The veg meals was delicious, nothing to complain. The prices are also very economical. A veg meal(unlimited) costs - 9 aed, non-veg meal(unlimited) - 10 aed. Avg. price for 2 - 20 aed(with tax).
In Dubai and Sharjah there are lots of restaurants serving traditional kerala chicken, beef and mutton dishes but only limited restaurants are available which serve kerala traditional sadyas. If you are at Qusais or AlNahda, Food book is the best option for a mini Sadya. Food book and Sasya Restraunts (Tasty Notes)are serving mini Sadya on every weekends. These restaurants located in Nesto Hypermarket Building-Muwailah Sharjah. Sasya is a purely vegetarian restaurant while Food book serves non veg dishes as well. As dining area is common we can order dishes from both restaurant. We had ordered non veg mini sadya ( sadya with fish curry). Served items were very tasty, specially the Mambalam pulissery and puli inchi was excellent . Only the rasam was not up to the mark. Sarkkara payasam and Unni appam were included in Sadya as sweets. Photo of this mini sadya was taken before they serve papadam and rasam. They are charging 16 AED for this Sadya and it’s really worth the money👍
You haven’t eaten tandoori chicken unless you’ve eaten it here.
One of the best resto in Sharjah. Their chicken biriyani is one of the best and ghee rice combo too. It is 14aed but worth the price. They also serve good meals which lot of people were having there.
A must try for family and friend crowd. No regrets
Regular customer of foodbook since few months.. restaurant was always crowded so we prefer take away.. their ghee rice beef combo is awesome.. beef dishes are very tasty..
Highly recommended for lunch.. it gives you a feel like you attended a kerala marriage sadhya..
Delivery was on time and the food prepared the same way I ordered it. They even called me to double check on my order. Always great service from my experience!
VERY NICE FOOD
POCKET FRIENDLY PRICE AND
FRIENDLY STAFFS .....SUGGESTED .........................................
Kindly request to open a branch in butina Nesto hypermarket Sharjah
Finally tried their Weekend special meal with fish curry and this review is purly based on that.
▫️AED 16 , decently charged for more than a dozen dishes they serve on a banana leaf .
▫️Unlike many restaurants in UAE, they serve you free flowing water.
▫️Vegetarian dishes with fish curry. North kerala buddies will only get that fish curry sadya feel 😉.
▫️Aviyal , sambar, fish curry, Unniyappam, pradhaman to name a few, everything tasted good.
⚠️Koottu curry was missing from the lot which was a big let down for me.
▫️Courteous staff and clean interior.
Give it a try if you like the kerala feast, you won't regret
Very good and tasty food I love there service and filer coffee is no 1 in sharjah. Dosta and mini Thalia is very good option. What great taste of cold coffe
Good variety menu, served fast, very well priced. It’s a good value for money for a quick meal. Both juices and hot drinks are prepared and served well. Good food hygiene and friendly staff.
follow my insta page @aswin.pillai. This might be a personal favorite for many foodies out there #mouthwatering #squidmasala... @foodbook.restaurants .

Late post had dinner Sherry fish curry with porata , its Fresh fish so good taste with freshly prepared porata so makes it better to eat. Recommend
Very noisy and the food lacks consistency when it comes to being good and flavorful.....
The best part would be the pricing that is offered and how the menu changes based on the day ans the time that you go
I have visited Food Book with my family during weekend for lunch. Tried their meals and Chicken Biriyani. Both were nice and tasty. The place was less crowded. Customer service was good and interior was decent. Parking was available as it is part of nesto hyper market. Recommended for families.
One of the best restaurants. The taste is awesome and loved them all. I got a sweet corn chicken clear soup and beef roast for main course as i just love that for my friday night dinners and got some aapams and parottas. Good staffs and pretty good kerala cuisine restaurant.
It perfect for weekends party family get together ambience is good friendly receiveing staff yummylicious food we ordered 1 king fish curry 1 veg fried rice it was delicious 1 plate puttu all items are well cooked u can get all varieties of kabebs this best for Kerala food lovers seating is good enough prices are budget friendly totally we all loved the food perfect for Ramadan iftar parties and also onam festival food we all loved it
PS : Never order Chinese from them, esp the noodles . Who adds fennel seeds in noodles man?
And yeah a bucket full of tomato ketchup in chilly chicken?
Other wise It’s a decent place to get your dinner sorted. I always like those place wer they have open kitchen . It’s s budget friendly place considering quality n quantity. Love their appam.
1 extra ⭐️ for the customer service , I ordered for chkn kanthari roast , the dish tasted good but it was filled with chunks of bones wch made it very difficult for us to eat , so we told the one who served us , he promptly took the dish away and asked us to order anything else of our choice instead of the previously ordered one .
Didn't know this place exists until a friend mentioned . Ordered fish meal . Served on banana leaf . Portion huge . Couldn't finish . Tasted yummy . Price reasonable . Food okayish . Don't mind going back .
I like this place for it's quality and fresh foods. We recommed the mango fish curry, chicken tawa fry. Fresh juices are good too and my personal favorite is mango elaneer sarbath
Decent family friendly restaurant located inside nesto supermarket...Foodbook serves both veg and non veg, tried their mango fish curry , kandhari chicken and some bread item.. Not overpriced, value for the money... Parking can get a bit of headache...
Evening time and we decide to have something from foodbook which is nesto we found good taste and service only apart from salad when I asked for salad it's come like onion chop bhurji type and I am like what....aprt from this good
You non-vegetarian lovers have a place to crash and enjoy the tasty Mutton briyani and chicken dishes.. it's just yum. The flavor of the Briyani was so good and the chicken was well cooked.. a good place to try with your friends and family..
