Fabulous, Wagyu beef is better than ANY we’ve had in the States! Hats off to this establishment!!! Lincoln was the best waiter!!!!! 4 days in Abu Dhabi and we will eat here twice!!! Truly the best dining experience and the service was spectacular as well!!!!

I visited this restaurant on a buisness trip. The food is excellent and therefore the price is okay. The service is also good and the view to the big mosque is lovely. I will definatly return to that place when I have the chance to do so. Recommended place for good meal and best beaf (I ever had).

We were seated outside which is the best; the view of the grand mosque and the weather this time of the year. The food as expected surpass our expectation. However, the most remarkable is the helpfulness of the staff. They are always attentive, warm and very accommodating. The birthday song in a tribal version was incredible. Thank you team

I had done a reservation of the table through Zomato and when I went there , to my surprise they had a nice table reserved for me with a warm welcome. The staff walked us through all the way to our table upstairs. I absolutely loved it .
Been there for a birthday celebration for a friend, called the restaurant ahead and they made sure to do the arrangements needed. Great ambiance and warm atmosphere. Meat options are great and the food in general, is a hit. Lobster Thermidor was great. Although the restaurant is mainly meat-derived but the other options they have are well prepared.
We went for iftar yesterday and to our surprise, they had a 40% off everything on the menu deal throughout Ramadan!
Once we entered we were greeted by all of the friendly staff and our amazing waiter, KJ. He was very accommodating; it was the best service I’ve had in awhile. The view of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and the water made a great view.
Regarding the food, we were each given a complimentary Ramadan starter with a date, stuffed mushroom, vegetable samosa and laban along with a fresh loaf of chocolate chip bread and butter - my personal favorite. It was all really tasty. For an appetizer, we ordered the calamari which was really crispy and good. For the mains, we ordered cheeseburgers that came with fries and onion rings. Everything tasted amazing and was great quality. The burgers are huge!

Since I am a steak lover my awesome wife decided to invite me to this place for my birthday.
The food quality is very good we had a mixed starter plate after that my wife already full. But me of course I also finished my whole steak including mashed potatoes which were very delicious and peppercorn sauce.
The best thing later they brought dessert and made an African dance and drums show for my birthday.
It was very entertaining , the location ambience and food are very good.
For me it's a little bit pricey but worth it.
We decided t celebrate Hubby's birthday at the Meat Co. It was a lovely evening with good food, ambience and environment.
Food is tasty. Carnivores heaven destination. We have a lovely sea view. Awesome staff led by KJ in souk. He is very helpful.
I ordered FIsh & Chips which is tasty and filling. Inlwas ordered Chicken Burger, Skewer, New York Striploin and they were oh so happy with their choice. They even recommend it to me on my next visit.
They we're so sweet to sing hub a birthday song, Hakuna Matata African way.
We were so happy that my hub even booked another table for the next evening to my inlwas before theire flight back.

Celebrated my birthday here with friends. Outdoor seating is the best. Awesome view. Decor and ambiance is great. The service and food was amazing. And the birthday song they did with the drums is out of this world. Perfect place for a special occasion. Definitely come here to have a steak and don’t miss out on their dessert platter.

I haven’t been to the MeatCo, Souq Al Beri since I moved to Dubai in 2014. So I was very excited when a friend suggested we meet there for lunch while I was in Abu Dhabi recently.
After a warm welcome and promptly being escorted to our table, we were served with a complimentary loaf of freshly baked bread as soon as we sat down. For me the bread basket is a good indication of how the rest of your meal will be and here, after the first bite I knew that my dining experience was going to be a fine one.
For starters my friend and I ordered Risotto Arancini. They were a beautiful golden colour and very crispy. There was a drizzling of what seems to be a Chef’s special sauce (?)and that just took the taste of the Arancinis to another level.
We had as our main the wagu burger and the chicken burger. Both were served with onion rings, and a very nice side salad. The meat patties were succulent and just melted in your mouth.
Although we were full to the gills by the time we finished our burgers we decided to be a bit greedier and just finish of a very satisfying meal with dessert. Both of us settled on the crème brulee (pure bliss)
From the taste of the food to the service and the ambiance of the place, it’s all still impeccable. Congratulations to the Management and staff for maintaining your standards.
I tried Meat and Co for the first time yesterday, and i really enjoyed the experience. The outdoor seating is really refreshing, you can enjoy a view to Sheikh Zayed Mosque. They served us with a warm chocolate chips bread along with oil, vinagar and butter that was delicious. We ordered the wagyu burger. I added avocado to it. It comes qith fries and onion crisps. The food was amazing, we'll definitely come back.
Visited today with family and friends for a late lunch. The outdoor dining area overlooks the sea and Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which makes for a great view :)
We were served beautiful fresh bread with butter, oil and balsamic vinegar when we were first seated, which was a nice touch. For starters we had polenta chips with aioli, yum, and garlic bread which was good.
I had beef tartar and it was good along with a salad with apples and candied walnut which was average.
My companions thoroughly enjoyed their steaks. Drinks servings are very generous :)

