(التعليق الأصلي) Excellent restaurant. Staff was friendly. Place is nice, the outdoor setting is quite lovely apart from the people smoking nearby as the seats outside aren't many. We ordered wonton soup, egg fried rice, pork belly, asahi beer and a mojito. Food was excellent: soup was nothing great for me but my wife loved it. Egg fried rice was probably one of the best I've had, the texture and the colour of the rice was very good. Pork belly remained crispy despite the cold winds outside which was impressive. Beer was nice, as well as the mojito. Sitting outside it was a bit difficult to reach out to the staff but the food and ambience was great. Considering all pros and cons I'd definitely recommend the place, hence the 5 stars. Keep it up.

(التعليق الأصلي) This is an ok Cantonese restaurant in Abu Dhabi. You can go for their yum cha during the weekend or go for a la carte and have their peking duck if you've never tried it before. If you have had peking duck before, dont order it to avoid disappointments. The servers can be quite overwhelming and anxious especially during yum cha or dim sum lunch. It's either they forget the orders and end up doubling them or they clear your table without properly checking or asking if there's still food inside the bamboo steamers. They are almost rushing you to finish and leave especially during lunch time. I personally prefer a la carte but for once it's nice to try their yum cha. Their dim sums are not the best but there's no other Cantonese in the city. The quality and taste of the food does not justify the price. Not a good value for money. Attention to details and servers' courtesy need brushing up. This is an Asian restaurant so accomodate your asian diners well and try to learn a little bit of the far eastern custom and traditions so you do not offend some of your asian patrons. Everyone pays the same so treat your customers the same way you want to be treated regardless of their ethnicity.

(التعليق الأصلي) This chic Chinese restaurant offers extensive menu of Cantonese cuisine a la cart. At the same time 3 times a week they run 3 different buffet - outdoor Barbecue on Wednesdays, Saturday DimSum, and hugely popular Friday Hot Pot. For the last one be sure to book in advance. There is very ecological way for the buffet experience as they provide you with row products and instructions to cook it yourself in the quantity you need. Meanwhile, you can order as well additional, prepared for you by cooks, Barbecue items and classic salads. The restaurant also has pork dishes on request. The drinks as lemongrass tea and fines loose Chinese teas are matching the food. The interiors are kind of fusion between British pub and Chinese style. Separate door leads to the popular Bar with extensive drinks choice. You can never miss the entrance as huge Bronze Dragon guards the hall. There is also long gorgeous outdoor terrace decorated with red lanterns at the Galleria Promenade. If you'd like to have authentic Chinese experience this is the right place.

Tried out the unlimited dim sum lunch promotion. Service was very slow and staff are not quite accommodating. Not sure if it is because we are availing the promotion only or it is their strategy. We placed our first orders and it arrived after 30 mins and was not complete. We had to wait for another 30 mins to get the missing dishes from our first order to the point that we are already full and we got nothing on our plate. Don’t get me wrong, the food was amazing!! But yes, service was not up to my expectation.

I always go for their yum cha brunch on Saturday’s! I have attended it 4 times and each time the taste of food was consistent. Everything on their menu is worth trying and they accept entertainer. So win-win in terms of price n quality of food. Their dim-sums are worthy every penny! 🥰 my no.1 brunch place in AUH.

This is my first, and i hope only, negative review about any type of restaurant. In my opinion the food was so bad that i just couldn t overlook it.<br/>Myself and my wife had the dim sum, vege springrols, vege noodles and the wok fried prawns.<br/>Dim sums had a nice truffle taste but the casing was like a long dead limp jellyfish. Very small, what a relief! Springrolls were dry like a stick, smaller than my thumb, 3 of them .<br/>My wife s noodles looked like a side order from a chinese take away in Limerick. The second worse i ve ever had. And my prawns were the absolute worse ever at a whooping 114 Dhms.<br/>Never Again,<br/>Mihail<br/>

Good food and service
Jon Wallis
Great and friendly service. Excellent for kids too. Loved the dumplings and the noodles but not so happy with our choice of Szechuan pork (too fatty) and sweet and sour shrimp.
Tony
Terrible service and a complete waste of time. “Siddhu” needs to be retrained on how to do his job.

As much as I loved my experience here, I would say the food was pretty average in terms of my flavor profile. Had the prawn and chicken dimsum and I really think the portion size could be better. Tried the Kung Pao chicken with noodles. The Kung pao ingredients mentioned peanuts however we felt it was just peanuts more than the meat which was a let down. Portion size however for main is good for 2 to share. Asked the staff for a recommended drink at this place and it was hands down one of the best cocktails I have had with tones of lemongrass and other refreshing ingredients. Unfortunately I don't remember the name. As a whole, the ambience is neat, clean and beautiful for a date night. I've heard there's amazing brunch and I'll be back to try that and other food items off their menu for a second chance 😊

Excellent food and excellent staff, i don't eat meat but theirs i really enjoy. The staff are attentive and patient. I would totally come back

The food is really good. I recommended it to my friends they came here all the way from al ain just to try the ambience and again the food was satisfying. Special mention to Ana who was so accommodating we felt comfortable and happy to be here.
Giacomo
The food is very good And ambience is nice but it is a shame from them to charge 35aed for a bottle of Sarwa water.

