Having recently visited Thailand I can share that Sukhothai serves authentic food in an elegant atmosphere. The service provided by Anca and Nishit was excellent and above expectations. Upon our main course being served, Pavee the chief who is from Thailand came to check if the food was to our liking and a very nice touch! Easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Dubai and actually a wonderful dinning experience regardless of the cuisine. A new favorite and will be returning often, highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food and wonderful service! The red curry is unbeatable, especially with the sticky rice. They made me an iced coconut milk latte that was to die for. Will absolutely be back!

I want to commend the Filipino waiter who assisted us during our dinner. We ordered the tom yum soup, red curry lobster, black pepper-garlic lobster, grilled seafood, and vanilla ice cream. The food was excellent and we will surely come back again.

Food and service are excellent. Especially Tom Yung soup, it was hot, spicy, sour and tasty. The restaurant is inside Le Meridian Dubai Village.
I strongly recommend to try their appetizers, soups and rice.

Very authentic Thai food can be enjoyed here in Thai restaurant fairly near to the DXB airport. When you have craving for Thai food near the airport this is absolutely the best choice. Ordered a series of Thai traditional food such as Som Tum, Green Curry and Pad Thai ... but the mango with sticky rice was the best one!

Took my wife here for Valentines Day, and they said it was 169aed for each of us and we would get a set menu. I was a little reluctant because directly outside was the Meridien Village Terrace buffet was offering same price for their buffet and I know for a fact how awesome that buffet is. Anyway, the wife decided on the Thai food so we went in. Honestly, as far as taste is concerned there was no complaint at all, because it's probably the best Thai restaurant in UAE. The size of the portions was ridiculous, I left there hungrier than when I arrived. As we were leaving and I walked by the Meridien Village Terrace buffet, I was tempted to go inside. I even mentioned to the waiter that why are the portions so small and he mumbled something about it being a set menu. Anyway, I checked their menu and their prices are high, will not go back if all I'm going to get is a snack for 200aed.. sorry

We ordered the vegetarian set menu and were pleasantly surprised with the options and the quality. Out waiter Melvin even for us a second helping of our favorite main course . The coconut milk based dessert was awesome and unique . Overall a great place for veggie and vegan food!

The new menu at Sukhothai, Le Meridien Village gives you a true taste and experience of Thai cuisine and culture. If you’re a lover of Thai food, this sumptuous restaurant is for you. We started our meal with a delicious Papaya salad, flavourful prawn satay, crispy deep-fried prawns wrapped in glass noodles and a sweet dimsum stuffed with minced meat and peanuts. After binging on these delicious appetizers, we moved on to the pomelo salad and Tom yum soup. I mean how can you go to a Thai restaurant and skip their famous sour and spicy soup right?

The first time I was introduced to Thai Cuisine was at Sukhothai over 12 years ago and it was a pleasure to be back here for a meal. The weather at the moment only makes it better to enjoy the outdoor seating here. Dim lights, pleasant weather and great food, what more can one ask for on a date night at this lovely Thai restaurant. <br/><br/>We started our meal with a Chicken Tom Yum soup and the Sukhothai Delight (a starter platter) which had Crab Cakes, Chicken Satay, Fresh veg rolls and Papaya salad served with a sweet sauce, a peanut sauce and soy sauce. This a perfect platter if you want to try more than one starter as it has small portions of each giving you the opportunity to try more . A Thai meal isnt complete without the Tom Yum, its my all time favorite soup and these guys sure did a good job at it. <br/><br/>For the mains we called for the Steamed Seabass fillet with garlic, chilli, coriander and a spicy dressing. This one I remembered trying over a decade ago and loved it and just had to call for it again. Steamed seabass, perfected marinated and cooked, you cant miss this one when here. <br/><br/>From the mains we also called for a Crab Meat Fried Rice and Fried Prawns in tamarind sauce and enjoyed them too, I only wished the prawns were a bit smaller.<br/><br/>We ended the meal with our all time fav dessert, the Mango with sticky rice. This one was prefect in portion, taste and texture, simply melted in the mouth. I already cant wait to be back here.

A wonderful dinner destination any day of the year, the magic becomes thicker and the joy more tangible during the full moon festival of Loy Krathong – when the good folks in the Sukhothai kitchens put their skills together to represent their country and impress all visitors with a special limited-time menu to celebrate this marvelous cultural tradition.

I really liked this place. I went there for a solo dinner during my stay at Le Meridian, they really serve some good food and the staff takes care of you well & are helpful & courteous. <br/>Even though not a very big place, the interiors are very cosy and nice with a touch of Thai, they also have a Thai performer in intervals in the centre of the place which I really enjoyed watching with my food. <br/><br/>If you’re looking for really authentic Thai food this is worth trying. <br/><br/>Follow me on @krazykomkaptures

Absolutely love this place for good quality Thai food. Its never as crowded as it used to be but the food and service has always been high class. Their chicken satay, papaya salad and Thai curry are a staple. Good quality food! Keep it up!

Sukothai may not be a new restaurant among the latest favorites in Dubai ,but the food never fails to impress after all these years @sukhothai_ <br/>Perfectly spiced Tom Yum Goong, all time favorite Green Curry with vegetables , Prawn Red curry and Pad Thai Noodles ( which was my boy’s fav!).<br/>Ended our meal with two desserts which I did not enjoy really 🥴 -Baked coconut pudding and Fried banana with Ice Cream .<br/><br/>This cosy little restaurant is a perfect spot for a Romantic dinner or to catch up with family members who love #thaicuisine 😇

Have visited this place a couple of times and have always enjoyed everything we have ordered. All their dishes have been authentic and delicious... But this time when we visited we tried 2 dishes we hadn't previously, one was phanaeng goong, this dish was an art.... It was the best red curry with prawns I have ever had, even better than the ones I've had in Thailand! You can taste the different flavours at every level on your palette. It was sooooo good, I ended up having the gravy with a spoon after we finished the dish, just couldn't waste a drop....exceptional! We also tried the pla nueng manao, steamed sea bream, delicately flavored and had the tanginess and spiciness at the right level. As usual we ordered their signature desserts too.. The tab Tim grob, one of the best in Dubai and their sticky rice with mango is great too. RIAL who served us was very courteous and helpful. As always had a great dining experience and look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks to the chef again for the amazing dishes he prepared... We called him to our table to compliment him and he was so humble.... Bless him...

Had booked a table for my Son's 1st wedding anniversary. Knowing and visiting the<br/><br/>Le Meridien since over 30 years we choose the Thai outlet... which was the biggest disappointment I have experienced in my dining out.<br/><br/>The service firstly was VERY UNLIKE the class of a 5 star restaurant, a ordinary no star restaurant has much better service, the staff do not know as to what side should drinks/ food be served, what side should the plates be cleared.<br/><br/>We asked for the staff serving us to be changed and then the ROOF COLLAPSED, the new staff spilled a bottle of Soya sauce on my daughter in laws dress, her special occasion dress is completely RUINED.<br/><br/>The waiters goofed up with our drink orders, food was horrible the combo starter was awful crab meat was raw, the fish cake was stone crisp, the phad thai had a strange smell, which made the ladies run to the washroom to throw up. SUCH SERVICE AND FOOD BEING SERVED BY THE LEADING GROUP IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY IS A DISGRACE to the Marriott group of hotels.
Globetrot Mom
A good option for Thai, although a little far towards the airport. <br/>Good ambience with lovely service.<br/>In food: Liked their tangy Pomelo peanut and cashew salad. Being a vegetarian, we ordered Veggie Thai Green Curry, Sweet Potato and Pumpkin dumplings and Pad Thai Noodles. In a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 7yrs and 3yrs) where kids like Thai, this was enough. Dumplings were quite interesting and the Thai curry pretty flavourful too.

