We got a chance to go to the Ponderosa Steak House for lunch buffet. It had all varieties of cuisines in unlimited amounts. We tried a few dishes from each cuisine but we still couldn’t try all. We recommend everyone to try this place out, the food quality is amazing.
Me and my family love this place. The buffet spread doesn't really change but the chicken makes it worth it for me. I can gorge on those fried chicken and buffalo wings forever.
They also added grilled chicken and it's just heaven.
Also, I'm sorry if I don't know the name of the manager but he's very friendly. Speaks fluent tagalog which is cool.
I love the food and the place. Even you dont order a you can avail just the buffet. Food is nice and tasty. So many to choose from. I wish there is a big parking lot nearby.

An ideal place to have steak at affordable prices!! The steak is quite good for the money, when you actually order the steak you get the buffet for free. So there's a Whole lot of options in the buffet and i really like their chicken wings
Today was my first visit to Ponderosa Steak House. They have a nice ambience and friendly staff. We wanted to try their steaks. So we had ordered a sirloin steak with a side of french fries and a T bone steak with baked potato. Both the steaks were well cooked as per our liking. The lady who served us had made sure the the meat was well done. Both the steaks were good but I liked the sirloin better. It was succulent and well marinated. We had a surprise in the form of a free buffet along with our order. Anyone with a huge apetite and a love for steaks, this is your goto place. We will definitely be comming back for more.
We had our family dinner at ponderosa. Such a very nice ambience. I love the chicken Buffalo and fried Chicken! Wide variety of foods,viands, dessert.

This is the place you wanna go when you love steaks and have a big appetite, coz along with your ordered steak is their free buffet selections, without sacrificing the quality of steak you get, it’s like unlimited side dish! If you are like me whose a big carb eater, this is worth your money.

We said to give a try to this restaurant as a recommendation from a friend. The location is great, right in the center of the city.
The restaurant looks a little tired, but is clean, which is very important.
The buffet is pretty various and tasty but actually nothing outstanding. For the starters, salads were fresh and nice, and also humus, but too many types of salads with mayo which I think is not very healthy, so it better to replace with some fresh eggplant paste or else. The lasagna kinda dry on the top and also the chicken wings and meatballs were dry. Noodles and fried egg rice ,a little tasteless but I liked the chili chicken and the sweet wings. Something nice was the Mexican corner, when you can prepare your own taco or burrito, and the ingredients were delicious.
What I didn't liked at all, was the dessert bar which it was very poor, I mean, at least 2-3 types of cakes/ Arabic sweets or whatever if they had was fine, because all that they had were some puddings, can fruits, Umm ali and apple cobler. The ice cream machine was fun and interesting to have it, but the ice cream was not really good.
The staff was nice and they were cleaning our tables from the unwanted dishes pretty quick. They proposed also another choice for eating, if your were ordering a steak (with fries or backed potato), you will be paying only the steak price, and it was including also the buffet and the price was 100 AED. Some of us had also steak and they said that it was delicious so it was worth it.
Overall, you can give a try because the price is ok for the food 62 AED for the buffet, but if they will improve the dessert bar will be so much better.

I visited today the restaurant based on Zomato collections and recommendation for buffets.
The restaurant is located at the ground floor of Hamed Centre. The place is clean but not that impressive.
Some kitsch decorations are trying to give you the impression that you are at American steakhouse.
All the staff are very active and are smiling at 100% of the time. The waiter that welcomed us even gave us the recommendation to upgrade the grand buffet to a steak buffet. Basically for extra 40 AED you will get a huge 1 lb. steak.
The t-bone steak was my favorite thing from all the experience (check the photo). The buffet was nice and had reasonable choices but Couple of items where not that tasty. Another big plus was the do-it-yourself tacos.
The thing which disappointed me and I considered a big minus was the desert bar which had very few and poor choices. Mostly there was can fruits, some jelly and machine ice cream.
Overall it was a nice experience but honestly for 100 AED I had buffets which were much much better.
i supposed this one of the pioneer in buffet here in abu dhabi, service is average, food is ok, they just have to think of something new not to mention that the competition is getting tight.
Second visit for this restaurant shows a positive change for their buffet since my first visit

I love steak... and if you have a big hunger.. you must visit them.. when you order any steak.. it comes with a free buffet.. yes buffet..my favorites are their crispy chicken and buffalo wings!! To die for! It also comes with drinks and dessert..
Or if you want the buffet only.. you can do that as well.. but all in all a good food exp at an affordable price...
While I've never tried the steak at Ponderosa, I've eaten at the buffet a few times. The selection is great with a wide variety to sample. It consists of mainly junk food - American, Mexican and some Chinese.
Quantity is given more preference over quality here, as the food, though average and run-of-the-mill, leaves you full and hearty. The noteworthy parts of the buffet include the soup, the salad bar and the unlimited number of drinks and ice creams - a particular favorite of children.
With it's friendly servers, cozy ambience and good value for money, Ponderosa is worth visiting at least once - just make sure to go there on a completely empty stomach.
Food: The fried chicken is great. There is a large selection of food. The taste is not something to write home about, however.
Value: Great value. Around 150 for 2 people
Place: Cozy and location is great too.

