(التعليق الأصلي) Had an amazing experience, staff had extremely good service. The food was especially delicious and is a great place to visit with family or friends. However, the prices are a little in the higher range but the quality of the service and the food is the best.

The vegetable spring rolls and the Pad Thai Hor Khai are really good. We come here about once every week and thoroughly enjoy every visit ...............................

Lovely ambience, Wonderful Staff, Excellent Kitchen, Very average Bar. Go there for the Thai food and you won't be disappointed! But they need to reinvent themselves for repeat customers!
Anisha Watwani
Very below average food. No blend of thai taste. Chicken was under cooked. Duck lettuce wrap barely had duck pieces more of veggies. salad was only decent.

Nice food with Great flavours and quantity. Ordered their Hong Kong sui mai. it was too small and only 6 per plate is a bit of a teaser. With a zomato gold membership this place becomes more affordable. Must visit place once.

The food was great! Many veggie options. Large portion sizes so careful while ordering. The decor does need a facelift though - very grim. Cocktails also could do with some thought and innovation. But food was great!

While I’ve been to Thai Chi many times - it’s usually decent though pricey Thai food.

This time however, we tried the all you can eat dim sum deal and it was hands down the best meal I’ve had there.

At AED 120 for the non alcoholic menu, it was reasonably priced and the selection of dim sum was on point!

We each had a point of jasmine tea and the dim sum - which included a lovely wanton soup and a wide selection of fried and steamed dim sums along the best barbecue chicken bun I’ve tasted. I’m not usually a fan of the buns, but the bun was the fluffiest I’ve ever tasted and just melted in your mouth - that combined with the spicy chicken filling went down a dream.

For dessert, they served a hot custard bun with salted egg which was just divine.

Since the weather was great, we sat outside and the wonderful ambience, combined with the food just made our day.

Friendly restaurant staff, average food quality, not so authentic Thai food, terrible management, most expensive Thai meals we ever had! Traditional deco needs maintenance and major facelift!

Our first visit was in 2016, we had dinner and food presentation was fine dinning. We came for the promotion 50% discount on main courses. We ordered a starter and two main courses with fresh juices, the bill after discount was almost AED600.
We thought the food was OK, lovely presentation but taste is nothing special. And compared to food in Thailand is no way near.

I personally loved and worked in Thailand as an expat for over 10 years. We were disappointed with food quality and ridiculous price but at least we had lovely staff serving us. We decided not to visit the restaurant again and turned to Lemongrass restaurant instead!

Only a few months ago, Lemongrass restaurants closed down in Dubai so we gave Thai Chi another go. We went there for lunch and they have lunch buffet from 12noon to 3pm. So we took the buffet at AED 130 per head. We have Wafi discount card do we get 20% discount so it is reasonable.

The buffet was nice, simple Thai food with a few Chinese stir fries and dim sim. The Thai Dessert was very simple street food but very delicious.

I took my Thai friend for lunch and the was very disappointed with the buffet. He said "it's not Thai food!" because the food has no spices and he had to add raw chilli. It's understandable as the restaurant is catering for western, middle eastern and Chinese customers! But overall he was happy to see some Thai staff and the manageress came and spoke to him in Thai. She also spoke to me. She said that the restaurant has been there for over 20 years. She set it up and managed it since. The owner of the restaurant owns the whole Wafi City development. She mentioned that the restaurant is Fine Dining for special customers in the evening and so lunch buffet is kept low to cater for the general public! I hinted to her that I found the price is too expensive but she said that she wouldn't change anything because the owner is happy! Her brother ran the kitchen but now moved to another restaurant to be the head chef in a five star hotel. The kitchen is now ran by a Chinese Thai chef. She encouraged us to come back for dinner.

We came back for dinner and gave it another go soon after. We ordered soft shell crabs , Thai Prawn Green Curry, mushroom dish and water. The bill was over AED300 and with the Wafi card discount of %20.

The prawns was tiny and only a handful in a curry that doesn't seem to have fresh ingredients in it. Only the taste of packaged curry.

The mushroom dish was very large and it has no Thai spice. Perhaps it's a Chinese dish with plain garlic and was very oily.

The soft shell crab was only OK, again frozen crabs which has been in freezer for too long hence lost taste of crab. The portion was very small.

