I went there with my freind for the first time and we ordered iskendar kebab ... Believe me tge quality of food was horrible and half of the platter was covered with yoghurt and rest of it with tomatoes, capsicum and layer of crotons and small portion of iskendar kebab with cheese on top...and when we raised a complain to manager ... He was very rude with us that u r creating all this fuss to get discount.By hearing this we asked him for the bill and said we don't want any discount and we will never come back again

Difficult to make custom choices on the app while ordering. I wanted sujuk with my eggs as party of my breakfast order and I was willing to pay extra but was still only sent plain eggs. You pay 80 dhs and don’t even receive simit as part of your bread basket.

Advertised item and Served/Delivered items were very different. Mezze normally has Tabouleh, Fattush, Motabel, etc. But none of these were in the delivered pack. Even breads were different!!!<br/><br/>Interesting!!! One of the photos fails to upload!!!

Even though we had a hard time finding this place.. It was so totally worth it!<br/>Went to Gunaydin yesterday for dinner and Shisha with my colleagues.<br/>The owner was sweet enough to come introduce herself and make us understand about the items on the menu.<br/>For starters we ordered Cheese Sambosak and for main course as per the owners recommendation we ordered the Iskender Kebab & Saj Kavurma Chicken. Both the dishes were delish and full of flavor. Portion sizes are huge, I highly recommend to go to this place with a group. Shisha was really good and the coal change was done during reasonable times.<br/>And do save some space for the Tri Leche dessert! 🖤<br/>After dinner they served a cup of black tea for all of us on the table..

I chose Gunaydin Gourmet specifically for the breakfast and it did not disappoint.<br/><br/>The decor is ever so reminiscent of Turkey.<br/><br/>The breakfast spread is absolutely wonderful! The honey and cream with the bread is always my favourite. The eggs were delicious too.<br/><br/>Definitely doing this again!

We love breakfast/brunching. We ordered the Gunaydin Gourmet breakfast for 2 people and it was more than enough.<br/>Love the Turkish mini plates with a lot of variety to choose from and the two eggs of your selection (if u want to add meat like kaverma it is additionally charged). You can start eating the eggs, cheese (many types) and some cold meat. And then you can finish it with the jams, butter and the honey with cream. ( or u can mix and match :) )<br/>The food is surved with a basket of bread (and simit) and turkish red tea.<br/>Overall we loved it and we definitely will go back again. The food is a bit pricey.<br/>The place is clean , good staff and the turkish music in the background is nice

First experience with turkish cuisine. The food was great, especially the grill kofte😍. Unfortunately there was no shisha 🤷🏻‍♀️ beacuse of the weather, so I must go back😁.

I gave it 2 stars because the place is really nice with its designs and so.. But i was dissappointed with food.. portions is not worth the prices at all..it didnt have the ethentic taste of turkish food.. I ordered iskender kabab the meat they used did not look or taste like iskeder kabab meat that i know.. Wouldnt try it again for lunch..

Seeing the excellent rating and for the love Turkish cuisine we decided to give this place a worthy try. The place was deserted on a Friday evening which was surprising.<br/>The ambient is beautifully crafted though the upbeat pop music background didn't complement too well. The service was friendly and the staff was helpful. The menu though appeared quite limited, especially given the variety in Turkish cuisine was a bit of a let down. The usuals such as iskander kababs was there so we placed the order, nothing too fancy.<br/>The food came warm and was well presented. The taste was quite average and nothing you can't find in any other ordinary restaurant. I can't rate this place more than a 3 even if I was being generous. Full marks to the friendly service but that alone can't bring me back. I d say it was worth a try but it couldn't live up to my high expectations.

One of the best Turkish places you can find around Abu Dhabi. Reem our surver was quite attentive to our needs. You can have a good time with your friends and family for sure.

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. Our friendly waiter Arante provided excellent service and took beautiful pics for us. The decor is beautiful and provides a real Turkish experience. Would definitely recommend.

Came for an early lunch, ordered cold mezze platter and the kofte with the tomato sauce ( can’t remember the name), honestly it was average or even below average. Nothing special at all but maybe their breakfast is good?! Haven’t tried it yet.

Food is great, as always. However, they were out of the cream and did not let us know until we noticed and asked about it. The air conditioning inside is also weak or it is not working, and that made it pretty hot inside. Would recommend just not in the summer unless A/C is fixed.

