This hidden gem is by far one of the best Steakhouses in Dubai. We’ve enjoyed different cuts of steak here and each one melts in your mouth. Don’t forget to order at least one item from every section of the menu; you will not be disappointed. The service is top notch and the ambiance is so romantically relaxed. Every visit makes me want to return again and again. Thank you to all the kind staff here :) we appreciate you.
Absolutely stunning restaurant with amazing food, drink and ambiance. We have been here a few times and will come back time and time again!
The staff were great ! However for 2 people easy to expensive AED 600 !!! A price of one steak 320 gram at AED 340 is absurd !
Been there a couple of times now and find it just as delicious every single time. Highly recommended!
I had the best fine dining experience. Excellent customer service. Succulent steak. Lots of complementaries. Love the food and the ambiance! Will definitely recommend
Atmosphere of this place is second to none! As a steak house, there are a series of good ones but this steak house is one of best undoubtedly. Needless to say, steaks tasted awesome!
Went to the La Perle show for our 23rd wedding anniversary and since restaurant was in the same complex and due to its excellent reviews I booked a table for 4. To say the least the restaurant did not disappoint. The service was excellent. Pramod and Nakul very knowledgeable and provided some good recommendations. My son and I had the steaks and I can tell you that this was probably the best steaks we ever had. It was juicy and succulent and cooked just right (medium well is the way to go) and well worth the money. The restaurant is upmarket but worth it. The only disappointment was the fish that my wife ordered. It was too salty and she gave up half way thru. But overall a great finish on our special day.
One of the best steak houses in Dubai along with a very good service, highly recommended. Special thanks to Nakul/Pramod for their excellent service.
The steak was fabulous; the soup of the day by chef Santosh was even more fabulous. We were served by a wonderful man named Promod and taken great care of by the manager Nakul. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
We were staying at the Habtoor Palace and decided to have our dinner here at the World Cut Steakhouse. We opted for the black truffle fritters, grilled prawns, lamp chops, steak and caesar salad. We were provided with complementary buns with butter, the buns were pillowy soft. So delicious.
The black truffles were amazing! Flavour bomb! The grilled prawns were cooked absolutely to perfection. The caesar salad was too die for, crispy and the amount of cheese🤤 My friends had the steak and lamp chop and said it totally lived upto it. Delicious food and great service!
Simply the best place! It has everything - beautiful singer and atmosphere and the most delicious food - the tenderloin is so juicy and lets not talk about how great is the salted caramel sundae 🤤
This award winning steakhouse in Dubai should be on top of every big steak eater’s bucket list. The ambiance is just perfect for a romantic dinner. A freshly baked bread that looks like a muffin was first served, followed by the Shrimp Cerviche, Black Truffle Fritters and the Grilled Black Pepper Octopus which is a bit spicy. Before serving the mains, they showed us a box filled with different kinds of steak knives, and also presented us various sauces and mustards. The 1.4 kg Tomahawk was wheeled to our table by Thor, the manager, who also cut and do the plating. The steak was of the best quality, juicy, tender and very tasty. The Potato Gratin, Grilled Asparagus, steak sauce and honey mustard were the perfect accompaniment with this steak. The Raspberry Pavlova with sherbet was a dessert you’ll get to heaven. It was sooo good. Foods here maybe a bit pricey, but trust us, it’s really worth it.
This is the best steakhouse in Dubai!
we were greeted by pleasant and attentive staff, we ordered the beef carpaccio and the fois gras for starters.. the carpaccio comes with a center of beef tartare..what a pleasant surprise I was wondering where is the tartare on the menu. both starters were fresh and delicious. The house bread is really delicious buttery and melts in the mouth. we had the rib eye with bone and the rib eye without for mains.. both were just perfect. Special thanks to Thor the manager who came to greet us at our table and check if we were all happy.. all in all I love the place and will be going back again and again
Good food, nice place, but pricey for what it was.
