I had zero expectation with the food before ordering because it was just to kill time and enjoy the view but the flat bread pizza was surprisingly good and the ice tea was refreshing. Total cost was 85-90 aed - a bit pricey but with the view it was a delightful change.
we were there last thursday at around 10:30 in the evening. its my second time to be in this place. ive seen how a lot of things changes. no more complementary popcorns. no more ipad-like menu. the chairs did chnage a lot. but the view remain amazing. the crew is still very warm and welcoming. i love the service. i love the drinks and the foods a s well. i wil definitely come back again. ❤️❤️❤️

Julie was just great in terms of service. We enjoyed the food, pizza 🍕 and loved the alcohol. We could definitely use better music, so definitely take that into consideration.

We discovered this place since we couldn’t get a place in the bar which was in the same building, but surprisingly this place exceeded our expectations. The view is extremely satisfying. We had ordered chilli fries and crispy calimari and everything was delicious. Generally I don’t expect too much from bar foods but this one was really good!

Swim & Tonic is a pool side bar in the Steigenberger hotel. There’s a lot of reviews here so here’s some advice:
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Come by 6pm to grab a seat, start happy hour & watch the sunset over the Downtown Dubai skyline
- Bookings not essential before 6 but HIGHLY recommended for large groups after that
- Shisha is available with alcohol!
- Fantastic views and table service
- Sangria pitchers
MIXED: the food is inconsistent but directionally good. The Arabic mezze is good but other options can be so so. Service gets very busy at night so it can be slow especially during happy hour.
All in all it’s a unique relaxed and informal venue. If you’re staying in the hotel, you should definitely come.
Love this place they have a amazing view of the Burj at night drinks are good and the food was good . Service was good too. Good place for ladies nights or just to chill and downstairs they have “The Backyard” which is cool too ! Specially when it’s nice outside !

On the pool deck level ...Spectacular View of the skyscrapers in the business bay area but the glimpse of Burj Khalifa leaves everything behind .
Food is mainly bar snacks with decent variety and options.
We ordered the chicken tenders in Kung pao sauce which was delicious
Then we ordered squid dish which was fried squid with harrisa dressing and schezuan butter and it totally hit the spot .
Both the dishes were recommended by the staff and went well with the LIT’S we ordered .
The staff was friendly and professional.

Visited this place on Thursday when they have the ladies night. Love this place their shisha is amazing and the place is pretty nice with some amazing music. I have tried their appetizers which is decent.
Thursday night welcomed us to this business bay area. Upon reaching around 10 PM, place was already lively and people were dancing, playing games which made us to move to rooftop due to unavaibility of seating.
Ordered veg rolls, shrimp and nachos with beers. Food was average, nothing great about it. played Uno and jenga.. Service was quick and shisha was smooth but overpriced.

Good place and ambience. Wanted to go to backyard but there was an event going on so we were at Swim & Tonic and ordered some red wine and a chicken pie. The pie was average and the Red Wine was also ok. Giving it 3.5 as the ambience and location was great.
Services given by Mr Conrad was amazing. Foods was amazing. Very nice place to go there with friends. Direct view to Burj khalifa. Overall it was an amazing experience.
This Place is a saviour as Backyard is not accepting zomato gold on weekend(true have escaleted to zomato aswell) this place has a nice Burj Khalifa view with ample space to sit and drink with DJ playing in the background.Andrea is a superb hostess .Will be happy to come back again 😊
Its one level up backyard and gives a nice view of downtown dubai in the open seating area. Their nachos with cheese is a definite try. Staff is friendly. You should visit this place in winters to enjoy drinks in Dubai's cool breeze.

This is a little gem and is perfect on winter days. Tip: the view isn’t great because of the construction going on all around it, but the drinks were made to perfection.
However, the music on some nights can get overshadowed by what plays in its sister bar: The Backyard. Still, excellent service, friendly staff and good drinks make this a definite winner. Try the Long Island iced tea here, it’s made well and made strong *ahem*

I went to Swim and Tonic on Thursday night, it's a lovely chill out lounge but we went during time. It's not ideal to go there during summer, even their coolers don't help.
We had some beers, gin and tonic, grapefruit lemonade and some quiche, sweet potato fries and fish sandwich. Drinks were good, food was average.
We also enjoyed their sheesha which was amazing and very smooth.
Prices are slightly high, even with the Zomato Gold offer our total bill was AED 1300.
Been here more than 10 times, It is very comfortable place for me & my friends, we love the selection of drinks, and this time the food menu was much better.
A great place to start and early evening with Shisha and Drinks. Followed by a little party downstairs at the Backyard if in the mood for it. Big up to Vonn at the Bar who made sure we were well taken care of!

Nice place for an evening by the Burj Khalifa.
This place has a great ambiance with a dim lit setting and windy rooftop seating.
We went here on a Ladies Night which fell on a Thursday and ladies got 3 complementary drinks (I chose the Screw Driver). The music was trippy and more like Hippie trance. People were dressed in Hippie clothes too.
Ate only a basket of fries which was okay-tasting!

