It's my first visit to Shay Madhboot and I'm in love!!! Shay Madhboot is the most adorable tea shop! The service was outstanding and they really do serve up an outstanding cup of Karak. I recommend the Karak with saffron. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm in love.
Although near to closing time, the staff were really hospitable..and the good food and really great tea made for a quick but very tasty visit. Would love to go back and try other parts of the very smart menu.

One of the best shakshouka i’ve ever tried (40 dhs). Its served in a huge pan. The tomato sauce is fantastic. Karak tea is also good but too sweet for me. I give 4 stars because of the place. Actually there are no space even for 2 adults and 2 kids.

A small place but a power house when it comes to its food quality & taste. We had ordered their Shakshouka which comes with paratha or toast, the taste is really good with good quality feta cheese on top served hot. We also tried the cheese toast which is decent and nothing wrong with it. The tea is a must try and goes very well with their breakfast menu. A great place for your weekend breakfast mornings. Just that the place is so small it quickly gets filled up during busy mornings and might require some waiting period. A must try.

This place has been on our “ To go” Restaurants for about 2 years, finally we made it .
We found it a bit hard to find the restaurant, as the name of the restaurant was written in Arabic .
However we loved the experience, the food and the Saffron Karak were too good .
My wife and myself usually have breakfast only on Fridays, and this place is going to be our regular Friday Breakfast destination henceforth.
We had the Shakshuka and the Lahm dish with some paratha. The portions sizes were huge and tasted yum.
We would be coming back next time for their signature French toast.

Turkish Eggs: I took a while to dig in, it was that beautifully plated, a bowl filled with greek yoghurt topped with garlic,olive oil, chilli flakes, dill leaves and poached eggs.
Mashallah! That was a sight.
First bite and I was delighted! So many flavours subtle yet significant.
Staff had asked whether we want to go for bread or porotta, we went ahead with Bread, it was perfectly toasted.
Menemen:
Star of our brunch, it was so creamy perfect dish which was light, juicy scramble of tomatoes and eggs with spice.
To go with we had porotta (the best porotta i have ever had in Abu dhabi, trust me you guys, I wonder why don't people make porotta like these.)
Porotta was very flaky and tasty, not at all like the conventional rubbery and chewy porotta available in most restaurants.
Try it ...and you will understand what I am saying :)
Karak Chai:
Do I need to say that it was indeed perfect, can't believe this beverage of Indian origin has not only embraced but also perfected by this local joint. It has a very unique flavour. Loved it to the core!
Service:
It was good, I believe we were an early customer for breakfast with a growling stomach so we felt a little bit of wait. But it was worth it.
Ambience:
The moment you enter the space, you will see a wall filled with polaroid photographs of instagram pictures. Very beautiful set up. Do not forget to carry your camera and click some good shots.
Price:
Totally worth it, thanks to Zomato gold.

Indeed a hidden gem in the emirate. Highly recommended for Arabic breakfast lovers. Cute interiors, friendly service and go to place for tea sessions with friends. The Instagram wall is a unique concept. Try out the vimto mojitos for a refreshing drink this Ramadan.
The food is good I order which is it the picture it’s very nice , and one with avocado with toast also good, the staff are friendly and welcoming, but the atmosphere it’s need more to make it good also the place it’s small with 3 small tables and one big.
Amazing breakfast, arty shakshouka, foul like my grandma makes it, and my favorite thing about this place is they don't rip you off with overpriced tea so you can get your fill without feeling ripped off. Def an all time fav

This place is very cosy, warm and super instagramable. I usually come here to read or catch up with friends, I find the earth tones of the decor and the ambience very relaxing. Love the zafraani kadak - very smooth and delicious.
Food is always great here, but be patient with the service. It a little slow sometimes. We always come here for a weekend late breakfast, staff is friendly and what can I say, their cheese parathas and karak tea never let me down

One of the best chaai places in town. My friends and I used to come here all the time in the mornings before our classes. We were also huge fans of their cheese paratha sandwiches. Such cosy place and the abundance of glucose biscuits they serve makes it the perfect place to hangout with loved ones.

Lite food on menu, something you can have anytime in a day. Karak tastes great, usually it's too sweet everywhere but this one was just how a karak should be. Order (meal only) takes a little bit of time to prepare, but the place is nice to come and sit for sometime. Hope they expand to another branch soon for karak lovers.
Love the place, love the staff, love the food, love everything about the restaurant. Although its a small place but I am a huge fan of this restaurant now. It seriously felt like home a cozy corner of your house.
What I ordered:
1-Chilly cheese toast- were to die for, yummiest toast ever ever ever. A must must try! Trust me you will enjoy it a lot
2- egg porotha- it was yummy too, you can add whatever you want to in the egg they have a lot of options from which you can choose.
3- Moroccan tea- i am in love with the Moroccan tea they have kept on going and going and going but it was light and enjoyable.
4- Shay Madhboot tea- they have their own speciality in tea. Loved it.
In all the total was 41 Dhs for 2 people of what i ordered. Very yummy, affordable, and enjoyable.

