Amazing place for perfect romantic dinner with live and soulful Indian music
and delicacies from all 4 zones of India.
Also the hospitality of this restaurant is great and I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Mousumi.
The singers on board are doing their job well.

We went for dinner on Dec 25 2019. Ordered a non veg platter and loved the fish tikka and lamb chops in the platter. Seekh kebab was average.
For the mains we ordered Lal maas and kadhai paneer with missi roti and garlic naan.
Lal Maas was flavourful and not too spicy. If you want it spicy tell them while ordering.
Kadhai paneer was decent.
Breads were good, especially missi roti.
For the desserts, we ordered kulfi and the presentation was 👌🏻
Overall, the hospitality was good with good singers performing live.
Suggestion/Feedback
👉 We booked two days in advance and they asked us if there is a special occasion. I told them it’s our anniversary and they said they will get a complimentary Cake. No such thing happened during the dinner, instead they gave the complimentary Cake to another table and forgot that we also had a talk about it :)

Great food and ambience! Chef Anmol Mathur even came to check up on us mid-meal about how our meal was. Highly recommend the palak paneer kofta for the main course and the shahi tukda for dessert!!!

Wanted to visit this place from a long time. Gharana in holiday inn from a long time in Indian restaurant one of the top most. The food variety was really mesmerising . They tried to cover Indian regional authentic dishes. Chef Anmol has tried his best to make our dinner wonderful. A special thanks to him.
Starters we had pudina hariyali machi and murgh gazala. Overall both the dishes were good in tatste.
Main course- laal mas is to die for. ❤️
Dessert - Gulab jamun and falooda.

Very very tasty food with nice live music. Just the music was a bit loud so hard to talk. I wish they reduce the volume. Had amazing kebab and dal and some bread. A bit expensive as it’s in the hotel. 15AED for a nan.

I went in after reading about this place online. As soon as I walked in they greeted me and showed me my table. There was a live band playing, which added a great atmosphere. Crackers and dips were served with a special drink (Gharana special) which was lovely. The chicken Biryani was on another level (I tried many across the globe this one is unforgettable) . The staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent ambiance, great food and good service too. Price is comparatively good too. I am a frequent visitor here, loved their music, currently its not available becoz of ramadan. Menu is wide and got some great choices, there are lots of offers and discounts available, pls visit their website when deciding for dining.
When you feel like having food from north India, all you have to do is come to Gharana. Their food menu is categorized under the names of different states. We tried their chicken tikka, methi paneer, tandoori fish and assorted breads. Their desserts are drool worthy. Hospitality and ambience they offer is commendable.
1st time in ds restaurant and already loved it...the ambience was good as well as the food..the chicken starter was too tasty..and the hyderabadi biriyani was awedome. The quantity of biriyani was more than sufficient for 2 people. Will definately visit again...
Went here for my uncles bday celebration. Its was a nice evening for the family as they got to listen to some good music. Food was good and so was the service. However you should look into your portions. Overall its was a good night.
Went to this place along with my relatives during my Dubai trip. Very good place to hangout. We ordered mutton soup, Pudhina Hariyali macchi, Zaika Tandoori murgh tikka
Butter naan , methi paneer, Hyderabadi gosht Briyani . Soup was hot , bit tangy and yummy. Starters were mind blowing. My all time favourite butter naan was very soft and methi paneer gravy was incredible. Briyani was awesome and combination of ingredients was great. Then winded up with watermelon juice. Very good ambience and friendly staffs.

I went for a Lunch with my friend as it was his birthday.
This was our fourth visit after a few years. The ambiance was good and the live music and songs added to our enjoyment. The food was tasty and the quantity of portions reasonable.
The best thing was the staff in the restaurant. All were very well behaved and helpful.
We were specially impressed by the personalized service which was respectful and helpful.
On the whole we enjoyed the visit .
Good dinner spent at Gharana,we opted the Saturday special set menu,it was really value for money,live music was nice kept on entertaining,how ever I must say or my suggestion would be to increase the food quality a bit to next level.chef came to our table and met shared with a possible opportunity to stay in line with other Indian restaurants in town....over all a good time spent and probably we will visit again in near future for a la carte order.
This was my second engagement with Gharana & as usual they were wonderful & the whole event was beautifully managed by Mousumi & her team. For someone who enjoys Bollywood songs this is the ideal place to be in as the lead singer & is fantastic.

