Visited Toro Toro for drinks. They have a restaurant below and the lounge is on top. The lounge is chic and gets spacious during the winters (which is probably the best time to visit TT) as it is primarily an open air lounge. The space is considerably reduced during the summers as outdoors are no longer open to the customers. The atmosphere is lively and they play good music as well. Drinks are great and moderately priced. I absolutely loved Latin lover which has to be my favorite concoction of all, spicy and fancy! Presentation of food/drinks is commendable. We ordered ceviche and chicken skewers and both tasted good. While the presentation was elaborate, the actual quantity of the food was less. Overall - nice fancy place to visit.

The ambiánce was lovely, the music and setting also very good. Our waiter was super friendly and we felt treated like guests.
The food was also amaaaazing. We had the lamb thing, very soft and well flavored meat. We also had their sweet potato fries, also awesome.
They gave us complimentary dessert because of our anniversary. We picked tres leches which was the best part of the day. Best desert ever, indescribable new flavors. 10/10 would 100% recommend if you have the money for it.

Last night went with friends squad to enjoy the Latino dances under the Cuban live band performances as they were promising in the program. But the band sang only two songs and left! Although DJ LEO was also very good, most people were willing to enjoy Cuban live performance. Venue should be honest in their notifications on night programs. And a humble suggestion: please increase the space of closed AC-terrace in summer as outdoor terrace is too humid & hot to enjoy latino nights. Gracias!
If you go to Abu Dhabi, then you should really go to Toro Toro. Amazing experience the hole dinner. The meat and all the other ingredients were fresh, and were made in a exquisite way. Enjoy a glass of wine on the upper level. The service people were specialized in every detail of the food and wines. Expect a great dinner and a great story to tell. But also expect a big bill..
Starting with the venue, an iconic place like Jumeirah at Etihad Towers will ensure to put the wow effect from the minute you will reach the restaurant. The place is authentic with marvelous cuban and latino decoration. The menu is rich from food, drinks and cigar selections. Finally, the music and the cuban band makes this place a definite regular destination.
Blown away by the food! Service and ambiance is also really nice and made for an enjoyable experience. Smoky guacamole a must try! We will be back.
Looking for a place to eat dinner in, we stumbled across Toro toro. The moment we entered the restaurant, we knew it was something different. The ambience was lit and excellent music really upped the vibes of this place. True to its name, the staff was extremely welcoming and had a great 'positive' vibe. We did try the cocktails (Brazilian Breeze) and our dinner was excellent. The memories we created there is something my husband and I still talk about when we reminisce on our Abu Dhabi trip.
Beautiful ambience, chic place, it was quite a grand entrance and our seating was the same, too..burst of colors, very Latino! The servers very friendly, not Latino though! We ordered almost 3/4 of the menu, dishes had unique flavors..my main course - tuca tuca was quite sweet to my taste, the smoked guacamole was a big hit though! The drinks are quite boring and even after requesting some changes, it failed miserably to taste any good, let alone impress!
Prices are reasonable compared to Dubai, towards the end when we were to pay, they informed us that we can’t use Zomato Gold, as we should have asked for the same at the start!! That was a downer and we spent some time arguing on this...however, the Manager was very polite and courteous and did some small adjustments.
We had a good evening here and did not want this to disappoint us!
I came across this restaurant last December and it was great. It has good music and an incredible view from the terrace. The food was good as well.
Collectively the food, the drinks, and the ambiance were tremendous. Very unique experience with Cuban band. Second time here and would return again.

Leave your car with the complimentary valet service and start a journey through the lobby of Etihad Towers all the way to the beach. Once onshore, spot the peculiar futuristic structure on the right and confidently rush in.
Picture a burst of colours, patterns, textures and elements spread in harmony across two floors, creating a Barcelona-like presence. It blew my hard to impress mind that pieces so different in the form and feel were brought together in this kooky collaboration of past and future. It was the call of the giant bell that put me back in my senses.
Nesting comfortably in a high backed chair I waited impatiently for the brunch to start. Smoothed by fruity sangria, I was ready to sample and gossip. I smiled very happily when the wide spread of cold and warm appetisers landed on the table. Guests around us seemed to be pleased with a service and very relaxed. I fell in love with the food once the taste of crunchy tortilla dipped in a lightly smoked guacamole overshadowed everything I ever tried before. A simple yet powerful dish of pure passion won me over!
The corn bread served steaming hot in a little pan, seafood ceviche with yellow curry and deliciously fresh Toro Toro salad were excellent, with a little unexpected twist of flavours. And it was just the beginning… I’ll say no more as you must visit and share your thoughts ☺

