Amazing! Love the food. Wonderful presentation. Commendable to all food lovers.
Excelent taste. good prices and very nice location
Good place. food is fine and price is also ok. no complaints. prawns was good.mushroom risotto was tasty.
The food and service was amazing! The seafood was fresh and everything is made from scratch. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have good, tasty and healthy food.
Love the location! Beautifully ambience, you find a calm and quite place for friends meet
The service staffa are super, nice food especially great cofffee
Unique dining experience, great ambiance and excellent coffee.
Stunning place to enjoy tasty meal
First impressions – the inside is stunning to enjoy your meal, very cozy, and it will take you to the old times of Sharjah!

Food is very tasty , we go for breakfast it's so yummy , and good service only that place it need more improvement
I will go again definitely
Love this place!! There are a few Fen outposts at the various SAF locations, but this one has the most comprehensive menu I believe. We had the mushroom risotto, wagyu beef burger, ube latte, ube cupcake, grapefruit 'mojito' (halal because sharjah is a dry emirate) - all were faultless.
There are at least 3 cats roaming freely within the premises, and 1 of them goes around resting on laps. Obviously this made it even harder for me to leave... 💖
Loved the food, very friendly staff. Value for money, ordered Miso seabass and they were quite delicious. Quick and prompt service. Neat and clean surrounding, would like to visit again.
Love the location! Beautifully located amongst the art galleries, you find a calm and cosy place good to read a book, meet a friend to do some work.
The staff are super polite and nice! Shout out to Chef Marco and Jaycee!
Getting to the food, the portions are perfect, the dishes are extra ordinary and made using the freshest handpicked ingredients. This obviously makes the price go up but it’s for a reason.
Super friendly staff, beautiful location. All round great cafe to work in, have to check out more of the food soon!
Good selection of drinks, fresh ingredients as far as I could see.
The salad was a mazing. It is a high end food but really amazing. I loved the drinks too so unique and fresh. The sweets are my least favorite 😅 too healthy 😂 Suha Mohammed
Located in Sharjah Art Foundation, lies a cafe with amazing ambiance and unique dishes served with utmost perfection. Make sure to leave your normal tasting taste buds for something different. The decor of the place is elegant and modish which sets the mood right. You’ve got a great number of tables inside and outside as well which is perfect for winters.
I went around noon and was disappointed when they told me they didn’t have most of the things l originally wanted to order.
None the less l ordered the Almond Butter and Banana sandwich and it was delicious! Ambience is beautiful, it’s a nice and quiet environment and the people working there are nice.
Winter menu is definitely a must try. They serve
Beef pares - braised beef - the texture and the taste is totally outstanding and it is definitely perfect for the winter weather. 5/5
Tempura ramen - another noodle dish, the broth and the tempura is the key for a perfect ramen. 5/5
Seafood platter ( LOBSTER/SEABREAM/ PRAWN /CALAMARI) - totally perfect 😍 5/5
Chargrilled King Oyster Mushroom - the taste is not for me. I would say that it is not a comfort food for me. 3/5
Dessert
Ube leche flan - it looks delicious and it taste definitly delicious. 5/5
Match pannacottaI - i love the concept of this dish. They did not use any sugar. They used dates to make it sweet. 5/5
Chocolate beetroot cake - other innovative cake. Sugarless cake but the taste is totally awesme! 5/5
It is my first time to dine in at sharja and i love you the quality and the price of their food here. Food plating is perfect and as well as the taste. Toyally im loving it.
I had visited once this restaurant located in the Sharjah Art Museum, for High Afternoon Tea Experience. I must say, it was one of the fanciest afternoons I have ever had. The ambience is so pretty and the staff service is great. The finger foods served with the tea tasted really good. Ordered grapefruit mojito and that tasted pretty refreshing too. Will definitely recommend it.
Fen Cafe is also there in Rain Room Sharjah. Recently visited and tried their cappuccino and flat white. Perfect blend. Love the glasses in which they serve the coffee. Absolutely recommended ✅
Nice place to have a coffee.
They have got many food and quick bite options .
Would like to try on my next visit.
Nice place with highly professional staffs .
I love how the food is contemporary , clean and fresh. They have my favorite chocolate cake , I paired it with a iced ube latte ! My favorite main is the miso sea bass.
Pretty good and cozy place to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Perfect coffee and light meals are the best part of it. Neither too heavy nor to light, just perfect !
Must Try - Hot chocolate & Japanese Crab burger
Located in @sharjahart , @fenrestaurant is aptly titled wherein #fen means #art /art of - dishes are beautifully plated up with a creative flair😍 Interiors are elegant and inviting. Located in the Beautiful Cultural Area of Sharjah, the experience of walking between the old traditional houses to get to the Cafe in itself was s quite an amazing experience.
The service a bit slow but what compensates is the quality of ingredients, the creativity of the menu and the delicious food. I will try to summarize this in other words, they use fresh mushrooms, homemade tomato jam, and you get the feeling that the food is cooked with passion.
Overall, I think I found a personal favorite hidden gem in the UAE.
Looking for a place to relax then maybe this is it. Wonderful ambience. Got the cherry cranberry mocktail which was pretty good. As starters we ordered Gochujang chicken yakitori which was not disappointing. Chicken katsu was delicious. Must try this place least once.
Amazing relaxed ambience in the heart of Sharjah! Love their Ube latte which is surely recommended 👌🏻 Friendly and courteous staff and good service too!
Located right at the heart of Sharjah Art Foundation, Fen Cafe is a cute little restaurant converted from an old traditional house with simple yet elegant interiors. The staff is super friendly and is constantly at your service, loved the team that attended to us during our lunch.
