Had a lovely evening at Ushna! It was my first time here and everything was perfect from the hospitality of staffs to the food . A very classy ambiance having outdoor seating as well with a beautiful view.
What I ordered:
1) Tandoori platter- consisted of chicken,fish, prawns and lambchops . All was cooked well and delicious.
2) Garlic naan and Butter chicken- creamy butter chicken thats more on the sweeter note.
3)Tiger prawns- well marinated .
Our dessert was also specially made for us by the restaurant and we enjoyed it thoroughly!
It is amazing place from the reception till dessert 🤗. I remember before COVID-19 situation, if we forget to book there is long waiting list! I hope everything return like before.

I’m a big fan of curries. My better half and I went for a bite, mainly because I was craving a peshwrari nan bread (the sweet one) and Ushna does a ‘saffron’ nan bread thats about as close to a peshwari nan as you can get in AD.
We ordered onion bhajis, chicken masala and a lamb du-pyaza. Spot on, tender, flavourful, and not greasy, wonderful freshness to the curry. I’ll be back.
Had dinner at Ushna this evening with hubby as we haven’t been here in ages. We ordered a lamb curry and a chicken masala curry and they were hands down the best curries we’ve had in Abu Dhabi. My husband loves his curry and just fell in love with the lamb, it was so tender and the curry sauce was just perfectly mixed. My chicken masala curry was so full of flavor and we can’t wait to come back. The ambiance was also nice and staff was very accommodating. Faiza was wonderful and so very helpful. She was able to accommodate for the curries we chose. We couldn’t have been happier
This place opened recently up after lock down and we were looking forward to visit for a while.
Quiet Thursday afternoon, crowds are yet to pick up and ambience was serene.
On food perspective, Achaari paneer was top notch and fresh ingredients. Will recommend okras as another best vegetarian option to try.

I really don’t know where to start this review from tbh. This is probably the best Indian restaurant I have tried in a very long time, lived in Abu Dhabi for 8 years and have visited many places here. Everything about this place was absolutely perfect.
Everything on the menu looked so appetizing that we decided to just leave it on our server to guide us to the best dishes Ushna has to offer. We started of with two very refreshing mocktails- Passion Fruit Mojito and Pomechy (they even served us a delightful welcome drink called the sunshine that packed citrus earthy flavours). For starters, we tried their assorted non-veg platter, consisting of three types of kebabs- Rampuri Seekh Kebab, Malai Tikka and Chicken tikka. The sheekh kebab was absolutely mind blowing. The kebabs, the best of the best. We even tried the trio tacos- and wow! So glad we did. Perfect crunchy parathas filled luscious stuffing.
For the mains we tried the Nawabi Ghosht Nihari, Labdar tikka chicken, Daal Makhani and Fried rice with mushroom. The Nihari was fall of the bone tender. So light and yet so perfect. Just pure comfort. The lababdar Chicken Tikka was such a delight, very different from the usuals. The Daal Makhani again was probably the best I have had anywhere in the UAE.
This alone gives this restaurant a total 5 ⭐️ But the thing that makes it a 10 is their service.
The service just couldn’t get any better. We were hosted by Mr. R.S Rana who was an absolute gem of a person. Thank you for guiding us!

Overall ushna is an luxury treat as I mentioned in starting of my review. From Ambience to Food quality everything perfect. Best part is this Restaurant is owned by Local and managed by Irani management. Even though they are delivering and keeping this restaurant and foods in Indian classic style. 80% of the patrons are Arabs and Europeans.
Warm hospitality of Ushna Team need to mention here. Every time Restaurant manager and attender taking us the feedback of the food we got served. Their suggestion and menu introduction was very helpful to tasting the dishes.

Amazing atmosphere and food
A chic indian joint in upmarket souq qaryat al beri. They serve authentic north indian and mughlai cuisine with all well known dishes on menu. Baby lamb leg is one of the best in town. Tikkas are succulent and with proper spice level. Water side outdoor seating in winter season provides a lovely dinner setting. They are on entertainer.
Great food and service. Ravi was excellent and went above and beyond in looking after our needs especially in catering for the different requirements and his suggestions were spot on.

