This is the breakfast outlet located in the Dusit D2 Kenz hotel in Barsha Heights. You won't miss it on the ground floor of the hotel and there's valet as well!
The decor of the outlet is really classy and rustic with perfect lighting. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I couldn't dine in so I ordered a takeaway. I ordered the Light Meal Option of Grilled Free Range Chicken Breast. The chicken was very juicy and grilled well. Of course it was bland as it was a light option but the quality was very good. The service was pretty efficient and well packaged.
I must say it's a bit heavy on pocket, but definitely good enough for another try when I'm around 😊

Ostro is located on the lobby level of Dusit D2, in Barsha Heights. With both indoor and outdoor seating, Ostro transports you to a calm and relaxed space instantly. The warm low ceiling lights, the earthy tones with vintage space makes you feel like you are on a retreat far away from the city.
The interiors with comfortable workstations with plug points makes it an apt place for digital nomads.
My friend and I visited for a dinner invite for an exclusive tasting menu.
We started off with Caesar salad, please do check with the servers as the portions are huge.
The salad was enough for us both. I prefer less dressing in my Caesar salad (I know, it’s a personal choice), and hence I didn’t really like the salad as much as I would have otherwise. The salad was fresh nevertheless.
For the mains we ordered the tenderloin fillet. This is definitely a must have. The plate was beautiful with rocket salad, boiled baby potatoes, and medium rare steak with a side of jus. The steak was cooked to medium rare perfection, the rocket salad was delish. I could eat a bowl of that. It had the perfect amount of olive oil and fresh juicy cherry tomatoes! The potatoes, steak and salad were just perfect!
We then chose to go for chocolate bomb!
It’s a seemingly innocent chocolate globe that is drenched in chocolate sauce, and then comes the best part when you break it apart.
The name is rightly so, it is an explosion of chocolate, caramel, vanilla icecream, and fresh berries. I would highly recommend this. We both savored every last bit and wiped the plate clean.
The ambience is amazing and just perfect! The service is really good, they were extremely attentive to our needs and the plates were cleared post the second course.
Nice restaurant in Tecom with great coffee, breakfast and service. I’ve ordered their signature eggs (see pictures) and wasn’t disappointed. The ambience is very relaxing and welcoming, the staff incredibly helpful. Recommended if you’re in the area.
Went in the daytime and parked up because they didnt answer their phone and the valet was nowhere to be seen. For this reason dropped this place to a 3. If they dont answer calls how are customers meant to communicate with them.

•Scrambled Egg with Wild Mushroom: was good.
•Organic Poached Egg on Toast: was very nice! The Beetroot labneh added extra level of flavor to the dish.
•Almond Banana Hotcake: this was awesome! Amount is very generous, fruits on top was tasty and fresh (green and red apple, dragon fruit and mixed berries) with maple syrup, healthy and super tasty! This was the best and a must try!
•Earl grey tea: nice.

Good food options but i guess they can do better given they are part of Dusit. The ambiance tho is really nice and bright makes you wanna stay more and have fun talks with people you share your good food with.
It's my 1st visit in Ostro and we really had a great time. Interior and decor is so easy to the eyes and their pieces of artwork is so interesting. Once you set your foot inside the place, you will instantly feel the great vibes it brings. Lighting and atmosphere is intimate. Friendly, accommodating staff and they have a generous portion of the wisekai pizza that I ordered. Everything went well until we left and this is the kind of place that you will definitely recommend.

Very few places get the 5th star and this one earned it.
I was there a couple of days ago with a colleague and tried a few dishes. The location is very good and getting there couldn’t be easier.
The greeting, the natural light, the smell of the place, the cleanliness and the nice modern decor; everything is spot on. Most importantly the food is excellent.
I wouldn’t go too long on this review and will jump straight into conclusion: highly recommended.