We opted to try out their fresh orange and fresh watermelon juice along with a classic mojito and it was all quite refreshing, certainly nothing can go wrong with these choices!
We tried their Summer Specials, which included Chilled Corn Soup, Pumpkin Risotto and Halo Halo for dessert.
Chilled corn soup: Not a fan of cold soup, and is something I would definitely avoid. The soup seemed a little bland, and wasn't of my liking personally.
Pumpkin risotto: So glad to see Fen doing risotto differently, something aside the regular risottos you'd find at your usual restaurants. A recommended dish from their summer specials!
Halo Halo: We had our doubts when we heard about this dessert which is originally from the Phillipines. It's a mix of fresh berries, corn, chickpeas, beetroot, pistachios, red kidney beans, tapioca pearls, coconut served around a piece of flan and ube ice cream on a bed of shaved ice.
Aside from the summer specials, we gave the spicy spaghetti and the quinoa salad a try.
The spicy spaghetti was hands down the best part of my meal and perhaps one of the best pasta I'e had till date. I personally loved the smoky flavour throughout the pasta and their black garlic. The littlest details in the pasta made the dish so delicious! A definite must try!
The quinoa salad was not the best salad we've had and could've used a little more seasoning, but was a dish we wouldn't mind ordering again.
I would love to visit Fen Cafe again and try some more of their dishes, especially their parmesan truffle fries which looked so goood. The place has a lot to offer even for vegetarians and for all the weight watchers out there. The food was seemingly healthier than what most restaurants these days offer.
Absolutely stunning interiors, amazing staff and delicious organic food. What is not there to love?
I visited this cute cafe last Friday and I was completely mind blown by the summer specials.
What I absolutely love most about this place is the range of veg dishes. Being a vegetarian I was ecstatic to find spicy spaghetti (my new found favorite) and truffle fries. I opted for their fresh juices and also ‘Halo Halo’ for dessert. Definitely coming back again to try more items from the menu. A must try when in Sharjah
After reading many reviews about Fen I decided to check it out with a friend. We ordered the Wagyu hamburger and it was amazing :)
We wanted to order the Ube Leche Flan but it wasn't available so we opted for the beetroot chocolate cake and it was dry while the Matcha pannacota was somewhat hard.
Singapore coffee was smooth and yummy! Service was very efficient and friendly.
Overall I really liked the cafe and their menu was very interesting so will be back to try other main courses.
Fen is a significantly remarkable Restaurant situated in the heart of Sharjah whose Service and Cuisine were some of the most memorable ones we've come across.
Venue Vibes: Located in picturesque Sharjah that's got incredibly amazing interiors and a very historic layout. They've got a separate seating for the Restaurant and the Cafe as well as an outdoor arrangement we're sure will be perfect to dine at during cooler weathers.
Service: Very helpful and very assisting
Highlights: We had their Summer Special which is a must have! Their summer set menu is amazing and it's got alot of vibrant flavors to it.
The Chilled corn soup, the rump Steak, Their seabass, The parmesan Truffle fries, the Shrimp tempura, the Avocado on toast(breakfast menu) as well as the cold beverages were spot on.
From the desserts, Halo Halo and the Ube Leche Flan were too good!
Personal favorites: Pretty much almost everything we tried from their menu so far were delicious.
For such deluctable dishes, it's extremely cost efficient, leaving us much more impressed by it all.

Had expected much more from this place based on the reviews but besides the fact that it takes you to a rustic feel of the city the food was definitely overly priced for what was served. The spaghetti and risotto both were nice. Simple and nice. But the price for it was too steep. The servers are excellent though and make you feel really good.
Was invited for a new menu tasting at this wonderful cafe located in sharjah. It was a weekend so went a bit early to avoid peak hours. Its located right in the heart of Sharjah Art Foundation. I call it artistic cafe because fen means “Art”. The cafe is owned by her excellency Sheikha Hoor, Who is also the president of sharjah art foundation.
This place is straight out of Architectural Digest. The restaurant fans out across a traditional Emirati villa, with design gems and plants hidden in secret corners. An oasis from the beating sun after a morning of wandering around Sharjah Art Foundation - Fen's iced ube latte hit the spot!
If your heading out for a quiet and chill place for afternoon tea,Fen restaurant it is.
Very exquisite ambience designed like the traditional times, friendly staff and various selection of treats and beverages.
It is a wonderful cafe found inside Sharjah Art Foundation. The place has a very simple yet an elegant and modern feel to it. Went there for an afternoon tea experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. We devoured many delicious mini delicacies my favourite amonst them were the plain scones served with soft butter, cucumber and ricotta sandwiches, eggs mato and the French macaroon. The macaroons deserve a special mention as they were PHENOMENOL to be honest. A must try place if you want to relax and have a good night afternoon tea with some yummy snacks. Also we tried some mocktails my favourite was the Mandi pineapple
Lovely ambience inside and very well well maintained in the heart of Sharjah art foundation.
Refreshing drinks and at an affordable price.
Would definitely keep visiting again.
Amazing staff too!
It was totally worth of going ... the ambience was calm & quite ... the stuffs were friendly as well ... the food was good as well .. highly recomend Sweetpotato fries , ube latte , & the cupcakes ...
we were really impressed with the design of the place, quality, and most of all the amazing service provided there. I would say genuinely this is one of the best service I ever had in UAE, and that's compared to 7 starts hotels.
mouth watering dosas and other south specials.......please donot miss this place.....best for ppl loving south indian food gr8 place nice interior not seen in nagpur
Fen is just beautiful. Truly , a hidden gem of Sharjah. Highly recommended. Wonderful ambience , good food and service. If you havent visited Fen yet , you definitely should.
Fen Cafe & Restaurant
Food was okay. Value for money is not great.
coupled with the fact that I asked for a few things like a physical menu and not given one. Also not informed for a 10aed delivery charge.