Went for lunch first time on 18 Feb and yes Ushna was the right choice. Right from the start the view, food, service everything was perfect. Specially Ravi service was excellent. The starter, delicious food and the birthday surprise wish and treat for my friend by the Ushna Team was a delightful touch with a wow factor. What a memorable experience!! Undoubtedly a great experience with such a polite staff. We were welcomed with humble greetings a d tasty complimentary dishes. We reached there and was greeted and escorted by a female within the restaurant to assist us with a good seating option. Once we were seated, within 2 minutes the server Mr. Kuldeep greeted us and asked us what we would like to have. He suggested we start with drinks followed by starters and main course. We opted for a Strawberry Virgin Mojito followed by Murgh Shorba (Soup). After placing the order, we were immediately served with Papads and pickle as a part of the complimentary side. After waiting for a while the mojito had arrived with two small complimentary shots of welcome drink (Strawberry Lemon drink) which was served in the shot glasses. The virgin mojito was too icy and we did not like it however the next 3 minutes we were served with the soup. The soup was above average. I wish they had more variety in soups. I asked Mr. Kuldeep to serve us some more papads to which he responded positively and got some more. While having the soup, he asked us about our choices for main course to which we ordered a Murgh Tikka Masala along with some naan. I had clearly told him to make the dish spicy, yet it was sweet. I called Kuldeep and asked him to make this spicy. He instantly went and got the dish back in 2 minutes, making the gravy a little spicier. After consuming one naan, the chef came towards our table and asked for a feedback to which we told him positively that the food is good. Furthermore, we ordered a prawns gravy and he got us some complimentary mini breads. The dish was amazing. We then ordered Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani as we had enough of the gravy. It was served well and we thoroughly enjoyed the dish. We decided to opt for some desserts and ordered Ushna special dessert, which was served well. We loved the chocolate cake piece so much that we ended up ordering another dish that solely comprises of chocolate cake. The cake was flavorsome and extremely fresh. It was one of the best cakes I had in recent times. I personally called Mr. Kuldeep and told him to convey the team that the cake was amazing. I went to the washroom and noticed that it was spick and span. While asking for the bill, we went towards the outdoor dining area and noticed how the customers were served in open areas. The staff was generous and helpful. Since we were full, there was some food which we told the staff to pack and parcel it. This helped me to understand how they serve take-away orders. They packed it in tight plastic containers along with tissues, cutlery and a brown paper bag. At the time of billing, Mr. Kuldeep asked me whether I have a Shukran card as it gives 20% discount. I positively gave him the card and he applied the discount. It was really nice of him to inform that they are running an offer. It helped us saved some money as we ordered many dishes to try so the bill amount had gone huge. Upon leaving the table, the manager, server and the lady who welcomed us stood near the exit area to individually thank us - which I feel was extremely warm and friendly. Usually in fine-dining areas, you are not treated with so much warmth and care. They displayed immense affection and told us to visit again. It was indeed a good experience.
Theres not a single thing I didn't like. The welcome, the quick service, the mouth watering food, the drinks which were complimentary.
We had Biryani, chaat platter, paneer sabzi and naan. All the dishes beyond amazing. The view from the restaurant is a plus.
We ordered Rampuri paya biryani, Naan, Ushna chicken curry, Tamatar fish curry, Classic CTM chicken tikka masala. The best naan I ever had, flaky, soft, tasty and easy to break. Rampuri paya biryani was tasty and rich in flavor. The tamatar fish curry was tasty and had balanced flavor however let down by the fish. Ushna chicken was very tasty and had a unique flavor not as thick as most curries. The best was the chicken tikka masala. The staffs were friendly as well.
Food - We ordered the chaat platter, Ushna feast, dum biriyani. Chaat platter was the best out of all the items we tried. Biriyani was good but the grill items were average. 4/5