Ostro is the all day dining option at Dusit D2, a sister company of the Dusit chain that you usually see around the world. The restaurant itself is one of the few that the hotel has, considering that it is a 4 star property, but it doesn’t stop Ostro from providing delicious food that makes you want to go back.
Strongly recommend! Very good food, very nice service, good renovation, and you can use zomato gold to buy one get one free. Worth it! I came here for breakfast, Definitely I will come back again to try dinner.

My favorite spot in the area. It's a restaurant and co-working space perfect for uninterrupted laptop work. I like their food and even more the background music! It's a great work companion and I find myself always trying to find out what the song is. They also offer free water which is a nice touch. Highly recommended!

Ostro is a hotel restaurant based in Barsha Heights (aka Tecom) where we came for breakfast one morning on a whim.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Decor is chilled and relaxed with a very casual beach boho vibe with its soft furnishings, light painted woods and decorative touches.
• Breakfast menu is strong with the usual suspects with some twists such as acai bowls, eggs benedict, shakshuka, mushrooms on toast etc.
• Acai bowl is beautiful with dragon fruit, toasted coconut, toasted almond slivers giving texture and sweetness as well as fresh red berries
• Eggs benedit is called a BENNIE which features sumac in its hollandaise which helps to lighten the dish up tremendously - it's a modern regionally inspired interpretation of a hotel breakfast classic
• Tons of space for a large group of people for breakfast / brunch
• Free drinking water in carafes to take to your table
LOWLIGHTS:
• Portion sizes are quite small which was surprising and also a shame
• Come for late breakfast as the hotel breakfast service means some tables were not clean / ready as the staff was trying to keep up with the table turnarounds. I recommend 11-11.30 for breakfast as I think the hotel breakfast service must stop around 10 - 10.30 when they were clearing up the buffet options.
I would definitely come back for lunch and the lunch menu also looked quite good to memory.

An impromptu visit to Ostro with my family for a quick dinner before shopping all night. A very lively restaurant and beautiful interiors. A good choice of desserts and pastries at the counter as you enter so you know what you're eating to end the meal before you even start.
Fresh juices/smoothies have some cool name so we had an Original OJ (Orange Juice) and Mi Kale Jackson (Kale, Avocado, and Banana). Both were fresh and well blended.
Soup of the day ended up being Lentil Soup. Hot and aromatic, tasted best with lemon squeezed.
All Day Brekkie had some great selection of choice. French Toast caught my eye and heart by the end of it.
Tenderloin Fillet with Hash browns on the side and some delicious sauce made my day. Sprinkled with sea salt, it's worth a try.
Smoked Chicken is a sandwich. We chose the half portion so as to not waste it. Eat it fresh.
Bubble bread - Nights in Casablanca was a really large portion to what we had in mind. More like a pizza but better.
For dessert, we had Tiramisu. While it may not be the best we've ever had, it was delicious nonetheless.
We ended it with a hot cup of Green Matcha Latte.

How often do you hear a restaurant tell you that they’ve revamped their menu AND reduced prices?? It’s like music to your ears. First of all, this place is one of my favourite hidden gems. No offense, but who would think that such a lovely place exists in Barsha Heights??. Not only is it totally Insta-worthy with its whitewashed decor, quirky decorations and vintage-style tableware, but they have delicious food at affordable prices to boot – even more so if you use an Entertainer voucher.

Wonderful place with great ambience and food. I ve been here multiple times already and it has never disappointed. Have tried ( in no particular order) the sweet potato fries, croquettes, business lunch ( recommend the salmon potato fish cakes and the mussels), the grilled baby chicken, gyros, chickpea burger, the grilled prawns platter and the sorbets/desserts. Totally fell in love with everything! The service is also a pleasant delight! Entertainer and Zomato gold are both valid here!