The dishes were no fine dining! The quality is worse than dishes served at some of the food courts fo which are a fraction of the price!!

The staff asked us to conduct a survey on an iPad and I gave a poor rating.

A few weeks later, we got an email from Wafi restaurants manager, signed with a female name. The email was very apologetic and asking us to call the manager to give more feed back.

I called the direct line to the manager and an Indian man answered. He said he is the new manager and didn't aware of email sent to us.

I had to explain everything and he said that the email I got was just "automatic responses to survey". He didn't apologise but constantly asked if I would care to meet him for lunch in any restaurant in Wafi? He wasn't interested at all on what I had to say about the food, price, service or any suggestions on improvement of the restaurant.

I gave up and we tried to find another Thai restaurant instead.

The manageress obviously not committed to the success of the restaurant! Her attitude was very arrogant and didn't seem care!

We will not go back there again!

Good food. A bit on the expensive side. Use Zomato gold. Big range of vegetarian options. Outdoor seating recommended during winter. Easy parking.

I wasn’t a fan of the Phad Thai. There was mushroom in it and I’m not sure why, didn’t taste good. Restaurant should make it the way it’s suppose to be made otherwise specify what’s in the dish. I wouldn’t order again. The portion of the food was good though.

I absolutely love this place ! Celebrated my birthday here. The staff was extremely friendly and helped make my birthday a memorable one. The food quantity is generous! Delicious meal and amazing drinks. Must try this restaurant out.

ordered online from this place. The price is ridiculously high, for curries with not much ingredients in it. 490aed for 1. red curry 2.green curry 3.pad thai 4.sontam 5.mix vegetables. Worst of all, there is not much vegetables in both curry. basically only curry with very little vegetables. 1 of the most unreasonable meals I had in my life
Sasi Saminathan
Talking about eating healthy and something unique. Trust me this is the place as me and my frnd had an amazing experience in this outlet . The food is exclusively tempting and yeah they have made some fusions with the authentic dishes but I have to say those turned out to be good. Everything used is completely fresh and nothing frozen.

Talking about the ambiance the place is perfect for your evening dinner date or for your friends who prefers a different taste .

Nice food great flavors good size portions. The chicken mince with lettuce wrap was excellent as a starter. Also the Hong Kong sui mai was nice, although too small and only 6 per plate is a bit of a teaser.
For the mains, green Thai curry was nice without the 🌶 kick although we asked for a spicy version. However it had nice flavors and a reasonably big portion. Similarly the soft shell crab in yellow sauce was nice and crunchy and flavorful.
With a Zomato gold membership, this place becomes more affordable. Definitely worth another visit in the near future.
We visited this place without any plan . A couple of times we have been here changed our minds and left . This time we stayed . We ordered shezwan chicken and fried rice but he very good . Their quantities are big and if you have Zomato gold it’s total below for money .There is also complimentary green tea served which is a very nice touch . Loved the spice level in everything .

We entered the restaurant and no personnel was at the reception counter to guide us in therefore we walked into the dining area where we were spotted and greeted by Warren who immediately recognised that I had a reservation and greeted me by my first name.

Warren then asked us if we would like to sit outside since the weather is better to which we agreed and he immediately escorted us to a table in the outdoor dining area.

Warren returned to our table and presented my guest (who was a lady) with an open menu first and asked if she had any dietary preferences to which my guest stated that the only meat she eats is chicken; and then presented open menus to me (dinner and beverages menu) and asked us if we would like to start with some sparkling or still water to which I responded that a large bottle of still water would be great.

A bottle of still water was brought to our table along with prawn crackers and peanuts; and as they were being placed onto our tables, Warren was mentioning what they were after which he stated that he would give us some time to go over the menu and would come back to take our order.

While Warren was assisting another table, I was able to grab his attention and indicated to him that we were ready to place an order and he immediately came to our table after which I stated that I would like to place an order for a Gai Satay (Marinated Chicken satay) and that we were still deciding on the main course.

Warren went on to ask if there was any occasion that we were celebrating to which we responded by saying that we just wanted to enjoy some great Thai food.

He then repeated the order and stated that the starter would take 10 minutes and excused himself from the table.

Warren made himself available to the table and recommended the Gaeng Khiew Waan Gai (Thai Green Curry) with chicken since the lady did not eat any other meat and mentioned that it was one of their best dishes.