They had a great offer for couples on Valentine’s Day and we had heard some amazing reviews from colleagues about this Chinese restaurant. I just love Chinese food so we preferred it this time. They had 3 deals and we selected one with the help of the waiter. It included vegetable butter rice, lobster, shrimps, prawns (sea food platter). The food was great in taste and was of traditional Chinese style (not of desi or mixed Chinese food). The serving of desserts at the end was amazing and served as the cherry on top. Overall it was a great experience and amazing food. One of the staff member (I only remember his sir name something Patel) he was very rude which I personally didn’t like. Else good. Could save the picture of dessert platter only.

Great Chinese joint in Rosewood Hotel. One of our go to restaurants in Abu Dhabi for dinner or Friday brunch. Our favourite dish is the Crispy Fried Pork. It is served with Chinese buns, Hoisin sauce and veggies like a Peking duck normally would. In terms of Dim Sum, we love the beef dumpling - it’s crunchy on the outside which adds an added textural element to the bite. Another great starter is the crispy mango shrimp roll. The Beef tenderloin melts in your mouth and is wok fried with broccoli, onions and black pepper. Another main dish that stood out is the string beans with minced chicken, make sure you order fried rice on the side - the flavours go great together. The noodles were however on the dry side, would not order them again. Don’t forget to use your Entertainer vouchers!
Jonathan Milan
The specialty duck deserves a solid 5/5. The crispy pork belly is also delicious 5/5. Service was very very good and very friendly. The dim sums were good but not as fantastic as the duck and pork belly. (Chicken soup dim sum was my favorite amongst those I tried).

Chinese restaurants in UAE are hard to find at a genuine level of authenticity, and for both authentic and refined we’re down to very few options – with Dai Pai Dong taking pole position in the nation’s capital city. Like descending into a movie set, Dai Pai Dong represents fine Chinese cuisine in an exquisite ambiance, and the good Chef and his team delight with always fantastic specials!
Omar
Went for Aftari in Ramzan. A. They offered only dates to open aftari. No water juice or anything. Then you order and wait for you food. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and even then the food service was slow. Dumplings are decent. The kungpow prawns were undercooked. The beef stirfry was under cooked and chewy. We sent the beef back to be well done. It didn't arrive till the time we where done eating.<br/><br/>Honestly the prices are out of this would u pay 100 usd for two people. With water. No drinks. At this pricing you expect to be wowed. It's just very underwhelming experience. Lot better places with better food out there.

Get ready to breathe fire! 🐉 Dai Pai Dong’s new Szechuan menu is loaded with heat. That’s because it hails from a region of China that likes its food bold, flavorful and VERY spicy. 🔥 Dai Pai Dong has brought a limited edition menu featuring knock-outs like fiery wok-fried beef, pickled cabbage seabass and chili cauliflower. It’s called “From the Alleyways of Szechuan” but the restaurant’s aesthetic is far from any street side cart. It’s a quiet, dim-lit upscale venue tucked away in Abu Dhabi’s Galleria Mall. We loved how chilled out it was and especially how helpful the staff can be.The bar makes an equally ferocious drink that’s a real spectacle to mix. It’s literally on fire! 🍸 What’s even cooler (or hotter) is that the bar itself is walled off from the rest of the restaurant, making it the perfect after-work spot for intimate conversation. We felt like we stumbled across a hidden gem.

went couple of times to their brunch I wasnt impressed. i would rate it as average. the service for refills is a bit slow and taste is average. I think they can expand their selection and portions

I am a chinese who always have a true love for cantonese dim sum. I tried the Saturday brunch at Dai Pai Dong with a high expectation on their dim sum. The brunch includes less than 10 dim sums,3-4 main courses, sushi and desserts. But what impressed me most was the live peking duck. I can say it is authentic and almost the same quality as I had in beijing. For the dim sum,it was a little bit below my expectation. They are just so average that I think many other chinese restaurants in town could outperform it. The sushi and dessert are also avearge. But it is still worth to try their brunch if you want to try a variety of authentic chinese cuisines for a meal. They won't let you down.

Found a new favorite! My colleagues and I were all happy & satisfied with everything we picked out of the menu but the pecking duck is a stand out! Special thanks to Ms. Anna who was very pleasant, helpful & accommodating. Keep it up! 👍

I love Dai Pai Dong Saturday’s brunch; amazing food selection and great service! Their menu changes very often and every time we come back is like a new brunch with great surprises.

Awesome place. Amazing is a understatement for the food. Outstanding and delicious. Chicken soup dim sums are the most creative dish I have ever had.went for special occasion and they topped with signature creme brûlée. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
Thina
We’ve tried their Saturday Yam Cha Brunch and it was really good. The dimsums are amazing! The peking duck was also a must try. Service was superb as servers always check on us if we need some more of the food! Leave some space for their desserts!

