Very welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Great attitude. Attention to details.

Really amazing food, smoked Wagyu Dimsum, lotus one aswell dont know the name, stunning views, beef main course, egg noodles, mango dessert, sorry don't know the names, nice wine... Saveilly the main guy.
Had a really great night, the service was excellent from start to finish, they went the extra mile with rose petals on the table and a rose for my wife. Food was very impressive, the flavour was next level and we could not fault it. The atmosphere was great and the views of the Burj Al Arab impressive. I would seriously recommend anyone to visit and eat here. Thank you for a great night, the complimentary cake was a great finisher for us and we will visit again.
Beautiful restaurant situated in Madinat area. The ambience is just simply gorgeous. Zheng he’s serves Chinese food at it’s best. It’s authentic and simple yet so fresh and tasty. We went for my father in laws birthday and ordered a variety of starters and mains. The menu is limited and the veg may find it a bit challenging. The online Zomato menu is not up to date as we were slightly disappointed that they dint have the bbq chicken nor the veg dim sums .
But overall the food, service and ambiance don’t fail to impress.
Wonderful experience!
This was my first time trying Zheng He - excellent location with a beautiful view.
The manager Sherif was very pleasant and welcoming, he recommended what to order (you feel they personalize the menu for you): we had the Jasmin beef ribs, steamed / fried dumplings for appetizers. The angus beef, and prawns from the signature mains. And the green tea fondant for desert.
Food was delicious - an exquisite mix of flavors.
I also appreciated that the waiter Alessio would describe each and every plate we get on the table. This was a big plus.
Very charming place, would definitely come back. (Tip: amazing place for a date)
My wife and I have been to a few restaurants at the Madinat and we were always curious about Zheng He’s. Gotta admit, it didn’t disappoint. The food, service and location was great. The decor was a bit dated but not that big of a deal. We’ll definitely come back and recommend!
I went on Tuesday evening with my friend to Zheng He, a Chinese Restaurant located at Mina A’ Salam in the Beautiful City of Dubai. We ordered the Zheng He Voyage Menu. The Minimum order is for 2 persons and it is priced at 368 dhs person. The service, the View on Burj Al Arab, the Ambiance and the food was perfect.
Delicious dumplings, great excellent service. Stuff knows menu very well. If u dont know what to eat, they help. Place is a good organised. Simple to get there. If u r member of talise fitness, or having enterteiner dining u can get discounts. Other 20% off or 2 meals for price of 1. Definitely will be going there again for truffle dumplings, noodles and delicious fried with veggies
Beautiful location and great food! The menu is not very big but whatever they have is definitely worth a try. If the weather is good I would sit outside as it looks over the madinat canal. But I would advise you make a reservation as they have limited seating outside and it does get very busy.
We had the kung pao chicken, egg fried rice and the chives chicken and prawn dimsum.
Great views on the water canal
You can see burj al Arab clearly
Aed 148 for unlimited dim sum
Food is good and plenty
The unlimited dim sum package comes with soup, salad and main courses too
Came here for dinner with friend. The ambiance of the restaurant is really great. I like the restaurant that look into their atmosphere. The food was amazing, service good. Overall two thumbs
Went here for Chinese New Year, top tip book a table for outside...... amazing service, great food, The Cod with Chinese mushrooms was amazing, wine list has a nice selection and the scenery is second to none... please see attached photo... table for two with stater main and desert with a bottle of wine Aed1100.
Absolutely wonderful. An exquisite experience with terrific ambiance. Food, service and everything was out of this world. You have to try the Prawns with Mango Sauce and Kong Paw Chicken. Cheesecake with Vanilla Ice Cream is the best dessert you might ever taste in your life. Thank you Ray and Kenzi for the wonderful service and night
Really amazing ambiance. Perfect for a date. Average food portions but great service. Really indoor outdoor seating area gives a very private dining experience
Went there for weekday dinner for a birthday celebration, the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful, starting from welcoming to recommendations of the signature dishes.
Food experience:
Highly recommend the crispy beef alas a starter, it was cooked in perfect way you can feel the crisp perfectly (a bit sweet thought) but it was perfectly balanced. Also went for the seafood truffle dim sum, but this one was OK, I expected it to be way better!
For the main, we ordered the sweet n sour chicken, it was one of the best I’ve ever try, the way they cook the chicken, it’s so tender and juicy and the balance of sweetness is perfect! Also we order a recommended dish from the waiter as their signature...Beef tenderloin with pepper! Out of the world...the tenderness of the beef cubes is way beyond perfect, no wonder why it’s their signature dish..
And at the end they brought us the birthday dessert (can’t really remember the name) but it was so tasty and very well presented...you can call a day ahead and tell them about this special occasion so they can prepare it.
Overall...beautiful food, beautiful view...but the only down part for me was (non smoking tables even outdoor) but they have a smoking corner so from time to time you ca go there and smoke :) which is something I didn’t like as the table and the mood were perfect for smoking :)
Amazing place! Staff was beyond helpful. I was just a little cold and they brought me a pashmina shawl without me even asking. The food was exquisite - beautifully flavored and great portions. Overall a must-visit
I often rate Chinese restaurants by the quality of their kung pao chicken, which I've been eating for 29 years. The kung pao chicken here was one of the best I've had anywhere. Hence the high rating.