Ever since I visited Bangkok, I have always been fascinated with Thai Food. Been roaming the streets of Dubai searching for an authentic taste of Thailand Dishes. And look what I found!! Foods tastes exactly how I remembered it back in Thailand. Applause for Chef Neil for this wonderful dishes and for my special request of Sweet & Spicy Creamy Curry and to Mr. Melvin you are such a wonderful host! Thank you as well. Kudos to the team!

The autmosphere is real thai but the salad that i recived from my order had no thai flavour in them, waited for my order for over an hour and at the end i cancelled the main course cuz we were too bored waiting, i do not recommend the place although it is very famous, no thai staff and the salad did not reflect thai food at all, it was full of onion which i rarely find when i dine in thailand

Superb food and excellent service by Nishsheeth our waiter. <br/>Feels like you’re in Thailand with all the smile and bling. Don’t miss the green curry!

Went there with my wife for our wedding anniversary and had high expectations having heard many good things! The spring rolls were ok except they use a lot of white pepper in their vegetable mix which overpowered any taste we would have gotten from the vegetables! The papaya salad was nice however I would have liked to see them use more than one shrimp that they sliced in half to make it look like there were two! The pomelo salad was sweet and lovely but again, I would have liked to see more shredded chicken as I got one bite of chicken which was the same for my wife! The Penang chicken was all right and I felt like it could have used a little more flavor! I’ve had a lot better for a lot less so somewhat disappointing! The beef green curry was lovely and probably the nicest dish we had that evening but they could have been more generous with the beef for the price! The pad Thai was all right and again, not many pieces of shrimp to make this dish worthwhile! They also could have added more crushed peanuts so I have certainly had better pad Thai! The pineapple fried rice was tasty! The coconut pudding was terrible and I had one bite and returned it because it tasted like a bad scrambled egg! The mango sticky rice was lovely and made up for the terrible coconut pudding!

Love coming back to one of my fav #thai restaurants in town. Nestled in the lively courtyard of @lemeridiendubai, @sukothaidxb is a must visit for Asian food lovers. As we delved into the “pla sukothai”, we were mildly suprised with the culmination of flavours that arose from the whole fried hammour. It’s flesh slathered with a dollop of sweet chili sauce on one side and a Thai herb dressing on the other was impeccable. The clear winner was the sweet chili sauce with predominantly a tangy flavour with subtle hints of spice.

It was our second time to dine here in this restaurant. We were seated outdoor on our first visit. On our second visit, we decided to sit inside because of the super warm weather. <br/><br/>I know almost all of the staff since my husband and I are regulars to almost all of the restaurants in le meridian, garhoud. I may sound a little biased to my comments regarding the service because They have become all my friends, nevertheless I would try to be neutral.<br/><br/>Food. We have ordered a soup, grilled seafood platter and mango sticky rice to share. All was good. <br/><br/>Ambience. Oh oh oh! I was so happy we have dined indoor. The ambience was so great. They have a woman dancing a traditional thai dance. There are also figurines on the walls of the restaurant. This is so impressive. It looks like a fine dining environment for me.<br/><br/>Service. Always good, however i would have a small comment. Two different servers have suddenly removed the bottle of beer and the bowl of soup of my husband’s without asking his permission. He wouldn’t be upset if he was done with them. <br/><br/>Food- 4/5<br/>Ambience- 5/5<br/>Service- 4/5<br/>

Very disappointed. first the food took too long even though the address is at 5mn.<br/>The soup only had a couple of shrimps with the container almost at half. <br/>The pad Thai was noodles with 3 shrimps. the taste of lemon was strong compared to the soya sauce. I had to add my own.

So there is a Meridien village or something at the hotel where all restaurants are located. Found the Access to these restaurants a bit tricky. Coming to the thai restaurant, it gives u a very authentic atmosphere. Traditional Performances were on throughout the evening. Staff was friendly n greeted with a smile. The food was good all in all but a little too spicy. Ask for mild spicy even if u can handle chilli. Veg spring rolls were the best I have had here.

Located in Le Meredian hotel, this place offers an authentic Thai feel from the moment we step in. The wooden furniture and ambience transports one to Thailand. The live performance was so soothing and perfect as I intended to celebrate my birthday in a calm and quiet manner.<br/>We were served complimentary prawn crackers with 4 spicy sauces, I ordered the Sukhothai mocktail( so refreshing) , the Thai green curry( wish it could have been more creamy) and spicy cashew nut chicken.<br/>The service provided by Hazel was outstanding and in the end I was served complimentary coconut ice cream for my Birthday.<br/>Thank you Sukhothai team for making my birthday evening a lovely one!

This is one of the BEST Thai restaurant in Dubai and located at Le Meridian Airport road. Plenty of parking available just outside. Staff is so friendly and caring and will make you feel at home. Food is superb and amazingly yummy. Interiors are superbly done. Definitely a must to visit !!!

I love Thai food. Everything about this cuisine makes me so happy. And believe it or not, almost all the Thai restaurants I have been to are the most romantic ones in Dubai, which makes them just right for a date night. Thai food combines all my favorite ingredients in all my favorite dishes – from coconut milk and spicy chillies in curries, to lemon and peanut in Pad Thai and chicken skewers, and of course their tender coconut ice cream, which is always a winner. When I came across the Curry on and Sing(ha) Night at the much loved Sukhothai in Le Meridien, I immediately put on my date dress and tagged my arm candy along to the restaurant to dive into the curry love.

The atmosphere service and delicious food was all top class. We stumbled across this restaurant and we needed to eat quick and we were well catered for. You were able to eat inside or out, both beautifully decorated. We liked it so much we returned for a second meal and therefore ate in both settings. The staff were friendly and helpful. You wont be disappointed.

A very pleasant experience at Sukhothai, the staff welcomed us to their pleasantries of prawn crackers and a mix of their spicy sauces, (vinegar, chilli powder, chilli sauce, seafood sauce). We kept asking for more crackers as the more we dug in, the more flavors we experienced. The tom yum chicken soup was just brilliant. We ordered the flat chicken noodles for main course, but somehow it turned up to be very slimy to taste and upon requesting the staff, they immediately offered to change. The green curry beef was superb with some heavy quantity for 2. Enjoyed my dinner here and definitely recommending this to everyone who love Thai food.
Kaveri
Good Thai food at a decently overpriced rate. The ambience, the lighting and the English music that played throughout our dining experience. The exceptional service(quite a rare in Dubai) kept our hearts happy. Give it a try and we strongly recommend.