0/10<br/>pappi leo is too lazy to download a great iPhone game and play it.<br/><br/>Absolutely terrible manager deserves to be jailed for 10 minutes with a freashly baked Japanese cheese cake and a matcha tea.

Dai Pai Dong will always be close to my heart and it never fails when it comes to food, ambience and service. They deserve a 3 Michelin Stars. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely evening with great food as usual. However the experienced was dulled when we used our entertainer voucher (everything was issued) when the waiter came back and said he couldn’t deduct the voucher. We had a chicken dish with rice and hokka noodles with veggies and chicken as mains (not to mention appetizers and dessert as well) and he said that the noodle dishes are not considered mains. So, what are they? Appetizers? Desserts? Price wise there is not much difference but okay. Maybe it was my mistake and I should have asked before ordering. But I wouldn’t have guessed it. The waiter at least was kind to offer to use the voucher next time for other main dishes cause it was already issued. <br/>It was disappointing that an established restaurant would do that. So anyway, this one is on my list for restaurants that doesn’t like to see discount vouchers.

Best Chinese cuisine ever had nice atmosphere clean and tidy place recommended for all Chinese food lover as it’s one of the best in capital :)

I have visited this fancy fine dinning restaurant for my husband birthday and i booked online and called them to confirm it was a celebration night. When i arrived to the place there was nothing done that makes me feel it was necessary to pre book in advance. The menu choices are not wide but the food tasted very delicious and different but with very small portion. We have ordered beef tenderloin and chicken with nuts, also lettuce wraps with chicken as appetizers. What made me rate this dinner very low despite the good food and unique location the very bad service we have received from the guy who served us without smiling or even helping us and we asked hin to clean the table and he didnt, he just removed the tissues with some food and put the tissues on the food and throwing the the check on the table in inappropriate way!!! Which made us left zero tips as nothing deserved. Also while on our way out w asked a waiter to take us a picture and she was busy and then took unclean plate and served it to a table. To be honest the service is like a 2 star hotel or less and i would not recommend this place but i gave it 3 star coz the food and the location but this is not the things we care about most. The management should look further into their team and service
Fatima
Amazing place, great food, Duck is the best in UAE and cheaper than Hakkasan. I don’t need caviar in duck. Service is always gorgeous, attended and welcome. The brunch is Amazing, always fully booked, including the corridor area. Great food, great people and great efforts. <br/>

Best xperience...employee are polite,to mention miss ana who did her best to accomodate us,even its fully booked already, they make assured that u are satisfied with their services, best dumplings...highly recomended,i will visit soon!<br/>

Great food and great ambience. We had the dim sum, pork bbq and beef noodles which were all perfectly cooked and delicious. Anna, our server made sure that we had a comfortable experience while guiding us through the new items on the menu.

The ambiance is great and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I went for the all you can eat dim sum lunch and it was definitely worth it! You can pick from a great assortment of soup/dimsum/appetizers/rice and get tea as well. The mango dessert at the end was to DIE for, it was delicious as well as the egg tarts.<br/>Ly was our server and she was the sweetest!

I have visited this place one year ago, it was a pleasant experience. I came back yesterday with my friend, it was one of WORST EXPERIENCE in the past five years here, and I am a person who like a lot to eat in restaurants and i know by heart now a great number of them in this city. Not only the food was really mediocre but also the waitress did know at all how to address in a good manner the clients, actually i did not feel at all that i was in a five stars hotel. I have been several times in the other restaurants in Rosewood and i did not encounter such a problem. I will definitely not come back to this restaurant, there are many other Chinese restaurants in this city who can provide much better food and quality<br/>

Great food for Saturday yum cha. Staff were attentive and food was excellent. Worth a visit either weekend or during the week. Definitely worth a return trip.
Hangry Cat
Yum Cha Saturday Brunch - delicious authentic Chinese food, fantastic value for money with Entertainer. <br/>Its our 2nd time and it was nice to see some changes and addition of sushi buffet. Everything was good, just wish mains was 2-3 options instead of just beef. <br/>We were served by LY from Vietnam who is super cool!
SARA
Amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff. I love their bar and the bartenders who work there, I highly recommend this place!! Go there and try their appetizers and drinks, you won’t be disappointed
Ambitious Glutton 84
The Ambitious Glutton was just introduced to the all you can eat lunch menu at Dai Pai Dong. Wow the pace at which they bring out the little bamboo baskets of steamed and fried goodness caught the Ambitious Glutton off guard, but it was a marathon not a sprint so the Gluttonous tortoise soon caught the hare and cleared the backlog of food. The backdrop of the resturant is the kitchen, where through the glass the chef and his team can be seen preparing your dish. Any dumpling that looks like a pumpkin but it's full of duck gets the Ambitious Glutton's seal of approval, but the egg tarts in the desert stole the show. The all you can eat menu is a little limited and it would be amazing to see a cheeky wee bit of pork in there being it's dim sim. But still really glad I went and happy with the food and great service. Don't forget to get valet parking validated too

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/><br/>Great dining experience, best chinese restaurant in Abu Dhabi<br/>We ordered crispy pork belly which is so good and roasted duck, some vegie and wonton soup. Execellent food and good service.
Meat&potatoes
Decent Chinese food and higher quality than most other Chinese restaurants but not a fan of the portion sizes. Have had the pepper beef with broccoli a number of times which is tasty but due to the portion size not great value.
Gab
I've been here for the lunch set menu and it was great. I personally didn't loved all the dishes but it's just my personal taste as the quality of the food was great and the person that I was dining with couldn't stop to eat! The service was very nice as well, they were smiley, attentive and sociable. It's a very nice place where to have a great time. I'll definitely come back here!

