Tried their SHAWARMA and it was beyond the expectations. True Lebanese Shawarma wrapped in Kuboos........ Recommended for its taste, quantity and price. :) Thumbs Up.
We did a takeaway for a SEV PURI and a CHICKEN SHAWARMA from this outlet.
On special request we asked for the pani puri type of puffed puris for our order and they agreed ( which was nice)
Chicken Shawarma was nice too. A complementary Falafel was packed for us as a surprise!
Overall we would rate our experience 4/5.

Super chaat very authentic , specially the paani poori and paapri chaat . Seems right from the streets of New Delhi . 10 out of 10
About 8 years ago, this was the first place in Abu Dhabi where I tried South Indian delicacies and they have some delicious breakfasts in their menu. And to be honest they are quite good in what they offer. 👍
The street food of Tum fantastic India here in Dubai Abu Dhabi who is the always I have been dreaming off the food was completely mind blowing and so was the interiors and the theme of the cafe I love to have food here and I will visit this place regularly on every weekend possible I seriously recommend you this place
When you have come to nmc and that too empty stomach, the next place you should go to is this. I have been here every time I visit nmc.. even just for tea.. coz even tea here remind you of home. Next time you visit nmc empty stomach and searching for a good place to eat, give this place a try.. everything about this place is homely.

I tried several places in Abu Dhabi city for pani puri but was always disappointed till I tried it here. The pani puri here was probably the best I have tried in Abu Dhabi. I go here many a times for breakfast as well and their Sada Dosa, Masala Dosa and Poori Bhaji are our breakfast favorites.
Surprising how this small place has such lovely food. The food is always hot and fresh even when delivered. The place is clean and the staff is sweet. Dosa is available all day long which is honestly the best part for me unlike other places that only offer dosa for breakfast.
Yummy spicy chicken shawarma, really enjoyed it from many other places that we have tried and also the pani puri is good value for money! Theres so much more to try from here, looking forward!

This place offers great breakfast items (mostly south indian) and chats. We've been regular visitors for the last 4 years! A small cafeteria, but great food!

Was a little skeptical to go here when my husband recommended, but realised the cafeteria in the name is only to differentiate from the main Foodlands!! And also the ambiance was good from what I expected.
We asked for PANI PURI and SEV PURI, both were served on the table. They have the pani puri counters as well, if one wishes to have from there.
The SEV PURI was perfect, nice and crisp with the right balance of sweet and sour. The PANI PURI came with the puri's filled with aloo accompanied by meetha chutney, green chutney and the pani and it had to be made but with all permutations and combinations it still tasted sour and lacked that kick!!
But overall a good place for a small before meal snack!!

Recommend dishes: Falafel Sandwich which is decent, Non Veg Club sandwich which was decent too, Mini Tiffin which is great and really filling and you get a variety of things, Ghee Roast is okay not the best, Filter Coffee which is amazing! Bhel Puri isn’t as great the Arab Udupi one, Sev Potato Puri is average.
If one has to try out real taste of Mumbai style Idli Wada Sambhar, please visit Foodland restaurant, near NMC hospital, they make excellent South Indian snacks.
The restaurant is perfectly maintained with good seating arrangements and ambience. the ever-smiling staff and good service will force you to visit the place again and again.

Good place for south indian thali during lunch hours and their pani puri is superb. Staff is friendly and make you feel at home. The shawarma is another surprise element of the place.
I am not rating it four because of their interiors and ambience ! Of course it is average looking restaurant with nominal rates.
But 4 stars to their staff !
You won't find such children friendly, courteous staff even in top end five stars !

This is our favourite joint place for lunch in working hours. I come here often with work colleagues. Clean ambience, courteous staff who know our taste and favourites from the menu. Simple south Indian food served quick and clean. Not one of those typical work place joints which bang out food. This place is spacious and welcoming. All the Dosa's are fantastic and they also do Oil free dosa ,although its not on the menu.
Great service and very good dosas and snacks. Mini tiffin is nice too. Poori Bhaji was good. Really like this cafeteria. Simple South Indian food well done with a smile :)

