Amazing place..
Had researched a lot about this place, wanted to visit it and really got attracted to the live music. But unfortunately we arrived at the restaurant on the day when silence had to be observed when music could not be played. The entire restaurant was empty. But there was a vibe a positive vibe and also it's a great place for family dinners and they've got amazing starters.
A place that celebrates the soul of Bombay and the Spirit of Mumbai. Bollywood inspired interiors add a nice touch. The band here is the best I have come across in any restaurant that offers live entertainment. Kudos to them for making our birthday celebration even better. The food is good and well priced especially the mains. Was let down by the cutting chai as it clearly wasn't what it's supposed to be. Their version of tawa pulao was also bit different. But other than that, we enjoyed the food and mocktails/juices thoroughly. Recommended!

The food was yummy and they had ice cold bira 🍻. The service provided was excellent. However I found the food a little over priced though! A good hang out spot especially in the evening as they have a live band.
Very friendly staff... great service... need to add the correct twist in the food.. food is good can be better.. fresh herb Mutton was bit too chewy. Biryani was good. Chicken pieces in the curry was bit hard..I may go back again to enjoy few drinks and the friendly staff... and the live band was also amazing... had a great time listing to 90’s and 20’s songs.. recommend to people who wants to enjoy simple.. sober dining..
We had kept our party with 35 guests and we are happy to share our experiences. Table arrangements was done properly, pre decided menu Vegetarian food was excellent, staff was courteous, specially Mr Francis and lastly everyone enjoyed live bend with Salman and Bhavana.

I recommend visiting this themed restaurant for a truly mumbaikr experience. Desi food lovers will enjoy the place. Their chaat corner is to die for. Sea food is yummy and at an economical price. Chai is too good.

Tried this place today and loved the decor and the food. The
Interiors are done well and is very vibrant.
We ordered Dal Makhani and Murgh Musallam and both tasted really good and fresh.
The service was good too. Our servers was very friendly and suggested good options. The food took about 20 minutes to come but we didn’t mind the time since it tasted so fresh and good.
For dessert, we tried phirni which was quite good as well. We enjoyed the overall experience..
First time visit to this place and it’s fabulous I must say . The ambience is decent and live band plays some old retro songs to keep the mood going . The food & drinks were reasonably priced and they were just yummy . From the starters to the main course and the desserts, the presentation , quantity and quality of food has been upto the mark . The service has been quick and smooth

Located in Muteena, I am yet to explore this side of Deira for cafes and restaurants but visited this cafe recently for dinner.
If you love Indian food, this cafe is just great. At reasonae prices, they service some really delicious starters, mains and desserts.
With inclusion of alcohol, your weekend or even a celebration would be great.

Bombay to Mumbai café is an eatery which not only promises good food to its audience, but also offers a beautiful ambiance, live entertainment and a delightful service. Uplifting your mood with their positive vibes, you’ll truly enjoy your dining experience with them. I was invited here for a tasting session by Mr. Navin.
The ambiance is spacious, with tables and chairs neatly set out. As you enter, you’ll notice a bar on your left, and a pani puri counter on your right. Their servers were very polite, courteous, jolly and friendly.
We were served the following:
Orange juice and pineapple juice: freshly squeezed, these juices were sweet and refreshing, and the respective flavours were lovely.
Desi cheese rolls: served on a platter, these were very delicious. Crispy, outer, golden – brown layer, with a filling of cheese, were tender on the inside, and featured a smooth texture. These were flavourful, subtly tangy and yummy. Definitely a must try!
Pouktuni murgh kebab: aromatic and delectable, these boneless chunks of succulent chicken were topped with cheese. Flavourful and mildly spicy, I relished these till the last bite.
Mutton sheekh kebabs: minced lamb, tossed with sufficient spices, given a shape of thick, appetizing and adequately soft kebabs, were juicy, full of flavours and mildly spicy.
Subz ki bahar: sufficiently soft mixed vegetables tossed in moderate spices were flavourful and mildly spicy.
Butter chicken: soft pieces of chicken were well – cooked with their orange gravy, which was just right in consistency and had a smooth texture. It was perfectly made with satisfactory amount of spices and essential condiments, and was flavoursome and mildly spicy. Not at all sweet!
Dal tadka: their reasonably mashed dal gave me a homely feeling. Just the right consistency, adequate spices, flavourful and toothsome. This dish went very well the rice served.
Rice: long grain rice were freshly prepared and tasty.
Rotis: the rotis were fresh, served warm, and were soft and crispy.
Pani puri: the presentation was amazing. The spheres of the puri were crunchy, with a filling of chana. The green pani was subtly spicy and tasty. A blend of zesty and spicy, we loved this dish to bits. We were also served sukha puri on the side.
Gajar ka halwa: warm gajar ka halwa, served with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream on top. The gajar ka halwa was absolutely scrumptious. It was fairly sweet, lavish and so perfectly made, its enchanting flavours touched the palate with love. Undoubtedly a must try!
Gulab jamun: soft spheres of gulab jamun were soft and rich.
Roasted, crunchy papad with green chutney.
Thank you Bombay to Mumbai Café team for hosting us. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu.

