When it comes to having authentic Arabic food, Aroos Damascus has been my all time favourite. We went there few days back for dinner and I must say it was a great experience.
This place is a hidden gem. Located in Deira, it can be easily located. There is ample seating inside as well as outside. They have a variety of dishes available and vegetarians and non vegetarians can equally enjoy the dishes.
I must say the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We had a great time here and would love to visit this place soon again. The food is decently priced. We tried a lot of their vegetarian fare and were highly satisfied by the food quality and the taste.
There cannot be any better place to have Arabic food than Aroos Damascus. We love coming back to this restaurant infact we can eat food here all day. The taste and consistency of the restaurant is simply superb. I love the working culture of staff as they handle such big crowd each day and still able to deliver in the best way. You can see overall rating of the restaurant is outstanding. It is because they are so consistent in their taste and word of mouth for this restaurant is very strong unlike any other restaurant that I know of. They simply keep the basics right. We ordered falafel, hummus, garlic paste, hot potatoes, water melon juice, pineapple juice, lentil soup and a kunafa at the end.

We love damascus. We go there for dining a lot . All the things that i tried were amazing. Arayes , shawarma platter, hummus, everything is so flavorful and delicious. 10/10 for me
You just can't go wrong with this restaurant. It serves the best Middle Eastern food in Dubai. It's old, it's busy, and is very famous among old Dubaian, all for the right reasons.
From their appetizers, to grilled food, to fattah, everything about their food is amazing. It's fresh, quick and cheap.
They even serve breakfast in the early hours so don't skip that as well.

We visited for a brunch last week and it was fabulous experience all together starting from food quality & portions right till the courteous staff.
Special mention to the Manager Mr.Rami who was very caring and one of the rare English speaking staff among the others.
They have huge outdoor and indoor dining area typically designed with gray & black combined tiles on the wall with nice chandeliers hanging over the roof with a giant LED screen that displaying making of mouthwatering food will surely make you hungry.
We ordered their signature dish which is Falafel (5/5) ,Eight pieces super crispy and crunchy falafel with a special spiced card surely win your heart

Then came some freshly baked pita bread (4.5/5) to eat with Hummus Beiruti (5/5). We added olive oil which made it heavenly.
Chicken grill (4.5/5) was a show stopper for sure, such well marinated and juicy grills, presented very nicely with additional garlic crèam & spicy chilli cream. A must try item beside chicken liver fries.
An Arabic huge salads (4/5) looks like a flower bouquet was full of fresh veggies will make you full.
Last but not the least Special Cheese Kunaffa (5/5) was best choice to end Aroos Damascus story. It was full of cheese inside, with cherry and cream toppings with chocolate sauce. Low sweet in taste, additional sugar syrup can be added for non-diabetic foodies.
Highly recommended for those who will try Lebanese/ Mediterranean food for the first time and every time.

Very fond memories with this place.. first place my family took me for dinner when I came to Dubai 14 years back. I always feel special connection to this place.. and they have never disappointed us.. from huge seating space outside and inside to good service, fresh leaves and veggies and very good quality and portions of food.. I have always enjoyed their falafel, hummus and labneh.. and yes a basket of Khubus too.. which staff makes sure is always full.. weekends can be busy specially evenings.. being vegetarian I have limited options there, still we love their presentation and go quite often. Whatever one says about this place is not enough. It has a very special place for me. I’ve been here numerous times over the past 20 years, as a bachelor, with my wife and then with kids. Have come here with friends and colleagues too. You can dine indoors or outdoors. Honestly, whatever you order will be outstanding. I love the hummus, fattoush, falafel, shish tawook and grilled prawns. Have it along with the garlic paste and Harissa. Finish off your meal with a Sulaimani tea.

Have ordered so many times from Aroos but never ever have I been disappointed. I love consistency in a place and this restaurant absolutely lives upto it. I love their hummus Beirut, that’s one of my favs. All their items are pretty great. However I wish they were a little cheaper so I could order more frequently.

I’ve been going to this place for about 6 years now, and our regulars are always their falafel sandwiches. We are quite a picky flock and have customized them to our suits, and the staff seem to be courteous as always. I have a sweet spot for this place and you will surely not be disappointed with their food here. The falafel sandwiches here are your top choice for a hearty and fulfilling experience. We’ve also got really got chicken kebabs from here!

We ordered humus beiruti, along with garlic and chilli sauce. Chilli sauce has a nice kick to it. They serve fresh pita bread with it (unlimited).
To end we ordered cheese kunefa and it too good to die for. Nice crispy texture, lots of flavour...

We had been to this place on a weekday evening at late. It was buzzing with people with lots of seating area both inside and outside the restaurant. We ordered for some shawarmas and falafels with hummus.
The shawarmas were great and they were not very spicy but probably one of the better shawarmas in town.
Falafel were nice and crispy with the waiters offering freshly baked pita bread to eat with the Hummus.
This place is also good for Grills and would definitely want to try that out the next time I visit here.
All in all it was a pretty good place to have some Lebanese cuisine and will definitely recommend everyone to try this place out.

Perfect place to eat your heart out. The non veg platter was perfectly cooked. Had it with the fresh warm bread that was served non stop, hummus, vegetable salad and pickles. It was fireworks of flavour in the mouth!
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful in suggesting options to eat.
I was in food heaven, so much so that all my attention was on the plate.
We ended our sumptuous dinner with Sulaimani tea (black tea and quite sweet) a picture of which I managed to click 😀

We ordered Fatteh with Ghee, fava beans in olive oil, mussabaha, falafel and hummus beirut .. it was so delicious. All was yummy, the food is delivered fast and neat. Best surprise was the plate of vegetable coming with the order where all the Lebanese restaurant does not deliver such plates.