Although I didn't like the food this time but I know that they have a good food with lots of varieties. The location is perfect as it is in the downtown. Ambiance is really good.
Another old time favorite before everyone moved to the malls. Birthdays, christenings etc....This place was famous for its buffets and at the time, the place for affordable steaks. We have good memories of Ponderosa and will gladly come to eat here when in the vicinity. Parking can sometimes be hectic but the memories that come back to you when eating here makes it worth it. They have a great spread of salads and sides to choose from and of course almost any variation of your meat that you can think of. It is also peaceful during afternoons when you just want to enjoy a meal, either in the buffet or the combination with the steak orders. ❤

Three words, JUNK FOOD HEAVEN!! Went for the buffet, which is quite affordable. Average interiors. ... there's Mexican and American junk food mainly with a good salad bar.
Its a affordable buffet place and value for money . You have lot of variety option from Soup till dessert. Right place if you are worried about treat for group of people.
They server international cuisine for the buffet . To start with The chicken clear soup is yummy with lot of starters Like Buffalo wings, fish fry , fried chicken , salads.
You have option to take unlimited ice tea or coke . Kids have lot option and they have dishes which they prefer like Potato fries , papads , unlimited fruits and cone ice cream.

The buffet items consist of so many items! From the mexican nachos and tacos to grilled chicken, pasta, pizza, curries, boneless bbq chicken, this place has something to satisfy everyone's taste.
There's a wide variety of salads and desserts. Theres an ice cream machine where you can get you own ice cream in a cone with toppings; something which really attracts the kids.
The quantity and quality of food is definitely worth the price. Perfect place to come on an empty stomach.
Was here last Monday (September 28). My wife an I ordered a T-Bone Steak and a Fillet Mignon. We asked it to be cooked Medium Rare and both the steaks were good. I think they can season it a bit more but overall the steak taste good.
Our orders included the buffet as well and the selections were impressive. The selection has Asian, Western and Arab foods. There are unlimited fruits and sweets as well.
The place has a very distinct vibe and style which I really like. The staff who assisted us are very accommodating and even the Manager was always wearing a smile.
I will definitely be back in this place. And by the way the price in there menu won't break your bank.

Steak! Oh steak!
My first visit in this steakhouse today, August 30 with my sister and our two other friends. We ordered two ribeye steak and two sirloin steak, all with one side dish so we had two french fries and two baked potato also. All steaks were ordered as medium well. Those two ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly as we wanted but the other two sirloin steaks were a bit dry and gummy. We had their salad ,a taste of their fried rice and fried chicken, cones of sundae which I really like and drinks from their buffet which was also included in our steak meals. We also tried their mashed potato from their buffet but it was just so buttery.( If your order steak,you can also have the food from their buffet which I think is a good value for your money. Just a little information to those who were about to pay a visit in this place.) So, whenever you have a very good appetite to eat more, I recommend you to try this place.The experience was just fine. The server,( I can't remember her name) was pleasant and made us feel comfortable. The place is spacious.☺
I ordered their steak, and when you order any steak, you get a free (kinda international) buffet dinner as well so it was so worth the price. Their selection of food was varied, and they also have soft served ice cream with toppings you can choose from.
The waitress asked me how I'd like my steak done and I said "well done". She suggested to me the "Medium Well" because this one's more flavorful and juicy as opposed to the dry well-done. I heeded her advice and true to what she said, I really enjoyed my steak. It was perfectly the way I had wanted it. I really appreciate them for their suggestions, they know their products best.
And their staffs are very accommodating, and friendly, and just great. I know I'll be coming back here. Great food, value for money, and great service! Keep up the good work!
The place is definitely value for money as the buffet has a lot of variety and is well tender steaks. Very highly recommended place for a chill place, good food, good prices and good company!
We went here to try out the main courses and were pleasantly surprised to know that the buffet is included in the main courses.
We had the steaks which we ordered medium rare but were cooked rare. The chicken was just about good enough. The best part of the meal was the buffet which was well stocked and the Buffalo wings were quite tasty.

The place is definitely value for money as the buffet has a lot of variety and is well stocked. We had ordered sirloin steak, ribeye steak, Chicken platter. We ordered our steaks to be medium rare but the steaks we received was rare. The Chicken was salty as commented by my friend. Overall we had a good time here.

