Ramadan iftar, The food is nice, and well cooked. The desserts needed more variety... The thing is, for this price your expectations are really high, but I saw no difference between this iftar buffet and the ones that cost 35% less, I wasn't disappointed but you still can't help it but to comapre. The food deserves 4 but the value for money and in many other nearby hotels the staff make you feel more welcomed and are more attentive, made the overall rating for the overall experience for me not more than 3.

Read lots of reviews of how nice the food was at this restaurant so decide with another family to book and visit for Iftar.<br/><br/>So glad I did as it was hands down one of the nicest iftar buffet I have been to. Lots of different dishes to chose from for a change that all tasted so delicious. <br/><br/>Everyone in our party couldn’t stop commenting how lovely everything was. So thank you, definitely the best iftar I’ve been to this Ramadan, and I’ve been to about 5!

Went for their iftar buffet , I felt that most of their dishes are catered for Arabic cuisine , although they say it's an international cuisine . The quality of the food was great and service was brilliant as well but I expected more given that it's a 5 star hotel . Even the desserts was good but was lacking some stuff that you would expect to see . Overall I've given it a 4 because as mentioned the service was world class and food was not bad.

Very nice , 5 star experience. The entry way into the restaurant is through a flight of blue lit ambiance lights. We were given a very warm welcome by Mr Mollah, and ushered to our seats. He was very friendly and gave us alot of insight to the menu and the amazing deals that they have on a weekly basis. He was very hospitable and cheerful throughout our entire meal.<br/><br/>The wine bottle we selected was Australian, Savignon Blanc by Hardy's -The Riddle.<br/><br/>It had a nice tropical fruit cum citrus essence with 12.5% alcohol.<br/><br/>For dinner we ordered a Rib Eye Steak ( Medium ) and a Sirloin Steak ( Medium ), both of which were grilled to perfection, it was filled with delicious juices and flavors, accompanied by thickly cut potato fries, a perfectly grilled garlic pod ( which tasted surprisingly delicious as well ), tomato cherry and a special Bearnaise sauce (egg and mayo blended together )<br/><br/>The dinner was sumptuous and filling. Next came the dessert, we ordered a Tiramisu and a Panacota. Kudos to the Chef here for the presentation and art work displayed down to the tiniest bit. I rarely go for buffets in the morning as I don’t feel they are worth the money and sure enough, Cavendish proved me right. At 125dhs a person, I was expecting a lot more then what I had. The type of food served at Cavendish can easily be had at a 4 star hotel half it’s price. Granted, some 4 stars hotels are actually 5 stars in disguise so they can very well and most likely will provide a better buffet than they one I experienced at Cavendish.

I organised my son's b'day party at Cavendish Restaurant on 21st Sep 2018. It was an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and cooperative especially Mr.Mollah who overlooked everything from start till end. Also the food was exceptional. Thanks to the chef who readily accepted thr changes in menu as we requested. Happy host and happy guests.

I have had dinner here twice. And I was not happy with the taste and quality and quantity of the food. Their buffet wasn’t something that you crave to go again. But the staff are nice and warm and helpful.

I went today for iftar. This is the second time to go there. The place is nice and cozy. The buffet had nice variety of food. <br/>The salads weren’t that much but there was much variety in the hot dishes and they tasted very nice too.<br/>The sweets section was also nice. <br/>Definitely recommend to go there

Very nice buffet, especially for iftar. It has such an intimate and cozy setting. It’s decorated beautifully. The service is amazing and everyone is so helpful and welcoming. There were lots of food choices and most of the things I tried were delicious and flavorful. The dessert wasn’t a big win for me because it was most chocolate desserts. I would have like to see more variations. Maybe more fruit and caramel desserts.

