We tried Dahi Puri. Good quantity for 2 people to have. There is a lack of sweetness, otherwise it is perfect. Good varities of quick bites.
My suggested place in Rolla for chatt dishes and I am regular buyer from them. For dine in the space is lesser but take away is good.
This is a vegetarian restaurant I discovered on Zomato - and decided to give it a try.
Had the following
Samosa - the crust of the samosa was really khasta - and the stuffing was very well seasoned - good value for money too. The accompanying green sauce appeared too green, but the sweet chutney was nice.
Papdi chaat - very well made chaat, but the curd was a bit too sweet, which after a few bites becomes more obvious. The assemble with all the ingredients is very good.
Aloo muttar - This was the downer - the green peas were not cooked and were still hard and raw - not good.
The rotis were great
The service was very very good - the person attending our table was so focused on getting us whatever was finishing - be it the sliced onions or the salad - bang on the table even before asking for it -
The service is the extra star in the rating, as the food because of the aloo muttar qualified for a 3.

Absolute value for money! Gujrati specialities are a must try, be sure to order the Roti (gujrati) with butter, their light and soft phulkas served piping hot. Jabelis are crisp and not overly sweet! This place is a gem!!
The best place for Friday morning jalebi-gathiya. Fresh, hot and very kathyavadi style. Oh, don't forget their sambhaaro & chutney. Have never tried anything else to comment.
Nice Gujrati thali served with one paneer dish and moong whole masala and yellow Dal. Service staff are friendly with genously giving the food.
Poori sabji is just superb. The spicy sabji which comes along the puri is just one of its kind. It's available only in the morning. I recommend.
Vìsited Portsaid Pure veg restaurent today for Dinner with Family and relatives. This was our first visit to Port Said pure veg restaurent. From outside it looked like more of sweet shop and chat corner with few tables in ground floor and couples of tables on upper level. Food was very nice and Paneer was fresh. The staff was very polite and friendly. You should try it.
I tried fafda & jalebi here, I must say this is the most authentic Gujrati taste I have tasted in UAE, I will recommend you should try the food
I would have given 5 star but they don't do home delivery so I have cut a star there.

Small place but really good food and taste for vegetarian people also they have amazing variety of sweets and namkeen as well.. must try there breakfast as well.
A typical gujarati restaurant that serves farsan, snacks, and simple thali. Of all the places I have tried fafda, this is the only place I like it in sharjah. In the busy streets of Rolla, with low chances of finding a place to park doesn't stop me from coming here whenever I am in the main city. Highly recommend their fafda, jalebi and chutney/kadhi. Not the best place to sit and eat but definitely can take away

We entered into a cosy little restaurant with no expectations. We had been searching for another restaurant we went to long back, but it was closed. We went to another one, and another, but all of them were closed.
That's when we stumbled into Portsaid Vegetarian Restaurant.
We ordered loads of parathas and they came with green chutney and raita. The waiters were very polite and sweet. One of them, who was serving us, offered us some buttermilk and we drank the nice, cold beverage with relish. The price was also reasonably nice. We had ordered four different parathas, some chole, the two cups of buttermilk and they all tallied up to 42 dirhams.
Overall it was a good experience.
We returned with our stomachs full and would surely visit once more.
A place to go for if you crave gujju food..and trust me they won't disappoint you.. one of the best places to have Jalebi and gathiya 🙂 it has become my every Friday morning breakfast joint 😝
Wide variety of gujju delicacies available and they are worth licking your fingers for 😜 the place is small but a welcoming staff and awesome food 😊

Lovely place in shj when it comes to vegetarian food. Loved their Poori bhaji that's what I had on a Friday morning for breakfast it was freshly prepared and loved it will be visiting again for sure

U get a homely feeling as u enter this place... uncle at the counter is very friendly and always gives free jalabi to my kids 😋... I have been visiting this place for a quite sometime now.. the fafda is one of their specialty with live counter and I love it..... my kids fav too... the also have good sandwiches option... vada pav is good too.... u can also dine in with very good vegetarian subzi roti dal etc... I love their dal kichidi the most...

