Thanks to the manager and Hrctor for making our Birthday Celebrations grand and memorable.
Zoco’s been on our list for over a year now and we definitely would have made it there earlier if it wasn’t for the Corona virus lockdown. Oh well, the day finally came and we got to try out some Mexican goodness at this very vibrant restaurant.
Great food, fun vibe, excellent staff.
Kevin was our server who was very helpful. Calvin, the assistant manager, especially took great care of us - also made me some brilliant old fashioneds.
THE best guac in Dubai! Great vegetarian/vegan options. Great place in for a fun/pleasant evening!
Excellent food and ambience. Good service by Usman .....had a lovely time though the place was very busy as we visited on a weekend. The food took sometime to come and the drinks even later but everything was very tasty and fresh

Tried the Enfrigolada for the first time. Loved it. A must try.
We went there for brunch on Friday. The atmosphere is very good with live music, attentive staff, small attention that make a difference (they packed some churros for us). The food is good and good choice of Mexican buffet.
Last min booking for Friday brunch, Ambiance, food, service, such a fun place for family brunch, everyone enjoyed their time, parents & kids ❤️
Would love to return again
Very very very Nice atmosphere.
Food is average but somehow served cold.
Slow service.
Will recommend to visit once if you feel like going to a latino restaurant and running out of other options.
I'm so curious on this restaurant that's why I visited this place to try their Arriba Arriba Brunch.
Their Brunch is open from 12:30PM to 04:00PM for only:
AED225 (including soft beverages)
AED325 (including house beverages)
AED110 (for kids)
I'm expecting to have an ordinary Mexican brunch but it exceeds my expectations. The place is cozy and fab. I loved the lively vibes and ambiance feels like very inviting.
They also have a live performer perfect to complete the Mexican experience.
I met their Head Chef and he discussed and gave a brief description on every single dish. I like the taste and the authencity of their food it was great.
Never had this good, its a must a try. And kuddos to the staff for excellent service and to the bartenders for awesome drinks.
Highly recommended to experience lively mexican brunch like never been before.

Lovely Friday brunch, awesome Latin culinary experience
Zoco, located at the post Atrium, Al Habtoor City is one of the prominent Mexican restaurant. Their Friday brunch is much sort after for anyone who want to dig into a great Mexican culinary journey. The minute you step in, the sheer look and interiors will enthrall you. It looks as if you are in a giant cellar. Lovely vibrant colors, live music, the colorful bar areas, right to the back of the restaurant. You immediately fall in love with this place. The natural light is ample and sets the place alight.
A real classy place for your evening. It has a live music which adds up to its lively vibes.
We had a couple of drinks clearly do not remember the names ;) But a good time is sure shot
Food - 4/5 with modest portion size
Service - 5/5 (recommend : Luiza, overall hospitable staff)
Ambience - 5/5 (Smart Casuals, Soft music & creative decor; check out the bottle art installations on the ceiling!)
Value for Money - 4/5 using Zomato Gold
Order: for 4 ppl,
1) Veg Fajitas: served with 4 corn tortilla breads, the veg. Are well cooked with a citrusy zing (4.5/5)
2) Veracruz Sea Bass: generous fish portion that is tender over a bed of rice in runny tomato base. Sauce is relatively flavorless that needs more seasoning (2.5 / 5 )
3) Chilaquillas (veg): similar to nachos crisps with toppings tossed in tasty Rojas dressing (5/5)
Enchiladas (veg): cheesy & divine (5/5)
Donut Churros: Crisp with a delicious Hazelnut filling and chocolate sauce dip(5/5)
Great ambience, lovely staff and DELICIOUS food. Recommended no doubt. We came here before going to La Perle. Had drinks and appetizers recommended by the staff. It was fabulous.