This is a very nice place if you love to enjoy North Indian food with a couple of drinks listening to the golden melodies in Hindi, or the famous ghazal. The singers and musicians are great, especially their male vocalist.

I have never enjoyed Indian food the way I enjoyed it in Gharana. The variety they have is awesome. Everything I tasted was good and not overly spicy. The entertainment was fun and the desserts were amazing. The waiters were very attentive and the ambience cozy. Loved the giant swing at the entrance of the outlet. I would bring friends here and recommend it to people. The chicken biryani, the vegetable dishes and the teas were excellent.

Drop by here for a family lunch and honestly were not disappoint the food is great the decor done is very catchy and beautiful and our server Chetan was a delight and very helpful . And it has zomato gold making it worth it as well . Their mutton is one of the best I have ever had.

We had family dinner, food are very good taste and worth for money. Veg pulavo are amazing and zayaka tandoori, khatta mt panner very tasty. Staff are very good with nice background music.
We hosted a Diwali get together on the 2nd of November with catering from the restaurant with Mr. Shanky Bhola’s Catering team members including chefs to servers and helpers-
Deedar, Versly, Pradeep, Sajad, Iqbal Haji, Ejaz, Gauri, Chef Ajmal, Chef kamal , Technician Madhu Arshad.
Shanky although being the head of Catering, was present from start to finish taking personal interest in the quality and presentation of the dishes , ambience , seating ,lighting and music , ensuring nothing was amiss at our event .
His impeccable sense of service and hospitality and attention to detail from planning till execution is by far the best by industry standards .

A romantic indian restaurant in Barsha. The live music with ghazal singing and flute instrumental was a pleasant delight to the ears. The Rajasthani interior of this cozy restaurant coupled with great food provides an ambience for a perfect romantic evening. We ordered the paneer and bhindi from the Rajasthani cuisine and it was amazing. The staff was courteous and attentive. Small tip if the restaurant staff could recommend dishes pairing as both our dishes turned out to be with gravy.
Overall the restaurant is a must try for authentic Indian cuisine lovers.

Normally, Asian cuisines in restaurants located within hotels lack the rich taste and aroma of desi food. This one came out as a pleasant surprise as we were invited for dinner with live music.
We ordered grilled chicken and meat for starters and lamb curry and chicken biryani for the main course. The food was amazing - delicious and cooked to perfection. Great, both quantity and quality wise.
We even send out song requests to the very friendly singers all night who sang our requests and made our evening even more memorable.
Excellent service by the staff and melodious voices of the singers - will recommend it to all my friends and visiting family members.

I have been to gharana with my wife, I must say it is a best place to be in, amazing food, they have dishes from different parts of India, the music was to dye for they will play your favourite track u just need to ask for it, the service was exceptional as well the team was very attentive, we got a top noch experience I must say. Gharana the best place for Indian cuisine in Dubai.. We had athishi lamb chops for the starter it was very well marinated juicy tender n tastes yum...then for the main course we had Hyderabadi mutton Biryanni n It was awesome...the best Biryanni I had in Dubai till now... Had been to this place yesterday evening and must say it’s a very cozy restaurant I had been too... it gives you a very romantic feeling when you get in plus there is live singing which add magic to your moments... quality and quantity of food is amazing. Staff is very friendly and well mannered. I didn’t like cocktails that much compared to other places I have tried... but yes it’s a much visit place to give yourself some good and romantic time.
Food is amazing, plenty of options... but will be great if there provide pictures for the foods, it is difficult to imagine the dish especially for non Indian like me... their ghazal performance is good... but it slightly overpriced in my opinion... overall great experience!
We found this restaurant by chance and so glad we did. The food was really tasty and we thought reasonably priced based on other restaurants we have been to in Dubai. The staff were lovely and attentive without being too much. They play live Indian music which adds to the whole experience . All in all I would highly recommend!
Gharana is a pure authentic Indian restaurant with live band located in albarsha. If i will talk about 🥘 food that is delicious 🤤 too specially try their lamb chops,murgh ghazala as a starters and for veg person they also have more options like special tandoori anaar ke aloo. Over all you will have great 👍 experience indian food with indian songs. Lets talk about their band they are doing amazing job specially Razi who is male singer and marian female singer with their full team including flute,tabla and keyboard artists. They all are a complete package for Gharana. Asif is a perfect professional with good knowledge of bar. They are having good collections of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in bar.

