Everything they have is good...try sizzler
Decor is inspired by Gabbar from Bollywood’s movie – “Sholay”
Dhaba styled food with lovely flavors.
Authentic Punjabi style of flavors.
Though place is small but food is delicious.
Also pocket friendly and affordable
Overall I had a good experience with gabbar . Good food.👍
Good food and excellent service .. keep it up.
We visited this place for dinner. The ambiance was cozy but the colours of the wall were too strong.
We ordered for some Jal Jeera, Paneer Tikka, Non Veg Platter, Mutton Roganjosh, Malai Kofta, Veg Hydrabadi Dum Biryani, Roti Basket and Gulab Jamun.
The food was tasty but the biryani and gulab jamun let us down. The biryani tasted like veg pulav and the gulab jamun was too sweet.
Overall it is a good dinner place for small families.

Pretty nice food!
We visited Gabbar's Grill in Discovery Gardens, Dubai on a Friday for dinner. There is adequate seating but the interiors are a bit too loud.
Here is a review of what we tasted:
1. Jal jeera: It was good with boondi on the top.
2. Non-veg platter: The chicken malai and lasooni kebabs were tasty. The tangdi kabab was a bit bland and the fish tikka was satisfactory.
3. Mutton rogan josh: It was quite delicious and went well with the chilli paratha and garlic kulcha.
4. Gulab jamun: It was soft and tasty.
The staff is helpful and polite. The ambience is quite ok and can be improved. Free parking is available on Fridays.

it was a good experience with gabbar grill . the kebabs. curry. Biryani with a excellent taste..
Visited Gabbar's Grill with colleagues the other day for lunch.
The ambience is nice and vibrant with colorful posters and stuff to look at. The seating is also comfortable. Ample parking downstairs.
We ordered the following:
Butter Chicken with Rice - They have a nice creamy butter chicken with succulent pieces and rich in flavor. Loved it with rice but will also go well with naan.
Mixed grill Platter - Has a variety of chicken and mutton starters like malai tikka, chicken tikka, mutton seekh, chicken seekh and so. Nice and spicy with good marinating. Chicken pieces are nice and soft.
Gulab Jamun - Served hot. This was delicious and made to perfection. Loved it. Maybe it can also go well with vanilla ice cream.
We also ordered mango lassi which was nice and thick.
Overall good quality food served quick and friendly staff too who have knowledge of the menu and will assist you with a smile.
A different place with good quality food and service.
Have been here a few times and order takeaways often. The food is always flavourful and fresh. The Amritsari masala kulcha is a favourite. This place has never let me down in terms of giving the right blend of spices and taste when looking at a good north Indian cuisine.
Enjoyed a tasty brunch today at Gabbar’s. The Chole Bhature and Khulchha were made to perfection. Topped it with Lassi A perfect concoction for a Friday brunch. Thank you Gabbar’s staff and specially the chef 👍.
Awesome food and loved their staff assistance and service and also food quality with quantity. I highly recommended to go there with family and friends.
This is a newly discovered dinner option
Food quality is good and reasonable rates
Staff is also good
Overall good food experience
Must visit
First about the place , a bit of a walk is required if you dont stay in the nearby buildings
We ordered Butter Chicken , Chicken Curry , Shahi Paneer , Chicken Roll and selected breads.
Butter chicken was not very spicy with loads of butter to give just the right taste.
Chicken curry was great and so was the Shahi Paneer
I really liked the Rolls .