Decided to go to zoco for a friends birthday, we were greeted well, and the waitress Louiza was very respectful, she took the matter of food allergy very seriously and the chef prepared a special dish (with a special visit from the chef to our table) they have a pizza style sandwich with is a 5 star in every bite but cant remember the name, the pricing was well balanced as well as the grape drinks quality was good, they created a memorable night for the birthday boy gave us the nacho libre movie feeling over all i give thumbs up!
A good evening with friends out here food was good with great music .. beer as usual not a beer fan but wanted to try hoagorden. French fries were crispy n the platter was average for n that only wings n prawns were tasty
Visited this place for the ladies night on a Monday . They offer three drinks + 25% discount on the food . Also they have the Zomato gold . I personally really liked the ambience and the music was quite good . The food tasted really good as well . We got the sea- food tacos , quesadilla and toasties with guac . All of them tasted very good, quite filling and because of the Zomato gold it also worked out very reasonable amongst three of us . However their ladies night offers just Margaritas and House beverage. Although their Facebook page says wine as well but I assume that’s not updated . So my friend decided to come for the ladies night based on their current event on their FB page and she was quite disappointed to find out they didn’t serve wine anymore . After debating a little bit the staff was kind enough to compensate their error with wine as an exception, which I thought was a good gesture . However please note they don’t serve wine anymore for their ladies night.
Best place ever in Dubai the service is impeccable really this is the first time in Dubai I see such attentive waiters the food is great also guacamole loca is wow and quasedillas also and music is wow and the ambiance is amazing good vibes and people
It’s weekend and it means one thing, party time.
Visited the place to experience their Arriba Arriba Brunch.
The location itself was good so we were expecting more from the restaurant from it’s interior and of course the reason why we were here was the food.
Upon reaching the floor where the restaurant is, i thought its gonna be a typical peaceful friday, however after getting in, there are a lot of happenings inside which makes me feel so alive.
Couple of people celebrating their birthdays and others they are just literally having fun.
Of course we were there to do the same so before anything else, so lucky to have met the Chef introduced to us by the Manager and he was so accomodating. The chef introduced us all the available tacos that day and how they prepared it to perfection.
We then grabbed our tacos and quesadillas and we were served with fresh nachos with their own guacamole.
They have sweets readily available on the counter aside from that they also serve freshly made donuts and churros which i will rate shortly including their flavored ice cream pops.
You also have the option for alcoholic beverages however we prefer non alcoholic beverage that time.
Everyone was so friendly, both staff and the crowd will smile back at you and greet you.
Now time to rate the food.
I had variety of foods, however let me give emphasis to those we really like the most.
- Fresh nachos with their own guacamole - Nice crunchy nachos with their unique tasting guacamole as you can also taste the sourness from the lemon aside from the avocado.
- Tacos - we find it very authentic, since 1st of all it was prepared by a Mexican, secondly have tried couple of tacos around the city, this is by far the most different tasting tacos (in a nice way), deliciously prepared for hours which you can really make out by it’s taste, filling but not so heavy.(beef suadero, mizote chicken, salmon and lam barbacoa)
- Quesadilla - For me, it’s the best!!! Good amount of everything on each bite.
- Churros - Everyone loves it, but this one is on a different level. Crunchy, light tasting for me best paired with their dulce de leche, not too sweet just right amount of sweetness, same goes with their donut, i can eat it even without any sauce, lil crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
- For the drinks I highly recommend their berry cocktail, refreshing and appetizing at the same time, i prefer a little less of sweetsness tho to make it so perfect.

The best part about the brunch was the strong margaritas and sangrias that kept on coming to the table.
The food was good and the live band was an extra kick.
The trolley with the fruity popsicles at the end of the brunch was the cherry on top.
Would come back again.
Friday brunch can be more fun if its not just about food...and that's what it is at the Arriba Arriba Brunch in ZOCO. Live music, a great vibe, live cooking stations, friendly and attentive staff and a vibrant atmosphere !
We were served by Danilo who had a smiling face always and a brilliant attitude. It's not often that you come across such happy souls.
