The first place in Dubai... Actually playing good music... And not discriminatory I actually felt like I belonged. And actually serving amazing drinks selections even for ladies' night. Other places overdilute drinks if it's ladies night n you're left there wondering, "What's the point?" Thank you KIZA. For giving me a wonderful experience.

Kiza is a Pan African Cuisine restaurant and a very busy and swanky place. With nice music, Good Ambience and very nice and tasty food, this place will take you to Africa. This fine dining Pan African restaurant creates a menu that transcends African culinary experience. We enjoyed the Music, Excellent Service & most of all the superb culinary experience which we had for the first time.

Pepper Soup is a Nigerian Favourite which we ordered with Chicken. This cooked in a blend of traditional African spices in a deep pot to get a spicy light broth. Very nice and healthy but very spicy.

For starters we ordered the Chicken Brik which is like the Indian Samosas of Chicken, Chopped Onion, Garlic, parsley & Cheese. One of the best starters with African twist. This is very highly recomended.

Peppered chicken is stir fry of bite sized Chicken with Vegetables. The sauce is amazing and we relished every bite.

Sudanese Tamiya is Falafel deep fried and served with Tahini sauce. Very hot and crunchy, it is better than the Arabic Falafels.

Talapia Fillet is a pan fried fish served with Tomato and Basil Risotto.

Red Snapper Fillet is pan fried fish served with Jolloff rice and their Signature Kiza sauce.

Desserts we had the Bannana cake and Peanut Butter cake. Excellent home made desserts for a grande Finale to an evening full of fun.

Follow me on instagram: MenuCreeper Kiza is an African restaurant, which itself is rare enough in Dubai, when you combine that with fine dining, you have an opportunity for something amazing and that is exactly what Kiza is. African food isn’t something that I always have so it is nice to enjoy it whenever I come across it. To me, KIZA is the best experience that I’ve had for African food, they take what is already flavorful and tops them even more with natural African herbs that will leave you in awe of the deliciousness of each dish, which isn’t something that I often say. In fact, all the food here is so good that I wouldn’t mind coming every week.

My 2nd home.... if I could rate it any higher... Chef Swana & her team never fail to deliver. I could rave about KIZA all day.. from the food to the ambiance to the service, the music, the drinks and the list goes on. Mr Joe all I can say is thank you.
The menu brings African cuisine alive, from the Kenyan ugali & nyama to the Nigerian Jollof Rice, suya and more. The plantains just melt in your mouth 🤩 my mouth is watering just typing this out :) the bar & floor superstars Kenneth, Kingsley, Nadine, Lebo & co...always friendly and ready with a smile on their faces. The security always on point, vigilante yet welcoming & helpful. Let's not forget the amazing DJ & hypeman keeping us on our feet and burning the calories with their incredible afrobeat sets!! Not exactly a Pan African food restaurant (perhaps “African food” is too much generalized concept.) but we loved the interior design and its lively atmosphere. We went there just after the lunch so we took americano coffee and ice creams. Both tasted terrific!

African cuisine isn't out there in the market but Kiza surely deserves to be. I visited this restaurant that turns to a lounge later at night.

They recently started their Friday brunch so I visited with my family. It's got a great vibe with some african beats and music.

We started off with the snacks platter - Sudanese Tamiya, BBQ Boreworks, Balangu, Beef Suya, Viazi Vai Karai. While it was mostly meat based, Viazi was a vegetarian item. Quite a generous portion and tasted great.

For mains, we had a Jollof Rice with Grilled Chicken & Pan Fried Talapia served with Green Vegetables. I loved Jollof Rice for it's flavour. Talapia was fried to perfection.

We skipped on the desserts as we waited for almost 15 minutes for the plated to be cleared and / to be attended too after calling out.

Nonetheless, their drinks and food was delicious and would definitely recommend.

Kiza is an experience of it's own a journey to Africs with beautiful decoration over the whole place art pieces of Afroca scenery and large mounted pictures of animals found there
Although the service is not upto mark as expected from a fine dining cuisine yet food portions served are generous with traditional beef and lanb cuisine served in the menu
We ordered
Grilled chicken with rice and grilled corn
Beef Suya served with masala fries
Lamb Balangu
All food was well presented however thaste could be still improved with addition of more fnlavoured sauces
Fully equipped bar at Kiza with loud music good for the music lovers

Kiza was a great eye opener for me, guess it was one of the premium African restaurant in Dubai. Located at the high rolling DIFC area, Kiza is a modern mix of traditional African roots to the more modern look and feel. Beautifully decorated, cool African artifacts, a private area, tables, lounger chairs, sofas, all add individual vibrance to the whole place. The bar is fully equipped set in the middle of the Restaurant in sort of a V shape. We loved the music being played by the DJ and for a midweek, this place was packed.