We ordered :
Veg Biryani
Veg mix sabji (forgetting the exact name ,pardon me)
Butter roti
Paneer lababdaar
Ambience : good for family
Service level : 8/10
Food quality : 9/10
Value for money: YES
Food was served hot, fresh and delicious !
P.S - Lee's wok ( Chinese) is also a part of them , you can enjoy Chinese as well !
The place is bit confusing ti find as its fused with lee's wok. The food taste was great and quantity also was sufficient. Subs miloni mix was one of the best mixed veg ever had along with chilla paratha was🌶️ and tasty
This review has been pending since a few months now and I finally decided to publish it. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to know that Gabbar’s Grill is the same place as Lee’s Wok, since that too is one of the places where i had enjoyed dinner earlier. There are 2 restaurant brands working from the same place, which seemed like an interesting way of operating business. I really liked the vibrant yellow ambience and all the filmy dialogues pasted on the colorful walls.
It was a nice and comfortable afternoon meal and I enjoyed every dish that we had ordered. Since I used the entertainer voucher we ordered four main courses at the price of two. The four dishes were Bhindi masala, sarson ka saag, shabnam curry and paneer lababdar. The tastiest one was paneer lababdar and the least one was shabhnam curry which had mushroom and peas. I somehow didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the other 3. Sarson ka saag was excellent and it was a very well balanced saag. Generally at other restaurants that I have tried, it leaves a little bitter after taste but at Gabbar’s Grill it was just perfect. I totally loved Bhindi Masala and the spice level complimented the dish really well. Overall great food, amazing staff, quick service and a good family ambiance makes it a nice 4/5 place.
Amazing kebabs, daal and biryani. Tastes just as good as Indian food in india. Definitely worth a try. Ideal place for catering large parties
Best butter chicken in town. Ordered today and had it with tandoori paratha. ..perfect blend of taste and spices....I m not a great fan of chana, but their pindi chana with kulcha is out of the world...will order again..keep up the good work...
Decent seating and service. All gravies were great except malai kofta where the kofta were a tad bit hard. Recommended Dal makhani and Methi cauliflower. Kadhai paneer can do better.
By default i trust their food whenever i go for home delivery. I hv nver visited their restaurant but i'm very confident that food would taste great. Am their big fan of rajma curry and by far in dubai this is the best rajma i hv ever tasted.
Delivered on time, piping hot barbecue included non-veg platter, veg platter and kali mirch chicken kebab. All the dishes were lip smackin great. Variety is both the platters were good, quantity against price also great. Fav was the paneer in platter and the kali mirch chicken. Will try out the main courses next time and give a 5 star if the food is good again.
Its in the same restaurant where leeswok is. We ordered from the indian menu which is the murg malai tikka. Love the chicken. Juicy and tender.
Recently at our visit to Lee's Wok, we savoured into two different cuisines, indo-chinese from Lee wok and indian from Gabbar Grill.
This chic restaurant has a great ambience and is quite welcoming. Both the restaurants have separate chefs for the specialized cuisines.
The restautrant, lees wok is 5 years old, however, gabbar's grill is just their new endeavour.
Gabbar's Grill is an authentic Indian restaurant serving the flavours of Indian food. We cudn't resist ourselves to try a dish from their menu as well. We gave the Tandoors Grill a shot and every item on the dish was toothsome. Every chicken and mutton pieces were succulent and we'll marinated with right amount of spices. Our favourite definitely were the drumsticks.
Thank You for having us over.
Was invited to try Gabbars grills, which was located in Gardens and luckily this place has some free parking at the side. Though it is a small eatery in size, the owners have managed to create an awesome fusion of North Indian and Chinese dishes with their original concept Lee's Wok. Despite what one may believe, the owners have created two different kitchens with different chefs and staff to cook the different cuisines. Once inside, one can see the lovely decorations that remind you of Northern Indian states and some iconic items from the movie Sholay and pictures of Amjad Khan as Gabbar Singh.
For the food, I ordered two grills ( who wouldnt in a grill place) one was Murgh Malai Kabab and the other was Charminar Seekh Kabab. The murgh malai kabab was exactly as I liked, melt in the mouth type and the Charminar mutton kababs were something a bit new to me because of the seasonings on the kabab which I hadn't tried before but both kebabs were great with the mint sauce and even spicy sauce if you ask for it. The prices at this place are very reasonable and as the staff are foodies themselves, you can rest assured of how great the food is.
Also since this place is 2 in 1 and you're looking for Chinese dishes, Lee's Wok is their other place that serves great items from SE Asia (not only Chinese also Thai and Filipino food) and their prices again are very very affordable
Thanks to Melissa Pinto for the invite and Richa for being such a great host
This outlet caught my eye totally because of its name. Located in building 5 in the Gardens buildings area, I stopped by here last week.
The interiors of the outlet are kind of unique and they've tried to make it look like Gabbar Singh's village eatery. The little miniature decors on tables are cute. I ordered the Chicken Roll. The size of the roll is good enough to be one meal. It had filling of green chutney, yogurt, onions, coriander and chicken which had a tandoor kind of taste. It was a bit spicy and heavy for me; but no doubt tasted good. The service was very good.
Definitely a place one must try specially if you live or love visiting Discovery Gardens area.
Was recommended this place by a good friend and I can confidently say it's the best Indian place in town! I strongly recommend the Aloo Gobi and Dal Makhani, absolutely delicious!
Stepped in for a weekend dinner. The palace had a decent ambience with cinematic theme everywhere.
Getting into their menu, one of the must try dishes is Gobi methi ke Took - was much tastier than expectations. Also their panner burjee was prepared well!!
Scrumptious Scavengers