A Mexican brunch and there was no w way that there would be no guacamole. We had the Guacamole served to the table and it was superb ! Served with fresh nachos this was irresistible.
We also had open tacos with beef toppings served to the table. The tacos had the perfectly well cooked and an absolutely yum flavored marination.
There were a huge spread of salads and the live cooking stations had a variety of fish, prawns, chicken and meat dishes. There was also the Mexican rice and fresh quesadillas being prepared.
The dessert spread was huge and there was the Tres Leches, Tarts, Carrot cake, Blueberry Cheese cake and the Mocha cake to name a few.
Given that it was the hubby's birthday, we were served a local version of the authentic Mexican Choco Roll.
The atmosphere is great! The food was just the right amount and so tasty!
Truly Mexican food in Dubai. Went to have dinner right before the show The Perle.
Alfonso was our waiter and was so accommodating and nice. I wish we could have more time here.
Love this place. A tad expensive but totally worth it. We had nachos with a yummy spicy sauce on request. The tacos were amazing specially the guacamole was the best iv ever had. The enchiladas were little cheesy.
Zoco is an expensive Latin American (with a Mexican bias) bar and restaurant at The Atrium in Al Habtoor City. Its large yet dim-lit interior reminded me of a medieval taverna. I’ve been there twice. The first time was a lonely affair. It was a Sunday and I think my companion and I were the only people there. The bright side of that evening was that we got to chat up some of the pretty waitresses. When asked why it was so quiet, I was told to come back on a Monday…just to ask the same question. So, I did the following Monday and wow! the place was packed and throbbing – you guessed it – ladies’ night.

The octopus here is amazing. Soft and with a lot of flavor, and the sauce compliments it in the right way. Love the mocktails too and the different types of guacamoles.
On another note, the decoration is quite nice as well.
Landed to Dubai for a holiday and straight for the Mexican Friday brunch! Lovely food, lovely staff, loved the live music and the pitchers of margaritas!! Must visit!

Great place for a brilliant and exciting evening. The food is authentic mexican and the music and ambience is electrifying!! Truly a feel of mexico in the heart of Dubai. The live band is out of this world.
We went for a Friday brunch this is a good place for drinks and food. They have a huge menu spread though not a ‘variety’. Was expecting a more versatile spread. The highlight of the Friday brunch is that at around 2.30 the head chef serves a steak to each table which was absolutely delicious. Otherwise the ambience is pleasant, the decor is equally innovative and the staff and waiters are cordial and empathetic. A tip: maybe a kids menu considering that Mexican food can be a bit spicy for toddlers. Otherwise a great experience
My boys and I go here quite often. The atmosphere is relaxed but with the right music and vibe. We usually sit at the bar and order Modelos Mexican style. Ask the great bartenders there and trust me you won't regret the drink.
As for food, the prices are quite reasonable along with the portion and real tasty. I generally have the tartar whereas the boys will have the tacos and the bone marrow (no longer I believe it's part of the menu).
Great place to hand out during those getaway weekday nights
Good place for Friday brunch, food normal, atmosphere normal, nothing wow and nothing special, nothing bad as well! Don’t much recommend for night drink, a bit boring !
Nice place. Staff are nice, quick service, the barman Diego was excellent with tips on drinks and making the actual drinks (cocktails). Great experience overall.
Nice ambience / music. The margaritas are great, but they do not have Pitcher pricing. We were asked if we wanted a pitcher, but were charged for 5x single margaritas. Recommend to start a pitcher price. Food was tasty, portions are not very large so good for sharing and apps.
visited this place for a friends birthday..gorgeous ambience, great music and great staff..good service and very good cocktails..will visit again
Delicious beef tacos. Guacamole out of this world. Staff attentive and actually Mexican. There's not much ambiance but if you go with friends just to enjoy food, is a great authentic mexican place!
