Bukod sa pagkain, staff are also the reason why we keep coming back. They are polite and very attentive sa needs and request ng customers. Special mention to Sir Godwin. Thumbs up po Keep up the Good work! Thank you po! 👍🏼
Came here for lunch with my boss. We shared pork spring rolls and each had a pork batchoy (Philippine style noodle soup). The food was nice and prices reasonable (a bit higher than independent Philippine restaurants but expected given it’s nice location in the hotel). With fresh chili the batchoy has a nice kick to it. The downside came at the end of our lunch when the waiter advised that it is not possible to re-issue the bill for us to use the Zomato discount. I couldn’t understand why that was not possible but, whatever, will use the discount if I return.
As usual food is great. We ordered Crispy Pata and Pork Liempo and the taste reminds me of home. I will always come back to Kuya Juan for their amazing food and their hospitality. Just a bit slow service, I think they are understaffed. Feel sorry for the servers but they still manage to smile and be nice no matter how busy and demanding their customer can get.
The food and ambience is superb! Kuya GODWIN and JUDIE are very warm and accommodating. The food reminds of home, very delicious and serving amount is justified for its price. Definitely will come back here!
Food was excellent as always! Each cuisine was prepared tasty! We like the kare-kare and the crispy pata. They were our all time favorite. Staff was very accommodating to all our requests. Forgot his name but he attends to us ertime we visit. Thank you!
Me and my girlfriend wants to eat at kuya juan on friday dinner buffet, however reservations were already full then i’ve speak with kuya godwin and arrange a table for us without any hustle, i celebrated also my birthday at their restaurant and they were all very helpful and flexible. Thank you so much and until next time again!!!
Good food, good service, good price! Totally in love with the ambiance! 👍🏼 also, al ain palace has a 50%off promo from groupon!!! The best deal if you are craving for pork!!!
pork is pork, for me everything will be good if pork is there. the only restaurant in abu dhabi serving filipino pork dishes so we keep on coming back. its alwys crowded so better do a reservation before dining in.
I would like to commend Godwin from Kuya Juan Restaurant who provided an exceptional customer service that really made our dining experience enjoyable. The food and ambiance were great.
Very cozy Filipino Resto.. my friends and i always come back here if we are craving for Filipino Babe Cuisine. Good food and music with live band playing in sets..
It’s my first time to visit the restaurant with some good friends. It’s actually one of the few restaurants that offer pork recipes here in Abu Dhabi. There is an accoustic band that gives your dining experience worth while. For the food, we ordered bulalo but nothing so special about it. As well as the pancit bihon. But the lechon kawali is good. It’s crispy as expected. The sago’t gulaman is also good.
Will definitely comeback to this place and taste the other recipes that they offerz the experience was fun and we’re full.
Tried here last night for dinner with family. We ordered kara-kare, beef caldereta and pork humba :) all tastes superb and great! But didnt like the sisig much. Maybe we should have ordered sisigbagnet instead. And had couple of drinks too. The acoustic duo performing is also soothing. Their voices fills the area making the it feels like relaxing and cozy ambiance. :) sadly, the staff are not that accomodating and friendly, maybe they are tired since it was almost 11pm when we reached there. Hopefully, on our next visit, they will be accomodating and friendly enough to add some good vibes!
Kuya Juan is situated in Al Ain Palace. We went on theit friday buffet dinner to celebrate one of my friends birthday. They served typical filipino cuisine and that includes pork dishes. The selections were few and since i don't eat pork, i wasn't able to enjoy the buffet and even limits my choices. Drinks were not included in the buffet and you have to pay extra for it. The food was average since i think that the highlight was the pork lechon which i never tried. Nonetheless, the experience was great because they have a live band which you can request your favorite song for them to sing. They also served alcoholic drinks. A good place to hangout with friends.
It was such a great experience to be dining in Kuya Juan especially the Live Music while having dinner is perfect just feels like Im in the Philippines. Service is not that great. Food was very good and tasty. Credit to the band who had great voice. I already recommend it to my friends who are Pork lovers and wants nice ambience while eating.
who wouldn't love kuya juan? In a gulf country like UAE, you can count in your hands the food places that serves pork, and this by far is on top of my list when i crave for guess what, pork! expect to have filipino dishes that are cooked to perfection to fulfill one's longing of home country's cuisine. its hard to pick my favorite among their dishes, for the reason that they are all good. I've been here quite a few times, mostly with friends to catch up and we prefer to go there during dinner time because they have live acoustic band and they serve alcoholic beverages too! The only downside is that their smoking and non-smoking area are not divided appropriately, so it will be difficult when you have kids in tow. Another thing is during friday they have buffet. I tried lunch buffet once, and i can say that they are a bit overpriced since they have limited choices of dishes. Other than that, everything is good here in kuya juan.
Im from philippines so definitely i will like this kind of food.
We always stay at Al Ain Palace Hotel because the poll was great and there are too many selection that you can stay at night.
Yesterday are our monthsary date so we ate again in Kuya Juan. This might be our 20x visit or more maybe.
You guys better check this place it was very cool.
Every night except friday there is live acoustic band playing your favorite songs.