I think a slight price adjustment lower could really have this place dominant.
Food is unique. I had the soft shell crab burger that was a nice idea and executed fine.
Classy setting and beautiful food. The best thing about this cafe is that it has vegan options (that aren’t made up of just falafel!). Would like to see more vegan options, though, like a vegan burger or vegan risotto. I ordered the quinoa Saad with the beets and my fiancé ordered the fish.
🍣ADVENTUROUS FOR BREAKFAST? 🥞 .
Take a break from the usual eggs, avocados (or whatever the latest Insta trend is)- and enjoy a hearty breakfast at @fenrestaurant The Ochazuke- Grilled Salmon with Sticky Rice and Miso broth is the BEST COMFORT breakfast I have had in forever. The raw and oily of the Salmon is subtly muted by the Miso and the crunch of fresh Nori. I couldn’t stop till I finished every bit of it. .
Located in the @sharjahart - the place is hugged with history in every corner! ..
🥓 BACON WITH A TWIST? 🥓 .
Another adventurous breakfast series addition- instead of the same old bacon, why not try cured Beef Bresaola on toast? Paired with succulent berries to cut the raw taste dominant in meats- this dish is a must have for breakfast! You can find it in the one and only @fenrestaurant at @sharjahart .
Their heritage architecture but yet modern interior from inside is truly stunning, a place where you can enjoy an artistic tasty meal while surrounded by good vibes that takes you to the old times of Sharjah, they also have an outdoor and indoor sitting area which are both cosy and chic.
Let’s talk about my food and fun filled Saturday. A plan made by three of my foodie friends and I brought us to Sharjah one Saturday morning. The mission of our plan was to go on a gastronomic trip to Sharjah and visit different cafes and restaurants. Our first stop for breakfast was Fen Cafe & Restaurant.
Fen Cafe & Restaurant is a hidden gem in Sharjah at the Sharjah Art Foundation. If you haven’t still visited this place then, WHAT ARE YOU UP TO, JUST GET UP AND GO ASAP!! 😀 I went along with my fellow blogger friends for trying out their new breakfast menu on a Saturday late morning! 😀
Fen is a beautiful cafe located inside Sharjah Art Foundation. The whole place is like a maze but this is one place worth all the running and searching for. It wouldn’t be wrong to call it a hidden gem in a way. I had headed here with two of my friends, Hemangi and Gaby for breakfast. I could visit this beautiful place all thanks to Hemangi.

We were invited by our fellow blogger Hemangi Ramani to join her for a tasting. So we decided to go for a breakfast. Rating: 9 Golden Nuggets. An elegant area with lots of colors, natural lighting, and rustic touches to keep the existing foundation! Even though it is a small space it feels like it has made its mark with the people. You have both indoor seating which is cosy or you can opt for the outdoor area to enjoy some winter weather sunshine early in the morning. A real gem for all the photographers with the wooden framework, the lighting and the white theme being adopted.
Fen is a minimalistic cozy little restaurant and café located in Sharjah Heritage Village. White colored theme with a little pop of color here and there! Very simple, yet very modern and elegant.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Fen had launched their breakfast menu recently and I was eager to try out some dishes.
I went for something unusual. Ochuzake is a Japanese breakfast dish. Steamed rice topped with salmon flakes and seaweeds and you pair it with your choice of tea – corn tea, Sencha or Genmaicha. I paired it with Sencha. I love rice and so this dish was probably the breakfast I wouldn’t mind having every day!
Who doesn’t love a good benedict right? Ordered the Salmon Benedict and oh boy did I love it! The runny egg centre and the salmon, so perfect together!
Lamb Prosciutto on toast – Honestly I ordered this dish for the Halloumi cheese! Homemade Prosciutto on top of toasted sourdough, roasted tomatoes, blackberries and drizzled with sage oil. Yummy!
I also ordered a healthy breakfast option, the Organic Chia Pudding. Mix berries and yogurt flakes on organic sugar free coconut milk. I did feel the pudding tasted sour with all that berries.
Hassan Sharif is a very well celebrated Emirati artist known for his work “I’m the single work artist”. Fen has an exclusive menu inspired by Hassan Sharif. The menu focusses on shapes and colors. I tried the Diagonal lines and the dessert Pile.
The dish ‘Diagonal Lines’ was one of the starter dishes from the special menu. Potato and purple yum gnocchi sauteed with thyme, served with ube puree and radicchio sauce, garnish with edible purple pansies, puff wild rice and grated balsamic chunks.
I noticed that a lot of the dishes did have the incorporation of Ube or the color purple which I found very interesting.
Desert pile looked absolutely creative. A pile of 4 different flavored cakes wrapped with fruit leather of the respective flavors! We had banana, vanilla with mango filling, strawberry and Ube. The presentation was top notch and the taste was quite unique. Loved the Ube one the best.
Desserts:
The best bit obviously! Fen has a variety of desserts with different flavors and textures and presentation!
Mango sorbet – This one was definitely one of my favorites in taste as well as presentation. Delicious mango sorbet with vanilla ice cream, biscuit crumbles and edible flowers.
Sugar-free Matcha Pannacotta – Also realized Fen has some healthy sugar free options so you don’t really have to compromise on that diet you’re trying to follow! Made with soy milk and dates, served with Koshi Anko Paste and drizzled Pumpkin seed oil. A dessert that looks beautiful and tastes very unique! (Dominant flavour of Matcha)
Ube Leche Flan – Another purple dessert . This one is sugar free too! Ube flavored base cake with Leche flan on top.
Drinks:
I tried their two main special Ube dinks, The cold Ube latte and the Hot Ube Latte (Pictured above). Loved the cold one more than the hot. Thick and delicious. Also tried the classic Strawberry Mojito. Definitely refreshing!