I visited Ostro for Iftar which is located in Barsha in DusitD2 Kenz Hotel. The first impression is great, as the interiors are very nice: a very open space with lots of attention to detail.
After the call to prayer, we were started off with some really delicious dates , after which we went to get our food. There was a variety of starters, especially the salads and the desserts; my favorite were the macarons.
We then helped ourselves to a couple of options for soup and some nice main courses. However, I would go back just for the the roast chicken, which really stood out. We were also served a mixed grill platter on the table, which had a decent variety but the taste was alright. The meat seemed overdone. There was lots of options for drinks, like Rooh Afza, Pomegranate Juice, Laban etc
At 139 AED pp, it is a pretty decent deal for iftar in Dubai.

Second time I’ve visited Ostro and another great dining experience. It’s a Mediterranean restaurant situated on the Ground Floor on the Dusit D2 Kenz Hotel. I need to praise the interior designer of the restaurant because it’s such a beautiful space which really gives off those Mediterranean beach house vibes and down to every last detail including the crockery.
Most recently I visited for their iftar which is an open buffet style of salads, mezze, hot dishes including a succulent roast chicken complete with stuffing balls and gravy as well as a touch of Greece with a spinach and feta Greek Pie also known as Spanakopita which I topped with a dollop of tzakiki, delish! They also delivered a mixed grill platter to us and the table was stocked with dates and water for those needing to break their fast. I loved the various salads on offer which were far more interesting than what you’d find at other buffets. The staff here are attentive and friendly, making an effort to interact with my friends baby. The manager also visits our table to ensure we’re enjoying our dining experience. Out of the desserts on offer, the chocolate brownie was my favorite by far, chewy, gooey and with choc chip bites inside. Washed down with some delicious green apple tea.

So we decided on this place because of the ambience and the proximity from Home. Firstly they need to mention their location on zomato better. It is a restaurant located in the newly opened Dusit D2 hotel in Barsha Heights. The decor and ambience of this place was just amazing. It has a very Mediterranean feel to it and is nice and bright which kinda makes you feel good already. We ordered the ceaser salad, Fattoush, Grilled Salmon and two pizzas. The salad, fattoush and the salmon were really nice and something that I would definitely go back again for. The pizzas can be much better, but then I generally would stick to pizzeria if I wanted pizza so won’t blame them much for it. Overall being on zomato gold also was good so we could get a discount 😊😊

A hidden gem! I visited this place as I found them on the entertainer app. To my surprise this place has a beautiful, warm & rustic look that makes you feel so comfortable yet classy.
The food here was just too good for words to do justice.
Jumbo prawns, ravioli, salmon and baby chicken is what we ate and we loved it all!! They offer you some complimentary drinks that were yummy too.
Extremely friendly staff however the service was a bit slow and food took very long to come. I'm assuming that's because the restaurant is not very busy on a weekend (because weekdays they mainly cater to business lunches etc.).
All in all a must try!

Sudden plan ended up so yum! New place, a year old they said! lovely afternoon lunch at this gorgeous set up, simply beautiful! So calm and so modern. The food was simply delicious, delightful surprise to our taste buds! What we had :