So Qaryat Al Berry is my stop over in my journey to Sir Baniyas Island. Since i have to be careful with my sensitive tummy. Indian food might be a challenging decision, but who would miss a 4.5 rated restaurant in a walking distance. Fresh appearance. Great beach view, but a bit of unenthusiastic welcome. We chose our table, I wanted to have something different from the usual indian dishes. I ended up having them again as my wife was in charge of the menu. But hey! I had my tikka masala lobster. We had a samosa as an appetizer. Chicken biryani and butter chicken. We’ve started with the indian crackers(apologies i don’t know how to call them) beside the 4 kinds of chutney/sauces. Yeah thats a mouth watering start and very light too, strong in flavor. Followed by the samosa that I found very basic, in fact i had a better one in Chennai’s airport food booths. The main courses came afterward, food was just awesome. Did my own combo, mixing up everything that was on the table. NASTY !! The biryani wasn’t Hyderabadi one as it was only spiced rice with chicken. Yes i had a biryani in hyderabad and i was in a coma for a week after that. The service was easy going (indian way). There when needed, people checking on us occasionally. Everything was on time!! I think the prices are ok for this food compared to other high end indian places. Special regards to mrs. Durga, she took a good care of us. I wish her all the best.

Beautiful place - a very classy atmosphere to dine in. Coming straight to food, we tried the ushna chaat platter - 5/5 (loved it, I am chaat fan so may be that’s why). We were served with complementary pappads and a strawberry lime shot drink. We plunged right into main course after the chaat platter - ordered dal tadka - 5/5, chicken chettinad -3/5( nice curry, lacked a bit of salt and no punch in the curry to be honest), garlic naan - 4/5 (please be careful because the size of the naan is quiet big) and we are thankful for the lady who assisted us - she stopped us from ordering more.We also ordered paratha - 4/5(more like kulcha actually, but tasted good), gosht Biriyani - 5/5 (must must try, tender mutton and really flavorful, it’s a bit oily for my liking but the meat soo succulent). We were sooo full that could not order any desserts. Overall, I would give this place 4/5

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday, actually it was second choice, we had originally meant to go to noodle House, before we learnt it was closed, which turned out to be a blessing as we found this great place instead. Awsome place with a wide variety of menu, went last year to celebrate my birthday they arranged a small cake and some yummy juice on the house. The staff sung Birthday song for me and made the evening a perfect one. Staffs - Ann, Jomi and Kamalesh were awsome. The restaurant belongs to Landmarkgroup so earn and burn Shukran points with a special discount for Shukran card holders. I love the ambiance and the view of sheikh Zayed Mosque. Must visit Restaurant in the town. Food was delicious, we ordered Dal Makhani which was creamy and authentic. Paneer tikka and Galouti kebabs were fresh and mouthwatering soft.
My fifth visit to this place, and this time too with international guests (Dutch, Russian, Latin Americans, Syrians etc) who crave for authentic food. The Ushna Chat Platter is a steal - do try it. The Classic Tikka Masala and Peshawari Naan is my all time favourites. And the coffee and black tea with mint are the perfect finishers. The setting is picturesque and we spent only 3hours for the dinner, gorging on Indian food in a truly French manner.
It has an amazingly beautiful location with a perfect view of sheikh zayed mosque. The interiors are perfectly done. The service is good. We had pomegranate lychee mocktail which was ok and virgin mojito which was good(a tad bit too sweet). Ushna tandoor sampler was delicious. Dal makhni and paneer lababdaar were good too. Garlic Naan was good but the layered parantha was a little dry.