Great service , nice ambience, amazing food. A little on the pricey side compared to other steak houses. I had a medium rare new York sirloin and it was perfectly cooked but I the blue cheese sauce was a little thin.

The meat co have great food, great menu selection, and great service! This is definitely one to visit if its someones birthday as you are guaranteed a sing and dance. They're meat is cooked to perfection and you definitely won't be disappointed if you visit. They also are located in Souk Qaryat Al Beri which has good views and nice relaxing vibes.
The location and the view is absolutely amazing, the sunset makes everything even more beautiful. The chocolate chip complimentary bread is served warm and is delicious, definitely something original and different from any other restaurant. The burger was yummy, the quality of the meat was really good and all waiters and receptionist are really friendly and helpful. Must try if you love meat and sunset view.
First time trying out The Meat Co yesterday and it was a superb dining experience. We had Crab and Lobster salad, Prime Steak Tartare and Wagyu Rib-Eye (sadly not in the picture as it was devoured way too quickly). Place wasn’t as packed as dinner times but it was lovely because the view was just perfect and the servers were friendly and accommodating.
In terms of food, the salad was refreshing, creamy and just the right sourness; the tartare was extra enjoyable because of the puffed rice but the star of the meal was the steak and the side of mashed potatoes. The sauce and gravy amped up the juicy meat. It was undeniably a filling meal for two.
Went here the first time for a farewell dinner get together with 19 people total. Place has definitely great ambiance and has excellent staff. I'm not a steak person so I ordered the stuffed chicken. Flavorless for an overpriced meal much to my disappointment. Bf had Australian fillet 200g and it was perfect. Calamari and lobster were delicious too. Ordered the malva pudding for dessert and it was very good.
ONLY complaint we had was how we weren't able to use our entertainer just because we split the bill. Is that a legit restaurant policy or an entertainer limitation? Not entirely sure. We would mostly argue to that waiter if we were sober lol.
I recommend this place if you're a steak lover and don't mind spending lots of $$$
South African steakhouse The Meat Co is a bit of an instution on the Abu Dhabi dining scene, having opened almost a decade ago in Souk Qaryat Al Beri. In terms of location it’s a real winner and much like the brands other outlets in Dubai (Madinat Jumeriah and Souk Al Bahar) the phrase ‘dinner with a view’ immediately springs to mind. The Meat Co in the capital can be found conveniently perched on the waters edge of Khor Al Maqta, providing a good vantage point for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Like many places in the Souk, The Meat Co also has the advantage of an outside terrace making the restaurant a worthy choice for a pre-dinner sundowner.
We visited The Meat Co several times last year. This year during Ramadan we visited it. I usually order the lamb skewers and they are delicious. This time I felt they were a bit lacking in the usual juicy flavor. The rest of the meal was quite good. The staff agreed to customize our dessert platter and we were given the chocolate fondant in it. The african malva dessert is exceptional and not easy to find in Abu Dhabi. I would like to have more options other than steak. The view is splendid and the staff always goes out of their way to make the meal special.
Steak & Ribs was okay. Didn't impress me. The bread they serve at the beginning is tdf!!! Its a bread with raspberry and beets. For dessert I ordered malva pudding it was so good.