So I’ve been out to Kiza for their club nights. Great African music for night goers. This time around ended up going with my cousin. Ordered beef suya and plantain to compliment the drinking. The beef came with onions tomatoes and ground up seasoned dry pepper, it was really good, presentation was on point. The plantain was served with blended habanero peppers. It was hotter than I could handle but I didn’t notice the heat of the peppers due to being intoxicated. Polite staff, beautiful African themed interiors, and great attention to detail. A place worthy of regular visits. I apologise for the quality of the picture; alcohol is a stone cold *****.

This place has fostered quite a reputation for itself here in Dubai, so we had to try it out. And I'm happy to say that we're glad we did.

In terms of the place - it's really well decorated and has a lovely feel to it. We ended up going very early - around 7 - on a weekday, and were the only ones there. But it began to fill up pretty quickly at around 8. Always worth reserving.

The food here was SO varied, you really didn't know where to start. But thanks to our EXCELLENT waiter Gad, we managed to navigate our way through the menu pretty easily.

For starters we had the Kelewele, which was fantastic, and the Pepper soup with goat, which was also nice, but so very spicy/ hot.

For mains, we went for the mix grill, which was massive and really quite tasty. The sides we got with that were Jollof rice, which was also very nice, just a little sweeter than I've experienced in the past, and Sukuma Wiki, which was nice, but not too exciting.

And for dessert, we got a Mandazi to share between two of us. Although it was for one, the portion was more than enough for two to share between. And it was also - so good!

All in all, a very enjoyable evening. Thank you again to Kiza, and to Gad!

This place serves Pan African food and it is located in the Emirates financial towers .
They have happy hours with drinks that come as cheap as 20 AED on every Tuesday .
The service was not up to the mark and a little slow and sloppy. But their food was AMAZING and definitely worth giving this place a try.
We ordered the couscous salad, the red spicy stew with chicken and sides and grilled chicken with masala fries sides .
The stew and the fries were spicy and tasted really good, so if your not up for spicy food this place is definitely not for you.
For dessert we had the molten cake with vanilla ice-cream and it was HEAVENLY.The cake was the right amount soft and moist .
Lastly the prices are not steep at all.

The restaurant is specialised in African food (mainly Nigerian and Kenyan if I understood well). The decoration is nice and the food very well presented. I found the fish soup excellent with a fresh and tasty piece of fish. The main meals were good but you need to like the African food to really enjoy it (I found the meat a bit dry - the grilled fish was excellent). Some meals can be very spicy, unless you specify.
The service was acceptable.

A good place to eat if you want to try something new.

I never had an African food before, a friend of mine was bragging about this place and African dishes, so i said why not give it a try so i went there with my friend and ordered a fish with rice, I've got to say it was absolutely delicious , my taste buds were on fire but i didn't care , it was like food adrenaline where every bite was unexpected and delicious, ,ambiance was also nice , but service was below avg, in all a very unexpectedly good experience , now i think i love African food. For food alone 5/5 , service 2/5 , and ambiance 3/5 food presentation 3.5/5.

A unique experience in Dubai! That's something! Only pan-African restaurant in Dubai, as far as I know.
The result is an eclectic menu with food from several countries in Africa! And, we tried several of them. From Boerwors from South Africa to Nyama Choma from Kenya, it was a feast.
The main courses are divided into 3 groups and provides plenty of choices. And, you can't go wrong with a select menu of starters.
The ambience is very modern and service is excellent.
A must visit.

Food tasting at Kiza was an experience which will be kept in the memorabilia of my memory casket.  Situated in the Dubai International Financial Centre, Kiza takes you on a safari of the African cuisine, and on this safari you will find food from different parts of this popular country. Kiza is a pan African culture hub. Interestingly, it has also been a platform for many African artists to come and perform in Dubai. It brings to the fore the best African style hospitality, the warmth of people in Africa and the love they spread around themselves. It is a uniquely charming experience altogether.