I went to portsaid to have a breakfast of puri bhaji and I wasn't disappointed. For such a good price I had my tummy full with delicious bhaji and hot puris.
Portsaid has always been one of my favorite vegetarian restaurant. It never fails to amaze me.

Portsaid has been one of the longest standing, pocket friendly and utmost value for money restaurants tucked away in a lane, diagonally opposite KM trading in Rolla.
Jignesh and his family have gone out of their way to curate a menu that not just gives you lip smacking streetside chats, vadas, samosas but amazing sandwiches, pizzas, main course meals and desserts
Service is top notch and orders are processed very fast especially due to the high customer satisfaction that Jignesh and his father value
If you are fond of Gujarati delicacies then their Fafdas, patra, undhiyo are undoubtedly the best in Rolla and their Pani puri, bhel puri, sev puri, basically all chat items stand out and give very tough competition to similar restaurants like Raghuvanshi and Gangotri in the hood.

Very good paani puris, spiced just enough, not extreme on heat but perfect. size of the puris is mouth full, slightly bigger than the regular puris.
samosa chola, tasty but extremely spicy, burns the mouth.(Update: the heat is now reduced, thank you)

Small place, not one of the best in ambience but clean enough serving good food.
P.S. Feel like the menu has bern re-priced again, going a bit overprice for what we get.

Best price with tasty food, pure veggie, our all time Hit menu is fafda and chatni, they also make nice paratha, we go there at least once a week, u can eat samosa pav.. pani puri is also one of the best option, u can try bhel puri, kachori chhole is awesome also.. don’t forget to meet Dada - owner of the restaurant, he will not let u go without a piece of sweet (kaju katri)
Very good and pocket friendly vegetarian restaurant.Their dhoklas are best in town. And they are good in chats too. But parathas and pav baji were not upto the expectations. Try their jalebies too,,you wont regret.The ambience is not that good with limited seats.

We happened to be in the area for some work and were looking for a place for lunch. Had heard about this place for their fafda/vanela gathiya (gujju dish) and thought let's give it a try. Oh and we were surprised and satisfied with what they offer. One of the best.
It's a small vegetarian joint serving chaats and fresh gujju food. We had fafda, sev tameta and rotis for lunch. And everything was decent and freshly made and served.
I had food recently from DesiBites after relaunch and liked it much. Would like to go for it again. Location is also convenient to visit..:)

Port Said has always been a regular family joint for the our veggie cravings for years and Jignesh Bhai and his parents have always welcomed all their customers with a very good home like to ambience especially giving away sweets and little kachoris to kids
This place hands down to has the best variety of parathas in Rolla which is commendable for a Gujarati resto and has very pocket friendly curries out of which Veg Patiala and Nargis Kofta can never be missed, rotis are soft
But we have even more fond memories of them having the best and largest varieties of parathas in Rolla. All the best Port Said and may you keep spreading the good love of tasty food to all
Very nice vegetarian restaurant which is suitable for a good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff here is very friendly and food here is very good. I have been eating in this place for long time and can't choose one particular dish because whatever I order here with the staffs suggestion comes out to be very nice.

Had a take away of vada pav from here & it was yummy, a bit spicy though for the stomach. It costs just - 2.50 aed for a vada pav. The service is good.
You've got to try this one. Tiny little place in a bustling area - parking is a bit of an issue but there's a lot nearby where you can park for 5/hour.
Pav bhaji, Gol gappas, and mix / dahi chaat (most if not all Indian street food delicacies) - take you right back home. Incredible flavor, at a very low price. Put it down on your list!

