Sulayman offered us excellent service. He always had a permanent smile on his face, even though there were just two waiters serving the entire restaurant on a busy night! Well done!

I went last Saturday to Stoke House located at the Trump International Golf Club located at Daman Hills to try their Saturday Roast. The Saturday Roast is every Saturday from 12pm and is priced at Dhs 115 for adults, Dhs 105 for members and Dhs 65 for kids with soft drinks for the kids and a bottle of grape for the adults.

A great place to enjoy your afternoon lunch on a great view ln the trump international golf club fields. The food was great . We had 2 burgers which were great however it would not be in top 10 in Dubai . Great place to have few pints as well in the bar section with happy hours and sporting events telvised live

The Katsu curry was great. We ordered chips instead of rice which was no issue for the club to sort. Great quality and service on the food. The new addition of Asahi is a nice touch on the drinks side.
Great atmosphere, ambience and and F&B. The staff are great and a big shout out to Prince and Fazan! Thanks

I was at the stoke house for a lunch the food was amazing butter chicken n fish/ chips. Thanks You so much Charles and Puspa for taking care of us. We will be back again

Amazing place best food,chef was great he personally come ask what we like.good choice of food and drink ,bar team were friendly.highly recommend for sitting outside drink and Shisha.Thanks for accommodating our group.

The new Stoke House set-up is a cracking little venue at the Trump International Golf Course. The old bar was far too snug, the new bar has a pool table, big screen for live sports and a fantastic new menu. Most nights they have a promotion of some kind and when the weather is a little bit cooler they have shisha out on the terrace. Well done guys keep up the good work. The members love it!

IG: @eatgosee. Stoke House is a beautifully positioned restaurant facing the golf course in DAMAC hills GOLF CLUB. The location is beautifully designed for outside eating which means that it’s best during the cooler Dubai winter months. Overall the design is quite simple and modern with clean lines and the arc of the clubhouse curves round to give a near 360 view of the well manicured grounds.

There is a lot to review about this place from the well-stocked bar, capable service and much needed an updated menu from the people that bring you folly and Reform.

Highlights:
-the grilled octopus starter is one of the best I have had in Dubai. It is a more generous portion of grilled octopus sitting in olive oil and generous punchy hits of fresh garlic. If you like southern Mediterranean food - and especially the seafood - then you will really like this dish. If you have not had octopus before, this is a very good place to start; it is not rubbery and the garlicky olive oil marinade really brightens the dish overall. It is a small piece of Portugal in Dubai.

-The lentil and goats cheese salad is a very generous starter. In fact calling it a starter is misleading to say the least! This is easily a dish for 2 to 3 people to share as a starter. The earthy lentils give substance to the dish but this is lifted by balsamic vinegar, creamy goats cheese and a light salad of rocket leaves and kale folded into the mix resulting in a dish with texture and a very south of France puy lentil classic salad.

Low lights:
-the tuna tartare is misconceived and poorly executed. A tuna tartare should celebrate the quality of the raw tuna ingredients and let that speak for itself while being accentuated by other ingredients that do not distract from the core proposition of eating raw tuna. This is entirely lost in this dish. The tuna tartare here is folded with a heavy cloy mixture resulting in more of a tuna salad; if you were not told that it was raw tuna I doubt that you be able to know. Oddly, it also comes with three batons of garlic bread which simply doesn’t work. The garlic bread completely overwhelms what should be the subtle tuna flavour resulting in a confused dish. My feeling is that they wanted to reinterpret a tuna tartare with melba toast. I applaud the initiative to innovate but this falls short of victory. If they want to accompany tuna tartare with a crisp bread or something of substance to make it a more filling starter then they should continue on this journey but abandon the concept of garlic bread for the reasons given.

-The avocado toast is okay. I appreciate the ripeness of the avocado, the crunch and earthiness released from the pumpkin seeds as well as the light leafy salad on the top to make this a more complete dish, however, given how well the kitchen can execute other dishes I would hope that they can add something special here to really take it from good to great. For example, they could crumble feta cheese for saltiness, balsamic glaze for tang and richness or another dimension as avocado toast is ubiquitous so what makes this execution special? Lastly, it is definitely underseasoned.

I would come back. It is a great location for families, couples, happy hour drinks and maybe business lunches. It is fully licensed and at the time of this review they were focusing on special gin-based cocktails.

The lowlights are named as such because some of the dishes seem a bit confused but also other dishes simply just look weaker in comparison to other items on the menu which tells me that the kitchen can execute things well and should move to that standard throughout.