I have been going to this place ever since I was a teenager and it is still an amazing place with lots of memories, the best thing is that they still kept their standards high and never changed!
It is a very cozy place, very clean, the staff is very helpful and polite, they don't disturb you every second while you are trying to eat and have a conversation with your friends.
Their steaks are really really good! Very affordable and juicy, along side their baked potato which is just baked to perfection! Their buffet is limited but good enough, a bit of Chinese dishes, Mexican tacos and nachos and a salad bar.
When you order a steak, the buffet comes free with the meal, so you get the luxury of having a buffet and a steak! Or course the dessert side of the buffet have a really delicious umm Ali, fruits and soft ice cream.

Highly recommended buffet restaurant in the city. They have a very affordable price. Their buffet include ice cream,ice tea, juice or soft drinks all you can! And if your a fan of buffalo wings, you must try their finger-licking buffalo wings. :)

Went here yesterday with my bestie Nivedha Chandran .. We were craving for steak and decided to go here .. Well we opted for the buffet along with the steak and it was amazing !! The ambiance, hospitality , food , service was just amazing .
The bbq wings and meat ball pasta deserve a special mention . I ordered for a medium rare steak while my friend opted for a well done steak . Mine was a lil chewy and the baked potato that came along with it was just melting in our mouths .
For the sweets we had Apple crumble pie, ice cream and mousse which was absolutely perfect . I still can't take my mind off the food last night . Would want to go here again and again .

Really good place to have steak for a fairly reasonable price. They have a buffet of western food which is the main attraction that you get when you buy a steak.

Had a family time once and it was just brilliant. Felt so nice when the sizzling beast was on the table. Yum and delicious.

Ever since I can remember, my family has been coming here for buffets every Ramadan. The quality of the food hasn't gone down even from back then. I just remember loving this place because of the abundance of junk food (i.e. ice cream, chips, deep-fried chicken, french fries, potato wedges, etc). When I came here last July for their buffet I was still impressed that their food was so good for such a low-priced buffet and the servers also friendly! They kept refilling their food every time it was close to running out, as a proper buffet place should. This is a place where people of all ages can get together to enjoy food. Highly recommended!
Well this place has one of best buffet in abu dhabi in very affordable price.
They hav the menu for buffet which u will not find in other places. Plus all the soft drinks u can hav is the best part.
Place is simple but nice the only thing negative i will say is the service they dnt wven come to ask u if u need anything once u start to eat.
I am a sucker for continental and Ponderosa is my refuge. Yes they do have a set buffet menu, which puts them at a risk but damn their buffet is good. The salads, the soup, nachos, main course, dessert and drinks all are really good. And guess what even if you order à la carte you are free to enjoy the buffet if you dine in. Pluse their service is too good. If you are a big Continental and American cuisine fan.. give Ponderosa a try.

This place has many childhood memories attached to it. I remember as a kid I would be so excited to go here and have an all you can eat junk food experience!
Even today I love the little taco/nacho station and the little nuggets and wedges corner of the buffet. Besides this tjey have loads of salads a couple of soups, chickem wings (bbq and fried) and some main courses like spagetti and meat balls and some chinese style dishes. The menue has pretty much stayed the same for the past 10 years. So you can always be gaurenteed about what ur getting urself into when you walk into the restaurant.
This is a great place to visit with your family; the kids and the kid inside you will love it!
Their steaks and other dishes are also quite nice and if I remember correctly if you order a main course the buffet come free with it. So be sure to bring your apettite with you
Best of all I think is the desert station where you get to make your own soft serve ice cream cones. As a child this is what I looked forward to the most and as an adult I have to say I still think this is the best part about ponderosa
The decor atmosphere and staff have always been pleseant and I think they allow you to hold birthday parties etc here too.
My only minor complaint would be the price of the buffet. 70 dhs could be considered a bit excessive for a buffet of what is mostly side order dishes, but then again I guess they also have to make ends meet and have had to increase their pricing over the years.
This place is definitely worth a visit atleast once!

ponderosa restaurant is located in electra. they offered buffet that is so affordable. theyve got wide varieties of food to choose from from salads, appetizer, main course to desserts. aside from their buffet they as well offer ala carte orders such as steak at a very cheap price. i love their ice cream corner, wherein u can have an ice all u can!

The food is great, especially if you opt for food that allows you to use the buffet as well. Well worth the price, although the price may scare some people. Open buffet, so don't need to make mountains on one plate. Ambiance and service is very good. Suggestion: Eat whatever you can of the buffet and then have the meal you ordered. You can parcel the meal if you can't eat it , after the buffer fiesta. ;)