Every long-time resident of Dubai knows Le Meridien Village is a great place to go for drinks, food, and shisha in the Old Dubai. They have a whole variety of restaurants with various cuisines and Sukhothai serves some good Thai food!. Every Tuesday, Sukhothai turns into a Thai Street Food night serving some of the classics. Everything you can eat for AED 149!
Deepali Agarwalla (Grub_A_fare)
I made my way over to Sukothai yesterday to discover they have a Thai Street Food night every Tuesday. The restaurant is located in the Village area of Le Meridien Hotel and is a short walk from the Lobby if you opt for valet parking like us.<br/><br/>Located around the fountain, the place is absolutely pretty and hard to miss with bright coloured flags and tranquil Thai music playing in the background apart from which they even have a traditional Thai dance show to keep you entertained. The place is perfect for a meal after a business meeting or for a romantic night out. It seemed to be a top spot for birthday celebrations as well as we spotted atleast 3 this night (They do a fun bit when bringing out the cake ).<br/><br/>Cheerful and attentive servers ensure you have a pleasant meal and are ready to assist you with any need you might have. My friend accompanying me was vegetarian and the chef was happy to accommodate any dish request she might have apart from the regular menu however she was quite happy with what was on offer that night.<br/><br/>The Thai Market is only until the end of April and is priced at AED149 for food+beverages.<br/><br/>GET SET GOBBLE:<br/>~ APPETIZERS - They have different street food counters set up and we began with the SALADS first. The Chef can whip up a PAPAYA SALAD or CHICKEN & GLASS NOODLE salad up to your liking. Fair warning, we asked for it to be spicy and were given a fair share of Thai red chillies and mind you, those pack quite some heat! If you are a spice lover, you'll definitely enjoy it.<br/>We also grabbed some SPRING ROLLS along with PRAWN CRACKERS that serve as perfect accompaniments to drinks. In the corner you can find the Chef on a hot grill dishing out some yummy satay, my favourite being the chicken one. Pair these with the fresh peanut sauce or green chilli sauce and you have a winner on your hands. <br/><br/>~ MAINS - For the main course I suggest you head straight to the CURRY counter and don't look back. I promise you are going to fall in love with the first mouthful as the powerful flavours of the curry come through. Be it the green or the red, both were so impressive that it's hard to pick one over the other.<br/>We also got some PHAD THAI NOODLES made to order and though the vegetarian version was filled with colourful ingredients, I would pick the Chicken & Prawn one over it for its flavour.<br/><br/>~ DESSERT - The last kiosk we stopped by was the dessert section that had the option for fresh fruits like papaya, dragon fruit, etc. and a new dish that I got to try called Halo-halo that consisted of layered fruits combined with shaved ice and sugar syrup.

Follow me on Instagram for my journey through food, travel & beyond.... @anisha8188<br/><br/>I'm a regular at Le Meridien Airport Hotel. They have some really good restaurants, and some fantastic food. And not sure why we had not yet tried Sukhothai - and that's a mistake rectified.<br/><br/>I love Thai food. And the fare Sukhothai serves up, is as good and as authentic as what I've had in Thailand. For starters we ordered a Tom Yum Goong and mix of Chicken & Beef Satay; and for mains Chicken Panang Curry and stir fried Lamb Chops - everything so SO good! The flavours and spice levels were just right, leaving you wanting for more.<br/><br/>Oh and you HAVE TO try their ice cream, it's home made. We had the chocolate, and I can't tell how delicious it is.<br/><br/>Staff are really pleasant and friendly. The ambiance of the place feels like some street in Thailand.<br/><br/>It could be a little expensive in terms of price. We paid around AED 400+ for a soup, starter, 2 main courses, ice cream and half a bottle wine (including the use of Entertainer voucher)<br/><br/>However, totally loved dining here. And will surely return to fix my next Thai food craving.
Ishita Singh
The best part is that they have options for portions for every dish. You can order from 2-8 prices per dish as per your appetite. <br/>This gives you the leverage to try more dishes without wasting food. <br/>Being a vegetarian predominantly true the veg spring rolls, dimsums and chicken satay. <br/>All of them were great as starters, each dish served with different sauce adding varied taste for your tounge. <br/><br/>You can try local Thai beer chilled to perfection out of Singha and Chang ( not so common in Dubai). <br/>The Thai green curry is a must try. One portion is good for 2 people.

Nice thai restaurant located in Le meridien. The decor is nice and the food is sumptuous accompanied by courteous staff. They also have traditional thai dance performed at the dinner time.

Worst restaurant ever please do not order from them, I ordered green curry and half of it was oil, plus it tasted very horrible worst experience ever ! 😷👎👎👎👎👎<br/>

We had an amazing meal at Sukhothai, being a big group we ordered pretty much everything on the menu, and it was all amazing, This is a really authentic place, the chicken dumpling starter and chicken curry stand out as my favourites, and of course you HAVE to save room for the deep fried banana dessert!

Sukhothai is an authentic Thai restaurant located in Le Meridian. It creates a royal ambience through its authentic Thai design and dark wood interiors with the light instrumental music. The staff is very courteous and polite. We loved the entertainment by the Thai woman who performed the traditional Thai style dance. For starters we had the Prawn Crackers and their famous Tom Yum Soup. For main course we loved their Grilled Hamour. We also called for the Roasted Chicken and Tamarind sauce with salt pepper and Sticky Rice! Absolutely delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection. They have a huge collection of Wines. For dessert, we had their tender coconut ice cream which was very authentic! Fabulous food and luxurious ambience. <br/>But since it's located in Le Meridian Hotel, you really gotta navigate your way from the parking.

A guaranteed taste driven trip to Thailand and back!<br/><br/>Journey: <br/>Sukhothai is an authentic Thai restaurant located in Le Meridian. They’re well known in the local circuit for their fabulous food and luxurious ambience. We decided to have a go at their Iftar deal last evening and boy, were we pleased. A 4 course meal priced at a humble AED 129, this was surely worth it.<br/><br/>Ratings: 9 Golden Nuggets<br/><br/>Ambiance:<br/>The restaurant is located inside the Le Meridian hotel. So you have to really navigate your way from the parking and on your way there you’ll probably pass by all the other popular restaurants, till you actually get to Sukhothai. The restaurant’s design and decor is set deep in tones of dark polished wood work along with gorgeous carvings and patterns. Beautiful antique sculptures and paintings surround the tables that are placed in the centre of the restaurant. With light instrumental music, the smell of lemongrass and fresh wood wafting through the air we really felt the true Thai ambience setting in.

