If you are looking for authentic Indonesian cuisine in UAE, this would be the place. I had Gule Kambing which is lamb curry, cap cay ayam which is stir fried veggies with chicken and chicken fry. All items were so good that me and my family returned back 3 times already. Definitely recommended

I tried to stop by here every time I visit Abu Dhabi. The choices of menus are quite extensive, and the place is always nuzzling. Happy to see lots of non Indonesian faces eat there. Food is affordable and delicious. Reminds me of home.

We went today to try out this little hidden gem in tourist club area, being lived in Malaysia for few years in early 2000’s I really really missed Malaysian/Indonesian food since I moved to the Middle East. We ordered Nasi Goreng Gila Ayam and Chicken Satay! Yum! Huge portions as well. Will definitely be back soon to try out the other iteams.

Love this Indonesian restaurant. I’ve tried sup kambing goreng and it was really good. YUMMY! It just full-filled my craving of home-cooked.

Finest and authentic Indonesian restaurant in town. I was told by my Indonesian co workers to try it, so I did and I enjoyed every last of it. Must try!

i tried Indonesian food for the first time here. The SATE AYAM was was good... covered in full thick gravy like sauce with lil burned taste. the staff is ok and cleanliness is ok. you get free wifi too if u need.

My Malaysian friend introduced this restaurant and recommended bontet goreng or fried oxtail as its his favorite. From there it became my favorite to order from that restaurant as well. lol<br/>It comes with a soup and a spicy paste with lemon. Sangat Lazat! Terima Kasih 😃

I love ayam penyet. So when my Indonesian masseuse told me about this restaurant I was very excited. Ayam Penyet in Abu Dhabi!! But my excitement was short lived. Didn't really like the ayam penyet nor the Mee Hoon Soto we ordered. Very very average food. Felt like there was too much MSG in their food. Sorry to say this but the food in this restaurant is a disappointment. If its a Indonesia restaurant, I am pretty sure the cooks must be from Indonesia too. So why do they still get it wrong?

Bandung is the signature restaurant of Indonesian people in Abu Dhabi. The staff is like a family and the dishes are well cooked, just how they should be. Very fast service, only the location is the negative spot of the restaurant.

Ratings is just for food,Food is amazing,But the staff is horrible,OMG I don't want to see their faces again(waitress and waiter),But what to do I love the food,So I would go again,

I've been here for several time.. It was my favorite restaurant when I was leaving in dubai.. The old batch chefs was really great but then the current issue here now is inconsistent of food quality.. It was really damage taste.. Don't look at the authentic food event basic flavor were gone.. No one controlled buffet, Need to fix this issues asap because the restaurant Is has good spot, potensial to grab Indonesian community, Arabic or others Asian. Restaurant always clean and it is good.

Big portion with reasonable price, taste was good but not really tasty. This area not easy to get parking. The dining area make me like in a food court.

Good food everytime. A must try is beef rendang and chicken satay with the creamy peanut sauce. Service was quick compared to last time i visited.

This place is a hidden gem. We walked just to find this restaurant. It's one of the authentic indonesian restaurant here in abu dhabi and will give you a lot of varieties of mi goreng and nasi goreng ( friend noodles and fried rice). We ordered Nasi goreng bandung (fried rice with small anchovies), nasi goreng udang (fried rice with shrimp), sate ayam (chicken bbq with peanut sauce), and soup bakso (meatball soup). The taste is superb for asian like me. Price is very reasonable and staffs are great. It's a must try!

I had a Nasi Goreng with Chicken and some minor items. The Nasi Goreng was good, spicy but not too spicy. The other items were nice as well. Prices are inexpensive. <br/>This is by no means a fancy place, but in my opinion that's not always necessary. I would return.

Old timers will know this place to be a steady local fixture of Tourist Club Area. It's more a community restaurant than a public restaurant. Which is to say that if you're not Indonesian or not familiar with the place/staff, you'll feel very much out-of-place. That certainly doesn't apply to me. I always go there with an Indonesian friend. And I've spent a few years in Jakarta in my childhood, so some of the foods & surrounding chatter reminds me of schooldays!<br/><br/>On my last visit, my friend recommended a milk concoction with ginger, honey & egg yolk. Sort of like a nog, for my cough & cold. I had the Soto Madura (chicken soup) to begin with, but with rice on the side as is common to eat in S.E. Asia. Then, I had Satay Kambing (skewered lamb meat) in peanut sauce. Very tough meat, so didn't really enjoy that. And finally Tahu Goreng (fried beancurd). This one was rolled around some veggies & tasted very nice.<br/><br/>I recommend their Nasi Goreng & Es Cendol.