KIZA is the first authentic pan-African restaurant in Dubai. The moment you enter the restaurant you are welcome with warmth African hospitality. Located in one of the most happening location DIFC Kiza is one destination where the food is served from different regions of Africa. Not only the food but also interior reflects the strong and vibrant African culture. With Afro jazz live band to open bar everything make a guest comfortable and give close to home feel. I started with a drink called ADUNI a cery popular in house with strong mix of vodka and dark rum, loved the presentation. One more vodka based concoction called ZANZIBARI was a perfect pick with the meal.

Maaaaaaaaaan!!!!! WHAT IS THIS PLACE???

I got invited over to review their set menu. I was asked if I would be interested in an African restaurant and my answer was YASSSSS!!! People usually do not talk or spread African culture as it deserves. But I am a huge "fan" of African culture and art. They in an overall such friendly people that will always receive you with open arms... And at Kiza it wasn't different.

I felt home, I didn't feel in Africa.

The front door decor is straight one of the most creative representations I have seen.

The staff was so cordial and our waiter, Mutiu, an absolute gentleman. The bar lady was so so nice to me, explaning the drinks and explaining everything. And they were SO GOOD! But if you don't drink, they also serve amazing African mocktails that is a must try.

The first bite of food I had took me back home flying... The Meat Pie is something that tastes like grandma's food. Feels like they were being cooked slowly for a long time. The chicken wings are perfect. The African BBQ sauce is a winner.

The Goat Soup was too spicy for me, but the meat was extra soft and very delicious. The Beans soup brought me to Brazilian winters...

The couscous... We couldn't stop eating. Something so simple and humble made me and my husband fight to see who was going to take the last serving. Hahahaha. The mango salad has a good choice of leaves but lost to the couscous.

Princes Kiza, a whole baked fish, was PERFECT. Awesome seasoning and the rice it is served with remembered me of something my mother used to cook for us as a kid.

The dinner went from a tasting to me becoming a full savage on the food till the point I couldn't eat any longer. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Usually I taste couple of bites when I am reviewing a restaurant so I can go through everything. But this time things went so "wrong". Hahahahaha. I had to ask them to stop serving because I ate all the dishes COMPLETELY till that point. They were kind enough to send me home with the rest of the menu. And guess what? Didn't survive 24hrs! HAHAHAHA.

The BBQ ribs were SO GOOD!! The meat melting from the bone and so flavorful that I swear I didn't share with my husband. Hahahahaha.

So do I need to say anything else? I felt sick from iver eating on a restaurant review till the point I couldn't finish what I was there to do... THAT'S HOW GOOD IT IS!!

Kiza is my new favorite place in Dubai.

Yet another successful event by Monica Kapila of Doin Dubai, this one also marked the first anniversary of Blogger Managed Events.
Kiza, is ideally located in DIFC and has the perfect ambience for a GoTo place after work, with a gorgeous bar and a dance floor right next to it and private dining area on the side this could be a perfect destination for any occasion or just an after work hang out as a pose to its previous smaller location in DHCC.

We had the pleasure of trying out some gorgeous African inspired outfits mine was a long tip with this vibrant print on it that I completely fell in love with, these were designed here in Dubai and are conveniently available at Ntombi Couture.
You can be at an African place and not do some waka waka e e 😀 we learned the classic dance step all thanks to the gorgeous people at Kiza.

Now the most important part of the review, the food. We started off with a warm lamb pepper clear soup which was rich in flavors, and then came the lentil soup which was very soothing as well.
The salad was crisp and refreshing and the mango in it did the trick for me. The meat empanadas are a classic and we're surely well done. Then came the chicken wings that were cooked well to my liking or I was probably too full by then. The Kele Wele how ever was the true show stopper for me. It went so well with the sautéed peanuts.

Now I didn't know but my friend Monica of Doin Dubai told me that Kale is grown like our Mint everywhere across all places in Africa, that's why the Sukuma Wiki Kale, warm salad or side dish if you like to call it was so delicious. Peri Peri Prawns were massive and rich in flavor. Jallof rice is a tomato based rice that can be served with anything and eaten on its own too.

The mixed grill offcourse is always the highlight of the meal and this was served on a large board and meat was stacked up in style, however it lacked the kick we usually prefer in a grill, but hey !! Our food gets cold taking pictures for you guys !! :p
The sea beam that was served while for photos and then later sliced for tasting was just amazing but beware of bones.
So it does justice to its name the Princess.
My friends tried some vegetarian dishes of which I had a spoon as well, head over to Annika Paniker's post to see those details.

