Hi,<br/><br/>This is about my recent visit to Pachayelan restaurant with my other 9 friends.<br/>Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were good 👍.<br/>Servers -very difficult to communicate and I guess they have reduced the number if staff as the service was poor and delayed.<br/>Starters, we ordered:<br/>Fried Tofu- bland and rotten<br/>Chicken dumplings- Good<br/>Main course<br/>Both Red Thai and Green Thai curry had no curry in it-only chicken hard pieces and rotten tofu.<br/>Also a shredded chicken stir fry was bland n no taste.<br/><br/>Highly expensive place and not worth of money at all for the kind of food n service they have.<br/><br/>Bill took 35mins to get sorted.<br/>

Currently on a staycation with my husband at Eastern Mangroves Anantara Abu Dhabi. For our dinner we planned to try the Thai restaurant and were not disappointed. Before the starter came in they served us with betel leaves along with condiments like ginger, onions, lime, red chilli, roasted coconut, peanut and sweet chilli sauce. The server helped us make one betel leaf along with all these condiments which was very unique and tasty too. <br/>Thereafter for starter we tried the grilled tofu along with peanut sauce. The tofu was properly cooked and the sauce was yummy when had along with the tofu. For the main course we had the vegetarian green curry with jasmine rice and phad thai noodles. The spice levels in both dishes was just perfect and one of the best had till date. <br/>Overall a great experience and definitely recommend this place when you want to have Thai in Abu Dhabi.

We went here for a bridal shower dinner at this restaurant, as the bride loves Thai.<br/><br/>Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and helped us in figuring out the dishes.<br/><br/>We had the tofu skewers- this was just a tad bland, but well grilled. The spring rolls were good- impossible to get spring rolls wrong.<br/><br/>We were given complimentary lettuce wraps, which were customizable. These were delicious pops of flavour in a bite.<br/><br/>For mains, we had the pad Thai- which was amazing! Also, recommend the prawns in red curry, which was so well cooked.<br/><br/>Slightly over priced but reasonable quantity. The music of this restaurant was too loud on the day we were there, to the point where we couldn't hear each other. We were also not offered a choice of water, so we first got Evian and when we asked for water after the Evian was over, we got Aquafina, which is a massive price difference.

This is a go to place if you want quality thai cuisine and a quality evening with your partner.<br/>It was our anniversary and we decided to opt for thai becuase we are in love with the enriched flavours of this cuisine.<br/>We were greeted in a traditional way and seated to our table. The ambiance is beautiful leaving you in an awe-struck moment. The staff was courteous enough to help us with the menu and the complimentary starter was absolutely tantalizing with a burst of so many flavours into our mouth altogether.<br/>We ordered two main courses, one of them being the green curry and the other beef in pepper sauce. Both the dishes were so different yet so much enriched with flavours.<br/>The overall experience to this place was an absolute delight!<br/>

Authentic Thai cuisine. This was our second visit and the quality has been maintained. Love their complimentary appetizer platter. We had the Thai green curry with shrimps and a promotional dish of soft shell crab. The latter was melt in your mouth! My favorite Thai restaurant in Abu Dhabi. Nice large open kitchen filled with what seems to be authentic Thai chefs. My go to dishes include the Pad Thai with chicken, the papaya salad with soft shell crab and the coconut ice cream to finish. Despite not being very busy on any of the times I’ve visited Ive found this place has kept fairly consistent with regards to quality from opening to now.

A delightful and also romantic atmosphere at Pachaylen is eclipsed by the prodigious work that goes on in the kitchens!. Because the ambiance may very well be elegant and conducive to an enjoyable meal with your loved one or friends, but ultimately it is the food that is at the heart of a really fine dining experience – and, as such, Pachaylen delivers with superlative grace.

The ambiance is excellent, with a live traditional Thai music playing. It’s very soothing just by listening to the girl playing. Service is excellent and food is soooo good. They gave us Miang Kham as appetizer (my first time to try this dish), the taste is exploding to your mouth soon as you bite on it, now it’s one of my fav Thai food. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. We came here for the business lunch which is a great deal at 99aed plus taxes. It includes a starter, I had the soup with shrimp and it was delicious. Then you pick your main and dessert. It is a lot of food and great value, a nice way to sample many items from their menu.

Although am not a big fan of Thai food, but that place was worth the trial. The best thing in regards to this place is the variety of selections and the portion. Their Phad-Thai noodles are the best . In addition i was curious to order the Lamb with fried rice and I loved it. I actually advice everyone who's in love with asian food to visit this restaurant.