Ostro was such a delight to dine in. From its wonderful staff, to it's delicious food; it was a true pleasure! And what impressed me the most was it's drop-dead-gorgeous interiors. It's interiors is so airy, I couldn't help but feel happy when dining there.
I had lunch here a few days ago and was very pleased overall. The service was great, pricing was reasonable and location was quite convenient too, though do keep in mind it may be a bit confusing coming the first time, as the hotel's entrance is somewhat hidden from the main road. But do make the effort to dine here, as it is truly worth it.
For appetizers, I ordered the Betteraves Roties (48DHS). If you're a fan of Beets, this meal will be your best friend! It consists of roasted beets, crumbled goat cheese, pickled onions, capers, honey-thyme vinaigrette and micro greens. It was truly the perfect way to start any meal!
Next I ordered the Insalata Burrata (50DHS). Well, ofcorse I did. I'm the biggest fan of Burrata cheese and I simply cant resist but order it every time I see it on a menu. Ostro's Burrata tasted great, however, I did find it very small. But then again, it justifies it's low price and makes it certainly worth the order!
For my main course, I wanted the Maine Lobster but unfortunately they did not have it averrable. Then, I settled for the Allevamento Locale Mare Bas (Local Farmed Seabass) (75DHS). The waitress recommended it as an alternative to the lobster and I'm glad she did. The 180gm of deliciously fresh seabass was made to perfection! I enjoyed each and every bite!
I also couldnt help but order the Gamberos (Prawns) (85DHS). Also very very delicious! If you're a fan of prawns in general, you will be pleased to know that at Ostro, they did not overdose the prawns with a bunch of needless ingredients. They let the prawn speak for itself, and speak it did! Each bite was better than the last one! Definitely a must-try among the many must-tries that Ostro has to offer!
To end this lunch, the waitress recommended that I try the Chocolate Basil Bomb (50DHS). It's one of those chocolate spheres that melt when pouring the hot chocolate on top and revealing whatever dessert is inside. I've seen this whole performance done about a billion times, so I personally wasnt impressed. Nevertheless, I did love the ice cream that was neatly placed within the so-called 'bomb'. The ice cream flavor that impressed me the most was the Turkish Coffee Ice Cream. It truly tasted just like Turkish Coffee! I loved it!
Overall, I would consider Ostro as a hidden gem. It truly shocks me to see that it's almost always empty. Truly a shame. I would recommend you give it a try and find out what you've been missing!
The place is beautiful, the food is delicious and the service is really good. Very quiet and suitable for groups outings. My only comment is that the place needs to stand out more like hang a sign or something.

Today i tried their business lunch (sun-mon) which they started serving only recently it cost 70AED and it include main menu item & appetizer or dessert .
I ordered "Betteraves Roties" which is a beetroot salad its well presented but the taste is very average .And "Ravioli Alla Raimondo" which contains chicken, mushroom, spinach in tomato-cream
Rating: 7 although the ravioli needed to be cooked a little more
.In the evening you can go and have just a cup of coffee or dinner and enjoy the atmosphere .
Overall experience was good the interior is stunning 💙💙💙

I stopped in for lunch earlier in the week (tucked tightly into busy Barsha Heights) and was immediately impressed by the high ceilings, natural light, and overall design (a great location for capturing the perfect flat lay, should you be interested). My dining partner and I sampled a few of the starters -- my favorite being the Tzatziki, which I would happily order again. Our mains were equally impressive.
My suggestions are limited -- there was a healthy juice that didn't hit for either of us, and I think the service from the staff is a bit mixed -- very friendly, but perhaps a bit less polished than other more established restaurants.
Would I go back? While I'm not usually in the neighborhood, the AED70 lunch special is definitely worth stopping in for.
Visited Ostro for lunch on a Saturday, I loved the interiors and design of the place, very cute and picturesque, I also heard they have a breakfast buffet that is quite good!
For the appetisers we ordered the beetroot salad, the hummus and the chicken skewers! The skewers were delicious, I loved them! All the dishes had very cute presentation!!
For the mains we got the Quatro Stagioni pizza and the chicken Souvlaki! The pizza was delicious and served on thing crust! The chicken souvlaki main dish was VERY similar to the chicken skewers, we wish we had tried something else! It was delicious nonetheless!
For the desserts we had the Chocolate bomb and the Lemon Milk Tart, both are definitely recommended. The bomb is for those of you who have more of a sweet tooth!

We visited Ostro for an afternoon snack, the service was great from the moment we entered, my son got a high chair, special plate and cutlery for kids.
We started with the beef carpaccio which had a good mix of flavors with the toppings it had as well as the grilled cheese on top, it was great even though it didnt taste like an italian carpaccio to me.
We also ordered a margarita pizza, the pizza tasted fresh, I could tell the tomato sauce used is made in-house.
Finally we had the choco bomb for desserts along with coffee. The coffee was good but the dessert was extraordinary, it consists on a chocolate shell with coffee ice cream, mixed berries, and a brownie inside topped with caramel.

