I had ordered over the phone as i had some errands to run in the city,within 15 mins of my call the order was ready. They were prompt and quick. I had ordered the chicken steam momos and the tandoori chicken momos. My favourite were the tandoori momos as the spices used for the marination were perfect, wish I had mentioned my spice tolerance level. Just a tip, if you don't eat spicy ask them to alter it for you especially the tandoori momos. Chicken steam momos were average but decent enough.They are very generous in their fillings inside the momos. I will definitely visit this place again only for the chicken tandoori momos.

I ordered, steamed chicken momo as this is my favorite nepali food. Took a bit long, but it’s worth the wait. The food quality and authenticity is excellent, the level of spicy for the sauce is perfectly tolerable and the price is very affordable. Will definitely order again or maybe after the covid, will bring my friends to experience the dine in. Love lots! Thanks 😊

I had my first bite of nepal veg thali during trek in nepal. So visited here and it was really up to the mark . must try for vegetarian food lovers.

Tried them for the first time, it was so good. The momos had filling that tasted very fresh and earthy. The jhol sauce was just mind blowing.

A Hidden Gem for all Nepali Food lovers. I actually visited this place hoping to finally eat some good veg Momo but was disappointed. Momo’s were falling apart. The filling tasted no where close to what I expected but the Vegetarian Thali changed the whole game. Reminded me of home food and No I am not from Nepal but From the eastern part of India. Coming back here for sure.

Was craving Momo’s and ended up at Vansha Ghar.
The restaurant is easy to find as its right next to Progoti exchange on Electra street. Finding the entrance is a little more difficult.
First impressions on entering is that the place is small but extremely clean. They have an upstairs as well with more seating.
Service is friendly and quick.
We ordered he Thukpa and the momo’s.
The steamed chicken momo’s were extremely good with generous amount of filling. It comes with a chili paste and an orange paste as dipping sauces. The chili paste is extremely spicy. 4/5
I would have given the momo’s 5/5 if they were freshly made, but they were frozen and then steamed, so 4/5
The tandoori momo’s was a ‘curiosity’ order and was quite interesting. They are basically steamed momo’s coated in a thick tandoori batter and deep fried. Again, quite spicy. 3/5
The chicken Thukpa was a little too bland and didn’t have any depth of flavor. The chicken in the soup was hard and stringy. 2/5
The portions are generous and the restaurant offers great value for money.
As a bonus, the restaurant offers free WiFi.
Would I come back? Definitely For their steamed chicken momo’s!!

Recently during a chit chat(ofcourse food is always the topic at some point in time😋) with a friend who is from North Eastern part of India, he mentioned of the lovely and pocket friendly momos you get in their state. This discussion made me start my quest to taste at least the most closest taste to what my friend described. We were in Abu Dhabi and my sister told us about a Nepali joint which serves homely food and whose speciality was momos. In no time, we were there at this place. A very small and cozy place mostly frequented by people from Nepal, we ordered their tandoori and kothe momos, both chicken. Oh man!!the momos were just melting away to glory into our tummies. It tasted heavenly. The tandoori one was spicy but all of us just loved and repeated our orders. We ordered some mushroom curry and rotis too. They were also good, but the momos were the standout and very reasonable pricing.
If you are in Abu Dhabi, I would say MUST TRY.

Best Nepalese restaurant in Abu Dhabi. Momos so authentic taste and staff are very friendly. Reasonably priced, great location and clean environment.
They serve good Nepali food, only one of the few places that feels clean and hygienic. Their thalis are wonderful and makes you feel of home. Their momos are decent as well! Good food for an excellent price point.

I ordered the buff momos spicy and it was amazing and it was still good despite delivery. The momos were really tasty I felt there were less momos.
They serve superb Nepali food. Buff momos are soo Juicy and tasteful. Must try. The thakali set was also delightful. With karela fry, dal, three kinds of veggies. Just like home made food. The staff there are extremely polite and well behaved. Must visit

I had a short but very informative chit - chat with an acquaintance who recommended the place. I really wanted to have a glimpse of what a typical Nepali food taste like as I have long to see the country. I asked the friendly staff at the counter what are their best sellers; he enthusiastically recommended the “momos” (dumplings) to which I ordered in variety. And so the verdict, hands-down I’ll definitely come back for another one!

