this restaurant welcomes you with smile and welcoming local words, there food portion is big and generous, the Freej Swaileh Breakfast has small portion of a lot of variety so if you don't know what to eat then that's your choice (^_^), their Ragag with milk and honey is something strange and delicious that I am requesting every time I go there regardless there Karak is the talk of the table with good portion and beautifull aroma.
مطعم فريج صويلح غني عن التعريف في الكويت,الحين فاتح في ابوظبي مدينة خليفه, يقدم وجبات كويتيه و اماراتيه بعد تجربتي لهم عدة مرات لاحظت انه افضل شي لو تروح لهم على الفطور لأنه تنويعة الفطور عندهم جميله و غنية تشبع الجوعان, دائما افضل بتجربة الكرك بالزعفران و الرقاق بالحليب و العسل

اليوم زرت فريج صويلح للفطور وطلبت ريوق فريج صويلح بس بدلت الكيما ببيض الشكشوكة وطلبت خمير محلى وشاي كرك. الاكل ما شاء الله تبارك الرحمن راااااااائع والمكان جميل والديكور تراثي. إن شاء الله بعيد التجربة مرة ثانيه وثالثه 👍👍👍 ... انصح الجميع بتجربة المطعم لانه يستحق وبجدارة.
I tried this place few years back in Kuwait and can't recall my experience then. Went on a visit to Dubai and seriously love machboos lahm. I ordered it it two days in a row. The price was really reasonable.
If you truly want to try authentic food from this region (GCC). I would highly recommend it.
I think this is a must visit place in Abu Dhabi .

Hi there, here is my feedback about Freej Swaileh.
After a journey with my cousins we decided to try food from Freej Swaileh. We went there in the morning so we tried there breakfast which was Emirates breakfast and Freej Swaileh breakfast 🍳. We were so hungry even we cleaned the dishes. What i want to say is the breakfast was simple, neat, and delicious. I couldn’t take pictures of our order because I was thinking only about how can I satisfy my little tummy😂😂.
If you didn’t try the food there, my advice for you will be “ don’t waste your time thinking about what you will eat, just go there, order your food 🥘, and enjoy “
I tried both dine-in and also delivery.
Dine-in: Great ambiance and service. I loved the staff dressed in traditional clothing and offering coffee. the walls are covered with authentic kuwaiti/Emirati decor.
lentil soup 4/5 - i loved the presentation in the bread bowl.
fareed chixcken 4.5/5 - Absolute childhood favourite.
machboos dyay 4/5 - wonderfull and juicy chicken.
laquimat 2/5 - too sweet with that heavy syrup.
blaleet 4/5 - yummy with the eggs on top
all in all great experience. It was an option for me to take a friend from abroad for a taste of local cuisine and he did enjoy it to the max.

Really one of the best traditional place in Abu Dhabi. No wonder it is always crowded . Only issue is parking space.

بصراحه المطعم أكله لذيذ ولي يبغي ف خاطره عيش انصح فيه و بقوه عندهم لمسات غير شوي عن مطاعم العيوش الي ف بوظبي تحس انه صدق خليجي بالعاده المطاعم الخليجيه طعم العيش كله منذي😂😂 و انصح بمجبوس الدياي
One of the best Harees I had. nice decor with authentic local dishes. Khabis wasnt good though and feedback was raised to staff, which they were very friendly and helpful. must try in khalifa !
This is my fav place for Arabic food in khalifa a really recommend it for everyone the taste is super and if u order the food for delivery it will come in a perfect way

Home delivery of Ghouzi "Rice with Meat" and Taboula Salad. On the side they had spicy chilli, tomato chutney and spiced yogurt. The order arrived in 45 minutes which is Great! But it wasn't warm! The Taboula is not great as if the lemon is not fresh and mostly tasting parsley only 4/10. The rice was tasty but the meat is a bit tasteless and the potato with egg is boiled with no taste of spices 4/10. The sides: tomato chutney could be much better, spicy chilli is great and the yogurt is simply a disaster! Price 5/10. Overall 5/10. Won't repeat it again.