The best stake in town. They really have the best meat in Abu Dhabi. I've been to almost all stake houses in Abu Dhabi but no one is like the meat co.
Great food and friendly staff; ordered with my steak mashed potatoes but instead they got me French fries and when I told them they immediately changed it and kept the French fries too; the drink which i can't remember the name ( something with berries) was ok and their starter is a must
One of the best stakes I tried. Location is a perfect complement to the food served in this restaurant... that view though. Service is super friendly and engaging. But I felt it was a bit pricey, but this is personal stuff.
How is it that I haven't rated the Meat company yet. Hands down the best steak I have stated in Abu Dhabi. The steak is too flavorful, tender and cuts through like butter that at some point you will need to be reminded that this is beef and not a pound cake.
The service is not to be questioned at all, staff is friendly and the manager has checked on us the three times I have been there to check on the food quality

Great atmosphere.. sophisticated dining space and a separated smoking dining area.. I always order the rib meat burger - double portion of course.. my favorite appetizer is the the peri chicken liver- however I always like it done the old way (toasted bread under the liver covered with the sauce) and the chef always delightfully entertains my request.. great place all in all , id always go back !!
The standard of the cuts of meat are no doubt reasonable but our meal was just average in comparison to a recent meal at a competitor. Service was good.....
Passed by The Meat Co after Iftar during Ramadan. Place was pretty empty which was a great thing. Ordered the Grilled Lobster which turned out amazing. Waiter nicknamed "Ed" was extremely friendly and helped advice with the order. Definitely recommend!

Tried two steaks over here: Australian Wagyu Fillet 300 grams and Australian Angus 300 grams Rib-Eye Steak ; Honestly this place is a steak lovers heaven. Both our steaks were medium well done, so juicy/tender and cooked to perfection.
Location, ambience & service all being perfect. Recommended dine out spot.

I usually take people for birthdays here. You can order a cake and they sing for the birthday boy/girl. Its not the cheesy type of singing. Its actually very cool and different from anywhere else i've seen.
The place is nice, amazing atmosphere and it works for a family gathering or a friends hangout.
The selection of food is perfect for all tastes specialty meat lovers !!

Hanging lamb skewer/Rack of ribs and a Paulaner. Do you need to know anything else? We have been coming to this place for years and simply love it. The staff are attentive and the food great. We have always skipped the steaks, but the rest of the menu items have always pleased. Grab a table on the second floor outside for the best view of the Mosque for dinner.

The very best fish & chips I have ever tasted. The lentil soup was also delicious. However, I find the prices very over exaggerated and you even have to pay for the sauce. They serve you with a yummy home made baguette as a starter. Portions are very huge too.

Nice view, nice atmosphere and good food.. came for lunch, not too many people. We ordered the:
1. Argentinian steak cooked medium well with a side of mash: meat was tender and cooked to order
2. Quinoa salad with yoghurt dressing: very good - mix of quinoa with pine nuts, sweetness of raisins.
There was also complimentary bread - fresh and served warm.

We went for the barbecue buffet on a Sunday (if I'm not mistaken) which included drinks! It was quite small actually but the cuts were good. We had beef tenderloin, rib-eye and sirloin cuts. There were varieties of salads and vegetables with different dressings. They even had mini burgers/sliders in chicken and in beef. The dessert buffet was lovely and the staff members were extremely friendly and assistive.

One of the best steakhouse I have ever been into. The place is very nice which you can have the beautiful view of the amazing Grand Mosque and The Ritz Carlton Hotel. The steak is very juicy and yet so tender even though we had it medium well. And have widest array of steaks to choose from based on the restaurants I have been to. One of the nicest thing in this restaurant also is that they have the coolest restaurant manager. A very accomodating person and ensures his every customer gets to be well taken cared of. My first visit to the Meat Co.
I was celebrating my wedding anniversary with my husband and 8 month old baby.
Very welcoming hostess and waiters.
We wanted to sit in the open and enjoy the dropping temperatures of early Feb but were hesitant to do so with a baby. However, the waitress provided us with a comfy throw and helped us with our table.
Our waiter was quiet convincing in describing the specials of the day and we had just that.
Mozambique style chicken livers which was dipped in a generous amount of peri peri sauce and a platter of two which had 5 fillets of meat served with wild mushrooms and brocolini tossed in melted butter with two sauces; black pepper sauce and mushroom sauce that were oozing with their respective flavours cutting through the usual beschamel sauce and making them very fresh and distinct from each other. It also came with a row of grilled cherry tomatoes that added color and tanginess to the meat platter.
It was an evening well spent as we had some quality food while savouring the view of the beautifully lit Shk Zayed mosque across the waters. The Meat Co
When you are in the mood for steak this is one of the best places to go in Abu Dhabi. I make at least one visit a year and am never disappointed. I went last night and left feeling stuffed and satisfied.
The Meat Co has an delicious grilled Halloumi starter that is absolutely amazing. It is a 3 piece stack of Halloumi that has flavorful grilled pepper marinade in between each stack.
The steaks are always cooked to perfection - however you like. If you don't like, they will take back and cook it some more for you. I would recommend the 300 g US fillet.
Great atmosphere and beautiful views looking out toward Sheikh Zayed Mosque. The service top notch. Always greeted warmly and if you book, a nice welcome sign is on your table. Service quick and you don't wait long for your food to arrive.