Absolutely loved the presentation of the dishes and how they’ve tried to bring in a lot of variety and flavors not usually found around in the area. Id definitely recommend trying the breakfast dishes
Great ambience and service coupled with outstanding food. Dubai has many great restaurants and over the last few months I have eaten out at about 15 and this is currently top of the list.
While Sharjah is filled with great food, the sea of restaurants can be hard to navigate. So if Sharjah is my oyster, then Fen is my current food treasure. Here comes Fen, a bright, minimalist space with a few touches of color that feels like a small art gallery. This is the new go-to spot before a visit at the few steps away that is Sharjah Art Foundation. This corner restaurant/cafe is flooded with light from the picture windows, and redolent with the rich perfumes of the coffee and freshly baked goodies. This fusion restaurant gathers flavors from different parts of the world and combines them in their brilliant dishes. They just recently launched their breakfast menu and I couldn't pass up the chance to pay a visit.
I always go to breakfast in a new place with the intention of trying new things, so instead of just going with the menu of breakfast classics, I also went with their interesting take on Ochazuke. Sometimes you just need to switch it up and I was glad I did. Nothing gets me going like a bowl of fluffy rice topped with well-seasoned salmon. Pour that pot of tea all over with bits of nori and you're now seducing me with perfection. I first had this when I ate at Kiraku, a Japanese restaurant in San Francisco 2 years ago. I loved it before and loved it more now. It came beautifully prepared and was served in standout glassware.
The Salmon Eggs Benedict is a good starter option for those who would like something familiar. The light, pillowy, and soft muffin is accented by salmon, perfectly poached eggs and fantastic Hollandaise sauce. It pairs well with a cup of Cappuccino but you can also rip it apart in your mouth like a savage. The cappuccino is especially stellar: perfect milk to espresso ratio, and milk temperature. It’s also where their head chef, a Filipino, is selling out his can’t-be-missed Ube Latte, Ube Cupcake and that beautifully presented Ube Leche Flan, which are all delicious in nature, and is the reason why I will be back. I also had the Avocado on toasted sourdough; the crispy bread provides a crunch, that complimented the soft fluff of the the egg and roasted cherry tomatoes. Health freaks are going to love the Organic Chia Pudding and the Salmon Gravadlax Bagel looks small and unassuming but it has plenty of girth. My advice? It's best to dine family-style for a chance to try different plates.
Those who want to leave the spacious seating of the restaurant will find that Fen has another more intimate space for their cafe area. The service here is fantastic, with a team that is helpful and gracious. The food is hearty and the atmosphere has more soul and transports me to simpler times. Old museum vibes at this restaurant/cafe meets modern design store in the heart of Sharjah. Fen will surely be a true local favorite in no time, providing a bright space for either sitting for hours on a laptop, dropping in for a cupcake, or have a quiet breakfast. This place has waves of character and is a must stop for those visiting Sharjah.
There is a little gem of a restaurant tucked away within the premises of the Sharjah Art Foundation – Fen Restaurant & Café. The setting is totally charming with traditional Arabic architecture, open courtyards and delightful interiors. We chose to have lunch al fresco style – the warm sunshine fanned by a cool afternoon breeze was irresistible. What followed was a great culinary experience – I have to admit that I totally wasn’t expecting the menu offering to be so creative and the dishes so superbly plated. The litmus test was of course the taste. Every single dish from the starters to the dessert was made of fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and the explosion of delicious flavors and textures had my taste buds dancing a crazy jig! Whether it was the vegetables, meat, poultry or seafood I enjoyed them all. The dessert menu was rather unusual so we decided to go with the more tried and tested – “pile of cakes”. Even what seemed to be a fairly straightforward dessert was an absolute surprise …. a totally awesome one. Am certainly coming back for more.

Fen is truly a hidden gem located inside Sharjah Art Foundation. The ambience is quite relaxing and homely ideal for a weekend family getaway .We went there on a Saturday morning to try the new breakfast menu. Started off with a grapefruit juice and cafe latte. Also tried the strawberry mojito.
Moving on,
We called for a ricotta and mushroom with poached eggs on sour dough bread. The presentation is pretty classy. Next was egg white omelette stuffed with lamb. This was my favorite because of the right flavored filling.
I make sure to order egg benedicts whenever available on the menu and I didn’t skip that here either.
For desserts, they have some great choices.
Ube leche flan - A beautiful instagram worthy dessert which tastes as good as it looks.
Mango sorbet with vanilla ice cream and edible mud topped with caramelized pecans was the next. This was good too , great for mango lovers.
Fen is a great place to dine in at Sharjah and a reason for Dubai folks to have a weekend drive to a beautiful destination.
Good food in the heart of Sharjah, they bake their own breads and cakes! Their chocolate cake is everything! Their burger is really decent, Katsu curry is excellent, Vietnamese summer rolls are very refreshing and delicious. One of my top 3 restaurants in Sharjah.
Came here with my parents. Service and good were impeccable. My softshell crab burger was so good, and accompanied by the best sweet potatoes fries I've ever had. The presentation was jaw-dropping, comparable to a Michelin star restaurant. If you are in the area, you must check out this hidden gem.

Fen restaurant is located in the beautiful Sharjah Art Foundation with traditional architecture complementing modern interiors. The ambiance of this place is amazing and also the staff is very courteous.
With big believers of quality of their produce, their simplistic menu and plating style complements the freshness of the food. They have recently started their breakfast menu so we made our way to them to try it out. Read on below so that the next time you are in this cute little cafe, you know what to order.