An excellent dining experience with a superb personalised service, coupled with a soothing ambience and wall arts and finally the beautiful soul stirring musical performances by two extremely talented singers.
We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant providing such a high degree of culinary skills.
This restaurant has been relaunched and rebranded from the erstwhile The Bombay restaurant at the same premises. They are attempting to combine the street foods of mumbai to the lavish items of Bombay.
•The very talented chef- Mr. Madan, came to our table and alongwith Mr. Francis, explained the finer intricacies of the new menu. Mr. Francis has been a master of marshalling the service staffs to provide a great dining experience.
•The walls are having many humorous and canny posters with catchy taglines. There are different seating arrangements with very comfortable and colorful wooden and soft chairs and even high tables and also the bar stools.
On one end is a stage with 3 musicians , the singers were very tuneful and enthralled us with nice renderings of popular ghazals, which we really appreciate. They also played songs on demand though their forte is fusion songs.
We opted for the suggestions from Mr. Francis for the orders and we were not mistaken.

6. Chicken tikka. 5/5. Done deliciously. Boneless chunks, grilled to perfection.
7. Veg shikhampuri kabab. 5/5. 4 pieces of Cheese and vegetables, green peas patty.
8. •Mutton kalonji kabab. 5/5. Mutton minced in long tubular kababs. Beautiful plating with baby carrots. Juicy and succulent.
Mains-
9. Sabz ka bahar/Mixed vegetables. 4/5. Decent. Fresh.
10. Dal tadka. 4.5/5. Yellow. Very well done with streaks of ghee on top.
11. Roganjosh in bhuna style. 4.5/5. Tasty.

Desserts-
14. •Gazarella truffle-5/5. Classic Indian dish of warm carrot halwa made with some khoya and presented with a vanilla ice cream scoop on top. Exquisitely done. Loved it. Another great plating.
15. Cutting chai from Mumbai. 5/5. Served in the true style of a street vendor from Mumbai, in a wire frame. Blueish glasses give a contrast with the brown tea. Great finale.
Finally the face towel is a nice show off, it's in a small compressed tablet form which becomes a full towel after you put some water on it.
•A special mention to be made of the use of fresh Indian mutton, without any thick smells- which I find here in Dubai. Hugely appreciated.
Overall, a greatly satisfactory outing for dining. Suitable for all types of diners-Singles for the drink at the bar in one side, Couples for a romantic dinner, And also a boisterous family for a weekly dine-out.
It's a pity that it's not so well known yet, which it should be. Rare to find such an all round great epicurean enjoyment at such a value for money budget.

We were a group of 16 ladies who went for iftar yesterday. We had an amazing time. Francis, Alwinder and other staff members were a great help. They served everything within no time on the table and with a great smile on their face. The buffet had a good spread and we enjoyed our time because of amazing frndly staff out thr. 3 cheers for them!!
The service given at this restaurant was just fantabulous. Amazing service given my Mr. Francis and his team. They actually made us very very comfortable at the restaurant. Being courteous can actually be learned from mr. francis and his team.
Now the food part, i wld give 4 out of 5. Food was nice, though i wont say it was lip smacking delicious, but yes there was scope for them to improve. Again to the service part, Mr. Francis made sure the food was served hot at our table(we went for buffet). They should have more varieties on veg main course, as veg was limited. Though we ordered for one extra veg curry apart from buffet. Polite and extremely friendly staff. Valet parking is free for this restaurant customers.

Heard about them from a friend. Occasion was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Being the holy month of Ramadan, opted for the Iftar dinner at Bombay to Mumbai Cafe, Marco Polo Hotel, Al Muteena, Dubai.
At the outset, the ambience of the restaurant is worth a mention. The paintings on the wall takes one back to Mumbai days, chod aaye hum wo galiyaan. The restaurant is lit enough, but can work on the lighting to make the experience even better.
Lets now come to the food. The Iftar spread was too much and there are enough options for the Vegetarians like us to indulge. The starters, the salad choices & the main course were good.
The desserts again were aptly chosen and placed to ensure they enhance the experience. One of the best fine dining experience in the last year or so.
Francis of Bombay to Mumbai Cafe (when I told him was my wife’s birthday), surprised my wife with a cake with sparkling candle & made it extra special for us. Such personal touches and tender moments enrich the foodie in us to carry the taste of the food and the memories longer.