Amazing ambience, great service and delicious snacks and drinks. Short rib flatbread and smoked guacamole are highly recommended, desserts weren’t as good though.
I did my cross-training there and had the advantage of overlooking the quality and the taste of their food and beverages. It is without doubt amazing and delicious, and especially unique. It’s a big yes-yes to spend a beautiful evening or night in there, guaranteed!

Updated. Ambience - check; Welcome - check; Service - check; Food quality - check; Cocktails - check; Desserts - check. So what’s not to like. Can’t understand why the rating isn’t higher. All the starters we ordered were off the charts. The Tuna tataki, grilled Octopus, the tacos, the ceviches were incredible. The Lomo empanadas and beef rib on flat bread and smoked guacamole were ok. I didn’t like the scallop sashimi and thought it was tasteless and insipid.
The main course was a bit of a downer. The quality of the meat was mixed. The Omaha beef rib eye was very poor and I didn’t think it was medium rare as we had ordered. The US prime tenderloin on the other hand was perfect. I find their medium steaks to be a bit over done so ask for medium rare. The beef skewers were great.
The deserts were phenomenal. But the best was the chocolate fondant with ice cream made at the table. They pour fresh cream into a bowl, then add liquid nitrogen and voila the ice cream is created in front of you. Phenomenal! The milk cake was also superb minus the theatrics of the fondant. BTW the cocktails and the service was great too.
Everything is great aside from the staffs. We went there for Ladies Night, which is not actually is. They just gave out 2 complimentary drinks for Ladies but beforehand, we already called and make everything clear. So my friend reserved a table but the staff did not clarify if there's a charge which there is. So we ended up cancelling it. Then we decided to walk in and arrived before 10PM and the receptionist, is quite unhappy with us being there before 10PM not ordering anything as free drinks will only start by 10. How sad that she even approached us again to order something at least. Then waiters don't know about complimentary drinks for ladies that they need to check again and again. Embarrassing.
Nevertheless ( not influenced by that rude staff) , we decided to order Short RIb Coca Flatbread which is oh so yummy but expensive for 69/-. I do love the band and interior. We can give it a chance next time and I hope their staff will be well-trained by then.
We went last night here with my girl squad for a ladies night. Actually I personally like this place as in everything except to the receptionists cause maybe they are just knew and not that expert in hospitality . Inside even the waiter don't have idea about the exact date of the ladies Night actual there always room for improvement I've heard they are just newly open so I hope as time passed by they will learn how to treat their guests properly and equally.
As I've said earlier I loved the food we ordered a our snack while drinking the Short Rib Coca Flat Bread, it is a crispy flat bread sherredded short Ribs beef with manchego cheese and sour cream. #aMustryStarter

With Chef Richard Sandoval behind a brand that is already well established in the region, including restaurants in both Doha and Dubai, I was excited to visit the recently opened Toro Toro in Abu Dhabi (as the Abu Dhabi branch lacks a website, I’ll link to the Dubai venue, just for reference). Having missed the epic launch party the week before (many a hangover was witnessed on my Instagram feed the following day), my guest and I traipsed awkwardly through the pool deck area of Etihad Towers to reach the entrance (O signage, where art thou?). Apparently, there is an additional route by the Aston Martin showroom that we both missed, and I would encourage you to find the correct approach, rather than dodge wet towels and sun loungers. On arrival, we are greeted by two giant white bulls…and a number of senior management from our former employer, but that’s a story for another day.
Sometimes it seems there is always a new restaurant in town, but it is rare that such a major location, like Jumeirah at Etihad Towers on the Corniche, welcomes a new eatery. Toro Toro opened its doors officially just a few weeks ago, but while it is new to us here in the capital, it is already well-known in Miami, DC and Dubai. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! Where do I start? The waiters are beyond friendly, the food is so delicious I never tasted anything like it before. The creative presentation of the food AND drinks left me astonished and amazed. Would recommend this restaurant 100% everyone should give it a try.

