(التعليق الأصلي) The food here is authentic and very well priced. If you want to try the coastal cuisine of south India when in Abu Dhabi, then this is the place. We tried the stuffed pomfret, crab curry and the prawns balchao. All were magnificent, as was the lime soda. The naans were a little thin and crispier than what we are used to but that did not detract from their flavor. The mango lassis were also good. The place is easy enough to find. The restaurant is clean and has baby chairs. The service was fast and attentive. They also packed up our food to take home with us when we couldn’t finish. Overall I would definitely try this place again when in Abu Dhabi.

We ordered hydrabadi mutton but they delivered hydrabadi chicken it doesn't matter but hydrabadi food neans rich in spices and flavour but this one doesnt have any of it . There after we ordered Thandoori chicken but its take 30 min more and not prepared ll that masala was was very bad no spicy and meat is not cooked well but its outside is get roasted and not cooked properly . We payed around 90 dhs for this 2 itesm and rottis that means its jst waste of our money and time . I never suggest this hotel to anyone. Dont go and dont waste your money . Very expensive and very bad food . Very bad experience.

Not that happy with the ambiance of the restaurant no music nothing food was also not up to the standards price that we paid I would rather prefer to go to a cafeteria and eat their food taste much better as a Goan I known how our food taste from 10 I will rate only 6 for the taste very much disappointing

Hamour fish tikka and Bombil fry are the top starters. In veg. starters, Kurkure Bhindi is crispy and tasty. King fish tawa fry, bangda fry and pomfret fry are best fish fries. Malvani fish curry and Goan prawns curry in fresh coconut base is very tempting and a perfect combination with piping hot steamed rice. Clams masala (teesrya masala) and crab roast masala are superb. Neer dosa is very fine thin soft dosa made from rice flour which melts in the mouth and tastes good with the curries. They have kombdi vade only on fridays which is spicy chicken curry with round fried vadas which is a Konkan special and a must try. The kokum sol kadhi is the best digestive drink and a coolant you must try in Konkans and you dont get this in other restaurants. Although Konkans is famous for sea food dishes, it also has a wide spread of vegetarian, chicken and lamb items to try from. We visit Konkans only for sea food. So next time you have a craving for sea food, try Konkans.

While the Chicken sweet corn soup was good, the manchow soup was quite salty. I had requested to avoid green chillies in Veg Manchurian. So I think they added extra red chilli powder which made the Manchurian super spicy and we couldn't eat it. It would have tasted good without the extra red chilli powder. Egg fried rice was too bland and dry. Had a good experience earlier but don't know what happened this time.... Hope this was a one off case...

This is one of the old gems of Abu dhabi and they provide one of the decent fares of goan /Manglorean cuisine.<br/>We had ordered the chicken lollipop, anjal Tawa fry and schwezan chicken noodles. All the items were nice. I only felt that the Pomfret could have been more fresh. Nonetheless the portions are sizeable

The most disgusting staff , who do not have customer service ethics, so unprofessional this is not acceptable, always they have problem with delivery time , late by 39 min. I STRONGLY DO NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE !

We have ordered chicken Vandaloo from this restaurant , and to our surprise we see a combination of chicken and fish together, which is totally not acceptable and ethical. This makes us wonder what does behind the closed doors of the kitchen, despite being regular customers and giving the feedback there was no action given. Would like to warn everyone thinking to visit this restaurant.

The food is tasty, but can really lose the amount of oil added! Note that in the attached picture, the chicken curry came floating in a pool of oil, and I had to discard the top layer entirely :/

Awesome place to have konkani food... It reminded of homely food back in India. Nice , clean and calm ambience. Proper on time service , friendly staff & awesome food. Prices are quite high and quantity is quite less.

We ordered chicken lollypop as starter, schezwan chicken fried rice, king fish biriyani as main course and carrot halwa as dessert. All the dishes tasted soo good. My husband liked the fish biriyani soo much that he commented that the fish biriyani he had was the best fish biriyani he had recently. Our baby also enjoyed the food. I was excited to see a Mangalorean restaurant and walked in for lunch. I ordered the mackerel fish curry with rice.<br/><br/>On the first bite, I felt the fish was not fresh. There were still 2 pieces untouched and I requested the staff to check. What disappointed me was their lack of willingness to either replace or atleast check why the fish was stale.<br/><br/>I ended up just having rice and curry, paid the full bill and walked out without enjoying the touch of Konkans.