I had tried out their iftar since I had heard before that it has a wide variety of food and I have to say for the piece the food was definitely worth it we had tried many items such as sev puri , dahi puri , pani puri , the kababs and they also added a Arabic counter as well for those trying out Arabic delecacy The staff service was extremely brilliant and treated us well and made sure we always kept eating.
Great food, no fuss. Amazing service. Friendly staff. Simple and classy ambience. In short, good experience.
At length, we tried their iftar buffet that had thai green curry, grilled fish in lemon butter, dum biryani and a lot more. Loved their Sunday kabab. A must try.

We went there last Friday night at 7 45 pm. When we walked in the place looked a bit empty with no families around and we were a bit skeptical to stay around. But the waiter was too good and he convinced us to stay. By 8 pm the place was already alive and filled with many families. The food was good too and they have 2+2 on drinks if you use Zomato gold. But even otherwise they have happy hours upto 8 pm.
They also have a band playing hindi songs on your request. We requested a lot of old hindi classics and the evening turned out to be all nostalgic and lovely with food music and drinks.

This is one of the best places if you want to get the right amount of nostalgia for the eateries in India. 😻 The dishes are authentic and real to their taste. It’s great if you like to enjoy some good music (there is an area for performances) and indulge in really delicious food. 😋

Now open in a 4-star frame of the Marco Polo Hotel, located in Deira, provides a lounge, bar and dining experience for all the Mumbai foodies.
The cuisine here aims to give you a nostalgic feel with the food they serve. They guarantee to take to the streets of Mumbai, where we all loved eating from the tandoors, tapas & main, desserts & of course the drinks (Don't forget the Gollas we had. Oh the days were pure bliss).
Along with the taste & experience they strive for wellness as well. Their dishes are prepared with the freshest of produce also less if not completely abandoned of oil.
When I was a kid and the streets of Mumbai offered some amazing flavours of Golas (Ice popsicle topped with flavoured syrups), all I did was have them everywhere I went. that was then and after coming to Dubai, this was my first experience of having these divine ice lollies. We had some amaze Kala Khatta Gola (which is always a treat), Rose milkmaid Gola, this was the first time I had Gola with milk syrup. It was surely very different and refreshing.
But the winner would surely be the Banarasi Paan Gola. Giving that sweet characteristic to the drink. I would definitely love to have it again. You can have these with and without alcohol.
They serve some very different dishes, though different the combinations seem to be fabulous. For starters had some amazing Paneer Nana-keesh, delectable paneer with chutney and vegetables, the dish is truly great. Also had some BMC samosas, mini triangles filled with mixed veggies.
For the Main course had some creamy palak paneer and my all time fav daal makhani.
When the food is this good, the desserts have to be the best. Tried some of their creative recipes - Gajarela Truffles. These are basically gajar ka halwa truffles in a saffron-infused coconut & milk chocolate balls.
They were super awesome, with the hard chocolate texture hiding the soft gajar ha halwa, both together was a masterpiece. They should definitely be tried at least once by everyone.
If you want to experience the true Mumbaikar culture with a modern twist to it, with a massively great taste and luxury, this place is a definite must.

A scrumptious combination of chaat and assorted starters and a distinct variety of drinks, both alcoholic & non-alcoholic, with some spot-on Indian dishes!
The Caribbean-inspired BMC Sunrise (AED 29) was an eccentric drink containing pineapple, mango, banana and of course, coconut. The Memshab (AED 48) contained just the right amount of white rum, fused with strawberry, lemon and mint.
The Dahi Puri (AED 22) and the Papdi Chaat (AED 22) tasted great and came in fair proportions. The unique mannerism in which the signature chaat dish, BMC Special Pani Puri (AED 30), was served in shot glasses, thoroughly impressed us.
The Chicken Tikka Nana-Keesh (AED 40) was an interesting fusion of the Arabic manakeesh, Italian pizza and the Indian naan, cooked with the right amount of cheddar cheese and mayonnaise topped onto boneless chicken pieces. The Mutton Kolonji Sheekh Kebab (AED 55) was a juicy yet sturdy kebabs dish served with mint dip. The Baigan Bruschetta (AED 32) was yet another amusing combination of the Italian Bruschetta and Indian spiced eggplant. The Paneer Acahari Tikka (AED 36) was delicious tikka flavored extravagantly juicy cottage cheese.
As for our show snatchers, we were served masaaledaar Chicken Biryani (AED 45), whose juicy chicken pieces didn’t fail to satisfy. The Mutton Kholapuri (AED 55), Paneer Makhanwala (AED 40) and Dal Makhani (AED 42) were all just as delicious as they could be and were served in fair portions.
All the dishes were presented with elegance and were served with smiling faces. Our taste buds tell us that this place is worth a visit despite most menu items being more towards the expensive side.