Okay, so TheShazWorld (Syeda Shanaz Hussain)a nd I dropped by the all-day dining place one lively weekend and guess what? We not only got to catch sight of their scrumptious breakfast buffet, but also tried a few delicacies from their lunch menu. A great brunching experience I would say.
For breakfast, we were presented with a wholesome selection of the freshest Fruit Platter, Muffins, Quiche, Croissant, Coffee and Juice. Since the buffet looked and actually was too good to miss, we took a bite from almost everything but made sure to leave ample space for our mains.
Get ready for some tummy rumbling while you read on to what variety we gobbled on as our main meal:
• Tzatziki – a healthy and great tasting combination of crispy flat bread and yogurt with fresh mint, celery and cucumbers.
• Carpaccio – this one was finger licking good pepper crusted beef tenderloin and capers. It had the right amount of spices and was just as tender as I hoped it would be.
• Grilled Shrimps – jumbo shrimps with garlic, lemon, olive oil and salsa Verde which gave it a lovely tangy taste. Loved every bite!
• Filetto – Basically a beef steak that tasted totally delicious and the mashed potatoes as well as in-house sauce just enhanced its flavor.
Dessert was next in line for which we picked the Cream Catalana that tasted so delicious and velvety. It was a combination of vanilla, cinnamon, caramelized sugar and custard topped with berries. Also, we made sure to taste the cute bottled drinks from The Tapping Tapir, a Malaysian owned business that uses all natural ingredients in its sodas. Our Rose and Orange Jasmine flavors were superb.
Overall, this dining retreat offers amazing food, service and ambiance. Do give it a try, especially if you are fond of Mediterranean cuisine.

It was a night where dinner was not a priority and it turned to be the highlight of the entire day if not the week. We walked into Ostro 30 mins before they took their last order, and the staff was very accommodating. We were greeted by a lovely young lady called Deena who took care of us for the rest of the evening with very thoughtful recommendations from their menu. Ostro is a Mediterranean restaurant which is skewed towards the Greek cuisine. You will find the Greek classics like Tzatziki, Saganaki, Souvlaki etc. and you will also find fattoush, burgers, pizza, and pasta. We stuck to the Greek dishes and we were very pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant isn't licensed as it is located in a dry hotel, the food more than made up for it.
The appetizers were full of flavor, we went for Tzatziki, Empanadas, Gambas and Croquettas and they did not disappoint at all. On to the mains, we had the grilled Octopus, Sea Bass and the Spanakopita and we couldn't decide which of these three was leading in flavor. In my personal opinion, this is the best Spanakopita I have had outside of Greece.
With the food tasting this good, we couldn't leave without sampling the dessert. 3 words: Chocolate Basil Bomb - and thank me later.

And this is how I discovered Ostro

This beetroot Salad is to die for 😋... 3 kinds of beetroots: roasted, baked and fresh served all together with micro green leaves, pickled shallots, crumbled goat cheese and capers. Drizzled with honey thyme vinaigrette ❤️ soooo creative, refreshing and DELICIOUS!!! Betteraves Roties is one of many elegant dishes at @oussamatannous you must try! I can easily give this piece of art 10/10 👌🏼
A beautifully design rustic yet welcoming space. A lot of light and homey feeling. The service team is so friendly and accommodating. Their food is Mediterranean with a nice twist. Highly recommended
Everything we ordered - EVERYTHING - was excellent. Ostro Dubai has REALLY good, comforting Mediterranean food. Its a must try.
Only much later did we realise that everything we had ordered was also vegetarian. Of course, Ostro has non-veggie options, but we absolutely didn't even miss it during our lunch there.