This place is a fabulous place by the pool in stigenberger hotel business bay..had a great view at the roof...also if you go on thursdays before 11 girls get 4 free drinks...they had a limited drinks menu though ..dint try the food but i will go back once to try...

I really liked that they had unique cocktails here in addition to the traditional ones that is being served everywhere.
The lemongrass mai tai is especially interesting because it is the first time that I have ever seen lemongrass used in a cocktail, and that includes in Asia.

A nice pool side bar and lounge with a fantastic view of Burj Khalifa serving drinks, food and shisha. They have 2 pool tables and a shuffle board as well. Its a nice place for some drinks in this weather with music coming up from the lower level called the Backyard. They just need to work on their service as its very slow as we had to go to the bar to get our drinks despite having our table. Being from this industry I understand that any new place takes times to fix their service but it can be irritating for guests. As for now they have ladies night on Thursday and Friday offering 3 free drinks from 8-11pm every week so it gets busy by early evenings. Surely recommended!!
Visited Swim & Tonic on Saturday evening with some mates to enjoy the weather outdoors and the view of Downtown. Groovy rock n roll from the 80's was playing at their seating area downstairs and the top floor is an open terrace by the pool. I had a Hendricks lemonade, whilst my mate had a tequila watermelon-margarita and the other had a Black Label with soda. Good view, well prepared, refreshing cocktails. There's pool (billiards) and mini bowling too. Price: at AED 60 a cocktail it's what you'd expect to pay at a German hotel in Dubai, but about 4 times what you'd pay in Germany. Well, that's Dubai.
Swim & Tonic is an amazing place set in Steigenber hotel. They have beautiful interiors, a scenic view, great ambience and a brilliant vibe to this place. Alcohol and food is priced at regular rates with the staff being over friendly and generous. They have a ps4 which u could play on the large projector, foosball and darts to keep u busy. An amazing place to spend an evening with friends.

Given the weather we really had a good time...excellent ambience by the Canal and even better service..,loved their Sheesha and the best part they serve sangria....it's so difficult to get such good sangria in dubai...loved their cake which was loaded with chocolate....we had a chicken burger and chicken drumsticks both of which were nice and the Quinoa salad...however the food menu is very limited and that was a tad bit of a disappointment...they have a food truck where the food is economic and the menu keeps changing...go there Thursday and Friday night and the ladies get three free drinks
Excellent location, great vibes, good ol school music, great food and snacks make the backyard a good outdoor venue given the right weather.
Friendly service also makes this place a good option plus they have shisha.

Love the look and feel of the place, Perfect place for the winters. Relax, sip on your drink and enjoy the food and the view by the canal. Visited this place to celebrate a friend's birthday. Since it was a weekend, it was fairly empty but it didn't matter to us. Ordered for a couple of drinks with some nibbles on the side. To add to it, there is an in-house food truck. They also have some board games and darts to play.

We visited this place on a Friday night for ladies night .The ladies night they serve a mix of rum ,vodka and whiskey slush, white wine and red wine .Its totally open air and has no inside sitting .Loved the ambience and decor and the wall graffiti.It has a quite area which is by the pool with the view of Burj Khalifa and four post bed seatings as well .The lower level has more seatings with live band/lip sync competitions on .The same level also has a video game area with just one machine.
The service was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed my experience here .Would definitely recommend to visit this place specially during Dubai winters .

Where can you find a ladies night for a full weekend? That's right ladies it's 3free drinks for us every Thursday and Friday on this lovely place.
Swim & Tonic is offering us a view of the Burj Khalifa, and having a pool bar and their sweet lounges.
Going down to the basement, you will be welcome to The Backyard where we spent most of our remaining times. It's really funky and upbeat. They have their own food truck which serves you different kinds of food everyday. Love the graffitis on the wall, they have a space for dancing and you can play darts or board games while having your friends around you. The music is played by their own DJ, which is absolutely fantastic with a set of now and then rnbs. We have tried the long island and coco harvest (correct me if i'm wrong) and it's quite a decent drink for a decent price. Mr. Priere is kind enough to check ua from time to time, giving us hints that there's a lot of things coming, and even gave us a free drink which honestly is kind of amazing.
Will keep coming back again and again :)
Having had a rather disappointing visit on my last trip to the Steigenberger, there was a lot that needed to be overcome and I’ll be honest when I say my expectations were a bit low. Thus, when I walked down the stairs to the newly converted Backyard at the Steigenberger, I had no idea what I was in for. Fortunately, this new urban garden terrace was everything I didn’t know I was looking for. Much like the difficult to describe layout at the classic Barasti, The Backyard is a funky bar meets lounge meets park meets ultimate chill out location. With high ceilings, picnic tables, a huge screen, dance floor, DJ booth, eclectic graffiti pieces, and a food truck, the location has all of the elements necessary for a great night or afternoon.
One of the best places to chill with friends and at the same time have a look at the Burj Khalifa.
The service is great. The bartenders are very courteous and friendly.
And the liberty to sit along the pool side and have a drink, makes it even more relaxing.
Great place for people who need chill & calm time.