Delicious, fresh meat and amazing ambience! Really loved the clean space and the firendly stuff. The view is amazing and the quality of services is high. We tried Rib eye and fillet and the taste/cooking and serving was delicious! Also we had salads for starters (very fresh and healthy) and smashed potato & spinach for the side dish! All yummy! The prices are reasonable compared to the quality of the food and the view! Would definately go again! Keep up the good work!

The combination of quantity and festive atmosphere more than offsets the inconsistent food quality, though some of the meats are quite good. When we went with friends the top-round and lamb were very good, the skirt steak and chicken also good. The fish was dreadful, but hey--it's really a meat place! And once you find things you like, you can pile your plate high.

Meat co has been on my list of places to try for a long while but I had been delaying my visit as I feared there wouldn't be any options for my veggie wife. Thankfully for a place named the Meat Co, they did cater to vegetarians as well.
We happened to be at the Souk Qaryat and the hostess ensured a special dish could be arranged for my wife.
I started off with the Salt and pepper Calamari which was quite crisp and yum.
My mains were the Rib Burger prepared medium, which really ensured the meat was nice and juicy and not at all chewy.
For dessert we had chosen the Malva pudding which was really fantastic. The last time we had a Malva pudding this good was in Cape Town.
Definitely recommended.

Nicco was our server and he was very polite. We ordered the Cheese Burgers which were juicy and well seasoned. Loved it just the way it was, a touch of Mustard was awesome. Will surely go back to have it with a beer next time.

I love celebrating birthdays at the Meat Co because there's nothing like having a great meal with friends and drumming, singing and dancing too ! The vibe, food and staff are what makes the Meat Co different than the rest. The menu has a variety of steaks from Grade-A steaks, super aged meat to Wagyu beef and gourmet burgers for the burger lovers like my husband , chicken and seafood too. Since it was Ramadan and we wanted to try more than one dish, the manager , Charles was kind enough to suggest a few things to try from the menu.
The Meat Co. is a modern, beautiful restaurant serving some of the best steak in the country. We came in for dinner and ordered the New Zealand sirloin and the Wagyu burger. Both were absolutely tender, flavoursome and heavenly. A nice selection of wines are available for those who would like to have their dishes accompanied with alcohol.
The staff ensured that we were taken care of, and were very well informed about the items on the menu. It was my friend's birthday, so the very entertaining front of the house team sang and danced for her and insisted that we all join in.

One has to witness their birthday song! They just can't get any better! Though I once went with a few guests on a weekend and apparently a lot of people were born that day so it did become difficult to talk among ourselves after a while.
Their ribs are awesome and they are always one of the items we order. I am not much of a steak person so can't recommend anything specific but my friends have always liked whatever steak they have ordered. Chicken is good too. The venue is at a great place and therefore this restaurant becomes a "must go" place in Abu Dhabi even when its a little pricey.

