I believe Amina is popular among most people as I’ve found that some of my distance friends and relatives from Muroor come here to get food. Perfect place for a quick meal which is affordable & decent tasting. Their Tea is very flavorful and during evenings you can see lots of people just chilling outside the restaurant having the Tea. Service is good & quick. Their Daal or Paruppu Vada is spicy & just like how I like it. Their motta set is a classic order when we want traditional Kerala lunch on a very busy day.

Great food always! Porotaa and Chana is my favorite with a Karak Chai! Wonderful beef biriyani also!

Awesome place for local malabar food at cheaper prices...... also with varieties of tea snacks......

Amina Restaurant is a little restaurant in the Darut Ul Mia area of Khalidiya. It can be found opposite the Fathima Supermarket.<br/><br/>This may be a budget restaurant, but is extremely popular among the residents and locals of Khalidiya for their tasty no frills delicious food.<br/><br/>The restaurant is always busy and mostly caters to local residents and office goers. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.<br/><br/>They serve a selection of Indian dishes and a smattering of questionable Chinese dishes as well. <br/><br/>They serve a variety of biriyani's like chicken, fish and prawn among others.<br/> They also serve quite a few dishes from the Malabar region.<br/><br/>A full on meal for one would cost around 25 Aed and is hence excellent value for money.<br/><br/>If you like exploring and you find yourself in Khalidiya, this is a fantastic place for a budget meal in a cafeteria like setting.<br/><br/>They also have a very successful and popular tea section and they serve excellent Karak tea, biscuits and snacks.

A budget friendly Kerala style restaurant ..they do have kappa biriyani , puttu biriyani etc which is not bad ..!! Staffs are attentive and fast..!! Mostly a workman’s restaurant..!! Kinda busy too

When it comes to fresh milk tea, Aamina rarely gets it wrong. We have also tried their beef masala dosa, chappathi rolls and Kappa biriyani. While all of it is good enough, the kappa biriyani and I am in love. 😂 The portion size if quite big too.

The rating and review is only for their tea. I have never tried or felt like trying anything else. <br/><br/>Their karak tea is one of the best in Abu Dhabi. Whenever I have family visiting from India, Amina’s tea is also on my list of things to get my family to try. The tea has a lot of sugar, which is probably why it is nice. If you ask them to add less sugar they will do it for you. There’s generally a queue of cars in front of the restaurant of people ordering and having tea in their cars. They have a special window that opens on the road for serving tea.

Am writing this at the moment I ate the food they give..its really disappointing..I order chicken varattiyath+parotta ..but really bad..chicken varattiyath is not suppose to be chicken inside lot of tomatoes..😢😢

Small and always busy. Service is always quick even though it's packed 24x7. Food is comfort food of Kerala with options of other south Indian food. Tea is the number one thing on demand here but the value for money is undeniable. You get a bang for your buck. Bonus points if you know Malayalam, communication becomes easier

I brought chicken biriyani from amina restaurant because of the review which given in zomato,it was very bad i ever had before,even salad also not good,so i never going to buy it,so be careful customers who all are buying food just because of online reviews.<br/>

This is the first place i heard about puttu biriyani and i tried.My friend recommended to have a try and now it is one of my favourite place.I recommend all my friends who like spicy and tasty food

Budget restaurant,but does not compromise on taste.. Location is a bit congested and crowded all the time .i have tried their Kappa Biriyani and Chicken fried rice .Food was tasty and the portions were generous..Will definitely visit again..

We can eat here orginaly Nandan food., Kerala food and appam, dosa Puri, Kerala beef biriyani and beef sukka it's an Soo good with this place and final touches with like tea ..................

Good food at a reasonable price. I have ordered only once and tried only one item. Taste, quality and quantity was ok. Delivery takes bit longer so you may to order early.

One of the best karaks we have tried in Abu Dhabi! There is limited dine-in and it may not be a comfortable place for women, but the service was friendly as they brought us our tea to the car and treated us with a smile.

Ordered dal fry was awesome to taste...next com@e butter CHK..it was less butter CHK but more CHK masala...PLz check wid it chef butter CHK receipe... Good restaurant for pocket savings...<br/><br/>

Happened to pass by this place enroute picking my favorite meal from another location. Got Tea and some refreshments. The food is decent and at an affordable price. The place appears quite old and renowned, although I didn’t tried anything more.

This is the closest thing to the real thing you can get. My favourite place in Abu Dhabi to eat for the food, staff and ambience. Perfect. recommendable

Utterly Worst Service!!! A huge disappointment....Ordered for a dish for home delivery, it took more than one and half hour to deliver within a distance not more than 200 meters...Very bad experience....I could have rated it a 0 for the service if there was an option to do so...