This review is based on my second attempt.. Totally different experience, amazing service and welcoming.. Ordered chicken soup "soooo tasty 10/10", Had complimentary logaimat at start with Arabic Coffee , a bit strange as usually it should be at the end.. didn't like the logaimat.. Ordered Ghouzi which was sooo taaasty 10/10 and Momawash Shrimp 5/10, the rice was OK but the shrimps very bad as there was no spices.. The jarjeer salad was OK 6/10.. ice cream saffron and dates were fine as well 6/10.. for sure will come again to try new stuff..
Very good Emirati food. Havent eaten there but ordered take away a few times and enjoyed it every time. Their thareed and biryanis are especially good. Also have a lovely sweet named (aseedat bobar), make sure you eat it while its still warm!
My local friend took me there it was a very nice experience to try local foods and I enjoyed it especially their meat biryani and the harissa.
Now the term ‘hidden gem’ is thrown around all too often, but there is no other phrase which we can used to describe Freej Swaileh. A restaurant housed in a large villa out in Khalifa City (very close to Al Forsan Sports Resort and Al Yasmin school), though its unlikely that many would know of its existence, as all signage is in Arabic.
Delicious food. Fabulous atmosphere, the service is just WOW . This restaurant have given too much effort and time I am sure . It is like museum and has little souq for our very old sweets and some good stuff. You must visit it many times . I love the juice there and the soup inside the bread . They also have kids area to keep them busy while mummies are eating .
My favorite restaurant for authentic local dine in experience...i love the friendly staff, and the high class decorations and the food.

First of thanks to Zomato for giving me a coupon and chance to know this wonderful hangout place. The staffs make you feel comfortable and dishes were like wow. Even we took lot of pics to keep in memory list. Very few places we like to visit again and again this is such a place. Don't forget to visit top floor.
When it comes to food quality meets quantity. Sweets were melting in tongue to be specific.
10/10 for the friendly and cheerful staff.
10/10 for cleanliness.
10/10 for taste and good portion of food.
10/10 for value for money.
A perfect place to take loved ones to know the real flavor of Emirati food.

Needed a restaurant to host lunch for a friend near the airport area and this turned out to be a lovely choice.
Loved the lentil soup in particular and also the service.
As we go inside we are taken away by the decor. It's so nice and takes you back to the olden days. The staff welcomed us with smiles and we asked for a tour around the restaurant and they took us around without hesitation. When we were finally seated we received "lgeymat" plate and some Arabic coffee. We placed our orders and waited for a while till we received the food. We got some thareed dyay which was superb it had a zesty lemon flavor which I loved. And majboos lahm which was good and shrimp biryani that failed to amaze us as it was recommended by the waiters. Rice was a bit dry and cold.
One of my FAV local restaurants, the menu is great, the prices is good, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is very nice and cozy.
I would totally recommend this restaurant and order their machboos (meat) + legaimat

اول جملة تسمعونها من طاقم العمل لدى مطعم فريج صويلح ، بداية من الترحيب بزوار المطعم ثم الأكل اللذيذ فعلا استطاع مطعم فريج صويلح ان يحرك براعم التذوق لدي والتي بدأت تتراقص على أنغام المنيو ومن ثم التذوق ابتداء من الشوربة ثم السلطة ومن ثم الوجبة الرئيسية والتي كانت مكبوس الدجاج الذي لا مثيل له في الإمارات. لابد من زيارة هذا المطعم وتجربته لأن الأكل مميز جدا. تمنياتي لكم بوجبة ممتعة.
hey guys, those who would like to test Kuwaiti food blended with emarati touch, fereej suwaileh is the best place. could not resist the menu and options available, must try if you are going to abu dhabi and honestly worth the drive from dubai as I did... well done fereej suwaileh.
Got excited that they have opened a branch here. When used to live in Kuwait this is where I would normally go l when i crave for machbous. It's not exactly the same as in Kuwait but still satisfied my cravings. The rice and meat is perfec and did not need any saucehe zubaidi is well seasoned too. . They just have to improve with the bread where they put the lentil soup and the portions of the meat is not enough compared to the amount of rice they put in.

Went for lunch with work colleagues. Amazing attention to detail in the decor and the food is just superb! Their Harees is quite simply the best I've ever had in an Abu Dhabi restaurant. Their soups come in a bread bowl & are very good. They serve Namlet soft drinks with your name written on it which is such a fun little touch. They have a salad with grapes that's so yummy I can eat it for brakfast, lunch and dinner. Their warag 3enab and chips Oman samboosa are just divine.
They also have cheese stuffed lgeimat that is simply out of this world.
In short, an amazing new Emirati restaurant that has ruined me forever as it raised the bar so high no other restaurant can compete.
5.0 for ambience of the place, 5.0 for service and 4.5 for the taste. Cost for 2 for main course dishes and drinks is about 120 to 150 AED. Loved it!!!
The food is very good in this place. In fact I could go higher with my rating score for this place if only they didn't use the same brand name of a famous restaurant in Kuwait; and copied it's theme and style.
Unfortunately this indicates so many negative points for this place starting from lack of self esteem, lack of authenticity and lack of creativity.
