We stayed at the Anantara for a short staycation and were here for breakfast.

There is a set menu as the resort hasn't started the buffet breakfast yet ever since the pandemic. The menu has juices, to freshly cut fruits, porridge, granola and options from a main menu that you could choose.

From eggs to pancakes they have a good variety that you can choose from. I started with fresh orange and carrot juice and a platter of cut fruits. We were then brought a bread basket with breads and croissants. We were served granola and porridge too from the set menu and ended breakfast with some eggs. I called for poached eggs with avocado and the husband called for an omlette with onions and peppers.

Everything was really fresh and tasted good. It was surely a great breakfast spread with a good variety and a kids breakfast menu too. I would surely go back for a meal here.

Average food a bit overpriced the wait wasn’t as long as some people have stated and the service was pretty good so I would give this place 3/5

I always eat here when I come to the beach at Anantara. It’s a bit tucked away next to the main toad under the residences building. Usually get 1 main and split it between the 2 of us the portions are quite big. The crispy chicken brioche is the best dish I tried so far. This time I had the vegan burger, lemon-mint and frappe. It’s a cheaper option compared to the Beach House and they have creative dishes not just the usual pizza and pasta.

REVO CAFE, 2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 desserts, 2 prosecco glasses, 1 cider, 1 large bottle of water (DHS475, £103, $129, EUR117).

Revo Cafe was not somewhere on my radar until I booked a Dine & Unwind package through the Anantara Hotel which also hosts the Revo Cafe.

Big hotel cafes are paint by numbers, unremarkable and transactional: a place you rest your bones before you check-out, board a flight and head back home.

Revo Cafe seems unshackled by that convention and challenges the notions and presumptions loaded into 'cafe'.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Fig & Goat's Cheese Salad: it's a generous portion of fresh rocket loaded with torn fresh figs, creamy tangy chèvre goat's cheese, truffled honey glazed walnuts and pomegranate vinaigrette. At 60dhs, it's a generous main course, fresh and balanced.

- Crispy Chicken Brioche: a chicken sandwich in a cafe would hardly make an positive impression yet alone a mention. This fried chicken sandwich is crispy, moist and pressed between a mattress-sized brioche. A soft springy king-sized mattress that allows for lettuce, tomato, barbecue mayo, sweet child and coriander. The side of fries with truffle mayonnaise is just greedy but that's what makes this dish unapologetically good.

- Pan-Seared Sea Bass: it is one of the pricier items at 95 dhs and it's one of the better casual dining sea bass dishes I've had in Dubai. It's a generous stack of sweet sea bass on a bed of braised young fennel and asparagus topped in a crown of raw apple and fresh fennel slaw. It's impressive cooking from a kitchen that also makes rice waffles and all day breakfasts. My only quibble? The tomato basil consommé is a light broth but adds very little to the dish. Either lean into the broth to amp the flavour or remove it all together.

- Chocolate Cake: it's the kind of steep, delicious, dark wedge that a 4x4 would struggle to surmount. Dense, rich, moorish, unapologetically good. You could sink this cake with a delicious port and then curl up in a chair like a cat because you'll need a nap

- Licensed. Beer, wine, champagne, sparkling etc. This is impressive for a cafe taking the benefits of being inside a large hotel.

LOWLIGHTS:
- The Carrot Cake: this shares some of the same characteristics of the chocolate cake but it doesn't work here A carrot cake should be flurry, moist, spongy and topped with a lather of rich cream frosting. This carrot cake is so dense it is almost soggy and then topped with dry oats (complete with husks) and dried fruit. The textures are off, it's not nearly sweet enough and they should go back to the drawing board.

- Location. It's far down the end of the Palm Jumeirah so you will likely never know about this place if you are not in the area. I imagine a high concentration of its clientele are hotel guests or people snuffling up offers like the Dine & Unwind.

Revo Cafe is not breaking any culinary trends. It's not pushing the boundaries of convention. There's no dry ice, no melting chocolate orbs, no table side prep. It takes good food, simple food, strips it down to its basic elements and builds it back up.

Would I come back here again? Yes, absolutely.

One fine Friday morning, we took a long drive to Anantara The palm and set down for a breakfast at Revo Cafe which has an ambience very welcoming with rustic decor. We chose to have some healthy drinks and coffee to start with.

Then decided to have English breakfast one with fried egg and another one with poached eggs. It comes with bacon, beans, hash browns , sausages, mushrooms and bread .

Also tried Arabic breakfast with Shakshouka , grilled halloumi, beetroot hummus and bread.

Finally ended with a classic French toast.

I loved the sauce glazed on top which made it look attractive and tasted great. To be honest I loved everything we tried except for the Shakshouka.

Definitely coming back again to try other dishes as well.

My wife and I visited this cafe for breakfast and lunch while staying at the hotel . I think it’s great to have the choice between the crescendo and the Revo cafe for breakfast . We both had the eggs royale and they were delicious . All the staff are very friendly and we will definitely return on our next visit to the Anantara

Nice place to relax, by day or night. Shisha Kaloud is a must. Parking is available and free in the street. You can have a coffee and cake inside and have a fresh drink outside. Food are healthy.

I always come here to indulge in the most satisfying dark chocolate tart ever made in the world!
This dark chocolate is ganache and the addition of fruits just adds on to the taste.
The white chocolate isn't my favorite and can be removed from the tart
Great Shesha place. Usually i feel downer with the shesha but here it was pretty smooth. In this winter, outside sitting is very pleasant as well. Karak tea is authentic. Also chicken shawarma is good but had cabbage in it.