My guest stated that she was not a huge fan of coconut and Warren mentioned that the lime leaves and basil were also in the dish to ensure that the coconut was not overpowering the dish.

We then proceeded and placed an order for the Gaeng Khiew Waan Gai and Warren asked if we had any preference to the level of spicy that we wanted in the curry. He then excused himself from our table after repeating our order and refilling our glasses with water.

(Exactly 11 minutes after placing order), Warren brought our starters to the table and stated the name of the starter as he was placing the dish onto the table and stated that the sauce was sweet peanut sauce and asked us to enjoy our starters.

Warren returned to our table and asked us if the starters were okay to which we responded by saying yes.

He then asked us if we were interested in any alcoholic beverages or juices and mentioned that the lemongrass is very popular among the guests and we responded that we were alright and thanked him for offering.

After recognising that we were finished with our starters, he returned to our table and asked if he could clear the table.

While clearing the table, he asked if it was okay to bring the main course to which we responded by saying yes and within one minute of Warren taking away the starter trays away, a lady attended to our table and politely asked if she could take away our plates to replace them with fresh ones for the main course.

Warren came to our table with fresh plates and cautioned us that the fresh plates were hot and that our main course will be right out.

exactly 23 minutes after placing order), as Warren was walking out with our main course, a lady assisted him with placing the dish onto our tables and stating the name of each dish.

While she was replenishing our glasses of water, Warren introduced her as the restaurant’s manager after which Warren then served us starting with the rice and asked if we wanted to curry to be served on the rice or by the side.

At 8:00, the manager returned to our table and asked if our main course was alright to which we responded by saying yes and she politely excused herself and asked us to enjoy the rest of the meal.

After noticing that my guest and I were finished with our main course, Warren made himself present at the table and asked how our main course was and after we responded, he asked if he could clear the table to which we responded by saying yes.

After taking away the main dish plates, while taking away our plates, Warren asked if we would like to look at a dessert menu to which we responded by saying yes.

Warren immediately returned with an open menu of dessert and my guest asked if the Thai Mango was available to which Warren said yes and it was a great choice.

(exactly 5 minutes after placing order), Warren brought our dessert to the table and asked us if we wanted any more or other drinks to which we responded by stating that we were okay with the water.

After finishing with dessert, I grabbed the attention of Warren who was walking by and had asked for the bill after which Warren returned to our table to take away the dish and plates.

5 stars for Thai Chi!
Excellent food and service!

This restaurant will remain one of my favourite Thai Restaurant in Dubai ( I go once a month for 8 years now) . Servings are huge (good for two or three people) Staff are always friendly and the ambiance make it seem like you're really in Thailand.

Please dont forget to try their Pad Thai, Papaya Salad and Beef Curry ;-)

First thing to point out is that the quantities of curries in this place are huge! We were greeted quite well and service is quick; hosts friendly.

Got the chicken in pandan leaves ( my favourite) and it didn’t disappoint- well cooked with great flavours. and the duck in lettuce was quite a delight to have. The stir fried beef was overdone and a bit chewy but the green curry was wonderfully flavourful! Their mango sticky rice was good but does not feature in my top list. Overall great place and would love to try more dishes here.

Not a cheap option for a take out meal but one of the best Thai green curries I have had in Dubai. Disappointed with the kale salad side dish, tiny portion and definitely not worth the price. Food is 10/10 but the price just does not add up.

The food here was great. The pineapple rice with chicken curry was very tasty, one of Thailand’s favourite food.
I had also ordered Hamour fish which just yummy. It looked and tasted splendid. With the right amount of sauce and vegetables and perfectly cooked fish too.
I had also ordered the Thai special noodles which was tasty too.
The only flaw which i noticed was the pineapple rice had a tinge of egg taste to it which was little odd but it could be ignored.
The ambience and service was great and would recommend this to everyone look for a Thaiwanese food!

Ambiance: 4,5
Service: 5
Taste: 5

My friends suggested this restaurant to us, it’s just as well that I was in Thai chi yesterday. Definitely this is perfect restaurant for Thai cuisine.

I will come again for buffet lunch.