So went to this place after a long time! It has got a complete makeover now. Its Located at MarcoPolo Hotel.
We tried veg options this time. We had ordered the Paneer Tikka Naan Keesh and Veg Mix grill for starters. Both tasted good but it was not that spicy though. Also the Mix grill had Coated Green Apples in it which i had tried for the first time.
For main course, we had ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani along with Naan Basket. Paneer gravy was very good and cooked properly. Dal was really good and my personal favourite.
Also this place has live entertainment area with a band performing but sadly we went on their off day. Service is very good and the waiters are friendly. Price is little bit on the higher side.
The restaurant highlights about the mumbai lifestyle and the atmosphere is very good.
Would definitely love to visit next time and try out their other dishes!

Last Friday, I'd been to Bombay to Mumbai Cafe with my family for lunch. It was called the Bombay Restaurant before the revamp and we had already been there twice at that time. Anyways after the changes in the interior and the menu, it was our first time.
For starters, we ordered the paneer achari tikka, grilled fish hamour, chicken nanakish and malai boti kabab. The highlight was the chicken nanakish. which was just amazing!! It is similar to chicken pizza but trust me just cheesier and better😍. The paneer tikka and hamour were also really good but the chicken malai boti kabab wasn't as juicy and succulent as it should have been. Hence, we asked them to take it back and make it well done. In drinks, we ordered bmc sunrise, gingre sombre and fresh apple juice and man it was love at first sight with the bmc sunrise!
The main course basically was an assortment of naans and parathas, butter chicken and rogan gosht. I would definitely recommend the butter chicken as it was truly the best butter chicken I've had.
Does any meal seem satisfactory without desserts? We ordered the falooda, gulab jamun and gajerella truffle to satisfy our sweet tooth. The star of the sweet section was the gajerella truffle which are actually small dumplings of gajar halwa frosted with white chocolate and coconut.
I would love to give a huge shoutout to our server Depoo Singh who patiently explained the different dishes on their menu and took our orders and Mona who was an absolute delight to talk to and she also took care that we absolutely love our dining experience.
Although we missed the live music that happens every weekend evenings as we went there for lunch, the good food in our tummies definitely made up for it!

This place is good to go with your Family, they have live music everyday. They offer Indian food with Chaats & Golas as well. I tried their signature Paneer Tikka Naankish, Baingan Bharta Bruschetta and Chicken Pav Sliders for starters which were so good & flavourful, the Naankish was my favorite! For drinks we had their signature cocktail Show Sha which was Kiwi & fennel seeds flavored. For mains we ordered the Mushroom Salt & Pepper & honestly I feel they put a lot of salt & the mushrooms were not juicy 🙈

The restaurant has recently been relaunched with a new chef and menu. I find it a hybrid between casual dining and fine dining. None the less you find yourself feeling at home. Certainly a place for a family meal especially if it is to celebrate a special occasion. The staff is extremely friendly to make it even more special for you. The live band was the highlight; singing popular Bollywood songs. Nurai accompanied us to the restaurant and enjoyed the music a lot. I loved the paintings on one side of the restaurant.

Primary focus is North Indian cuisine but the chef is happy to accommodate special requests of the guests. I am a sucker for chaat and pani puri and their live chaat counter was a real delight. I didn’t find myself sitting and having a meal at a hotel. Really enjoyed the Dahi Batata Puri, Sev Puri and Pani Puri. Unique starters like Paneer Tikka Nanakesh and Baigan Bruschetta were interesting bites to have. If made well Gajar Halwa is probably my most favorite desi dessert; Gajarola Truffles I really enjoyed to end my meal.

I found the masala tea a little too sweet for my taste but overall the food and ambiance are great. Since it's in a hotel access wise it's very smooth with free valet and the perks.

I held my kitty party - a lunch affair - in this restaurant. Mr. Prashant was the coordinator. All my friends were very happy with the service of the restaurant staff and the with the quality of the food. The portions were more than filling. Thanks to Mr Prashant and his team for creating some memorable moments for us.
I freaking love this place! Food is good and drinks are just amazing. Its my favourite place to drink, the ambience is comfortable.
Friendly staff but unfortunately some staff are not fully informed of the menu and offers in the restaurant.
My recommendation is to change the name to Mumbai to Bombay cafe, as the dinner started with a contemporary dish and then taken us course by course in to the nostalgia. It reminded us of the gallis of Bombay and even the journey from Goa to Bombay. Brilliant work.