Habtoor Palace (formerly the St. Regis) looks fantastic and has been fit out to super standard - so being there feels special. But aside from terrible name (World Cut Steakhouse? I’m not sure if the play on World Cup was intentional, but in my mind when i hear the name I don’t think fine dining) the beverages were good and not stupidly priced and the service was professional and attentive. My wife and I were there for ‘Soul Night’ but as the band were taking requests, there wasn’t a lot of Soul Music played. There isn’t a great deal of choice of steaks and what they have is all pretty pricey - so overall, though I had a very nice meal and great service, the value was average.
Visited world cut steakhouse (formerly known as J&G steakhouse) for dinner. The place is located in the luxurious Al Habtoor palace by SZR (Sheik Zayed Road). As stated on their Instagram page the offer “premium quality meats, sophisticated menu selection and redefined service”.
We arrived at the restaurant at 9:00 pm sharp, where we weren’t greeted by anyone and there wasn’t anyone to help us find our table, I had to walk in and find a member of staff to tell them that we had a reservation.
Finally we sat down. We got our menus and decided on what to order.
Prior to having our appetizers, we were presented by freshly baked bread and a raw tuna amuse-bouches which took a long time to get to our table.
To start we went for the daily oysters; which weren’t to my liking didn’t feel that they were really that fresh, the black truffle fritters were good but they would have been better if they weren’t cold and they crispy baby squid with basil salt and lemon dip which was overcooked and extremely crunchy.
For my main course I ordered a medium Australian black onyx 380-gram rib eye which was under cooked; also we were presented by different steak knives to choose from for our steaks and unfortunately mine wasn’t that sharp so I had a difficult time in cutting my steak too.
For the side orders went for the French fries, the potato gratin which surprisingly wasn’t that heavy and the truffle mac and cheese. The sides were great and perfect accompaniment with the undercooked steak.
I was really looking forward to dining in world cut steak house and having a great experience, but ended up thinking otherwise. I would like to the better service and an improvement in the overall quality of the dining experience there.
Oh the food!!! I'm going to sleep a happy person today!! totally made my day! ... and coming to the end of a tiring week, the Live Music was just perfect... definitely coming back to J&G!! Food+Music=Heaven!
Very friendly staff, delicious steak and the live band so far the best ive listened to in Dubai over the years i have lived here. I recommend all to go check them out on a thursday when they have the "soul night" event going on. Keep up the good vibes 🙂
For me 100% this is the best steakhouse in Dubai .. first we ordered Caesar salad and fried Calamari as starters and the big meal as main course ( Tomahowk ) ...It was very tasty, delicious and mouthwatering ... Its for 2 persons and the quantity more than enough .. Must try
High quality food and great service.
Thank you J&G
Food is excellent. Big plus is the treatment of the staff from the moment you walk in and out.
Ambiance is fantastic. Service is fabulous you don't usually get this very often. If you big meat eater must visit then.
Well what can I say fellas
One of the better Steakhouses in DXB
Funny location to find cause of excessive building works
St Regis ...lovely
The bar area and the restaurant are classy
Such a great experience @jgsteakhousedubai @stregisdubai
High quality food and great service.
Loved the black pepper octopus
I think its one of the best if not the best steak houses in dubai
Best steakhouse hands down in Dubai. Very chic and old school vibe. I love the staff and the location. I will always go back for an excellent steak :-)
While the food is of the highest standard and the staff are as friendly as any in town, the atmosphere loses charm given the high ceilings and vast spaces and you'll have to save for a couple weeks before going there because its going to take a bite out of your pocket.
Was searching for a good steakhouse and came across J&G at St. Regis. We had several good appetizers and drinks. The star of the evening was the 1.5kg tomahawk, cut and served in front of us. We were also asked to choose our knife according to grip and sharpness. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with excellent sides such as spinach dip. The dessert was very good and it’s worth mentioning that the restaurant is a winner of several awards!
