Everything about this place is perfectly good.. from taking the order to serving . The staff was attentive and offered us lot of good stuff. They even gave us FREE drinks since it’s ladies night that time we went.
Must try for first timer. I’ll be back next time!
إستمتعت كثيرا بالأكل،خاصة طبق اللحم والحمص الذي أعتبره شخصيا الأفضل أبوظبي.
Absolutely one of my best food experiences in UAE, the was just amazing and yummy. the meat was perfectly cooked as I requested, the waiters looks happy to serve us.
First time to try Moroccan food and was not disappointed. The outdoor sitting area is nice in this weather.
Pleasant place with waterfront and city view... Ordered chicken and lamb skewers... Chicken is very soft but few cubes of lamb are hard to chew... Desserts presentation are good... Friendly staff and responsive...
It's an expensive place but worth to visit once in a while
Having shiaha and morocan tea in Almaz at Abu Dhabi Galleria Mall, amazing shisha, amazing place for shisha watching the abu dhabi sky line highly recommended
Spacious restaurant and Shiha bar with indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the waterways. Warm and friendly staff who are attentive without being in-your-face. Tried their eggs Benedict and it was good but pretty standard. My friend ordered a Moroccan style omelette in a tagine. It was pretty nice and so was the cheese platter. The shisha was good. This place isn’t cheap but then you are paying for the location as well.
The food is good but I love coming here more for the Shisha! It’s got a lovely and authentic atmosphere. The servers are very attentive and eager to change the coals and take your order. Other places you have to call out for the server to come and flip the coal or change them.
nice cozy place.. good service.. great shisha.. outdoor seating with a wonderful view.. food was good.. little bit overpriced.. around 400 dirhams for 2 people..
Came here the other day for just some tea/coffee and dessert.
I loved the interior. This reminded me of a really authentic Moroccan feel. I thought the location was great and ambience was lovely.
The double espresso macchiato I ordered was excellent. It was very smooth and of high quality.
We ordered some small desserts. Nothing major but were recommended a chocolate tart in particular. It was absolutely amazing. I cannot stress how good this was!
We also ordered some small bites which were about 8 AED each. These were nice but one of them I didn’t think was great.
Although I didn’t eat main course food, I can tell you that I enjoyed the coffee, dessert and ambience.
Although I would stress it was a pricey restaurant. The service was great and I felt very welcome from the beginning.
This was my first time at Almaz, a promising experience really. The staff of the restaurant were very humble, helpful and smiling all the time. The service was excellent and the food was on spot.
We've ordered many appetizers like Zaalouk, Falafe, Hummus, and the Kale Tabbouleh. I didn't expect the kale tabbouleh to be that delicious! Most important was the portion size, perfect for two to three people.
We've also ordered kebabs and the famous Harira soup which was a perfection. In addition we've ordered merguez which was not very pleasing (smelly). I've tried better merguez before.
The kofta skewers were yummy and succulent. The chef was kind enough to make me Beef Kofta which was not on the menu.
The gran finally was the perfectly crafted Chocolate Fondant (photo) served with Vanilla Ice cream. It was just what the doctor ordered ;-) Not to forget we've enjoyed the Moroccan tea, refreshing and warming.
The atmosphere was very pleasant and seating as well was properly arranged. I like the view overlooking the water feature. Very calming and relaxing.
Prices were just right.
Overall the experience was amazing and we will be visiting Almaz again for sure inshallah.
Moroccan restaurant located in a Mall. Food is good and tasty. We went around 11pm thinking that the restaurant will close at 2am as shown in the app but they close at 1am everyday.
People were friendly.
Good service with polit stuff, the cake is really yammmmm I like chocolate but service with hot chocolate and cake makes me love it more👈will have next meal here
My friends and I usually go to the same restaurants repeatedly when we come to galleria, but today we decided to try something new. While walking outside, Almaz by Momo caught our attention and we decided that this is the place we were gonna hang out tonight. Their ice cream was so good and apparently home made. Their staff was super friendly and their prices weren’t too bad. Also their shisha is good. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
Have been there several times. I've tried the Fattoush, which is nice and fresh tasting, and the Mutabbal, which is smoky and well-prepared which is a plus. I also tried the chicken liver, which was really well done! It's a must try. I would also recommend the Tajines, and the other Morocca dishes on the menu, especially if they involve lamb. I was warned about the reduced portion sizes, and whoever told me was right. The quality of the food was still the same though. Just wish that they go back to the serving sizes from last year :(. Their Sheesha is raved about and smooth on the throat, and the Moroccan Mint Tea is excellent as well.