Live Indian music & delicious food , what more to ask. We started our meal with a paneer tikka manakish , dahi patata puri , shabnum ki moti(mushrooms) & paani puri . A bite from the paneer tikaa manakish made me go like WOW. Me being someone who loves Arabic mankish fell in love with the paneer tikaa maakish as its a winning fusion combo. The dahi pata puri & paani puri were delicious as well. The shabnum ki moti didnt cut it for me as I am not a fan of mushrooms.
The main courses we had were the chicken malai boti, chicken tikka boti & chicken biryani . Out of the three my favorite was the chicken maali boti. The chicken is soft & tender plus the marionation of the malai boti is on point plus it had hints of saffron.
For desserts I ordered a gajrella truffle which is gajar hawalws balls covered with white chocolate. Simply yum!

Bombay to Mumbai is a great place for a large group of friends. Fun ambience with live music that we enjoyed giving the band requests. The place is licensed so the drinks and cocktails are awesome. What was outstanding was the kebabs that were done so well. I enjoyed the Kaloonji Seekh Kebabs that were the best I’ve tasted. 😋😋😋

Critic – The Mutton kalonji seekh kebab was carefully prepared with an amazing blend of species and kalonji (Onion seeds). The moment you pick up the piece you get tempted with the aroma. It was accompanied with mint chutney which helped to tone down the spiciness flavour. Nan Kai was a type of Naan being topped with capsicum, tomato, paneer and some sauce was also there to enhance the taste. Murgh Malai Kabab is a synonymous dish which translates to creamy chicken kebab mostly inspired by Persian cuisine with a bit of Indian twist because of the use of aromatic spices. Chicken Biryani was fantastic, the rice was properly cooked and it also had an amazing aroma. The chicken meat was succulent and tender as it got well cooked with the biryani masala. For desserts, the chef had served Gajarale truffle which was one of their signature sweets being a fusion between Belgium chocolate and Indian sweet. Here the Indian sweet was the carrot halwa being coated with the white chocolates.
Final Verdict - An amazing restaurant to try out fusion dishes mostly inspired by Indian heritage. Highly recommend visiting with family.

I recently chose this destination for celebrating my mom's birthday with family and few friends. The reasons why it appealed to me was for their selection of desi food, functional bar and most importantly a live band. This trio was the winning combination that appealed greatly to everyone present.
The staff here is very courteous and attentive. The manager and our server Ram made special effort to make our evening most enjoyable. Best part yet is the fact that the restaurant is open 24x7. I was really surprised to find this out! That's such a wonderful news :)

~ STARTERS - For starters we had the PANI PURI which are the suji ones served with meetha paani. You can also request for spicy water if you'd like. Next we had the TANDOORI JACKET POTATO and PANEER/CHICKEN TIKKA NAAN KEESH. They were good preparations but did not wow us.
We also had the MUTTON KALONJI SEEKH KEBAB that was absolutely delicious. You must try this one! Also the PALAK KURKURE was a crunchy treat.
~ MAIN COURSE - We had the DAL TADKA alongwith VEGETABLE PULAO and MUSHROOM SALT N PEPPER. The dishes were prepared well and everyone quite enjoyed the mushrooms.
My favourites were the KEEMA PAO and MUTTON SUKKA COASTAL STYLE. They were simply packed with flavour and I loved the blend of spices. Must try these!
~ DESSERT - We already had a huge birthday cake with us so didn't have a lot of space for desserts. We tried the GAJRELA TRUFFLE which was an interesting one and CHOCOLATE SAMOSA that seemed more loved by everyone.

Been seeing this restaurant on my Instagram feed for sometime now, so we decided to give it a try.
My husband and I were recently in India for the first time, and the food in Mumbai was amazing... so we have set the bar high when we try Indian food in Dubai.
Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We unfortunately can't have very spicy food, and so we asked her to tell the Chef to offer us the best non-spicy dishes he has.
We started off with some shot style Pani Poori, which I have never seen or tried before. The combination of liquid and crunchy poori was wonderful. I would however recommend the Potato Poori as it is filled with flavors and has a sweet hint to it as well, also the yogurt helps with the spiciness.
On to more meaty and savory items, we had the Chicken Tikka Manakeesh, this was one of my favorite dishes. The melted cheese with chicken tikka is on a naan type of bread which is heavenly.
We had to also try some Tandoor, but our options were a bit limited since most of the Tandoor dishes are spicy, but the Chef brought out some Chicken Tandoor, which was marinated in yogurt and had some nuts in it as well. The chicken was very tender and juicy, oozing with some sort of saffron flavors. The Chef also brought out some minced chicken dish which was stuffed with some sort of cheese. This was also very good.
Off course we had to try the Mutton Biryani and Butter Chicken. If you know anything about me, you'll know I am obsessed with Butter Chicken.
The Mutton Biryani was cooked with caramelized onions, which gave the dish a nice kick. The Mutton itself was very tender... it melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend this Biryani.
My beloved Butter Chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce was thick and hearty. I loved every bite of it.
We went to Bombay to Mumbai to celebrate a birthday. The place is informal and cozy. The interiors are soothing and comfortable. The manager, Mr. Farhid, and the gentleman incharge of our table Mr Ram were very attentive and helpful. They were polite and warm and went out of their way to make our experience better and better. The band adds life to the setting, and is open to talking requests. They create a wonderful ambience. The menu has extensive veg and non veg options and the flavours are perfect. The dessert menu will leave you feeling happy. The cocktail and drinks menu is large, and the bartender will make you a drink even if its not on the menu. All in all I highly recommend it. Its a must visit.
Heard a lot about this place. The restaurant was packed when we got there. Seems to be quite a popular spot. They also had a live band playing which seemed to be well received by the guests dining at the restaurant. The place tends to be a bit on the noisier side.
The food is basically Indian, with a spin. Everything we tried was very good, great pricing and quick service. They even had a “buy two get four” deal on hops.
Will definitely come back.