Momo”s are yummy specially Chicken Chilly Momo And Sea Momo 😍😋👌🏻. Nepali khana specially Chewla with khana set is also Delicious . Somehow Vansha Ghar makes the feeling of having those foods in Nepal . There’s quite and clean atomosphere . Serving is also good and friendly behavior staff/workers

This was my first time at Vansha Ghar. I went with my Nepali friend. I've tried several Nepalese restaurants in UAE and this is has the most authentic taste. The best momo I've tried in the UAE. My Nepalese friend agreed. I've been to Nepal many times and enjoy the Nepalese flavor. The restaurant is small but typical for this style of restaurant. It is clean and the service is very friendly and accommodating.
Authentic Nepali delicious food. A quaint, clean and tidy place with the friendliest staff who gave us a little bit of info on Mt.Everest. The momos were amazing and so was the Chicken Sekua.

The Mutton had quite a few bones in it so I think we would order another meat next time.
The chili momos are spicy so be careful if you can't eat spicy foods. Nonetheless, they are tasty though.
Steamed momos were great. I think these are the best especially dipped in the sauce they give you.
This is a nice little place on electra street. The decor and ambience is simple with a few pictures of Nepal on the walls but otherwise it is pretty basic. The food is quite basic and decent as well. We had the fried and steamed momos which were good but the steamed was better than the fried. We also had Wai Wai Stir Fried noodles which was delicious. However the best dish of the night was the chicken manchurian - succulent pieces of chicken cooked with the right amount of spices. Highly recommend it! We also had nice cups of masala chai to finish our meal. Overall it was a very good value for money.

The first time i ate from Vansha ghar was at my friend's place many months back. It was home delivered and was easy as my friend lives in the city. I like the food from that first go.
After the discovery of delivery to KCA just over a week ago I got food from Vansha Ghar. The nepali khana set( traditional nepali meal for lunch or dinner), sukuti sandheko ( meat jerk in spices), momos ( nepali dumplings), Alu ko Acchar ( potato with onions and spices) , chowmein and newari tass set are all that I have ordered.. excpet for the newari set i am super super happy with the food. Specially the Nepali Khana....oh my lord! Its as close as I have gotten to home cooked meal out of Nepal. As i know nepali cuisine, my expectations and standards for quality and taste for nepali food is always high. Vansha ghar does have one of the best.
This review is only based on home delivery so i dont know about the ambience and the look of the place. Yet, i am happy to give it a 5 outta 5.

This was the 1st time I was having Nepali cuisine...and the thali was so good...the gravy...dal...ghee rice...potato sabzi...all were so delicious...that I asked for the refill.
Same goes for the momos...so yum and big sized.
One of the best nepali cuisine found in Abu Dhabi , i am fan of Newari Khaja & Momos .. i tried Vansha Ghar and its awesome .... Dine in n also Delivery is awesome ... will try again n again :) .. Great Place with awesome staff

first time I been there in Vansha Ghar restaurant and it was really fantastic experience for Typical Nepali food . staff were very friendly , professional and well groomed . specially the food was amazing and all in one perfect everything .
I had tried veg chowmein and veg steamed momos.. momos were soft and delicious.. though the sauce can be improved.. the chowmein was simple and tasty.. pocket friendly and worth a try..

Chicken momo was awesome. Sorry,my plate looks empty because I ate all momos. This place is good for family 👪 and friends for eating and chatting together while listening to english ( why not nepali?) songs. All foods are reasonably priced and I can feel like coming here often more times due to quality and friendly service. Fridays are quite busy, but still on such busy day, service standard has the same level here. Best of luck for vancha ghar team.

This has become one of my go to spots for a simple and homely weekend thali. Their Momo's, chowmein and pakoras are pretty good. The outlet is small and a bit difficult to locate, but the search is totally worth it. A hidden gem.
Visited this place with my friend. Food isvery good special nepali cuisine. We tried steamed momo's , chilli momo's, Buff tass set and Chowmein. This is restaurant specially meant for nepali cuisine.Must try.

Went back here to order their chicken butter masala plus their special tea, masala tea- super loved it. Still, this chicken butter masala and chicken chili boneless are my faves. My boyfriend loved their choila thali, too!

Came across an very interesting place in heart of city as Vansha Ghar, a very simple restaurant were the waiters are always smiling,tryed their Chicken Momos must say very well done the taste was just delicious, followed by Chicken Thukpa traditional Nepali dish so yummy and last was the Chicken Chowmein to add it all not to miss their masala chai!
The portion served are fair enough to fill up for 02 people. Special thanks to our server(Nirmal) he was the rockstar who explained the food items from the menu, served food with a smile(which is rare to find).
Keep up the good service of staff and food, must say I am going to be regular customer.

VanshaGhar as the name suggests in Nepali Vansha means Kichen..and is truly a homely Kichen which serves good Nepali food.
We had egg curry, momos, vegetable Thai and other local Nepali dishes. Our overall experience was good. The place is clean. Pocket friendly. Good to try is the Nepali Masala chai and Samosa.. all in all a good food joint..