Have visited the place twice: once for appetizers and another time for a buffet dinner. Average food and dull ambience. Can do with an interiors upgrade.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Dubai. Their service is very very impressive. Their staff is well trained and can really make you feel special.

The ambience is cozy and brilliant

Had the raw papaya salad, vegetable Thai green curry and fried bananas with ice cream for desert

In every aspect I would rate them as below

Ambience - 5
Food quality - 5
Food taste - 5
Service - 5

Well done guys

I love thai food and was introduced to this place by my relatives. Its a quiet place on the first floor and the seating is such that you get your own privacy and space.

We were a group of 6 people and were seated in a separate section facing the terrace. Thai Chi serves alcohol as well which is great and we started with the changs beer.

They serve nuts and prawn crackers as complementary and because we had vegetarians with us, they served us rice crackers as well. We ordered the veg. spring rolls which were crisp, hot and tasty. The veg noodles were just perfect and the helpings were pretty good. The thai curry we ordered had a huge helping and was enough for the 4 of us. We truely had a wonderful dining experience here with great hospitality and delicious food. Will surely get my mom here next as she lovess Thai food and this place would be perfect for her.

This place has got to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Dubai.
I've been coming here since I was a kid. The staff is amazing, so kind. The food is delicious and their buffets are even better.
Coming for their buffets is definitely worth it, especially on Friday when you can enjoy the buffet at the Thai Chi and Carter's together for the price of one.

Listed below are a couple of the dishes I would recommend ordering at Thai Chi:

Pad Thai, it's one of the best I've ever eaten in Dubai. The flavours are balanced beautifully, and the portion is pretty big.

Chicken Wings, their extra crunchy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

Red Chicken Curry, it's my go to dish at the buffet and also for a la carte. The à la carte portion is huge, which is good for the price you're paying. It's very very tasty.

Sticky Rice and Mango with Coconut Milk, definitely the best I've eaten in Dubai, especially when they serve it with the Thai mango.
A birthday dinner and nostalgia brought me back to this place.
It was extremely quiet, with minimum staff and perfect weather to sit outdoors. I haven't eaten at this place in at least 9 + years, it was exciting to come back.

Ambience is clean and peaceful and personalized service.

Food- a separate vegetarian menu made life so much easier

Crispy mushroom in curry leaves and cornflakes - the batter has no salt otherwise perfect with the dip.

Lettuce wraps - messy, didn't enjoy the way it was served and I'm unsure if the veggies are the frozen kind or fresh. I rather make the wrap myself. The sauce used is good.

Steamed dumplings - coating gets sticky and dry, less salt for my palette.

Mapo tofu - excellent with super soft tofu. Needs a bit of heat though

Tofu Kung pao - excellent sauce, well prepared

Egg White fried rice - a special request

The portions are quite big, we could easily have 4 people eating the dishes above.

The restaurant was kind enough to bring a birthday pastry which apparently is served during lunch. Not to complain I was given left overs, but it was divine. Tasted like chocolate cheesecake but apparently something much more complex!

Price with vegetarian food and discounts - 120++ per head which isnt to bad.

Will be back soon!

Thai Chi as the name suggests serves Thai and Chinese cuisines for a lover of both Asian fares. It’s located among the throng of restaurants at Wafi.

The décor seemed more Thai than Chinese with temple style ceiling details and pale wood tables with leather chairs. They have a spacious airy indoor seating and a nice terrace to enjoy the cool evenings with great atmosphere.

The inside area is aesthetically divided for both Chinese and Thai fares. We chose to sit inside as it was a little nippy. We were the only people in the entire restaurant and it felt a bit eerie and had a distinct lack of atmosphere, although I liked that they played soothing Asian music.

I loved the placement of tables giving its patrons privacy. There were private areas for more intimate dinners. Coupled with candle’s and Buddha statues on each table, it did feel comfortable.

We were served complimentary prawn crackers - a common snack food throughout Southeast Asia with spicy dip. On knowing that my brother was allergic to shell food, they promptly got him a bowl of nuts to nibble on.

The staff was pleasant and extremely attentive, I’m not sure if that was so as we were the only people there.

We started off with Tom Yam Gai soup with chicken. Our server mentioned that the portions are huge and we should share the soup. We were so glad that we did pay heed to his advice. I was surprised by the huge bowl of soup they placed in front me.