Service is prompt and in high quality. Food is quite big portion. Most of the dish are delicious and tailored for our taste. One small disappointment is the coconut ice cream is not really coconut flavour. Overall is acceptable and worth for a visit

Good. Truly authentic Thai food and great ambiance. When I visited, there was live traditional Thai music being played on a classical instrument and that had a very calming effect. The betel leaf was also a nice touch. The service can be a little slow at times but I didn't mind. By the time the food arrived, we were starving and once we digged in, we weren't disappointed at all. More expensive than the average AD restaurant but recommended nonetheless!

We loved our Thai food experience at the Anantara. The thai restaurant won me over the moment  we were served a plate of leaves with a variety of toppings, including nuts and chilli, for us to wrap our leaves sandwiches. How authentic is that? We ordered soups, spring rolls, noodles and meats. all categories were satisfactory, however we were quite disappointed that there were not many dining choices. On that night, our only option was Thai. I would recommend going down to the walk by the Anantara to explore the different options there are, like Cafe Blanc etc. The service at Pachaylen was also extraordinary, as it is in the rest of the hotel.

Love Thai food and Pachaylen is, for me, the best I have come across in Abu Dhabi.<br/>Excellent food with just the right amount of spice and flavour. I have had several dishes here but a favorite of mine is the Massaman Lamb. Very tender meat and a delicious curry.<br/>Service excellent; friendly, accommodating and you are made to feel very welcome. Very prompt as well.<br/>The hotel within which the restaurant sits is good but if I had to be picky (and you do have to dig deep) the setting to the restaurant is only ok; no view, clean and stylish but is really a fit all decor. The open kitchen is a nice touch and you can tell it's well run just by seeing them operate.

We hadn't really found any great south east Asian restaurants in Abu Dhabi until we had dinner at Pachaylen.  The food was absolutely fantastic.  There was an authentic, complimentary starter of various Thai flavours wrapped in betel nut.  We followed it with the chef's selection of entrees - we shared one serve between 4 and it was just the right amount.  Then we shared a number of dishes which came with a range of rice accompaniments.  The food was superb.  The service was excellent, prices reasonable, and you can have a pre-dinner drink on the fabulous roof-top bar at the Anantara hotel.  Also, we had no trouble parking.

I made birthday reservations for my husband and I. Customer service was above average and the waitstaff was extremely accommodating. The food was very authentic and the flavors were explosive. We had the set Menu which is a bang for your buck. The portions were generous. We had the bean cake for dessert. I was apprehensive to try it but I'm glad I did. What a sweet treat.

Awesome thai food here..a great fine dining experience..we were welcomed with a lemongrass drink and starter consisting of betel leaves, grated coconut,ginger,lime,red chillies n sweet chili sauce..further we had steamed dumpings and fresh coconut water and in starters we had grilled soya and in main course we had vegetable noodles and stir fried vegetables and it came with white brown n black rice..awesome quiet place to dine

Absolutely loved every morsel we had here. The service was excellent too. Everything we had was perfect - Tom Yum Prawns soup, Pad Thai and the stir fried chicken with chilli and cashew nuts.

Very authentic thai cuisine with excellent service. The restaurant I would say did not impress me much in terms of ambience and decor.. pretty average set up for a fine dining restaurant in a brand like Anantara.

Thai special... i have lived in Thailand so i will be a tough judge of thai food. But this place didnt disappoint me. Even before the starter they bought a beautiful box with Thai dips and knicks knacks to be stuffed in beetle leaf. Never tasted this before and it was yummy. Ambience staff live thai instruments and scrumptious ffod. Recommended

I'm a food lover and Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines! I think think the last time i wrote a food review on Zomato was more than a year back! <br/>After trying the food at Pachaylen, i couldn't stop myself from reviewing this place! Literally mesmerized by the authentic flavors of thai food! The service was amazing and generous portions. <br/>Definitely a must try thai restaurant if you intend to pamper your taste buds!