Definitely a place to visit in the winter because one can sit outside on the boardwalk. The DJ plays some great music post 10pm. In the summers it is super warm, so one probably has to sit inside. The seating inside is a little dim, but it renders a loungey feel to the place. The staff is super quick, friendly and attentive :).
My review based on birthdays surprise.
I decided to surprise my sister on her birthday in this restaurant. The way that they celebrate makes you want to stand up and shake you body. I had to make reservations before 1-2 hours before i go there so they can prepare the cake. They don’t have small cake like for one person. They made for me cake for 3 people I guess. I liked the way the that they sang for her she was very happy and surprised. For the price for this kind of cake it was high
But if my sister is happy then I’m happy.
I went there with family from my friend recommendation for brunch so i can order from breakfast and lunch menu and the food was very delicious so the next day I went too
Lamb shoulder cous cous is really tasty, staff is really friendly and helpful.
A bit disappointed about the complimentary bread, not the best.
Location decor and outside area are really amazing.

Attentive service, Moroccon delights and shisha with a view overlooking the water. This is a relaxed, clean space to dine in with the smoky aroma of shisha wafting around. Recommended, but not cheap nor cheerful in price. Lunch for 3 cost us approx. AED 700..say what?!
We were there for a late lunch. The ambiance is no doubt really good and the place is cozy. We tried their Hummus (3/5), Tajine (4/4), Couscous (3.5/5), Moroccan Tea (4.5/5) and Moroccans sweets (4/5). Overall it was a good experience and good value for money. We paid around 150 AED each.
Going back if I feel having Moroccan food in Abu Dhabi.
Really great food ,I don't usually eat Moroccan food from restaurants but this one is really amazing restaurant, but the prices are a little bit high.
New place for us
We were going from their in evening
So we decided to go there
I must say place is really good and impressive
Decorations and interiors were so amazing
I go with coffee
It was cool I like it
Ambiance was amazing and location was outstanding
Recomend this place to all
Amazing place just to chill ✌🏼 arabic food with sheesha best best combination. The quantity on the food of 2 people was very fine we ordered mix it was beef, chicken and much more variety and for 2 people the bill was pretty good. We also ordered fresh juices everything for 150 including the sheesha as well.
I would have given them a 5 stars rating if they only have a better customer service. The staff are nice but it takes them too long to notice that you need help or to get you what you asked for. Their food is so good & shisha is fine as well. However & again they have issues with checking on their customers. The shisha guy changed the charcoal only 3 times in a more than 2 hours stay although that I kept calling for him. I'm giving them the 4 however for the good food & the amazing view, decoration & atmosphere!
AMAZING staff and food ,
highly rocmended 💪🏻
Love love love the atmosphere 💕💕💕💕💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
The ambiance and the view is amazing! If you are planning to impress someone, this will be my option. 😊 The restaurant is also divided to smoking and non smoking area. It also has Al fresco dining!
One of the best spots for chilling in abudhabi. Hookah and moroccian tea. Food is good . Their drinks and cocktails are well done. Love their daily lunch set menu that change everyday of the week
A great classy place, great ambience and beautiful view. Shisha never disappointing and the food and beverages are pleasing too. Everything about the place just says class. Staff provide good service and ensure all is well.
Good food, music too loud specially when there is a birthday, staff are good but too busy. I like the outdoor seating during the winter. The indoor seating is traditional Moroccan which is nice but I prefer outdoors.
They should do something about the loud music and busy staff.
The restaurant is very nice. A good location for a hangout with friends or family. Delicious food and nice sheesha. Staff is very friendly.
Good taste of north African cousin. Harira soup was great and coscos was very nice as well.
Big portions and the salad selection is appealing but make sure to leave some room for desert and Moroccan tea.
I didnt expect such a nice food .....the restaurant is great starting from autentical decoration through really professional staff and finally great food....
I have been to Almaz before in Dubai, but this is my first time in the Mariyah Island Branch in Abu Dhabi.
Was happy with Good breakfast options .. Good Taste .. Clean and Relaxing environment and Most Importantly: Good Service.
One extra Thing : There is a good isolation between smoking and non smoking areas ..
I'm coming again for sure.
This was my first visit for a lunch with colleagues as we work nearby. I have worked near Almaz since it opened, have heard very mixed reports and so this was my first visit.