Stopped at foodlands for a quick shawarma and wasn't really expecting much because of the way the restaurant looked. However, I must say it's one of the best shawarma"s I have ever had. To be honest, this restaurants food makes you feel like you are in the Middle East which I love!!! If you haven't been to foodlands for a shawarma you need to go try it out. I also had a chicken bryani from here and it was also really good.
The food is good and its really clean.
My favourite is the puri they have. They have a lot of combinations and all of them are worth a try.
Staff is very friendly and ambience is great.
Price is very reasonable and a must go place especially for families.
Foodland Cafeteria has much more than a cafeteria and is one of the finest south indian restaurant in MadinaZayed, on the backdrop it has lesser fame among peers, but serves the most delicious south Indian Food..
All they serve is good and worthy of a recommendation, however there are few which surely fulfill our taste buds, to name some, their dishes like Ghee Roast Masala Dosa, Uttapam, Mini Thali, and very recently we tried their lunch. All are worth a try..
The ambience of the restaurant is good with good sitting space apt for families and kids. To our surprise they also served good set of falafel sandwich. The place is inexpensive, and light on stomach too.

This cafeteria is situated right besides NMC hospital.Our Malaysian friend wanted to try something Indian and finally we ended up here.The Poori bhaji was delicious with the poori being oil-free & the potatoes just melting in your mouth.
I tried the Chapathi & fish masala with the fish masala being a disaster.The curry was watery and the fish had an off taste to it.The Butter chicken too was meh!
We also tried the pani puri which tasted good but the puris were really tiny.
Our meal ended with a neat coffee! Service was pretty good even with all the rush.Maybe next time i would stick to their masala dosas or puris.

To savor the taste of fresh South Indian staple dishes with economical pricing- Foodlands cafeteria is a go to place. Located conveniently right next to NMC building, it sells Dosas like hot cakes. They know their south Indian dishes well and it will always be served fresh. Snack items like pani puri and chat are equally good. Must try Mysore Masala Dosa. They are filling on your stomach and light on the pocket. Seating is ample however during rush hours you might still have to wait for a while before you can be seated.
Just like it's name, this place is all about the food!!! I would have never noticed it but my husband was craving a shawarma coming out from the doctor at NMC and wanted a quick takeaway. It's all about the taste sensation. Great, flavoursome, soul food with an authentic taste. Had a chicken shawarma and it was absolutely delicious and saucy, just mouth watering. The prices are also excellent. We will definitely be back to try some more from the menu! But I wouldn't sit in, the environment isn't good... so order in or stop by for a takeaway, they were extremely quick at making it!

Frequent customers here but always forget to write a review. Love and have tried all most all items on their menu. Apart from the quick and fresh food the staffs are very friendly and above all the place is always neat and clean.Would recommend this place to all who would like to have a crispy dosa or soft idli. Today had their yummy samosa filled with peas and potato masala.Also had Dahi Vada it's the meetha (sweet) one which definitely is a treat during the heat here.
Every weekend we head to foodlands cafeteria for our breakfast. They have maintained standard quality and food is delicious. Our favourite dishes are idli vada sambar and appam sabji. Also, love their evening snacks like goli bajje and dahi batata puri. If you are fond of chaats then do try their dahi batata puri. Its too good.
They do have lunch dinner set menu which is also nice. All their dishes are equally good.

Since this place is quite close to where I live, its one of my favourite spots for light snacks and south indian breakfasts. All the food tastes really good 👌. Their shawarma is amazing as well.
Recently , I tried their bhel puri and sev puri home delivery. The delivery charge of 5 dhs is too much I must admit, especially since my place is just a building away. If I had known this, I would have just gone down and bought it myself.
The cafeteria does seem a bit too pricy at times. For example, 1 piece of falafel costs 1 dh, but in all other restaurants u get atleast 3 pieces for 1 dh!
I would definitely continue eating from here, but never shall I buy falafel or get a home delivery done.
Simple , minimalistic but very well maintained decor with welcoming & attentive staff. Paani Poori overall was tasty but poori or golgappa was little hard. Dahi vada was excellent , Appam/Subji was delicious, Masala Uttapam & Idli were both wonderful. Over all very tasty south indian food & value for money. Recommended for a visit .@vikassyal
I love having my breakfasts here..Perfect ghee roast..crispy and big! The price is quite unreasonable.. But the dosa will make you forget about the prices! I honestly don't know what's in the menu because I always have ghee roast and tea.. Should really visit this place if u are a dosa person!