I recently visited the restaurant and was not really sure what to expect. Located in the old part of the city, you can pay on the side of the hotel or in a paid parking.
On entering, we were greeted warmly and the menus were shared. Since I dont like too much heavy food, I mostly opted for the Tapas, which included shot style Pani Poori (yum), potato stuff poori (also yum), malai chicken tikka, Naan Keesh ( a play on Manakeesh). For Mains we had the Palak Paneer (the paneer is made in in house!) which was served with the most AMAZING naan. I would go back just for the naan. We also had some mutton biryani, which though was slightly more oily than I am used to but was very flavoursome. We had a Sunrise Blend and a ginger based drink which were both very good
The service was great and very prompt. We ended the meal with a Falooda which we found different from the pakistani version, as it was only ice cream with lots and lots of fruit; found it to be refreshing

Nice ambience ... live music was on which was good for entertainment.. food was good excellent taste ... the only turn off was the quantity ... for starters ordered a platter of mix grill but the portion was just for about 1 person to eat and a big baked potato to compensate on the meat. we also had mutton dish which was finger licking good but quantity was small. The management needs to definitely look into the portion being served or else the food is bang on

Recently I have been to an Indian restaurant by the name Bombay to Mumbai. This place is tucked away in Marco Polo Hotel in Al Muteena area. The place has simple interiors with art pieces inspired from Mumbai which totally emits authentic vibes of Mumbai culture.

We went for lunch on Friday so it was relatively empty. Probably a good idea to visit at dinner to experience the real ambiance. I loved all of the quirky drawings on the wall. On to the menu now. We tried the mocktails - Sunrise and BMC, I preferred the BMC with a hint of coconut as the Sunrise had an overpowering taste. For starters we tried the Paneer Tikka Nana-kesh which was filled with delish flavors but the bread was a tad too soft given the amount of toppings it needed to hold. For main, we tried the Stuffed Shimla Mirch and Paneer Makhani Biryani. The gravy was brilliant and different than the usual onion-tomato ones you would try. The biryani was also incredibly flavorful with whole spices blended right into the rice. For dessert we tried the Gajar Halwa truffles - this was a miss. I found it a tad too sweet and it just lacked the punch that I look for to finish off a meal with a BANG. However, I liked the fact that there were a fair few gravies to choose from for vegetarians but not as many starters. Priced quite reasonably for a place that also serves drinks. The service was the highlight though. We were served by Ram who had a wonderful smile the whole time and graciously offered to give us a free main since they made a mistake while taking the order. Overall verdict - go for the food, stay for the ambiance.