Our party arrived at different times but the waiting staff were very accommodating and piled us with bread, dips and water whilst waiting. Orders were then taken and I set in for a long wait as I'd heard from many that service is very slow. The restaurant was almost empty on this summer afternoon (as Abu Dhabi is pretty much empty now) and maybe that made a difference. Our food arrived within 15-20 minutes of ordering.
I'd ordered the chicken tagine and it was extremely tasty. Colleagues had the couscous and enjoyed it but the portions of couscous where excessively large. The tagine was just fine size wise.
It was just a quick work day lunch so we left it at that. But I'd certainly like to return to try more of the menu.
The bill was fair for the quality of food, service and pleasant surroundings.
I will certainly return again soon.
Although not a big fan of mall restaurants but Almaz delivers a different experience with its nicely decorated indoor area as well as offering a nice outdoor seating overlooking Abu Dhabi's nice skyline and water. The food especially Couscous is really delicious and the staff are super friendly however slow sometimes.
My only problem would be how noisy the place can be sometimes but definitely worth trying.
Fantastic ambience ! Great food and a great place to chill! Their mixed grill is good enough for 2 if u wanna take a quick munch before sheesha. Service is top notch and peppy classy crowd.
If you are in the mood of moroccan food and you like the fashion places you have to come here, harira soup is a must as well as couscous, service is very good and if you seat outside you will have an interesting view.
Shisha, morrocan tea, orang sky, Abu Dhabi skyline...
I have not ordered food today but have been here a couple of times on official and casual visits with friends and family.
The staff are attentive and the food here is good.. if you like Tagini and couscous.. you will enjoy.
Always an extremely pleasant and lively experience at Almaz. I love the way it is set apart with a Moroccan feel rather than your typical Lebanese cafe. The decor, the helpfulness of the servers, Cheb Khaled playing in the background and the general ambience creates the perfect mood to smoke shisha. Not to mention their shisha is very good for such an upscale place, although you might find trouble sometimes to get your faham changed. The food is always a delight especially the Fatoushe, the Spinach Ravioli and Hummus are worth mentioning. Overall I'd go back more for the overall experience including music, service, shisha and the view of Al Maryah Island than anything else. I always have a good time guaranteed here.
Chose the outdoor seating, it took a while for the service to get going but the menu, ambience, music and the taste was simply fantastic..Enjoyed the Traditional soup which was a mix of lentil, noodle, chickpea, lamb....the signature salad-machuia, lamb couscous and chicken tajine are by far one of the best ones I have had....
very nice , original concept
Service fast
atmospher cosy
food very frech and tasty ,
really excelent
good luck for the team and special thanks

Great place for moroccan food and shisha with the nice view at the outdoor seatings. Music is so nice but it is so loud specially after 8 pm it becomes like a club which is very noisy.
The food is great but very over priced.
It's very nice place... the outdoor has great view..
Music is fun a bit lowed but why not.
Dessert were good... especially the chocolate cake.
Drink not that impressive.
All in all is good place to chill.
Maryah Island is one of the most relaxing location on the Island. Sitting at the terrace, enjoying the beautiful view would almost makes us forget that we are in the city center. Personnaly I find their music too loud when I wish to catch up with friends.
They serve an excellent lamb tagine with prunes. If you are in a couscous mood, I suggest you try the grilled shoulder (first listed in their menu). Their couscous are quite good, not outstanding, yet this one is served with a delicious grilled lamb shoulder, infused in sumptuous spices, and very well done!
They also offer a great selection of mocktails. And their lemon sorbet (served a side of fresh grapfruit pulp) is the best I have sampled in this country.
Wasn't the best lamb couscous I ever had but it was certainly the best Moroccan tea in Abu Dhabi. I recommend this place for its shisha and music if you want a quiet evening this place is not for you. I wanted to enjoy the view and let me tell yeah the view of the water is great. They even play the Didi Didi song when it's someone's birthday I thought that was awesome. Plus the staff comes over with a tambourin in hand. Cute touch.
I love it the atmosphere there is amazing the music and the service system let u live a gorgeous moments ...I love the borek seafood its delicious must try it..
My fav Moroccan restaurant/cafe in AD! I love how authentic it is and the decor is Superb. The great thing is the great seating outside but bummer about the sheesha. I wish they do a private area for us to enjoy as we don't smoke. The dishes I love are the soup, borwat, the chicken Bastille, all the tagine from lamb to chicken. Of course you must end it with the sweet Moroccan tea and the delicious Moroccan sweets. Just writing this review made me want to go there now lol
Beautiful location and good food! Gets very busy especially now that the weather is lovely but they has some good dishes and moden Morrocan options. They also have sheesha which is a plus for group outings... and their staff are awesome and super friendly!