We went to this place to celebrate birthday of a friend and we liked it so much that we went there again. It is a beautiful Indian restaurant with live Indian and Sufi music. Musicians were great so we had a good time and enjoyed our evening. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
Food is great! We ordered so many dishes and everything was just made to perfection.
However service is very slow, we had to wait nearly for 45-50 minutes before our starters could come.
Over all it was a nice experience!

There are a few negative points against this restaurant. One is the entry- it's actually inside another restaurant. From the lobby you can see the name Gharana and would normally accept that the restaurant below the sign, is of Gharana. But it's not so. Go straight inside and you will find a passage through which you can see another restaurant with many framed pictures of the visits of other illustrious visitors of the restaurant. That's the one.
The other strong negative point is the inordinate delay in servicing your order. The management answer is obviously that you have to get a great quality of food , which is prepared fresh only after you order. And that's really commendable. But how come other equally good restaurants manage to serve much earlier ? I don't know the answer to this problem. But I know this, that this restaurant does serve Good quality food.
The interiors are decent with typical north Indian shahi style of interiors done in moderately skilled way. The colour of the walls are not mood uplifting. There are some traditional artefacts around. I would also prefer the flooring to be something more sophisticated than the present simple tiles.
A small stage is there in one side , where except in Ramadan, live musicians play . We missed that.
The clientele is almost totally Indian and pretty boisterous on our day. Sometimes you like it.
We were there on invitation of a friend. And we ordered the items which were shared by all of us. Except one of us, we were all non-vegetarians.
They had a menu which was nicely divided into four columns of gharanas, namely Jaipur, Punjab, Lucknow, Hyderabad. All of them were neatly separated into starters, mains, rice and desserts. They also have some breads and beverages other than the bar menu.
Our starter orders were-
1. Mutton shorba/soup - 4.5/5.
2. Mahi amritsari- 2.5/5. 58dhs. Punjab.
3. Mutton Chapli kabab- 2.5/5. 84 dhs. Punjab.
4. Murgh gazala- signature dish. 4/5. 79 dhs. Hyderabad.
5. Chat ka bahar- 3/5. 26 dhs. Lucknow.
The mutton soup was appetizing and magnificent. The other starters were decent but neither authentic nor tasty. Chapli kabab is a classic Western pakistani/Afghani dish- it has been modified too much to make it bland. The amritsari fish is a fish fry definitely , but nowhere near the classic original at all. One of us was a true blue punjabi himself. The chat ka bahar was actually some veg kabab type - decent enough. The saving grace was the Gazala. It seems the order was forgotten eventhough I specially discussed it being the signature dish , with the wait staff, while ordering. Later it was found abegging. When we inquired about it, we found it was not ordered at all. Somehow Mr. Subhash arranged it fast from some other table , who also ordered it. I shudder to think of what they would have done to us, knowing that we hijacked it from them. Given that each items were taking almost 40-50 mins to come to the table.
The unique thing here is, generally the appetizers are nice and special in all other restaurants and the Main courses disappoint us. Here, paradoxically the Mains were high and above in quality and taste , compared to the starters.
Our order for the Mains were-
1. Murg jaisalmandi. 4.5/5. 79 dhs. Jaipur.
2. Bhuna gosht. 4/5. 79 dhs. Punjab.
3. Hyderabadi gosht biriyani. 5/5. 89 dhs. Hyderabad.
4. Kulcha 20 dhs, missi roti 15 dhs, Kashmiri naan 25 dhs.
5. Adraki keema- 2.5/5. 73 dhs. Jaipur.
The Nalli Gosht was my first choice. But it was not available. So I ordered the Chicken in cashew nuts gravy- Jaisalmandi. Excellent one I must say. Bhunagosht was good. Kashmiri naan was small and thin with some stiffigs of nuts- quite nice. Paneer was nondescript for me- I don't know which of the paneer items were ordered but tasted a small amount. The adraki keema was not so good to our tastebuds.
But the star of the show was the Hyderabadi gosht biriyani- without any hesitation, one of the very best wig mild masala and high in flavours, very light. Very well done.
Our order for dessert-
1. Litchi rabDi- 4/5. 47 dhs. Hyderabad.
2. Rasmalai. 47 dhs. Jaipur.
3. Shehad e jamun. 47dhs. Punjab.
4. Kulfi e matka. 40 dhs. Lucknow.
LitchirabDi was my order and it was quite good with slightly thick rabDi and fresh litchis. The others were good as told by the co-diners. But only two pieces of gulabjamun costing 47 dhs is somewhat exorbitant in my opinion.
We were really disturbed by the delay in serving- because we were a group of five, so passed the time by chit-chatting. But Mr. Subhash really helped us by discussing about food and we forgot our irritations. He is a gem of a person. Much appreciate.
My suggestion would be to select the menus before coming to the restaurant and order it at one go. Also keep on reminding them in between. This is the best strategy here. Food is good, specially the Main courses.
Perfectly located on Shaikh Zayed Road in Holiday Inn Barsha this place is an ideal place if you are looking for a good live Indian music along with some decent food. Menu does not offers you anything different then other fine dining options but the music does takes care of the rest. I did had a chance to visit this place twice and had tried the mutton rogan josh and biryani which were perfectly cooked. The quantity do disappoint you in some of their dishes. Had ordered paneer tikka and mutton bhuna which were pretty decent as well. Can recommend this place if you are looking to have a good time with your loved ones ..A special thanks to the support team especially Chetan,Mausami and Afrin

