I would highly recommend Porterhouse Steaks and Grills as a restaurant and bar choice. The food and service was excellent and at a very high standard. Our server Zin really made the experience, providing a professional and friendly service. She was very attentive catered to all our needs. I would highly recommend this venue and look forward to going back again.
We popped into the sports bar there for a quick bite to eat and watch the rugby and Rooshan looked after us superbly.
This is our first time here in Porterhouse steaks and grills and they exceeded our expectations! Great service, the ambiance is really good, amazong chefs! The husband and I love this place. It reminds us of this great steak place in or home country. The service is always great and the manager is fantastic! They even have live music some nights.
We stayed at the Sofitel recently and went to this restaurant, and absolutely loved it. The ambience and setting was amazing, and the food was very good. We had a Chefs special mixed grill, which was actually really good value and tasted delicious, will definitely be going back.

Being ardent meat eaters ourselves, we guess you could blame us for being imprudent enough to have never visited this place. Now that we did, better late than never right? And what a perfect way to kick start our fascination with the meat at Porterhouse than to sample its newly introduced “Saturday Roast” concept.Concept of Saturday Roast:
The Saturday Roast is a set menu that is served (every Saturday) from 5pm – 7pm. Being a classic of all traditions, the Saturday Roast is a three course menu that’s serves everything you’d expect. Succulent meats, flavorful trimmings and not to forget an extraordinarily delicious dessert at the end; this Roast is all things good and wholesome. On an added note, we were also positively intrigued with Porterhouse’s intention to promote early dining (explains the timings).The Food:
Our set menu comprised of the below;
– Soup or Salad of the day
– Roast Beef with a Herb and Pepper crust beef cube roll
– Snow Peas and Shallots Fricassee, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy.
– Caramelized Granny Smith Apple Crumble with Apple Crystalline and Salted Caramel Sauce.
Our salad was a bit ordinary, however a lighter and healthier alternative to the soup. For us though, we relished that Potato Soup until we licked the bowls clean. It had a perfect consistency and the flavors were spot on. Absolutely wholesome!As for the Roast Beef, there were mixed reviews on the table as one portion was perfect cooked and melted in the mouth, while the other was over cooked making it very hard to chew.
As far as the trimmings go, we loved them all and felt that complemented the Roast Beef perfectly. In particular, the Fricassee has the most amazing flavor and sauce that tasted good even on its own. Another favorite was the Yorkshire Pudding that was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Drench it with the gravy and it tastes heavenly.The dessert too, didn’t disappoint. Right from the juiciness of the apples to the perfect texture of the crumble, one bowl was definitely not enough. We also loved the addition of Salted Caramel sauce as opposed to regular crème anglaise since it enhanced the richness and flavor of the dessert.
Was exciting experience with great food and atmosphere... we ordered 2 salads, the apple onse and the rocca and spinach salad both were so good with light dressings... for the main course we tried 3 things.. the prime US steak, the New Zealand steak and the Australian Chateaubriand which is suitable for 2 ... we enjoyed all the steaks with no exception, all were cooked to perfection. For sweets we had their Apple crumbles and chocolate fudge... I preferred the apple as it comes with salted caramel unbelievably delicious

Love the landscaping and design of Sofitel on the Palm - inspired by an exotic Polynesian island theme, the sprawling spread of foliage and streaming water elements give this place a surreal setting - specially at night, when the ochre lights cast a ethereal halo around the al fresco setting of Porterhouse - steakhouse par excellence. My order melted upon placement on the tongue and so did my dining partner with her order of prime cuts. A private gourmet experience worth every penny, and much more.
A very lovely dining experience. The steaks were fantastic, the quality of the meat was very good. Friendly staff and good service. Their Shisha is also fantastic.

Went for the Rare brunch and it didn't disappoint... The highlight of the brunch is that serve you all the food to the table... For two people we got served too many dishes... The highlight of the dishes I must say are the beef tartare, chicken liver, garlic bread with cheese, meant Lahem bread and the meat cooked to perfection... The best thing is for AED 350 u get brunch and access to the pool so it's great value for money
Went to a family dinner to Porter House and really really enjoyed the food! Excellent steak restaurant. Good place for groups or just couples. Fast and attentive service. Nice ambiance. The bread is yummy and the Scottish salmon that I ordered was delicious! Side orders are quite small portions, so would suggest ordering several of them. I really liked mashed potato and vegetable hot pot. My husband had steak and said it was very good. Sofitel offers complimentary valet parking.