We tried a very large variety of dishes and drinks during our dinner and all were tasty: the dim sums were good and other chicken dishes were delicious too. The wine list is long with acceptable prices. The atmosphere is good with a nice terrasse on the canal and burj al Arab. The only downside was the service: the waiter seemed very unorganised, not giving enough menus or forgetting some dishes or drinks.
I would not say that this is very authentic Chinese taste as it is superior to what is usually tasted in authentic Chinese restaurant. But it truly has gorgeous taste which is well accepted and loved by everyone. All what I ate here had grilled broccoli in it, it tasted awesome but we just wanted something else as sides. Perhaps our own mistakes before ordering which could have avoided if we read menu carefully. Just to share our experience.
Excellent luxury chinese restaurant for chinese food lovers. Friendly staff, an amazing ambience with burj al arab. I recently visited with friends it has a good range of chinese dishes. Suggest to go for set menu for both veg and non veg selection its indeed a good selection of dishes. Its bit expensive but a must go chinese craving.
Nice place to celebrate an occasion. We happened to go for my birthday lunch. The best part about the outing was the service. They are extremely helpful and take care of you throughout the course of the meal. My mother is gluten intolerant, so they actually brought out two birthday cakes for me to cut. One for all of us and one specially for her. The food was great too. We ordered a chicken dish which was saucy, king prawns for starter, with truffle dumplings and spring rolls. The star of the show was the peking duck. Highly recommended. They have special menus for vegetarians and vegans. And the options are good. Great place for a good fancy meal. Comes with a great view too.
Visited ZhengHe’s sometime back. But I love the place for its peking duck!!! Yummmmm... I did other stuff too but the peking duck stole the show. You can go there only to have the duck! Sad that HSBC entertainer does not list this place any more. The ambience and views r out of this world!! Beautiful Romantic and Amazing !!
A friend took me to Zheng He's for dinner on a Friday night. We were welcomed by a gong at the reception and was later ushered into one of the outdoor tables by the corner -- hashtag sweeping views of the canal and the Burj Al Arab.
Ambiance was a subtle traditional Chinese on the inside, charming and romantic on the outside. It felt exclusive and a bit sophisticated as the access was through the hotel.
We ordered the Canadian Lobster and Squid Ink dumplings and the Crystal "Harkau" King Prawn dumplings as starters. I would recommend both -- they come in fresh and nicely-steamed, better-tasting than most.
For the mains, we ordered their Signature Roasted Beijing Duck -- it came with Chinese pancakes, spring onions, cucumber and Hoi Sin sauce. For two people, half a duck is enough, for as long as you are having two-three courses. The duck chef himself came out to carve the duck right in front of us, which pretty much sealed the "experience".
For dessert, they served us this Chinese cheesecake (white chocolate shell and creamy goodness on the inside) as my surprise birthday cake. All these Chinese goodness downed with a bottle of Pinot Grigio -- always my favorite part of the meal :)
Ambiance - intimate, peaceful
Customer service - brilliant, our server was Ray
Great value for money food, fresh
You come in for an experience, not just a meal :)
I had been with my wife and kid to this place for dinner on our anniversary. Sat outside as the view is great. The food was great ! The food is expensive but was definitely worth it !
Fariz Abasov - Critique De Restaurant
+4.5
Oh, it was a great experience. We enjoyed every minute. Food is so fresh and delicious. We ordered some great seafood in the beginning as a starter. Then we tried a duck which was so tasty. I recommend it to everyone. This restaurant is the best in its class.
Great ambiance & good food !
Beautiful setting with an amazing backdrop of Burj Al Arab, water canal and abras. They have a separate vegetarian menu.
Good bold and adventurous Chinese food, they try different things to enhance flavours and succeed in doing so. The Big Prawn starter was a good start to a good evening of good food. The location next to water / lake was a very good positive. A good place for a quite meal.
Ambiance - Well done interiors, typical Chinese Fine dine layout. I preferred the outdoor seating with views of the Burj Al Arab.
Staff - Courteous and excellent service
Food - Great menu for food and wine. We ordered dim sims, soup, mocktails, lettuce and mushroom rolls, fried rice, vegetable in pepper sauce and noodles. The food tasted really good, especially the dim sims. The lettuce wrap was good too, I liked the serving sauce that came with the dish. The vegetables in pepper sauce, fried rice and noodles were okay. I felt the portion of the main course was too little. In the end we ordered lemon grass dessert, it was nice tangy and sweet. Overall it was better than average experience.
Cost - 150 per person
Entertainer worked here.
Husband and I went in last night to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We booked a table for us and they asked if we were celebrating any occasion to which we said it's our wedding anniversary. They had a lovely table set up outdoors on the terrace, isolated from all other tables and by the pier with a beautiful view of Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah (as shown in photos). They had rose petals on the table for an added touch of romance to the already stunning ambience and view. The staff was nothing short of gentle, humble and really soft spoken. We were seated immediately and we ordered a beer each thinking we wanted to have a couple of drinks. After which, we decided to go with their Voyage Set Menu from their menu that includes 3 or 4 appetizers, a soup, 4 mains and a dessert. It seemed like sufficient food specially if it's tasting menu style and we didn't have to do the hard work of ordering certain dishes ourselves and rather focus on spending time with each other..