GET SET GOBBLE
~ OMELETTE - We tried eggs of our choosing from their menu. My dad is a huge fish lover and he was more than happy when he tried the homemade Salmon gravadlax. My personal favourite was the Lamb chorizo. The sausage had so much flavour in them. Another classic pairing was the mushroom, spinach and cheese omelette with loads of stuffing inside the egg.
~ AVOCADO ON TOAST - Always a regular on the breakfast table, this dish is as fresh as it comes. It comes with poached egg on top and a side of salad.
~ SALMON BENEDICT - The same fresh homemade salmon gravadlax is topped on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce and poached eggs. Essentially you will see me repeating the words fresh and top quality because that's what stands out in all the dishes on the breakfast menu.
~ RICOTTA & MUSHROOM - A refreshing change from the usual avocado on toast we are used to having is the Mushroom & homemade ricotta on sourdough toast topped with poached eggs. They try to make everything in house from the cheese to the bread thus ensuring super fresh food whenever you choose to have a meal here.
~ DRINKS - The food is best enjoyed with their refreshing mocktails like the Strawberry mojito or Iced cranberry. Their source of pride is the Ube Bento. You MUST MUST try out this brilliant purple coloured coffee flavoured uniquely with purple yam. Another exciting item that's soon going to be on the menu is the Non alcoholic Champagne. Get the pleasure of drinking some bubbly without the headache :-P
First time trying Fen Cafe & Restaurant, and definitely not the last! It's more than what we expected. The food is fresh and tasty, especially their mains. I love that their shrimp are fresh from Kalba, and you can really taste the authenticity of the food.
The fact that Fen is located in Sharjah and in the heart of the art area is already a win for me!
We almost tried everything but our favorites are Prawn Tempura, Miso Sea Bass, Truffle Fries, Wagyu Burger, and almost all their desserts. Each bite definitely represents a fusion of different taste that makes it so overwhelming. It tasted different but it tasted like home!
Aside from the food experience, the staff were definitely friendly and caring; they made sure that everything is alright and we are having the best of our time.
I'll be doing a full review of this on my blog at WWW MARJANNE CO so stay tuned.
And Fen, I'll be back! Thank you for having me!

When you visit a place with no expectation of what the cuisine is and the service and then when experience the best what do you do ... well I would do , is give them 5/5 and talk about it and visit again with more friends .
This is a true hidden gem in sharjah , few of my friends have been there earlier and they recommended me to check out . I have heard of sharjah art foundation they do keep some art workshops and it’s been long I wanted to check out the foundation too . So that’s how a trip was planned , the fen cafe is inside the sharjah art foundation.
There is plenty of parking and as it’s inside a historical building the cafe has done justice .... the doors , windows all portrays the history of old uae architecture. The Interiors are also vintage uae rustic style with wood and palm trunk. They have both indoor and out door . Minimal decor is really pleasing to the eyes.
I did meet the chef , he said they serve international cuisine with Asian touch so that’s best of both East and west . I even asked him what does fen means ? He said it means art , this cafe is owned by her excellency Sheikh Hoor , the president of sharjah art foundation. The menu is designed by her inputs hence they serve the best of best only .
The menu they have the chef recommend dishes and the normal dishes too , we opted for the chef recommend menu .
I must not forget to mention about Ms.Ingrid who serviced us to content , she was the best hostess any restaurant could have . Each dish she explained well and also asked our feedback .
All the platings and presentation was out of the world , too good . Everything served was pure art work and it was like you dined in in a five star restaurant.
What all we had ?
Soups
Tomato Gazpacho , A cold soup with tomato and cucumber and basil oil .
Starter
Vietnamese spring roll , so fresh spring roll with a crunchy peanut sauce. Theybloiked preetu and tasted too yum to.
For mains we had the miso sea bass, sea bass fish grilled to perfection with mushrooms and miso .
The other best main dish we had was kalba prawns , delicious grilled fresh local prawns with lemon and butte sauce . The prawns were juicy and delicious. The chef said they source daily fresh prawns from kalba .
Wagging rump steak was the next dish , that was Home grown sweet potato mashed and layered with rocket leaves and well cooked wagyu steak , served with a sauce tasted decadent.
The crab burger was also delicious with sweat potato fries .
The truffle fries were delicious , perfect one with truffle and Parmesan cheese taste .
The spicy spaghetti was served with a unique spice called tianjin angel hair chili , it was spicy and tasted very different than normal spaghetti flavours .
The desserts were all healthy unique desserts . The betroot cake with avocado chocolate ganache , made my kids eat them saying it’s chocolate cake .
The ube flan , was something I had seen Instagram only but had it for the the first time .
Th Matcha pudding was okay
The sugar free sorbet were also good.
All the dishes are an acquired taste , not something that you eat every day and used too . Here your taste buds experience a uniqueness
The place is really cozy and silent place , you could come here for a relaxation, disconnect with the world and enjoy good food and service .
This place is must visit guys
If you fancy a good noodlees I highly recommend fen Cafe & Restaurant. Both really good. Taste was authentic, fresh and homely and I loved it.
To find this place is tricky cause it's nestled inside a preserved and reconstructed old heritage site of Sharjah near the corniche . The cafe is peaceful and cosy .
The food was very good ... we had ordered most of the items in the menu... and everything was to our liking . The best of them all was the Wagyu Burger . Well made burger with tender meat and delicious flavors. Definitely recommended to go once more!
This is the type of restaurant u will not see popping out in every corner of the sharjah streets as hidden gems are always kept in places where the value and quality of their work of art are always restored. If you are the type of person who appreciates cosy ambiance, global contemporary cuisine, art lover or simply a caffeine sucker. This is the best spot! I would rate this restaurant 5⭐️! #munchxzomato
Fen cafe serves you a complicated style of food in a very artistic way.