I saw this restaurant by chance in Zomato while searching for a new place to go for Iftar. First Iftar here was fabulous with our family friends. Everyone was raving about the quality and taste of the food. So today it’s just me and hubby. We had a quiet Iftar together and we chose to sat upstairs. Definitely the view is stunning from top! We ordered Tabouleh & Chicken Kavurma Saj. Simply one of the best Saj’s we have ever tried. Mildly spiced, a mix of vegetables and chicken gravy cooked to perfection served with bulgur and bread! I highly recommend this dish! The Tres Leche was very inviting and since the last time we skipped desert, today we decided we will go for it. Now, we have tried many milk cakes in the city - always end up disappointed - either too dry, too sweet, to eggy and we hate the whipped cream on top!<br/>We were in for a pleasant surprise as the Tres Leche was moist, light, just the perfect sweetness and it melts in your mouth! The caramel sauce on top and sprinkle of ground pistachio complemented the taste very well! We both agreed that it is simply the best Tres Leche (Milk Cake) in the city! We will be returning to Gunaydin pretty soon!

A grand sheesha restaurant, with good food, amiable staff and delightful times! Enjoyed the elaborate furnishings and presentation of the team. The pides and Turkish desserts are a must-try. Thank you restaurant manager Viken!

Passed by this hidden gem for some Turkish sweets. Ordered the triangular-shapes Baklava with ice cream, a plate of Kunafa and a pot of Turkish tea. The whole experience was amazing from the food to the atmosphere. Its very cosy and a great place to chill in. Definitely recommended!

Whenever I feel like a full rounded breakfast mixed with salty and sweet flavors, I usually like to go for a Turkish Breakfast. Gunaydin satisfied my food cravings with their delicious breakfast platter mixed with the traditional cheese / labneh / jam / honey and fresh bread / simit. I will definitely be coming here more often!<br/><br/>Also, they have terrific and friendly staff :)

Somehow this place is overrated, very poor food quality, <br/>we ordered iskender and had to returned back, Iskender was swimming in a red soup with extremely soggy bread base and the meat was not the right one used for this dish, the clever chef removed some soupy sauce and send back the same plates?! This is very disappointing and disrespectful! The mix grill was horrible, it tasted like left over meat pieces, not to mention the partially burned pide, <br/>as a Turkish I can confidently say that the chef has no idea what Turkish food look and taste like, it’s shame that such a nicely decorated cute cafe with poor quality food! I don’t recommend this place and won’t be going or ordering again unless they improve and hire a knowledgeable chef...

On my third visit to Gunaydin, i was once again amazed by the food and service. It was my mom's bday and the first time for my parents at the restaurant. Everyone left with a happy stomach and a big smile.<br/>We had ordered the mezze plate which is like a sampler of all the mezze varieties. The bread that came along with it was just so soft and to die for. We were already full with just the starter. But, we knew we could keep going, the huge stomach space that we were blessed with. For main course, we ordered the classic Iskender Kebab and the Chicken Saj Kavurma. Again the flavors were so rich and delish. I wish we had space for dessert.<br/>We will definitely be visiting again to taste their breakfast menu that has great reviews.<br/><br/>On a final note, extremely nice & friendly servers. Five stars.

We meandered towards Turkish cuisine on a hungry afternoon while at the capital and Gunaydin did not disappoint us. This place was in our mind for a while and on a weekday we found a quiet spot and were served by attentive lady Reem. The decor took us straight to Turkey. We dived into mains wanting to try their version of ubiquitous Iskander and kiremitte. Both the dishes were impressive and satiating. We finished with the trech lech cake which was yummy. Recommend this place!

A proper hidden gem and it was delightful! The design of the place is very authentic with impeccable food presentation. Service was good and food tasted really good, we ordered cheese pedi really big and tasty. Also we ordered Saj Kavurma Beef and that dish was a winner so fresh and flavourful highly recommended and also we ordered Manthi which Was ok but not the best I had. Definitely a place to go back to and try other dishes.

Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised. Always a sucker for fresh bread and this place certainly has that in abundance. A bakery-cum-restaurant with some fantastic and authentic Turkish dishes. Had a mix of a few things and every dish had it's own 'wow factor'. Turkish coffee and stikan style tea were on point as well. Definitely one for the favourites list!

Food was good and the staff are great. Love the decor, and the service is impeccable. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back soon.