Kanthari Chicken from Foodbook Muwaileh!!!!??? Really no idea why they named it as Kanthari Chicken, you can’t enjoy a bit taste of kanthari in this dish. Though the curry is tasty I was really disappointed as I was expecting Kerala traditional taste of Kanthari. Dear Foodbook team it’s not fair to sell dishes which can’t justify to its name at least 10%.
An economical tasty restaurant which always seems to be crowded.
The food here is amazing. Dragon chicken is a absolute must in this restaurant. I had chilli chicken, gobi manchurian also which was average.
Only problem was that it was terribly hot and suffocating.
~ 4.2/5 (Recommended)
Hidden quality Indian restaurant within Nesto Supermarket. Best to try out the unlimited Thali served on a banana leaf plate. Amazing dishes served on it with alot of variety. It can get really crowded during peak times.. So do expect to wait a short while to be seated.. Children do get an activity page to keep them busy while the food arrives..
One of the crowdest restaurant in muweilah area, serves quality and tasty food. They serve variety combos which are value for money. Good ambience, friendly staffs and quick service. You get special Kerala lunch on Fridays on a banana leaf( i didn't like the taste). Non vegetarian dishes are really awesome. Clean and tidy place. Please try this.
Visited this place last weekend... Food is reasonably priced with generous quantity... Dining hall is spacious and clean... We opted for lemon chicken and kanthari fish grilled as starters and kuttichira beef... Starters were really good especially the kanthari fish... we loved it and would recommend to all... beef curry served was good in quantity and oil may be reduced a bit but I guess it’s the way this specific dish is made and we end up packing it to home... overall good food with value for money...
Great food they serve always. Staff are so friendly and well behaved. Fresh milk tea is a good treat . But I have complain about malbari paratha always. They dont serve fresh one. They just make it hot in micro-oven.
An economical tasty as well as quality food in a clean ambience..this really is good for lunch time ..there are good combos with tasty combinations
If u love South Indian food, then this is is the place to be. Good portion, reasonable prices and good quality food.. Sometimes they take time to deliver... For dine in, I prefer the ajman outlet.
We had our dinner here on yesterday. It is a good spacious restaurant with nice ambience. The staffs are good and friendly. A variety of kerala dishes available here especially for non veg items. The quantity of the food also is good. The taste and quality has to be improvised because it is not reaching to our satisfaction level for the amount we are paying. Overall it is a good restaurant.
Good Restaurant with awesome interiors and the name is awesome like facebook. We have a party here.. the food tasted good.. we had both veg & non veg here.
One of the best restaurants to go in sharjah with friends or family. A frequent visitor. The staff are so friendly. Neat & clean. Delicious food for an affordable price. The long wait for a table in weekend days for dinner is the drawback. Best for kerala dishes
Great food.. pocket friendly menu.. wouldn’t recommend going on weekends, because it’s gonna be pretty packed up.. but yet you would love the food..
Foodbook is sort of "calicut Paragon" / "Salkara" dining experience that you can fetch at Muweilah Area. Ample space to go with your families. Fridays are mostly crowded but unlike some other restaurants of its scale , they control the people getting inside based on first come first serve basis which is a good thing. Hence you won't find people stumbling across or making a rush when you peacefully have your meal. Weekdays are relatively free. Lots of space. Apart from common specialised dishes they also have budget versions of typical items loved by Mallus. Ambience is good. Posting a pic of Falooda I had on a Friday. A nice place to try if you are a fan of Salkara /Calicut Paragon. I like their Erachi choru. Also explore Kanthari Soda 😊
Food taste and quality are excellent as in home. Service is nice, even home delivery is also on time. Seating & ambiance is looks good and simple.
Value for money is the USP for this restaurant!!
Visited yesterday with family...had 3 combos of kallappam, porotta and ghee rice
The chicken fry was good...beef roast with kallappam tasted a bit bland and smokey...
Chutta kozhi was also tasty
Total bill was just 34 aed...must be the cheapest dinner we had in a long time...
A lite visit to the nearest decent restaurant. Loved their starters ‘KANTHARI CHICKEN’
Hot and Sour Soup was average!!
Kanthari chicken felted a combination of Thai and Kerala!! Nice juicy spicy 🌶 something different from the usual starter.
Felt the quantity less compared to the price. Since the chicken in sliced thin it won’t be a mouthful dish. Staffs and ambience was good, wasn’t crowded since It’s a weekday.
Bad experience on their Hyderabadi Biriyani !! Rating-1
They do have a Combo deals seems Savers!!
Went for lunch one day. Ordered their meals and some beef fry. Service was on the slower side. However the quality of the food made up for it. They’ve got a fairly large seating area as well. Its not a pricey place so it’ll go easy on your pockets. Would come back to try more.
Best kerala restaurant in muwailah area.the biriyani is awsome.in evening ordering porrta and beef fry is a must try.every item is served with care . Bulk ordering for party is also good.deliverd biriyani was hot
The place is in the Nesto Hyper Market.... just 5 min drive from our home. We usually go there for grocery shopping. Foodbook is the place where we usually go & sit when we get tired of shopping & are hungry. It serves authentic South Indian food. I love the Idli sambhar here. We also tried there sweet corn soup, pepper chicken & friend potato starter ... can’t remember the name though, but it was awesome.
Being in hyper market, it’s always crowded. So pls avoid going there on weekends.... else you will have to come back home disappointed. 😀😀
Great flavors and service ... The order came after 20 minutes in our second visit for soups! I recommend it, though :) ... We had fish biryani and others