The food menu of Shay Madhboot is small but includes a great choice of beverages and snacks. The new addition to the Breakfast menu also includes Menemen and Bento Breakfast. The signature Shay Madhboot tea is spot on and served in an earthen cup holder with few biscuits. We often opt for their Porotta cheese Omlette which is a perfect accompaniment for the Shay Madhboot tea or Mint Sulaimani.

Moving on to their new additions, we have tried their Bento Breakfast which includes two porottas and three side dishes of lamb, eggs and smashed beans. Although the dish seemed heavy for one person, it tasted good. The lamb was tender and outstanding.

I tried the signature tea it tasted really good. I'm pretty sure its the best one I've had in Abu Dhabi. Their orange juice was also nice and freshly squeezed without any added sugar. I liked their chilli cheese toast the best. Although its a simple dish they actually prepared it really well.
I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or tea.

Yes i ended up just taking one pic beacuse I was so eager to dig in and couldn't resist. If you haven't tried the Shakshuka and the kakarak at this cosy and cute little place, You are seriously missing out on some good breakfast. But don't worry.. this is a all day breakfast place. So head over anytime to have a really good piping hot Shakshuka served in a cast iron pan along with hot hot Barottas and your karak. What more do you need for a lovely day!???!!.. The shakshouka is very traditionally prepared and messed around with. So expect to expect that good old home made feel when you are eating. They also have a wide range of options in there menu which I haven't tried yet because Shakshouka is life. haha... :) But await further reviews about this place.. and Do your self a favour and go have that Shakshuka.
On a side note. it's a cosy and a small place so go early or have them to take away your food. But I highly suggest to try it in house so you can have it piping hot.
I stopped in to Shay Madhboot for Saturday morning breakfast. The decor was delightful. I ordered the signature karak and chili cheese toast. They were both delicious. The cheese toast was hot and fresh and the tea was a joy to drink. I will definitely return to this gem of a neighborhood cafe.

1. I had the tea and poached egg parotta. The tea was really nice and I got some biscuits on the side. The parotta wasn't the best as I had expected the poached egg to be runny rather than well done but I would still say it was good.
2. My friend ordered the mint tea with lemon requested on the side (being extra af). My friend was content with his order as well.

Breakfast of champions! It's so sad that they're selling the place, as I only just found it! Very chilled atmosphere, and the space is tiny so if you're going in a group, make sure to let them know. We had a variety of dishes with some parata bread. That was a good way to explore what they had to offer. We had the baked beans, omelette, shakshuka, chicken liver, dried meat curry and hot drinks. Theor karak is amazing! I absolutely loved the Turkish coffee, as well as the Moroccan tea. I mean, I can't fault the food, seriously. The service was OK, really sweet family.

But every once in a while, you want a cup of karak that lets you have your tea and Instagram it too. Something you can’t really do double-parked at a storefront that looks like it hasn’t renovated since 1999.

We went there for the first time and we tried couple of things (shakshuka , sausage and egg , cheese egg prata sandwich and of course their signature kark tea) the food was great especially the shakshuka, it is must to try.

Shay Madhboot, a cafe located on the Murror road- little away from Main road, however with the help of GPS we can explore this small cafe.
In One sentence its better to say , it's a small, cute and wallet friendly cafe without much rush. Best place to have a tea peacefully with the sound and noise.
We started with vimto mojito (aed 6), this taste is best for people who loves Vimto, I like Vimto a lot, so I basically love this taste for my hubby this was not his cup of tea.
We tried Saffron Tea (5 aed) served with biscuits, I got a good aroma and flavor of saffron, for me the level of sugar was slight up, so better tell your preference before they serve.
we tried to order the French Toast and liver from the menu ; unfortunately these are my favorites which I wanted to try from the menu however it was unavailable that time.
One thing I love here is they had good Porotta options, we tried Poratta with nutella and oman chips filling, those were very yummy, I believe they are making the best Porattas, very soft and large ( Aed 6 & Aed 8) and also another delicious dish I can recommend is chilly cheese toast (Aed 15) .
then we had half fry eggs with bacon (Aed 20), this was good - nothing much to be praised, and the Shakshuka (Aed 35) served with Porotta is one of the signature dish of Shay Madhboot, if you are visiting here do try this one you will love it, the sauce is extremely rich tangy and creamy very less spicy even the kids love this.
Overfull we had a good experience except for the unavailability of our favorites.