We ate here for the Monthsary of my Girlfriend and I. We expected much for this restaurant and they did not disappoint. The food is expensive but it was definitely worth it.

Went there for Saturday Brunch. We loved the pecking duck - so yummy and tasteful. Sushi was not bad with Ebi maki and ending with Tiramisu. Service is good + Leo is looking after our table.
Khurram Masud
The place is in one corner of the galleria mall. It has a nice ambience inside with dim lights and wooden interior. <br/>It appears more to be a bar than a restaurant as its very loud. A group of people sitting behind us were extremely noisy. We had difficulty hearing each other on the same table. So better avoid this place if you are looking for a peaceful nights dinner. <br/>The food we ordered came in good time and the presentation of it was not bad. The taste was average though. There are better Chinese places elsewhere that you may go to, specially if you are not too fond of excessive noise.<br/>The manager met people at every table and looked friendly. However he didn't bother visiting our table, wondering if this was to do with us being the only brown people in the restaurant. We felt unwelcomed and unwanted. With all the noise in the background, mediocre food and differential treatment, we would never visit this place again. A kind message to the manager, please pay more attention to your behavior with everyone and dont differentiate.

A good Chinese restaurant . ambience was perfect.<br/>enjoyed the moment and food.<br/>Staffs are really friendly in approach..!<br/>Nice place for food lovers
Graceamanda Quizon
They have a new menu for their Saturday brunch! They have added more selections of food and we can’t choose which one we like. We finished everything. As usual, their welcome drink is good, and the dumplings are amazing as always. Also they have Xiao Long Bao!😋
Food Bloggers
Had a great time with my family there. The manager Leo who just started 2 weeks ago was amazing. Entertaining as well as polite. The service was great. Wasn’t very please with the crispy chicken as it’s not what my taste bud likes but all the other dishes we tried were amazing!
Mary Jd
I have tried the two items and just feel in love <br/>My thing is a good mushroom mix so the efu noodles and beef sirloin got to me <br/>Dessert and tea are a good ending <br/>A bit pricey but compared to dining in ordering take away is cheaper <br/>( they add hospitality tax and other stuff )
Ajey
An impromptu visit to this place and I was so glad I went here.<br/><br/>Ambience - One of the best interior setup I have ever seen. The ambience is good for both a nice dinner with your partner or a friends get together - 5/5<br/><br/>Food - we ordered the roasted duck, roasted pork belly, dragon fury and lai chai. The food was amazing, especially the duck. Don’t forget to try their lai chai, you wont find it easily in UAE - 5/5<br/><br/>Service - Friendly staffs 4/5<br/><br/>Price - Slightly on the expensive side which is due to the fact it is in a hotel 3.5/5

I did my order at 10:10 the call center called me for confirm me the order and after called me again that the chef left from kitchen before last order they cannot take the order !<br/>

Do you like Chinese food with a twist?<br/>Very cozy restaurant ideal for groups or couples. With a lovely area outside Galleria Mall it’s a perfect scenery for a romantic dinner or a chilled meeting with friends. Can suggest you the sweet & sour soup! It’s amazing. Also they have sheesha to top up an amazing meal!
Nasusu
Dining in has always been a great expeeience at this place. Ordered food to be delivered last night and was very disappointed. The food was cold and the portions were too small for the price ww pay. The delivery boy appeared at the door with a paper based carry out bag and no sogn of a hot pack. really? keep up the standards of Rosewood Not just the price!!!
Nick Haigh
Taste amazing but soup bowl half full and rice half full. Lovely food but my concern was why such small portions
Aryash Alain
Food was so yummmmmy , friendly stuff and good place . Im recommending you guys to have meal in this restaurant and enjoy food there and quite place.

A perfect restaurant to relax....and wine and dine. Love everything about this place. Plus they serve shisha and to add to it an amazing line of asian dishes.

I was so excited to go to Dai Pai Dong after trying their Siu Mai (that’s the correct spelling, please) at Galleria’s CNY bazaar and seeing that it was on the all-you-can-eat menu online. To my disappointment, however, when I showed up for brunch, I was told now that it was no longer on the menu- despite it not having been updated online. Fortunately, the staff were understanding and cooperative. They acknowledged that it was their mistake for failing to update their online menus and compensated us with 3 portions of Siu Mai, which my party felt content with. Some of the dim sum on the menu were hits, like the corn soup, duck fried rice, while other were definite misses, like the custard bun. Cantonese food is native to me, and I felt the food served still leaned towards fusion cuisine rather than proper Cantonese food. I will consider returning!
Foodlover
been here last year but forget to review this restaurant.i just want to share how delicious the food they have from tea to dumpling which is my favorite combination.ambiance and money wise is okay.staff are friendly must say i recommend this to my friends.