I have arranged the birthday party last week for 50 guests. The arrangements was very well done including the balloon decoration on each table. All my guest were amazed & happy, and they liked the place a lot. It was more like a private party though I couldn't book the whole place. The Assistant Manager 'Mousumi' was an excellent and well professional lady to handle the whole event. On the buffet she gave us a lot of veg and non-veg items probably more than we requested. The chat counter was fabulous - typically bollywood street items like panipuri, shev puri, dahi batata puri, bhel puri, Pav bhaji, samosa, pakodas, harabara kabab, Shami kabab, murgh malai tikka, rava fish fry, etc, On the top there was separate counters for main dishes and desserts. Desserts were awesome like Gulab jamun, Rasgulla, gajar halwa, kalakandh, freshfruit, etc. All the restaurant staffs were quite cooperative and no attitude in them. If any Guest asked something or kids were running they didn't objected or said anything. The live Gazal was very nice which added a flavor to the whole event. One can really enjoy the place if they arrange private parties or event, the place is good for 60 guests. It is worth for money too. I would recommend Gharana for family and Friends.
One can plan a lovely and gripping musical evening at Gharana with family, friends or guests. Wonderful ambience, live music with some credible singers and artists on the instruments make the place a magnet for people who appreciate live musical experience while enjoying dinner. One of the special attractions is the Flute with the vocals/ghazals and songs on requests from guests.
Food seems to be average and menu happens to be limited. Not too many options for sophisticated foodies who prefer to be vegetarians. There are some treats for non veg lovers though. One may find portions to be limited.
Preferable to run through the menu online before visiting. Easy and ample parking at holiday inn basement and helpful staff try to ensure an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Wanted to try some good Indian good .. so decided to give it a try .
First the ambiance is very claustrophobic ... the live singing came to the rescue as it was quite soothing .
The food I would rate 3.5/5 . The menu options are good enough . Must try to the chicken makhni masaledar , chicken mirchi , chicken tikka . The breads were crisp but too much butter .
However there are lack of servers there . The lady hostess there was quite courteous .

As a foodie, one of my favorite events to attend are the food festivals as I not only get to gorge on the delicious food but also get to learn about the food that I am eating. الاكل لذيذ جدا والجلسه فخمع والإضاءة خافته لكن المطعم غير هادي الموسيقى مزعجه جدا
المطعم جيد جدا والاكل لذيذه وخاصة طبق الكباب و برياني الروبيان (حار بعض الشيء) وأجواء الفرقة الموسيقية، لكن العتب على المساحات الضيقه و السعر مرتفع.