Tried the steaks, burger, ribs and more and all are just mouth watering. The best is their chocolate beet bread that i just cant get enough of. The appetizers are not much but will do but imo they are a bit overpriced for their protion but all in all excellent

Good food comes with a heavy price tag. Sometimes you may have to pay double, sometimes triple. But you know its well worth it, when you lick your fingers after you're done!
That's what happened to me when I visited The Meat Co. Yeah, I know that they've got some amazing steaks and all that ... but I visited them to have a burger. We ordered 2 burgers - Wagyu Burger (200 grams ) and Rib Meat Burger (300 grams). Wagyu was only available in 200 grams but the Rib Meat Burger was available in 200 grams too. With Mr. D around, there's no looking at smaller numbers! Both of these are served with 2 sides of your choice.
When the burgers arrived, I was pretty impressed with the size. I couldn't hold it in my hand and neither could it fit in my mouth. Both the burgers were humongous. The rib meat burger especially had meat falling out... like "love handles". Both of them were delicious too. However, I was a bit partial towards the Rib Meat Burger. Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. Our sides were mashed potato, baked potato and onion rings.
We were tempted to order a dessert as well so chocolate & caramel fondant it was! The warm cake had a dark chocolate fondant that oozed out as I cut it. This was tasty too. But I've had better fondants.
I would definitely go try their burgers and probably steaks again. The manager was a friendly guy who gave us a lot of suggestions.
My husband and I decided to try The Meat Co. at the Souk Qaryat Al Beri and we had an amazing experience. The staff Mr.Ronald took care of our order who suggested Chateaubriand as our main dish, super tender beef with delicious mushrooms and baby potatoes. Thank you for the great service Mr.Ronald. Everything was simply wonderful, perfect ambiance and great food. Everybody there provided great and cheerful service and also the resto captain who asked how we are enjoying our meal.
The Angus fillet is just amazing! I really prefer this branch than the ones in Dubai. I've also tried the crab tart for the first time and was extremely happy with it.
They serve perfect steak, and you can tell from the taste of the meat. Amazing views especially at the 2nd floor and great live ambience. Helpful staff

They are masters on what they are serving, the restaurant has good view as well as strategical location. You should expect to pay around 900 Dhs for 2 persons. In addition, my two tips are to bring an entertainer voucher with you to have good discount. Also, to try Fillet steak marble 7+ . Finally, you will feel like Apex predator at the end lol =p

The meat co makes great stakes good service but i hope they improve there desert department the stake was perfect the starter was amazing but i had hoped to get a good finish with the desert they need to up there game when it comes to that but i was happy money well spent.
I had my birthday and anniversary dinner courtesy of hubs at The Meat Co and that simple steak dinner was worth the drive over to Souk Qaryat al Beri. The meat was cooked according to my specification, serving size of mains and sides generous and great tasting. The ambiance was great though lighting a bit dark for me. The serving and waiting staff was just great. Warm, attentive and easy to speak with in terms of orders and feedback request. Going for another reservation.
Nice place . Nice food. The ribeye steak is amazing when you are craving a good steak once in a while . Love the salad with green apple and walnuts. The appetizers are really good as well .

We went as a group of 7 and ordered 1 starter, 3 main courses and we were stuffed. The portion size of 1 dish is good for 2 hungry people. We had the rib meat burger (200g is huge itself), australian short ribs and the chateaubriand which was 6 steak slices. Courteous prompt staff, good food and ambience makes this place a regular for my friends circle.
The views, the awesome burgers, the tenders steaks, what does it for us ??? Et bien, all of it, what doesn't do it is my bank statements... Lol...Prices are way better than Rodeo grill and the quality seems to be the same, but if you are on the budget, go to the food court in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, and try the Butcher (The restaurant which makes the corner as I can't remember the full name), and plus you can buy some of their meat to take home!!!Friendly service too at the Meat co !!! The place is very nice, beautiful location and terrace with views to the Grand Mosque. The service is attentive and efficient. The food, as you would expect with that name, is focused on meat, and I have to admit their burgers are excellent! From a basic cheeseburger to the fab wagyu one, they nail the point of the beef and with the portions you really have to be very hungry to even share a starter or a dessert. Though the quality of the mean is very good it comes at a price, and that is my only con.
I have been to the meat co for tens of times and what you will notice is that food and service are always excellent. There is something sentimental about this place :)
Their steaks are the best in town and their waiters are nicest and coolest ever.
The view is something else, specially from January to march where you can enjoy your meal in the outdoors. A bit pricey I would say, but you have to try it.
I went there and ordered the Wagyu burger. Beautiful, delcious. It melts in thd mouth and the bun is so good that i was almost asking for another one.
The Meat Co is one of my favorite spots in abu dhabi. They serve excellent food and they are always consistent. Excellent service and love the beautiful view. Must try . Personally i love their burgers.
I have to say this is my go-to place because it is close to work, but more so because ALL of the staff is super friendly and genuinely so! I began going in 2012 for small bites and really have never been disappointed. Parents' visit and friends' visit...this is one of the places we went. They are never short of entertaining with South African rhythms. Great place!
I used to go there often, but something changed and I hope it doesn't stay that way, the steaks weren't as good as I remember them. But it's one of the nice steakhouses around abu dhabi with a nice view.