Deserts were Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Molten Chocolate Cake & the Fruit Salad and yes everything was delicious and all three of these were perfect. The tropical fruit salad was game.

Kiza, is surely an experience you don't want to miss out onn.

Had a lovely time celebrating a friend's birthday in KIZA recently. The service was amazing, the staff catered to all our requests and the manager recommended a very affordable set menu for our group. This is by far the best place to book for parties. The food was delicious, especially the goat pepper soup and the oxtail with white rice! I will definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic African cuisine in Dubai. After reading all the bad reviews here i was a bit worried about trying this restaurant but i think its necessary to point out that some traditional cuisines require acquired taste, if you are new to African cuisine, the staff are happy to guide your choices so that you find something you would enjoy. My non African friends really enjoyed their food.

Now I haven’t been back home to Africa in several years, so entering the world of KIZA was a step closer for me to be home, and I truly felt right at home! From the irresistibly catchy music, to the ‘we’re all family here’ attitude the staff portray, and ofcorse, the food. Everything at KIZA came together wonderfully to scratch my home-sick itch.

I was invited by Monica from DoinDubai to this Blogger-Managed Event, and from start to finish, this event was great! Not only was the food delicious, but the whole vibe was amazing! It’s not every day I literally get up and start dancing in the middle of the restaurant, but at KIZA I just couldn't resist! All of us got up and started dancing! We learned some African dance moves too! It was so much fun! And you can only imagine how wild we got when they started playing the ‘Waka Waka’ song! I literally danced like there was no tomorrow! And speaking of tomorrow, ‘Tomorrow Africa” is KIZA’s tagline, and I for one love it! It clearly shows that KIZA is not only for the fun & games but also for Africa’s well being and future prosperity.

When my fellow bloggers and I first reached the restaurant, we were all spoiled by the stunning fashion designs of Ntombi Couture. The designer brought us all different African-inspired clothing which she has specifically designed for this event! I was in complete awe of the stunning fabrics and patterns! They were all so beautiful and I for one would be happy to wear them at any day or time, because she truly found the perfect balance between the authentic African clothing and today’s modern fashion!

Once we all got dressed up, we started receiving all the delicious food and drinks. We started off with some passion fruit mojitos and traditional African appetizers.

Pepper Soup with Lamb made with traditional African spices.
This soup was beyond delicious! It was spicy and I loved that about it. The only downside to this soup was that they had some lamb fat, which I believe is used to give more flavor to the soup, but I personally wasn't a fan. Nevertheless, the soup itself, with all it’s incredible African spices was heavenly. Once I’m back at KIZA, I have no doubt that I will be ordering this soup again!

North African Lentil Soup
Being Libyan, I grew up having this soup most of my childhood, so it wasn't very special to me. Nevertheless, they did give it justice and made the soup as authentic as possible.

Kele Wele
This was interesting! Not only is the name super fun to say, but the dish itself was so different and tasty! It’s basically a Ghanian street food that has spicy fried ripe potato fries with peanuts. It sounds simple, it is simple, but oh so delicious! This makes the perfect appetizer to any pan-African meal!

Special BBQ Grilled Chicken Wings
The BBQ sauce was delicious, however, I preferred the chicken to be slightly more cooked than it was. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn't pink or anything dangerous, but it didn't have that crispy texture I love. Nevertheless, it was pretty tasty overall.

KIZA Mango Salad
Simplicity always wins. This salad cannot disappoint anyone. It’s easy on the stomach, good for a diet and cant help but please anyone.

African Meat Patty
When I saw ‘patty’ on the menu, I nearly jumped out of my seat to yell out “HORRAY!” I’m a huge patty fan, and at KIZA, I became even a bigger one! For the lack of better words, it was simply delicious!

Then came our delicious main courses. We started off with;
The Peri Peri prawns
They tasted delicious! Tiger prawns sautéed with KIZA’s special African sauce. What more can you ask for?!

Princess KIZA
This was definitely my favorite main course. It’s a large sea bream fish baked to perfection! It was perfectly marinated and honestly tasted incredible! Highly recommend trying this Princess KIZA out!

Mixed Grill Platter
This platter was not made for the faint hearted! This massive platter consisted of everything you can want in a meat platter, from Lamb Chops to Chicken to Beef and also Nyamachoma, which is Kenyan for ‘roast meat’. This platter was amazing!