Ordered chicken soup and chicken skewer. Chicken meat from the soup was like chewing gum, meat of the chicken skewer was 80% burnt and the peanut-soy sauce had no taste. Quite disappointing experience :-(<br/>Update 09.02.2017: ordered this time the Soto Madura (chicken soup with noddles and eggs) and the Chicken Akram. Both dishes were far better than the ones I have ordered before. The sauce from the Chicken Akram is delicious indeed. Staff grumpy as usual 😁

Let's start with my favourite part, ambiance, which is terribly pathetic. U can see flies around and ain't that clean in any terms. U pretty much feel like u r seated in an Asian average restaurant. However what caught my attention was food. I ordered an extra spicy and a regular nasi goreng both in ayam or chicken just to taste the difference. Honestly it was just the same. I think the word spicy is a joke in uae. But still it was tasty. So I ain't gonna complain more about it. <br/> I asked them for ayam Balado (fried chicken in redchilli sauce) and randang beef (beef cooked in hotsauce and coconut milk). To my level of spicyness none was. However food was yummy and delicious. Cooked well, Tender meat. <br/>Staff hardly smile. So please don't be offended it's just the way they are. ;)

Quite fascinated by Indonesian food these days, so a visit to this place too. Having already tasted Indonesian flavors from Sari Rasa, this review might be a comparison. This one is far better in rating compared to Sari Rasa for ambience, but not food. Food was good, but not as great as Sari Rasa's. <br/><br/>Nonetheless, a decent hangout with a cozy sit out.

The food at Bandung is generally very tasty! There are many options and mostly also vegetarian. My absolutely favorite dish is Soto Madura, which is noddles in a soup, very yummy! :) I definitely recommend it!
NoShadow Kick
well since this restaurant long way from Bandung i don't expect too much about the food, low price and the taste not too bad even its not very authentic with the real food in Bandung.
I Like What I Like
I came, I sat, I ate some chicken 🍗💯<br/><br/>This morning I woke up craving chicken (as we all do). Now if any of you have had Ayam bakar (grilled chicken Indo style) you would understand its hands down one of the most delicious flavors you will ever put in your mouth. Bandung Restaurant covered this and all the classics Bakso, Lonton, Cah Kangkung, Tempe Goreng, Rendang, Es tea manis and all time favourite desert Es campur 🍧 (Google for reference).<br/><br/>If you are feeling boring please feel free to order Nasi Goreng (friend rice) and Mie Goreng (Fried noodles). <br/><br/>This place is basic but chill, staff are a little slower on the table service but it wouldn't be a Indo restaurant without that, trust me. Food is on point and well priced.<br/><br/>Must order the Ayam Bakar with some Lonton and request a little peanut sauce. If you have a sweet tooth get the Es campur, you won't be disappointed. <br/><br/>Sorry for the lack of photos I had to much fun actually eating. <br/><br/>👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾

Tried here for the first time months ago. My friend and I were disappointed. We were expecting a very authentic nasi goreng but ingredients seem totally stale. From nasi goreng to their chicken meat. I loved the indonesian drink with jelly and that was all I enjoyed.
Pandu Lanang Kinasih
This place is another option if you want to try Indonesian slow food. My favorite menu is nasi uduk and buntut goreng.. Hmmmm yummy! If you plan to visit this place, i recommend you to come before 8PM because this place is in residential area, so after 9PM, the parking will become resident parking. Be careful!
Budget Is Best
Full disclosure: We didn't eat there. <br/>So, why a review of it? Well, being Malaysian, and having worked on projects in Indonesia before, I was excited to find an Indonesian restaurant in Abu Dhabi, and very near where we live (Al Reem).  I have even been to the lovely city of Bandung high up in the cool mountains of east Java, and had some great food there. So, this review is mostly for its service, or rather, the complete lack of it: We walked in, no one looked at us, no one welcomed us; we sat down at a table outside, and no one came to show us a menu or take our order; and when we went back in and looked at what seemed to be a buffet line, and asked about prices, we got this insulting look which seemed to imply, 'if you need to ask for prices, don't eat here.'  So, we didn't! Plus, the food looked rather uninteresting and not very fresh. So sad, because I would have loved to have a good Indon restaurant to eat at. And I read the reviews by Rabih Nasser and Fibby Habeb , and they do not give me any incentive to even want to try to give it a another try.
Rabih Nasser
Dishes were oily and super spicy. Rendang was decent. The satay had a clear burnt flavour to it. Prices are low but so is the food quality. Its strong point is that it is the only indonesian restaurant i town.

I wouldn't call Bandung a complete authentic Indonesian cuisine experience but it comes very close. The Nasi goreng is not up to the standards I'm used to but the sambhals are just perfect. Satay and sea food dishes are worth going again for.

food is very authentic indonesian. nasi goreng is very tasty and spicy!- a must try! the place is just so-so. service is just okay. desserts is not so good.
Fibby Habeb
A bit disappointed with the restaurant. We came on dinner time, not many people there . There self serve food (nasi padang) looks old or not fresh anymore. The service was not that good, they forgot my order after we waited for almost 20 minutes. Had to cancel since its been too long. The ayam bakar took 15 minutes to be ready, thank god it was really good. Worth the wait. Overall, the bandung restaurant was just ok. Not one of my fav.

Service = ok<br/>Price = ok<br/>Portion of food = Large (Nasi Goreng)<br/>Taste = meh<br/>Ambiance = OK<br/><br/>I was overwhelmed by the amount of rice on their Nasi Goreng. A single serving is good to feed to people. I tried their Rendang.. Its not very tender. Migoreng was OK. I just did not find the taste I was looking for. But never the less. Its a decent place to eat and get a full stomach for a reasonable amount of price.

They don't deliver to reem island ????

One of the hidden gems of Abu Dhabi for sure. Authentic Indonesian food in a no-frills setting, clean and not noisy. They also have al fresco dining should you dare to bare the humidity during summer. The quality and consistency are very good and very good value for money. Only down side is that they do not do delivery...