Ostro only opened in November 2016 and right now it's Tecom/Barsha Heights' best kept secret! It's only a matter of time before it becomes very busy as it has so much going for it. My husband and I have been twice for dinner so far and we will be back. After trying many different local eateries, Ostro is easily the best restaurant in the area.
To start with, it looks gorgeous. The decor is lovely and contemporary (straight out of Pinterest) and no expense has been spared.
Attention to detail is this restaurant's signature, not only in the interior styling, but also in the service and food. The waiters have been bubbly, friendly and attentive both times we've visited. The manager also came out to check on us and have a chat the last time we were there.
The food is great. Your breadbasket of artisanal sourdough is paired with olive oil and a delicious olive tapenade. On the menu is a diverse range of modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes as well as burgers. There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from as well, that are not just your usual unimaginative bog standards.
The meals will surprise you in a very good way. I had a beetroot and goats cheese salad last time for my starter - the flavours were great, it was well presented, and it contained lots of different textures to keep it interesting. We've also had the ajo asado, haloumi, spanikopita, spinaci pizza, eggplant fattah topped with pomegranate seeds, and quinoa and chickpea burger with sweet potato fries there and they all exceeded our expectations.
Whatever you do, you must not skip dessert here. Try the Chocolate Basil Bomb - you will not forget it in a hurry! This is the kind of dessert you'd expect to see in a hatted restaurant. The other desserts have to compete with this showstopper and the Revani (semolina cake with fresh berries and salted caramel icecream) I had did manage to stand up to the challenge, which is impressive!
I also remember having a great juice there with berries in it but can't find the name on the menu unfortunately. But it actually tasted nicely like fruit instead of sugar, unlike the juices you typically get at restaurants.
10 out of 10 would recommend. Great for couples, date nights, first dates, birthdays, girls lunch, big groups, spoiling your visitors, special occasions, meetup groups - anyone and everyone really. Plus it's easily accessible from Dubai Internet City metro.

Ostro restaurant is a Mediterranean restaurant. With a classy décor, big glass windows, morning sunshine coming through the windows leaves you mesmerize as you walk in for the breakfast. You will have some stylish options to choose from when deciding where to sit. Their outdoor & indoor setting is equally interesting and elegant. Soft color scheme inside the restaurant makes you sit for hours , whereas wooden setting & plantation outside is also attractive. They have a good variety of dishes in their breakfast items.

The restaurant has been designed beautifully, almost exuding a similar vibe to La Serre - however, their biggest downside is that its a dry outlet. Otherwise, would definitely constitute as the first date night spot in the area, considering their al fresco dining option as well.
The first time I visited was probably the third day since it opened, but we were greeted with impeccable service, which continued for the entire meal.
We got the Eggplant Fatteh (I had requested to replace the rice with quinoa and it was done with no fuss), the Arrabiata Pasta, the Ostro Burger and one of the Chicken Paninis. Although slightly overpriced, given the lack of the alcohol license, we had no complains about the food.
The second time I visited, I ordered the Chicken Gyro, but requested it as a salad. The chef made an appearance and asked me if I was allergic to gluten and suggested I opt for the gluten-free pita instead. That additional concern for the customer was unexpected and left us impressed. I went for the salad option anyway and have to point out that the chicken was extremely tender, and was served quite a generous portion too.
I would ideally want to go back to try out the rest of their vast menu, especially the desserts!

I had a lovely experience visiting Ostro twice times, and let me begin with that I will be going back again very soon. Staff are very polte and friendly, the food variety is wonderful, that taste of everything was just beyond yumm 🤩 The iftar as well as the dinner buffet (in non ramadan days) are reasonably priced and the food choices are fantastic. It has a wonderful terrace also were you can enjoy your after your meal coffee, tea or even shisha. Worth the visit!

Visited this place for the first time and got in love with cozy ambiance and great service. It’s a hidden gem in Tecom. The interior so classy indoor and if you wanna smoke shisha there’s stunning outdoor area too. Btw the shisha is so good and very flavorful. They have different varieties in flavors with very affordable prices. And when it comes to food, it was very fresh and tasty. We had Zesty Salmon Salad and Mixed Arabic Grill, the taste was wonderful. Great place to chill out with friends or family or date. Highly recommended!