First they brought the quarter duck with pancakes along with soft shell crab, 2 chicken buns and 2 dumplings for us to begin our meal with.
The soft shell crab was just perfect and not soggy and even the right size to just drop in your mouth and relish. The chicken bun was slightly sweet but delicious and hot in the much needed cold weather. The dumplings were delicious and wouldn't have mind more of it. The duck though was by far our favorite appetizer.
Once we were done with the appetizers, they brought over a rabbit winter stew soup, rabbit meat dumplings in a clear salty broth, ideal for the wintery cold months. The dumplings were delicious and the soup itself was hearty. I remember being quite full after the soup but also much too proud to admit that I was almost done eating!
After few moments they brought out our main dishes, kung pao chicken, bbq braised beef short ribs, Chilean sea bass, sizzling tofu with chicken larb.
The chicken was nothing to rave about but the sea bass was quite delicious and fishy and soft. The beef short ribs were too meaty and fatty but the sizzling tofu was the favorite dish as I loved the chicken larb and the husband devoured the tofu. There wasn't a single one of these dishes we were able to finish no matter how much we tried. They were most definitely not tasting style portions! Oh yes and we did get a bowl of rice with our dishes which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Once the mains were cleared off our table and a small break, they brought around the dessert! We had a chocolate mousse with banana puree mousse of sorts, on a thin chocolate biscuit and a small layer of cake, served on a dish with caramelized /bruleed slices of banana. I'm unsure what the dish was called but that was literally what the definition and description of it was. It was mind blowing and just so tasty and I was beyond uncomfortably full and ended up devouring it!
Once that was done the staff brought another small mousse cake for us, for our anniversary and it was at that point very difficult for us to even indulge in entertaining the idea of eating anything more. To not be rude, we had a bite each and did enjoy the second dessert too!
Our evening at Zheng He's was just perfect; the ambience, the service, the staff, the view, the company and the food!
Thank you for a lovely wedding anniversary dinner date.
Location
Booked Zheng He's for our anniversary. Outdoor terrace has breathtaking views of the Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Mina A'Salam hotel and the waterways that run through the Madinat Jumeirah.
Staff
Great knowledge of the menu and able to advise on and recommend various dishes.
Very attentive but not over the top. Were greeted personally by the GM, Rika, upon arrival.
Menu
Traditional Chinese - great selection of Dim Sum. Portion sizes are generous. To start, we ordered the Black Cod Dumplings, BBQ Honey Chicken Puffs and Wagyu Beef Buns. All were absolutely delicious.
For main we had the Kong Pow Chicken made with free range chicken (lovely), and slow cooked Beef Short Ribs - one of the best rib dishes I have ever had. The meat was as tender as it was tasty, and the portion size was perfect.
Value
With alcohol, it's not the cheapest Chinese restaurant in Dubai, but the quality of food is definitely up there with the best and so it is good value. The setting and view are also the best in town, and so it really is a case of getting what you pay for.
Overall Recommendation
We are already looking forward to our next visit to Zheng He's, and would definitely recommend for couples, families, tourists and residents alike!
Wonderful chinese restaurant located in Madinat Jumeirah overlooking the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Celebrated my mom's bday here. I must say that the place really impressed me. Fantastic indoor decor and breathtaking views outdoors, the restaurant has a cosy ambience all throughout. We sat outside and it was so calm and peaceful. Staff are friendly, service was good and fast and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the dimsums and the crispy duck with pancakes.
As part of Jumeirah restaurant week, we enjoyed a set menu at this stylish Chinese outfit. The food was good and the service was excellent. There was even an entertainer who tried to juggle and perform some acrobatics! We sat inside but it was rather warm. Would recommend for big parties and family outings, maybe less so for romantic meals❤️
A lovely ambience, though are meals here for the winter have been better. Being a mother of a two year old, what impressed me was the special kids menu. Even though it was a Chinese restaurant, they had options of pasta, nuggets, juices etc on their menu. They had very cute special cutlery and plates for kids.
The food was good and our server guided us through the menu.
We ordered turnip cakes which had a strong smell of prawns and didn't taste right. Our server immediately took it back and we weren't charged for it.
Overall it was a good experience
Amazing food and even more amazing service. Honestly so happy with the service and food here. I've come here twice within two weeks for occasions in my family, the staff were so friendly. Extremely great service. The food was out of this world. I think best Chinese in Dubai.
Mark and I spent our 5th month here at Zheng He's 2 years ago. It was amazing! I think this was the first time we realized that soft shell crabs are the bomb.
The view is romantic as well. :)
I'm a big fan of Chinese food, OK so the service here is very welcoming , kind and fast(compared to other Asian restaurant) ambiance is more like a modern Chinese environment(open and comfortable) , love the way they presented our food, My favorite food was duck with that sauce, in total i had a good experience but i was expecting a bit more from this place for some reason.
Although the food was very tasty and the place was very relaxing(kinda felt like home) but there was something important missing ,and tbh i don't even know what(im sorry). But overall a good place to eat Asian food.
Very good Chinese restaurant
My first time to try duck 3.5/5

Recommendations:
Good to go there from time to time. Was very good but not the best Chinese in the city.