All the people were very friendly and very nice environment for a pleasant family dining or couple dining -
Steak was correctly prepared according
Ordered medium and medium well both were perfect
Overall it was lovely experience
My rating goes like this
Service 5/5
Food 4.5/5
Presentation 4.5/5
OVERALL 4.5/5
Finest steakhouse in dubai probably with the best and widest alcohol and wine collection you might find anywhere in dubai probably !
Staff is brilliant , hospitable , cooperative.
And as in any STR it's a truly luxurious experience to dine in here !
Excellent service ,nice music , fresh food, friendly staff.
The octopus was delicious little spicy because of the black paper.
The fish was wonderful although the restaurant famous for steak.
Order baby crispy calamari (4), main order Queensland tenderloin (4.5) and halibut (4), sides Mac and chess, potato. Drink order passion mojito juice
It's one of the best steak restaurants , The service excellent, stuff friendly and ambiance very nice .
We had wonderful dinner experience at this great steakhouse. It is a little Gem and one of the nicest steaks in Dubai.
We ordered the Queensland ribeye (medium) and tenderloin (medium/rare) and the steaks were cooked beautifully. The array of sauces were a nice added touch.
Finally we had the salted caramel sundae which was one of the best desserts I had in Dubai, highly recommend it.
The Manager, Thor was very helpful and had great recommendations.
We will definitely be going back.
I don't know about other people but the steak here was absolutely amazing and the way they presented our dish was very Unique , service was also not bad but the place was lacking something , it didn't give the feeling of steak house ,more of feeling of anxiety and depression or maybe its just me lol.
Came here for dinner,
Ordered foie gras(5), main ( master kobe steak (5) and the queensland tenderlion(5)) sides were mac and cheese and potatoe.
One the best steaks here and also very food foie gras.
Service were very good.
Staff were friendly and attentive

Staying in st Regis DUBAI and after a big gym workout was in need of serious food. The staff were welcoming, super accommodating and really made it a great experience. Had the waygu burger w fries and peas w three different hot mustards from their mustard trolley. Was tasty and I managed to eat all of it. The staff also gave me complimentary hot brioche bread dusted w salt and their signature starter risotto balls while I waited. Was visiting that evening as a woman on my own and felt very comfortable there. 👍👍👍👍👍
Had a fabulous time.. and found ourselves coming back for more!! In a city with so many great food options... Emmanuel's ginger margaritas are to die for! Huge shout out to the team of Thor, Emmanuel and Nakul... ! Made our visit even more memorable! Cheers!

16/52 - J&G Restaurant at St. Regis Dubai Al Habtoor City
My Review:
Rating - 10/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Avail Entertainer - YES
Date - 27th April 2017
And here we thought JW Steakhouse is the best steakhouse in UAE... we think we found its rival 😅
Joining us is our very good friends, the beautiful couple Adam and Amy, the travel bloggers of "The Wright Route"
It was a fantastic journey throughout, from the welcoming to our appetizers to the steaks till our satisfied stuffed bellies leaving St. Regis 😂
It may be a bit pricy but it's SOOOOO worth it! And hey you can use the Entertainer Voucher so yay.
The mark of excellence is when it is delivered effortlessly. When I heard the Dubai St Regis was going to be a partnership with the iconic Mr Khalaf Al Habtoor, I counted down until the day I would first visit the property. With my preference for red meat, this naturally happened with a night out at J&G. Have been to their other Dubai location previously so all round the expectations were high. There was no disappointment. BTW, this rating is based on multiple visits thus far, my own personal prerequisite for five stars. Food is exquisite, some of the best steaks in town. I prefer the Australia onyx valley Ribeye since I like a fatter more favourite cut but the striploin is also excellent. Top top quality meat, so much so that no toothpicks will be required! For sides I prefer the smashed potatoes or asparagus. Beware of the astoundingly good brioche they will offer you before your meal, it is a wonderful balance of sweet and salt but may impact your ability to do justice to the rest of the menu! My fave dessert is the baked Alaska. Service is crisp and attentive, without the poncy fine dining stiffness at many Dubai poseur joints. Make no mistake though, this won't be a cheap night out, just a very comfortable and enjoyable one. The setting is spectacular. The hotel drips old world class and elegance and the restaurant itself is well laid out in sections. I loved the experience of selecting my own knife, and the various sauces and mustard. They have tomahawk night on Thursday which I have still to enjoy, and a wonderful jazz night on Fridays with a two person singer/saxophonist to keep things lively. Atmosphere has been lovely each time we visited. Once you work out the access to the property the first time, you'll be glad you did.
