Do you ever just get a sushi craving in the middle of the day but can never trust a place to satisfy it? Well this is a different story! Granted, I ordered this via Uber Eats, they really did deliver.. in more ways than one.

A japanese restaurant inside the masdar university. They have an app where when I downloaded it I got free maki and you get to earn points when you dine to get free meals! I ordered the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura bento meal, it has a huge serving considering the price wasn’t that bad. The meal was really good. My dad ordered the ramen and he finished it all, he said it was good! Will definitely be back and try other stuff on their menu.
Always love their food. Especially the salmon bento and beef bento! Sushi and sashimi are also good. Although their ramen isnt the same ramen as what ive tasted from japan but the rest of the food is great. They also do deliveries and its not a long wait.
Ok! So this place is quite far from the city but still we managed to travel and dine in for so many reasons,
1st- Food wasn’t that expensive.
2nd- If you’re a tuna lover you should come this place coz they will satisfy your cravings.
3rd- The place isn’t that big but you’ll never feel crowded for some reasons, clean and a rose to your eyes.
4th- Staffs are all accommodating. Special mention to our server who did a good job tonight 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
And lastly, The quality of the food, always looks nice and taste like first time😍

This gem is in a hidden location and far from the main city at Abu dhabi. But each time we visit Sumo, it’s totally Worth the travel! Maki is very fresh and sooo good. I don’t like curry but not with #japanese curry!👌🏼teriyaki chicken will neve go wrong in my tummy as always. And wow the ramen looks very simple but comes in a generous serving and the taste is perfect! My kids loved it! #bento #sumo #maki #teriyaki

The Sashimi Platter is my go to platter whenever i visit this restaurant. They serve fresh and great tasting sashimi that rivals the best places in town. The wide variety of creative rolls exceeded my expectations. My favorite roll would be the Phoenix, the crunch from the salmon skin gives another level of texture. The salmon skin could be an appetizer for the next menu!
And my visit would never be complete without trying Gyoza!

i would recommend this if you want good value for you money , i take it like a japanese fast food, the cheicken teriyaki is really delicious, the other items is just average , tempura is not authentic but not bad.

The only branch of Sumo sushi and bento in Abu Dhabi is located in Masdar city, a short drive away from the international airport. Having lived in Masdar City for over 2 years now, Sumo has been my go-to spot for regular Japanese food cravings. Sumo has something for everyone, and it rarely disappoints.