Althougth we were served quite a few sides, I only managed to try the Sukuma Wiki African Kale, which was a delicious kale salad, and even if you’re not a big kale fan, I strongly suggest you try this specific one as it is not your typical kale salad. The Sukama Wiki spices turned this kale upside down and made it into a salad that I truly enjoy eating; who would have thought!
The other side dish I tried was the Jollof rice. Personally, for me, it was good. Nothing stand-outish, but I enjoyed it as it complemented the main courses perfectly.

And then came the delicious desserts, we had the following three:

Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Simple yet tasty. If you like your desserts to feel home-made, this is the dessert for you!

Tropical Fruit Salad
Who doesn't like fruits?! We all enjoyed this platter, especially with our delicious teas and coffees.

Chocolate Molten Cake
I can’t speak for everyone, but this was definitely the best in my books! Sweet, rich and oh so good! This molten cake will leave you wanting more!

Overall, KIZA is an amazing place to go to and leave the world behind! If you want to try something different, then KIZA is a great choice! Delicious food & drinks, friendly staff, amazing music and just a great vibe; what more can you possibly ask for in a night out?!

Kiza is an upscale restaurant and lounge located on the ground floor of emirates financial towers in DIFC. They promote Pan-African culture and we had such a fun evening here when I was invited here by Monica Kapila of Doindubai. To get into the African vibe we had we had authentic African clothes designed by Ntombi Couture. Personally, I just loved the African shirts that I was wearing, lovely bright colors and something I had not experienced before. We were also taught some African dance moves on famous songs from the region. We all had so much fun trying to shake a leg.

Kiza is the first authentic pan-African restaurant in Dubai. It’s an upscale restaurant and lounge based in the Dubai International Financial Centre with a menu consisting of a selection of popular dishes from across the continent. We came here one night as we were invited by Monica of DoinDubai.com. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed to experience the warm African hospitality and of course, to have a taste of the diverse continent’s palate.

KIZA used to be located somewhere in Healthcare City and was a lot smaller venue/bar. The new space in DIFC is huge! It has a bar which takes centre stage lined with African drums as chairs. In the middle is the DJ booth and dance floor where we learn from the African staff members how to do a traditional dance which they do at weddings. It was super fun!

I don't usually write reviews but this time I had such an amazing experience that I just had to! It was first time visiting kiza... from the time we entered until the end of the night everything was spot on.. The service was outstanding.. We had Terry Ann and Peter who looked after us..The food was so delicious.. I love Kenyan food. The Ugali was cooked to perfection ..even the starters was so devine! Our drinks was refilled the whole night..only thing i would recommend is for the meat to be a little more tender however it still had such a delicious flavour. The staff was all so warm.. Terry ann made us feel like we were at home! I cannot thank @them enough. It's not easy to find good food, good service a awesome vibe all at one place but kiza has out done themselves.. Thank you all for the amazing experience . We will be back for sho with the rest of africa

I wanted to give 5 ratings but having a history working in a same place before the white wine must be served in chilled glass and white wine should be chilled as well, but aside from that everything especially the servers are great :)

Now, its my second time and it seemsthat they reduce the coupons for ladies night. Oh well that is fine but.. The staff never fails to amuse me :)) I love the staff of kiza difc

Their Food is really quite amazing and well prepared but the pricing is a bit confusing. Cocktails and mock tails were great and the LIVE band is everything 😍 I would stay here forever if the live band never stopped. Nice atmosphere in general. Lovely dining experience

Hmm...was there as part of an event...chilled out music and a lovely African experience...

I allowed the steward guide our choices; loved the cigar lounge tour and realised that it's a great place to catch some downtime after meetings at difc! Don't have to drive through peak hour traffic to catch up wt a friend!

It was a goodnight ,went for dinner with a friend, the staffs are extremely friendly and polite. The ambience was superb, it was good to see a classy setting with an African twist. The music in the back ground was reminiscent of ancestral vibes from the motherland. The food was good but wasn't completely authentic. Overall a great place to have dinner & a great experience. Would definitely be coming back!

I absolutely LOVE Kiza. As a discerning foodie who has travelled all over Africa, I have it give it to them for making me nostalgic about the continent. The food is really tasty, the restaurant itself is stunning and I love what they have done with the art outside. Big thumbs up to the band too.

Popped into the cigar lounge too which is stunning. Great drinks, food, music... EVERYTHING!

Kiza is definitely my new hot spot in Dubai. Great that it is also at my doorstep - DIFC. LOVE it!
