We had pre-ordered onam sadya meal from this restaurant. They had promised that they would deliver the meal before 12.30 pm. But, we didn't receive the order at all. When we tried to reach their landlines to check the status, no one attended our calls. They are giving preference for dine in customer. Totally disappointed with this restaurant for their poor response. Not recommended for Onam Sadya order.

We had preordered for onam sadhyas. They had promised to deliver the meal by latest 1:30pm. I had tried to contact the restaurant since 1'o clock and all available contacts were busy. I finally got connected to a worker there and he told that he was on leave for the day and gave me 2 other landline numbers. Even after repeated trying, no one answered my calls. I haven't received the promised meals yet (6:30pm). I didnt even get any call from the restaurant regarding this. Never expected such poor services from such a hyped restaurant. We have been staying here in the UAE for 20+yrs and we haven't seen such lack of responsibility and credibility from any store.

We preordered onam sadya from Kurkum as we are regular visitors and orderers from this restaurant. Trusting the service we ordered this onam for 3 onasadya which they informed to be delivered before 1. We just tried to call them by 1.15 but to our shock no number was connecting. Waited till 2.30 and went to the hotel directly to ask abt the order. They kept closed board and one guy standing out of the restaurant informing all who goes there. He said the food is already went to be delivered. Again believing the words we waited till 3.30. No food has arrived. Ended up onam with biryani from other hotel. Time is 5 still food has not come and the management doesn't have a courtesy to call and inform they dont deliver. Very bad service and management. They ruined our onam celebration. My son's first onam ended this way..

Last day took my friend and his wife to kurkum after hearing a lot about this place from my friends. I was just curious about the name of this restaurant which sounds strange to me. However the food was really delicious and they served us the karimeen pollichath (4/5), Sagara kottu (5/5), Dragon chicken (5/5) appam and parotta (5/5). It is a decent Malayali restaurant good for a dine-in with friends and family

Ordered it at 11.30. Waiting till 12.30, did not get. Called them and that is when they said the order delivery starts from 12.30. That's new for me. However they say in 10 to 15min. But did not receive. After half an hour I started calling them frim 2 numbers from which I always call. They did not pick up. Then called from a new number, they picked up. Please Kurkum, understand, it is not the taste, it is the satisfaction which makes you love a restaurant. Very bad !

The restaurant people have turned out to be very arrogant these days.. i was a person who used to order food very often from kurkum..recently they stopped delivering pointing out that i had to place a minimum order..also on a friday i had placed an order for a beef dish..after 2 hours when i called them they say they are not delivering beef dishes ..i was shocked at the attitude of the restaurant people..they might have turned out to be everyone's favorite mallu spot which makes them feel very high of themsleves.. *pathetic!!!

Had a worst experience for dine in. Kurkum is a known restaurant in sharjah and no doubt in it. But customer care is always a very important point for a good restaurant. Me & my friends happened to come OUT of the restaurent due do the careless behaviour of supervisors. I have always had good experiences with Kurkum, I have visited on numerous occasions, ordered online as well, had no issues with service or food quality ever. But today, i had a bad experience, when i tried to order for home delivery to my office at Sajja area in Sharjah. I had clearly told the address & landmark was given as Sharjah Cement Factory, and they accepted to deliver the food here. After around 20 mins, the same guy called me & said they cannot deliver here as it is too far away (which i accept as valid reason), but then this should have been communicated at the first place when i placed the order. Now we have to come & collect the food, by the time the food will be cold. I would like to suggest that for people like us who like your food, please arrange to deliver it with a delivery charge at least, which we are ready to pay. Would be a great help!

I am really sad to put 1 star rating even their food was up to mark. ordered a beef biriyani and they delivered it after 2 hr( admit and accept it due to Friday and pray time ) . i was really shocked when it open by seeing the quantity of beef. there was nothing and I didn't complete the biriyani 50% while am not interested to eat balance biriyani as plain rise . they loot my 21 AED for nothing. worst experience !!! still i want to give a 4 star for their taste which i hold due to this poor experience .

Happened to order chatty choru from kurkum.i must it was a wrong decision.these baggars doest know the value of time.they tuk more than one n half hour to deliver the food that too after following up. Secondly we have ordered chicken chatty choru and they delivered it with beef.when I called them to complain this issues,they will never answer the call. Thirdly. Guys. Please never order chatty choru from them.they dono how it is.i must say. Choru was too sticky and not at all tasty. You do not feel like eating it. Please guys take it as warning before ordering chatty choru.

Kurkum is one of the best Malayali Restaurant in Sharjah near by Mega mall. After the shopping we decided to dinner with Kurkum. We had Malabar porotta, chappati & Appam with gopi Manchurian & mushroom masala. Overall that was Good. Mushroom masala were not found to be the expected levels. A great place for Indian Kerala dishes.. That slurping delight when ever i think of the kandari fish fry and the fish mango curry is heaven.. ( can't remember the exact name in the menu) not a keralite but love all the dishes served here from the welcome drink to the starters ,main course etc. Only very few restaurants are concerned about the service and the customer satisfaction and believe that only customer satisfaction can bring them back again and again just for a single dish.Good job team..