Went to Le Meridian's Sukothai on a weekday night and had the entire place to ourselves. The place was dimly lit and had an excellent atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind and efficient.<br/>We ordered the papaya salad and the chicken dumplings as starters. I wasn't a big fan of the dumplings as it had a very aplain & dull flavor and according to me it wasn't worth the 46 AED. <br/>For main course I highly recommend the chicken Kra Pao and the Green Curry! We finished off our meal with the 'Sang Kha Yaa Ma Phrao Phao' which is baked coconut custard in young coconut shell. I simply fell in love with this desert. Definitely a must try. <br/>According to me Sukothai is a little overpriced but I might come back simply for the coconut custard👅👅

Instagram : eatingwithn <br/><br/>On a calm weekday evening, this will be a chilled dinner for two with the romantic and calm vibes of a Thai spa. Located in Le Meridien, Sukhothai delivers authentic Thai flavors for Asian food lovers. We ordered a variety of that curries with lobster and prawns, Phad Thai noodles, and black pepper chicken. Portions are small, so I recommend you order several dishes to share. The fried rice with prawns was also good and had a distinct flavour. We ended our meal with the coconut Crème Brulee which is flamed in a coconut shell and will leave you craving for more. Overall the place was overpriced for the quantity, but if you’re looking for good food and an authentic atmosphere, then you have found the place.

Food was a little too salty, taste was authentic! 20% off NBD cards so that's a steal, would recommend the soft shell crab which is different from your average Thai cuisine.
Yvette Bushnell-Fowler
Thought we might visit this restaurant until I looked at the menu. Not one vegetarian appetizer & no vegetarian indicators next to any of the mains. No tofu? Clearly they don't care about us!

Sukhothai is a fine dining Thai restaurant located at the Le Meridien Hotel in Garhoud, near the airport. The restaurant offers some of the best authentic Thai cuisine in Dubai and the decor include wood, candles, bamboo plants, silk wall hangings and artifacts from Thailand. We visited the restaurant in time for the Songkran Festival. If you didn’t know, Songkran is Thailand’s most famous temple festival that celebrates the Thai new year. Traditionally, with three fun-filled days of water fights and the brightest colors in the streets of Thailand, it is the perfect way to embrace the culture.

Food Instagram: @forkingfoodiedxb / Personal Instagram: @xotina143<br/><br/>Review: I noticed that the Thai restaurants here are usually authentic, and the Sukhothai restaurant definitely was authentic as the head chef has a Thai background and is from Thailand. It was a pleasure for me to be able to dine in during their Thai new year celebration!<br/><br/>I loved how there were some live cooking stations outside the restaurant preparing papaya salads, this gave the feel and look of an authentic Thai place, as the papaya salad is a popular dish in Thailand.<br/><br/>The food here was so authentic, I know this because I am Cambodian, and our food is so similar to our neighbours which is Thailand and Vietnam. The flavours and seasoning was all there to make the Thai dishes so wonderful.<br/><br/>The chicken satay skewers were grilled properly and the meat was coming off the stick so easy, meaning it was cooked to perfection. The taste was juicy and the sauces that accompanied the chicken was a perfect fit.<br/><br/>Another highlight of the night was the pad Thai noodles and my coconut flavoured rice that the chef specially prepared for me. The pad Thai was so delicious, the sauces that was added to it was just so good. The noodles were great and this pad Thai was definitely my favourite so far in Dubai. The coconut rice is what I love to order and make when I'm at home as I dislike regular plain rice. So the coconut flavours just added that extra kick to it to make me enjoy it more.<br/><br/>The Thai beer - singha, just reminded me of the times I used to enjoy a cold Thai beer with my dad. There aren't many Cambodian beers being sold in Canada, so my dad and I turned to Thai ones. It was nice to be able to enjoy the wonderful Thai beer again as Dubai doesn't serve this everywhere.<br/><br/>Finally, I tried all of the desserts that was offered here, and you all know my favourite go to dessert is the sticky rice with mango, but unfortunately the one that was served here was not up to my standards. It was lacking a lot of the coconut milk sauce that I love so much, and the sticky rice was just dry. Only the mango fruit was good but that is sad, because the chef just cut the mango up and it was just the plain mango that I was enjoying instead of his dessert in general.<br/><br/>Rating: 4.5/5<br/><br/>Order: Songkran Festival, all you can eat with alcohol - 259DHS<br/><br/>Pricing: Good value for Thai food, especially when it is all you can eat!<br/><br/>Service: Outgoing and friendly staff members, and I loved how they were wearing the tradition Thai outfits.<br/><br/>Ambience: Beautiful restaurant located at the Le Meridien Hotel near the Dubai airport. The decor definitely has a Thai theme to it, and I loved the entertainment from a Thai woman who played the traditional Thai musical instrument which is a guitar, piano hybrid, and she also performed a traditional Thai style dance.

Follow me on instagram: HighExpecTASTEion<br/><br/> Sukhothai is the proud Thai restaurant that is operated by Le Meridien Dubai & Conference Center. The restaurant serves authentic cuisines and and flavours that you would come to expect if you have ever been to Thailand, or frequently visit Thai restaurants. What I particularly enjoyed about Sukhothai over the other Thai restaurants is that Sukhothai serves their dishes in such a way that the ingredients are served separate so you can feel free to mix it all together, or if you want to leave out a particular ingredient from your favourite dish, that is possible as well.

I always loved the line up of restaurants in le meridian. Something different and something that none of the fine dining hotels have today.<br/><br/>Sukothai as the name.suggests is a Thai restaurant amongst this line up of other restaurants. Situated at the back entrance of the le meridian, one can enter from either sides of the hotel. The front gives you valet parking though.<br/><br/>The restaurant has great decor. Very authentic and I always liked it. They have one locate dining room for families too. There is a lady who.plays the Thai instruments and entertains guests in the evening which is pretty authentic.<br/><br/>The food is fantastic and well priced. I loved their Tom yum and Tom kha ghai soup. The Thai red curry is great too. You will have to order rice seperately.<br/><br/>The problem is with the horrible service and the number of apologies you will get here. Even though the staff is cheerful and happy they are not at all attentive. They take time in taking orders. Serve late and also don't really come and ask for anything proactively. This is not a fine dining restaurant style. On complaints their manager tries to give some free desserts etc. Sorry but get the service right. I am stressing on this because even though the food was great the experience was bad. I have been to this restaurant a few times sincerely I won't go there again till the time I am invited.

Such a great place! Great atmosphere, great service and amazing food. We got the full VIP service! Definitely recommend, this restaurant is the best place to treat yourself, I really like every thing

This is a beautiful fine dine restaurant , located near the airport . The ambience is authentic, the staff is polite and helpful . The Tom yom soup was awesome , with authentic herbs and mushroom . Started with gai hor Bai toei - appetizer in chicken. Cho muang sai gai - flower shaped chicken dumpling .The Thai green curry is filled with rich flavours and spices of Asia , red curry was a bit sweet , but the portion were good . Jasmine rice and sticky rice is a good option with that . Their jasmine tea is commendable .<br/>@management - thanks for the hospitality ,I enjoyed my bday treat throughlly. Thanks

Kiee kardai nai yaaaar, I must say it's completely superb but you know there is always roam for improvement. If I talk about taste then it was nice but as far as decoration is concerned it was marvelous and if you will talk about service then yes they should increase the quality of service and try to improve the cleanliness of the ambience please please because I really want to come again.