We ordered the mixed grill by the kilo and it was amazing. The store was very kind to deliver a very big order to a park instead of a residency and we were very happy when it arrived quick and hot. In the mood for a picnic without the hassle of bbq yourself. Give them a call. Delicious, adults and kids enjoyed the food.

It’s our first time to try here at Aroos and it did not disappoint. They serve unlimited , freshly baked , complimentary bread . Vegetables were fresh . Hummus was so tasty . Chicken shawarma is amazing as well as their Grilled chicken.
We tried Mixed grill as well. I can tell you it’s yummy with my dad’s look on his face even though I did not taste the lamb, chicken tikka was amazing .

A hidden gem for Authentic Arabic food. Menu is pretty varied. Everytime dined here have been Hapoy with their Corteous staffs and Food has never changed taste. Every visit taste gets keeping get better. Another bonus is the quantity yet it will not hurt the budget. A huge family gathering over Hoid Arabic food is a must here. Their smoothies are flavorful, thirst quenched and Fresh.
What an absolute bliss. The staff was very courteous and cheerful which always such a positive start.
The lamb kebab's and mutton tikka's were cooked to perfection. The chilli dip on the sides is a speciality of this place so be sure to call for that. Money's worth and definitely worth a second visit.

Fatteh Chicken (Hummos/Yougurt) – Fatteh Chicken with Hummos was the Best Labanese dish, chicken cooked with creamy hummos mixed with roasted cashews & nuts, enough to share among 2 people. Definitely a must try item. (5/5)
Mixed Grill – 42 AED/- All grilled meats were cooked to perfection, juicy & soft. (4/5)
Shawarma Meat – 7 AED/- Meat Shawarmas were smaller than usual shawarmas with no salad. (2/5)
Ambience-
Restaurant has huge indoor seatings on 2 floors, including separate area for Buffet and families. There’s also a large area reserved for outdoor seating, decorated with bright lightings and greenery. (5/5)
I am staying at the Radisson Blu at Deira but decided to order some hummus and Shawarma. The best place (and coincidentally the closest) was Aroos Damascus. They gave hot and fresh pita bread (4) for 1 plate of Hummus Beiruti which was a garlicky'er and spicier version of the classic hummus and 2x chicken shawarma. The shawarmas were fresh but I'm used to Mayo and garlic sauce on my shawarmas in India. The meat was cooked well and despite a 10 minute delivery time, the crust was crunchy! The salad was fresh and had the crunch in every bite. I am glad I chose to order in, than calling for room service. Delivery guy called me on my India number to let me know he was at the reception with my stuff. Fantastic experience.

Aroos Damascus is a nostalgic place for me and my husband, having grown up in Dubai in the 90's. This was always the restaurant of choice when heading out for Syrian/Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant is always packed, especially on the weekends. Seating is available both indoors and out, which is great these days, considering the weather is so pleasant outdoors. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. We visited on a very busy Friday evening, and were amazed at how we were done with dinner in an hour.
Parking might be a challenge as limited parking is available around the area. They do offer valet parking at AED10 per hour.
We ordered the following:
*Chicken Shawarma - nothing extra ordinary, just right. We like ours with extra Tahina sauce, practically dripping and I suggest you try it next time.
*Hot Potatoes - they make the best hot potatoes in town. Basically baked potato wedges tossed in spices and olive oil.
*Fattah with Meat Shawarma - Served in a clay pot, it is a gooey mix of stale pita bread, yogurt, chick peas and topped with shawarma meat. Not the best I've had, but good for these winter evenings.
*Arayes - these were grilled and crisp to perfection. The minced meat filling was good. They tasted delicious with hummus and garlic sauce.
*Mix Grill - consisted of pieces of chicken, meat, kababs and wings - Depending on the number of people on your table, you can customize the platter size. The meat was well marinated and juicy. The kababs were soft and flavorful.
They serve unlimited refills of hot out-of-the-oven arabic bread. Hummus and other accompaniments have to be ordered on the side and are not served with the grills. The prices are fairly reasonable, the servings are large and the food is great.
Highly recommend that you try out this place.
Great Place for Family Sit Out, Good for its Price and needless to say Amazing food. Best enjoyed in cold and pleasant weather. My favorite picks - Mixed Grill, Chicken Charcoal, Hummous Beiruti, Cheese Zatar Pastry and Fatayer. End with a delicious Sulaimani.

Complimentary freshly baked Arabic breads refilled continuously, the salad ingredients were served as a whole making it tasty difficult to eat, the olives and pickles bowl were a nice touch.
Ordered:
1. Garlic Paste: tasted nice, can be shared between 3-4 people.
2. Hummus: creamy, tasted OK too, can be shared between 3-4 people
3. Falafel: excellent! Good quantity to share with a large group, donut shaped, crispy outer with tender inside, served along with a yoghurt dip.
4. Chicken Shawarma: good portion size for 1, tasted good
5. Lamb Chops: each piece was tad too small for a chop, not enough meat, not worth it
6. Charcoal Chicken (half): served with fries, tasted good. Can be shared easily between 2 people.
Overall, you get what you paid for, consistent taste.

This is one exceptional Arabic food restaurant. When I used to come dubai on visit I used to always visit it late night and enjoy the food. Best part is their hot khaboos n outdoor sitting. Also the chili garlic paste is amazing and hummus with meat is die for. The most amazing dish is grilled humour. Its cost is less as compared to others and u get 3 fillets. It's a lot for one person trust me. And in sweets their kunafa is too good. Great service whether its delivery or dine in. Recommend this restaurant to everyone .