Love this place to bring new 'AbuDhabians' to experience the 'Arabic culture' which is hard to find in UAE. Lovely staff, perfect for shisha, dinner and juices. Pity that the Galleria is so quiet because i really like it. Cheers guys!
These guys really know how to cook lamb! Whenever we come here our mains are the prune & lamb tagine, along with the lamb couscous. If we are a large group, we just order more of these 2 mains. Of course, they have decent appetizers too like the zaalouk and the machouia salad. Their harira soup is the best I have eaten in the Emiates. Their cheese briouat was too oily for me last time. They also bake their own bread, they have a great selection of non alcoholic beverages and delicious Moroccan sweets!
One thing that I find inappropriate for a restaurant though is when the music is tooooooo loud. Very challenging to have a discussion with friends then. We started inside the restaurant, but ended up sitting outside because we simply could not continue our meal with such high music.
Very authentic food to die for. Loved the decor. The staff was quite hospitable. Probably among the best places in Abu Dhabi to try on Moroccan/ Lebanese cuisine.

It was really nice experiment the food was nice as well as the place inside and out, you can feel like your in a DJ party, you can really feel that you are in Morocco, but if it be better if the women were Moroccan too .. but other than that was awesome, for me I paid for the experience and not only the food.
I ordered a chicken Tagin and my friend got a meat tagin, we both ate and had fun together hearing the music and talking to the waiters.
Diffidently going back for a visit.
We went to try out a new place for sheesha which my friend recommended. We went late around 9.30 but still it was quite full, but we dint hav to wait much which was good.
The grape mint sheesha was really smooth and the overall ambience made the experience even better. We had a few mocktails from here which were really good.
Will visit here again to try the food as it looks interesting.
I went there for dinner i had fattoush, Hummus, harrira soup, the cheese briouat (samosas), the mechooui couscos. The food was quite good the couscous in particular was delicious. The meat was tender and the gravy was full of flavor. Moreover, the ambience and the music was fun and live full, the dj mostly plays arabic music and hip ones as well. There is a smoking section too!
Fun well decorated Arabic restaurant with view of the water, excellent food and very friendly, engaging well trained staff.
Highly recommended when you have friends visiting and want to take them somewhere a bit nicer to try Arabic cuisine with a bit of a modern twist.
One of the best places where u can eat the best morrocon food. I appreciate the efforts that u r doing to make it a better restaurant for all the family members
Located on level 1 of galleria mall, Almaz draws you into a fusion of traditional and modern Moroccan decor. Table reservations are recommended for weekends. We walked in without a reservation but the hosts were kind enough to sort us a table without much ado.
We went for some of their traditional dishes along with our favourites. We ordered the Machuia and hummus from the cold mezze as starters and opted for the couscous Mechoui and mixed grill for mains. The mezze were standard while the portions for the mains were quite small. The lamb Mechoui was tender and very tasteful and was accompanied by couscous and their Salina gravy. The mixed grill was a total disappointment with most of the meat being too tough and lacking flavour. I reiterate that though the food is good in general, the portions are scanty while the price is kinda steep.
The service here is brilliant and we were made comfortable right from the get go. One of our Moroccan servers even spoke a few words in our native tongue and kept my nephew entertained at every appearance.
I do believe that their traditional dishes are worth a try and you won't be left wanting with their professional service.
The place to be if you're a fan of arabic and north african music and cuisine. Interior seating is cozy takes you through a modern journey of north african majlis. The Dj is amazing! Music from all around the world creates cool sense of belonging. Food is delicious, fresh and well presented. Staff are very accommodative and fun.
The food is North African cuisine with a twist, and delicious. The place is decorated with authentic Moroccan setting, which is my favorite. The staff are welcoming and helpful with food choices. Dinner meal is recommended at this great restaurant.
the place a very noisy but the good type the DJ guy is amazing the food is great but a little overpriced portions of food needs improvement but over all i like there foooood
Great decoration with great music lovely theme staff need to pay more attention to customers needs orders take much time to serve not bad shisha quite expensive on most of the menu items
Almaz is a Moroccan restaurant , it has two sections one for smokers and other for non smokers. In addition, the food and beverages are average. Also, the restaurant has many dining seats. However, there is no private places for families. Further, the decoration is good, but the lighting at night is bad in my opinion.
Amazing arabic ambiance friednly and smiling staff delicious food i just be used to go this place all the time you should try my favorite plc.