This place is just cute <br/><br/>I like their pad Thai I like their curries especially the Penang <br/> The place is not overpriced and quite good I went twice and will go back

I came here with friends for a casual meal out and we had a good time. The ambience and service was good and food was too. For appetizers we ordered the chicken in pandan leaves & the deep fried prawn s wrapped in on lemongrass sticks- both were tender succulent and left a good after taste. The only complaint I had here was that the sauces were too spicy for my taste.<br/><br/>Next for mains, we ordered the vegetarian green curry, grilled fish and Penang curry. I must say, that this place serves one of the best best penang curries I've tasted. <br/><br/>Come here for a casual dinner and you will not be disappointed!

We went here for a friend's birthday, ordered beer, blue mountain cocktail, chicken dim sums, tom yum soups, sticky rice with mango, chicken satay and some flat noodles. The food was really tasty and we had a great meal. The interiors are also very good and will give you a good Thai feeling. They even sang the happy birthday song for my friend. We went in when it was not very crowded and at that time the service was really good. A good thai experience. Table reservation might be necessary.

I liked the decor and the interior of this restaurant. Gives you a very Thai experience once you enter this place. Food is nice and worth a compliment. The red curry is amazing.... But I have had better Pad Thai elsewhere in other Thai restaurants. The starter portion of the Sukhothai platter can be improved. I was wondering why my table was the only one that did not have a candle light, while the rest of the tables had it. Apparently, the restaurant did not take enough notice of the fact that I was there with my wife and this had to be taken care!<br/><br/>I had to ask for the Prawn crackers - that actually went unsolicited & complimentary to the other tables. Felt disconnected here. The team need to work on the service part here. I am sure Thai hospitality can take care of managing and improving on these minor details and aspects.<br/><br/>The cocktails were done well and I was glad they were kind enough to do it although the same wasn't from the menu. I was here on a Friday and learnt that their musician and dancer was off on this day. Therefore better to pick another day if you plan to be here.<br/><br/>Cheers,<br/>Anoopz<br/><br/>

Sukhothai is one of my all time favorite Thai restaurants in Dubai. Amongst one of Dubai’s early Thai fine-dining creations, this restaurant has created a royal ambience through its authentic Thai design and dark wood interiors.<br/><br/>In addition to the grand design and space, their food is what takes the experience to another level. Some of the most authentic and flavorful Thai food I have had in Dubai. They offer a great variety along with substantial vegetarian options. Everything on their menu tastes great but some of my favorites are Tom Yam soup, Green Curry, Stir-fried tofu with hot basil and fried rice. <br/><br/>The place offers a nice outdoor seating as well, which is great in good weather. As they are part of the Le Meridien village, which has several other restaurants, you can order from any of their other restaurants if someone in your group doesn’t fancy Thai ☺.<br/><br/>The staff at Sukhothai is very polite and courteous and the service is pretty good, could be improved, as they are a bit slow sometimes, especially while handling large parties. <br/><br/>They are a bit expensive but considering the experience they offer, I suppose it justifies the price.

A good Thai meal!<br/><br/>So this place with its interiors is perfect for a date night. The ambience is excellent, being lightly lit with candles all around. There is live music (of course Thai instrumental) relaxes one immediately. The servers are excellent, attentive and responsive. <br/><br/>We were served an amuse bouche which was something to do with banana, but it tasted so weird and it smelled definitely like fish. I rechecked with the servers who confirmed that it was vegetarian...but the palette cleanser definitely didn't leave a good taste in my mouth.<br/><br/>We ordered for the Vegetarian Thai salad as the starter which was excellent! The Thai green curry was very thin, I prefer the consistency to be a little more thicker. The veg fried rice were quite fresh and tasty.<br/>We ended the meal with my fav - sticky mango rice pudding which was excellent but the portion was literally enough for one.<br/><br/>One needs to remember that this place is not moderately priced, so you can't repeat this until special occasions.<br/><br/>I'm not really sure if I'd go back here, it's the weird smell in food that me being a vegetarian, didn't go well with me!

Went to Sukothai over the weekend and relished on some delicious Thai food. I particularly loved their chicken and prawn dim sums and the chicken in pandan leaves. Their thai green curry was cooked to perfection too. They have a good selection of wines too, a very long list though...can b overwhelming and spoils u for choice ✌

Sukhothai used to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Dubai. Last night however, I was left feeling sad to see the fall in quality of this place in terms of both quality of food and service.<br/><br/>I don't know what happened to the lovely Thai hostesses who'd shower us with hospitable smiles. All the men who served us were grumpy and curt. <br/><br/>For starters I had the sweet potato and coriander dumpling & oriental mushroom lemongrass soup. The soup was spicy and heavenly, I really enjoyed that. The dumplings on the other hand were a huge let down with their pasty dough and bland filling which we had to douse in chili sauce to be able to swallow.<br/><br/>Okay so for years I've run to sukho for the tofu and peppercorn dish they have. Yesterday when I ordered it and it was brought before me, I was shocked to see it looked completely different. Eating it confirmed my worst fears- they'd killed it ! It was probably one of the most depressing moments in my life as a foodie. I know chefs change, but serving a sweet sauce for a dish that has two red chilies in its spice icon on the menu is just not done. Please bring back my tofu dish!<br/><br/>The veg fried rice was also meh.<br/><br/>Basically I'm really grateful we had an Emirates platinum card while settling the bill as I can't imagine paying the exorbitant prices for sub-standard dishes. Buck-up Team Sukho, you can do way better.

We enjoyed the vegetarian food far more than the meat. The meat was served in a lovely sauce but unfortunately the actual meat pieces were rather flavourless and felt like they had been added as an afterthought. We also thought service was rather slow given that the restaurant wasn’t busy.

One of the best Thai restaurant in Dubai .this is my 3rd time visiting here .the food was authentic and amazing .the service was attentive the manager name chawalit will do any anything for you if you looking for real Thai cuisine look no other .

We wandered the vast property of Le Meridien looking for Sukhothai; apparently we parked on the far end of the hotel. When we found the restaurant, we were greeted and ushered into a beautifully designed Thai hideout. The staff gave us the menus and refreshing cold towels, which were quite welcome on this warm evening. We ordered our dishes, informed about the wait time for the chicken, had prawn crackers delivered, and our water poured for us. The minced beef with chili and basil arrived first. This is a pretty standard Thai meal we have ordered many times, and it would be included in the more delicious ones we have had in Dubai. We finished our first main and patiently awaited the arrival of our baby chicken dish. This was worth the wait! Very well cooked and full of fantastic flavors. Warm towels were brought to us after the meal and mints given to us on they way out the door. <br/><br/>My only comments, on what was overall a fantastic meal, is that the portion size of the jasmine rice is quite small. Also, if the staff does not leave the bottle of water on our table and insist to refill themselves, I don't want to have to flag down the staff every time I need a refill; they need to be on top of that. <br/><br/>Everything else was great with our dining experience and I think that Sukhothai is a fantastic value for money restaurant serving some great food at reasonable prices.

Good food great ambience and excellent team. Though only 3-4 of them but are energetic enough to take care of a house full. Love this place and will come again

Just enter Le meridian and you have so many options to dine in. After taking a stroll inside we decided to go Sukothai. Service was good and it was cooler outside. Good music was playing from the restaurant next door. Overall it was good experience with good yummy food and service.