Went here for a friends birthday quite some time back. The place has valet parking else it has spinneys free parking right in front of it. The staff ranging from the service to the reception everyone was really helpful since I had lost my car keys and they left no stone unturned in helping me find it. <br/>The setting is nice, the restaurant is located downstairs. Coming to the food there was a live shawarma station, live manakeesh, grills which kept getting over and there was quite a bit of waiting time before it got restocked, salads, cold mezze, limited hot mezze which again took a lot of time to get refilled, and lots and lots of potatoes. The food was good no doubt but nothing that particularly stood out. It was a good deal since we had gotten the cobone/groupon voucher (I don’t remember) else I do believe there are a lot of competitors in the market that serve better food and variety at that price

We were in JLT during lunchtime and browsed through the Entertainer and Zomato for a formidable match. We zeroed in on The Cavendish at the Bonnington, which was nearby to where we were.<br/><br/>We were the only ones at the restaurant and were promptly seated next to the high windows. We ordered the Wagyu burger and fish & chips and asked for sweet potato fries with both.<br/><br/>The burger was a mammoth. It was as tall as the Eiffel Tower. With a thick patty, fresh greens and gooey cheddar cheese, it was a winner by all means.<br/><br/>The fish and chips was supposedly in ginger ale batter but I couldn't tell any difference. Nothing extraordinary but decent.<br/><br/>We were served by a couple of staff who were very courteous.<br/><br/>We would definitely return to try the rest of the items on the menu.

The food here looks and taste Michelin star! The restaurant is bright, clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with a #smartcasual dress code.

The location of this restaurant is in a very lavish hotel therefore we had high expectations. The entrance is also quite elegant as you are led through a 'secret' stairway into an even more sophisticated setting, everything about this place screams extravagant. <br/>They have a substantial selection of salads, main courses, soups and desserts. The salads, excluding traditional Arabic ones, are very unique and made with top quality ingredients. One of the main courses I took rounds of was their lamb ouzi. It was simply delightful. The only live station of shawarma was a nice addition but wish they had more stations.<br/>The desserts were pleasing to the eye and were vast in variety that I couldn't manage to try them all as I was hooked on their amazing kunafa. <br/>It was a great experience overall and I would highly recommend it especially because of the ease of parking. The Cavendish is the Bonnington JLT’s all day dining restaurant. It’s where hotel guests start their day with breakfast. I’ve had both breakfast and lunch here and have left happily stuffed on both occasions. Both have been buffets, both reasonable by Dubai standards. The cuisine served is a hodgepodge of East meets West, their interpretation of international with a Middle Eastern twist. I was invited for the ifthar preview to cavendish @located at the bonnington hotel,JLT.I was quite impressed with the spread they served for the preview and that's gonna be the exact menu for the ifthar.The spread was very descent.They served varieties of middle eastern and european dishes in the buffet.They have a table for drinks with 4 kinds of middle eastern drinks.Everything was delicious.They also have counters for soups,salads,grills and maincourses.Their dessert spread is huge as well.I thoroughly enjoyed the food.My favorites were the lamb chops,ouzi and the chicken biriyani.Everything tasted delicious.<br/><br/>I have tried ifthar buffet from many hotels in the city.<br/>But the ifthar buffet at the cavendish impressed me big time.Eventhough the spread is not sooo huge each dish they served stood out.If you are someone who loves to try out ifthar buffet like me this place is definitely a must visit.I bet u won't regret.<br/><br/>Ifthar buffet cost AED 159.If you book between now until may 25th you will get a discount worth 25%.Do check it out foodies!!

Lovely place , went there for a bday party n the arrangements were fantastic.Dinner was a buffet spread , an interesting mix of indian n arabic n international.dishes ...noteworthy a delicious artichoke salad and shahi paneer was absolutely amazing..will visit again soon to try more of their menu

Went there for a small Date and we were not disappointed...Drinks and Food were good.. In fact Staff members were really friendly and helpful.. they also suggested some drinks which were good for sore throat that they made specially for us.. ambiance and cleanliness was nicely maintained...