Thanks to the management and staff, was really a great dining there
Very romantic place if you visit it during cooler weather. Good for dinner. Beautiful Asian food, again fusion; if you are not a fan of Asian food, then try it here and you will fall in love with it. Very relaxing ambience and impeccable service.
They have a separate Vegetarian and Gluten Free menu and have some really quality food. The vegetarian Beijing duck and Spring Rolls were really flavorful. I did not enjoy the Mushroom strips as much, but the noodles were pretty good.
Make sure you try and get a seating outdoors by the water. The ambiance was just beautiful with a great view of the Burj al Arab.
Had a great experience. Place is absolutely beautiful. Food is very delicious. And the staff are nice, friendly and very knowledgeable with the menu. Special mention to Dongdong who's very helpful and for the good service.
The ambience is amazing - perfect 5/5 !
Food was disappointing though . 3/5
We liked the din sum sleection and the crispy beef sirloin from the starters however the main were greasy and lacked flavour .
Crispy giant prawns were good too .
We had the corn fed hockey which was highly recommended and noodles with xo sauce . There were huge chunks of meat in both.
This was followed by chamomile and sencha teas which were just served in a pot - no surprises here unlike Chinese restaurants that serve flower blossoming teas .
Good for a first visit -
the brunch portion is huge and every dish is delicious and real authentic. the pepper beef is really awesone. the service is also outstanding. Rongjian is very thoughtful and attentive
We had a great branch! The food are delicious and the waiter are really nice! Thanks Rongjian, he reminder us do not take to many dingsum since the main courses are too much for us!
This restaurant is is my absolute favourite in the area! We love the serene ambience, the innovative food and the outstanding service. Book a table right by the water!
Pricey? Yes!!
Food? Value for money!!!
Service? Top-notch!
This is a good for high-end Chinese food. Sit outside to see the abras from Madinat Jumeirah pass by.
The Indonesian restaurant manager is really helpful. In my first visit she arranged for our table and designed our 3-course menu so we would get a fuller experience. Food was mouth-watering (smaller servings hence pricey) and completely satisfying...but will keep you wanting for more.
A definite if you are craving authentic Chinese food and would not like to settle for less (Noodle House or Royal Orchid!)
Great ambience, friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and give great recommendations, rich menu and great delicious food
Like most restaurants in Mina A'salam I usually like to park at Madinat Jumeirah and take the daw to the restaurant this adds to the wonderful experience
Once I reached Zheng He's I was amazed by the selection of golden chopsticks on display with names of royalties, top VIPs and celebrities engraved on them
I ordered the vegi spinach steamed dim sum and king prawns fried dim sum they were both delicious
Then for main course I had the stir fry prawns with chili sauce on a bed of steamed asparagus with stir fry egg noodles
My friend had the ribs with black pepper sauce
For dessert we had the fried banana with ice cream with Ginseng Oolong tea
I rarely rate a restaurant 5/5 but Zheng He's is wonderful
Highly recommended for families, friends and love birds
We always go there for a quite night out .. the food and the selection of drinks is nice .. the duck is really tasty .. the indoor has nice decoration and the outside seating is also nice ... the staff are always nice and friendly . Recommended
Good views but average food is how I would like to start this off. We dined here for my parents anniversary. We had a very nice view of the Burj Al Arab and our table was by the waters. For starters we ordered The hot and spicy soup with crab pretty average not worth the price. We ordered 2 types of dumplings the 'Har Kau' and 'Siew Mai' both were spot. Since the weather was chilly, it was so nice to have some hot dumplings. For the main course we ordered the Zheng He's seafood fried rice, beef tenderloin, the wok fried Si Chuan Style king prawn and the wok fried somen noodles. The beef wasn't tendor at all I wasn't happy with that and the noodles was cold so I wasn't happy with it. But the fried rice and prawn made me very happy, so much flavor and it was tossed with the right spices to make it even better ( recommended to order). They caught my parents a little cake which was amazing 😍. Overall I would recommend going here!
Shany Approves✅
Ambience:- 5/5
Food :- 3.5/5
Presentation :- 3/5
Value for money :- 3.5/5
One of my favorite Chinese restaurant in town! Perfect location, good service, great food. Prices are quite high but overall balanced with the place
Everything was spectacular from the greeting at reception to the food. Authentic, tasty and amazing service. Kudos! Will definitely be back!!!!
Extraordinary Setting for this one. Cant find a better located Chinese Food joint. Service is prompt but options for Vegetarian very limited. Soups was a 50:50 nothing great, while Mock Chicken and Ham was amazing. Entree and Main course both very very average which shows not a lot of depth in the Veg Options. Desert (Banana Chocolate) was quite upbeat.
No thoughts on a repeat visit any time soon..
Views of the iconic burj al arab never cease to amaze! Service is wonderful and food is of decent quality and taste. The flavours don't necessarily pop but who cares when you have charming servers and a spectacular view!
If you are a DimSum lover then this is one of the places that you must try! Zheng He’s at Mina A’ Salam is currently running a Dimsum Winter Festival priced at Dhs120 per person, where you can try 10 Dimsums of your choice and a dessert. With unobstructed views of the Burj Al Arab, you can just forget your worries and relish your meal here.
Name: Zheng He’s
Location: Mina A’ Salam, Madinat Jumeirah
Cuisine: Asian
Ideal for: A great Oriental experience with a view!