Came here for a few drinks and loved the vibe! The DJ was great and had the right mix of music, with almost everyone dancing. The food smelled really good too but sadly had already eaten before arriving at Zoco. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks as well as their food menu!
A friends' catch-up session became the reason of us visiting Zoco and it wont be a lie to say that the smiles we had while entering this restaurant were only broadened by the time we left it. From the smiling ladies at the reception to the waiters, who served our table, the staff was extremely courteous. Having heard rave reviews about their guacamole, we decided to start our meal with two types of guacamole i.e. Bandera (classic form) and Verde (with Jalapeno and Lime), both served with Nachos. Verde was instantly like by all 4 of us while Bandera became the next favourite after we squeezed a little lime on it. Main course included Veg Quesadillas and Enchiladas Supreme. Both were cooked to perfection and they tasted like they were made with fresh and high quality ingredients. For desserts, we had Mole Fondant and Churros Donuts, both of which were amazing. Both the items were served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and we couldn't stop but wish it was bigger scoop. Monday being ladies night entitled us to 3 complimentary drinks and a 25% discount on the order which made our experience all the more better.
The only inconvenience faced was when bill was presented without the 25% discount that was offered on ladies' night. However, the waiter revised it instantly when we asked him about it.
The restaurant has an amazing ambience and a happy vibe attached to it. I am already planning to visit again for their Friday brunch.
Amazing food, nice ambiance and staff. Try the octopus and the churros. Regarding the drinks my favorite one is the sangria blanca. I will visit again
So perfect Mexican restaurant!!!! Locating was a bit confusing, coz I thought this restaurant is in the westin hotel but it's different!!! Food is great!
I went to see a water show so I had dinner before. They serve fast so it was great for us! Guacamole was massive brilliant! Big recommended!
Beautiful place ,well cooked and presented dishes, great vibes and music but what will make us go back is Danilo. He is passionate about his job and made our experience unforgettable. We were all touched by his personality and communication skills .Our farewell dinner ended up to be a nice party and big part of it was Danilo .
Thank you and keep up the good job Zoco
Great new place. Love the hombres in sombreros walking around offering taquitos and ice lollies. Plus they serve freshly grilled steaks and seafood at around 2pm. Those are in addition to the buffet. Their nachos and freshly made guac were also 💪🏽. Our server Danilo was very attentive and he and his colleagues made sure my 2-year-old was looked after. I would go back and definitely recommend their brunch. Bonus: loads of parking outside The Atrium.
Been here for dinner after a wonderful La Perle show with my husband and parents. We were seated in a corner and it took quite sometime to get the servers attention as we were isolated in a corner. Tried a couple of items such as guacamole, chicken tacos, fish tacos and chicken quesedilla. Tacos were a bit greasy but all tasted good. Supply of tortilla chips were constantly refreshed. Decent mexican place but only reason to go here would be to enjoy a meal after the show.
Great food - both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes, food comes to the table quickly, ambience is nice for evening, music was nice, staff very courteous and helpful! Totally worth visiting
Food was good but not amazing! ambience is nice with no view absolutely to a 5 star restaurant. The options are too limited! pics of Chicken Quesadilla and Chicken Tacos
Since we had our Valentine booked for the La Perle show at Al Habtoor, we were lucky to get our reservations for the Zoco Restaurant a Mexican, Latin American
cuisine. I was looking forward to dining there as I’m not too experienced with the Mexican cuisine.
The reservation systems and the restaurant admin were great, despite being fully packed for valentines they managed to locate our reservation even though they had some technical issues, I’m sure that’s because it was Valentines night and you had half the La Perle spectators dining here!
We were escorted to our table while entering I just couldn’t stop admiring the interiors, decors, and the impressive bottled ceiling! they had these glass bottles hanging
across the ceiling which spiced up the place!
Since it was valentines our table was decorated with rose petals which made us feel quite special that night, I guess its the little gestures that matter.