This Patisserie/Bakery was VERY inviting! Cool air-con and a HUGE array of delicious breads, cakes, and deli items (olives, baklava etc). We bought some DELICIOUS local bread sticks + Turkish ring bread with sesame seeds. We also ordered some Baklava and Blueberry Cheesecake to go with our drinks (Hot chocolate & Capucchino). There were several staff and one brought us over a tray of sample jams to try! We were the ONLY customers in this place. Main problem: Not a great deal of foot traffic.

Been for breakfast. Authentic Food menu looks great. Nice Shisha garden outside and great ambiance inside. Food is reasonably priced , tasty and authentic but drink prices are shocking and in my opinion unnecessarily expensive. No local water either. Therefore only 4 stars.

My mother and I had breakfast at Gunaydin today. We ordered the Turkish Breakfast for Two. It was so delicious ! In my opinion, It is as good as the breakfasts are in Istanbul. We were served a selection of cheeses, jams, mhamara, olives, and other condiments. A lot of them were homemade. We had a selection of Turkish bread. It was delicious. So fresh and warm. Two egg dishes of your choice are included in the breakfast. We chose menemen and fried eggs with sujuk. Menemen was one of the best we tried. And of of course Turkish tea was part of the breakfast as well. It tastes almost as good as the Turkish tea in Istanbul. So far, I think it is the closest thing we can get to Turkish tea in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is perfect for family and friends. The restaurant is completely decked out with Turkish decoration items, which we loved. It made us feel we were back in Istanbul. The staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back again to try more dishes InshAllah !

Good food but very bad presentation, our food came all spilled in a paper bag. Driver said u can call restaurant and complain. <br/>Maybe better for dinning in.

Great place with great atmosphere! There was a wide selection of food for breakfast and we especially loved the pide with cheese and eggs! The Gunaydin breakfast for two provides generous portions of all sorts of things (Eggs, jam, cheeses, honey, olives and more). Would recommend visiting this place for sure :)

Authentic turkish food, great ambience and friendly staff is what you get here. Never had a thing for Turkish food but started loving it after we had a brunch here. I specifically loved the condiments and the breads are to die for.

I visited this place based on the amount of good reviews on zomato, i ordered eskender kebab, saj chicken kavarma, and manti. To be honest the best thing was the starter bread only and the chicken kavarma was not that bad. I didnt like the eskender kebab and the manti was tasteless. The staff need to be trained way more. Nobody welcomed us as we entered as well as no body even noticed us to be more accurate. Then since the resturant was empty the time i went, all the staff were looking at us while having launch which was really annoying. I would rate this place 3 just because i love turkey and i loved the starter bread.

First time to gunaydin gourmet. Turkish cuisine. Loved the ambience and decor. Was interesting. The staff were welcoming. For startes we ordered the grilled halloumi cheese, which I loved.. It was yum. Along with that we ordered the grilled sucuk and mucver, which was good. Just found the mucver a bit salty. For main course, we ordered the mix grill, that comes along with potato wedges and Turkish rice and the Saj kavurma. Loved the presentation. The grill was good, meat tasted well. Saj kavurma was a different dish and tasted good too.. For drinks we had a lemonade and strawberry mojito. Overall, the dishes were good. 😍

Been here a couple of times; one for lunch and the other was breakfast. Very good service, and love their decor. Overall rating of food is like 4.5 out of 5 except the Baklava with ice cream was a bit stale and wasn't really fresh. Other than that all is good.

I visited this restaurant because of Zomato Gold. My family was visiting me from Ajman and chose this restaurant to have breakfast in. Since I subscribed in the gold membership, i always tell the waiter that I hace a Zomato Gold membership after finishing the food since Zomato is trusted. Yet when I ordered the bill, they refused the membership saying that it doesn’t include breakfast, where as nothing of that is written on their page. I had too many conflicts with turkish restaurant in many countries you name it, UAE, Germany, Austria and Turkey itself. Never going to trust any Turkish restaurant anymore.

The customer service and hospitality plus the inspiring turk themed ambience gets a 5 star rating, however in comparison the food is below average & pricey for what they serve. We ordered the mezze-(was average) fritters which was good iskender kebab -(was not wowed) and chicken wrap which was worse than a gas station wrap cold and lifeless.My folks and myself have a stomach bug after having dined there. After a hassle to find parking, it was a brief grandeur of an experience here. Well decked decor reminiscent of good Oriental vibes, the private seating area was traditional. Ordered the saj kourma chicken, Iskander kebap, bread, mezze plate. All items were well presented and worth the taste but the portions for the amount of price were a little less. A slightly bigger portion would be welcome but really a fun chill place to have a good outing or have shisha. Highly recommended!