Jalebi, fafda, dhokla and patra's is like a rocking start to a great morning.... this place was recommended by a dear friend Vinod Bhatia and what can I say say am already in love with their jalebi, fafda, poori bhaji and samosas, excellent taste and super value for money. This place is a small eatery but amazing snacks. The owner Jignesh bhai's dad is a wonderful and a very welcoming man loved his hospitality and makes us keep coming here again and again. After eating the breakfast here you will surely say Maja ni life ;)

started dining in here by 2005 and this place was so small those days. they have extended it few years back. we still walk in here for breakfast, poori bhaji with fried green chillies and carrot salad. just out of the world... its so simple, but very tempeting. have tried fafda, masala tea and rajma curry and all are very tasty. very friendly owner and good service also.

Good to go for gujarati snacks. I like its dabeli and vada pav much as its grilled something i don't get it usually. The fafda's are quite good. And the paratha's are also wonderful. Much recommanded.

I tried the vada pav and pav bhaji at this place. Its pretty reasonable and the quality is decent. Vada pav was better than their pav bhaji. The pav they would just grill it in a toaster with butter and bhaji was tasting pretty much like those frozen pav bhaji packets from India. Almost thought of askin if it wasnt those packet ones . I would recommend this place to anyone cravin for vada pav. They have other dishes in menu and would definately try once m around that area
Have been one of the first customers of this cafe. Have seen it go through a series of changes in their mode of business, their staff, their menus...each bringing a better than previous experience. A small outlet only for quick snack or meal. Its a cafeteria trying their best to meet customers demands. Dont expect exclusive family treatment and ambience although there are tables a level-up where you can still have privacy and enjoy.The latest menu has lot of north Indian chat and snacks options, every item is tasty. Price, Quality, Taste has never been an issue... Always satisfied. Best outlet to collect variety of Fresh farsan for picnics. Few selected sweets are also worth trying. Service is usually fast and as rightly pointed by another writer, Uncle will do the best to give an elderly love to Kids by free sweets offer.

And it was just awesome I went 4 times back to back in just 3 weeks.
Tried pani puri It was superb really big road side panipuri.
The best thing is the serve live real hot fafda even at the time of 10 pm .
There all chaat items are nice. Tried punjabi also at my one visit that was also good but make sure you ask them to add less salt, because I feel they are little high on salt.
Rest I will suggest if you are in gujarati restaurant try only chaats and gujarati items only. Don't try pizza, pizza was a big joke aur you can say it was indian road side pizza not the real pizza,...

Been here several times now. On the outside, it's not very enticing. But I tell you, don't miss it. I have been coming here quite regularly now for their Friday breakfast. The puri bhaaji coupled with their masala tea is a perfect one to kick start your day on a high note. I have also tried their koki paratha and gobi paratha. They too are absolutely lovely. Although have never been here for a full meal, their snacks have also never disappointed me. An evening date with their faafda, ragada pattice, samosas and jalebis is sure to cheer you up.

Too good Panipuri......It was our first visit this evening and started with Panipuri......the water was of fresh herbs and no citric acid (nimboo ke ful). Was perfect in taste. Can't stop over selves having one more dish.

Recommend for their breakfasts! Go in the mornings and try out their Puri Bhaji, Parathas and never forget to have their Jalebi and Fafada. The papaya chutney served with the Fafada is unique and very tasty. It's my among my favorite weekend breakfast destinations.
I love indian food. According to me you get a best gujarati snacks at all time.. fafda, parathas , golgappa & panjabi dishes are awesome. Must visit place if you are in sharjah.
Don't be fooled by the looks of the place. If u want good quality food with affordable and quality this is the place to be. Size doesn't matter its the food that matters. And they have a good service with excellent Gujarati dishes with each having a wonderful flavor. Ambience is low 2 for me but food is high 5 for me.

Its a small food joint n mostly crowded but the food and service is amazing.Run by a gujju family and they always go above the par level of courtesy .. u ll feel like at home or in ur hometown eating the same grt tasty chat.i love dhai batata poori which i can guarantee to be best in UAE. u can aslo try pani poori or fafda.
also always my first choice to takeaway dinner as everything taste good and is made exactly according to ur demand.

