To begin with, I absolutely loved the outdoor and indoor decor of this restaurant, both are so tastefully done

Taikuns Zen Garden brunch comes with a set menu that comprises of all the hallmark Asian dishes. The menu is quite diverse so we had a table full of some amazing dishes like duck tacos, salmon sashimi, viatnamese spring , tuna tataki, sushi’s and more.A special mention for their salads which were so good and juicy and also the sushi and sashimis. Tried the Japanese dessert mochi for the first time and really liked it. All in all loved the setup and ambience

We enjoyed this place so much that we were there from 1pm to 5pm. Loved that the food kept coming to the table and we didn’t have to keep getting up to serve ourselves.

Located very suitably in Vida downtown and also boasting of a dedicated entrance through the downtown boulevard, Taikun is a Japanese concept fine dining restaurant by Lincoln Hospitality.
Very smartly arranged place – 2 segregated outdoors (boulevard facing and closed courtyard) and indoor (smoking space opposite of the bar and non-smoking place overlooking the open kitchen). The blue upholstery couches in the non-smoking indoor area were so were so pretty. Those ancient style swaying fans on the ceiling were so different. Though drizzling, we got seated in the courtyard with umbrellas. The courtyard had a Fairytale feel with rice light figures of deer and Cindrella’s carriage. Perfect dinner date destination.
Our food order with some drinks and Shisha was finger-smackingly good. The kitchen is definitely doing a good job.
Appetizers:

- Salmon & Crab Maki (out of the world)
- Tuna Crispy Rice
Main course:
- Wagyu Beef Gyoza
- Beef Taco
- Malay Beef
The portion size of the main course is the same as appetizers. So don’t keep expectations high about the main course portion be regular sized.
But – what I can state that the superior quality of food is by far one of the best Asian food I had in UAE.
Shisha dude definitely did a great job. Never once did I felt the shisha is burning off. Smooth whiffs all along!!!
Improvements needed (1 star rating missed here)- Service and guest attendance. The staff were either absent minded or unorganized and a few unnervingly cold & unbothered. An organized staff is a successful recipe of business and this place needs it.
For the food and the lovely courtyard, I am definitely coming back for more!

I can't stop raving about this place ever since my visit. Everything about Taikun is amazing, the restaurant both indoor and outdoor is stunning, the service is impeccable and the food is simply delicious.
We were served by Patrick who made some excellent recommendations and was prompt with the service. They service sheeha too which is a big plus as it is always lovely to enjoy sheesha with a meal in a beautiful outdoor seating.
I called for a grape mint sheesha that I enjoyed. To start with we called for Red Dragon rolls. I would highly recommend these if you are love Maki rolls.
We also called for Chicken Baos, Shrimp Dumplings and Dynamite Tempura Shrimps. The Chicken Baos had great flavor with the fried chicken in a soft bao. All of the starters are really good however I would recommend the Red Dragon rolls and the Chicken Baos the most.
The Chilean sea-bass was for main course. This one stole our heart! Tender seabass cooked to perfect in an amazingly delicious sauce. This one was irresistible.
For the desserts we tried the chocolate Fondant and the Lemon Grass Creme Brûlée. Both of these were extremely unique and delicious. The chocolate Fondant had hot chocolate and macha on the inside, I cant tell you guys how good it was. The Lemon grass Creme Brûlée is another hero dish, a sure not to miss when here.
Enjoyed a wonderful and relaxed evening at Taikun, that we cant wait to be back already.

Located in one of the prime areas in Downtown, Dubai, Taikun isn’t that hard to miss. We were expecting to have a lovely Japanese brunch with a lot of sushi but once there we were offered an experience beyond our expectations. The atmosphere inside is just amazing. Once you step in you already want to just relax and unwind. The reception has an authentic Asian set up with bamboo and wooden interiors and some lovely traditional ornaments. The best part about Taikun is that it entertains all kinds of seating preferences.

When i got to know that i we will be visiting this place, i got so excited. Since its located in a prime area at the same the type of dish they serve is one of my favorite dishes on earth.
I thought it’s just a typical dining restaurant with a normal size dining area but i was wrong.
They have different sections, two outdoor seating location and an indoor and huge ones and can accomodate good number of people.
I was so amazed with the set up and interior.
You can also see the action inside the kitchen as they have live station.
The drinks were good too.
We ordered:
Starters
Aburi Salmon - i can finish the entire plate without a doubt. Its just so good.
Sea bass and mango ceviche - so refreshing and delicious.
Mains
Lamb chops - very tender and i love the yellow mashed in there as it really compliments the meat.
Wagyu - hands down to this. Melts in your mouth and the flavour was just heaven.
Desserts
Fruit platter- all fresh and quality cut fruits.
Chocolate fondant - not your typical fondant, this one has right amount of everything in it, not too sweet.
Overall experience? Well its now on my list of to go to restaurant if i have visitors coming outside UAE.
I can come here alone too real soon and try more from their menu.