Very disappointing - for a 5 star restaurant in business zone of Abu Dhabi on working days their last order is at 2:45 pm in the afternoon - been rejected to be served food at 2:50; 3:00 at least five times - Chefs just cannot leave and go - horrible service - quantity very small for the price - Management pls take note for things to improve -
Afra Ibrahim
It’s always good to try food. But this visit I was full just had a delicious crispy beef strips and lemon mohito . The spice mix with beef was something extraordinarily special. <br/>But the service was so so slow
Claire Hopkin
What an unexpected treat. Are here last night and the food was truly delicious. For Brits missing 'British Chinese' - it's as close as you are going to get. Lots of Pork on offer too which was particularly unusual for Abu Dhabi. I definitely will go again.
I AM GREY™️
The food was excellent though a little bit pricey for the portion of food they are serving. Service was good as well and the place is very relaxing.

I come to this restaurant for especial occasions. The food here was amazing. I love the idea that they serve pork also, that is perfect for a mug of beer. Perfect Asian taste. Very cool service crews. Place was field with unique Chinese style. You must try the roasted peking duck. Highly recommended to try.

Beautiful interior design. I had the dim sum lunch and I can only recommend it, was very tasty and a lot of variety was offered. Would without doubt go back!

Misleading info said they take last order at 11 when I arrived at 10:20 they told me kitchen is closed and it even says open till 11pm on zomato app

We chose to try the limited-time Yum Cha Brunch today. The place was quite crowded. <br/><br/>We chose the brunch with jasmine tea and ordered a couple of alcoholic drinks on the side. <br/><br/>We were served a wide spread of dishes ranging from pork buns, duck puffs to dim sum and bbq meats. The meats were quite juicy and tender. The dim sums though they were meant to be the star of the brunch were just normal. <br/><br/>The desserts were mainly continental and were better than the Asian ones. <br/><br/>Service was slow. We had to keep calling the servers every time to bring something. The ‘unlimited’ jasmine tea was served only at the end. <br/><br/>The place was dimly lit with a lot of Chinese decorations and an open kitchen. The music would’ve been nicer if it was oriental and not modern English songs.
Dahlia
Best Chinese food I’ve had so far in Abu Dhabi. The place is very cozy with dim light, and you can choose to sit either on low tables or high table/ bar. The service was decent and the staff were friendly. We ordered the sea bass with fried rice which tasted really great having the right amount of spices and ginger, the mushroom noodles was also very tasty. However, we didn’t like the taste of the beef tenderloin, the glazing was really good but the meat itself tasted a bit weird. Very nice experience.

Slow service and mediocre Chinese food in the heart of the financial district of Abudhabi. Beautiful atmosphere with a lovely open kitchen (unfortunately)

Beautiful decor, pleasant lighting, lovely atmosphere, very friendly service and some great drinks to look forward too. <br/>When you initially look at the menu you will be very satisfied and happy with the prices, but once the food arrives you will be disappointed with the quantities.<br/>We had ordered duck salad, Ma Po Tofu, asparagus rice and drinks. The duck salad had a different taste and was okay, but the Tofu was very oily and dint taste good. Nothing special about the rice. However the drinks were really good and they tasted unique.<br/>I surely recommend this place for their unique choices of drinks.

Having been raised in the Bay Area, one of the first Chinese enclaves in the U.S., my expectations for dim sum - and Chinese food, in general - are pretty high.  I've had everything from gourmet dim sum to street-level fare, of which this restaurant is named after, (e.g. the government-granted "big licenses" that only select food stalls in Hong Kong would have).  Now that you're armed with that bit of trivia, on with the rest of the review!<br/><br/>Ambiance:  Tucked away in the basement level of the posh Galleria Mall, this restaurant does a great job balancing the "street" feel of a Hong Kong food stall with the high-class surroundings.  In fact, the dim interior serves as almost an artistic contrast to the brightly lit hallways of the rest of the mall.  See the picture below to get an idea of what I'm talking about.<br/><br/>Service:  From the professional and friendly greeter to the wait staff, the restaurant certainly does a good job making guests feel welcome.  The servers here are very attentive and I never felt like I was ignored during the few times I dined there.<br/><br/>Food:  This is where the restaurant scored major points with me.  I visited during normal lunch hours and during the (very) busy business brunch hours.  In both cases, I was amazed by how authentic the food tasted!  The roasted duck, in particular, reminded me of back home.  Also, every dish to include the soups, the noodles, and the dim sum tasted fresh; nothing was overdone or greasy.  If you're a first-timer here, I highly recommend the braised beef!  My only gripe is the fact that there's no pork sui mai or char siu bao, but then again, I have to remind myself that I'm in a Muslim country and that restaurants here are not allowed to serve it.  It's no fault of the restaurant, however, as I understand cultural and religious reasons prevent public pork consumption.<br/><br/>Delivery:  I live too far for this place to deliver, so no comment.<br/><br/>Price:  If I had to nitpick, then it would be the price tag - it is definitely not cheap to dine here!  Be prepared to spend well over AED 100 for a filling meal.  And if you pig out like I do, it's easy to spend AED 200, at least.  Then again, quality Chinese cuisine is hard to come by in Abu Dhabi, so the adage, "you get what you pay for" applies.<br/><br/>In summary, you can't get any better for dim sum in the capital.  Dai Pai Dong is purely Chinese cuisine, which is great since a majority of "Pan Asian" restaurants tend to suffer in quality when it tries to double or triple bill themselves serving multiple cuisines.  I would definitely recommend this place if you want to impress visitors and tourists coming to Abu Dhabi for the first time!