What I tried:
The Dimsum Lunch is a set menu where you can order 10 pieces per person (See menu attached below) Diners have an option to choose between steamed or fried and also between their preferred meat, thus giving everyone enough variety.
Out of al,l I loved these DimSums the most:
-Spinach Spiced Dumpling with Black Chinese Mushroom
– Honey Roasted Barbeque Chicken Bun (The bun was fresh and delicious)
-Golden Prawn dumpling
-Crystal Har Kau King Prawns Dumpling
-Out of the two desserts they offer, the Rice Ball with peanut crumble seemed better.
If you want you could take one Dimsum package and the rest can be ordered from their the a-la-carte menu. I tried these dishes (from the a-la-carte menu) and absolutely loved them:
-Wok Fried Kong Pao Chicken with cashew and chilli (AED 90): A classic Asian dish which was perfectly flavored and the quantity was good for two.
– Vegetable Fried Rice (AED45): Can’t go wrong with this one, its the best companion with your chicken and prawn gravies.
– Wok Fried Somen noodles with fresh shrimps and vegetables (AED 55): Since I’m a noodle lover, I like my noodles in a particular way and this one didn’t disappoint. It was too delicious.
– Wok Fried Si Chuan style King Prawns, spicy chilli sauce (AED 180): This main course dish is a must try, the prawns were huge and so fresh.
Hot Chocolate Fondant with Red Bean Ice cream: Honestly, I thought when I would cut through, liquid chocolate would be oozing out like all the other fondants, but unfortunately it was more like a dry cake with no chocolate inside. Quite disappointing!
My experience:
-The best thing about the place is the view and the ambience. I could just sit here for hours and eat. Very few places have a relaxed atmosphere like this.
-The Dimsum Menu is perfect to enjoy in this amazing weather and a picturesque setting.
-On a Friday, the outside section of this restaurant was buzzing, so make sure to reserve in advance. When reserving a table request for one by the water.
-This place is definitely on my list of favourite Chinese restaurants in the city.
Service: The lady who served us seemed a little confused but nonetheless, it was all good.
Bill: Dimsum Lunch= AED120 per person + extra for drinks and other food

Zheng He's was one of the most celebrated Chinese restaurants when it opened, which was due to its imperial interiors and ambiance. They pretty much redefined the Asian fine dining segment with this creation and set a whole new standard.
Having been around for over a decade and a half, they have withstood the stand of time and all the different competitors that have come along. Zheng He's still has a fan following and offers a great dining experience.
They offer a great menu selection, with ample Vegetarian options, which makes my friends and me quite happy. They also offer a great wine selection to go with their great food. The place also livens up with great energy every Friday offering a lavish nice brunch, giving it a festive feel.
If you enjoy fine Asian food, Zheng He's is definitely worth a visit.
If I could I would give 10 out 5! Everything was spectacular from the greeting at reception to the food. Authentic, tasty and amazing service. Kudos! Will definitely be back!!!!
I think the ambience is to die for. Their brunch is so good specially the roasted duck.... if you need a relaxed afternoon one needs to go and just relax at Zheng he's.
For Chinese food lovers, Zheng he's is a must. Offering more than enough servings with dumpling station. Desserts are worth a try with its exciting names comes the exciting taste. Very good food and helpful staff and nice ambience.
All-in all Amazing hospitality, topped with great food and the lovely ambience..
Stunning views for Burj Al Arab and the canal if you are seated outside assuming the weather allows. Very good service and good food. The food is not as good as it used to be but it is still good.
Great food and ambience. Excellent service. Of course it's pricey, but portion sizes are good enough to not make me raise my brow and the service staff makes up for everything.
Beautifully located near the water and the music is just right to allow conversation and privacy at the same time.
Amazing Chinese food!! We were there last night and had some lip smacking Chinese cuisine. Do try the Golden fried prawns in mango and mustard sauce and Chilli crab buns! They have a unique menu with lots of different dishes to try👍🍤
Great food, we had Zheng He's voyage which was delicious but soooooo much food, we took the remainders home in a doggy bar ! Great place with lively staff very attentive and I am very pleased to see that JUMEIRAH group has realized it is necessary to offer a larger selection of wines starting below 700aed a bottle !
Wonderful experience at Zheng He's when we went there for our daughter's birthday dinner. We chose to sit outdoors despite the heat and were rewarded with a magnificent view of the burj Al Arab. Food was fantastic as expected with the Wok Fried Chicken topping the list. Mart from the restaurant team ensured we got the food to our table just at the right time and temperature - thank you Mart for making the evening memorable for us. Zheng He's is highly recommended, especially if you love Chinese food and want a view as well while you are at it !
Absolutely fantastic place! Amazing ambience, amazing food, very well trained and knowledgeable staff! Arguably, one of the best restaurants in Dubai!!!
Little did I know that I was going in for combat when I walked in with my dearest friend at Zheng He by the waterfront at Mina’a Salaam. Read the account of how I demolished an entire 1.5 kilo Canadian lobster after a stomach full of food! And BTW, Zheng He makes top class Chinese food.