My wife and I went to J&G for their Tomohawk special. 850AED for a 1.4kg Tomohawk steak, two sides, starter and desert, bottle of wine deal.
The steak was very nice, as was the other food. The only complaint, and I am being a little picky here, was that the sides were both very heavy - potato gratin and mac cheese.. The steak would have been enjoyed a lot more with a crisp salad, or something else light. I did speak with the F&B team, who hopefully will take this on board.
That being said, the service here was fantastic, certainly one of the best in Dubai, which can very often be lacking in this area. the Waiter and Sommelier were both very friendly and helpful. We were asked if we were ready for the next course, and plates were only cleared when we both finished.
A gilded stairway to carnivore heaven
There is no dearth of steakhouses in Dubai. Almost all restaurants and some malls do boast licensed steakhouses and decent cuts of meat. There are very few though which are cut above the rest (no pun intended). I headed to J &G steakhouse last week to figure out which category it belonged to.
Decor
I loved the gold gilded stairway that led us to J&G Steakhouse. Tastefully decorated as a steakhouse should be with plush , dark brown interiors, minimalist floral arrangements and extremely comfortable seating, J&G definitely catches your attention as you walk in.
Staff
We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our wait staff Louel (i think his name was) from South Africa was delight. He was knowledgeable and very attentive. I however could not say the same about the floor manager who from where i was standing looked like only greeted Caucasians. He came to our table once to offer us a selection J&G sauces for our steak, was abrupt and seemed very displeased when we didnt like what was offered. I did not note down his name but he surely needs a lesson or two in manners and well hospitality considering the industry he works in. He probably could take lessons from his wait staff.
Food
Like any other steakhouse, J & G had a limited menu offering a decent selection of appetizers, soups, salads and entrees. The steak of choice was the Queensland AACo Beef which was exclusively for St Regis. They also had a selection of USDA Prime, Australian Black Onyx, Kobe , Wagyu and so on. The pricing was similar to any steakhouse of this stature with grilled meats ranging from AED 200 to AED 400 depending on the cut and brand.

JGs is quite a luxurious and elegant restaurant. I must say I did enjoy my overall experience. The bartender and drinks were amazing and you don't have to worry about the quantity of alcohol because quite generous and tasty! The staff and waiters are superb absolutely helpful, kind and very very welcoming and knowledgeable. Unfortunately I did have two concerns with the restaurant, the first being with the quality of the meat, which I did not find to be worth the value or the high price tag. The second was the high price tag. Maybe I'm the future it will get better.
Atmosphere and service and attentiveness from staff is fantastic!! Food wise: some were very good, some average.
Excellent: the master Kobe beer - ordered it at medium and was cooked perfectly. Meat was very tender and melt in your mouth. I also like the mac and cheese truffle.
Average: Warm chocolate fondant was very good - oozing chocolate as u cut into it. Would have preferred a "stronger" taste ice cream to complement the chocolate. Felt like eating ice with the chocolate fondant
Could be better: crispy calamari - had better batter in other places. Alaska bomb: presentation was very good. Taste-wise: couldn't really make anything out of it
This place is a mix of classy and american vintage atmosphere, i really love it. The food is exceptional and the service is WOW, everyone was very attentive and they did our night a perfect one. I definitely recomment it!
Ambience is fantastic for a romantic night. The service was great, we were seated quickly without a reservation. The server was very knowledgeable and humorous, something I expect when paying the premium.
As for the food, we ordered the ribeye and tenderloin with squash potatoes and creamy spinach as sides. The steaks were done to perfection but the J&g sauce is ok, we didn't like it much.