An extremely crowded but worth wait the crowd chaat corner/Gujarati restaurant. Despite of the crowd the waiter was very attentive. A man I believe to be the owner was very kids friendly and was giving away kaju katli and puris to the kids saying anything for the kids which was really welcoming . This is our first visiT. Food tastes delicious And the appearance of other food items looked appealing which made us to order for more.

Yet another food joint, one of the oldest joint, food here is toooooooooooo good. I remember how this place was too small with one shutter and few years back they have changed to bigger by extending to the adjoining shop as well. Jignesh' father started this in 1980s and still he is running it with his family members, he is most respected for his contribution to our society by providing the quality food which is commendable.I must also share, whenever I go to this place, I feel am standing in the streets of Satellite in Ahmedabad (I used to have a great time with elder bro there). My wife & children enjoy their pani puri (one of the best in sharjah) whenever we move for shopping in al adil. Last Friday me and my younger bro family been for breakfast. We all had poori bhaji & fafda (live). If you want the best gujju poori bhaji, fafda (live counter, great taste), then this should be the place for you. I remember in the olden days (when one shutter shop was there), they used to sell the poori bhaji for 2dhs (I am not kidding) with 6 pooris, bhaji, fried chilly & carrot salad (you will die to eat this salad). Now they sell for 5dhs which is damn cheap. Man, all I can say that you won't stop with 6 pooris and you will definitely ask at additional cost, bcoz there is a magic in their bhaji and carrot salad. They refill bhaji & salad as much you want.about fafda, man I never had such a wonderful hot fafda even in Ahmedabad. Such a great taste, especially hot fafda hing sprayed on the top of it and served with yellow chutney & carrot salad. Suu bhath che, majhaa aavigyo ! The Punjabi food is also very good here and the sandwiches pizza too, but if they can restrict oil in Punjabi food and a bit more focused on hygiene issues, they will have a long way to go. At times, service is a bit slow, but that's understandable with the kind of rush they have.Go & enjoy if you really miss Gujarat.
A perfect place for typical gujju food lover. Ambience of the restaurant makes one little doubtful to eat. But the food here really tastes good. The fafda dish here was of the best quality, which I haven't even tasted in Gujarat yet. Aloo parathas were soothing. Summing up, I would give it 4/5 for food, 2.5/5 for ambience and 3/5 for service.

My mouth starts watering just thinking about this restaurant. absolute blisss i must say. Must try their parathas, Paneer, Sweets, Chat ... actually go try anything there and you will love it.
Food is tasty 😋 ... U will feel like Home 🏠... I tried their Dal Makhni n hot Chapattis.... U wouldn't get the perfect taste of Punjabi style Dal Makhni but u can manage that as u r sitting at Gujarati resto... I tried their Samosa also that's perfectly much tastier 😃... Even though there r many employees but still u will have to wait 😞 I wanted to give 4.0 rating for the food 🍴 but due to lagging in service I'm giving 3.5 ...😐
It is economical place, gives you impression of good old halwai style restaurant which are average in ambiance but good in food quality.
If you love vegetarian food you will like the food served here, snacks and sweets. Gentry is generally middle class.
A very good place for Gujrathi food and thalli which seems to be dwindling now a days here. Family run business which adds to the warm hospitality and feel. Amazing jalebi fafda with the jalebi being not too thick nor too sweet just perfect and the hot piping fafda made right fresh just in front of your eyes with special porbander masala on top is just too hard to resist. Awesome puri bhaji and range of parathas too methi, aloo, paneer, gobi and so on. Koki is more of a Sindhi dish so you can have better elsewhere. Hope it maintains its taste and cleanliness. A must for every early Friday breakfast lover. Yet to try their thalli and evening snacks though.