We tried the Voyage Brunch and it was exquisite. Absolutely all ingredients were fresh and premium. Every dish was a delicatesse by itself. It was the last brunch before Ramadan so there was plenty of people. Too bad there is no music for ambiance but the view is breathtaking. Looking forward to try it during winter. Bte the cocktails are masterpieces!
probably one of those few dim sum gem around dubai
we went on a sunday evening to be surprised by the amount of crowd in there
customer service superb and accomodating
love the view
shame weather a little humid now or sitting outside would be amazing
we had peking duck and selections of dim sums
gotta say the black cod siew mai was one of a kind
definitely a return
I've been wanting to visit this place for a while now and decided to visit on an occasion for a birthday and anniversary and honestly couldn't have been a better choice .. Made a booking early enough and despite the heat in May, the outdoor table was very pleasant especially seeing the burj lit up...
We went to Zheng He's on a whim for Sunday lunch without a booking. The restaurant wasn't busy so they easily accommodated us. We chose to sit outside despite the warm weather so we could enjoy the amazing views of the Burj Al Arab as well as be water front with all the abra's passing by. The oriental music inside was very soothing and fitting to the type of restaurant.
We had the dim sum lunch promotion which includes 10 pieces of dim sum plus your choice of 2 desserts for just 120AED. All of the dim sum are freshly made in house by the chefs with the freshest of seafood. The quality and flavor of every dim sum we tried was very good. I can especially recommend the scallop dumpling which was my favorite. The service was prompt without being intrusive. We ended with our desserts inside and were also handed a fortune cookie on our way out. It was my first experience at Zheng He's but I'll definitely go back again. It's an easy walk from Madinat Jumeirah through the Mina A Salam hotel.
Went here on Friday for brunch and had a wonderful experience! If you're looking for a quiet brunch that allows you to hear yourself talking to whoever you have the pleasure of brunching with....then this is the brunch for you! We were a party of 3 and arrived for the brunch at 1 pm (it officially starts at around 12.30 pm) . We were welcomed with a non-alcoholic bubbly and taken to our table that had a lovely view overlooking the Burj al Arab ( what a pity the weather didnt permit us to enjoy the brunch outdoors !) The non-alcoholic brunch offers you a choice of 3 equally delightful mocktails, besides the regular juices and soft drinks. The alcoholic package offers 5 signature cocktails, each of which is unique in its own way. The entrees were an absolute delight, an assortment of duck spring rolls , steamed duck bao ( bun) and chicken siu mai. While the duck bao was a bit chewy, the other two were to rave for! The live dim sum station offered classic shrimp based dim sums, each better than the previous one. The at-your-table carving of more duck for the classic DIY-pancake-and-duck hoi sin made for a nice little spectacle that my guests enjoyed! It felt like service was a bit slow though, since we had to gather the attention of our server on more than one occasion. Next came the main course which was a nice mix of beef brisket, steamed veggies, braised duck, lemon chicken and sweet ginger wok fried lobster , all with a unique Chinese twist to them. The noodles were wonderful, though the fried rice could've been better. The best part of the brunch was the dessert with an assortment of these ranging from duck egg creme brulee to French toast with plum compote to mango coconut delicacies laid on a bamboo board ! All in all, we spent a wonderful 3 hours enjoying a well-portioned, not-too-heavy-and-not-too-light meal in an absolutely appealing atmosphere ! Overall food -4 stars, service-stars, price-3.5 stars, ambience -4.5 stars.
Tried the dim sum lunch - available from sun - thurs and priced at aed 120 pp. The lunch includes 10 pieces of dim sum + a dessert.
We called and booked in advance and the lady on the phone was very helpful and informative. She told us where to park, informed us that the last order is at 2pm and asked us if we were using a time out voucher (which we were) and reminded us to bring it with us. Really great service on the phone - we were already impressed.
We found the place easily enough and were led to our table and given the menus. We chose to sit inside as it was quite hot in the afternoon. Our table was facing the windows and we enjoyed a nice scenic view of the outdoors and the abras passing by.
We ordered a mix of dim sums from a pre selected list. Everything we ordered tasted amazing but the ones that stood out were the pan fried seafood pot sticker, golden prawns dumpling (this was amaaazzing), chicken siew mai, char siew bao and the spiced spinach and mushroom dumpling.
The desert was a bit of a miss for us just because it didnt suit our taste but the glutinious rice ball are definetly interesting to try.
We got "chinese lover" mocktails for our drinks and enjoyed them.
Service was very average. Not amazing and not terrible although it could definitely be improved. For example, our server just assumed that I couldnt use chopsticks and placed cutlery for me but paused to ask my husband if he would like a set. I found this a bit strange and rude for her to assume I cant use chopsticks (fyi i can use them perfectly). How did she assume this? Based on what i look like? I dont know...this was just weird.
Overall - Good food, acceptable service and a pretty location. If you have the time out voucher and are contemplating if its worth it, I do recommend you give it a try.
Zheng He's has the most calm and romantic setting by the Souk Abra until the Bar upstairs opens up and the loud and distracting noise trickles downstairs to this place. Thankfully, we arrived here for an early dinner, and left when it was just beginning to get noisy.
We had the delicious Wok-fried Kong Pow Chicken along with Cashew Nuts, and the staff suggested they could make us Egg Fried Rice even though it wasn't on the Menu. Needless to say, the service is great and staff are very accommodative!