We have been to their secret hidden bar within the restaurant . Beautiful decor with some great drinks to look forward . Must visit this place for some great experience . I have had the best ginger lime margarita from here and was super happy with their service . I have heard that their brunch is fabulous , however due to lack of time we couldn't try it out. <br/><br/>Overall experience was spectacular !!

One of our biggest struggles with a lot of restaurants around the city is getting our money's worth with cocktails. Dai Pai Dong however can safely boast to be one of the best places to enjoy cocktails specially curated to complement what can only be described as a delicious meal! <br/><br/>As we were vegetarians on the day of our visit, we ordered everything vegetarian on the menu and loved every single dish!<br/><br/>Must tries are the deep fried bean curd & the ginger margarita!

Avoid the brunch. Disappointing.<br/>Decent food at the beginning but went downhill along with the service. To try to order more of the good food took 30 plus minutes to come out and came in very small portions and they wouldn't bring enough for the table. The place wasn't too busy but the staff still seemed to be avoiding people or would disappear for a while. I ordered a small dish 20 minutes prior to the end of brunch which never came. After brunch they were taking payment and I asked when my plate would be out and the woman laughed and told me to forget it because the time ran out.. additionally there was no pork items and there hasn't been for some time.. the menu which is just a piece of paper could have easily been changed to reflect the current menu along with their website menu, but instead they keep the menu to attract customers that will pay but later be disappointed.. or maybe they just forgot..<br/>

My husband and I visited this place and we really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Since it was our first time in the restaurant, the lady who served us helped us choose and she even suggested her personal favorites. The food was great!

Came here with my wife to try their all you can eat option for 75aed plus plus<br/>We loved it<br/>Portions are small so you can order different options and enjoy them without feeling too full right after lunch<br/>Their desserts are good too. Ambience is quite

You can call this restaurant the 'Dimsum overdose'. If you love Dimsums this is the place to go to! <br/>We opted for the all you can eat Dimsum Brunch for Aed 75,which is the business lunch too. <br/>We were served with some aromatic jasmine tea to begin with, which was soothing to begin you're appetite. <br/>Our Dimsum's ranged from Chicken & celery, shrimp & asparagus, chicken bun, fried wanton, egg role, beef wantons, fried rice and more.. <br/>Our favourite was the shrimp roles and chicken bun. <br/>Don't try : vegetable role (quiet sticky and tasteless) <br/>Ambience : romantic and dimmed lights with artistic furniture. <br/>Service : if busy they lose track of guests! <br/>Addon : even though it's a part of the mall, they charge taxes on the food, so be ready to pay some additional amount on you're food.

I have visited twice at here for All you can eat dim sum. As a Chinese, the dim sum not 100% authentic. But the Dim Sum is still taste yummy and amazing. It seem like they change the menu frequently. Because every time I went it was different menu. I love the crab meat dumpling and wonton soup! This two is definitely great! The crab meat dumpling is soft and juicy! The wonton soup is same as my hometown! Definitely will visit again 👍🏻. Also it's only 90Aed for the All you can eat dim sum !

We dine here several times already and still loved the place, food and customer service! Definitely always on our list when we crave for Asian flavors.

The Culinaric Adventurer
the brunch at Dai Pai Dong is probably the best way to experience the restaurant. It starts with a welcome drink at the intimate bar and continues in the main restaurant were the mostly dim sum are presented on carts. It then ends again at the bar were one can either pick up various desserts or have them in the bar.<br/>the quality of the food is very good with taste and textures being very pleasing. Service is attentive. The brunch comes in 3 varieties: tea only for 159, nonalcoholic beverages for 209, and with wine and other beverages 259. One note for users of The Entertainer: the voucher covers the tea option, for the other options the difference will be charged<br/><br/>December Update: Service has become irritatingly slow and unresponsive. For a brunch which is claimed by a only slightly arrogant hostess to be “a very popular brunch” this may end in becoming a rather unpopular one<br/> <br/><br/>Update April 2018: Dai Pai Dong changed the format of the brunch slightly, now adding a buffet station with soups and salads, which is replacing some of the cart items. Unfortunately this is not a change to the better. The dishes on the menu for the cart have substantially cheapened down. The taste of the dishes felt also more generic. With the prices actually increased,  this brunch is becoming markedly overpriced. Higher prices for worse food, truly a winning formula...