Foods were amazing especially their dessert (mochi, cheesecake and choco lava cake)! Our server (Patrick) was also amazing, very accommodating and always making sure we have everything that we need. We definitely enjoyed our dinner here. Was nice to finally discover this Japanese resto 👌
Tokyo cuisine right in Dubai!
From sushi to sashimi, yakitori to delicious salads, dumplings to the amazing cocktails and wines, this was honestly a brunch worth it!
I opted to sit outdoors to enjoy the lil winter sun and get some good lighting for my images, and it worked well.
This place gives you the Christmas vibes and the female DJ makes it so much better.

Mmm, yes in Japan but we didn’t fly to Japan, I mean’t something else 😉, continue reading to see what I meant…. Japan is now a taxi ride away with Taikun’s new winter party brunch. Say konichiwa to Tokyo at The Tokyo Brunch located at Taikun at Vida Hotel in Downtown Dubai!
Set in the beautiful garden area of the Taikun restaurant, Tokyo brunch is one of the happening brunches in Dubai. The Tokyo brunch happens every Friday from 12-4 PM and offers a wide variety of Japanese street food, yakitori, unlimited sushi, and bottomless drinks. The reception area of the Taikun is beautifully decorated with hanging plants and colorful pots. The staff dressed like geishas welcomes you with a traditional Japanese “Konichiwa” and lead you to your table in the seating area.
Went in to try the Tokyo brunch. Loved the setup, spread and ambiance. The staff was super cool and the dancers were entertaining. The sushi was outstanding and also was the bbq. The set menu was also tasty. Loved everything. Highly recommended.
Perfect date night spot. They have some amazing cocktails. The terrace serves shisha which has no coolers so would be nicer for better weather! Wasabi prawns and spicy tuna rolls are my fav!

It was a delightful experience at @taikundubai .The food was absolutely delicious and there were variety of options in the menu. I have tried Pan Asian food at many places and Taikun undoubtedly serves exceptionally tasty food

𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀: These shrimps were oh so amazing. They were all cooked to perfection and tasted great. I really loved the spicy mayo sauce, it made all the difference to shrimps flavor

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘄:It was an excellent chicken dish served in a stylish bowl. The dressing was done with cashews and vegetables. It complemented the noodles well.
𝗛𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻: I’m glad I opted for this BBQ item. The chicken was tender and tasty. The presentation was again excellent. Chicken was served on a thin plate with pieces of lemon.
I had one of their signature Mocktails, “𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲”. It was a refreshing drink made up of Mango juice, Raspberry Syrup, Apple juice & Saga Leaves
I also tried one of their Milkshakes, “𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀” that comprised of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, vanilla syrup and milk. It was quite heavy but an absolute treat
Although I was completely full by the end but the staff recommended their famous dessert called “𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘂𝘅” so I thought to give it a try. The presentation was impressive. As the water was poured on the leaves, it gave a nice smoky effect. It was soft like mousse and very light. It had a distinct taste that made it special. It was made up of Vanilla and Mango, the combination that can never go wrong. It tasted heavenly.

I brought my family here at Taikun when they visited Dubai and with no regrets, we really enjoyed the night! Our server, Elmer, was very helpful and polite. Ambiance in their garden is very relaxing as we are feeling the breeze of cold March. We love Japanese cuisine, and for us food was superb and Pink Lemonade is fashionably refreshing. I’ll definitely come back and bring my friends next time.

Service: 5/5. Our server had great recommendations and anticipated needs, as well as making sure we had enough time to eat before we had to leave.

Ambiance and decoration is great, food was good, we shared the steam duck buns, the yellowtail and truffle roll and the Aburi salmon roll -both were delish- we also had the beef fried rice, dynamite shrimp tempura, tuna on crispy rice and assorted dumplings (my fav was the black truffle & veal) we will definitely will keep coming back.
The place offers great options of cocktails, plus they're vegan and vegetarian friendly, the staff were super friendly and helpful, food is fresh and tasty, the seating area is amazing as well, amazing for groups.

