASTIC, generous portion, awesome mix of clams, mussels, salmon and calamari. YUMMY!!! The coffee and the service provided was superb as well.
I had the squid ink spaghetti pasta last week in algusto .it was very nice and i love that combination of some asian lill spicy kind of soya sauce with squid ink pasta .nice,,,
As I work in Etihad Towers, I can confidently say that Al Gusto offers the best coffee in the area, and probably in the UAE! Always has service with a smile from James & the team. They always make me feel welcomed & at home. The world needs more Al Gustos!!
Walked in for lunch on a weekend with not very high expectations, but wanted to satisfy my appetite for Italian food. Thankfully found a table and was soon seated amongst the hustle bustle of the restaurant. Did not take too long to place the order and the server was good with his suggestions. The Satay Chicken is something one should not miss out on and this took me to order a second round of the same dish. For the mains ordered the Chicken Milanese and a pasta which the chefs were kind enough to do some alterations for me. The chefs have been able to produce a high quality standard of Italian dishes and this surely does justice to the food. Sadly this couldn't be left out when i asked the server for a good rose wine option he replied that they don't serve alcohol. Pity
A quiet and friendly atmosphere, serving high quality food. Went there for a weekday dinner and enjoyed everything served - was a bit unhappy that they were out of burrata salad. The tomato soup was very good, the quinoa salad was not all that and probably the only thing we didnt enjoy there as was very bland and lacked flavor, the kale chips were great with a bit too much salt though and the mains were excellent we had the burger trio and the steak. And the gelto was the perfect ending, the basil infused lemon was superb and the nutella was a-okay!
I died and went to pizza heaven after my first bite of
their meat Diavola. What diet? Forget healthy eating for tonight and have
a tiramisu, pasta & a doughnut. Enjoy!
First but not the last...excellent and very professional service. Thanks to Gladys our dine in professional, we had a very enjoyable dinner. She was very knowledgeable and informative when it came to the menu. The food...well let's just say it was very tasty. I know some may have doubt, but the crust on the pizza, brought back memories of Nick's Pizza in the Bronx. The ribeye had a lovely charred flavor and the pollo milanese reminded me of Argentina. "Wait, my bill is lower than my groupon voucher? Sure, I'll take another pizza to go!!"
I had this delivered for my lunch and I was completely blown away. This is prolly the biggest lasagna serving I have ever seen in my life. The taste is very #authentic #Italian. Every ingredient is well balanced. And the cheese? OMG very generous just how i want it! 😘
If you are looking for that perfect cup of coffee Al gusto is the place to go.. they have all sorts of different coffees however you like it! My favorite is their cappuccino!
I am a regular who enjoys sitting and getting work in their vibrant atmosphere! I always order their sfilatino its a turkey ham, turkey bacon sandwich with spinach and sun dried tomatoes but its freshly made so the bread is served warm! Best thing ever..
I also order their lasagne when I feel like having homemade style pasta as well as the trio burger served with fries!
If you are a nutella fan, I suggest you order their nutella pizza for dessert! So good!
I have been to al gusto many times and for every meal and coffee. I love the specials menu because it's always changing and they create a twist on Italian food. The coffee is always excellent and the daily changing dessert specials are so fresh.
What a hidden gem! Whilst having a casual wander around the Avenue at Etihad Towers we stumbled across Al Gusto's next to Waitrose. We were greeted in Italian with beaming smiles, seated & promptly served. I had the Algusto pizza which contained a surprisingly delightful mix of dates with goats cheese - a sumptuous blend of sweetness & salt... my son had a super soft, slow roasted lamb burger which he devoured with his 10 teeth (he's 14 months old).
Will definitely will revisiting!!
If it wasn't for Groupon, I would never know about this place. Its located in the Avenue Towers at Etihad Towers. Its such a cute little place. We ordered the Avacado & quinoa Salad, Mushroom Risotto, the steak and some soup. All of our items came on time. The staff was so friendly. However for some weird reason, they were in a hurry. I guess because 70% of the restaurant was full. I always try new places using my Groupon as that's what would make me want to go and see the place. For desserts were had the perfectly baked Brownies which was so moist and not too sweet. Loved it ! ... Overall... the dishes, the portion and the price was just perfect...
Perfect place for a morning Skinny Latte and for quick afternoon lunch, the Salmon served is great as well wide choice of pastas and great salad to choose from the menu.
The manager is very friendly and polite and all the staff are efficient
overall a great place to catch up for coffee or lunch
Try the perfect Scrambled Eggs cheese croissants, The staff is very friendly and helpful.