I was craving chicken lollipop on one of the days and konkans did the trick for me as it happened to be nearby. I liked the dip on the side and as for the lollipop itself, they were good - more or the chicken and less of the coating thankfully. They were good but definitely not the best ones out there.<br/>I really want to go back to konkans and try their sea food as that is what they are famous for primarily.

Great and authentic coastal food in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Was quite a surprise! Tried the kombdi wadi, prawns sukha, ghee rice, prawns balchao. Highly recommended

Hopeless food!!! I ordered chicken curry boneless & chicken was not at all cooked. I called the restaurant the person who received my call was like I will tell the chef I asked him to replace it and they were like delivery person is busy n all. On top of that he asked me u cannot manage to eat it???? How anyone can manage to eat uncooked chicken? And was not ready to replace the dish.. I will Never order from this restaurant for sure...

The best Mackerel rechado i have ever had!!! The fish here is so fresh. The tawa prawns literally melted in my mouth! Please try their stuffed mackerel in green mixture as thats very different and very tasty! Lastly we had prawn curry which was also so flavorful. I live in dubai and i would come to AUH just to eat their food its that good!!!

Ordered Fish Malasa Fry (Mackrel aka Bangda) masala was good, but the fish was Frozen and was smelling, definately it wasnt fresh.moreover as i told the waiter, he tool the same made it more cooked and served again, but still the bangda was smelling alot.<br/>Charges are too high...! when u charge customer so high try to serve the quality of food.

This was second visit to konkans,coz the 1st try was amazingly good,so I go there again to try more dishes,we ordered hammour fry,to my surprise we were served dory fry,very disappointing experience it was,other than that reachad squid was very nice service is good,would go there again to try something other than hammour

Fish Hyderabadi tikka - it is marinated with black pepper. The fish used was frozen hamur. It was hot and spicy.<br/>Chicken tikka Biriyani - the rice was flavored well. However the chicken tikka was not very tasty. So overall the Biriyani was not that great. <br/>Daal tadka and bhendi fry was tasty. Not very spicy.

We ordered komdi wadi, which is available only on Friday. I heard many times about this dish in Maharashtra, but got chance to have in Abu Dhabi. The curry taste is good but not much spicy as I expected. After having 2-3 stuffed puri, feeling to heavy. Order and staff response is very quick.

The manager is Rude and doesn't know how they should talk to someone.<br/>We had lunch in konkans and ordered another 5 dishes for parcel as we were leaving for dubai amd wanted to jave the food in the car. 2 of them were really pathetic, 1. chicken 65 - no taste and no smelled felt like cooked from stale masala 2. tom yum soup- with very very sour as if having too much of raw mango taste. we were put for leisure and in good mood so we decided to pack the food and ask for return as it wasnt possible for them to bring the food to the shailh zayed highway neither i had time. we have been a regular customers as its very near to our residence so we expected them to be understanding. I kept the food refrigerated so that its taste remains the same and the next day i returned the food to restaurant (only 2 items) and was assured by the receptionist that they will replace/ accomodate the food when i visit next time.<br/><br/>when i visited today for lunch, the manager (around 12.30 pm refused to tell his name ) denied the fact that was food was bad, he even said the chicken 65 had right amount of salt and flavour and the tomyum was just fine. even after waiters and staffs told him that i am a regular customer and i dont complaint the manager didnt believe me and lied on my face. the worst tbingis they didnt fulfill the commitment which i expected that they will. I have never seen such patheric manager and such type of rude behaviour from any staff till date. They are so cheap that for just 40 50 AED they changed their words and commitment. #Shame on #Konkan's

Nice test and polite staff. We ordered crispy Bhendi as starter for first time, which was something new taste for us as starter and kids and enjoyed eating. <br/><br/>Baingan bharta and veg tawa masala was very good as main course.

I would say very clean and hygienic restaurant ever . The service is outstanding , like fine dinning !!! Waiters are professionals good English . Food is so authentic and fresh . My fav dish is tandoori chicken !!! The best tandoori I ever had in my life !!! I would recommend for friends and family this is a best place in abudhabi !!!

My mangalorean friend took me here and I was highly impressed!<br/>The service was super fast and friendly, explaining some dishes I was unsure about as I was a first timer experiencing this cuisine.<br/>We ordered a seafood appetizer which was delicious, perfect amount of spices, not too strong.<br/>And chicken biryani for main which came piping hot and fresh. Ordered their Malvani Fish curry which way to spicy, Ordered King fish masala fry instead they sent Tawa fry. Chicken Tikka masala was too tangy.