To be very honest..it’s horrible.i had ordered chicken charcoal pepper and it taste garlic and very salty.i couldn’t eat that portions, then I started to taste chilly chicken, when I open its fully soaked in oil.. The packing sauce,raita all were leaking and opened up..stay healthy and avoid this..Bad experience with kurkum food..

Ordered angamaly fish curry...supposed to add nostalgia to your home town..gravy was super tasty..but kudos to the restaurant ..adding an adventure twist to the dish..when you order the dish you have to have your snorkels and goggles ready..you have to dive in to the dish and find the fish...very rarely seen .i did find 2 little bits...but really interesting and fun filled

I can take warm food for home delivery but not cold food. I stay 2 min drive from Kurkum. So please deliver on time or don’t accept online order on weekends, simple.

Visited kurkum restaurant for the first, sorry to say experience was not gud. Ordered beef fry, wich was like ok. Prawns sukka , whic was not baked properly, and chicken which was very spice. Before tat ordered mango salad, where they poured tooooo much coconut oil in that, when asked about that, waiter said it was olive oil. None the less quality was not upto the mark for such price. . Ambiance is good, there is separate room for families.

One of the best kerala restaurants in sharjah. Located nearby the mega mall sharjah with ample parking space. We tried the chatti choru which is served in a mud pot which tasted yummy. For my second visit i had the kattupoth varatiyath, chicken varatiyath with kerala porotta and pathiri. The beef is the best i had after coming in UAE. Others kept the standard too. Overall its a nice place to be for a dinner /lunch with ur family. The staff people are courteous enough.

We went here on a Friday afternoon. It gets really crowded by 2pm so it's always safe to reserve a seat. We had porota, shredded chicken with garlic, beef biryani and a spicy green chicken curry. The food is extremely good and extremely reasonable! The service is not bad as well. Though crowded, the waiters try their best to get everyone's food and requests catered too.

I'm giving them a 4 for price and quantity. Delivery was on time. We ordered beef roast and mutton Korma which were both great!! Appam on the side was the perfect accompaniment. Didn't much care for the vegetable stew but it was okay. Will definitely try some more items soon.

Kurkum food is so tasty and delicious but unfortunately their delivery service and call attending is very bad, to deliver from their restaurant to immigration road near ENBD and Dubal Islamic bank they need 45 minutes, even we request to deliver in 30 minutes, for them it’s a straight NO, to cover a 500 meter distance that too a normal working day, order placing time 12:45pm. Hope their management will look into this issue.

Decided to go here for lunch to have Malabar Chicken Biryani. Lots of rush on a Fri afternoon. Parking was easily available right outside the restaurant. We went to the family area to be seated. It took 10 minutes and 3 waiters to get the menu for us. And to make order it took 15 minutes of waiting to get one staff to come and take our order. Though there were many staff, most of them were running up and down in a hurry and no one was paying attention. The food arrived quickly after the order was made. It tasted really good. But I’ll not return back here even though the food was good, purely due to unsatisfactory customer service.

Kurkum restaurant offer good food , good service and their staff are courteous. Their home delivery is quick so whenever sudden guests appear Kurkum is a the saviour. I would recommend everyone to try this restaurant I love their fish curries and veg kurma.

One among the best, Kurkum is my all time favorite restaurant for Indian cuisine. Their mango salad is blissful. Crush pepper shredded chicken and Travancore chicken fry is delicious. There is not a single dish one can point and say is the best because all the dishes are a delight for one's taste buds. If you are someone who loves spicy food like me then search n more this is the place you are looking for!

We have explored this restaurant for south indian dishes. Once we have tried their meals with sea foods as side dish. Its a unique experience. We also tried their breads including pathiri, wheat parata, chapathi along with different south indian special chicken and beef curries. They never disappointed us.

Nice place jus outside Mega Mall in Sharjah specialising in south Indian dishes. We had ordered acchayams chicken curry it was fabulously delicious made in coconut milk. The overall experience was good. The Chapatis could have been better but definitely worth a visit. The interiors are well done and well maintained clean outlet.

The green chillies are added on the top. The dish goes well with appam (Kerala pancake) or rice. This one was above average so my rating is 3*, (b) #pacha #kandhari #tawa @kurkum_restaurant - How’s your spice level? Come and test it over here. If you have tried wasabi, then you know what I mean. Kanthari (bird eye chili or peri peri) is one of the hottest chilies typically found south east Asia. Fish pan fried in kanthari chilly is not only hot but also delicious at the same time. One way to define Kurkum is "Value for Money". Everything served here is simple n tasty and takes you to your grandma's kitchen back home. Expect no frills when u walk in to this place. The ambience n all the other fancy things that you'd find in other restaurants from the same area might be absent, but it's a guarantee that ur empty tummy'd be fully with Malabaree food n you'd have a grin as wide as your face. And to boot, you still wouldn't be embarrassed about your wallet after a trip here.

This was by far the worst service experience I ever had. If you are not a malayali or keralite dont even think of going this place as they only give reference to people who can speak their language. Captain and waiter dont even entertain you if you dont speak like them. Food is good but service and equality needs to be worked on. Very dissatisfying. I wish I can give ZERO star to the service but no option of that. Also they should put a language classes out of their restaurant so that it can be easy to communicate with the staff while placing an order.