Each and every dish is presentated in a very artistic way.
What I liked in starters was Vietnamese Spring Rolls. It has a really fresh taste when combined with peanut butter. Really loved it.
Wagyu Rump Steak is a must have from this cafe as it was the yummiest among all the mains.
Ube Leche Flan is the best in their dessert menu. Styled with edile flower and caramel on top makes it look like an artpiece. The combination was really yummy. A must try.
It was my first time visiting Sharjah. I mean I’d driven through it but after living in Dubai for 3 and a half years I never really found a reason to visit, after all there’s a multitude of restaurants opening everyday and loads of them within my reach. However there was something that attracted me to Fen. Maybe it was the fact that it wasn’t within my reach. Could it of been the stunning social media account or was it the interesting sounding menu? Whatever it was it hooked me bait, line & sinker.
This hidden gem can be found within the courtyard of the Sharjah Art Foundation Art Space. It has a creative fusion menu of Asian and European flavours. I loved the setting of this place, the sand coloured traditional walls and beautifully carved wooden doors added an authentic Arabic touch. The name, Fen, can be translated as ‘art’ or ‘the art of …’, and I am sure from looking at the photo’s you will agree that the food lived up to the name as these stunning creations are like works of art on a plate.
Visited Fen for lunch at the Sharjah Art Foundation, the place is in an interesting location, it is an up and coming arts & creativity hub and I can see a lot of potential for it once the museums and galleries open up! There is a cafe and a restaurant! The interiors were cute and homey and the staff was on point!!
I loved the Prawn Tempura appetizer, their fish is fresh from Kalba, brought to Sharjah daily! We also tried the caesar salad which was good and the hamachi sashimi!
For the mains we had the wagyu burger, grilled prawns, miso sea bass and the rump steak! The fries that came with the wagyu burger were insanely delicious! Both the burger and steak were cooked to perfection and quite good! The sea bass and prawns were also delicious and tasted very fresh! I will definitely be coming back for the mains!
As for the desserts, we had the sugar free match panacotta, the ube leche flan and the sugar free beetroot cake with avocado chocolate frosting! I loved the beetroot cake! IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!
Service and staff were also amazing!!
Heard about this new creative spot in The Sharjah Art Foundation so I wanted to try it out. It's quite a drive to get there if you live in Dubai but could be a trip with friends if you want to visit the foundation and have some lunch. They serve an international menu with something for everyone. Wasn't a fan of the starters, so will skip that, but the mains were fresh and delish! We ordered the wagyu burger, and wagyu steak - both of which were cooked to order and very succulent. The grilled prawns were extremely fresh - wild caught. And the Miso Seabass was very tender and the dressing gave it a perfect ting. All in all, a good experience different than the usual places you head to - worth a try!The desserts were very artistically presented and original. The beetroot sugar free cake and the flan were both very good.
A hidden restaurant in the heart of Sharjah, located inside the beautiful Sharjah Art Foundation. I was really excited to check out this place cause I've heard and read interesting reviews about it.
When I first came in, the place won me over because of its relaxing vibe and its traditional interiors mixed with minimalism. the place was quiet that time, there's also an outdoor seating which is really perfect during the winter season.
When it comes to their food, I started with their delicious Caesar Salad with Grilled chicken and Aburi Sashimi and for the mains I tried their grilled Jumbo Kalba Prawns, Japanese soft-shell Crab Burger, Spicy Aglio e Olio and Wagyu Beef with Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli and for desserts we tried their cookies with different flavors, cupcakes, and matcha Pannacotta. To sum it all up,
all I can say is, their food literally did not disappoint! it was superb in quality, and as per their chef mostly the ingredients they used on their food is not found in the UAE, some are found in different parts of the world, which is really amazing cause they really exert the effort in giving the best quality food for their customers.
If you're going to visit them, I would recommend you to order and try their Jumbo Kalba Prawns which is oozing with flavor and it's really delicious, next would be their Spicy Aglio e Olio, the sauce is amazing (sorry I'm a sucker of pasta!) and lastly is their Wagyu Beef with Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli, I dunno what adjective to use but it's definitely worth it! this three dishes took my heart away!
I don't usually write reviews, but I just ordered dinner from Fen. I have to say that the service was incredible, the delivery was super fast although I live far away (not to mention the food looked amazing and hardly moved in the package). And finally, the food was incredible! It was super delicious! Thank you.
Fen restaurant and cafe is truly a hidden gem in Sharjah. Located in Sharjah Art Foundation. This place has become an absolute favourite spot in Sharjah in a short span of time. Imagine yourself in a calm relaxing place and relishing some healthy goodness.
Their extremely friendly, welcoming staff and relaxed ambience is a plus plus. If you're thinking about a spot to indulge yourselves in seriously good food and to spend a lovely calm evening to hangout with a friend or a loved one. You have found yourself an ultimate spot. This place is divine without a doubt and deserves 5/5 on our list!
The building is conventional from the outside and the interior was rustic, simple yet trendy. They have outdoor and indoor seating options. We went to try their new seasonal menu. Everything was so good. We still can't get over it. The fusion of the conventional and contemporary has been done really well.
Talk about their exceptional service, prompt staff or the delectable, sumptuous, appetizing dishes. Everything iwas 10/10. Loved their presentations. Everything was appealing and full of surprises and most importantly the prices are superrrrr affordable. Experience a fine dining in totally affordable rates at Fen. It's so good. You keep craving for more. We are definitely going back again to cure our sugar cravings. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Had great lunch at @fenrestaurant located in sharjah art foundation.
Staff is super friendly love how they take care of each and every detail.
I loved the pumpkin soup it was delicious, tempura prawns were so crispy and filling, also wagyu burger was great but fries were too oily and soggy . Ravioli wasn't that great.