Located in the most majestic hotel The St.Regis, Dubai. I was blown away and got even more excited as soon as i stepped into the luxurious hotel. Being guided by the host to upper level i was welcomed by the friendly staff of J&G Steakhouse. The interiors are dark and classic yet a modern touch is given which looks sophisticated and rich!
We visited J&G Steakhouse for the Tomohawk Thursday promotion for our wedding anniversary.
Service on arrival at the restaurant was fantastic we were greeted by our waiter, Ian, who told us if we were going to have to promotion deal we simply had to tell him our choice of wine, red or white, and how we would like our steak cooked. We went for the red and medium rare.
We were given lovely warm bread and our starters arrived very promptly, at the same time as our wine. Our starters were a chicken roulade and a cod dish. I really enjoyed the roulade however the cod was not to my taste and was topped with olives which were very bitter.
The star of the show was obviously the 1.4kg Tomohawk steak. It was carved tableside along with an explanation of all the different tastes and textures in this one cut. The steak was delicious, the different parts of the meat all had their different flavours and textures. I must say however, if you are someone that would usually stick to a fillet steak then this may not be for you, to really get the full value of the cut of meat you must try the fattier parts which are absolutely packed with flavour. We also had sides of potatoes and mushrooms, which were enjoyable, but somewhat overshadowed by the steak.
After the steak is where things went, unfortunately, downhill. Our plates were cleared and we were happy to wait a while for dessert, however 45 minutes later we starting to wonder what had happened. We felt completely forgotten about. Two tables had come in whilst we had our main and these seemed to be occupying all the attention of the service team. Nobody had been to ask if we were ready for dessert, or even ask if we would like more drinks as our glasses sat empty! We were quite shocked, as the level of service had been so high to start with.
When we managed to grab a member of the team and notified them of the issue they couldn’t apologise enough. It was actually an amazing turnaround. Members of management came over and we were given a complementary dessert wine as an apology and our dessert was served. Ian, our waiter came back and apologised himself and listened to our feedback. The way our complaint was handled was flawless, the staff completely took responsibility for the mistake and went above and beyond to make it up to us. They even went as far to remove the additional bottle of wine we ordered from our bill, we were more than happy to pay but this was another lovely gesture.
All in all it was an interesting evening. The food was fabulous, could not get enough of the steak, it really was fantastic. Having to actually voice a complaint was disappointing, however it was excellently handled by the whole team and this really turned around our evening. After our experience I am definitely looking to return and enjoy another evening, next time without the flaw in service.
The entrance to the hotel is wow.
The ambiance of the hotel is wow.
Everything about the hotel is wow.
The restaurant itself ambiance is very good.
The service is spectacular.
The food is average and in my opinion, many other restaurants has a better tasting meat than this one.

I visited J&G steak house a while back for their Valentines Day menu which offered a beautiful spread.
The restaurant ambiance is beautiful offering the dark woods and dim lighting of a traditional American steak house but is not without the posh flare of the St. Regis where the restaurant is located.
The service is very helpful and knowledgeable.

A mighty fine steak dining experience. Their menu was exciting enough, filled with options from Australia, New Zealand, the Stated and even a Kobe. I ended up choosing the Stockyard Silver Label Wagyu Sirloin and it was exquisite. Perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife ordered the Australian Tenderloin and that trumped mine as well.
Just before our steaks arrive, the waiter presents us with a big box filled with different handled knives to choose one to use. This was quite cool.
The chef sent along a truffle Mac n Cheese and Mushroom Pilaf Rice side. The truffle Mac n Cheese was amazing and couldn't get enough. The bread presented right at the start deserves a special mention. It was shaped like a muffin, hot on the inside with salt at the top and a crunchy texture, almost like a croissant. It was unique and a great starter.
One of my favourite steak experiences. Can't wait to go back.