Excellent signature dishes that leaves a mark in your palate.<br/><br/>From  the Crispy Vegetable cuts and bruschetta  starters up to their Wild Mushroom Risotto, I had no reason not to clean my plate. <br/><br/>Each dish has authentic taste and portion wise? It's abundant. Pretty to share but Yes! I had it all by myself.<br/>I love the Wild mushroom risotto which was recommended for Vegetarians.  I can tell why has been the favorite vegetarian meal, the flavor was so rich and a bit creamy with a crisp on the side brought by rocket leaves.  My friend had Spicy Penne Pasta with Margherita on the side. <br/><br/>The palate adventure ended with Soft Tiramisu with raspberries and mint. Truly rich in real taste and perfectly presented!<br/><br/>The server was really nice and keen to ask my preference. We enjoyed the soft music on the background and the touch of marbles and glasses made the place really classically indulging!

In my desire to have a decent eid brunch which doesn't have to offer a lavish buffet selection, my friend and I decided to go for a cheaper offer and opted Cavendish in Bonnington up by Jumeirah Lake Towers. However, for what I thought would have been a less filling afternoon, I ended up completely satisfied and in fact burping and bloating.<br/><br/>The selection of food at the buffet are really good. They may have less varieties at the buffet but they are made perfect to my liking. Salad options are fresh, meat options will keep you coming back for more-roast beef, lamb chops, shish taouk, lamb kebab. The ouzi is seriously scrumptious and i had to control myself from eating so much of it's savory rice. The only downfall is that there is not so much of vegetable or seafood dishes for mains. The dessert section was arranged creatively with mini cakes, arabic sweet, fruits & chocolate fountain. I love how the umm ali was made as it is not soggy like how others prepares it.<br/> <br/>Staff are all friendly and even the manager is hands on assisting the guests. The restaurant is located at the lower ground level of the hotel and there's an outside seating too. A big kids room was designed at one corner of the restaurant to cater to young guests. For AED 129, this is really a very good deal.

Went with my friends for Iftar yesterday - 19th June, 2016. At first it looked like a decent spread but the food was very average. Even the sharwarma is bad. It is more of bread than filling. Not worth the money they charge for Iftar. We reached there by 7.30 by then the specialty fish dish is over but they didn't bother refilling it. <br/><br/>Overall not a very satisfying feeling !!

I was invited at The Cavendish at the Bonnington Hotel in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Cluster J to try their new Italian Menu: Taste of Italy. It is the perfect venue for a romantic dinner. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly Operation Manager Mrs. Annabelle Thiebaut. I asked her to recommend me a main course and I thank her for her great choice.

When I walked into The Cavendish, exuding the charms of old-school grandeur (white starched linen, immaculate tableware, a grand piano… the works!), I felt rather out of place. There I was in my ‘Boho meets Soccer Mummy’ getup, a breezy floral tunic paired with super-comfy slacks, when I really should have donned my pearls, red lippie and LBD.

We had a fantastic dinner in cavendish restaurant for newly launch Italian dinner menu the table decoration of the table setup and display of the wine was attractive . The food was great specially beef carpaccio as a starter and for the main is risotto recommend by Mr mollah with pairing with nice wine. The service was excellent with smile and positive attitude. we had a resevertion for social dinning dinner for 4.in cavendish terrace. the location is very nice with beautiful view of jlt. the food was excellent with live cooking staion. the selection of beverages are very awsume. specially the cocktail. the waiter are very smilly nd huge knowledge about food and drinks. the waiter mollah who made our night very very special. thanks mollah for ur outstanding service. great value of time nd money.

Located in the Jlt cluster J is The Cavendish restaurant. The place is perfect for a quiet romantic dinner or a business meet over excellent food and service. <br/>We were there for dinner and started off the night with wine and a ceasar salad along with a beef carpaccio this was followed by my perfect sirloin steak which came with fat fries, onion rings and garlic mushrooms paired with red wine. <br/>The steak was excellent and the mushrooms are to die for. <br/>Dessert was some excellent mango sorbet and tiramissu followed by coffee. <br/>Definitely recommend.