This place is a neighborhood cafeteria which serves South Indian food predominantly a keralite cuisine. <br/><br/>One of the most visited cafeteria by people in the neighborhood owing to low cost and good food available throughout the day from breakfast to dinner.<br/><br/>During peak hours, the place is full and one needs to wait to get seated but the service to too quick and over compensates the waiting time. <br/><br/>The tea counter is busy all day with take always given in cars parked in and around the place. <br/><br/>The staff and team at this place work in a well coordinated manner and serve customers with a smile despite tremendous service and kitchen load all day👍🏻

A small cafeteria that serves kerala's traditional dishes...the food tastes good but very oily...they change their special menus every weeek...

Their Chicken Dum biryani and kappa biryani was delicious. Pocket friendly restaurant. Service was okay and Parking is hard to find sometimes.

I have visited this place quite no. of times. Must say it goes well with pocket & tummy. Tasty dishes. Idiyappam is nice & soft. Goes well with mutton or chicken curry. Quantity they serve is good for two. Have tried the biriyani once. Fair enough. Since i have a weakness for omelette i make sure i have one towards the end of my meal. Service is quick. Some nights its pretty crowded & gota wait for a seat. Not suitable for family.

Not a place with an ambience...but the tea has a special kick of taste...may be the classic but some how we find ourself going their over and over again...

Amina... Amina... Best o f Amina is their low cost and speedy delivery even if it is a small order. I like their Biriyani. Some people may comment on the delay in delivery , but i have another view. I tried almost all Indian restaurants in Abu dhabi .You have to wait more than 20 min minimum to get ordered food. We can wait their , but at amina! :p  Comparing to the price and other things Amina provides the best .<br/><br/>Also i advice to prefer home delivery if you are staying with family. Bcoz Amina has no room for family.

Amazing food. Basic price. This restaurant enjoys great popularity.<br/>Flip side understaffed. <br/>You may have to wait for 15 min to get served. Waiter forgets your order and may come back to you again to repeat the order. May take another 15 min to pay your bill as the cashier is busy serving food and visiting kitchen to bring food to the table. Some times you get to eat others order also if you wish. Thanks to the waiters. <br/>They may not even notice if you don't pay for it. But we are thankful enough to have gorged on delicious food and choose to wait for 15 min to pay off your bills.

Amina is a regular haunt for bachelors like me. Quick bites and easy on the wallet. Tea is amazing. I recommend the chicken dum biriyani. Lip smacking good and very northern malabar! The beef and chappathi are a close second. The tea time snacks are something different, not usually seen in other cafeterias/restaurants. All north kerala food addicts will love this place. <br/><br/>They have revamped very recently. Earlier used to have a family room, which is no longer there. And that is the only con.<br/><br/>Chai and bites : 5/5<br/>Service            : 4/5<br/>Ambience        : 3.5/5<br/>Wallet             : 5/5

And it's time... Amina ! This restaurant is very close to my heart!! I fell in LOVE with their Tea!! I live close by this Restaurant and one day I notice car honks from every where ordering for tea, Locals, Indians and most of the nationalities around their shop waiting for the tea tray to come near their car. And I was like... Really for tea???!! And that made me try their tea... There I fell for it !! From then my evenings are not complete without their Medium glass tea @ just 2 AED <br/><br/>It's a 5 from me for their tea !! Overall other items in the menu are completely Kerala dishes and little spicy, I would give it a 2.5 :/🙈 <br/><br/>PS : Take Away is the Best no ONLY option for families <br/>

Super Biriyani!!! esp. Malabar Dum Biriyani (Kannur/Malappuram/Calicut mix Style). If you have any plans of visiting Amina restaurant , you are free to tell my name, there is bundle of chances to get extra biryani rice :p Just give a try :)  Price is reasonable too.<br/><br/>Missed to review the awesome Samavor tea!

This restaurant has a lot of history, this restaurant started as a very small restaurant 20 years back and was only known for its special milk tea or kharak chai and people from all nationalities, boy or girl, rich or poor would come to there place just to have their tea and all would leave happy and with a big smile. I would remember seeing people driving bmw to ferrari everyone would stop to have his tea and today Amina have expanded their restaurant and with their tea and paratha serve many other items to cater to the needs of their guests. Most of their food is south indian spicy food but has good taste just like other south indian dhaba restaurants but their tea is just mind blowing and beats all other tea shops in the same area. Only problem 80% of their food is quite spicy and a place for bacholars but if your in this area should try their tea atleast as a take away.

One of the worst restaurant.... You will not get your full order . Each time when you order for delivery they forget something.... Don't order home delivery

I should definitely write something about this restaurant..this s very small cafeteria kind only...but the best part is that if you go in front of this rest you can see lots of vehicles waiting for their tea..its just 1 dh for a tea...and its so special there...I have tried boost also ..and snacks too...I would rate 4.5/5 for the tea n boost...