Stepping into what might be Dubai’s most majestic hotel lobby, you just know what’s coming has got to be good. I’m rather happy that one of my all time favourite hotel brands, St. Regis, has finally graced Dubai with it’s presence – it’s about time really! Part of the Al Habtoor City complex that includes the new W and soon to be opened Westin, Starwood’s latest project is really sweeping into Dubai in grand fashion.
Been wanting to check this steakhouse out since it opened as I heard its really nice. It's definitely a quiet place as the hotel just recently opened but it's perfect for a good catch up session with friends.
There were so many items on the menu I wanted to try but will save it for next time. The Grilled Octopus is so good so that's a must try! Tuna Tartare was nice but I had my eye on the Seared Scallops which I didn't order but will do the next time I go. I love the variety for appetizers. For my main, I wanted to go for a tuna steak as I'm not big on red meat but since I was having red wine, the steak made sense. I went for a healthier option, Master Kobe Wagyu which was delicious (recommend it medium or medium well).
Let me highlight the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the wine, make sure you order the Malbec Catena - one of my favorite wines!
What an absolutely beautiful hotel. It's like a palace inside but the restaurant in contrast was quite dark & done up like an old study.
The service was superb & I couldn't fault it at all. The food - was good but not the best steakhouse I've been to in Dubai.
Starter: we decided to share the truffle fritters which were basically bread coated cheese balls. These were good & the portion was enough to share between the 2 of us.
The bread was warm & quite sweet - lovely.
Drinks: we went for the grapefruit mint & cucumber mint mocktails which were good.
Mains: we both ordered the Australian Ribeye medium well. This was ok, a bit tough in places & we didn't like any of the sauces that were provided. Next time I would stick with mushroom or bernaise
Sides: we ordered the creamed spinach & macroni cheese to share between us and both were good.
Overall, I was slightly disappointed that after reading the reviews here, the ribs weren't on the menu & no amuse brouche was served to us.
Overall an enjoyable dinner and I would probably come back for their Thursday Tomawak offer.
Exclusive place for meat lovers. Known to less but amazing food to spoil your taste buds.
This restaurant is located in St Regis business bay. Amazing yet classy place to spend amazing dinner with loved ones.
Very expensive yet worth paying visit once.
J&G steakhouse at the St Riges Dubai is simply fantastic!!! Really wish i had taken more pictures to share the experience!! We had a pre set menu as we were celebrating a dear friends birthday!! From the martinis, to the red/white wine....starters...main course...dessert we really enjoyed our evening! The service was par excellence. My favourite and a must try is the Octopus Tail!!! I would go back just to have it again!!! Best compliments to the chef, the ingredients used are to die for literally!!! For steak lovers you must check it out!!! Two thumbs up keep it up!!
After a few martinis (try the French one), we were greeted by the Chef and were given a tour of the place. The different cuts are all laid out in front of you and explained by the lovely lady behind the counter so you don’t feel overwhelmed by all the marbling grades and origins (I always am!). Interesting fact: the St Regis apparently owns its very own kettle farm in Australia. The entire cow is shipped to Dubai where it’s used entirely by the different outlets in the hotel. A first in Dubai it seems.
There aren't too many noteworthy steakhouses in Dubai and I have to say that J&G is definitely in the Top 5! We were invited by the hotel to experience a true St Regis dining experience and they definitely didn't disappoint. First up - the service. Everyone was indeed very friendly and attentive - a bit too much at times but we really did feel we were being looked after which is great. Second - the menu. It was great to see a wide variety of dishes so we tried out a number of entrees (the crab cake, the cheese fritters and the wagu salad were a hit) and desserts (the J&G cheesecake and the choc cake was delicious but we weren't a fan of the flambé - presentation was amazing but flavour wise the rum was just too overbearing for our taste) and different cuts of meat for our mains. We especially had a lot of fun with the mustard cart when it came around, trying out different mustards to accompany our steak. Lastly, the ambience and decor just made the whole experience just that much better -I especially liked the dark wood everywhere - very classy and sophisticated - the only problem was smokers needed to leave the restaurant and go down 1 level to another bar to enjoy a cigarette or cigar which is a little bizarre but it is a new hotel so hopefully that is only a temporary hiccup. Overall J&G offers great service, a rich and creative menu and fantastic ambience - indeed exactly what the St Regis dining experience is meant to be. #zomatouae #zomato
An elegant restaurant, loved the atmosphere
Excellent customer service
Unique piece of meat from Queen land for St Regis hotels
Loved their appetizer grilled prawns
And mouth-watering chocolate cake
Great venue for special occasions

The uber classy & sophisticated J & G Steakhouse is located on the equally stunning & palatial St. Regis Dubai. From the entrance itself, you are welcomed in a wide view of the stately hotel, followed by marble & gold flight of stairs, and a high ceiling decked up with a huge chandelier.