Glass windows from ceiling to floor and elegant table pieces, while the outdoors was a more fun vibe. Speakers playing good music and chit chat, we knew this is where we’d be settling in that night.<br/><br/>The buffet featured some cold cuts and salads, out of which some were good enough for a second helping. Also displayed was a live shawarma and barbecue counter. We ordered a Shawarma and Beef Burger, of which the latter had too much Tahini sauce for my liking. The burger buns were found quite dry too. Thankfully, we had a couple of mojitos to wash these down.<br/><br/>They serve sharing platters on the table with Pork or non Pork options as well. A Vegetarian platter can also be prepared upon request. We decided to order from their normal menu too, of which the Trio Pumpkin Tortellini and Crispy Confit Duck Leg looked promising. Recommended by our lovely server Jesse, who really took care of us by the way, was the Jumbo Prawn and Hanger Steak.<br/><br/>After a short wait, we were presented with a neatly arranged Pumpkin Tortellini. I was very impressed by the service, ambience, outdoor setting and the delicious Crispy Confit Duck leg, Jumbo prawns & hanger steak!! It was absolutely delicious!! I just want to go back to eat that meal again and again. It's really a nice place, perfect for romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. Thanks for Jessie for lovely evening, she made completely memorable our evening.

Have been to the cavendish many times. It is a very nice and quiet place for a business meeting. The staff is very pleasant and take care of you. <br/>The meal is a buffet with a very good mix of salad items. For mains it is a mix of Arabic, Indian with a pasta dish. And a very sizable dessert bar. <br/>Overall a decent meal and good place to have a conversation.

Good English breakfast. Lots of fruits and vegetable served fresh. <br/>Not such a great place for dinner , lacks variety and choices especially if you are not a pork eater.

Went for lunch with my colleague for lunch, they had a buffet lunch.<br/> The staff were alert, presentable and very courteous. <br/>The food was good, a wide variety and presented very nicely.<br/>Salads were very fresh, the main courses were a mixed variety and my fav was the dessert counter. It had a not too many and not too few desserts! <br/>We didn't pay so I don't know the cost of the lunch buffet buy def worth a visit. <br/>

Wow. We live very close by but it took us a whole year to choose to dine here. The newly constructed terrace was definitely a drawcard. We didn't have a reservation but were seated outside promptly. The service was attentive without being fussy. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and recommended a wonderful white. We were served a warm bread basket while we browsed the menu. It is a small menu and obviously changed often - a good sign. Everything looked delectable but we eventually settled on the goats cheese mousse and scallop & pork belly for starters, followed by the duck leg and duck spring rolls. The flavours in all the dishes were impressive, balanced and deliciously original. This is fine dining. Best of all, when the bill arrived we didn't feel like we had to sell our first born to pay for it. This is fine dining, very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning!

Since the addition of the terrace the place has become the al fresco dining destination, on this side of the town. <br/><br/>Surrounded by an elegant wooden fence, olive trees and a beautiful water feature in the centre makes you feel like you are being invited to an exquisite home dinner party. The bar at the entrance of the restaurant and the second bar outside on the terrace invite guests to socialize and to enjoy unique cocktails and mocktails after one sipped a couple of wonderful welcome drinks prepared by Venkadesh, the Bar Manager and his team.<br/><br/>Last Thursday’s event was called: Social Dining Thursday. The social dining concept starts at 7:30 pm and lasts until 11:00 pm. The concept is straight forward, yet unique: enjoy an exquisite time with friends and connect with others while enjoying sharing style platters, a wonderful BBQ and freshly grilled meat cuts, a huge salad buffet and delicious desserts served to the table, for only 299 AED per person. What a deal!<br/><br/>Good food, good friends, good times, is the Thursday nights’ concept slogan, and it is not hard to tell why, once you have been part of it.