Come with time before sunset and step aside to enjoy the fabulous mangroves view. Go upstairs to the rooftop bar and have a drink whilst having breathtaking skyline view of Abu Dhabi and mangroves itself. <br/>Then done and pachaylen. Service is excellent with attention to detail at its best. If you are ever visiting abu dhabi this is the place you must go to!! It is located in anantara eastern mangroves hotel. The cuisine is authentic modern thai food served in a fine dining experience. I came here to celebrate my birthday and wow what a treat!<br/><br/>We ordered the set menu and that consisted of starter, soup, main course and desert. Well worth it for 195 aed per person. No drinks included.<br/><br/>They firstly served us with a complimentary snack. This consisted of leaves folded in a way that you can put in the condiments. It was very interesting and unique compared to majority of thai restaurants serving prawn crackers. This is what differentiates them from the rest of the thai restaurants. The waitress showed us how to eat it.<br/>We were then served our starter. They served us a thai salad with a skewer of chicken satay. Lovely presentation and amazing flavours. After that we were served the tom yum soup. Wow the flavours were intense with the heat and the lemongrass coming through the soup. Prawns were big and tender.<br/>The main course was next. I had the fish with vegetable stirfry. They even bought put three options of rice presented in little baskets: 1. White rice 2. Brown rice 3. Black mixed rice. Truly impressed as i only eat brown rice and don't like the bloated feeling of white rice. The main course along with the rice complimented it perfectly.<br/>Last but not least was the desert. We were served one scoop of ice cream with a sweet potato thai desert. I don't remember what it was called. However it was very delicious and nice way to end the meal.<br/><br/>Overall meal with wine was delicious. Ambience was beautiful with romantic setting..dim lights and candles. Bit on the pricey side but we'll worth it. Waitresses are highly attentive and amazing hospitality.<br/>

Last weekend I visited Pachaylen. The decoration with an open kitchen, is elegant and tries to be warm, but I found it a bit cold, might have to do with the high ceilings, that it wasn’t very busy and the open door facing the other buffet restaurant (they told us that they’ll soon be moving). The staff is excellent, attentive and not pretentious and at some moments even funny! We were two and ordered the set menu that comes at 195++. As an appetizer they brought a box with different compartments with tiny pieces of ginger, onion, chilli, lime, coconut, peanuts, dry chrimp, and some jam with which to fill a wrapped betel leaf, which was fresh and original. The starters came served individually, consisting of a piece of chicken satai (ok) crab cake (nice and juicy) and a green papaya salad (over spicy in spite we had asked the food to be mild). Then a prawn and mushroom soup full of flavour. For the mains to share, we chose a fish in a soy sauce, that even though in principle had some Chinese reminiscence it was tasty and fresh, not salty; and a beef in red curry, the best curry sauce ever, great flavour. Three different types of rice: a great jasmine rice, an interesting black rice, and a standard brown rice. For dessert a good piece of juicy mango, and sticky rice with coconut sauce. Maybe a bit expensive for the amount of food on the mains, which sometimes happens when ordering the tasting menu, but overall a good experience worth the visit and to come back for a special occasion as the food quality was very good as was the service.

Went to Pachaylen for our anniversary dinner :) ! The host was very gracious and as soon as you are seated you are given a authentic thai snack wrpped arpund in betel leaf..it has onions,ginger,fried coconut, dried shrimp and a sweet tangy syrup.. it was indeed a new and refreshing.. For startera we had the papaya salad (som tam poo nim) and satay kai of which papaya salad was a better bet. For main course we had stir fried seafood, duck roast... the stir fried seafood was spicy and mouthwateringly tasty... but the duck roast was a little too sweet after we ordered it to be spicy... the fried rice and noodles portion is not much comparing the price... the main course is served with white and brown rice... all in all it was a good experience... it was definitely a learning onthai cuisine for a first timer :)

Finally- I've found a special place in AD. Food is pretty tremendous and service impeccable. Pay a bit extra here and you will not regret it

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Abu Dhabi. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly. They're actually Thai so they know what they're talking about, unlike most other restaurants in Abu Dhabi.<br/>We ordered the beef tenderloin curry, the scallops and tiger prawn stir fry, as well as the pineapple rice, and everything was just delicious! But before that, we were given a great starter 'surprise'. The novelty started with the miang kham – a traditional street snack in Thailand , which came served in a bamboo box that looked like condiments for our main dishes. Miang kham translates roughly as, ‘eating many things in one bite,’ which is exactly what happens here. The idea is to make a mini-parcel, demonstrated in the first instance by our brilliant waitress who took a betel leaf and filled it with shallots, a peanut, lime, ginger, some chilli, toasted coconut shavings, dried shrimp and sweet tamarind sauce. The result was a taste explosion that proved to be so addictive we could have happily gone home with our belly full of nothing but leaves and starters. For dessert, we had the coconut ice cream, which was a very sweet ending. Highly recommended!