Also I am not a big fan of duck so peking duck bao buns didn't impressed me much.
For desserts we opted for sugar free beetroot cake , well I personally didn't liked it, and found it little dry.
They offer coffee as well, which is great so I would highly recommend it for this.
This place is truly a gem. I loved everything at FEN. From the simple & elegant decor. You literally want to sit there for hours and eat their Spicy Spaghetti Aioli. It's simply Devine. The wild shrimp and the amazing deserts are beyond good food. It's so refreshing to have places like this open in the UAE. I'm already thinking of going back there. It's great quality product cooled with love and care. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Located in the Sharjah Art Foundation, this place is a hidden gem. Amidst all the heritage, the cafe has beautiful interiors, and a great ambience.
The staff are quite friendly and we placed an order for -
Drinks - Watermelon Juice and Lemon With Mint. Both were quite refreshing, low in sugar, keeping things healthy.
Starters - Broccoli Soup which was rich and creamy. Had a good taste.
Prawn Tempura - This is amongst the most recommended dish here and why wouldn't it be, when it tastes so good.
Shaved Fennel and Rocket Salad With Fresh Peach - Healthy and delicious, for sure.
Mains -
Wagyu Beef Cheek and Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli - This could have been slightly better, but is quite good, nevertheless.
Grilled Wild Caught Kalba Jumbo Prawns - This was definitely the best among the mains, the prawns left us craving for more. Cooked to perfection.
Wagyu Rump Steak - Cooked to medium, this is also among the recommended items here for Steak-lovers.
Japanese Soft-Shell Crab Burger - The Burger sauce was the only problem with this burger, otherwise it was pretty delicious.
Desserts -
For the desserts we chose all the three available options. These sugar-free desserts are distinct from your regular desserts, and the one that I'd recommend would be the sugar-free chocolate beetroot cake which has an avocado chocolate frosting and topped with home-made honeycombs. Delicious !
Price is on the higher side, but the experience is definitely worth it. Great Value for Money.
• Where is it - Sharjah Art Foundation, Old Sharjah. There's ample parking in the compound for Dhs 2.50/ hour and is not validated by the restaurant but that’s fine. The art foundation has many similar looking building structures so its hard to know which one to find Fen at but there's a map which is relatively helpful.
•Ambience - Fen has a restaurant seating area on one side of the building and a short walk away they have the café seating area which is designed for working and meetings. Neither feel like a family restaurant or café; rather like business cafes.
•What we had - We tried 2 items from their monthly special and a couple of things from their regular menu:
1. Peking Duck Baos - These were delicious - well cooked and the flavors were quite delightful!
2. 72 hour slow cooked brisket - The brisket was served with gravy and came with kale and beans. The meat was good and properly cooked. However, we may have had better.
3. Shaved fennel and Rocket salad with Fresh Peach - The ingredients in this were great but the dressing in this salad is mainly dill yoghurt and the salad is barely covered in any so the flavors are all very mild. We expected it to be a much juicer and creamier salad.
4. Spicy Spaghetti Aglio e Olio - We expected to be like the regular spaghetti aglio we've had at other places - its almost the same with the exception of black garlic which gives it a very strong and Asian flavor. Personally the flavor was too strong for our palette.
5. Chicken Katsu - The chicken was well flavored and well cooked. The salad and soy sauce dip went it with it well, however we wished there was some sauce or dip that helped make the dish a little less dry. However, apart from that it was great!
6. Parmesan truffle fries - The fries were super crunchy and didn’t get soggy even after a long period of shooting which was amazing. The truffle flavor was mild and we liked that.
7. Prawn tempura - Great tempura, just the way it's supposed to be. It wasn't over or under fried.
8. Sugar free Ube Leche Flan - The ube cake and caramel combination was actually very enjoyable and the dessert got all its sweetness from the caramel nest on top. A great dessert - definitely worth trying!
9. Sugar free Chocolate Beetroot cake - The cake was delicious and we weren't so sure when we were ordering but it was great! The Avocado and chocolate frosting wasn’t our favorite part of the dessert but the homemade honeycomb definitely was.
10. Lemon mint - Fresh and with very little sugar added which was great!
11. Strawberry mojito - A must try! We had 2 of these cause it was absolutely delicious - very fresh and well made.
•What we liked - We loved the drinks and desserts, peking duck bao, prawn tempura and parmesan truffle fries. Even the chicken katsu was quite enjoyable.
•What we didn’t like - The spicy spaghetti was too off for our palettes and the salad was too dry for our liking.
•What we recommend - We definitely recommend the desserts - they are unlike anything we've tried anywhere else!
•Perks - Great staff, lots of parking and air conditioned restaurant in a very traditional environment with a menu that changes often and is quite innovative.
Tucked away in the heart of Sharjah at the Sharjah Art Foundation is @fenrestaurant, a chic restaurant and cafe with a modern touch. With a focus on not only quality but also presentation, the restaurant manages to extend the art gallery experience right to your table. The restaurant’s culinary offerings are served in the beautifully designed rooms and courtyards combining traditional Arabic elements with European designed furniture. I recently stopped by to sample their Ramadan specials, and was incredibly impressed with how much work goes into each and every dish. The Ramadan menu includes Peking duck bao buns, slow braised short ribs, and the ever so tender 72 hour brisket. Their Ramadan offerings weren't the only the only things worth looking forward to during a visit. Their menu is chock full of delicious delicacies that need no special occasion to be enjoyed. From their starters to their desserts, every dish on their menu is a work of art. One thing that stood out to me more than the delicious food, was the impeccable service. The staff at Fen are incredibly professional and take the dining experience to a new level. I highly recommend paying Fen a visit as it is a true hidden gem with delicious food just waiting to be discovered.
