I ordered for Chicken tawa (27) and fish tawa (20) in yesterday dinner. Both the dishes are extremely super. I can definitely ask anyone to must try these dishes here. 1 Chicken tawa plate quantity was sufficient for 3 of us. It was a dry dish. With this they also served a gravy. They gave nice crispy tandoori naan. I will definitely come here again.
Place is a hidden gem. Pocket friendly. Staff is humble. Though my friend told me it's a Banglorian restaurant but it has never disappointed my north Indian taste buds expect once with mughlai chicken.
Chicken Amritsari and Chicken Pahadi with tandoori roti is delicious. Mix raita was average.
Tandoori chicken is also good.
dont let the looks of this place fool you.

A home away home,Garden side restaurant in the tourist club area. Its our third visit to there,me and my friend ' tried the " veg kadai' , Dal tadka with tandoori roti,garlic naan,which is completely awesome. Its feel like we are having freshly home made food at home.
Staff and the manager are friendly,highly recommended to the all people's who loves to eat indian food.
Value for money place, that serves decent food. Their thali's are packed with items and the food is homely and easy on the palate and wallet.

We were the last customers entered at the last minute. The staff were very friendly and we had noodles. Have to say, one of the best noodles so far in Abu dhabi! Highly recommended!

We ordered Thali.Felt homely and it was cheap.Quantity was better compared to other veg rests in town.i felt the ambience was a bit dull and it made me feel as if am taking part in a funeral i don't know why .Recommended ?

Excellent homely Indian food, warm service and absolute value for money.
It would be hard to find better food than this at a lower price than what Garden Side offers. We discovered this quite by chance in the neighbourhood and decided to give it a shot. We have become regulars since!
Garden Side is an unpretentious restaurant opposite the Al Salama hospital, serving Indian and Indian Chinese fare. I have not tried the latter but as far as the Indian goes, it is superb. Their USP is home style fresh fare which is what one really wants on most days, and Garden Side is the place to go for Indian expats in Abu Dhabi craving this type of food without pinching the wallet.
The best value is the thali or set meal which is very tasty, generous in portion and variety for all of AED9!!! What is good is that none of the food is oily.
Rotis are freshly off the tandoor, and though this place is run by south Indians, their tandoor roti could give any north Indian dhabba a run for its money. They will bring you fresh juice from their sister Refreshments next door. A lot of bachelors are daily dinner customers here, and I can understand why.
We used to patronise the nearby Evergreen quite often but after trying Garden Side, our loyalties have switched.
Looking forward to many more meals at Garden Side.
