Only commercialized taste can be experienced just like any other kerala restaurant. Only the names will be having the “nadan” names but the taste will be far cry away. Uae is the worst place to taste kerala food.

Being a fan of onam thalis, I always patiently wiat for that 1 week of a year to try onam thali from different places.<br/>So ordered it on the last day. Quite pricey at 35dhs. Lot of items. Some items didn't taste that well. Others were fine. Sweet was good. Too many curd items which could have been replaced well with veg curry.<br/>Overall a fine experience. But it's always better to eat thali at the restaurant.

The best and confortable place to dine with family and friends. Positive vibe all over the place. Good interiors. One of the best places in uae for kerala dishes. Pazhassi salad is a versatile one. Try one time you will be a regular customer.

i purchased fish curry meals from this place.. the quality and taste of the food wasnt worth the money.. but this happens with many restaurants.. what forced me to write this review was that they gave a weird melted jaggery oily mess as payasam.. i found this extremely lazy.. i hope the management notices these issues and works on improving the quality of the dishes..

For an in-house dining experience comparatively i would suggest this place. But based on home delivery, the QUALITY of food you get for the price is horrible. <br/>Let this be the covid season, even I do agree.. but it’s a pandemic and we all are in it together. <br/>

Yesterday I bought wheat porota ,fried rice and chilly chicken for dinner .It was so bad taste. Am not recommending this hotel for food. I avoided the review and bought the food.Got the good treatment as well..<br/>

Yesterday I ordered mutton Biriyani and chicken Biriyani... mutton Biriyani was really worth.. every just try once mutton Biriyani from there... it’s just wow!!! Chicken Biriyani ... it’s okay

We ordered for beef ularthiyathu, irachi curry and fried rice, the food was soo bland and tasteless ... no spice and no flavor. Their food used to be great but this time with home delivery i am really upset. Only porata and pathiri was good..

Ordered chicken dry fry full it is contained 4or5 tiny pieces with lots of salt even a child can make chicken fry better than this..i have a doubt that calicut not book purchase this chicken fry from the food section of any mall literally both are in same taste..please don’t try there chicken fry

I had a bad experince with this restaurant . Their portions are very less and pricing is more. Their home delivery service has a delay of an hr or two.. And if we call to ask them they just hangup the phone.

I was alwys a follower of this restaurant chain and admired their food and the crowd they could pull by their unique dishes and customer relationship. <br/>Ordered the most typical kerala cuisine which they were once famous for, instant regret aftr opening the package. A very small portion of beef for which I paid 23AED. I raised a complaint but they answered it was their standard portion. The soup was way below average and the earlier regret of having a small beef portion eventually turned in to 'not having that much to waste' kind of feeling. They really let their name down and with the kind of attitude they hav now towrds customers, I dont think they will even try to improve in near future. Customers r nothing once business is fledged..eh??

Customer is god , but for them person who attends the call is god and customer has to just hear and then he will hang up the call

ordered mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani, prompt delivery, good customer service. ethnic kerala style biriyani, very tasty, there were 2 pieces of mutton in one biriyani, it comes with vermecelli kheer, raitha, pappad, pickle and dates pickle. well packed and quick delivery. Tasty food. I tried to order through zomata but it was mentioned that there is no delivery to my area (Al Majaz 1), but when i called them they delivered prompty. Highly Recommended restaurant.

Have visited this outlet of Calicut Notebook in Sharjah, and it has been a pleasant experience every time. Have had them deliver food as well, and it was in delivered in time.<br/><br/>The restaurant is clean and can be visited with family. Parking is easy to find around the restaurant.<br/><br/>The food tastes authentic and the menu has a good choice of Keralite delicacies.

I would love to go back to this place again and again! I recently had lunch with them and it was a wonderful experience. We had the panadanas chicken, chicken fry biriyani, ghee rice and mutton varutharacha curry. Let me start with panadanas chicken. It is a thai inspired dish wrapped in these leaves in a knot. Once opened, the small and taste are out of this world. I instantly fell in love with these knotted beauties. The chicken is soft, well cooked and with a tinge of sweetness. I would rate this dish at ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Next the chicken fry biriyani. I have only had once before the fry biriyani and had not enjoyed it due to which i was pretty hesitant to try this as I would like some masala in my biriyani. The staff suggested they can customize it to my liking which was quite impressive and can i say i was super happy when the dish arrived. The biriyani was yummy and chicken was soft and juicy. It was a pretty good portion size for one person. The masala was spicy and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I would rate this dish at ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I have to say a word about their service - they were professional and very attentive and sweet. It is not always you find most of the staff behaving this way and i was very happy with their service for which i rate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I cant wait to go back and try their other dishes. They promised delivery within 30 mins.now its 1 hrs and more and no delivey of food. And also they are not answering the land line no.

