Especially with this c19 protocol for buffets, where it's the food attendant putting the food on your plate. There ARE many more choices like Indian mains, Tikkas, curries, kebabs, fish, etc. The star of the Iftar for me was the LAMB OOZY! The taste was exquisite, the fat was perfectly cooked melt in your mouth goodness. I've had meh to bad lamb before where the meat was so chewy & the fat gelish. Simsim's was perfection. For me, at least. And on THAT night. There were plenty of other dishes but we weren't able to taste everything. I did have some fish & salad, which were good, too. Oh, I did have a mixed meat kebab. Delicious, as well. For drinks, we had the very refreshing Sharab Tamr Hendi (Tamarind drink). Every sip had subtle layers to it: the rose taste, the saffron-like hint finishing with that tamarind sweetness. A very balanced cool drink, indeed. We capped the night with Baklavas & Kunafa. The latter, though, I thought wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. Not as cheesy, moist & tasty as one would expect from a good Kunafa. Moroccan tea accompanied our conversation as we relished the last moments of our very cool nice summer Iftar by the beach.
