This resturant @buqtair_jumeira serves the best seafood. All the variety of fish and shrimps are available fresh from sea.
And they taste really great. With chutney and arabic bread its a complete treat.
Simple place with Full of tourists and residents, so tasty fish and shrimps . We are coming often , always queue ))) which is great😅 means good is amazing

Buqtair is one of my favv in Dubai when it comes to sea food !! There is not a variety to choose they have limited options but it is both tasty and fresh !!
Would give a +1 to the location.
Better to visit this place during good weather . They have both inside/outside seating arrangements. I liked the one outside it has more space and less noise !!

One of the best sea food restaurants I’ve ever visited!
Lately I’ve been homesick and missing my moms fried fish & fish curry a bit too much. So I’ve been hunting for a restaurant that serves delicious seafood if not as good as my moms, atleast close to it as I’m very skeptical when it comes to eating seafood apart from my moms. We’ve heard a lot about this place so I was like... why not just give it a try to see what’s the big fuss about it.
Firstly, I was taken aback with how crowded the restaurant was. The seats were all taken and there was a looooong queue waiting to place their order. When it was our turn, I was stunned to see how big the fishes were. And how affordable!!! One fish could be shared amongst three people perfectly.
There were three types of fishes and we went for 2 huge hamoors and the shrimps. You could choose the quantity and the weight as per your preference. The fishes were fresh and they fry them as soon as you place your order. They are served with ghee rice, paratha and fish curry.
It was a feast for the kings! So simple and comforting, yet so delicious! The curry was the star and the meal would have been incomplete without it. The shrimps were fried to perfection and complimented the curry a lot. The fish on the other hand, was huge and so meaty! The paratha was also so delicious. Everything was top notch and worth visiting.
I definitely see myself coming to this place once or twice a month. Definitely worth your time, money, and tummy! 😋

First, wait in the queue to pick up your fish, they will weigh and you pay!! Once ur done!!
So now you can pick up a table to seat!! They will serve you. The fishes are fresh and well marinated. Prawns are too good to try!!

Found out about this place from my colleagues and wanted to try it out.. but it is so crowded in the weekends with a waiting time of more than 30 mins... weekdays is much better.. they serve mainly fried seafood and it is priced according to the weight.. we can select the fish that we want from the display.. fish is really fresh and with tasty masala... really a good experience for seafood lovers... Recommended to go on weekdays..
Read very good reviews on this restaurant and also from our friends . Had been here for dinner, the place was too crowded so decided to take takeaway. We ordered for hammour fried fish and fried prawns. Had to wait nearly 45mins to get it. The fish had a unique taste, it was fried to perfection. Fried prawns were mindblowing. Must say totally worth the wait. Fish and prawns were so fresh, taste of both were evident of it.
Here we went for our moms bday where we ordered shehri fish and deep fried shrimp with malbari paratha wow excellent! the food which we had was superb I know it was deep fried and oily but taste was unbelievable . I really enjoyed my dinner . There is one thing that you have to wait for the order for around 45 mins it is packed but really it was worth it . Service was good .
A lot of people are dining in which says a lot about their food. Their 2 dish menu is their unique selling position and you'll be satisfied. We always come back. They have ice cream or tea too. Their drinks are not overpriced. You can take a stroll by the beach after dining in. And ohhhh don't forget to get their spicy curry sauce.
The prawns are just tender and packed with flavour. Juicy and delicious. The fish was good too. The paratha and curry were very good too. You’ll find people of more than a dozen nationalities! It’s pretty popular and has a really unique concept. It’s worth visiting during the winters for the outside seating and eating experience.

Attention Sea food lovers. Here's the place just for you. Come and try their Shrimp and Fry Fish, I bet, you'll fall in love with the taste and you will keep coming here.
Ambience: It's basic with table, chairs, yellow painted walls, no fancy decor. They have an inside and outside seating. Restaurant is big enough to accommodate good amount of people.
Food: It is heavenly. The prawns are delicious and fish Fry is enticing.They have just five items in their menu, fish, prawns, curry, rice and kerala parotta.
I had ordered both Prawns and Shehri fried fish with Kerala parotta and curry. Kerala parotta was crisp and soft, lighter in eating, doesn't feel heavy. Curry was tangy, loved it.
They have a different way of ordering food. First you get there, go to counter, ask for choice of fish/prawns, get it weighed and collect your receipt/token. Next comes the alluring wait to receive the food. You may have to wait up to 45 mins to get your food on table on a busy day. But in the end food is worth the wait. Once your token is called, you'll be provided table to eat at and you can order rice and parotta.
Service: Decent service. Staffs were friendly and courteous.
Price: it's slightly pricey l, but worth every penny.
I would definitely visit the place again.

