Items are really rich and delicious..
Packing was not good
Had a sudden craving for south indian. This place didn't disappoint. The food was amazing.
A small costly joint behind Royal Rose Hotel. I have tried their dosas, gravy dishes and Indian Chinese dishes in the past.
Yesterday again I went and it was devoid of crowd, unusual to this place but that is how most dine ins are.
Tried their Ghee Masala Dosas, crisp with generous filling just like the way I wanted it to be. The bisi bisi(hot) Sambhar and the two type of chutneys were fitting accompaniments.
A good value for money place, and definitely calls for a delivery or dine in.
Few recommendations if you decide to try the food here:
Ghee Masala Dosa
Dip vada Sambhar
Dip Idli Sambhar
Onion Rava Dosa
Have been eating from the day I came to Abu Dhabi. An economical vegetarian restaurant that you can go for in Abu Dhabi without no doubt. Their thalis are really good with variety dishes. Chilli Paneer, Paneer Dosha are my favourites.
Tried their food many times and still need to go.....
A small restaurant with economic pricing and yummy food.....
Must try......
Absolutely love this veg spot and this is coming from a true blue non vegetarian like me. I was blown away by the masala dosa the first time I ate here. There was no turning back since then. Swagath has become our go to place for everything vegetarian. From the masala dosas, vadas, gobi Manchurian.. Everything is yummy as well as pocket friendly here.
This is one of the good South Indian vegetarian restaurant... Pocket friendly when we compare with Sangeeta... My usual order is dosa and filter coffee... Quality is food and friendly staff
Good food and nice taste.I had tried masala dosa and it’s served well with chutney and sambhar.Nice chutney and also cheaper in price and closer to Zayed first road
This place is a definite value from money and utmost relish to taste buds and tummy. The menu is almost complete with all well known South Indian dishes. Service is quick and food is fresh.
They serve breakfast menu from 7 am to 2 pm and other menu items thorough out the day.
My personal favourites are idlys, upma and rava masala dosa. Plus coffee!
Filter coffee was not available but bru wasn’t bad.
We had a tummy full breakfast for AED 60 only!!!!!

A wonderful low profile vegetarian restaurant. Their dosas, poori bhaji, chilli porotta, vegetable keema and vadas are delicious and remind of the typical south indian food.
They have amazing drinks too. Filter coffee, pista milk, tea and the juices are amazing too.
One of the best south Indian Veg restaurant, their Dosa's, mendu Vada n Kaanda vada is must try. Don't forget try their tea as it's one of the best sada chai in uae.
One of the decent places for full meals. Really not a fan for their breakfast items. Only good thing is they serve food anytime of the day..
A good Collection ofSouth indian Vegetarian foods available their Upma and Dosa have to be on the mandatory order list and their delvery was also good and they have a agoof family dine in option available.
Best south Indian food at cheap price. Tried their chilli poratta and ghee dosa, liked it very much. The only problem is that there is only a few seatings for family. Their vada was also good

A very good restaurant if you are looking for vegetarian food and it is well within in the budget with great quality of food. It’s a Tamil restaurant and if you love South Indian dish this is your place. Had been here several times and their service also is really good. Coffee here is really different and it’s a must try if you are visiting this restaurant.
Great quality as well as quantity food, friendly service at low cost. Typical Tamil Nadu style food. Especially that Red one.... I prefer to go...
Mini thali is so large & full, just loved it! Affordable price, clean and neat restaurant, friendly staff.. Over all a good experience.. A must go for their thalis..

Food is fresh and good, value for the money - friendly staff. Had breakfast and lunch many times - I am a Tyco staff, lucky to have the restaurant closeby.
This one was go to restaurant for South Indian food at Abu Dhabi. Dosas is really good. They serve different variations of sevai. South Indian thaali is good but not great for the price.
One of my favourite restaurants to grab some south indian food. Usually order the dosas , this time I tried out their thali which was pretty good. All in all, good value for money!
When we first stepped in, we were surprised to find the restaurant was almost full. Considering their very reasonable pricing , the food is good. Can opt for South Indian snacks in case you are not really hungry. We ordered wheat dosa, set dosa, meal, vada, mini idli and buttermilk. My hubby is very particular about chutneys, he liked it here. Vada was the best , it being prepared fresh and hot for us.
This is my favorite place for breakfast! Normally I eat dosa, idly vada, puris bhaji etc, Good taste of food and more than that great staff ! Value of money ! Cheerrrrsss !
Swagath is a small but clean restaurant.we had gone thereafter as we were in that area and zomato has good rating of it.we ordered 3 masala dosa and sambar vada.surprisingly the food is good waiters attentive and taste is value for money #bbcgfsdxb #inuae
One of the best south Indian food restaurant in Abu Dhabi.
Well maintained taste of South Indian food, specially, Dosa, Idly, Vada, Uppma, Pongal at the breakfast time. And for lunch the best is the thaali with vegetable briyani, gives the home taste and remind back home. Don't forget to try onion pakoda, similar taste as it's in Chennai savories shop.
Surely visit whenever visit again to Abu Dhabi and will recommend to my friends there.
This has been here for quite some time... used to go there when I was a kid.. all these year and the place hasn't compromised on the quality of the food here.. weekend the place is packed even though there are many other veg. Restaurants around..
Great place to have a veg meal... good quality nice taste and of course reasonable rates.. oil less puri, masala dosa, Ghee dosa and idili yumm.. and don't forget south indian coffee.. 😍
A good vegetarian restaurant. A bit crowded, but quick service and good food. Affordable and a good place for a quick bite. I love the Masala Dosa here.
South Indian restaurant.
Breakfast is good.
Very nice dosa u will find hear.
About thali is nice taste.
Most of the time I order masala dosa its good taste.
One of the good south indian restaurant serving pure veg in town...their breakfasts are ok...thali is good..though they can improve...staffs are friendly...best part s u get lunch even at 3 30 pm and get to read Tamil newspaper;)
Swagath welcomes you to a simplistic family-friendly setup which is not bad at all considering how easy it is on your wallet. The compact menu is all vegetarian Chennai-style with some Karnataka borrowings.
The basic starters I vouch for at restaurants offering this cuisine type are the Idlis and Vadas. The Idlis were fat and fresh but could have been softer and fluffier. Vadas were small but crisp and crunchy. The Poori Bhajji comes with 4 small pooris and the bhajji provided is decent. My picks from the menu would be the ‘Podi’ Dosas, all of which contain a peppery spice added to the masala and dosa batter and Mysore Bondas. Steer clear of the Paper Dosas and don't expect the traditional crazy long dosa roasts to come your way as the size of those is disappointingly small here and are extremely thin.
Desserts though on the menu are never available, some of which I would love to try especially the Mysore Pak. The service is good and I am yet to try their Veg. Thali as I have not been to this place at lunch time. It’s a good restaurant, on the whole, for vegetarians and seems hygienic too.
Swagath is definitely South Indian food at its very best. At most of these places I order the masala dosa which I feel is the only item on the menu for me to judge a South Indian restaurant. The masala dosa comes with two types of chutneys and little quantity of sambar. I must admit the Masala Dosa was perfect, I would have liked some more of the ghee flavour to linger on. But it still does gets my vote. To complete the meal, I ordered the medu wada which was was crispy being just off the fryer. And it just added that comforting factor which was needed by me to make me go back completely satisfied.
I would definitely go back to Swagath to satisfy my taste buds.
Swagath Chennai Restaurant is a very good place for vegetarian foods. They prepare tasting foods and good place for relaxation and value for money and customer service is also good.
