We discovered one such Italian Restraurant “IL MATTARELLO” hidden in the Sharjah University area, but easy to find, this restaurant is a great addition to a growing restaurant and cafe scene in this area. The place is sweetly decorated. You can see the lovely notes left by the customers all over the walls. They also have a small sitting for those who want a little privacy. Staff was welcoming and gracious.We were invited for the review there. The menu is varied and offers a few things not found in other Italian restaurants we have visited in Dubai and Sharjah. The chef there is Italian and it is evidenced in the food, which is really delicious. Coming back to the review.... we tried a variety of starters & main course. In starters we were served three different types of French fries ... each with different toppings. They serves a whole lot of variety of pastas ... we tried their - Penne pasta with pink sauce, - Ravioli funghi porcini e tortufo- Raviolo with mixed mushrooms, cream & onions. - Gnocchi 4 formaggi- mix of gnocchi & four different types of cheese There was also there speciality pizza- The Volcano Pizza .... it was super delicious & also the Pollo Alla Griglia- grilled chicken strips with grilled vegetables & rocca. I drinks we choose from their fresh juices options. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner To sum it all ... the place is really nice & is highly recommendable.