The soup was a little too watery for my liking, however, one could distinctly taste all elements – be it galangal, mushroom, chicken or lemon grass. The ingredients were fresh and tasted good.

I loved the beverage menu, which had mocktails under the header – Chauffeur’s drinks. We opted for Lemonade and mint & Angel’s drink. Both the drinks were refreshing and tasted good.

We were recommended to try Pla Kao Lard Prik which is deep fried whole Hammour served with sweet chilli sauce . I’m so glad that we did listen to him again – as the Hammour was mouth wateringly saporous. We both literally stopped talking for a bit to savor the fish. The Hammour was crispy and with the sauce it was just perfect. It was a scrumptious dish, one I’d definitely recommend.

We were midst this delectable fare when we were served Gaeng ped pet yang with sticky rice.

Gaeng ped pet yang is red coconut curry with roasted duck, cherry tomatoes, pineapples, & sweet basil served with sticky rice. The portions are really big and is good enough for two people. We in fact couldn’t finish it all.

The Gaeng ped pet yang was thick and creamy, and so flavorsome. It was a delightful marriage of coconut cooked with duck, pineapples and tomatoes. This was comfort food and is definitely one of the best curry I have had in a long time in Dubai.

Visiting a Thai restaurant and not having Mango and Sticky Rice would be a crime. So finally I tried Mango and sticky rice, though it sounds unappetizing – the combination is exceptional. Sweetened coconut milk is generously poured over a mound of sticky rice and is served with fresh mangoes.

My favorite of the lot was the Pla Kao Lard Prik and Gaeng Ped Pet Yang . The pricing seems a bit high but for the portions served its good

Thai Chi combines the traditional elegance of Thai with contemporary Chinese, giving a good alternative within one venue.

Lovely ambience and fabulous food with great service. Thai chi offers wide variety of Thai food. We had green curry with steam rice and padthai. Food was very tasty and the service was on time. We sat outdoors and with the current weather it was a wonderful experience. Will definitely go back.
Hunger Pangs
If you grew up here, you know this is one of the places you can never go wrong with. Their thai curries, rice noodles and sizzling dishes are to die for. They do a great buffet too.

Been visiting Thai Chi for a very long time.. always loved the ambiance..the service and the food they serve...Visited them again for a family new year dinner outing, with the weather being beautiful ..the outdoor seating is just perfect!
we started with the tom yum veg soup - was perfectly spiced with the lemongrass and thai flavors
we also ordered for the veg spring rolls.. were nice and well fried and crisp...
for the mains we ordered the veg green curry...veg pad thai and the veg hongkong noodles..
all the dishes were great..the portions very good as well..
have to give a special mention to the service..we reached the restaurant a bit late, so the chef came personally and she gave great suggestions and ensured we didnt over order :)
overall if you're looking for some good Thai food with a lovely ambiance...Thai Chi never disapoints!
Tarun Kumar Thakar

Dinner at Thai Chi this evening. The tom yum soup was delicious....very light and quite tasty. The red curry dish was just right for me. I don’t do spicy very well and was hesitant but I easily handled this curry. Delicious! Dessert was sticky rice with mango. I’m sorry I never tried this before!! I’ve been missing out. It was DELICIOUS!!
😋😋😋😋 Be sure to leave room for dessert and try this treat. We will definitely return again and highly recommend Thai Chi to one and all. 👍🏼

Who would think you’d find such good Thai food amidst pyramids and hieroglyphs! I’m a frequent visitor of this amazing spot that offers top notch south Asian food with a wide range of wines to choose from.

This post is coming in a little later than usual, but I thought the timing could be perfect as Ramadan is just over and you can start planning where to head for brunch/lunch soon? 🙂. Located among the throng of restaurants at Wafi, Thai Chi serves Thai and Chinese cuisines for a lover of both Asian fares.

So glad that we discovered this place. Even though I love Thai food, we don't really have it very frequently. So knowing a good place is such a relief., located in Wafi mall the place has great outdoor seating for better weather. And the food is really delicious. Perfect for a great evening.

It's was a splendid experience to have dine in at Thai Chi.