The last Zomato meet up of 2015 was in this newly opened steakhouse at the St.Regis Hotel. Nothing less than royalty is what you feel when entering this hotel. Located on the first floor, the J&G Steakhouse serves its purpose to all carnivores who would like to dine in style and elegance. The theme was Steak and Martini. At first, the head bartender started teaching us, Zomatoers, how to prepare several types of Martinis while explaining the drink's history. When my turn came up, I asked for a fruity and exotic taste, so I was served a French Martini with Raspberries instead of Olives. Divine! Moving on to the food, the appetizers we were served: Grilled Prawns, Crispy Baby Calamari, Tuna Tartare and Soy-Glazed Short Ribs, one of the best short ribs I have tried in a very long time. Our steak "The Tomahawk", named after a rocket, was the bomb (pun intended). It is an Australian Black Onyx/Ranger Valley weighing 1.4 Kilograms of tender and juicy meat. A choice of 16 different flavors of mustard came with the steak. The side dishes like fresh Grilled Asparagus, Roasted Mushrooms and Macaroni & Cheese complimented our meal. Then, to finish it all up, they served us 2 types of desserts, Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Sundae. I preferred the latter over the formal as my passion for Caramel and Chocolate is much deeper than that of Cheese. Overall, there couldn't be a better way than to end the year with a perfect meal in an amazing Steakhouse and great company. Thank you Zomato and J&G.
At the new St. Regis on Sh. Zayed Rd. Probably one of the best steak houses in town. Their steaks are fabulous. I hope they maintain the standard
Located in the newly opened St. Regis hotel just off Sheikh Zayed is J&G Steakhouse.
The hotel itself is grand and that makes the beginnings of a grand meal.
I was invited to this restaurant for a zomato foodies meet up courtesy Zomato and St. Regis for the steak and martinis night.
We started off the night with martinis and black truffle cheese fritters which were delicious followed by the tomahawk steak, tuna tarte, grilled prawns with red papaya and cumin honey. We also tried the soy glazed short ribs and ended with cheesecake and salted caramel sundae.
The food was fantastic as was the ambiance.
Definitely the place to be for a romantic evening.
J&G steakhouse is located at the brand new St.Regis hotel which was opened on nov,22nd and is absolutely stunning. I love the entrance to the hotel, and it looks like a palace from the outside. We were invited for Zomato dinner and the martini making class . I had such a great experience there and truly enjoyed it. The Ukranian bartenders were very knowledgeable and made some good but strong martinis. I loved the decor of the J&G restaurant, very classy , dark brown colored theme. The bathrooms are beautiful as well. Great selection of meats and some fresh seafood. My favorite part of the dinner was tuna tartar and avocado. Mashed potato was really good as well. I personally don't like steak, so can't tell you how good or bad it was, but according to my husband, it was delicious. The desserts are really tasty, I really enjoyed the cheesecake. They also have us complimentary macaroons from the French bakery next door, which I thought was really kind gesture. Overall great restaurant, great service, lovely ambiance . I would highly recommend going there for dinner.
