Having to dine for the nth time here at Sushisan is always like a first time great experience...top favorites would be the seaweed salad, wagyu beef, green tea ice cream, cheese cake and dynamite shrimp...and how you will forget the mix ceviche...kudos to a friendly and vibrant attendant Eva as a special mention as she makes dining more fan and very homy with her enthusiasm with the rest of the team. Having experienced both the lunch and dinner buffet wherein it is served as per the menu list in front of you lets you prepare your gastronomic imagination of what will be served the next! Definitely a perfect place for all sushi lovers with a touch of other asian delights like spring rolls, calamari and fried sweet potatoes siders (which i love soooo much). Indeed highly recommended and will keep coming back with friends for a great food and chit chats! By the way.. please always include in the desserts menu the "turon" partnered with green tea ice cream which is a bomb!
Spending our Valentines dinner buffet here was the best choice! #bereadyforafoodcoma #greatplace #greatvalueofyourmoney
Visited SushiSan yesterday for Friday Brunch and will definitely be going back! This was my first visit, and I was pleasantly surprised by the feeling of space in the restaurant, despite being almost fully occupied. The staff were very polite and welcoming, and it was great being able to see the chefs at work.
The brunch itself consisted of a starter plate of soup and appetizers, followed by a mains platter, and completed by a dessert plate of ice cream and pastries The servers also offered additional speciality mains on serving platters, throughout the main course. The sushi pizza was totally unexpected, however it really worked very well, and had excellent taste and texture. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience; comfortable, relaxed surroundings with delicious, quality food which was well presented. Will certainly be visiting again!
I was with a friend for ladies night yesterday and it was just amazing. They had a yummy vegetarian platter which was delightful with the Chardonnay wine. The service was just perfect! I will definitely revisit!
As a Japanese food lover, I make sure to get the best Japanese restaurant that serves authentic Japanese food and that's where Sushisan came into view as a result of our searching for the place that could satisfy our cravings of sushi, sashimi, sake etc.
The place doesn't only served a variety of delectable Japanese cuisine, but also offers a quite cozy and amazing place with a bunch of very friendly and peculiarly affectionate staff. Indeed, remarkably great experience.
Amazing food plus amazing place plus amazing staff equals amazing dining experience. 👍👍
The place was great (and clean).. the food also was delicious tasty and fresh.. and the wine was great also.. but the pace closes at 10pm.. wish it was later
Had a nice experience in Sushi san 👍🏼 very delicious food
This is one of the best sushi place I have been to in Abu Dhabi. Even if you come at 10PM, they give you such an amazing and fresh sushi. You feel your money is worth it. I am definitely coming back here. I highly recommend this place for sushi lovers!

There are not many good Japanese restaurants in Abu Dhabi so I try to visit them whenever I can to get a taste of Japan. Sushisan in Holiday Inn is an interesting restaurant as they bring you some classic items along with a modern twist on several of them. The restaurant itself is nicely decided, brightly lit, beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming.
Thursday Brunch
It's been a while since my last review.
We visited tonight the SushiSan for their Thursday brunch.
For e bit unusual to go on a Thursday evening for brunch but I gotta tell you, such a shame we haven't went earlier.
The restaurant had a pretty good crowd. We arrived a bit late but we still got a very nice table.
The atmosphere was very relaxed, not cramped or rushed - just as we love it.
For the size of the restaurant the buffet was really good. You had selection of salads, fruits, shooter glasses with Japanese inspired gazpacho (if you wanna call it that way) tempura vegetables, dim sums, soup and a Wide variety of sushi display.
I love that they had their sushi on a buffet, I heard they used to have tick cards (sounds for me a bit complicated an time consuming) however it was so easy ro just pick the sushi you want. The fish was certainly fresh and you tasted it! Some very interesting and new flavors that we haven't had before.
The waitresses (May and Mony - I hope I spell their names correctly) we're so nice and accommodating.
This is a place we certainly will return to!
Good friends told us, that their new menu is on the way as well!!
That's an easy 5 out of 5!
We had Tuesday Sushi Night. They have a set menu which they serve from top to bottom of the list. You can re-order the food again and that's what i like about Sushisan. Salmon Tartare is a must-repeat order 👌🏼 The rolls are well-prepared and very tasty!! Mumi took care of us, she is also serving spring rolls, chicken fillet and some sushi rolls which are not listed in the menu. The savory food was complemented with mocktails that Mumi has made for us. Finally our dinner was ended with carrot cake with exact sweetness that we want. Definitely will come back to dine again in Sushisan 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I just literally left the restaurant and i would say it is a fabulous place to eat. Today is their Tuesday sushi night which means no ala carte is available. they have a certain menu for the night and it will be refillable.
As appetizers, we had ramen, salmon tartare and vegetable tempura. i love the two priors amongst the three that I had a second serving of.
main was a mixture of sushi that instantly filled my tummy together with a platter of sashimi and as my friend said “their sashimi are so good it doesn’t have the fishy smell and taste” and i would say it is true as the salmon and tuna melts in your mouth.
for the desert, we had a nougat cake with macaroon on top which is not too sweet the way i liked it.
too bad though i didn’t get a picture of everything because we were savoring every taste of it.
will i come back? at and affordable price with bubblies? Oh definitely! I will even come with more friends for sure.
Visited on 27/3/19 and ordered (a) #creamylobster (AED 42.35) at @sushisanad - Sushi filled with lobster, scallion, mango, cheese, mango and aspharagus and decorated with sesame dressing. The taste of mango supercede lobster's taste but doesn't matter bcoz overall its taste good. My PmP rating for this one is 4*, and (b) #dynamitetempuraroll (AED 42.35) at @sushisanad - Signature sushi roll consists of tempura shrimp, spicy mayo, aspharagus, cheese, ikura and placed on each one is a slice of avacado. I enjoyed it so definitely recommend this signature dish. My PmP rating is 4.5*.