A unique theme based restaurant off of bollywood’s infamous villain Gabbar from the movie Sholay. If Gabbar ever had a favourite hangout spot to eat with the rest of his dacoit gang it would be here haha! Cause this place is a tribute! The walls are adorned with quirky accessories and posters with references to the movie and not to mention their cheeky menu! From basanti ke meethe to mausi ki roti, this place is a hella fun spot for Gabbar’s fans to check out!
Always a fan of North Indian Food especially if its cooked fresh and served Hot. Gabbars Grill became one of my favorite after my first visit.
What we had:
Non Veg Platter - A mix of 5 different kebabs full of flavor. These were juicy and fresh.
Butter Chicken - so creamy and addicting
Rogan Josh - loved the balance of the flavors in this dish.
Overall: the service was impeccable done by the Owner herself, very accommodating.
GABBAR'S GRILL is a place tucked in the residential area of Discovery Gardens...Representing the legendary character "GABBAR" the theme of the resturant, food, servings, are based accordingly..As soon as you enter the restaurant the decor of kites, lamps, bottles painted beautifully, the overall ambiance, menu style gives you the desi vibes...The picture frames have some of the very famous dialouges of GABBAR taking you down the memory lane of the historical character..

PROS: Taste, Variety, Parking Availability

This place is a must visit! Tried dal makhni & paneer tikka masala.. Both dishes were amazingly rich & flavorful. These have been the best north indian dishes I have ever had till date in dubai. Will definitely come back to satisfy my taste buds.

Gabbar is Back.. He has!
.
Those who have watched Sholay, very well know who Gabbar is. This restaurant brings back the legend to us in the form of good food and grills ♥️. Located in Discovery Gardens, here goes my Review :
.
🌈AMBIENCE (4/5):An artistic place with painted yellow walls. Soothing interiors and is a good family dine in place.
.
🌈FOOD (5/5): The menu itself is dedicated to the characters of Sholay. So the concept of Gabbar Grill is home grown and the image of Gabbar emerging from the flame is totally MESMERIZING!
.
for starters I ordered the Amritsari fish Tikka, Bharwan Nukti Aloo and Harra Barra kabab. I highly recommend these and none didnt disappoint me.
.
For mains I had butter chicken with Garlic Naan and Hyderabad Chicken Biriyani. Loved the Butter chicken and the chicken biriyani had a nice aroma and was topped with delicious flavours.
.
For drinks I had the sweet Lassi and for the compliments, I was served with papad and mint chutney with pickles.
.
For desserts, I had gajar ka halwa and it was one of the best that I had tried here. Do give it a try when you go there!
. 🌈SERVICE (5/5): The food was served quickly and the price isn't expensive. My only feedback would be for the portion sizes served. A little more extra would be perfect 😁 .
Thank you so much @surenrajmohan and @gabbarsgrills for the invite. Will be coming back soon for more 😍