J&G Steakhouse is definitely the place to visit for all them meat lovers out there. Their steaks were just cooked beautifully and offer a variety of different sides (Mac and cheese, mash potato, asparagus, steamed broccoli with cheese and many more I can't remember the name), sauces and mustard sauces. Their meat are bred and harvested from their own farm in Australia. The ribeye was to die for, heaven in your mouth and the tomahawk steak.. Go try it yourself! Worth.it.
In regards to the starters, the tuna tartare was good but nothing special and the shrimps created a great blend of flavours (refer to my pictures and the picture of our menu to know the names and details of our food , sorry not good with names :P ) .
Onto to dessert! Loved the salted caramel ice cream, the popcorn along with it was more chewy than crunchy to my liking, it lacked the pop. The cheesecake was good, no complaints yet nothing new with it either.
The chef sent in a coconut ice cream sorbet as well after our starters, before our main course, which was refreshing and I felt was great way to ready our taste buds for the main course.
The servers were very polite and catered to our needs though I wish they would talk a little louder and slower when declaring what sauce they are serving as they just placed the sauce in a rush and a whisper of its name and left. They also need to work a little bit more on their coordination as there was some confusion in the beginning on how the desserts were to be served.
Over all , it was a great experience! My 1st Zomato foodie meet up in a great hotel and great restaurant! 👍
Disclaimer: most photos were not taken by me as my phone died xD I did help out with flashing on some light to see the food more clearly xP
You can see the regality of St Regis Dubai from miles away. Recently opened on the 20th of November this year, the architectural brilliance of this hotel is nothing short of spectacular. From the palatial exteriors boasting of a glamorously lit up driveway, to the spacious marbled foyer showcasing spiraling golden stairways, a visit to St Regis is like reliving the glam of the fifties and reminds me of the luxurious backdrops from The Great Gatsby.
Although Dubai has a ton of restaurants, only a handful leave you with a fuzzy feeling inside yearning to come back again- this is one of those. Firstly I love that the venue is true to itself without Christmas decoration overload, less is certainly more- don't get me wrong I love Christmas. It's a very well thought design where you walk into a lounge and bar with a relaxed yet refined vibe before walking into the various dining areas (there are multiple seating options to suit every occasion) & display of seafood & meat. We had a special experience with a martini class; the experienced bartender presented an array of martinis including a gold martini exclusive to this property, James Bond would have been proud! My favourite was the French martini made with chambord, worth a try ladies. Appetisers were delicious especially the sauce with the shrimps. We had a palate cleanser (coconut sorbet with yuzo foam) before attacking the tomahawk (a huge meat), ribs (which I preferred) and indulgent sides. The best part of the dinner for me was the sauces and condiments of which there was a dizzying selection of. Dessert included a caramel sorbet with popcorn and a cheesecake- both equally yummy. I am sure this outlet is going to give competitive steakhouses in Dubai a run for their money. Will definitely be back soon. Was invited by zomato but I assure you this review is unbiased due to that. Try it for yourself and you would know!

Will I come again: Yes, in a nicer outfit!
Full review: As you walk in, you realise this is not your run-of-the-mill steakhouse. The setting, the staff, the lighting and the décor make the place stand out.
Appetisers were served to share. The tuna and avocado tartare was the absolute winner. It is worth going to this place for this dish alone. The truffle fritters were nice but the stars of that dish were the different types of tomatoes that were served along. The grilled prawns with cumin honey were massive and tasted very nice – albeit slightly overcooked.
Now, for what you are here for: the steaks. The Chef’s choice for us was Tomahawk black onyx served medium and medium-rare (grade 3 marbling if you’re a marbling geek). Accompanied by a dazzling number of sauces and mustards (they had like 12) and a number of sides (get the asparagus and the mushrooms), these steaks were so fresh you could almost hear them go moooo!
My favourite however were the glazed short ribs with apple and jalapeno puree. The pairing of the flavours and the garnishing was next-level.
For desserts, we were served caramel and vanilla ice cream sundae and sour cherry cheesecake, which were both very nice but not mind-blowing (seriously, after those ribs, it was a very hard act to follow).
All in all, this place is going to be on some top 10 list somewhere!
