If you are in the mood of a loooong drive and end up in doing fine dining, then this is your place. I loveeee Vikas Khanna, he has to be my fav Indian chef and so my love for him dragged me all the way till his restaurant. We went during winters so the weather was favourable for outdoor seating. The staff was amazing as they guided us sooo well as to what to order. I never thought a sweet potato dahi chaat would taste soo soo soo good. I mean i will never go to a fine dining restaurant and order a a chaat, but as per the staff recommendation i ordered and i must say it was “star” of the night. We ordered Biryani, Mutton curry, dumplings and daal makhni. Everything tasted very decent and good. The million dollar question!! Would i ever come back this far for the food??!! Well! As much as the food was good and tasty I don’t really think so, but if Chef Vikas shows up then i am definitely coming to meet him 😁.
Made up in the most vibrant jewel tones, with gorgeous accents of gold, this is Chef Vikas Khanna’s first venture in Dubai, which serves Indian cuisine in a fine dining ambiance.
We started with the amuse bouche; panchratna, a medley of five lentils in a single sphere, encasing mozzarella cheese; atop cumin labneh and topped with passion fruit gel.
The starters included Tandoori Prawns, Elaichi Chicken Tikka, a platter of four seasoning pots—paying homage to distinct regions of India; and for me, the absolute star of the starters was the Dahi Ke Kebab. A parcel of baked yogurt, Medjool dates, all wrapped in a crunchy kunafa coating. This was plated with a turmeric cream.
For our mains, we tucked into a fragrant and traditional Kofta biryani, with spiced lamb meatballs, layered between aromatic rice and spices of basmati rice, caramelized onions, served with a yogurt and cucumber dip. My perennial favorite—the Dal Makhani, was a delicate balance between spicy, creamy, and hearty. It was eaten with boiled rice and the special Kinara roti (bread) made from whole wheat flour, fenugreek leaves, and clarified ghee with a unique insignia stamp in the middle of the bread. And last, but not least, the Paneer Launglatika, which a roulade was made from paneer, with a pistachio filling, drizzled with rich tomato clove sauce.
For desserts, we indulged in Coconut Rice Kheer, which was a beautifully plated rice pudding dish, and the Chocolate Molten Cake, served with walnut crumble, apricot compote, and caramel ice cream.

We LOVED every dish, but the mozzarella naan was the best thing ever

We had an excellent conversation with the restaurant manager who ensures each and every guest enjoys their meal and leave the place with a great experience. Team is extremely knowledgeable and that makes a lot of difference! Good Job!

Let me open by saying straight out that I believe Kinara by Vikas Khanna is Dubai’s finest contemporary Indian restaurant at this moment in time. There, I’ve said it!. Now sit back and enjoy…. From theatrics to the basics, Kinara will take you on an unforgettable culinary journey. Please try it yourself, as I already know there is no way I can represent the depth of the experience in a mere article – no matter what praise I can type, or what photos I can present… in fact, I was humbled by the gravity of the excellence presented to us.
We really enjoyed visiting Kinara, the restaurants interior was lovely, we even got to sit outside next to the fire pit display, it was gorgeous.
The staff were lovely and very well trained on all dishes on the menu it was very impressive and educational. Our servers recommended a few dishes which helped us choose what to try. The dishes we had were phenomenal, from the texture, flavours and the presentation was mind blowing. The cocktails were really tasty and refreshing, definitely worth a try.
We left the restaurant extremely happy with our visit to Kinara, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Such a great restaurant in a beautiful hotel.
Tried different food and it was amazing. Favorites are the sweet potato from the appetizers, lamb chops and sea bass from the mains. The service is nothing less than amazing.
Will definitely be back soon for a great and easy on the pocket meal.
Menu by the Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna, I loved the presentation & the unique logo (lotus flower) incorporation in some of the dishes, you can really taste the unique flavors such as the smoked sandalwood (really delicious!)
The food is light and although it's a unique flavor fusion it still has the "homely" taste to it and I highly recommend trying it if you're a lover of Asian food, and our server Ratnish was amazing and took good care of us and the chef took the time to customize the menu to cater to my food allergies which is something amazing and highly appreciated
What an experience! Kinara by vikas Khanna provides a first class Indian dinner for us from the professional staff and the mouth bursting flavours which made our dining experience one of a kind.
Startes - Dahi ke Kebab was exquisite in tatste and rich in colour and texture.
Sakarkandi ki chat - visual masterpiece by chefs.
Main course - highly recommend Tawa fish
Dessert - Don’t forget to finish with chocolate molten cake
A diverse array of dishes from many regions and tradition across from India . Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Hospitality has shined again at this modern Indian restaurant.
Tried this place a few weeks ago and without a doubt this was the most interesting fine dining experience I've had.
I'm not a fan of fine dining Desi food, mostly because it's not the best quality and you alway leave the place wanting more, this place is not one of those.
The fusion of Indian cuisine with unique flavors its an art here, everything I ordered tasted so good and different that I will definitely go back there again. Cheers to Vikas Khanna you have become one of my favorite chefs.
Massive thanks to our server BHAVNA who was super kind, helpful and is an adorable human being.
Best Indian restaurant in Dubai... loved the food.. service was just amazing 😉 will be back again soon ❤️