First timer to Thai Chi. Didn't know it's opening time for the dinner - we were there at 6:45pm. As I stepped Into the restaurant it was quiet ; saw two ladies at the kitchen. A young Thai lady was having her earpiece on and working near the steamer section . Then another was an aged Thai lady working on some paper work - who seem very engrossed with her work.
I was tried saying "Hi" x5 but both doesn't to get their attention as I was already in the middle of the restaurant. Hence I walked all the way to infront of the kitchen station and the younger lady saw me. I waved and smile to her, I was appalled by her reaction! She showed me a super rude , unhappy face followed by drawing off one side of her ear piece.
Then I tried asking her, despite of the shitty reaction towards me. I asked her: h, may I kno what time you are open ?
She continued to show a unhappy face to me ; not even willing to response to me . She then turned to get the older lady's attention.

At that point of time, I wanted to turn and walk away. To my surprise, the older lady was 💯 percent different from the younger lady! She was kind and smiley attending to my concern. 😊
Situations was somehow being turned around for better...
she was very hostile and then she got us seat and told us that the restaurant will starts serving at 7pm which is 15mins more.
She chatted with us and from there we got to kno that we were so lucky to have meet her. So is the one who managed the whole restaurant for almost 10 years now. She has been away for quite sometime and just got back.

To be honest, if it's not for her presence, we would have give this awesome restaurant a miss.

Once you get in there, the atmosphere together with the Thai music and Thai cuisine, you probably think you are dining at Thailand !

The Pinoy male waiter is very polite and friendly.

We spent aed800 plus after some discount they have with the wafi promotion.

Getting to know the head chef who is also the head of the Thai Chi - Chef Nila is such a great bonus to us.

We love the authenticity taste of the Thai food and sauces we had.
All the sauces are hand made instead of using from the bottled sauces .

Thank you Chef Nila.

One of the best Asian restaurants I have been to, the place itself is very cosy and the waitresse was very nice and welcoming she recommended the best thing on the menu and she was absolutely correct as I am not much into Thai food though I love the Chinese so she recommended to try the Thai and also it is very quite place to have a meal.

Had my dinner at Thai Chi. Loving the gai satay (chicken skewers) and the som tum salad. However i feel like the taste wasnt real authentic Thai, perhaps they added Chinese recipe? Therefore the name is Thai Chi? Could be wrong, but the spices were not as the same as Thai food in general, but still love it! Definetely recommend this place for casual dinner with friends and family!

Thai chi was such a good restaurant (3-4 years ago), however after the management or chef changed it has changed and not for the better.
I used to love the crispy rice salad and the chicken satay.
The quality of the food is now average.
I miss the old Thai chi😔

I have eaten the lunchtime buffet here on a number of occassion's with work. The selection for the price is excellent and great value for money. I particularly like both the THAI food within the THAI and CHINESE concept. The place is very laid back and can enjoy a good conversation.

Looking for some authentic Thai food with a Chinese flavor to it, then this is your place. I have sampled their bouffet over the years and it surpasses my expectations every time. Starters and soup is a good place to begin, sumptuous, flavor some and varied to say the least. Main is a lavish spread including several exquisite preparations of fish, chicken , meat and tofu. Curries made out of Thai spices with coconut gravy. I wish I possessed an extra stomach or two to be able to do ample justice! The salads are mouth watering, be it the papaya based or crispy rice. The list is endless but their dessert spread is fit for the kings. Every possible concoction is there for the sampling. You must try their sago pudding and then only think of leaving the place. Lastly the decor is so beautiful, you feel transported to another world. Staff courteous and friendly. It is one of the many jewels among restaurant that are located in the Wafi mall.

I had the pleasure of being here once again

It was my sons birthday and so very special

Once again we went for our all time favourite ‘buffet ‘

I find them akin to a ‘gastronomical adventure’

Immensely enjoyable

Food was superb!

The range of starters impressive

Both prawn and veg dumplings were mouthwatering with choice of dips

Spring rolls and prawn bags crispy and yummy

Tom yam soup hot and full of flavors

Love it!

Tried their welcome drinks of lemon grass and ginger
Refreshing

Ample choice of beverages both hot and cold

Mains was equally impressive

Love their fish fillet
Sea food mix in sauce
Coconut gravy with vegetables and jasmine rice
Tofu
Rice noodles

The dessert is an impressive spread
Lemon tarts
Cheese cake
Brownie
Sago pudding
Fresh fruit
Caramel

I came out bursting at the seams but so happy!
Follow me on instagram: HighExpecTASTEion

I got their lettuce wrap with diced duck and vegetable and...that is literally exactly what I got and nothing else. I really wish there was some accompanying items, maybe some items for decoration or something that but the way that it was given to me I really felt they could have done much more. This particular dish just felt like something I could get at say Carrefour.

