Food is definilty tasty specially the lumpiang shanghai. The best shanghai ive tasted here in uae. The taste is close to my favorite restaurant in china town.
Like every review here, the only major complaint is that their delivery can be slow. But the food and price is really good so we just keep coming back to it.
Tried the first time although a bit concerned about the number of reviews complaining about serving time. Luckily had a very good experience. Came on a Saturday around 1 pm,i it was pretty empty and the food came out on reasonable time. Lumpiang Shanghai was a very good decision, OK fried chicken needed more seasoning, canton chicken was OK but the sweet and sour fish was a bit suspicious when it came totally soggy unlike freshly fried fish fillets in sweet and sour sauce. Overall it was a nice lunch with a very reasonable price. Will definitely come back
Always the best filipino restaurant in Abu Dhabi. Friday afternoon is the buffet ! I ordered some sigsig also which was delicious.
this restaurant was serving delicious food especially the shanghai plus pansit the staffs are nice but one thing i want to add was they should improve the serving time but all in all 👌
They are consistently late which means you can easily fix this by ordering ahead by an hour. Simple as that. The food, the value, these are all worth the hassle. Their flavor has been consistent for years. You can never find any other pinoy resto in auh that serves these tasty dishes (looking at you lumpiang shanghai). I just wish that they would also open more branches to reach other areas like Mussafah. But seriously, just order ahead of time.

I love fish sinigang in this restaurant. Best combination with jasmine rice. Service is little slow.

Food is gastronomic in a sense that it would take you to Binondo (Philippines) figuratively. #BinondoFeels The ambience may seem old fashioned nonetheless the food will make up for it. It was worth every dirham.
Must try: yang chow fried rice. We'll definitely come back to try their other dishes.

If you are thinking of having chicken spring roll,I strongly prefer Oriental Korner Chicken spring roll and their special yummy sauce.I recommend to order small spring roll.
Ordered home delivery many times. The best chicken shanghai (fresh and tasty) 👌🏻 beef nilaga, sweet and sour beef/fish also good, but less sauce. Kare kare is also good, meat is tender (except the bagoong) better have your own.

The food was great. We ordered lumpiang shanghai, beef sweet and sour, chicken siomai, pancit lomi and seafood fried rice. It really taste like we are in Philippines. Very authentic. I recommend this place if you are craving for some Filipino food.
I just love all of their food esp the pancit and fried lumpia.❤️ But you have to call them to place your order in advance, at least 45 mins before you arrive. 😬😬😬

All the food here tastes, good. Shanghai rolls here are the best I had ever. Delivery service is very poor, and it takes long time to be delivered.

Service- it was 5/5. They are very attentive and very friendly.
Food - 5/5. We love the Shanghai and rice meals especially the fish fillet with sweet and sour sauce.
Serving Time - 1/5. They lack awareness on informing their customers that we need to wait atleast 30 minutes. This is the bad thing. You need to wait a bit longer for your food.

This is my favorite Philippines restaurant. I used to eat here since 2008 when transfered to abudhabi from Dubai.. The food was quality and tasty.. Those pictures is all my favorite food missed bulalo soup.. Kare Kare, the meat was so tender bagoong dipping it match with this. Egg fried it just simple home cooking egg rice. Kaldareta kambing was good mostly if i request for extra spicy , bulalo was huge in portion, fresh and amazing taste, lumpia Shanghai is the best part since 2008 they never changed their quality.. Superb, one more favorite is adobong chicken liver but today visited I did not order. The buko pandan was great too
.Yes there is an issues with the speed not with the service. Server just ok.. The thing is they are over loaded.. Kitchen team looks so tired and server try to smile.. The restaurant always pack.. So I ve to be prepared for food delays.. Then I have no issues with that because I know what will happen.. The quality food bring me there and talented Philippines food chefs are inside.. I will be there for sure but to revise the rate need to improve the speed.. Welldone
This is the best restau in town so far, at least for me, in terms of filipino taste, serving, and price.
If you're new to this restau, you will feel upset waiting for your order. But for me, which is a regular customer, i know exactly how long they prepare so i have to prepare my tummy as well.

Honestly you will underestimate this once you enter this restaurant. For me ambiance is not fabulous staff is not presentable and very slow service as i speak. But this restaurant is always jam-packed of customer. Tables are always occupied, because of food they served. They served typical filipino food but taste is very good. Price is reasonable.. But they failed in what you called CUSTOMER SERVICE..
Oriental korner has been one of my favorite restaurant. They serve mostly filipino comfort food. They are famous for their lumpiang shanghai ( spring rolls). Aside from lumpiang shanghai i would recommend also to try their pancit mix (miki-bihon), yang chow and crab meat fried rice and the O.K. fried chicken. But you will never get wrong if you order anything in their menu since their food is really tasty.