I visit this restaurant on an average of 2-4 times a year,,I Adoree their meat! they have probably the best meat in town, fresh and tasty!I tried their Burgers and the skewers..If you are a fan of burgers i would really recommend u to try the beef burger they have, it is one of the best burgers ive tasted in my life ...however the time it takes to serve the food is quiet slow around 20 -25 mins for two main dishes! besides the fact that they r over priced (but i understand because they serve good meat quality and provide an overall high standard service) overall, i really love this place, the staff are over friendly and nice which makes me keep on visiting it
Went to this place for the second time, this time with a friend who is a die hard foodie and I think he might've cried a little after he tried their barbecued ribs!!! These rubs are simply perfection! I was sooo content that I even took a selfie for the "Take a Selfie and Win A Hamper" Competition!
Steak to perfection at Meat Co, along with tasty side dishes and a beautiful view of the grand mosque, quiet waterfront setting and quite romantic. Vaguely familiar feel of being back home with typical African decor and drums singalong if it's your birthday.
Between gras fed and grain fed steak we couldn't actually decide which was the best fillet but on desserts the Nutella cheesecake was a winner for sure.

I go to The Meat Company for 2 reasons: When I am craving a thick juicy piece of steak, and to chat with their waiters, who are genuinely very nice people!
Even though I go there regularly, I always ask for recommendations, as I am never disappointed. Their steaks are done, in the exact way you ask for them, and the options for the accompanying sauces, although not too many, are extremely delicious.
The crab cakes are also very good starters, although I was hesitant to try them the first time they were recommended, since this is more of a steak house. I'm glad I did, though.
Oh, and go on your birthday, (Or even pretend it is your birthday!) and enjoy the African drumming, and see the waiters go WILD.

This place is simply amazing !!! We ordered the barbecued chicken breast , the New York sirloin and the to die for barbecued ribs.

Being a pure non vegetarian, i fell in love with this joint. The only regret I had about visiting The Meat Co. is that I went on the day when alcohol was prohibited from being served as I wanted to try the different dishes which had alcohol as one of its ingredients. The staff were very friendly and were patient in taking our orders. The burger I had was exquisite and I also had the pleasure of trying out a chicken steak which was cooked to perfection. The price range is a bit high but its well worth it due to the Ambience and Quality of service and food we experienced.
I recommend all the non vegetarian foodies to try out this place.

A couple of friends and myself were invited to attend a birthday dinner at The Meat Co. As skeptical I was about trying a new restaurant, as soon as we entered the restaurant my mind was put to ease. The staff were extremely friendly and showed so much love for us that we felt like family. As soon as we were seated, we constantly had waiters and waitresses stop by our table and ask us if we needed anything. I ordered the "Certified Australian Angus 150 Day Grain-Fed Beef" 300 Gram Ribeye Steak. Whilst ordering, the staff recommended different choices of sauces and sides which would complement our meal very well. Hesitantly waiting for our food to be served, we all awaited for our succulent cuts of meat to be served to us. They say that the quality of the cook on the steak is shown when you can cut through the steak as if it is butter. Well as you might have guessed, cutting through the steak was very simple and felt as if we were cutting through butter. The cook was exactly spot on, you ask for a medium they will definitely make sure that the steak you get is a medium. The side which came along with our steak was the fluffy mashed potatoes which was one of the three different types of potato sides which came along with your meal. The choices were between mashed potatoes, baked potatoes and thick cut chips. I recommend that you should definitely try out their fluffy mashed potatoes. Many times you have mashed potatoes which have lumps which disgraces the true texture of the simple and delicious mashed potatoes, but The Meat Co really knew how to create the perfect mashed potato. As we specified earlier that we came to attend a birthday dinner the staff came across our table and stood silent for 30 seconds. As always you may expect that they will all begin to sing "Happy Birthday" in unison, but we were wrong. Throughout the night we saw the staff play the drums as a little show that complemented the atmosphere of the restaurant. So thats just what they did to celebrate our birthday. They started creating a beat with the drums and they slowly incorporated the vocals of some of the female staff members to make it a truly unforgettable experience. Overall, The Meat Co is an experience of a lifetime, the food is spectacular, the service is phenomenal, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is very lovely and intimate.
We walked in The Meat co the waiters were co-operative and social. We picked our table and we ordered the main course instantly.
I had [Premium Wagyu Beef Marble Score 7+ (Australia) Fillet 200g] and my friend had [Châteaubriand, 500g US150-Day Grain-Fed Fillet].
My steak was medium well, very very tender, juicy with the delicious barbecue sauce.
My friend's steak was a heavy material nice slices cooked well but it without sauce so we ordered side mushroom sauce and it was fantastic, still my steak was more tasty. ????
The orange juices were good. Service was excellent, the waiter helped us well when we ordered