Probably one of the worst food experiences I have had of late in UAE.<br/>The decor is decent and I always like open kitchens. The positives end there. <br/>We ordered the dumplings that were not very light. I have never had heavy tasting dumplings. We had sea bass, snapper, braised chicken, a couple of veggies, noodles and rice.<br/>Everything tastes super heavy. There was a thick coating of oil on the noodles and it seems that oil was being reused more times than it probably should.<br/>The portion size is decent for the price other than the dumplings.<br/>Service was atrocious. The servers themselves are very nice but have not been trained properly by management. While eating they are nowhere to be seen. Not once were we asked if we needed anything o how our food was. We had to hail them down several times during the course of our meal. If they brought things they forgot spoons, forks etc. The red snapper is served in a really heavy dish and cannot be passed around. They should offer to serve it rather than just plonking it down and walking off. Each time they would just put dishes down and just walk off.<br/>Do not recommend over other AD restaurants. If you are looking for high end Chinese go to Hakkasan. You'll spend slightly more. But the experience, food and service will be much better. <br/>
Mr And Mrs Brunch UAE
Dai Pai Dong, the latest addition to the Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s fine portfolio of F&B offerings was inspired by the oldest and grandest of traditions in Chinese street food, and in particular, Yum Cha. The brunch, which they tag as “decidedly different” involves the staples of drinking Chinese tea and eating delectable dim sum, dumplings, roasted meats and desserts and to us sounded like the perfect Saturday afternoon indulgence.

ordered several appetizers, duck salad, crispy duck, mixed seafood, dessert assortments, few drinks.<br/><br/> water, appetizers, duck salad, Cantonese duck and desserts were excellent, the seafood didn't taste as good as the rest, service is quite slow and drinks are badly overpriced, we paid 60 dhs + taxes for two local water bottles!!!

Nothing to dream of at all from this over pricey resto. Not the service, moreover the foods. Dont spend your money wasted for nothing. Understand maybe difficult to find resto with pork here in UAE, but trust me as Im a pork lover: USELESS! Ive been waiting to visit this place since it opened the door, and when I choose it to spent my bday celebration, it was A BIG MESS!!! Thank to them as theyre NOT allowing me sharing the ice cream Coldstone that I brought as a celebration (else they ridiculously asking for AED 200 for bringing food from outside, hellloooo??? Think maybe their own foods are superb!) we shared cake @ parking slot of Mariyah Mall. What a pity, or should I took it as a fun celebration? I choose to do the second one instead of I get more broken heart. Spending expensive foods but not satisfied AT ALL! Only the noodle saved our disaster evening. They really need to work on it, really! Sorry sounds harsh? BUT ITS TRUE! Thank you

Made dinner reservations for this place on a Saturday night. On entering they showed us to a table in a crowded part of the restaurant. We opted for one in a quieter area.<br/><br/>We were seated and immediately handed menus and a waiter came over to ask if we wanted water.<br/><br/>We then placed orders for drinks - a Tiger beer and a glass of Choya Plum Wine which I didn't really enjoy. I switched to Tiger beer instead of the wine after that first glass.<br/><br/>We then placed our order for the starters - Sui Mai which was chicken and prawn dimsum. The waiter told us that those were of a smaller portion. It was three pieces of chicken and prawn dimsum which went quite well with their sweet chili sauce and their soy sauce. They also had these tiny cute bowls to pour the soy sauce in.<br/><br/>Once we were done with our starters we placed an order for the Szechuan Pork, Braised Chicken in Oyster sauce with Black mushrooms and Chicken Hakka Noodles. We were unsure whether to go for the Kung Pao Chicken or the Braised Chicken in Oyster sauce, and after asking the waiter for his suggestion (he said the oyster sauce would have more flavour and the Kung Pao was sweetish) we went with the Braised Chicken in Oyster Sauce.<br/><br/>The portion for the Pork was small - sort of looked like an appetizer portion. Nevertheless the Pork was quite good. The Braised Chicken was also pretty good. The Noodles tasted really good but it had waaaay to much oil in it. There was more than the necessary amount of oil in the noodles. Besides that it was good.<br/><br/>We opted to have dessert elsewhere hence asked for the bill. Overall a meal for two came up to around 350+ thanks to tax. They accept entertainer vouchers which is great.<br/><br/>Overall a good Chinese restaurant to try. Something different. With cool decor. Service was excellent.<br/>

We checked out the Dim Sum brunch today and it was ok but nothing special and we missed somehow the typical Dim Sums. Unfortunately, we were sitting next to a group of binge drinking people who were extremely noisy but it was fully booked so no chance for us to get another table. Service was slow and I doubt that we received all the food on the menu. Then I asked for flying Dim Sum and suddenly the service improved. About the desserts: Green Tea pudding and green tea ice no taste, black sesame ice cream no taste either but the lemon ice cream was nice.