It's a worth await this restaurant never disappointed us whenever where dine in together with my wife. The food really great with reasonable prices great variety of filipino asian cuisine. At first I am dissatisfied about the timings of the food but if you consider the quality of the food being served it will definitely indulge dining experience the taste and quality of the food. For sure we will come back and recommend to my friends.
First thing this resto never failed me for a sumptuous meal every time I'm eating there. Ironically, the waiting time for the food to be served is taking forever. But it is a reward once the order was served. Thats why im giving them a passing score since they did a great job in their menu but they need to work out on the waiting time for the customer.
I was expecting them to deliver my food for 3hours waiting time so I ordered with the risk waiting very long.I ordered Yangchow rice, lemon chicken, and beef with oyster sauce. I asked the food taker how much time it will take to deliver at my place here in Electra St. and she said 1 hour.
They delivered exactly 1 hour. I got my food around 9:30pm. 🙏. The price is perfect for the food quality and portion, this is for 2-3 people of my eating caliber. I find it really good and tasty! I will try it again for sure.
I guess ordering on tuesday helps getting ur food faster. 😜😋😋😋
Excellent food menu! We always make a reservation an hour earlier to avoid very loooong queue, so as soon as we ge there, the food is ready 😘

Had late lunch or rather very early dinner at Oriental Korner. Food was served fast (please do pre-order) and piping hot. loved the Bangus Belly Sinigang and their lumpiang shanghai. Place offers authentic Filipino food and a dash of Oriental foods.
This resto might offered a slow service but their food is really good. Prices are affordable. Tip: you can pre-order before coming to dine. Best for me are lumpiang shanghai, OK fried chicken, lomi, and beef tapa. Must try!
Happy to find this restaurant nearby my place. Food is good. But if you will order the food you want, you have to wait 20 to 30mins max, because they are cooking it all fresh as you ordered. Overall experienced here is nice, while waiting for our food, we tried the ube or yam that can be found on their fridge, that taste so yummy and delish even their buko pandan is good, not that sweet but creamy.
If you are looking for inexpensive but good home cooked Filipino food, this is the place to go. There is a large menu with a variety of choices from soups such as Bulalo, noodles including all types of Pancit, and dessert. The Bulalo has a good portion of veggies and plenty of meat. There's much more as well. My husband and I like their halo-halo. The portion isn't big like Chow King but is just right to not leave you feeling overly full. Their flan is homemade as well and is delicious.
Plan ahead though, the wait is at least 30-45 min. The restaurant is busy with friendly staff but don't expect to have your water filled when half empty. The service is suffice and friendly but we come for the food not the pampering. We come back here every 1-2 weeks. They deliver as well but The food and portions are not as good as sitting in the restaurant.

Oriental Korner is our go-to place when we feel like eating Filipino dishes. Our usual order usually comprises of inihaw na spare ribs, lumpiang shanghai and pancit guisado/ lomi. And you would wonder why there is no rice, a Filipino meal staple. Because we rarely dine in. We order the food half an hour or so before picking it up. Unless we are not so hungry and are willing to wait for a maximum of an hour for the food then we do dine in. But that is on rare ocassion because parking is also a problem in the area.The place is nothing fancy but bustling with ordered chaos. The usual chatter of the diners fill the place up unlike the air-conditioning which only cools particular areas in the restaurant. The tables remind me of furnitures in the province that are too heavy and bulky for a busy restaurant. The attendants, impressive because they rarely use notepads to take your order they just memorize it and write it later. That's quite a feat considering that they are bussing plenty of tables. The food are priced reasonably. For a mere AED 100 you are already dining like a king perhaps bring home some leftovers too. Taste wise, its good enough for us. Although we haven't tried everything on the menu, but we can say we already have our favorites which we continuously buy for take away.
this place is a 100% percent filipino cuisines with a touch of chinese as well. its just that due to a huge number of customers coming to this place, serving time of the foods will require great of your patience. it will took about half an hour or more for them to serve your ordered foods. hence, the wait is still of worth! foods were served hot and fresh, that might be the reason of this delay. but sometimes if you wish to come on hours afar from rush hours or weekend period, serving comes a bit swiftly. anyways..food experience still is awesome!

Food is great, with reasonable prices, may not be a posh restaurant but you'll definitely love the experience plus parking is free (basement) for the next two hours if your bill is AED 100.00 or more (Just have to get it stamped and signed by the cashier). I think they cook as you order, because the food is still warm when they serve it, BUT, the service is really VERY SLOW. It would take you 15 minutes (depends on the influx of customers) to get a seat and around an hour (more or less) before you can finally enjoy your meal. Plus, the place is crowded especially on weekend nights.

Back in August of 2015, I rated OK a measly 2.5 based on a disillusioned taste bud. This is an update effective late 2016~onwards 2017
OK has bounced back. The food still takes a bit of time as it's actually cooked, but won't take half your lifetime and cause an ulcer before it arrives at table. And yes, the flavors and good home cooked quality cooking are back.
I love the Lomi served steaming hot and they have these simple but filling budget/combo meals that are actually well combined to compliment. And the rest of the menu have brushed up too. At least the quality has (if not the menu booklets). 🤗🙏
But the lomi keeps me coming back. This simply brings the spirit of comfort back into a weary soul and empty stomach. A bowl is good enough for 3 or 4 hungry persons (in our case 1starving female being me, and 2 males with healthy appetites😂).
The serving crew are attentive and quick to see to your needs and the serving sizes and quality are worth the wait. Worth the money and time, I go to OK when I want real solid Filipino food and dont want to be dismayed.

Used to love coming to this place although its not for the decor or uber excellent food. two years back the taste and balance in seasoning was just right. Then I guess they changed cooks because all of a sudden the kare-kare sauce turned bright yellow and lost its creamy peanut buttery taste and the pancit canton started to thicken up and didn't feel right. Plus, even from before, you always needed to call your orders 30 minutes in advanced or reserve for a table AND order in advance.
Get there without pre-ordering in your semi-starved state and you'll want to cry. Food can take long as for years, its been the only option of Filipinos within Abu Dhabi. Food is no longer that much of a representation of tasty, Filipino dishes you can proudly invite other expats to try out. Need to brush up and liven up the kitchen and menu.