We visited this Resturant today and they serve me very old items. So bad this is not expect from this Resturant and they should tell us, if they don’t have enough items

Fish Kandahari is a really good starter they have. Other than this, food is ok and good. Value for money! The ambiance is good to visit with family.

Nadan irachi curry was horrible. I may suggest you to change the name of the dish to nadan bone curry. I couldn’t find a single irachi piece in that dish. The taste was also awful.

My favourite restaurant for keralite food in sharjah, Calicut Notebook never fails to satiate the tastebuds. <br/>Rahul, our friendly waiter guides us on our gastronomic journey through the delicious malabar cuisine. The family’s staple favourite remains the mango fish curry and the hot fluffy kerala parothas followed by the aromatic mutton biryani whose flavours are savoured right till the last grain of rice. But the journey starts much before that with the tantalizing starters of fish in green sauce and dry fry varieties. Todays new starter of thai prawns was a revelation! Will keep going back for more!<br/>

Door Delivery ; had to wait for 2 hrs to get the order delivered and that too just appam and fish masala... <br/>every time you call the restaurant, we get the same reply of ‘already the delivery person left the restaurant’.....never seen such bad service..

A place which is totally crowded at weekends serving the best authentic south indian food . Food served are fresh and tasty but not economically viable😛 otherwise its just perfect place to dine in with family n friends.

Brilliant Kerala cuisine at CN. The taste was more than what I expected. And in the intensity of the concentration in the food I missed also my usual practice of taking a few snaps. <br/>Packed place and we were a large group. So onto the table came fish curry meals, chapathi, chicken varutharachathu, beef fry, fish pollichathu and tawa fish. <br/>The experience was great as the food as top notch. Especially the chicken fish was mind blowing. The dessert at the end of it was a payasam that made us crave for more. <br/>The only unfortunate was that there was a fly that gave us company throughout

Loved the combo of crispy, sweet and hot Palappam with hot and sour tomato fry and their very special Paneer Mango Curry! They all taste as that of home made and gives you that nostalgic feeling that you are back to Kerala! The staffs are all very friendly! Would definitely visit it again!

This place has all my heart ❤️ Their meals are just awesome 😍 and the best is the fish fillet elayil tawa , spicy and always cooked to perfection 🤩 my daughter also is a big fan of it. So if its a no cooking day , lunch at notebook is the first option😄

Iam a fan of calicut notebook, but not al nabba sharjah . Abudhabi calicut note book . if we compare both ,al nabba branch is average . for all the food i had from al nabba branch . I can only remember tea.

Eid Mubarak<br/><br/>This Mubarak celibrated with Calicut notebook. We ordered chicken & mutton biriyani. That was Awesome, Mouth watering teast & smell also, They served with 2 type of pickles especially Dates pickle 😋 , payasam & curd. Just one suggestion, ASAP please add egg with chicken biriyani. Ambiance is also good and fast service, would have rated higher than 5, if there was an option!!! Overall it was an amazing experience for us. Thanks to the team Calicut Notebook.

Enjoyed the dinner. Ordered soup and before that a special complimentary sweet in leaf was given. Lollipops were not that great but fine. Chapati and appam was fresh and both the chicken curries were excellent.

A good place for kerala food. The kanthari Fish Tawa is our all time favourite. The Indian dishes are worth the money. Would definitely visit again.

When we were staying in Nabba, this was our regular Friday destination. <br/>Good Food, Good ambiance, Best Service. Have got a good starter option, Ilayil Tawa being my favorite. A must go restaurant in Sharjah.

Right place for kerala food lovers. Always rush. Better to order for a home delivery. Pretty fast delivery service. Food is great. But the snacks are not good. There are other small cafeterias which serves great snacks in half price.

Calicut Notebook is Best option available for kerala food in the rolla area.They serves some good varities of seafood and chicken in authentic kerala spices.Pandanas chicken is must try as a starter. Ive tried the prawns malabari which also kept up with standards. This is a place where a keralite/south indian can confidently come over for a dinner/lunch with family or friends. Staffs are courteous and five stars for neatness.

Today morning had Appam and egg roast . It was excellent. So far the best appam and egg roast I had in sharjah. Do try it . Breakfast available only on weekends as of now.