Undoubtedly one of the best fish ive tried. We ordered a sherry and oh my god. The taste of the freshly cooked fish along with the rice and curry was just flawless. The crowd is decent. Service is quick. View is breathtaking. Really loved the food. Will definitely come back with my family again.

Nice fresh sea food with outdoor seating. A good place to take your guests. Their Hamour, Sheri and prawns are very delicious. And the combination with kerala porotta and fish curry is awesome. Highly recommended. Pls take cash as they don’t accept cards. And pls go with ample time in hand, it’s always crowded in winter. After that consider taking a stroll in the jumeirah beach rubberized track to burn all the calories.
Heard rave reviews from my mates about this restaurant and decided to give it a visit to find out what all the fuss was about and it certainly didn’t disappoint us. Ordered a big Sheri and half kg fried prawns. Both of them were so delicious even though they were a lil bit spicy for our taste buds. It was worth the visit. Do not expect the ambience to be great though.
It is good to visit once. They offer only 3 main dishes. The fish and prawns are marinated the Indian way, very delicious. You can get sides of sauce and rice. Although the place is considered simple and plain but it is not cheap. A hot spot for tourists by the harbour.

A must must visit place for all fish lovers.Their fried fish served here has their signature masala marinated in them! It’s served with a combination of fish curry and kerala porotta which is soo scrumptious! We had also tried their shrimps but wasn’t great as expected! The prices are pretty good compared to the size of the fish and quantity served! Definitely a high recommended one! 😍

The location of this restaurant is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the delicious food with cool breeze coming from sea.
They serve by weight, you can choose fish or prawns along with rice or khubus.
I would say you will not feel heavy after eating the food. It's tasty and light on stomach.

Had the best experience of having seafood ..... grilled prawns and deep fried fish was extremely good very fresh crisp and rich in flavor .... I can’t get enough of it only drawback is restaurant has very few options only prawns and Sherri grilled and sides they have paratha ,rice and fish curry .... at first you will be disappointed with less options but when the food arrives you will go home well fed with all smiles on your face ..... I suggest it worth going and very pocket friendly 150 for 4 people what more do you want that too freshly caught fish

I had amazing experience dining in this restaurant,tables are just next to water you can order your fresh fish mainly 3 types, I recommend the fried Sheri one they serve it full of different spices you will enjoy each bite of it , you can order rice and curry as will, shrimp was average taste, Excellent price compared to portion and other restaurants, highly recommended.

Super dope spicy prawns 🦐 and served with the coconut curry and rice. This combo was sublime and leaves you wanting more. Very consistent over the years, even though it’s been revamped at the fisherman’s harbor the decor and ambience still very low key and better enjoyed though the winter months sat outside by the marina etc it’s dope and delicious...

Great authentic restaurant close to the harbour, limited menu available but all is tasty and well priced. I always bring our visiting guests there.
The place is always crowded during the weekend and standing in the que for your turn is definitely worth it when you get to see your order being served finally. Their service is pretty much good and they try their best to ensure that the service time is well controlled. We ordered a sherry fish fry and prawns and it was lip smacking. This with a combination of parotta and ghee rice with some fish curry is simply amazing. Takes you back to the traditional food you have back home (south Indians can relate to this) overall a good experience. Only wish that they do something about the ambience as sitting outside especially during summers ruins the food mood and Indoors is always full.
I haven’t tasted better masala prawns in my life ! Served with ghee rice (during lunch) and parota (during dinner), the simple preparation of masala prawns is so mind blowing, that I keep longing for more as soon as I’m back home. The ambience is very basic and the menu is very minimalistic, yet the food is outrageously delicious !! It’s a place where I see people from all walks of life come in to stand patiently in endless queues to order their food and then savor their food in peace. Kudos !!
It's exactly what I heard or read about. The food is worth the money that u spend. The quality and taste of food is very malabari. So if u like malabari food, this is ur place.
For seafood lover especially prawns this place to be must must visited. Little bit expensive but fresh and mouthwatering and so much tasty and delicious. Fried Fish is also so tasty. Along with rice and lentils (daal).