It's nice to be back here after a long time. The food is still good as always. The staff is very hospitable. And what I missed the most is the soothing music played by the duo (I kept on forgetting their names).
We've tried Kuya Juan for a buffet dinner few months back. My husband and I were actually expecting for the best pork lechon since we haven't eaten lechon for quite a while. The place was dimly lit that made my photos unappealing and doesn't do justice at all. Taste wise the food was ok but the menu was quite limited. By the time we came the lechon was already pre-cut and served in small plates and almost finished. It was not crunchy as what we expected yet still fine. We were almost full when suddenly they serve another mini-lechon. Diners were all delighted and even had photos with the whole serving of lechon. Overall our experience was good. I think we would still come to try another dinner buffet when we suddenly crave for lechon. 😉
Discovered this place by mistake while staying at a nearby hotel. The food was authentic philipino and the staff were helpful. The place was crowded because it was a Friday, and i guess that affected the service time. Having said that the food was authentic , some of the dishes were below par.
Ambiance was ok.
If you're a fan of Filipino pork dishes, then this is the place to be... Authentic Philippine flavor and the place has a very nice vibe. The acoustic duo performer that night adds to the nice ambiance the place has. One bad thing though are the staff who doesnt seem to pay attention to the guests after they have placed the orders on the table. Would have been a 5 rating if not for them.
If you love Manila food then this is the best place to go. So far I tastes almost half of their menus and I can't complain. Its like the authentic kamayan in Edsa. Great place and excellent pinoy food.
If you're missing pork, you have to try this place. They offered a variety of pork dishes. And also they have a band playing acoustic music, and for this you will not be bored.
The serving time is very fast. The thing is svery weekend the place is full mostly of filipinos and even americans. There will be a long line of customers standing at the back waiting for a vacant table.
We ate here 2 times and we're always wanting their crispy pata and pork dinakdakan.
If I want to eat pork, I'd come here. How I love their Lechon Kawali and Crispy Pata! And they have buffets on Fridays, which include an array of delicious dishes. But you have to come early though because the food runs out. Their desserts are also delicious especially the Ube. Their staff are not so friendly though.
The crispy pata and sisig bagnet were divine! I would drive all the way to Abu Dhabi just for this! Oh, and the garlic fried rice was a dish on its own for me! They have a duo band which plays nightly too!
If you're looking for filipino food, this is the best place for you! They serve alcoholic beverages as well, with acoustic band on the side...
Loved the food and friendly service I will defo go back. Good to have an outstanding Philippino place to eat. Kare kare is my dish of note lovely
Nice setting.with a live band in the evening. Staff is so accommodating. U don't have to wait for long before ur order arrives in ur table. Food is authentic. I like that each serving of rice is alot for each person.@ Ambience is peaceful and conducive for eating heavily and just hanging out with friends. Alcoholic drinks are available which is nice.
I love the kare-kare and the crispy pata. This place is making me nostalgic and the food is affordable too. It is worth trying for those who want to taste genuine Filipino dishes.
Try Lechun kawali, a deep fried pork belly with special Pilipino sause... Hmm drooling.. The size is enough for 2 person.. Don't forget to try also halo-halo, a signature deserts from Filipinas!
This is one of the restaurant in uae that serves pork. In muslim country pork is not allowed. This restaurant is very cozy, there is live band and also they serve beer.
You have got to try the roast pork knuckle!! It's really crispy!!! I tried the fried pork belly and it tastes very good too!! I prefer to buy a pork knuckle for takeaway instead of having the buffet in the restaurant. There isn't much cracklings left in a buffet serving the people in the restaurant. I will certainly visit often for the pork knuckles.
Just had dinner with friends tonight. The food was amazing. Big portion of crispy pata, liempo wasn't available :( so we opted to have lechon kawali instead which was tasty but there was too much fat in the meat, i can almost feel my cholesterol sky rocketing. The lechon kawali tastes like it was recooked. The ginataang labong was also good, the papaitan was tasty but the bitterness is too strong for my taste. Bulalo is ok, i've tasted better bulalo. Chicken binakol is new to my taste, but i didnt really like it as it reminds me of teptip buko juice in can but with chicken? Too bad they dont have the budol anymore, kuya said it was only for two months. Last time we ate there was last August, to celebrate my 28th birthday. Their budol had big servings (so much rice) although i think you can save more if you will just order one by one especially if u dont like all the viands that are included in the budol.
The ladies of Kuya Juan could use a little smile, almost all of them looked sullen. The place just opened when we came and they looked really tired already except for one kuya who had a ready smile when we came in. Would have given perfect rating if not for the not so accommodating staff.
Great restaurant for a casual night out.
When I went with three friends they had an acoustic duo playing who were fun. We tried about 4 dishes, the highlight was a slow cooked meat dish which was crispy and tender and all-round delicious.
We had to wait for food for a while but when it arrived it was very good. The total meal (A LOT of food) came to approx 80dhs per person, this didn't include any drinks except water.
great food, specially the Crispy Pata...
Pinoy food + pinoy acoustic band = You will feel you are just in Philippines..