We were given menus by the very courteous and professional staff Neil since it was our first time he suggested the specials and the house popular appetizers!
There was a whole menu of alcohol beverages which I’m sure were great, but since we were non-alcoholic Neil very kindly suggested a few special mojitos for us.
We started off with the quite impressive and unique appetizers:
Queso Fundido, which was melted Mexican cheese with soft tortillas, served with a mix of mushrooms!
This was just cheesy goodness!! not only was the cheesy ozzingly delicious but the tortillas were soo soft they complimented each other so damn well!! For all you cheese fans out there you must not miss this!!
Also had their signature Guacamole with crispy nachos! No Mexican is complete with your Guacamole and Nachos!
For the main course we opted for the:
Carne Asada (a juicy steak with mashed potato, cheese croquettes, and snow peas!
I’ve never had steak with potato croquettes they definitely added a uniqueness to the dish! loved every bit of it! and the snow peas were a perfect combination!
Lamb (Lamb chops cooked to perfection, paired with crispily fried broccoli, and a hazelnut red pipian sauce of earthy spices, nuts, and chilies)
this dish was cooked to perfection with such a great essence of Mexican cuisine! and for someone who hates broccoli, these guys know how to make them taste crisplicious!
And now for my favorite part of dining, deserts!!!
We had Mole Fondant (Chocolate cake served with a ganache of “Mole Poblano”, a traditional Mexican sauce with chocolate, chilies, spice, and nuts!
all I can say is, this was heaven! the chocolate ganache combined with Mexican spices oomphed up the dessert, oh yes and they had vanilla ice cream on the side
which again was a perfect combination!
Churros Donuts – (Traditional fried donut dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream).
First of all to add donuts to a desert was awesome!! cute little-sugared donuts with chocolate sauce and strawberries!! this is just soo good!
especially since the donuts were hot as they were freshly fried!! a perfect Valentine treat for my taste buds!
We ended the night talking about how great the food was, loved the ambiance, the friendly staff. Zoco is definitely a place to try for their unique, creative and awesome Mexican cuisine!
Lovely place with awesome service. The perfect Mexican themed restaurant at the perfect location. Fine dining and drinking at its best with the most pleasant staff. A must visit if your at Al Habtoor City.

As soon as I made it through the entrance, I was immediately impressed with the decor, vibe and ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is upscale and I would say close to a fine dining experience. ZOCO’s business model is to keep it between casual and fine dining, which works for them. The restaurant can get busy between shows as they are in the same area as La Perle, one of Dubai’s newest premier attractions

My review for Zoco – I absolutely love Mexican cuisine, and this restaurant takes traditional Mexican dishes and adds a lovely twist to them.
The picante guacamole was not too spicy, I would have loved it to spicier though. The flavours of the avocado was wonderful and the chips went well with it.
The snapper crudo was so good. I loved the acidic flavours from the lime and habenero sauce where it livened up the snapper a whole lot.
The scallop crudo was my favourite dish of the night. The scallops were juicy and it paired so nicely with the rose wine that I was having. The mixture of lime and passionfruit juice was the perfect sauce for this dish.
I am a fan of octopus and the octopus dish here was divine! I avoided the chorizo in this dish because I don’t eat beef, but the octopus was the star anyways. The octopus was perfectly marinated and the squid ink aioli was a great sauce on the side.
Finally, I had a cheat meal today where I spoiled my stomach for Valentine’s day so I chose to have dessert as well. The dulce de leche was delicious and heaven for my mouth. I loved puff pastry where it was light and fluffy.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 4.5/5.
I ordered the picante guacamole for 65DHS, octopus crudo for 65DHS, snapper crudo for 65DHS, scallop crudo for 75DHS, lobster tacos for 90DHS, octopus mar for 95DHS, fideo mar for 85DHS, and the dulce de leche for 50DHS.
The pricing of the dishes here was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes.
The service was marvelous where our server, Jove, worked hard to ensure that we were doing well even with the busy Valentine’s Day rush.