Yes I got exactly what was described on the menu but I felt like that for 60 dhs, there could be slightly more to it.

This is a tough decision because I can't really blame them for serving what was described, but at the same time since I am ordering from a restaurant I am expecting more.

Was invited for a business lunch to this restaurant and we had their lunch buffet which was excellent ample of vegetarian choices from starters to main course each and every dish was delicious and they had a fair variety of deserts overall a very good experience, ill be surely visiting this place again. The service was also fantastic. I love such places where delicious food is complemented by wonderful service. Keep up the good work.

My colleagues and I swung by Thai Chi for a team lunch. Located in Wafi Pyramids, the setup and ambience is nice. We made use of the complimentary valet parking and headed towards the restaurant.

The interior is spacious and we were seated at a table close to the window with plenty of light. We opted for the buffet which had a reasonable selection of your traditional thai dishes with some popular chinese items thrown in. The buffet included a couple of dim sum appetizers, spring rolls and duck rolls. The mains had a number of vegetarian options including vegetable green curry. There was crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken and stir fried fish.

The food itself was decent although not what I would consider an authentic Thai experience. The crispy beef was on the saltier side and the noodles were fairly greasy. I was surprised to not find any pad Thai. The desserts were pretty generic as well with the most "Thai" dish being banana in coconut milk.

Regardless, the service was decent and the seating was pleasant so it made for good conversation. The place has potential if they get their mains right which is why I'll give it a 3.5. A rating based on food only would be 3.0.

My family and I were aimlessly driving around on Friday night not sure where to eat but we finally settled on Thai Chi. I've never been here before personally however my parents have visited on multiple occasions and have always said good things.

Our meal started off with complimentary prawn crackers served with an assortment of sauces. The sauces were quite oily but we requested for sweet Thai chilli sauce which was just perfect! For starters we ordered the Rice Salad (not pictured), Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Duck Spring Rolls. The best starter had to be the Rice Salad, it was different to anything I've had before and the texture was just really interesting! I definitely recommend that meal.

For the main course we ordered the Red Thai Curry which was just perfection. It was pure comfort food, it tasted really good and just hit the spot. The level of spices was perfect. Nothing more that needs to be said for this dish!

We were given complimentary carrot cake desserts as part of the Christmas celebrations at the restaurant which was a nice touch. Our server Warren was really friendly and attentive!

I have no gripes with Thai Chi! Everything flowed well and the outdoor seating was really nice. Definitely recommend.

Have been an old timer at Thai Chi and have enjoyed their food, most specifically their curry.

Decided to try the buffet last night - loved the outdoor seating but was a bit disappointed with the evening buffet. The spread looked great but the starters were cold and the main course was not as good as when you'd order a la carte.

I ordered delivery, was not cheap at all, but this is not the problem..... They delivered food with no cutlery, how am I suppose ti eat my food?! Big fail.... They don't answer the phone too!!!! If they don't care enough then screw them... First and last time I am ordering from this place

Excellent Thai food in the Middle East. A very relaxed ambiance, the setting is really nice with an outside area, and service is attentive. The staff were friendly great and welcoming.
One of the things that makes me feel good about a restaurant is when there are many people dining in. I was there for dinner with my colleague on business on Saturday evening and we were there for more than a couple of hours. Besides us, there was one more couple the entire time (there is probably seating for 100, if not more). Besides this, we ordered Goong Takra from the Appetizers. I would rate this one or even a zero for the amount you pay. Its almost like frozen shrimps that were cooked and placed in front. We also ordered Tom Kha Gai soup or the spicy coconut soup with chicken. The soup was very good and it would give it a 4 although I have had better ones. We ordered the Gaeng Khiew Waan Gai curry based on a previous review and to us, there was nothing special about it - it was just average. Since there was no one literally in the restaurant, the service was good as the two waiters had to just look at us and if we needed anything. With so many options in Dubai - I will not be going back.