From the burgers to the steaks, grills and sweet endings, I've never been disappointed in the countless times I've been here. Being african, I feel right at home in the South African ambience! The waiters and manager are always nice and welcoming. Whenever we celebrate an event, they take us back to our home continent with the drums and folk songs. I love this place!
The service was very slow and our waiter was a tad rude. It's one of those restaurants where you are stuck with one waiter and our waiter was almost not there.
The ambiance was very dim and a bit gloomy.
The burger was really good and juicy. It was huge though. We ordered mushroom sauce on the side, it wasn't that good. I've had better. The fries was good although by the time you finish your burger you'd be full. Strawberry juice was good.
I suggest you go there when your hungry.
Bottom line: very slow service, but good food.

The Meat Co has always been on my list of restaurants to visit in Abu Dhabi. So I made a reservation hoping it lived up to the standard I suspected it would. The restaurant is located in at the Souk Qaryat Al Beri situated on the Grand Canal with views of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. We were greeted at the door and taken to our table where there was a plaque with our name reserving our window side table. We decided on the calamari for an appetizer and it came out crispy and quite delicious. Though the portion size left a little to be desired, I will always take quality over quantity.
For main course we decided to have Wagyu steaks, one ribeye and one fillet with a side of creamed spinach. These were served with steak fries and a root vegetable medley. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection, though I am not sure they were worth the steep cost of over 350 AED. The sides were also quite good particularly the steak fries.
Our waiter made the evening even better. In a country where customer service is never the top priority I was pleasantly surprised at the time and effort put in by the wait staff. Our waiter was funny, engaging and had great menu suggestions. I will be sure on my next visit to take his recommendation and get one of their supposedly delicious hamburgers. I look forward to another visit quite soon.
The meat co is one of my favourite places to take guests when they visit. The meat is excellent as would be expected from a place focused on meat. Also the ambiance and service is great with staff from South Africa the home of meat co. One other benefit of this restaurant is it is licensed! Yes they sell great wines to go with your steaks! The wine is such a feature of the place it's in racks everywhere!

To be honest The meat Co. did not impress me alot for one reason, the food is not always the same. They managed to ruin my steaks the last three times. Burnt steaks, bland mash potatos and disappointing desserts. Only an idiot will go back after all these disappointments, but who's saying i am not one?.
Last week my friend kept nagging for days and i had to give in to all the nagging, but only if he orders my food and if turns out bad its my revenge to take on him. we went there and ordered our starters dishs, my freind took care of the steak side of the order and the eaiting game was on. First came our drinks, no faults but nothing wow as well. The drinks were very good and the starters dishes came shortly after, the sausage is very very good and the shrimp dish was nice also.
Now to the STEAKS, they came and looked very nice from the outside. Juicy, tender and full of taste, this is how i would describe the steak i ate last week. i was surprised and my friend told my his tiny secret for having a good steak every time he comes to Meat Co.. He only orders from the connoisseur choice steaks, they are four steaks but they are the best steaks the meat co. can offer and yes they were delightful. I ordered a medium fillet and got a medium fillet which was a good start, although i tend to order medium well all the time. The mash potato wast just right this time, creamy, soft, and tastful.
Now of everything went smooth, why not try some dessert. I ordered the apple crumble pie while my friend ordered the peanut butter and chocolate pie. We both liked our dessert and were happy to pay a 1400 bill. I know this is a bit steep, but i havent had a very good steak in almost a year. IT WAS WORTH IT.
I will defintely go back again after the last steak, my friend restoerd my faith in The Meat Co. and yes i am going to order only from the connoisseur choice menu. and if next time is the same as the last time, this place is going into may favorites list.