The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful, and we came on Valentine’s Day, so it was perfectly decorated for this day.
I loved the touch of cactus plants on the tables, it’s decor like this that makes me appreciate the restaurant more.
We visited the restaurant after the perle show, very nice place, delicious food and excellent service from Alonso, we definitely came back...
I haven’t come across a Mexican restaurant that I haven’t enjoyed in some way or another. With Zoco being no exception. I mean how hard is it to mess up guacamole or tacos/fajitas? Pretty impossible.
What Zoco does to impress though is to make the norm more exciting.
Think guacamole with the added sweetness of mango & pineapple - this is called the exotico; or pisco cocktails with popcorn, unique indeed.
The wine list is extensive and I’m tempted by the Argentinian red but I’ll save that for my next visit.
The bar is long and the restaurant is differentiated by its signature art installation, hundreds of beer bottles hanging from the roof.
The waiter starts talking to us in Spanish which makes us smile, to which I respond no español and he continues to explain the menu in English and tell us about the special of the day.
We order some street corn - short cobs layered in a mix of mayonnaise, lime juice, spices & salt with cotija cheese. It’s worth getting bits in your teeth for. It arrives after a complimentary bowl of corn chips & dip.
The Baja fish tacos we order come with a fried piece of fish, crunchy slaw, and a spicy mayo when partnered with a squeeze of fresh lime juice, makes this absolute delight. Light, fresh and crunchy, kinda sad I had to share.
We strayed from the regular when it came to mains which was possibly our biggest regret. The carne asada, probably because my friend requested well done, was too dry and lacking seasoning. The potato cheese croquettes were a winner as a side, crunchy on the outside, warm cheesy mash on the inside, just wish there was more of them.
The banana leaf roasted chicken I was totally confused by. The menu reading adobo I immediately thought Filipino inspired and the waiter went back and forth a few times to confirm with the chef and I think even he was confused. Basically it’s half an oven roasted chicken with spices cooked inside a banana leaf. The chicken too was a little dry and the mix of spices we weren’t too fond of. All I kept thinking was a burrito would of never done this to me. Therefore my advice would be to stick to your guns so you know what to expect.
The desserts definitely were a redeeming factor, the smell alone of freshly cooked churros dipped in cinnamon is enough to get the saliva going, however it was the natilla - a mango & passion fruit ice cream served on top of a corn crumble with fresh blackberries, raspberries and blueberries and a scoop of coconut sorbet that totally won us over. Each spoonful, better than the next.
Zoco also have some weekly attractions too including Taco Tuesday, Salsa on Wednesday’s and a Friday Brunch called Crave.
Located in the Atrium it’s a great place for a pre or post show meal or drink or two.
Some of the best Mexican food in dubai with great service and the decor in the place is stunning hats off the the chef for this beef dish that had us wanting more !
Ambiance - Awesome place, if you looking for that nice lounge setup with a long bar.
Service - Excellent and quick
Food - Came here for happy hours but landed up dining also. Ordered guacamole, steak and fajitas. The steak was good, feel it could have been better, the guac was nice and their chips were fresh. The fajita was okay. They serve some great wine and cocktails.
Price - 100 to 120 per person
Entertainer works here!
Went for the crave brunch on a Friday afternoon, and although I’m not a brunch king of guy, I had a good time at Zoco! Here’s my review:
FOOD QUALITY - 5/5
They had an amazing salad bar, with different kinds of things that you could combine. That’s a plus if you’re on a diet and don’t wish to gain a lot of weight ( hard task for a dubai brunch ). Overall you could feel that the ingredients they were using was good and fresh.
FOOD PRESENTATION - 4/5
They had a popcorn machine, and that was cool. Also they had a chocolate fountain and a dedicated girl just to fry the amazing churros.
FOOD TASTE - 3/5
Although the guacamole with totopos tasted great, the rest tasted average, like typical buffet food for the masses.