Although the views are nice, the staff and service ruined everything. The cafe was not busy at all and I was received by a frustrated waiter who hardly helped me with the limited menu they have. They do not accomodate to allergies so the only thing I could have was the breakfast and since I don’t eat meat I asked to replace it with salmon and they wanted to charge extra. The coffee was below average. I had to ask three waiters for my bill. I don’t recommend this place.

The ambience is beachy and the views are spectacular. I visited for a late breakfast. Since its on the palm, the feel is excellent. The food tasted good but the choice was limited. Service was slow and mismanaged. I do not recommend a visit.

I visited them today , I took my seat , none of any of the staff show his face, I waited for 15 minute, nobody came to take my order. I got up to the reception and I made my order “ Latte & Cooke “ they brought the latte and I waited for the Cooke not served. I left the coffee and the place . I told the receptionist do I need to get up and request each item from you. Then I went to another Cafe who welcome me from the door with big smiles & quick service , where they attempt my appetite not for a coffe only, I had my breakfast also happily. Look to the difference Revo. You need to train your staff more.

Polite, friendly, food is good with a number of options. BUT THE SERVICE IS THE SLOWEST I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN DUBAI. I have been coming here regularly for the past 8 months as I work close by. They cannot seem to be improve. Very disappointing.

Was here to meet a friend and also grab a coffee. The place is really nice, decent views and good warm interiors. They have an outdoor area beat suited for the cooler months.

Strangely the cappuccino i ordered came at some boiling temperature killing the coffee. I would rate it as a pretty poor coffee. I couldnt get my head around how you can get a cappuccino wrong.

The other element i found was that the service was very slow and considering that the Cafe wasn’t very busy, it was difficult to get the attention of the staff.

A very comfy and cosy Place to have your coffee, tea, dessert, food with the mesmerising view of Burj Al Arab.
The hot chocolate is amazing.
They do have indoor and outdoor seating.
We preferred to sit outside with the view.
Best time to visit is in Winters and enjoy your drinks.

was staying at Anantara for the weekend with my sisters, read a lot of positive reviews about this cafe so thought i’d check it out.

Ordered;
philly cheese steak sandwich
crispy chicken brioche sandwich

Both came with average tasting mini salad and extremely oily potatoes.
on the other hand, the sandwiches were delicious, extremely fulfilling and flavourful. The bread was soft , the sauce was dripping, the meat was succulent.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Service was great as well, waiters were very helpful, attentive and knew the dishes well.

The atmosphere is very cosy, quiet, but the place is a bit too dark and the first table we sat on was not cleaned properly.

I had the Philly Cheesesteak which was by far the best Cheesesteak I've ever had. Your cheesecake is out of this world! Beautiful view and great music. Kudus to whomever is running this place xx

We’re not exactly early risers but love to get up early once in a while to indulge in a hearty breakfast. It is one meal during the day where you can eat guilt free coz you know the body is working in overdrive that early. As they say, breakfast calories don’t count 😛. Whenever we have friends and family visiting us in Dubai, a drive along the Palm Jumeirah is a must which resulted us in spotting Revo Cafe located in Anantara Resort on the outer crescent. We decided to hit them up for brekkie; we thought it would be good but it was even better ya’ll.

Came here today for their coffee and cake and it was all worth it. Ordered their cafe latte and carrot cake and it was a great combo. The carrot cake slice was huge and it was just perfect, not too sweet. They have a good variety/display of cakes from chocolate, cheesecake, tiramisu, etc. Will definitely come back again and perhaps try their breakfast and mains next time. The place is really nice, great decor with great views of the Palm. Bonus - there's valet parking as its inside Anantara The Palm. Really very easy to go to. Must try!
Sahil Banga
It's a piece of urban industrial chic within the confines of luxury. One wouldn't expect this kind of casual cafe in Anantara, and this works! Since it has dropped the baggage of excesses and luxury, Revo exudes a different charm. It's your go to cafe when tired after work, a quiet place for working on laptops in the noon, a lovely place for breakfast on weekends, and a perfect place to have coffee over a sundowner.
Service levels are great, with the staff being extra caring and helpful.
Food is good, loved the pumpkin soup, veg pesto sandwich, prawns spaghetti, coffee, massive cakes and decadent fries.
Views are great, of the sea.
Overall an economical option to have a casual meal in this pricey neighbourhood.
Great coffee and views. Love the ongoing coffee n cake promo (my kids loved their hot chocolate n cake combo). Our server Bo Bo was lovely too. Will definitely be back.
Eating My Way Around
Good coffee, fresh and healthy breakfast, fast and friendly service at an ok price, couldn't ask for much more. Only downer is the location on the far side of the Palm.

We ordered for a Chicken Caesar Salad it took them almost an hour to serve the meal. :) Don't know the reason as they barely have any guests dining in. When we came to the waitress and asked why, she gave us a cold response, "because it's a first come, first serve basis". Wow :)

REVO CAFE: RAVE IN PEACE

What we had: Mushroom Soup, Lamb shank, Angus beef pie, Vegetable Curry, Pulled Beef Sandwich, Crispy Chicken Brioche, Tiramisu

Palm Jumeirah's best kept secret will literally have you exploring the island's ends to find this place. But it's worth it. The food is delicious, with friendly service. The vegetable curry stood out unexpectedly and they happily served the biggest slice of tiramisu on the shelf. While the place still retains the spirit of a cafe, it aspires to be much more, finding its balance between creative and luxury.

8 BALL VERDICT: MOST DEFINITELY