Dining at Sukhothai awakened all my senses ❤️ my experience was overwhelming and enlightening. Entangled by the spices and the floral touch of each dish, left us swirling endlessly in a guessing game. We have ordered The tom yam goong nang soup along with goong phan ta khrai and as for the main course we ordered:<br/>Hor moek<br/>Thalay ruam yang <br/>Pla yang bai toei<br/>Phad thai goong sod the noodles<br/><br/>The service was outstanding and exclusive<br/><br/>I am so in love with this place 😍 i can go on writing about my experience but as they say "less is more"Julia Ghanem

Time for Thai.<br/>Traditional oaky interiors take you by charm . <br/>My experience started with a negative note , the server who was serving us , she just suddenly left our table unattended in middle of taking our order . Very rude . <br/>We were shortly attended by another server , already being put off by a not so welcoming experience , we stuck to brief and quick order .<br/>Orders a soup , which was delicious , appetizing and Rich in flavors , a must try .<br/>Pad Thai - have never had pad Thai tasting so bland and unappetizing . Not recommend it .<br/>I might go back for the soup but nothing else about this place has left a feeling of come back . <br/>Happy Eating

Assalamwalekum, after a long gap☺.<br/>Sukhothai is a wonderful thai cuisine. We had a office lunch meet and visited this place, must say this is a real thumbs up restaurant. Every dish has its unique flavour the starters, main course, desserts. It was just perfect, oops I can't remember the complicated names of the dishes and could not take the pictures also. I truely recommend thai food lovers to try Sukhothai and InShaAllah will visit this place again with family.

Food quality has changed <br/>Chicken had an unpleasant taste <br/>Prawn green curry lacked flavour<br/>Waiters seemed uninterested in our comments on the food , not even a apology.<br/>Will definitely thinking twice before going again.<br/>

Anytime I’m invited to a Thai restaurant, I can’t decline even if I’m restrained and made to wear a strait-jacket. And to be fair, when it comes to Thai food, I’m rarely disappointed. Last Tuesday, I was invited (though Zomato(!)- this is a super rare occurrence for me), to sample some of the items that will be served in their Songkren. I had an absolutely wonderful evening, and it was mostly due to the good company of like-minded foodies (Jen Sahi & her husband Rob, Michelle of Mishi’s Kitchen, and good ol Kimbery & Denver).

tried out the Songkran Festival menu all thanks to #zomato and #lemeridien at Sukothai. <br/><br/>The "Songkran" menu is till the end of April, and it costs AED 199 and with alcohol AED 299. There is a buffet setup for the appetizers whereas the main course is served freshly on tables. <br/><br/>Here are the few dishes that I tried:<br/><br/>Appetizers:<br/><br/>Cho Muang Sai Gai- prettiest dumpling I have ever seen! It’s a royal Thai dish. The colour purple comes from a flower called “butterfly pea” it’s all naturally taken from that flower and not dyed! Delicately crafted in the shape of a flower this gorgeous dumpling tastes amazing.<br/><br/>Satay Gai- chicken skewers, it tasted good and very moist. <br/><br/>Som Tam Goong Sod- not a fan of salads especially when such delicious other appetizers are served but the peanuts and prawns attracted me so I gave it a try and it was soo delicious! Don’t miss this salad out! <br/><br/>Mains:<br/><br/>Gaeng Khiao Warn Gai Rue Nuea: flavored with sweet basil this green curry of chicken tasted soo good with rice, the curry was mixed with thai eggplants and coconut palm heart. The amount of coconut used in this curry was perfect! <br/><br/>Phanaeng Goong Mang Gorn: Yum, Yum, Yum! Sliced red chilies in red creamy lobster curry. It was a flavorful dish with some spice! Totally worth a try! <br/><br/>Desserts:<br/><br/>Tab Tim Grob: jackfruit, palm seed, diced water chestnut in coconut milk topped with crushed ice crystals. Extremely refreshing thai dessert. The rubies like water chestnuts have a unique texture where they are soft and chewy on the outside yet slightly crunchy on the inside. The sweetness was just right!<br/> <br/>The service is good; food is presented well and it’s delicious! The interiors with traditional music in the background made me feel as if I was in Thailand, So great job on that!<br/><br/><br/>⚜Do check @thetastelog Instagram for some yummy food clicks⚜<br/>

After not eating Thai for some time, I’ve now eaten it twice in the span of two weeks. First at Thiptara and now at Sukhothai. This restaurant has been around for years and is located within the Le Méridien Village, a enclave of restaurants within Le Méridien's sprawling hotel and conference centre complex. But it's the perfect location for a Songkran celebration.

Happy Songkran! 13th April marks the beginning of the 3-day celebration ringing in the Thai new year. Lucky for us, we really don’t have to go buy a ticket to Thailand just yet – Sukhothai, the beautifully decorated Thai fine-dining restaurant located on the 5-star property of Le Meridien (Airport Road, Dubai) is setting up a lavish Bangkok Bazaar, complete with live entertainment and family fun.

Located at the Meridian Village (which is high on my list of weekend spots when the weather is cooler), Sukhothai is a well known Fine Dining Thai establishment. I finally knocked it off my list when a bunch of us dropped by for dinner on Thursday.<br/><br/>The night started a bit slow for us. We were seated outside where the service was slow and the noise from the people and music playing nearby didn't allow for much conversation or allow us to enjoy the tranquility the restaurant was trying to create. This didn't last long though as we were soon moved inside upon request. Suddenly, there was serenity. The generous use of walnut created a rustic and pleasant setting, aided by the soft sounds of traditional Thai music. There was also a noticeable improvement in service. <br/><br/>We skipped the appetizers since they offered little value for a group of 5 and jumped straight to Mains, which featured Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, 2 X Prawn Green Curry, Duck Red Curry and several portions of sticky and steamed rice. The curries do not come with a side of rice and one portion feeds one. <br/><br/>The Soft Shell Crab was exquisite. Fresh and wonderfully cooked, the garlic and peppercorn topping adding the right flavors to the moist crab. The Green Curry delectable. A beautiful concoction of cream and spice with 5 large prawns, possibly one of the best I've ever had. Roasted Red Duck Curries have always been too sweet for my palate, but the duck was very succulent. <br/><br/>Pricing was quite reasonable considering the portions were fairly generous. The Restaurant also features an exhaustive wine list. Special Mention to the Manager who accommodated a last minute request to do a Birthday Song with some Tender Coconut Ice-cream, for which I am grateful.