SERVICE - 5/5
The Brazilian waiter Danilo, was a true gentleman. Maybe because he noticed I was Brazilian too, he made sure everything was running good and kept coming to have conversations.
DESIGN AND AMBIENCE - 3/5
I didn’t see anything special about the selection of furniture, cutlery and design overall and although they have an interesting idea for the ceiling where they use a lot of bottles to decorate, it didn’t look impressive. It felt like I was in Disneyland or something like that... One thing that people were complaining was that it was too cold. I agreed.
SOUNDTRACK - 3/5
Because it was a brunch, there was a singer singing top radio hit songs, and that’s not my style, so I think for a Mexican place it would have been cool to play authentic Mexican music like some mariachi then to have something generic.
GOOD FOR
Going with friends. There was lots of young people wanting to enjoy the full dubai brunch and go deep in the mud.
MUST TRY
The Churros! And make sure you put some chocolate from the fountain, and forget about the gym for a while.
IN ONE SENTENCE
Come hungry, and bring your warm poncho!
We went for Taco Tuesday! Highly recommended! It was a good experience. The tacos were delicious, the drinks were made perfectly and the Churros were DELICIOUS!! Greeted and seated by a lovely pleasant hostess. The Serbian bartender was charming and gave great recommendations. All the staff were extremely accommodating, bright and quick! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect Tuesday night!
I visited this place when it had just started and thus it didn't had a lot of crowd but even then the Fridays were good , drinks are usual but over all a good place to be , worth giving it a try !
Last Saturday night, which was the night before we start our working week in Dubai, I went with my friend to eat at Zoco. Zoco is a Mexican, Latin American restaurant located at The Atrium in Al Habtoor City. I have heard so much positive things about Zoco that I wanted to try it from long time and I finally did .
Amazing place!!! We came on Monday and it was ladies night here) got wonderful margaritas and nice surprise was SALSA!!!!!💃💃💃💃 definitely would recommend this place.
On a saturday , we tried the special lunch set menu which includes guacamole, tacos, drinks, chicken fajita roll and donut churros.
It was easily shareable among two.
The dining area is extremely spacious. It is one of the few restaurants located in Al habtoor city.
On fridays they have a great brunch as well.
Me and my better half went for a weekend dinner to Zoco. The place has an interesting dark woody/stony interior and gives a pleasant outlook.
We ordered an exotico guacamole, octopus mar and prawns Quesadillas. You get complimentary tortilla chips with a dip which was some sort of a spicy refried beans paste. It was a good starter.
The exotico was an interesting choice on the menu as we got the sweetness from Mangoes and Pineapples in addition to the traditional Guacamole. If sweet and savoury works for you then this guacamole is for you , we liked it. It was fresh and tasty. The only problem was that for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel they were serving Tortilla Chips probably out of a Dorito's pack :( That's a bummer , i would have preferred some effort from the chefs on coming up with their spin on tortilla chips.
Octopus mar is mentioned as a Surf and Turf dish, as it includes Octopus with Chorizo along with baby potatoes. The chorizo in this case ain't really a sausage, what you end up getting is a bed of beef mince. On top of it sits the grand Octopus. Honestly speaking even after a couple of bites i was skeptical of Octopus working with minced beef. But it does work somehow in a weird way and the squid ink aioli which is very salty on its own once merged with the rest of the dish and the potatoes gives an interesting kick to the dish. We loved the dish as a whole though we were really taken aback by how good the Octopus was, as we hadn't really had an octopus served in its glory. What we normally got was small bits or baby octopus in other restaurants. Here it was just a tasty tasty meat served in a very impressive way.
The prawn quesadillas have monterey jack cheese with prawn bits baked into the tortilla. You can compliment the quesadillas with Sour Cream, Pico de gallo and Guacamole which are served along the quesadillas. They were good too.
All in all we had a good experience and we might come back in future.