Located at Marco Polo hotel, in Al muteena, Bombay to Mumbai cafe is a piece of Mumbai in Dubai, with it's typical retro feel and funk, all the way from decor to the way the food is named in the menu.
We began with dahi puri- this was really yummy, as opposed to having hard fried Puris , the dahi and Puri with the additives mixed well together to create a warm melting taste of Chaat.
The Pani Puri arrangement was interesting, as it was placed on top of shot glasses with the masala Pani inside the shot glass- and the taste held up to The quirky presentation.
We opted for bhel Puri as well, though it paled in comparison to the Pani Puri and dahi puri, in terms of taste.
The starters began with BMC chicken Tikka, which was a visual treat and a tasty delight, even after we spent quite a while clicking pictures. The kebabs were moist and well marinated, with oozing centre. Recommended!
Mutton kalonji seek kebab was well presented and held it's own when it came to moisture and taste and was equal to the chicken kebab.
The paneer tikka nanakeesh was an interesting combination, and was very filling as well as delicious, the chef's creativity was pretty evident on this one- the naan remained soft after a while- extra points for this.
Just as we were getting full with the starters itself, the mains came in- mutton biriyani- this was an absolute win! One of the better Bombay style biriyani we have tasted- highly recommended!
We also had chicken tikka masala with naan and Dal tadka which was fresh and wholesome.
We ended on a sweet note with a creative dessert - chocolate samosa - which lived up to it's visual presentation, and had us fully satisfied!
There is ample seating , and a live music area- unfortunately we were there during early evening and the band wasn't playing.
The separate bar and the Bombay style chat section added to the Mumbai vibe. The logo of the restaurant is creative a throwback to the local trains, best bus logo and Mumbai in general.
The staff were very attentive and courteous!
They offer zomato gold 1+1 on food as well!
TL dr: if you want some yummy chaats , awesome Mumbai style starters and want to feel like you're in a laid back corner of aamchi Mumbai, this is the place to visit.
A star nestled in the old streets of Deira.. a very neat place & awesome music.. thanks to @soul strings. The food is decent with not too many options from the veg world.. but the non veg was good. Very friendly staff..Especially Mgr Farid.. we chatted like lost souls in Dubai.. would have been great had there been good footfalls.. only 1 table apart from us is a sad stroy for this good place.. Get your social network to work guys..

Went for lunch with my friend at this place at Marco polo. pleasantly amazed by quirky wall decor at this place. the place was quite empty considering it as late lunch time. for drinks we i got passion fruit drink which was both visually pleasing as well has perfect for quenching summer thirst. for starters
Nankish: perfect combination of desi fusion with arabic with ticken tikka and paneer load with cheese, loved this one
kalongi seekh kabab: juicy and full of falvour
murg malai: not a big fan of malai kababin general.
Mains:
Biryani: perfect north indian biryani with long grain basmati served in pot. chiken was tender and biryani was good.
daal makhni: i love a good daal
makhi it was great loved it
mix vegetables: loved this also was a little spicy for my taste.

It was a great experience being in this restaurant. Me and my partner were surprised when we enter, it’s a medium sized fine dining restaurant with a live entertainment. The band is great, and singing Indian songs which is so lively. We started with some appetizers, which is so delicious! We love the chaat and the Paneer Tikka Nana Keesh! The portions of the food is good and prices were very reasonable. We had Butter Chicken and Kolhapuri Mutton Curry which is full of flavor! Indeed, they have the best Butter Chicken! Their desserts are also sumptuous, the Gajarela Truffles and Ras Malai are the best! The servers were accommodating and friendly.
And before I forgot, they also serve alcohol and their prices were really amazing. You can get 4 beers plus a food platter but only pay for the price of 2 beers! A deal we all needed! 😉
We prefer to drink their mocktails though as we promised to have alcohol free dinner that night, and I will recommend their BMC sunrise!
It was really a great dinner and will surely recommend this place to my friends!

Bombay to Mumbai café is located on the first level of Marco Polo Hotel. The Hotel in itself has an old world charm, and the same can be seen with the restaurant too.
The moment you enter, you cannot miss the painting, all of them resemble the core of Bombay. If you have lived in the city, you definitely will be able to resonate with the vibes. From the BEST bus to the dhobi to the vibrant ganpati painting. It was just beautiful.
You have a chat corner near the entrance which is open until 8:00 p.m and a fully equipped bar on the opposite end. The remaining area is for dining and for a live band. They have a live band that churns out Hindi music, and you can also request for your choice of songs (yay)
We started off with Banarasi paan chuski (with alcohol). The problem with being a Blogger is that you end up spending more time trying to get that perfect shot and end up cold food, or in this case, melted chuski. But nevertheless, I totally love d the concept of having a Banaarsi paan gola and moreso with alcohol. It’s a sure shot winning combination. T was served with Pistachio toppings.
My friend opted for Lemon mint muddle which was very refreshing and perfect for the hot weather.
We started off with pani puri and dahi puri (I have a weakness for chaat). I loved how pani puri was served. The tangy and sweet water was served in shot glasses with the puri on top filled with moong dal and black chana. I devoured every single puri and was glad they kept a masala puri in the centre . Dahi puri was a feast in itself. It was just perfect.
For the starters we tried Paneer tikka nana keesh, Mutton kalonji seekh kebab, BMC chicken tikka, and Shabnam ki moti.
Of the lot my favorite were the Shabnam ki moti and BMC chicken tikka. Shabnam ki moti is aptly named, you bite into crispy fried shells holding luscious gooey mushroom center which just bursts in your mouth and makes your mouth salivate. BMC chicken tikka was succulent with the right amount of spices.
What I loved about paneer tikka nanakeesh was the novel concept of naan as a pizza base. I’m not a pizza person, and hence didn’t enjoy this much. However, the toppings on its own is delish.
We swiftly moved onto mains post a cosmopolitan and ordered for Chicken tikka masala, Jhangli mix veg, biryani rice and roti with a side of raita. The chicken tikka masala was all things desi. From the right amount of spice to the thick creamy gravy and the succulent chicken. It pleased my desi palate.
Jhangli mix veg was a vibrant platter of bell pepper and paneer. And it looked every bit Jhangli and tasted really good. I love bell peppers, so this was something I devoured.
For dessert we had the Gajarela truffles. Gajar Halwa was cleverly concealed in a white chocolate mould. It wasn’t my favorite as I love piping hot gajar ka halwa on its own. But my friend loved it and she gorged on them all.
The staff is extremely warm and helpful, and ensured we were comfortable throughout our dinner.
The staff, ambiance, amazing food combined with live hindi music makes this place a must visit. If you are from Bombay, you will definitely resonate with the restaurant. If not, enjoy a bit of Bombay in Dubai