I love this restaurant!We know about it from Zomato and when we saw the big rate we said we should give a try.I love the interior, the design and the decorations. It is very pleasant to dine there and the staff is very nice.<br/>First time we went in Ramadan for the set menu for Iftar. Food was delicious and enough amount to feel full and the taste of the food was great. We had starters with olives, humus and other Turkish specific, than salad, soup and mixed grill which was perfect. At the end was dessert, 4 types: profiterole, Turkish ice cream and other 2 like pudding and a cup of tea. <br/><br/>Another time we went for breakfast and we enjoyed it. We had breakfast for two which include different appetizers with cheese, olives, vegetables, confiture, butter, halwa, butter with honey and choice of eggs different styles. Bread is heaved I loved it. For the price I expected to be more amount of food, or more choices, is quite expensive 150 AED for couple for breakfast.  But overall is very tasty and maybe we'll go again because the place is lovely.

I drove around twenty minutes to reach the place. The overall experience is “Fair”...food quality, atmosphere, prices. Waiters are smiling and friendly, but don’t listen very well

Please save your money an order Turkish food from Al Afiyah Turkish restaurant listed on Zomato.<br/><br/>The worst Turkish food ever.., Highly disappointed with the Islander kebab priced at 60dhs was simply over burnt pieces of meat, wish I can bring to the Municipality's notice for serving people such bad food ;-( Total waste of money & trust.. So was their super dry Tambik Doner and less than impressive Kunefe with ice cream :((

So while I was weekending in Abu Dhabi to visit my brother and his family, we came up with a sudden plan of going out for Iftar as it was the last week before Ramadan would end. We instantly looked into Zomato and almost majority of the places were full and then this happened Gunaydin Gourmet. I love Turkey and so love the culture and anything that’s middle eastern you can count me in. The first thing you enter this restaurant you would notice about the interiors, feels like you are in some Sultan place and to add on the staffs are also dressed in their traditional attire. What a beauty to see them. I have such strong love and connection towards the cutlery of any restaurant I go to dine in and you will be able to see it around the restaurant. The colored chairs and chandeliers makes you stare at them forever. Most importantly the vibe the restaurant gives you is undoubtedly the best. So Iftar begins with dates served with some homemade refreshments of fruit juices with salad and soups. Main course is set menu of Mixed grills served with couscous rice. And the best was the dessert, which was my fav part. A tray of my fav goodies of Kunafa, choco ice cream, creme caramel, pistachio and cheese kunafa and um ali. I loved the salad, it was so FRESH and the walnuts added to it,brought great flavor. I honestly was not a big fan of their lentil soup as it tasted more like pumpkin soup to me. The meat was well cooked and had great flavor. We had a good conversation with the OWNER who went to each table to check if everything served was good, which is important as it adds a lot of value to the restaurant in collecting opinions. Last but not the least Dora the waitress who was was quite patient in handling us with our demands. Will visit again for some traditional breakfast. By the way they do have sheesha too.

So delicious food in Ramadan.. you should visit them and try ....... they have two branchs in uae .. and the them was totally different. Nice experience

We went there for our Iftar which was well priced<br/>A very friendly staff and an energetic owner<br/>We always had our freshly baked bread on the side with unlimited Ramadan drinks<br/>Two skewers, so tender. It is the best chicken skewer I ever had<br/>Chai (tea) was served as a complementary (ekramya - known in Turkish) with Turkish delights on the side<br/>The experience was very good<br/>Will give it another visit after Ramadan to try their menu<br/>

We went for the buffet iftar last week and we loved it! Especially the bread and the starters. The lentil soup was also different and good! The ambience was also nice for a quiet meal

loved the interior unique and worth visiting reminds me of old antique restaurants will recommend it to others it has a unique and simple atmosphere with friendly staff the iftar meal was absolutely delicious and tasty.

Authentic taste, decent portions, very friendly staff, unique atmosphere and very acceptable prices. Over all a very good experience that I will surely try again.

Amazing atmosphere, Amazing presentation, and one of the best customer service. I ordered Iskender kebab, unfortunately wasnt good at all, the type of meet wasnt so good, But the Service is really amazing i couldnt leave without the smile. So thanks to the team leader LOULOU..

Perfect place a wonderful services especially LouLou .. The grills were very nice and so was the salad .... The sweet was a nice and an excellent value for money .. highly recommended