Konkans is one restaurant which is highly talked about within friends of people originating from the konkan belt. It does come across as a good choice for Maharastrian, Mangalorian food. I tried the chicken biriyani and it was quite nice with the right quantity of spices. The serving size is pretty decent too. Would be a bit of a struggle if you are a vegetarian though....

Best Konkan food I ever had. I can smell sea from the sea food. Tawa fish was crisplicious. Sol kadi was scintillating in every sip. Fish curry was full of flavors. Chapati was soft. I also had steamed rice with fish curry (a must try).<br/>Service is prompt and ambience is soothing.<br/>A Perfect place for fine dining with friends and family.

Loved the Crab sukha and the fish Biryani. the staff is friendly and the place is clean. would have been a five but my personal preference is for less oil. Plenty of items to try and i will be back.

Expectation were quite high hmmm but sadly it couldn’t met up to even its edge .. <br/><br/>Chicken sukka was perfectly spiced thankfully but everything else lacked salt & spice .. which didn’t lift up the favor Squid sukka was cold & rubbery , chewy unfortunately we couldn’t eat it more of masala less of seafood .. <br/><br/>Good Portion of rice & curry good enough for 2 person , Delivery was hassle free .. <br/><br/>Quality- 3⭐️<br/>Quantity- 3⭐️<br/>Value for money- 3⭐️<br/><br/>Would like yo give an another chance by visiting Konkan’s Restaurant.. My husband and I ate here couple of weeks ago and loved the food. I’m part Mangalorean, and the food was very much like the food I grew up eating. Will go here again and again! We went on a Friday so I got to eat the Friday special kombdi wade which was awesome! And the sol kadi was really nice too...as were the neer dosas, fish curry and fried fish we had. Amazing find!

Best sea food place with konkan tadka. Food serve with soul curry. Different size of crab to choose and it will be prepared according to your taste.

Out of all th dishes ordered from here a north Indian dish was good out of the lot. Chicken tikka masala and had a similar taste as other restaurants nothing special.i brought a bread basket and every type was like rubber after it got delivered. Malvani curry was a watery curry with spices only average

In general the food and the service is outstanding.<br/><br/>Now specifics - The King Fish Malvani Curry - Beyond words to describe; I just love it. And the fact that Konkans actually customizes it to my taste (extra red hot n spicy), it makes this the best fish curry in this town.<br/><br/>A definite recommendation.

The staff there were really friendly and caring. They knew what there job was and did it really well. In addition, the food served had great flavors in them, which made me really like this place. However, the food was served a little later than i was used to in other restaurants and the complimentary papad was a little soggy (probably because i was the last costumer)

Had an amazing dinner this weekend! I was bored of trying out Mughlai, South Indian n North Indian restaurants and was looking for a change. Konkans was the answer. Konkani cuisine is special for fish lovers. It’s a mix of coastal Maharashtrian, Goan and Mangalorean tastes. <br/>They have a special menu on Friday. Tried their Kombdi Wadi( special pooris with spicy chicken gravy), stuffed Pomfret( Pomfret Fish stuffed with green chutney which was amazing) and Chicken Chatpata ( a tangy and spicy chicken gravy) with Rotis. Since I was quite famished, I didn’t wait to click pictures to update on Zomato... we tried their Gadbad for Desert which was really good! <br/> The food items are reasonably priced and is great value for money. The staff is very attentive and explain the menu very well. The food arrived on the table promptly even though it was a weekend and the restaurant was full. This is a must for Fish lovers and for those looking for a taste of authentic Konkani food.<br/>

Absolutely loved this place. Its such a pity i live nowhere close to it, or else I’d visit them almost everyday. This place and some of the dishes we ordered were recommended by a friend. The service was quick as well. <br/>Coming to the food, we ordered masala papad, rechad king fish, goan prawns curry with steamed rice, squid masala and a few butter naans and lachadar parathas. There wasn’t one thing that I didn’t dislike. Everything on the table was as authentic as it could get and as yummy as it can be cooked. I’d have to pick the fish and squids if you asked for the best, though the prawns were almost equally good too. <br/><br/>Overall, highly recommended for those of you who loves some konkan side food.

We had ordered for king fish fry, Goan fish curry, Neer dosa, Muglai Paneer tikka and Paneer makhanwala. <br/><br/>The fish fry was average since it was bit on burnt side, it was disappointing. The fish curry was good while the paneer makhanwala was sweet and below average. Mughals paneer tikka was fine. <br/><br/>The delivery was more than 1 hour<br/><br/>Overall an average place with high rating.<br/><br/>

Oodles of noodles and very tasty. Hot and sour soup- really spicy and nice. Order delivered way ahead of time.

