We go to this place mostly on our vegetarian days because they have best dosa's , uttapams etc.
Last night i had ghee dosa and hubby had Gobi Dosa.. Very tasty... The ghee dosa was so crisp and tasty..
They have everyday specials. On Sunday they have chole batura and they are one of the best i have had..
The service is also quick . .

Been here enormous times, would always end up with a minimum of 2 dosas atleast. Proper south indian food with tamil ambiance. Friendly staff and not over priced. They have separate sitting for the families. Delivery is tragic, they are never on time!
A Very tasty authentic south indian dishes as the name says.. nice and simple restaurant. Had tried ed dosa and puri bhaji. It was very good.
Heaven for all dosa lovers and also for evening snacks lovers . Wonderful Tamilnadu taste . Spicy egg dosa - u would not have had a spicy one ever , though people of Andhra and telungana guys love that, u can try that too, my all time favorite is mushroom dosa. They have plenty variety of dosas and lapa, idiyapam fried rice is for people who need to avoid rice - try this u will love that.
Have separate family area too but parking will be bit difficult to find
Vast varieties of dosas is what we can expect in this restaurant. Usually prefer takeaways. I have tried most of their dosas, its good. Service is slow.

Have been dining in for the awesome variety Dosa's that they have, it has never disappointed me.
I didn't quite like thier lunch meal which has thick rice as I prefer Basmati.

The best quality South Indian food, very tasty and fresh food. Of all the numerous Indian food eateries in uae, I rank this restaurant #1. It has been 26 years since this restaurant was established in uae. The menu is from the south-eastern parts of tamil nadu, the chef and staff are also of the same origin. Each bite was awesome and yummy. Indian donut (medu vada) was the best of its kind. Crunchy, crispy on the outside and soft from inside. Peanut chutney was unique. Podi dosa was very tasty. There are family space available. Go with your family and have fun. I bet it will not be ur first and last visit.
Good place for South Indian vada and sambar. Didn't eat here, but had a takeaway. Was fresh and good.
Visited many times and wondered with their hospitality. Despite of the food tastes, the behavior with customers are very well which makes customer to forget the taste!!! Two young chaps are working in the front desk like the all rounder’s. One of my favorite tamil restaurant in mussafa.
Against the restaurant food, which is cheap, tasty and worth visiting daily. Large space can accommodate the 2-3dozens of people at a single time and restaurant accommodated with separate family dinner space.
Management would recruit additional people to help the current team.
Had sambar idle felt good, sambar was more delicious than many other Restaurants I tried. Went for Chapatti and aalo curry. It was ok to be specific chapatti was great. Coffee typical South Indian filter coffee taste. Overall I liked even the sweets were awesome. Jalebi and Boondi smooth and delicious.
Ghee roast, omlet and sulaimaani - an awesome combination at night especially... Have it on Thursday night ;)...................................
first I hav to tell about the staff,very friendly staff and the service is very excellent.Food is very tasty especially the PONGAL. Got the same exp which i had the food from the traditional chennai food frm chennai restaurants at chennai.thanks alot guys keep it up

Really amazing and authentic food. Wonderful atmosphere, great staff and service. Also incredibly fair prices. I highly recommend the dosa with and without fillings and the paratha kottu. A quick walk from Helsinki yliopisto metro station will get you there, so really centrally located. Also the kottu potion was so big that we couldn't finish it. They packed it up for us. You must try it out.

Nice South Indian restaurant near to Helsingin yliopisto metro station in Aleksanderinkatu 9 (Kluuvi building). We went on syö päivä. So ordered chicken biryani with dessert for 10Euro and three idlis for 6.50Euro. Food was delicious but the quantity was little less.

Such a lovely restaurant! The design is super classy and the staff were very friendly. I didn’t know where the restaurant was and they even came outside to pick me up. The food is delicious and the spices are perfect. The cocktails were amazing as well. We have celebrated my friend’s bday and they helped us which was very kind of them. They gave us complimentary desserts as well. I recommend this restaurant to everyone! If you want to have a true taste of south indian cuisine this is the place to go!

Authentic south Indian food.
Mango lassi - was thick and good.
Masala dosa - crunchy, tasty, chatnies and sambar had rich taste.
Chettinad chicken masala was a bit too spicy for my taste, but I liked the fact that they kept the taste authentic.
Parotta - better to eat with hands to feel its special texture.
Malai kulfi icecream had pleasant smell, was served on a stick with a spoon (?) instead of as a ball in a bowl, it had icy texture, could be creamier.
I wish there was a separate wash basin to wash hands before and after eating. Eating with hands is adviced, but you have to wash hands. 'The South Indian' name on window facing Kluuvikatu will add more visibility to the restaurant.

We had chettinad chicken curry rice, idly and onion pakoda. All delicious and filled out famished soul. Don't get your hopes high but it is good enough to satisfy the south indian taste