When it comes to Pan Asian food in Abu Dhabi.. one of my favorite place is Dai Pai Dong.. I've recently tired there business lunch and it's amazing!!! They have dim sums lunch offers as well if you like it. <br/><br/>Prefect service and awesome location. Evenings have beautiful views!!
@foodiefrombeyond
Loved the Food and Service, I was disappointed in learning there were a variety of taxes added to the final bill so be careful on that front. This place also serves the finest pork as well. Their Business Lunch is worth every penny excluding taxes!!

Dai Pai is a fine Asian restaurant that you will always want to come back and visit.<br/>It has an indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy the cosy and quiet atmosphere.<br/>Food quality is excellent. I tried the fried rice with shreded duck and it was delish. I just have a suggestion regarding the menu, it would be great if there were more detailed description for the meals as I did not know about the addition of the spring onion.<br/>The staff are very friendly and pleasant. Food was served quite fast with no delay.<br/><br/>When it comes to bars, I prefer the quiet, small, and cosy ones, but how can you find such a bar in the Capital?<br/>It's a hidden bar, and it's small and cosy.<br/><br/>Special thanks to the assistant manager Polina and to bartender Anatoli.<br/>Would love to come back again!<br/>Highly recommended:)

We chanced upon the Yum Cha Brunch on Saturday while walking the mall and decided to give it a go as the menu for the table/trolley brunch looked really yum! They had 3 packages, basic with jasmine tea, the refreshments one and the alcoholic brunch as well. We opted for the jasmine tea package and we opted for outdoor patio seating since we didn't have a reservation (or would have had to sit on the high chairs!). <br/><br/>The starters part on the menu (2 out of 3) came pretty quickly.. Bang Bang chicken and crushed cucumbers were great and refreshing for the warm day. We ate that pretty quickly and just waited around for the man with the trolley to pass by. This was when we started doubting the choice of brunch (knowing that the Four Seasons was next door with impeccable choice of eateries!). We had a lady bring us a pot of Jasmine tea and asked her when the next dishes would arrive and she fetched us some of the items (BBQ chicken buns, fried vegetarian dumpling, crispy calamari) and because we were hungry we gobbled it up and wait game again! The man with the dumpling trolley then wheeled in leisurely and stocked up our table with a variety of dim sums and dumplings and another trolley person brought some grilled sirloin that was on the menu. <br/><br/>That was about it until we looked up the menu and noticed that a lot of items from various courses were still missing. So we asked and then got the grilled chicken, some fried rice, a hot and sour soup (has to be the worst I've ever tried) and we were still missing some shrimp rice rolls and a couple of other items but it was getting hot and our appetite was killed with the slow service.<br/><br/>We then asked to be moved inside on the high chairs for dessert, which they kindly accommodated and our tea pot for refilled. We then did another 15min wait for the desserts to arrive. We were sitting right next to the service area and we saw many dessert trolleys pass by and only when asked, did they bring it over to us. The dessert selection was interesting in itself, there was honeycomb cake (interesting texture, almost rubbery), green tea pudding (pleasantly surprised!), mango soup with sago (didn't mind it), fresh fruits and Hong Kong egg tarts. There was also ice cream, but when we asked for flavours, they were unique (black sesame, ginger and tonka beans and green tea) so we asked to try all three but the brunch only allowed one ice cream per person. We couldn't decide since they wouldn't bring a tester either but eventually just brought us the 3 flavors anyway. <br/><br/>Overall, I'm a bit disappointed. Dai Pai Dong has always been on my to try list and since I don't come to Abu Dhabi often, was really looking forward to doing their a la carte menu. The Brunch was the only option and it sounded much better than a la carte but definitely not a great experience, especially service wise!

Lunch at Dai Pai Dong was a lovely experience the dim sum and dumplings were great , I wish they could offer the famous crab and sweat corn soup instead of just chicken with sweat corn <br/>But the main dishes were good and the mixed Chinese vegetables were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended

Went there for the much spoken about unlimited dimsum meal and I must say I was not disappointed. The ambience is peaceful ( though I wouldn't recommend sitting outside unless you're a smoker because the flies get a bit annoying ) the dumplings were flavorful and the food was quick to be sent out. The only kink was the attention span of the wait-staff. The floor was left unattended for 20 mins while we waited to ask for our cheque and then eventually got up and headed to the counter to pay on a Thursday afternoon with less than half the place occupied. The dessert menu is quite a let down too but luckily I was so filled up from the dimsum that it didn't really hamper my mood as I went for the dimsum solely and was not disappointed. <br/>After tax it approx comes up to 108 per person aed which is good value for money for the quality of the food! Totally recommend it.

Delicious Asian cuisine. <br/>All was tasty except ye vegetables dumplings.<br/>The jasmine tea is a delight.<br/><br/>Addition of shisha is absolutely out of context

Food is okay. Deliver potions are super small and super expensive. Portions are way bigger at restaurant. A real disappointment. Will NEVER order from here again.