I have been coming to this place since 6 months and I have never been disappointed here even for veg food. This restaurant has every thing for everyone. It’s total value for money also the ambience is cool.

The food and service was super .<br/><br/>We had their sol khadi drink refreshing must try .<br/>As starters had their crispy bhindi fry .<br/><br/>Fish tawa fry and neer dosa and Goan fish curry <br/><br/>If you crave for konkan, goan cuisine this place serves it .

Great place to have Konkan cuisine. We usually go for Pompret tawa fry, fish curry with some neer dosa and sol kadhi to end with ....The food taste is top notch and service is also quite good.<br/>Would definitely recommend this place !!

I am from Maharashtra and this place has so many amazing served dishes from Konkani! The perfectly cooked chicken curry and succulent Kansas and softest chapati reminds me of feast at home! Yummmm

A must visit place if you are craving for some authentic Malwani and Goan cuisine. Other food items other than konkani were not that great. I loved the Sol kadhi. We also tried kolbi vadi, surmai fry, bangda fry and kombdi vada. The vadas were delicious along with the dry fish salad which was quite appetizing. The staff and the ambience were pleasant. Will surely recommend it.

We were here today , out of curiosity to relish some Goan and konkan dishes , searched zomato and decided to Visit Konkans.<br/>Food- We ordered #Bangrarechad and to be honest this one of the best mackerel fish I got eat after a very long time. The Clams and Sukhat chutney with coconut was an add on to really take us back to the coastal western ghats.<br/>#Solkari took me back to my days in Goa, nice balanced flavours.<br/>Overall food taste great.<br/><br/>Service- Overall service is excellent, the staff is very attentive. Decor and hygiene standards are up to a very decent standard.<br/><br/>Price wise- This is place is super satisfying , Dishes are moderately priced and we actually have the view that tastes does a great justice.<br/>Summary- One of the best places to visit if you want to relish on Malwan-konkan speciality food.

I went to konkans after hearing about this restaurant from my friend. we ordered Bombil fry,kombadi Wade and Malvani Hammour fish curry.<br/>All tested Very Good.<br/>Its typically Konkans restraurant with authentic Konkani,malvani food.<br/>Service is also Nice. A must visit Restaurant for Konkani food lovers.

I wasn't expecting such a nice experience.<br/><br/>Honestly I've been visited a lot of places similar to this one: neighborhood Indian restaurants.I always go because they have good and tasty food in this kind of restaurants. But at the same time I've learned that I should not expect good quality services.<br/><br/>Well this place is really different because at someone will open your door and say welcome when you come in, they will check your table regularly to see if you need anything, everyone is kind and smiling and when you leave they will thank you for passing by. <br/><br/>And the food was indeed full of taste and fresh.<br/>I recommend this place for Indian food lovers.<br/><br/>

Average food their sukkah items are not at all up to the mark they need to replace their cook and hire someone from the Konkani region and improve their taste

Had this craving to have goan food so went to konkans. Decent restaurant with good ambience. Food was yummy, took me to my goa days. Servers were very polite.

Last weekend, we wanted to try a new cuisine and ended up at “Konkans Restaurant” - place for coastal and seafood lovers. The highlight of the day was Koliwada prawns .We also had Crab Sukha which was a bit pricey. The other dishes we ordered were Chicken chatpata, Butter chicken, Chicken lollipop and Chilly chicken and finished it off with Gadbad, the most popular ice cream in Mangalore. The food, service and ambience were pleasing. Have you tried any new cuisine lately?

4.5/5 for Juicy and smoky chicken tandoori. Something i love to order from this place.<br/><br/>Chicken maharaja was fine, like a 3.5. <br/>They have a different style, thick gravy and a heavy taste. Good for a change.<br/><br/>The service was good and staff courteous. You feel you are sitting in an Indian resturant. <br/>Ambience was good. A quiet place you can visit with your family without doubt.<br/>

It was a good experience having the Goan fish curry, prawn masala, steamed rice with lachadar paratha, cheese naan & stuffed kulcha. The Specialty faluda was tasty. It was topped with strawberry ice cream.

A Konkani friend of mine introduced me to this place. Had always loved her mom's food so that was an added reason to visit this place. The interior was neat and servers were quick and attentive. The food also tasted good, not sure if it tasted all authentic, but it was good!! Surely gonna visit this place again with family!!

We went to Konkans restaurant for dinner, if you want to taste traditional Konkan taste visit this place tandoori chicken is awesome. Staffs approach is very good and polite