It has opened its doors just a few months back… in the Marco Polo Hotel, Deira. The moment you enter the restaurant you get that strong vibes of mumbai. We had visited this place last week, the hotel has been one of our popular hang out place for over 15 years. but gradually things have changed, which has brought new life to this land mark hotel. Bombay to Mumbai Cafe is a great place, and essentially as the name beckons its a cross over, the food is fusion and the essence is to bring nostalgia from an era gone by. The place is a wonderful delight and serves some great food with an excellent ambience. The live band is very good and they make the entire experience even better. The dal khichdi (although not on the menu) and kheema rolls is something to try! The kheema pav, vada pav, mini anda pav sliders were all to die for and excellent accompaniments for the drinks!
A value for money option that is a goldmine!! You should definitely try it!!

Coming to food, we had the papadi chaat and dahi puri which reminded me of Bombay, one of the best chaat I’ve had. The Bombay sunrise cocktail was so fresh and different, a must try. For the starters, we had the chicken malai tikka, paneer tikka, chicken tikka and chicken tikka nanakish, all were delicious but my favorite was the malai tikka, it was so tender and it literally melted in the mouth (my 2 year old daughter also loved it). For the main course, they have so many options which looked enticing but we were super full with the starters and just had the butter chicken and yes I judge a restaurant by its butter chicken and I have to give them full marks for it. Will surely go back to try some more main course dishes.
The live band was fantastic and was also playing songs on request. They also have some great deals on alcohol and cocktails. And quite well priced for the kind of service.
The staff was amazing, smiling and helpful even when it got super busy. A special mention to Nilesh & Prashant who took such good care of us.
All in all, I totally recommend this restaurant :)

Being a Dubai kid I have been to a lot of restaurants in the past 21 years but this place gives you a different vibe completely, as soon as you enter you know the rest of the time you spend here is gonna be amazing. After reading the reviews and the rating we decided to give this place a try on my mom's birthday and I am so glad we chose this place. Since we went here on a weekday the place looked a little empty.
For the food we ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Cheese and Garlic Naan and for drinks we ordered a Draught Beer and Lemon Mint Mocktail. Food was great and so were the drinks. The presentation is absolutely beautiful and quantity is good too. The naan was very soft, fresh and tasted great. Their food will definitely satisfy your taste buds.
Since we were here to celebrate a birthday they gave us a complimentary slice of a cake and also sang us a birthday song. The live band has some great music in store. These young singers are so very talented. Enjoyed each and every song they sang. Great food and good music, now who wouldn't like that! The ambiance is simple yet classy. They have some catchy and colorful wall hangings. The place has dim lighting and is enough to accommodate large groups. The service is wonderful and all staff members are very kind. We had a great time here. Thank you for making our special day ever more special.
The only concern was that there was little confusion among the staff members regarding a few things which I think was due to the communication gap. Also I think if they could extend the timings of the live band it would be better. Other than that everything was perfect!
We went to Bombay for the second time in a month as we really enjoyed our first time.
Food was delicious and very well presented. Our waiter Francis was attending to all our requests in a very efficient manner, and always smiling. His advices were excellent. The athmosphere was also very pleasant and the band played nice music. Highly recommended for Indian food lovers!
So last friday was our friends birthday who is vegeterian so to surprise him all our friends decided to eat veg.
Being a hardcore non vegeterian it was difficult to decide what to order in veg. But all the food we have ordered was good.
Also the service given by Mr Francis was fantastic a friendly guy ready to help.
Great food, very good taste, elegant ambience. They also have live music from 8:30 pm onwards. We had Mix Chicken tikka platter, Dahi Puri and Paneer Makhani Biryani. All the food items were of excellent quality. Also the service is attentive and smooth. Nilesh our waiter was very hospitable. Highly recommended.