The ambiance is romantic and has a very fresh atmosphere. This is a good place to go with family.
The staff are very friendly and help you choose what dishes would suit your taste buds.
The service standards are very high.
Amazing food and service , since 2015 I been randomly visiting ushna whenever I visit Abu Dhabi. Their food and service is always been high standard. Thanks to the chef that he added more veggie options in the menu. I missed some regular faces from the waiters this time so I was bit worried But our waiter was the guy from Sri Lanka Mr Ramlan he was very polite and courteous and he proved that I don’t need any regular faces there as all are super stars there. Will visit again on next Abu Dhabi trip

One of the finest Indian restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Ideal location, excellent food and service. Been to Ushna twice but both were during summer. Will be going back again for outdoor seating to appreciate the amazing view.
The food was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating! The service was also very nice! I love Indian food but I don't know everything and the staff helped me to pick the most delicious platters. I absolutely going back.
We went there for my birthday a week ago.
The online reservation process through zomato was a breeze. I got a callback and confirmation in under a minute and were seated promptly when we arrived.
My main gripe was with the extremely smelly napkins, we requested for new ones and they too turned out to smell like dirty wet mops. Guys, wash your napkis, please.
Besides the napkins and some quite loud people seated next to us, it was enjoyable.
Their food is quite delicious and their service is prompt, we even received 3 complimentary drinks during the course of our meal. We loved the selection of sauces and the portions were quite generous.
I would however like to see better seating segregation. Please do not seat couples next to large party tables, the former require a quiet meal and the latter a fun night out. They do not mix well together.

We were a table for 3, and had pre reserved a table for us in their open area facing the mosque.
We enjoyed the food thoroughly along with the beautiful and scenic view of amazingly lit mosque.
They have lip smacking food and we being cent percent Vegetarians, enjoyed it to bits.
Staff is amazing and fantastic at suggesting you in case needed.
A must go for place and don't worry abt it's pricing, it's worth for it.

Not every place deserves a 5 rating. Ushna is one of those places where all I could think of throughout is “Perfection” . Not only the food was amazingly great, it was an amazing experience over-all. Out of everything else, being a Bengali, i loved the Daab Chingri, it was something to die for. I specially called for the chef and thanked him saying that I never had such an amazing one in bengal even. Ushna is a must-try for Indian food lovers. And to top it all, the location is brilliant with the amazing view of the beautiful Sheikh Zayed mosque. Loved every bit of it and will definitely visit again!
The place is very good, offering a breathtaking view of sheikh zayad mosque. Amazing indian delicacies served in right quantities. Flavours are rich. They specially prepared jain food for us. Must visit place. Dal makhani is very delicious, a must order.
I started typing 3 different statements for praising but all of them remain understated, it was one of most amazing dining experience, staff was just so pampering that we didn’t even feel like going back from there, we ordered for daab chingri(just superb), daal makhni, chicken tikka masala(heart winning) and Channa masala and everything so balanced and amazing that I can go writing about it, tropical fruit salad just mouth watering.
Great stuff guys, keep it up.

One of my favourite places in Abu Dhabi. Fine dining at its very best. Perfect food and a great ambience with excellent views of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Been here many times and look forward to going back soon!
Great Ambience, great food... specially outdoor siting overlooking the mosque. The tandoori broccoli starter is outstanding.
The staff is nice, hospitable and friendly. Definitely worth a visit for Indian food lovers .

Found this place on Zomato & decided to go here for dinner. We reserved a table few days prior and they called me few mins before the time I was supposed to arrive, to make sure I was on the way which is very professional of them. When we arrived, I think we got one of the best seats outdoors, over looking one of the most beautiful view of the spectacular Sheikh Zayed Masjid. The weather was quite great on the day we had gone too. I can’t speak enough of the Dakshin Murgh, a chicken starter dish. I’ve never had anything so exquisite as this dish. I still crave it to this day. Next we had Murgh Lababdar which is a semi gravy chicken curry & Jeera Rice. We didn’t think since it was a semi gravy dish, it’ll be sort of dry with the rice, but it tasted decent. The server did mention to us, but we didn’t think through it much. Wish we would’ve ordered something more gravy like that’d suit the rice. They gave us complimentary chocolates when the bill was served. The service was really really good. The price for the portion & ambiance is very fitting. This is a place is perfect for a night of a special occasion, especially pre or post winter night, if you’d like outdoors.
Gorgeous looking restaurant. The ambience of the place is just superb. The staff and service are veryy veryy nice and helpful. They have really nice arrangments for events like anniversary, birthdays etc for no extra charge. The only draw back is the food, which could use improvment. 3.5/5 for food taste.
Food is really tasty and takes you through colorful journey you've never imagined. Service was great, especially Ravinder who has no problem going the extra mile for you!