The Meat Co in Souk Qarayat Al Beri is a large resto with upstairs and downstairs, smoking and non-smoking dining venues. The service is polite and friendly and the prices are astronomical!! Each Dish working its way up to 200 Dhs each, whereas the potions were hearty ( as it should be for that price!)
On the bright side, we were seated upstairs where we could see the counter where the flambe and grilling happens. We ordered bresola which is finely cut strips of almost raw meat (at least it tasted raw anyway) and which we almost spit out after 1st bite. Why serve Italian in a south african meat joint anyway?? The boerwauers-(african sausages) we good, but miniscule.
My sister ordered the Spicy Lamb Meat Skewer (very popular dish). It came accompanied by the most delicious baked potato with sour cream that you have ever seen. My cousin had the Wagyu burger which is huge with square cut Fat fries. Though Im not a fan of Fat mushy fries, turns out my cousin loves anything with the word French fries, so she enjoyed it.
The portions being darn filling , we opted out of dessert (lest we wash dishes whole night) although the couple next to our table did since it was her b'day and was sung to by 3 huge affable African waiters and bongo drums. Turns out the place is quite popular for birthdays. So Bring out the bongo cheer YO

The Meat Co. is one of the best restaurants in Abu Dhabi that sells food ranging from salads to meat and I have tried many meals including cheeseburger, double burger, classic burger, rib eye steak, and chicken ceaser salad and their best meal that they have is the rib eye steak, which is my favorite. Rib eye steak is one of the best meals and it is pretty expensive ranging from 250-350 dhs depending on the size of the steak. Meat Co. service is excellent they bring everything on time, and the waitress are around everywhere, so when you need them they will be there and also when they give you your food they sing an African song which is pretty funny and the place looks like an African design. The tables have everything on them to eat, seats are comfortable and the food quality is amazing it is really tasty and delicious. It is located in (Bain Eljesrain) in Shangri-La. The problem is that the restaurant does not sell vegetarian food. So if you have a vegetarian friend or member in your family then you must know that they just sell salads for vegetarians. They have nearly all kind of beverages including wine for Europeans and American people. I had a pretty amazing experience in the Meat Co. because it was my first time going to it and I enjoyed both the food and the service. I believe that Meat Co. is one of the best restaurants in UAE. Over all the restaurant should be ranked 5 stars out of 5 and it is very satisfactory for couples and families, you will appreciate it very much.

The Meat and Wine co.
The meat co. is a restaurant with great food. It has a lot of ranging from salads to vegetarian meals. Some great foods that I tried are the chicken Cesar salad, rib eye, cheeseburger, and many more. The restaurant also has chicken and vegetarian food for people who don’t like meat. The price there is a little expensive for some food; especially the steak, but overall all the other foods are fine. The service in the meat co. is wonderful, most of the waiters there are African, and very funny. One time I went there and it was my friend’s birthday, the staff there brought a cake and started singing and dancing. The service is great, they bring everything on time, and there around everywhere, so when you need them they will be there. The restaurant looks very nice inside and out, it has a lot of places to sit on, so you have to wait. The interior design looks amazing, tables have everything on them to eat, seats are confortable, and the food is amazing. Overall the restaurant is very well for couples and families, you will enjoy it very much.
Good steaks. I tried the australian beef (well done) and it tasted nice. Tried their Caesar Salad which was really good also. It was a good experience. Cant say they are best. The staff seemed well trained and were helpful when it came to ordering. Overall, it was a good experience but the prices are a bit high for the food served (my opinion).
Great ribs. I only wish they had less sugar in the bbq sauce on them but that's just my personal preference, I think adding so much sugar to savoury dishes is unnecessary. It was our first time there and we felt like intruders. The staff seemed to tolerate us well enough but they had their favourites amongst the patrons, maybe regulars who knew the menu by heart and didn't ask as many questions as we did? Not a great first impression. Food quality was good, prices on the higher side.