Are you looking for a healthy meal that tastes just as delicious? Then head over to fen restaurant which serves delicious, clean and light food and is located at the beautiful sharjah art foundation.
Every dish is presented with gorgeous intricate details, wouldn't be wrong to call it a plate of art.
To start off we had the Pumpkin Soup, Fennel Salad and Prawn Tempura. Needless to say I dived in for the Prawns right away.
For the mains I loved the Spicy Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with smoked paprika, black garlic and guindillas peppers.
This should give you an idea of all the natural flavorful ingredients used here without any unhealthy contents.
All their desserts are sugar-free and absolutely delicious.
Ever wondered if you really get a chance to explore Art, Architecture and food in one go. In my long quest for this spot, I have finally found my dream sanctuary where I could spend long nights without any tediousness. Fen Cafe is the name and the word is trending among the crazy cronies of Sharjah. Head straight for the place if you do not want to be lost in translation of this hustle bustle city.
Now let's dig deep into the signature fen gourmet. In short, pure bliss
Strawberry mojito: One cannot ask for more fresh of a strawberry mojito. It's tastes fresh without compromising on the quality of strawberries and decorative leaves.
For starter: The shrimp tempura was crispy from the outside and the soft kalba tiger shrimps premarinated was the main delight of the dish. The first bite with dipping sauce was a burst of flavors in our mouth with crispiness, spices and a little bit of tanginess. Literally couldn't stop eating.
Main course: The waygu beef has been always considered as a royalty. Our meat was medium rare so I get to taste the juicy succulent pink inside of the steak. You can literally see the oil and goodness oozing out of hot steak. Literally melts in your mouth.
Dessert: I had asked them to make the desert look special for my hubbys birthday. To my surprise they had planned to gather all the crew along with the head chef, music, candles and cared to stay around singing while having the first bite. They cared to go out of their way to make our night special. Very memorable.
Leche flan was exotic, order it if you savor for hard desert. The blue yam base was out of the world literally. And Suger free pannacotta was an added bonus. The first bite gave us the flavor of western prairie. It had all the flavors of fresh flower with some used as topping. It's something unique which I don't get to taste around.
Props to our service attendant (Malik), you guys where more than awesomeness. Thankyou for the making the night so special, for the bday gift, and free goodies back home. Definitely coming back 💛
Probably the coolest place to that I've been to in a while. The decor is absolutely stunning and the service is impeccable. I tried the aglio e olio spaghetti and it was delicious, just the right amount of spice. I also tried the 72 hour brisket which was cooked to absolute perfection. The meat literally melted in my mouth. Great experience all in all...

Nothing meets the definition of ‘hidden gem’ quite like this. Throughout my 2 hour ride to Sharjah during rush hour on a Tuesday evening, I kept hoping the restaurant would be worth all that effort. I am glad I wasn’t proved wrong. Located amidst the hustle and bustle of Mureijah Square Sharjah, lies a haven of peace and tranquillity. The Sharjah Art Foundation is an oasis that assists in the flourishing of art and culture, showcasing traditional values with a touch of modern appeal. The hidden gem here was the recently opened Fen Restaurant. A dream child of Sheikha Hoor, this restaurant is nothing less of time travel. Housed in a traditional structure with wooden doors and windows, minimal décor and a very soothing vibe, Fen instils a feeling of calm amidst chaos from the very minute you step it.
The heart of Sharjah Art Foundation art space has found it’s beat. It is well said that a way to a persons heart is through their stomach, which is Fen’s case will undoubtedly be its high quality food. . Capturing the very quintessence of the vivacious, sparkling Sharjah, the new Fen café boasts of modernistic food in a cultural environment. And this is where I came across the real gold. It’s true treasure is its complete fusion menu which you can swear by.
I live in dubai and I hardly get a chance to visit the neighborhood city sharjah. Too many reasons not to, traffic, too far etc. Never got a chance to explore the beautiful Sharjah, until one day when I was invited to visit a new restaurant inside sharjah art foundation.
The whole place is cut out from the rest of the city, it's so peaceful, serene and laid back.
The place is spread out into a restaurant, a cafe and a small library, so there is something for everyone here. I was welcomed in this house like structure which looked pretty traditional from the outside. The interiors are rustic and the seating is plush.
We were welcomed by the very warm staff of fen, they showed us around and offered us some bites and a very refreshing watermelon juice to start with. It was perfect for a sunny summer day. I fell in love with the way the place was done, a perfect balance between the traditional and the contemporary. The menu is pretty interesting too. First of all it's not a very big menu and each dish is curated to perfection in terms of taste and presentation.
Started off with a hot bowl of pea soup with horseradish and edamame cream. A nice tight hug, perfect for the winters. Next came in some fresh salads. The quinoa was one, funnel and rocket was the other. The quinoa was a meal in itself, with pickled beetroot, greens, walnut and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette. The shaved funnel, rocket was a little lighter, with fresh peach and a citrus yoghurt dressing.
Next came in a plate of wild caught jumbo prawns which were grilled to perfection with some veggies and lemon butter on the side. Absolutely fresh and delicious, these prawns were gigantic. The chicken katsu was next to follow and I loved how the panko fried chicken thigh was so succulent. I was a little disappointed with the katsu sauce though.
They have an extremely interesting selection of desserts. We chose the matcha panacotta and ube lenche flan. Italian panacotta with a Japanese matcha flavor sounded so interesting. Sugar-free dessert made of Soymilk dates, koshi anko paste on the side, garnished with pumkin seeds and drizzled with pumpkin seed oil. The ube lenche Flan was good but the panacotta stole my heart. You guys have to try out this place, it's the newest pin on sharjah's culinary map and it's here to stay.