I ordered Gobi methi k tuk & it’s really different in taste. I liked the taste. For gobi lovers, it’s best dish to order. But their veg biryani is quite ok.
Gabbar’s grill is part of lee’s wok. They share the same location. So now you have the option to try some excellent Chinese and Indian cuisine in one go. Gabbar’s grill is typical Indian food mainly catering to the north Indian taste buds. The grills were excellent. We tried the Murg Tikka Kali Mirch ( grill chicken in black pepper) and Tandoori prawns and Burra Kabab. The kabab was a bit chewy but the chicken and prawns were very good. We then ordered the main course Murgh Korma which was excellent. The dessert was carrot halwa which had a colour that felt a bit artificial. After enquiring I found that a small amount of organic food color was used. Overall a good experience and food was good but the quantity was something that I felt was on the lower side.
Have you watched ‘Sholay’…?? What…??!!! You haven’t….how can you not have watched such a classic movie which was ranked first in the British Film Institute's 2002 poll of "Top 10 Indian Films" of all time!!! Just kidding….
Gabbars Grill, name derived from one of the prominent character 'Gabbar' from an old classic Bollywood movie 'Sholay'. The decor of this place is quirky and vibrant with images of Gabbar himself, old lanterns and kites hanging from the ceiling, small artifacts depicting the old Indian classic movie further iterates its name. Apart from that, the items on the menu further attributes to the name and charm of this place. This restaurant shares its dining space with Lees Wok which is a Chinese/Thai restaurant with two separate kitchen. In short, you can savor North Indian delicacies from Gabbars Grill and also be delighted to have some decent Chinese fare from Lees Wok.
We started off by ordering a veg kabab platter for ourselves. Along with that we had jeera lassi and lemon mint cooler. Lassi was pretty good and was a perfect accompaniment with the food. I didn't liked much of the lemon mint drink, too sweet for my liking. Coming to veg platter, it was well presented with five different types of veg kababs. Seekh kababs was perfectly textured, aptly spiced and it just melted in our mouths. Even the hara Bhara kabab, very soft and tasted so good, was one of the best I savored in recent times. Paneer tikkas were just alright.
Onto mains we had Dal Makhani and paneer Lababdar along with Lacha Parantha and pudina parantha. Dal Makhani was flavorful, thick in consistency topped with huge dollop of ghee and cream hence making it quiet rich too. Paneer Lababdar had chunks of soft paneer cubes in an onion and cashew based gravy. It went pretty well with hot, crisp and flaky lacha paranthas.
We were so full that we didn't tried any desserts here but that gave us another reason to come and try other vegetarian delicacies off the menu. Prices are quiet reasonable owing to the quantity and quality served. Can be a perfect take away options for residents of Discovery Gardens Area and nearby areas or a perfect dine out option with friends and families alike. Certainly recommended if in that area....
If you ask me honestly... go for it. We ordered veg platter as starters, paneer lababdar, dal makhani, dum biryani and rotis.. value for money.. Taste buds satisfied to max and apt for weekend house party with friend's.. tip is : add a touch by calling the restaurant to alter to your convenience...
I recommended strongly guys..
I’m sure you all are familiar with Gabbar Singh from the old classic Bollywood movie called “Sholay” that has inspired this restaurant and represents the cuisine at the same time (Indian). Almost all the decor is made out of old unused bottles and pretty colorful kites hanging from the ceiling and old sari used as drapes and so much more. I think its super innovative and smart to recycle all these things in this way.
A fusion of Indian and Chinese, this place is a two in one concept and so is the decor and food options. Two separate kitchens, two separate menu, two cuisines, under one roof. You can eat your kababs and momos too.
But first lets focus on Gabbars grill. A concept born out of the need to serve some kababs and north indian food with bollywood style names.
Gabbars is a compact restaurant and has some quirky decor which complement its theme of bollywood style named dishes. The servers are friendly and the service is prompt too.
What I gobbled here :-
1. Jaljeera: Its always a good idea to start a meal with a digestive. The drink was refreshing and filling
2. Tandoori Paneer : The marination was perfect, and taste wise too it was nice. However, smaller paneer cubes could have been a better option here.
3. Dal Makhani: Super creamy thick and delicious that paired well with the buttery and soft butter naan. Dal makhani came with dollops of butter battered on top
4. Gajjar Ka Halwa: Looks delicious, tasted delicious too. Although its a dessert most relished during winters, it is still a perfect sweet dish to celebrate any ocassion. The halwa was aromatic and satisfied my sugar cravings for sure.
Overall a nice experience and a meal I relished thoroughly.
We regularly order take aways and home deliveries from GG’s and not once we been disappointed.
Last night too was no different ...ordered quite a few chicken and mutton kebab rolls and some malai tikka which were simply outstanding 👌🏼
The spice levels were just right and the marinated meat was juicy and succulent to perfection. Good job!
Long weekend calls for visiting your favorite dining spots, but most of the time we stay back because of the crowded venues on weekends. Recently, I came across an Indian restaurant away from the hustle & bustle. The newly opened restaurant serves two cuisine in the same restaurant. So if you are in a mood of eating Chinese food or want to spend your weekend evening in a calm ambiance along with soul food & authentic Indian cuisine, try Gabbar’s Grill in Discovery Gardens.
The name is catchy and something you'll remember for a long time. Their food is something that will bring me back.
I had a dine in experience with my family on a Saturday evening for dinner. Located in Discovery Gardens, it's one of the best out there.
For drinks, just had a Jeera Lassi. Truly the best.
A mix platter is the best as it has a little bit of everything in it. The price is pretty decent too. It comes with a side of condiments which make it better. The flavour is great and best eaten when served.
For main course, we had Tawa Prawns, Butter Chicken, Mutton Rogan josh, Bread basket, and Hyderabadi Dum Biryani.
The prawns were great with its rich tomato gravy, the butter chicken taken in half portion was good, Mutton was soft and delicious, the bread basket had a good variety and the biryani I wished for more spice but the chicken covered it up well.
We ended it with a Gajjar Ka Halwa. The best I've eaten as it's made in house and fresh from the stove to the plate.
Good service and staff. Will come again!
Ordered food from the restaurant over the weekend and had asked for delivery by 9 pm. To my pleasant surprise the food was delivered 5m early. The starters chicken angare and mutton charminar sheekh were delicious. The mutton biryani was one of the best I had in Dubai.
Highly recommend for foodies who like North Indian cuisine.
From listening to the restaurant name to the home delivery experience, down to the food itself- this restaurant has put a smile on my face throughout! High quality food and great concept. Best daal maakhni I have EVER had! My other favorites on the menu are their mutton dishes- very different to any dishes I have ordered around town and VERY yummy. This one is a must try for all!
Good dine in experience...loved the kites on the ceiling....while you wait for your order to arrive..the artefacts on the table keeps you busy..great initiative of collection of hand painted bottles...had oredered stuffed kucha with Channa...bang on taste...will visit again...