This place is awesome. Potentially more awesomer than the highly overpriced Japanese place in the DIFC. I took a heavily pregnant Mrs Random there for her birthday.
But wait... why the name change? I liked Toko. Has the restaurant changed or just the name?? Can I still get that avocado thing that comes served in a ball of fire? (by the way, don't order that it's slightly too rich). Great selection of meat dishes (important as I don't eat fish), nice service and the outside area rocks. Sadly suffers from the Dubai-No-Atmosphere-in-Resturant syndrome but otherwise, it is great.
I had the hot Sake which I loved... although this being Dubai it was served in a thimble and not a decent sized glass. Despite sake-gate I genuinely love this place and with so many other overpriced restaurants in downtown to try I doubt I'll come back.
Visited this beautiful place on a Wednesday for Ladies’ night. They had quite a good variety of drinks and sheesha to offer. For food, we ordered the dynamite prawns (a must try), chicken satay dumplings and vegetable dumplings. The food tasted good, but the quantity made it seem overpriced. What I was impressed the most with was their service. They were willing to offer us free mocktails for ladies’ night since two of us don’t drink, which most places generally don't.
Love the food and ambience here. An eclectic menu featuring a lot more than sushi. The quality of the food is fantastic and the desserts don’t disappoint either. A must try if you’re after good Japanese or Pan Asian food.

Favorite place of the entire family - go to place in most occasions. Food options are limited but the taste is amazing specially the dimsums, bao, etc. So are the cocktails. The best resource of this place are the staffs who are so welcoming and friendly that worth spending an evening in ToKo. Haven’t tried the brunch but looking forward to soon.

Very nice restaurant, cosy, you can easily talk and listen. Nice music, warm athmosphere. I enjoyed the dim sum and sushi were tasty. I recommend this place if you look for cosy evening. Ideal for couples or friends .
Surprisingly good cost performance at business lunch. Unlimited dim sum, rice, noodle and even desert. Chicken xiao long baos were really authentic which are good enough to make you feel repeating ordering. Fusion of Asian interior and modernized design inside are also attractive point of this restaurant.
Went there on a Wednesday. Was initially disappointed to know they didn’t provide us a table at the Gardens as requested but after few minutes the receptionist got us a table. The ambience is really chilled with fairy lights a deck surrounded by plants everywhere. Food was great and Ashai draught beer was a perfect combination. Will be definitely go there soon!

Great tasting menu with loads of different flavors. (Make sure to have an appetite). The ambience of the place is nice and the bar at the front of the venue as well.

This remains one of my favourite spots in Downtown. Their ladies night (I believe Wednesday) is quite generous but warning that it gets very full. I’m more of a fan of Toko on a non-ladies night day. The food is absolutely phenomenal - from the sushi to the dumplings to literally everything we order. It’s also nice that they have shisha and drinks so it caters to everyone in your group of friends. Highly recommended for a night out.

We had the dynamite shrimps (crispy and creamy with a hint of wasabi), beef teriyaka (tender and delicious) and Aku Chicken - basically roasted chicken in a lightly spicy tangy sauce with a bit of zucchini - the chicken was tender and the dish was flavorful. The portions are generally on the modest side so one dish is good for one person; the chicken dish was bigger than the others. Rice is separate and has to be ordered as a side.
Good food and a nice setting outdoors if the weather permits. Wanted to have a sheesha but wife was too sleepy to hang around for it :(

Far to often when dining Asian cuisine the menu has way to much on it which makes the decision process stressful.
However, Toko has it right. Not too little but not too much. Great selection from Sushi to fusion tacos, lovely night spent with my uncle and eating partner Dishante P.
The perk of Toko is that it is not within the Hotel Vida. It’s part of property but is accessed from the Boulevard. My friends and I found the appetizers and dim-sum items to be mouth-watering and delicious! The sushi rolls were average unfortunately. The service was also average. The interior design and decoration were fantastic! If you want a great meal - gather some friends and order many of the small plates and appetizers to share. There’s lots of options to satisfy everyone.
The best menu offer of food I have come across in Dubai. The salmon pizza I don’t think the taste buds will forget in a long time... one of my fav hang out I love there home made whisky 🥃
Great ambience for a Thursday night hangout. Slightly pricey and always crowded so make sure you have a reservation prior else you will be seated at the bar tables. They have a dining area as well as the drinking area. Well interior decorated and they have parking as well at the hotel.