I have been hearing about the seafood served at this place to be one of the best in dubai from quite a few friends . And I finally decided I should visit it . It’s a very basic and simple menu . The fish and prawns are fresh and you get to pick and choose which they cook it and serve it to you. It takes a while to be cooked, however the wait it worth it. And also FYI this place is QUITE busy and crowded .
Try this place close to Jumaeirah in Dubai. The joint is on the sea and very close to the Burj al Arab. Very basic place serving fish and prawns. No frills restaurants. The day we visited they had only one variety of fish and prawns. Both were deep fried. Excellent fish at a reasonable price. Be ready to wait and share tables as the place is very crowded.
The sheri fish and the curry sauce is to die for. The shrimp was okay as well I’m not just a big fan of it. During the winter season it’ll surely be crowded so you have to come early at least to secure a table.
Location is good as it is a few minutes walk away from the jumeirah public beach where you can view the burj al arab’s majestic beauty.
An ultimate Seafood food joint in Dubai!
I have visited this place so many times just to eat fresh Prawns / shrimps along with kerala porotta (Indian bread) . The food quality is ultimate. However the restaurant is small, they have provided a seating area outside. The restaurant is clean and maintained. I usually visited with group of friends. Since they provide full fish fry, I recommend either group or 2-3 people at least. This is a place for real seafood lovers. The food preparations takes bit longer than other restaurants because they start cooking after our selection of fish varieties. But it's a worth waiting time for such a delicious one. It is located near umm Sequim Park. Highly recommended!!
Been here a couple of times on weekends. Very crowded, which explains restaurants fame. Lot of varieties of sea foods to choose from. Got to wait in a long queue in weekends to get to the food counter to select fishes. Nice place and outdoor seating.
for the first time in my life i had gheerice with fish curry and its sooo yummy😋😋😋hamour fry and prawn fry were also tasty.the best place for seafood lovers.feel free to call them to know about their timing when you plan to go there😊
The place is well located right next to the Arabian Sea, was extremely crowded for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The food tasted flawless. Both prawns and the fish tasted very fresh. Their service is quick and makes for a hearty malabari meal

Finally visited this place today. We had the prawn, Sheri fish fry, rice and curry. The prawn was really yummy. The fried fish was good when it was hot. The food took some time to come probably cause we went there at 11:30 AM. My only issue with this place is the fact that they don’t have someone to seat you in an organised way during peak hours. You have people standing by your table watching you eat so that they can grab the table the minute you finish. It wouldn’t take much for them to arrange for one person to take down names and call people when the table is ready. Ambience and service can be overlooked for their yummy food. Will visit again 👍🏽

Bu Qtair is a famous, popular, yet hidden gem located in Jumeirah. Those who live in the city will know it but tourists will most likely not because it is not in a touristy area. The fish served here caught on a daily basis which meant that quality is exceptional. The prices are also affordable which means you can order everything you like.
Perfect choice for Fish lovers . Nice concept of serving fish .. Their menu is very limited but what they serving is delicious .. I really liked that Fish .. I had ordered Hummour fish , Fried prawns , fish curry , porotta ( Paratha ) .. Fish was the best n number 1 .. Perfectly cooked n well balanced with spices .. I was confused whether it is grilled or fried .. Paratha was awesome with curry .. Curry was excellent with typical south indian taste Sour n Spicy .. Loved it .. Prawns were ok ok .. Too much oily n hard to chew .. Overall perfect end to weekend ..

Well I was there at weekend.. no doubt we had to wait for a long time ..probably we waited for an hour.. I was super duper hungry.. but the wait was worth .. the food was amazing.. fish was perfectly fried crisp from outside, soft and juicy from inside.. The preparation of fish is not very heavy ..it’s light and delicious.. It’s a must try.

It is a local and cheap restaurant with ses wiew. First we choosed a fish there are small and big ones. THan we choosed shrimps it is with souce. Took rice with curry souse. After you order you have to wait 30 min for cooking. One medium size fish 200 Gr shrimps and 1 rice was enough for 3 people with water it costs only 100 aed. All sea products were deep fried. Leave a Side your hygiene awareness and enjoy local Delicious foods.

مطعم بحري شعبي .. لذيذ لذيذ لذيذ.. من المطاعم اللي لازم تجربها اذا رحت دبي.. مافيه منيو .. الاطباق محدده وهي سمك و روبيان فريش متبل ومعروض قدامك تختار اللي تبي ويقلونه لك .. يقدم مع الرز وخبز البراتا وصالونه .. وبعد ماتخلص فيه ثلاجة ايسكريم حلي بعدها وياسلام احلى غدوة او عشوة .. بس ملاحظة مهمة الحساب كاش .. فأعملوا حسابكم يكون معاكم كاش..