Sukothai, located at the Meridian Village Terrace, Garhoud, promises authentic Thai food, with quaint Thai decor and a performance or two to light up the evening. Their red-themed interiors, walls adorned with rustic Thai statues and artwork, and soothing live music played out on a traditional Khim in pentatonic scales sets the perfect romantic mood for a meal with loved ones. We ordered the crispy soft shell crabs, my personal recommendation which my party of 5 relished, a couple of prawn green curries and a duck in red curry. The green curry was creamy and sinful with its coconut base and the perfect mix of spices and vegetables, it's prawns were large and plenty for everybody on the table. The duck was succulent, not tough, and its red mild spices complimented the other flavours at our table. A serving of rice per person is recommended; portions of rice serve one; i.e. at par with other Thai restaurants. I wouldn't recommend the outdoor seating as the beautiful Thai music mixes with the sounds of loud live reggae from next door and produces a sound as cacophonic as a hen-yard. Also service isn't at its best outdoor (we asked to be moved indoors prior to our food arriving). Service indoor is great, valet parking as you'd expect at Le Meridian. Meals are reasonably priced given their quality and the ambiance, I wouldn't say the same about the starters though. They have a fabulous collection of wines too. The staff were kind enough to celebrate a birthday at our table with a few scoops of sweet tender coconut ice cream and singing and our birthday girl's face lit up with impish glee. Sukhothai is an authentic Thai restaurant that is located at the sprawling Meridien Village at Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Garhoud. I had the privilege of being invited for the preview of Sukhothai’s Songkran menu. . Sukhothai will be celebrating Songkran with a 3 day Songkran Bangkok Night Bazaar from April 13th to 15th.

Having fun is a big part of Thai culture, and that is exactly what Songkran- the Thai New Year- is all about. April sees the entire country gripped in friendly water fights and street parties that last nearly a week. Sukhothai, a Thai themed restaurant located in Le Meridien Hotel, is all set to give you a glimpse of this cultural festival.<br/>Sukhothai has been around for 16 years and has bagged several awards for their amazing food, service and all-round culinary experience over the years. You would find yourself transported to Bangkok as soon as you walk in through the doors. The place has all wooden interiors and a very traditional yet contemporary feel.<br/>In spirit of Songkran, Sukhothai is offering a special set menu from the 13th-15th of April. Find yourself immersed in the Thai culture with live entertainment, friendly boxing matches, and of course, some amazing food! All this for AED 199 and for the alcoholic package AED 299. This includes an extensive menu comprised of savory appetizers, salads, mains, desserts and beverages.<br/>But of course, we won’t ask you to go in there blind, so we went there before you and tried some of the items on their menu and boy were we glad or what!<br/>Here’s what we had:<br/>Appetizers:<br/>• Choe Morakot-this a traditional Royal Dish. These are no ordinary dumplings. They have lavender infused in the wrap that gives them their unique color and is artistically crafted into a flower. Looks beautiful and tastes great.<br/>• Kai Sate- one of the most moist chicken satay I've had in Dubai. It tasted just amazing.<br/>Salad:<br/>Sang Wa Gong, Thai Salad loaded with aromatic herbs, lots of spice and topped with crispy fish and prawns. tasted as if its from the Bangkok Street, in Bangkok itself. The ingredients were fresh and the prawns were diced in perfection<br/>Live BBQ stations:<br/>Tiger prawns and cutter fish- the prawns are grilled and served with an in-house dip. They were grilled so well that the skin just peeled off with a simple touch.<br/> <br/>Mains:<br/>• Panang Lobster- I’ve always preferred Red Curry Sauce, over the Green, cause my spice intake level is high. Now this sauce was just right, thickness, quality, quantity everything. The lobster is grilled and cut in to the sauce, yes! How cool is that? We were served traditional Thai Sticky rice, in a cute cane knit serving dish, excellent presentation. They went perfect with the Lobster dish.<br/>• Roasted Beef- served in Thai marinate with crushed garlic and pepper. Served with an in-house BBQ sauce, topped with green chili sauce. Beef was moist and tasted just right.<br/>Desserts:<br/>• Tart Mamuang- you can't go to a Thai restaurant and not have the sticky rice with fresh mango. This is the second most recognized Thai dish, after the dumplings. I really liked the topping on the sticky rice, and of course the mango was sweet too.<br/>• Tab Tim Krob- these were water chestnuts served in coconut milk with crushed ice in the middle. They do great on a warm, humid summer night. It’s a refreshing desert and tastes great too.<br/>Lastly, we had a pot of Dilma Chamomile Tea, to wash it all down.<br/>My final verdict? Everything was superb! The taste, plating, service and ambiance were all top-notch. Loved the hospitality standard as the service staff was vigilant, our service plates were changed at regularly without request and the plates were warmed. That's a +1 for me, as nowadays even the famous fine diners don’t do this anymore. A must go-to place. See you there on the 13th of April.<br/>You can also opt for their Friday lunch, Thaipas, for AED 149 ( and AED 199 for alcoholic package) and embark on a gastronomical adventure from 12-3:30 pm.<br/>Sawasdee Pee Mai! Which translates to Happy New Year :)<br/><br/>This restaurant is on entertainer app offer also.

Fantastic Thai. Sukothai located at the Le Meridian Village just next to the airport is a place to visit for thai cuisine and a cozy ambiance.<br/>We were there for dinner and the food was just amazing with all the right flavours and excellent ambiance.<br/>We had purple dimsums along with shrimp salad for starters followed by lobster curry, spicy stir fried noodles also known as pad kee mao and sliced beef served with sticky jasmine rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and I couldn’t find any fault with the taste or presentation.<br/>For dessert we had the mango with sticky rice and water chestnuts with coconut milk. Yummy. Definitely recommend.

Let's go Thai! Sukhothai is one of the best thai restaurant I've been in Dubai. Trust me I love that food. So let's get into my order (in my words) : Papaya Salad, Tom Kha, Grilled Beef and Green Vegetable Curry. To summarize everything was up to my expectations. A bit advice to you people who go there, if you don't tolerate spicy food, let them know. The staff was polite, and reduced the spiciness for me. Delicious food, nice ambience, and relaxing atmosphere. Recommend!

As a vegetarian at a Thai place, there is very limited choice. Considering that, Sukhothai does not have a wide variety of vegetarian options. Still, what they do have tastes absolutely delicious every time I have visited this place. The ambience is very unique and the servers make you feel like you are king. <br/><br/>Bottom line is that this place a worth a visit.

Thai food done right. You feel like you are in Thailand, and the food tastes authentic. I love this place, and I would suggest it to anyone who is trying Thai food for the first time.

Great place, I am coming get here with my guests after 3 years but taste of penang curry remains the same. Papaya salad with Singa beer and fried prawns with penang thick curry was awesome. Thai sticky rice and chicken penang curry with padthai noodle is cooked right with right spice and chilli. Love there food

The place was lovely and the staff was very professional and welcoming.<br/><br/>It's a bit expensive for a Thai restaurant but overall it's good value for money.<br/><br/>The green curry shrimps is amazing, the papaya salad could've been better in taste, and the tom yum kung soup was very tasty.<br/><br/>The dessert were not tempting at all

Thai food is one of worlds favorite, I love the place just step inside and you would feel like you are into a different place, the Thai ambiance is alive. <br/>The service is fantastic, they are very respectful and they help you with the menu. <br/>Food was delicious and very authentic, I would surely come back and recommend the place!