This is the best Japanese Restaurent in Dubai! Visit this restaurant less than 10 times now. So far no complaint about the food. Excellent food & serve. The ambience and decor is fantastic! Also the music! Can’t complaint! That sushi on the picture is my favorite! Always order that when I having dinner or lunch there!
I really did enjoy the ambience both indoor as well as the outdoor, its a very chill place to go and have a nice time with your friends & enjoy your meal together, especially during winter.
Honestly though for the price the food is quite average, I wouldn't say that it was one of the best meals I've had but it was tasty.
Went to Toko for our wedding anniversary and it was great the food was really good ended up taking takeaway back home our waiter Russel was awesome well done will defo come back
Sushi and shisha in one place - need I say more? Great food, great ambience. I recommend going in the winter to sit in their outdoor terrace. They also do a good business lunch.
Asian themed restaurant and bar. Great ambience and the food selection is great, although quite a task going through pages and pages of the menu. My favourites are wagyu on burnt rice, black truffle and veal dumpling, pan fried coriander and prawn, Chilean seabass, Yellowtail and Truffle roll and assorted mochi ice cream. Have a great selection of drinks as well. Will definitely visit again to go through more of the pages on the menu.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !! Excellent food and great atmosphere! I love that they have a lot of delicious items on the menu! My favorites are the grilled asparagus, the Vietnamese roll (although it has raw fish but I LOVE the taste!) and their AMAZING beef tacos! I ordered another portion because it was so delicious! Call ahead and book one of the cabanas because the seating is just soooo lovely and cozy! The restaurant decor is also fantastic, I just LOVE the blue vases around the entrance with those amazing pink flowers. DEFINITELY coming back here!

Been to this place with the ladies of my fam on a ladies night just to accompany ‘em. Let’s be honest, the places is fab! The interiors are modern yet have small (Asian) traditionally elements. This place is huge, I mean HUGEEEE!
Coming to the drinks , the ladies had a small selection including 2 cocktails; rum based with passion fruit flavor (decent) and a vodka based cucumber and mint drink (not so great at taste). The selection also had a choice of white wine, red wine and sparkling wine (really good). I ordered a rum based drink which was more or less like a mojito but had a lemon grass taste.
All in all, full marks to the interior, service could have been better and the cocktails for the ladies could really have some alcohol in them 😉

They have the perfect ambience to relax and chill with with friends.
Me and friends basically visited for some drinks.
Had their pink lemonade which was basically a non- alcoholic drink and had some wine that includes white wine, red wine and sparkling wine.
Surely a next visit to try out their food.
We had dinner on a Thursday night, and the restaurant wasn't full. You only need to book a table in ladies night on Wednesday.
We ordered steamed duck buns, and I must say that this is the first positive experience of ordering duck in Dubai.
Ambience and atmosphere are Asian and oriental. There are nice outdoor canopies with air-conditioned areas and comfortable seats.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The food was fresh, especially the sushi and sashimi platter, properly prepared and a great value for the price. I highly recommend it. We also had Shrimp & Crab Dumplings, Chicken & Shrimp Dumplings, and Truffle Duck. For the main course we had Korean lamb chops, Teriyaki beef, and Miso Marinated Black cod. Perfect with Beef rice, and Seafood rice. We had two desserts as well, we had Chocolate fondant, and Yuzu cheesecake with Strawberry sorbet. Our server the filipino guy Russell was very friendly and took good care of us. Will definitely be back!

I had the best evening at Taikun today. It actually started as soon as I stepped foot into the hotel as the staff gently guided me towards the entrance of the restaurant. From the moment I was in, I was then well taken care of and treated to a wonderful time. The performance shows were very entertaining, the food was delicious and most importantly my waiter Ayman made sure I was thoroughly enjoying myself. “My boyfriend out of town” night is a unique experience in Dubai. The show you have next to your dinner is very entertaining. The place is nice. Tasty/quality meals with nice presentation.

Tolles Ambiente und sehr zentral. Viele Parkplätze sind im Parkhaus in der Nähe vorhanden. Das Essen hat klasse geschmeckt, man konnte die extrem gute Qualität der Zutaten rausschmecken. Während des Essens gab es sehr gute Shows mit Tänzern, Tänzerinnen und Sängerin.
Auf jeden Fall ein tolles Erlebnis, mit qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Gerichten und toller Show. Wir kommen wieder.