Food : ok so I ve tried the chats , shawarma, dals, fry fish, masala dosa's , poori kurma ( 5 puris in a plate not 2) and the mini tiffin will literally fill you up to the brim ... So many varieties in one plate and it's just 15 aed ! I loved it .. All of it !!
It's the only place I found which gives good fresh milk Tea and amazing filter coffee
And I ve to mention they have a limited menu but all of it is good and they are v reasonable with good portion sizes

First of all the tag 'Cafeteria' is really wrong for this place, despite being kinda small in terms of space the interior and ambience is better than most restaurants. The food looks good & tastes even better. We have been there a couple of times mainly for some quick snacks but never been disappointed. Many people don't know of the place much as it's kinda inside but it sure is one place to try out.

First of all sorry for posting this review so late. Had been really busy as i was away on a vacation and coming back and getting things started was too hectic. Well finally, here i am! Back to my beloved zomato and its time to review, what i feel is one of the hidden gems in Abu Dhabi. Starting with the Ambiance, which is just too good to call this place a "Cafeteria". I have seen a lot of restaurants with the atmosphere similar to that of a cafeteria but this one beats them all when it comes to Ambiance. Spacious and a friendly staff adds up good points for them. Coming to the food served here, Its Brilliant!
They mostly sell south indian delicacies like Masala Dosa, Vada, Idli and all but they also serve some really good and homelike Thali. For those who are wondering if this is a complete Veg Restaurant, Well its not. They serve Non veg too.
Evenings are the times you should try them out i would say because these people serve ONE OF THE VERY BEST SPICY SHAWARMA'S I have had in Abu Dhabi. That's a real buy if you ever happen to visit them.
Also go try their "Golibaji" which is a very famous Mangalorean snack (SImilar to Vada) which i doubt is available anywhere else, or if it is, i am unaware of it.
However, despite having tried nearly everything on their Menu, I always go for their Chicken Sandwich or Dahi Vada which is made exactly how i want it. SImple and Delicious.
Good news: They do have a special small room for families where you can sit and enjoy your snack without being bothered by anyone. Which cafeteria has that in them now!?

Their vegetarian meals for lunch = winner. So filling and tastes almost homemade.
This has been recently opened as a branch of Foodlands Restaurant in Madinat Zayed area in NMC Speaciality hospital building. The quality is superb with a good reduction in prices for the same snacks which were served in Foodlands Restaurant under the same management.
This is really worth the money you pay. The value can of the snacks like idli, dosa, uthappam etc will get more appreciated if they could give "Mulgapodi" which is given in Saravana Bhavan. "Mulgapodi" is basically a coarse powder of Clilly, Lentils etc and has a great taste with Idli, Dosa, Uthappam etc.

مطعم ارماني. يعتمد على العجين و الصاج. طعمه لذيذ و خفيف. اهم شي مافيه كمية عجين حلاوة الاكل و جماله يعتمد ان ينوكل في وقته لان ساخن وهش و لذيذ. تتوفر قائمة طعام لذيذه متوفرة بلغة الانجليزية فقط لان صاحب المطعم ارماني لكن موظف الاستقبال الطلبات فنان في شرح و وصف اطباق الطعام و القائمة المعروضه و راح يرشح لكم ألذ وأشهى الاطباع وكل الاطباق لذيذه و تستحق التجربه. تتوفر عندهم عصائر و لبن عيران المطعم يفتح من الساعه 9 الصباح حتى الساعه 10 بالليل و يوم الجمعه حتى الساعه 7 مساء و يوم الثلاثاء اجازة للموظفين. ينقص المطعم المواقف لكنهم سريعين في توفير الطلب و يوصل لك الطلب الى السياره اذا تحبون تبدون في الاكل على طول وهو ساخن مع كلمات و جمل منعشة من الموظف حبيت حماس و اجتهاد الموظف في تقديم الاطباق ماشاء الله واثق كثير من اكلهم وان بيعجب الزباين . عندهم خدمة توصيل داخل جزيرة ابوظبي. المطعم يستحق التجربة و كل شي عنده لذيذ و على الاصول 👌👌