While I would definitely come back here, it would mostly have to be during the day time.
The best bit is the bowl of Fortune Cookies at the entrance - you can't leave without grabbing one!
I went for the Friday Brunch. Great environment, liked their cocktail, surprised to see tsindao. However, the food seems to be more tailored for western taste than real Chinese. There were dishes like sweet and sour lobster which you will hardly find in any authentic Chinese restaurant. The quality of the few dim sum dishes was below average. Beijing duck tastes better than it looks. Wagyu beef with bun and seafood fried rice are amazing. Not sure if dinner is better than brunch.
This is a good time to be alive and to be in Dubai, for it is the month of the Dubai Food Festival (erm, well, it was when I started writing this review *embarrassed face*)! Crowd goes wild? Crowd goes wild. What’s better, is that my parents were here during Dubai Restaurant Week (DRW), and I got to take them to one of the best places possible for a tourist who wants to snap some frame-worthy pictures: Mina Al Salam in Madinat Jumeirah. Our restaurant of choice: Zheng He’s, because we all love Chinese food as it if were our native cuisine.
Quacked away - Duck Brunch at Zheng He's in Mina Salam
Dubai is known for its lavish brunches. In fact it is one of the “To dos” while visiting Dubai. Although brunches have been a part of Dubai’s social scene for a while now, I was quite fascinated with the concept of the Themed brunches like the one introduced by Zheng He’s – Mina Salam’s Asian restaurant. The restaurant has already proven its mettle and is quoted in every single article referring to exquisite Asian cuisine in Dubai. The Duck brunch as they call it is an extensive set menu brunch served in family style at your table. I do love set menu style brunches as you don’t have to keep running up to the brunch set up to have your meal served. I was quite fascinated by the concept I must admit especially as I am a huge fan of the Peking duck and it’s not like you get to try several varieties of duck at any restaurant in Dubai.

Weekend Brunches just got a lot more amusing in Dubai! How could it not be when you now get brunches specializing in star ingredients throughout the courses of the brunch? One such instance is the Zheng He’s Friday Duck Brunch that was launched two Fridays ago.
Zheng He, located at Mina A Salam, boasts one of the best oriental cuisines in town. With a lavishly spaced out setting, you not only get to enjoy the rejuvenated vibe that Zheng He’s projects, but you also get to enjoy postcard worthy views of the Madinat river overlooking the Burj Al Arab. It was in our favor that when we attended the launch of the Friday Duck Brunch, the weather was more than pleasant for us to sit back, relax, enjoy the breathtaking views and devour some delicious duck! What we admired the most about this brunch was the fact that almost each and every component of this brunch was centered on duck – and that includes the desserts as well with the use of duck eggs.
The brunch comes with two options; a non-alcoholic package with a selection of brunch sharing cocktails and an alcoholic package with selected alcoholic beverages. We opted for the non-alcoholic package which consisted of the Food Menu and a selection of three mocktails – Chinese Lover (green tea, pineapple juice, orange juice, passion fruit syrup and elderflower), Elderflower (apple juice, lemon juice, fresh mint and soda water) and Harmony (kiwi juice, pineapple juice and orange juice)
Once we were served our drinks, we were then presented with an extensive food menu that looked absolutely mouthwatering.
To begin with, we were presented with a beautiful spread of appetizers which include,
- Beijing Duck Wraps which were probably our most favorite appetizer. This “DIY” appetizer is served with thin pancakes, hoisin sauce and sweet syrup, celery, cucumber and shredded pieces of lusciously cooked duck. We loved how the flavor of all the ingredients married perfectly together once we wrapped them all up.
- Duck Spring Rolls were another delight to devour. The spring rolls were fried perfectly leaving them crispy and crunchy with a generous filling that went perfectly with the sweet chili sauce.
- Steamed Duck Bao is a Chinese classic starter which is a steamed Chinese bun stuffed with a duck filling. The consistency of the bun was perfectly soft and the filling was well seasoned as well.
- Pan Fried Seafood Pot Sticker was the non-duck element of the starter spread, nevertheless tasted divine. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the flavor of the sauce didn’t overpower.
- Duck Liver “Siew Mai” with XO Chilli sauce was the final dish of our appetizer. The Siew Mai tasted good; however it was the chili sauce that enhanced the flavor of this dish.
Once we were done with our starters, we were then served with a warm and hearty portion of Hot and Sour Duck Soup with Silken Bean Curd. This soup bursts with flavor with every spoonful. It’s one of those soups that you would crave when you’re sick in bed and in desperate need of something warm and comforting.
For our next round, it was time for mains! When we glanced through the menu for mains we could barely control our excitement. In spite of a very filling round of appetizers, looking at the main menu made us go hungry again. Our mains consisted of,
- Deep Fried Duck Filet with Lemon Sauce. This dish was mild and sweet with a hint of lemon that added sourness to the dish (a play on the traditional sweet and sour). The duck was crispy and complemented the sauce well.
- Smoked Duck Breast with Black Pepper Sauce. This dish on the other hand was packed with heat and flavor. The duck breast was succulent and tender as well.
- Wok Fried Canadian Lobster with Spicy Ginger Garlic Sauce. This was one of our favorites at the brunch. The lobster was deliciously cooked and the sauce has a nice tangy punch to it.