Been here for dinner and I would say this is the best Indian restaurant in whole Abu Dhabi.. The starters especially the chicken tikka was so perfect and amazing. Very peaceful atmosphere and authentic Indian food, great staff and good value for money. Def. a hidden gem for all Indian food lovers and for sure going back to this place soon :)

My biggest mistake is that I forgot to ask name of the girl who was serving us she is the kindest person on earth...my daughter is 6 months old and was bit grumpy when we visited restaurant and was not ready to sit so my husband and I were standing and eating so the one who was serving us gave her so many toys and she took her so that we can sit and eat.. I just loved what she did that day so we could enjoy our dinner..
Ambience- very beautiful interiors, nicely decorated, view of sheikh Zayed grand mosque.. perfect in short
Food- loved it, had aloo tiki chat which was delicious, overall food was good

Execellent service and very good quality food. Restaurant has been quiet both times I have been. It is in the entertainer so works out very reasonable price. Complimentary popadom starters with the best dips I have tasted at an Indian. With two main courses there is enough to take home for the next day! I suggest sharing a starter.

This restaurant is probably the first one to get a 5* rating based on my experience there.
I visited the restaurant on the 21st of September, my wife’s birthday. We had not informed them of this.
My wife and me discovered this casually strolling at the Souk during our stay at the Shangri-la hotel.
Based on Zomato’s ratings we decided to give it a shot. Without reservation we went there and the hostess was kind enough to get us a table and engage in a bit of a conversation too.
A while later we had our order taken and a customary welcome snack provided. Since this was our first time to the restaurant, they added in a glass of rose-lemonade, which was quite tasty.
Our order was a simple vegetarian one - Kadhai Paneer and Dal Makhani with two Butter Naans.
The food was served within reasonable time and it was quite delicious. The Paneer was soft and tender; it had absorbed the gravy well. The gravy itself was good without being oily and loose.
The Daal Makhani, the chef's speciality was wonderdully cooked. The right texture made spicy without it losing the overall flavour in any way. It was rich, but not heavy. Truly it was the chef's speciality.
The Butter Naans were quite soft and not rubbery. The other thing worth mentioning is the size of the naans! They were quite big from what we usually get here.
Overall the food cooked seemed to been made using ghee and not oil as is the case usually. From the paneer to the daal all the way to the naans.
The portion sizes were generous and is perfect for a family of three or four, excluding the naans of course.
The restaurant's ambience and decor was quite lovely the kitchen was visible and it looked clean.
Our waiter Ravinder, didn't just serve but engaged in light conversation and ensured that the restaurant gave off the impression that they weren't just serving food for money. Ravinder, on finding out it was my wife's birthday took the initiative to make it special. He had the chef whip up something (I think it was a halwa cheese cake) and had a team come up with it and serve it, all the while singing Happy Birthday. It truly made the whole experience special and was much more tham what we had expected of the place.
The whole experience was wonderful and kudos to the team for making us feel special not just for the cake but for the overall high levels of service.
The food, ambience, decor and people there definitely did a great job!
If you are in Abu Dhabi or keep frequenting it, this restaurant is a must try for sure.

they can cater for people who is alergic to dairy,nut,sesame or ghee!My 9 year daugther who is alergic to dairy and nuts had one of her best carry meal ever!...we all had a great meal without a single problem which was a very pleasant experiance!
I am a very fussy eater and I couldn't find anything to fault this place;)