Oh My God<br/>i cant stop thinking about the food. It was really amazing. Thinking about it make me hungry.<br/>I had a chance to dine there for the first time and I loved this place. It has a very cozy ambient and food is exceptional. By far the best Thai food I ever had in Dubai. Dont forget that they have live entertainment on weekends.<br/>I highly suggest to eat there. We have ordered 6 different dishes and they were all great. make sure you order deep fried humour fish. <br/><br/>unfortunately they have a very bad management which i hope they take care of it ASAP to be a superb place.<br/><br/>Restaurant ambiance : perfect. 5.0<br/><br/>Staff : good , Manager: horrible 0.0<br/><br/>Food variety: good 4.0<br/><br/>Food quality: great 5.0<br/><br/>food choices: great 5.0<br/><br/>speed of service: 5.0<br/><br/>I suggest this restaurant for: romantic dinner

Fabulous Thai food!<br/>Came here once with a couple of friends for dinner and what a lovely experience it was.<br/><br/>We were handed menu as soon as we had a seat by the friendly and attentive staff. It was quite vast with a number of items including soups, salads, curry dishes, rice/noodles, dessert, etc.<br/>We decided to go with the safest options such as:<br/>Tom Yam Goong Nang: a light flavorful soup with plump juicy prawns. Fantastic!<br/>Som Tam: a spicy and tangy green papaya salad that was really refreshing.<br/>Vegetarian Green curry: compared to green curry that I've tried in other thai restaurants, this was was by far the best. Fresh ingredients with the right balance of sweetness and spice, went very well with the steamed jasmine rice.<br/>Pad Thai: absolutely nothing to complain about here, the flavors couldn't have been more perfect.<br/><br/>Everything about Sukhothai was spot on, from food to the beautiful dimly lit ambiance to the service.

Fantastic as always! Good food. Awesome ambience. Fantastic service. They were very attentive to all our needs but at the same time not intrusive. Sukho thai continues to be one of the best thai places out there. <br/>

When I think of good Thai cuisine, Sukothai always springs in my head. One of the most under-rated Thai restaurants in Dubai and a hidden gem amongst the plethora of restaurants.<br/><br/>We have been dining in this restaurant regularly for over a decade now...the menu changes have been there over this period of time - but what has stood out is the consistency of the food.<br/><br/>Set in the Meridien Village, surrounded by many other outlets, the decor is heavily influenced by Thai culture - lots of intricately carved woodwork, <br/><br/>After being given cold towels on a hot and sunny day, we were served a complimentary petite appetizer of green apple and onion salad in a tangy dressing ...very refreshing and unique combination.<br/><br/>For starters we ordered the veg. spring rolls - they are simply one of the best in town. The thin and crispy covering is perfectly fried enhancing the juicy and succulent stuffing inside - I would go to this restaurant simply for these rolls...<br/>The green papaya salad is also refreshing and is spiced perfectly with bits of peanuts, baby tomatoes and string beans. The clear mushroom soup has just the right amount of lemongrass & kaffir lime leaves flavoring...scrumptious...<br/><br/>The standard of the veg,.fried rice and basil flavored thai green curry is a notch higher than average. The dessert of deep fried banana coated with grated coconut and rice flour served with coconut ice cream was sinfully delightful..<br/><br/>Prices are the standard 5 star fare. Service is personalized and very courteous. The Bar menu is extensive and their are various options for set meal packages.<br/><br/>The giveaways of small colorful pouches containing various Thai paste and the recipes enclosed really inspire you to cook Thai food after having a delicious meal.<br/><br/>Go to this restaurant if you like Thai cuisine...

Great food, can be slightly less Flavoured at times so make sure you check wit your server on the spice or you might disappoint your taste buds. Great selection on liquor as well. Staff is very courteous and Always helpful to make your dining experience better.

The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Both when combined with the ambiance make for a pleasurable dining experience despite the higher than average prices. A secondary bonus is its location on Le Méridien property and accessibility to adjacent nightlife. The green curry was not as spicy as I'd hoped, but the Tom Kha Gai was delicious! Highly recommend for a special occasion, consider something else for a cheaper quick bite.

The food was lovely. The creamy red curry was divine, but since we went during lunch, it was pretty empty. <br/>Not worth the price tag though...
Siraj A.
Maybe my expectations were too high after reading other reviews. Thai fried rice needed taste/salt, pad thai was too sweet, beef in beef oyster sauce was decent, chicken in red curry dish had good flavor overall but chicken texture was a little rubbery. Very small portions.

I was here a few hours ago for a yummy thai dinner because I'm currently going through this asian food phase so anything asian and I want to go give it a try lol. I had made a prior reservation for the restaurant so as soon as we got there, we had our table within 2 to 3 minutes of time. We chose to sit outside since its finally the time of the year when you can start to sit outside and enjoy your meals with a view and the cool breeze blowing. Of course its not Europe breeze here but hey dubai winters are good enough for a dessert :p<br/>Anyway, the restaurant had a good seating arrangement inside as well. The interior was all light wooden brown and had a very calm and cool feeling which im sure works great during summers or even during lunch hours! Since the restaurant is based in a small promenade, there are couple of restaurants around. The ambience of every restaurant is being influenced and affected by one another. One of the restaurants had a live music performance going on that could easily reach us and we could even see it. It surely did make the dinner more nicer, as she had a great voice.<br/>Appetizers - We went for chicken dumplings that were made with purple lotus flower that gave it a very beautiful color. The dumplings were yummmyyy!<br/>Vegetarian tempura - when the dish was served on the table, I was pretty ticked off by the presentation and when I took my first bite, i thought to myself "what an insult to tempura?!" I strongly recommend that you do not try out this dish since it's a easy skip! It was too Oily And didnt taste good at all.<br/>Main course - Baby chicken was a freshly prepared dish and needed 20 minutes of cooking time. Well, it was worth the wait almost! It was definitely very well cooked and the marinade's flavors had properly mixed in the chicken pieces however, we were hoping for something that had a different flavor or something unusual so that was kind of a disappointment for us. This dish was served with a very tiny basket of sticky rice along with a sauce which was made of soya sauce and dry roasted sesame seeds.<br/>Drinks - my partner went for a champagne cocktail which tasted nice according to him. I am not a alcohol person so he's a better judge of drinks.<br/>Service - our server was attentive at all times and made sure we had a pleasant experience.<br/>Also, like most restaurants sukothai has a separate drinks and food menu along with a separate dessert menu as well. It's just something I noticed, I know nothing important! <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Good Food. Not worth the price though. Even after a 20% discount turned out quite expensive. I guess we are paying for the ambience and an authentic Thai experience.
VeggieCow
Although the appetizers are nondescript, Sukhothai's mains more than make up for the lackluster start. It's a small space for a popular Thai place, so reservations advised, particularly at supper time. The best water chestnut dessert in town.
Chatty Pea
Wonderful ambience. Authentic Thai food. Very pricey though. I guess we're paying for the wonderful service and ambience.

Sukhothai is one of many Thai restaurants in the city and yet it has distinguished itself from the pack by being one of the best, long standing restaurants at the Grand Hyatt in Garhoud. Their raw papaya salad was nice, crisp and juicy. The portion was just enough for one person. It was so good that my mouth is watering as I write this review. The usual green and red curries were great with visibly fresh ingredients.