A nice restaurant. We dined here for valentines dinner. We were offered a set menu which costed 750 for a couple.
We were first offered a bread basket with butter which was fresh and tasted nice. Instead of alcohol drinks which were offered in the set menu we asked the staff to kindly change it to moctails and the staff did that with no extra charge. I ordered for a mixed fruit and my husband opted for fresh mint with lime, both tasted great.
We were first offered with an amuse bouche to stimulate the appetite, gratin gillardeau oyster Rockefeller with cream spinach and hollandaise. It tasted nice.
For appetisers we were offered ocean bay prawns with spiced beet cannelloni , vegetable tartar and goat cheese. I was quite disappointed with this appetiser, it did not taste any good and had a funny smell.
The middle course had caramelised foie gras, which was French toast brioche with sweet and sour pears. It tasted very nice. The pear complimented the dish very well.
For the mains my husband prefers beef and hence opted for the U.S. Prime tenderloin with corn beef hash which was amazing along with the bearnaise sauce. Since I'm not a beef fan I had requested the staff in advance while doing the booking for a fish-sea bass and they cooked it for me perfectly well and tasted amazing.
For desserts we were offered the Rose bonbon which was rose flavoured white chocolate mousse with milk chocolate cremeux , dark chocolate shreds and raspberry coulis. It tasted amazing and was something very unique and different.
My husband also ordered a surprise cake for me which was very thoughtful and it made my day.
The place is nice and the service was good.

We started with the polynesian salad with wagyu beef, it was very nice eventhough was not 100% sure that it was wagyu... And then followed by the huge 1.2kgs Porterhouse steak, that was delicious and cooked to our liking, just delicious! We had the homemade Bearnaise and a chipotle roquefort sauce, both of them were delicious. The truffle fries did not have so much taste and the crispy shiitake were a bit too oily...
All in all its a good steakhouse.
I don't like meat but this was excellent beef. Well cooked, nicely presented. Service can be improved but overall good experience. We will go back.
Quite restaurant on a Thursday night but good food and service!
Craving for a good steal meaty meal, we ventured out to try a new place. The entrance is pretty and green to take some nice pictures. We sat near the window and had a cozy table set for us.
We went straight for the main course and ordered one USA prime steak 180 and my husband ordered the Australian steak 180. The sides came along with the main dish. We got the chipotle sauce which was amazing and the mushroom sauce.
Side dishes that went perfectly with the tender and juicy meat were the truffle fries (my all time fav!!) and the mash potato (which was beautifully textured and tasted perfect!!)
All in all it was a delicious meal and their cheesecake was great along with their Apple crumble dessert. The apple crumble was too sweet to finish but nice to share.
The place is very nice ..and romantic ..staff were friendly ..order didn't take much time ..I ordered steak medium to well it came perfectly as I asked..their mash potato is yummy. Would go back again

This place is amazing.
The sides, the sides! Order as many as you think you can handle because the two of us ordered 3 and they were all amazing. I ordered a 4th half way through the meal.
The meat is seriously good and grilled to perfection. Also the hotel is great, really nice place. Oddly the lobby smells great, when you go you'll see what I mean. The wine list is extensive and the service exceptional.
This hotel has great F&B.
If you like steak and don't mind dropping a little money (as one should when eating a great cut of meat) go here.

The steak house restaurant is amazing. Loved the dinner and the steak was juicy and tender. Loved appetizer choices too and the banana dessert it is out of the world. Diane who waited on our table was brilliant and quick. Super friendly with a big smile on her face :) loved the service. The manager Mr Joel came to our table and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. This restaurant is a gem stone hidden in this hotel.

Fabulous brunch at Porterhouse. We did the full alcohol package. Free flowing beers wines and cocktails. Food was delicious and great amount. Loved the carving of the meat at the table and the Yorkshire puddings with gravy! Great friendly staff constantly replenishing drinks. There is also a outdoor terrace area which is perfect for this time of year. Thoroughly enjoyed this brunch we will do it again and would highly reccomend.

Fantastic food and service!
We stayed at the Sofitel Dubai the palm hotel where the Porthouse Steak & Grills is located and visited this restaurant regularly and all I can say is what an amazing restaurant it is! Everything from the decor, food and the staff team were amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and can’t do enough for you and the food quality is to a high standard, cooked fresh and tastes delicious.
During our stay we attended a themed lunch at the restaurant which was themed on the squid games (Netflix) and all I can say is wow! This was so much fun, they had staff dressed up in outfits from the TV series, music and also themed games for guest to play, this was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my partner, thank you we’ve never been to a restaurant that has done themed lunches like this, we highly recommend you visit.
We want to thank all the amazing staff who were always so welcoming during our visits, Joyce and Nina were amazing, but a extra special thanks to Desi who really made a stay special (Thank you)

The most amazing brunch! Food, service, drinks all 5 stars or above if I could! The quality and quantity of the food was incredible. I loved the personal touch of dishes being carved at your table as well as personalised cocktails shaken per order. The themed brunch, DJ and game at the end was super fun and something different for brunch in dubai. For what you pay and the quality of food, drinks and service it really is outstanding.