Ghee rice and nadan erachi curry was our order for lunch.<br/>Coconut chutney and sweet dates pickle along with lemon pickle and payasam was also in the package. Pretty good packaging and very tasty food. Fast delivery.<br/><br/>One star less as the curry was not spicy even though we specifically ordered spicy curry.<br/><br/>Recommended food is bamboo biriyani and mutton biriyani. But both were out of stock by the time we ordered

Staff is well mannered and humble.. food is just too good for indian foodies.. loved the way the staff interact with the visitors.. overall a great experience. Their gesture to greet visitors with this amazing salad is quite unique.

Ayala shappu curry is very good. But i tried koonthal fry and it was not tasty and too much oily. Totally it was disappointed me. Tea is very good.

We always order take away and dine in at this place and they have never let us down. Their delivery is very quick as well, once I ordered food and advised it was urgent as I had guest coming over and they delivered it real quick. Keep the good work

We really liked their food especially the fish that's cooked in banana leaves. Portion size are good. Their thali is amazing. The taste remained consistent every time we visit. Service is fast.

Over priced

Ordered through Zomato, delivery was very fast. The worst butter chicken I’ve ever had. And the ghee rice was not good also. Rice was sticky

This would be the second time I am having food from this restaurant.Before writing about food I will first write about the delivery. I ordered through Zomato and in exactly 10 mins my door bell rings. It was a lightning speed delivery. Even though they are not far but compared to other restaurants this was good. The chicken biryani was typical malabari style but I am emphasizing more on the meals that I ordered. Fish meals!!! Too many side dishes come along with it. Nothing less than a sadhya. The main fish curry was yum and I can still feel the taste as I am writing the review. Awesome food, awesome delivery. Too good

A Kerala restaurant very close to my flat, me and my family have been to this place quite a few times. Pretty descent ambience and spacious, they have some variety dishes on their menu. The complimentary welcome drink and the welcome paan is one special thing that makes this restaurant stand out from the other restaurants. Do visit them for that special paan and some great food.

Good food here!! Had the most delicious Bamboo mutton biryani ever. so delicious and full of flavor, rightly spiced too. Will definitely recommend to all biryani lovers.

Best fish curry meals ever! So many different items in the meal, each with a distinct flavour, complete with two-thirds varieties of chutneys and chips and fried chilli and buttermilk. Earlier when they were called 'Alkapuri', they used to serve this amazing unique green leaf crunchy salad as an appetizer. They don't anymore and I really wish they do start serving it again. We've barely gone a la carte only once at the restaurant and so the review is only for the meals. One can order a side of crispy fried sardines to complement the meals. The fried sardines are just delectable!<br/>

Loved the overall experience.<br/><br/>Only issue i have noticed is with the chicken they use for chilly chicken, it tastes bad. Though the overall dish is yummy the chicken pieces taste bad which puts me off. The chicken must be very old or badly stored. They really need to look in to this matter.

The best i like about this restaurant is their salad.a different concept which should be tried out.starters are good like the chicken soup and sweetcorn soup.we had the butter chicken,chicken vazhattiyath,chatti curry fish and fish mango curry all were yum.they also have some nice juice which are refreshing and is must try.chembali fish mango curry with mango taste to point.wheat porotta n kerala porotta were not at all oily which is the best part.naan was good but got harden while serving but thats still ok bcoz taste was good.

Parking is hard to come by. I even park at two blocks away. Their food and service are that good. Particularly good for crab curry and fish curries. Porotta is excellent.  Even a simple rice, curd and fish curry combination can lead you to ever eat. It is so tempting that I am stopping the review here and visiting them again right now.<br/> <br/><br/>Note: Crab Kadappuram is their best curry, in my opinion

The food was delivered very late..guess it was because of the holiday traffic.<br/>Raw spicy mango salad was too oily.<br/>Chicken biriyani tasted too good.<br/>Kheer was a good treat.<br/>

Calicut Notebook located in Al Nabba has the South Indian Cuisine. The food is really tasty and spicy and they have wheat paratha which is also good. Very reasonable in price as well . You will be statistfied with this restaurant

WORST NAAN EVER. Got 3 naans home delivered. It would have easier to chew rubber :) no more Calicut Notebook.

I ordered the biryani in the hope that it’d be very enjoyable. Was a bit disheartening to find it very bland and flavorless.

Pretty good place to experience South Indian food . A good welcome drink is been served which itself is nice as it’s different from the regular squash which is been provided by others . Food is served hot I mean mostly prepared after the order especially the Indian breads. <br/>