So I ate here twice, breakfast and lunch. For breakfast I had croissant and scrambled eggs, and a glass of white chocolate vanilla frappe, which were absolutely delicious. My only complain about that meal was that I wish the staff were a bit friendlier, because I didn't feel welcomed there.
Lunch came with a different set of friendly and welcoming staff. My friend and I had a margarita pizza, which was delicious as long as you ate it hot and quickly. The crust hardened, making it tougher to chew as it cooled. I also had a very tasty Oreo cake, it was definitely the best thing I'd eaten from there. I would go back again to try more of their dishes.
Nice Pizza, pasta ok, serloin steak ok, very good service, strange that they don't have chicken pasta or chicken Pizza. Drinks overpriced (AED18 for soft drinks)
It is the first time for me and my friends to visit Al Gusto. I must say the food is as good as the service they offer. The staff is extremely helpful and warm. The service is commendable.
Located in Etihad Towers, this little known gem serves wonderful Italian cuisine. Our meals are always prepared fresh and is consistent in terms of quality and presentation. Their gnocchi is delicious and the fettuccine with mushroom can only be described as the real thing. They seem to believe in simple, minimal design in terms of décor and instead concentrate on creating classic dishes with excellent attention to detail. We normally don’t call in for reservations and they are very accommodating of us on regular weekdays however I would suggest booking a table for the weekends.
Very nice place for a simple meal, coffee, cakes. I had wanted something light for dinner. So opted for the following:
1. Broccoli, quinoa, avocado (+some other healthy bites) salad: this was served with a side dressing of yogurt. Simple and refreshing.
2. Barley soup with bits of chicken: what...
I ended up here by accident, having arrived early for a meeting at Etihad Towers and what a lovely accident it was.
From the moment you set foot in Al Gusto you're greeted by the warmth of the staff and are made to feel very welcome. The restaurant had the feel of a neighbourhood eatery and is a fabulous alternative to other eateries. We ordered the salad and pizza and the waiter was fabulously on the ball. My eating partner liked their pizza to be over done and extra crispy and therefore requested his pizza to be 'burnt' but the waiter saw the humour and delivered a fabulously crisp pizza.
Unfortunately we didn't have desserts which i very much regret but their cappuccino was deliciously velvety with a nutty undertone.
I would have never known that this restaurant existed if it wasn't for Taste of Abu Dhabi. I had an amazing flatbread there last year and simply cannot forget the taste. So, when I was invited to try them out over the weekend, I simply agreed. . Al Gusto Italiano, a classy Italian restaurant is a hidden gem at The Avenue, Etihad Towers. Not many people know that its exists because... well ... its pretty much hidden of course, at the lower level of the mall.
On the lower level of the Avenue at Etihad towers is a smart modern Italian kitchen - Al Gusto. Serving a menu of some Italian classics, Al Gusto is light relief from the grand fine dining establishments next door at the Jumeirah hotel.
At the front of the kitchen is an espresso bar, serving up fine smelling coffees but step behind this counter and a small restaurant opens up. I was seated by an Italian waiter who seemed passionate about the menu he gave to me and was treated to some baguette and some fresh out of the oven Focaccia accompanied by Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar already sat on the table.
The menu here is limited, and this is a good thing. No pictures, no fuss, this menu screams confidence, and they nearly get there. I ordered a special of Satay Chicken on a skewer served with pan fried Gnocchi. I asked them to substitute the beetroot relish with something else (I've never been a fan of the beet) and the waiter described a lovely green salad. I was excited, and not overly disappointed with what came back.
The chicken was succulent and moist, the gnocchi was creamy and well seasoned, but the side salad was unfortunately undressed. This can sometimes be a symptom of a chef cooking to a spec sheet, rather than getting creative with a substitute, but it can be forgiven in this instance as the main event was very tasty.
Desert followed and I found myself attracted to Delizia do Cornetto - a Croissant filled with nutella and cream. This took sometime to come, but the staff were up front about their need to make it from fresh (it is taken from the Breakfast menu incidentally) but when it came, it was utterly delicious, packed with flavour and neatly presented, I found myself having to force myself not to eat the second croissant, but package it up to give it to a friend to enjoy with me.
Al Gusto oozes class and passion. Its modern but unimposing environment, well versed staff and great food makes it fit for the shops it accompanies in Avenue, and if you are nearby, or staying at the hotel, it is well worth a visit.