- Clay pot Sea bass Fish Fillet with Garlic Butter Sauce. Another mild dish, which was probably not the best dish we’ve had at the brunch but tasted pleasant nevertheless.
- Slow Cooked “Mui Choy” Wagyu Beef Brisket, Chinese Bun, Duck Meat and Fried rice. We loved the flavor of the sauce for this dish and the way the bun tasted delightful when drenched in the sauce.
- Wok Fried Duck Meat with flat rice noodles and black beans was the final main dish we tasted and yet again another duck dish that we adored. Surprisingly, we couldn’t get enough of the duck and relished it like all the other duck dishes.
Finally for desserts we were served a platter of some delectable Chinese desserts that satisfied all our sweet tooth cravings. The platter included,
- Duck Egg Crème Brulee that tasted as delicious as any other brulee we’ve had, however it had that special touch of being cooked with duck eggs.
- Chinese Layer Cake with Duck Egg Custard. A very unique custard that wasn’t too sweet and was lusciously soft.
- Pain Per Du with Chinese spiced Plum Compote. It was soft and light and went perfectly well with the tartness of the compote.
- Mango Coconut Egg. We loved the combination of flavors and the freshness of this dessert. The presentation was beautiful as well.
- Double Chocolate Green Tea Financier. The best among all the desserts, the combination of green tea and chocolate is uniquely brilliant.
- Seasonal Fruits Platter.

Excellent duck brunch. Good service, nice drinks and great food. Loved the dimsum and interesting cocktails. Good value for money all around
I have wanted to go here for ages... I highly recommend outdoor seating- where you have the most breathtaking view of Burj Al Arab. The food was pretty good- and service was lovely. Definitely a 'special event' kinda place.
To start, this is an authentic, high end Asian restaurant, which is beautifully designed and has a second to none location on the Madinat waterways, with unencumbered views of the ocean and the iconic Burj Al Arab... Anyhow, with the seen set, here we go.... A group of three of us had their "Duck Brunch" yesterday (Friday) and I must say, it's some of the very best food and accompanying service I've had in my 7 years in Dubai... As a fussy Britt living here for a relatively long period of time, I've come to expect high standards from such brands (Jumeirah) and I must say, on this occasion, mine and the rest of my tables expectations were surpassed. The eight course brunch, with self service, freshly made Dim Sum, was amazing, with my faves being Peking Duck with pancakes and the smoked duck in pepper sauce.... Our waiter was OK/average but the Assistant Manager, Jamal (genuine and uber professional Filipino guy) had the balance of the service very well covered and made our day very enjoyable/lifted the service to excellent. On that note, thanks very much for making our day brilliant Jamal and it's good to see you have an expert command over what the rest of your team are doing, cheers and well done, for sure we will be coming back to sample equally fantastic levels of service and cuisine... Finally, I would also like to thank Rica (sorry if it's the incorrect spelling) for taking the time to introduce herself as the F&B Senior, along with sharing some of her great knowledge of the cuisine on offer and very warm conversation... In conclusion, fantastic food, warm and genuine service delivers by Jamal and overseen by the very professional but warm Rica.... Great job, see you soon. JOHN
We tried out the Duck Friday brunch today😊 it was an amazing experience! Really worth it. It was almost all served at the table. We got to try many types of dimsum, and many appetisers that I can't remember the names of! The duck carving was the epitome of the experience. It was very interesting for the kids to see and experience. They quickly learned and got busy rolling up their duck rolls. Then they served us the main courses which were around 7 kinds! Ranging from fried rice, to lobster, chicken, fish, noodles, beef. So be prepared! And last but not least, the dessert was also unique. They served exotic fruits with lychee sorbet. Green tea cakes with chocolate and cream. Pain perdu (french toast) with plum sauce. Mango pudding and Duck egg creme brulee! Wow! What a fantastic experience! Highly recommended brunch👌👍💯✔

One of the best restaurants and must visits in Dubai
It is worth the price. It is affordable (for its location and dishes) and delicious
The service is excellent. They are friendly, they are nice and if you want Halal only dishes (there are only 2-3 non-halal) but let them know and they will give you the proper replacements.
We visited for the Chinese New Year and we got instead of pork, chicken for their set menu.
Everything we ordered is delicious.
The soup has a perfect consistency. It is thick but easily consumable
Thé boa has a cake-like texture but in the good way and it is somewhat sweet but you will like it (I hope)
Thé beef is LITTLE bit spicy but delicious including the nuts with it
The prawns are crispy, not my favourite but good
Vegetable noodles are so gooooood. They come with pak-choi. It is enough quantity for one and can be shared if you want to have little
Thé désert was fresh mango sago
It was FRESH and tasty
Overall incredible dishes and service
As for the location not only is the hotel service amazing, but you get the spectacular view and the beach vibe. There is also Burj Al Arab view which is incredible day or night!

We recently visited Zheng He’s on Saturday early afternoon for their Yum Cha Brunch. The venue is spacious and the setting is gorgeous. We sat outdoors and enjoyed their brunch set menu. The food was great.

Not sure what was better: the food, the view or the service. Probably our most tasty meal in Dubai. An upscale restaurant that’s also kid friendly. It was a great way to end our vacation.
Yangzhi Ganlu