Great food, in a beautiful location. The only problem with this place is their very slow service.. they completely forgot about the mains and served it a while later.. they're still under soft opening so hopefully they'll improve on the service bit soon.

From the minute we stepped inside until we left we had a five stars treatment loved their customer service we had so many orders but these which i can remember;
1. Smoked guacamole (must try) excellent
2. Ceviche with sea bass - yum yum
3. Short rib coca flatbread - excellent
4. Beef and chicken skewers- very good
5. Beef wagyu steak - not my favorite
6. Chicken tacosss - excellenttt

Chose this restaurant for a special occasion - 15 yr anniversary. Although it was only a soft opening, decided to take a chance.
Nicely decorated restaurant, with lots of open space, a great lively atmosphere.
Had the opportunity to try some really unique dishes. Ordered Empanadas, Cachapas, Crispy Prawns, and one skewer of chicken and beef...was ample for the two of us.
Every dish was amazing, flavorful and not over cooked. The stand out for me was the cachapas...basically a Venezuela corn pancake filled with barbacoa like meat...such a richness of flavors
We had some 'soft opening' hiccups in the beginning of our experience that initially put a damper...without getting into details, let's just say that the entire team, from the Servers to the General manager went over and beyond personally and collectively for the entire night to give us the attention and experience we were hoping for, which quickly erased the early dampers...something other venues in the region should really learn from!
Many thanks to the general manager Mr. Aziz, the restaurant manager Ameen, and the service team Gary, Joy, Camille....this has become one of my favorite restaurants and I am only looking forward to the next time I visit, which will be soon!! It is rare for a restaurant to earn a 5 out of 5 for me, but I must say the combination of excellent food, service and attention, did it for me!
2017 is the year that Pan-Latin cuisine finally exploded onto Abu Dhabi’s restaurant scene. When Dubai was going ceviche crazy, diners in the capital were limited to only one option when it came to South American cuisine and that was BU. Fast forward a year and while the bubble for all things South American seems to have burst with our neighbours in Dubai, the cuisine has undergone somewhat of a resurgence in the capital. First came the opening of Coya and now another Dubai import has opened in Abu Dhabi – Toro Toro.
Went there for drinks & bites and were seated up in the lounge/bar. Very nicely decorated and very welcoming staff. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious from the smoked guacamole and corn bread to the beef skewers and chicken tacos ... and those sweet potato fries were divine! Even their dessert was very light and delicious! Will definitely be back after their official opening as the atmosphere was a bit too quiet for a weekend night.
This restaurant is beautifully decorated with a Latin theme. The menu is not huge but had plenty of really interesting and diverse options. Many different cuisines represented such as Peruvian, Mexican, Venezuelan, etc. Tried 4 different starters and every single one was absolutely delicious. The tuna was fresh and well presented. Drink options are also varied and tasty. Beef tenderloin skewers were also a highlight. Our server Gary was so attentive and provided great recommendations. Venue has a gorgeous bar upstairs and a terrace over looking the water. Will be fantastic in the cooler months. Best new restaurant in Abu Dhabi.

Fantastic Latin Ameeican food, served with flair. The restaurant itself is cozy and elegant, with great interior design. The waitstaff attentive, friendly and interacting with the guests in natural way. Food itself tastes great and is served in an appealing way, that makes you anticipate each dish coming out. The prices are medium to high, two people can eat and have a drink for 250-300 DHS. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Latin American kitchen. It also is a great place for anniversary or a date.

This restaurant has such a nice atmosphere! Gives you a Latin vibe. Plus they have ladies night on Tuesdays which is such a great deal. Their outdoor seating is so relaxing when the weather permits. Indoor is great as well but the lounge can get a little noisy and loud when it's busy.
Got their guacamole and chips; simple item but tasty! Their sushi is great too!

Latin feel restaurant with a must try smoked guacamole which is finely presented too. Very fine interior and Cuban vibe of the bar area.Live band performs regularly. Very attentive staff that is willing to come up for recomendations and suggestions.

Has a brilliant outside seated area with some funky cocktails.
Got served by friendly waiter called Peter who was really good to us.
We didn't have food so can't comment but will definitely come back for the atmosphere and nice views.
Prices aren't cheap but I recommend a visit, perfect for post brunch.