One of the city’s most cherished Thai restaurants that been around for at least two decades and consistently serving great tasting food. Before Thai Chi opened, we had a handful of Thai fine dining options in town but Thai Chi disrupted the market as they were serving both Thai and Chinese cuisines and secondly they offered a fine dine experience and service but with a slightly more relaxed atmosphere.

Due to these aspects and of course their great food Thai Chi instantly became a hit. In spite of the tough competition, these days Thai Chi still maintains its great standard of quality and service and delivers a great dining experience. It’s always a pleasure dining there.

They offer an extensive menu with great vegetarian options and everything on their menu tastes great so don’t hesitate to try anything you find tempting ☺. They are a little expensive but with the Wafi card discount it works out fine.

A must visit place if you haven’t tried it yet.

Want to break your teeth? Call out Gaeng Khiew Waan Gai a dozen times under a minute.

Dubai is home to some old timers that have reveled diners across generations, among Thai food masters, count Thai Chi. Others that come to mind are Blue Elephant and Benjarong. Ample seating, cosy chamber space for buffet and a la carte gastronomic journeys. Thai Chi serves a selection of Chinese dishes which wasn't on my list. Coconut green curry with sweet basil lime leaves and baby eggplant from Thailand was on my mind, heart and tummy. So it was, tempered by sizzling prawn platter doused in garlic chilly sauce and shitake mushrooms.

They get me at the crispy fine grainy prawn crackers served alongside chili garlic paste, every time! Kudos to the staff who are deft at intuitive service.

Thai Chi is conveniently located in Wafi, calm even with Thai music playing in the background and friendly staff. We had the papaya salad with rice salad which was very tasty. Avoid the chilli! For mains we had the Pad thai, prawn and chicken red curry with egg fried rice. All basic thai food but always a good way to go when you are a group. Dishes were shareable and reasonably priced.

This post is coming in a little later than usual, but I thought the timing could be perfect as Ramadan is just over and you can start planning where to head for brunch/lunch soon?. Located among the throng of restaurants at Wafi, Thai Chi serves Thai and Chinese cuisines for a lover of both Asian fares.

A hidden gem Of sorts considering that wafi mall isn't exactly on the tourist map anymore. Wonderful ambience and a great staff are just an add on considering the delightful food that is on offer. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls and Thai green curry while a friend gorged on some chicken pad Thai. A complimentary dessert serving was like a cherry on top!
Be are to check this place out . I am sure that yesterday was just the beginning of my love affair with his restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening !!

Went to place after many years and was very disappointed with the place. The service was poor, we were sitting at our table for at least 15-20 mins and no one even came to ask for drinks. And the food was a far from average. Even basic items like spring rolls and sweet corn soup had no flavor and had some peculiar smell to it. The price was not justifiable at all. The only good thing was the portion sizes. But would rather have quality over quantity.

I had dinner here randomly on a late Monday night. The place was quiet and I wasnt sure what to expect when I walked in. I love the ambience. The old rustic, vintage setting with the romantic lighting really set the mood for a relaxed atmosphere and conversation. We were served by a waiter who suggested most of the menu would take half an hour but it took 10 minutes for our food to arrive.

We had grilled tiger prawns with basil and peppercorns along with the special thai fried rice. The prawns were perfectly cooked and tender in a spicy sauce that was so aromatic, it made my mouth water as it made its way across the room. It was doused in a thin sauce with the peppercorns being the firecracker in the dish. This is something I had never tried before but will certainly do so again.

Definitely worth the value.

I was here last night with family and had a great time...
Amazing Place , Delicious Food . It was grandfather's birthday and we got a complimentary cake 🍰...
Had a great time...

So i was here last night and had a great time. Food was excellent. Best part was they have a separate vegetarian menu with lot of options unlike most of the other restaurants serving Thai cuisine😆 Service was better than expected. Since it was my husband's birthday they gave us a complimentary cake which just melted in the mouth. Overall fabulous experience. Would surely recommend it to everyone.

Thai Chi used to be a restaurant that me and my family would frequent over 6 years ago. A few years ago we had given the restaurant another go. What we felt was that the food quality and service quality had fallen drastically.

We went there again on 24th April, and I have to ask "Has Thai Chi made a come back?"
The food was amazing, the portions were perfect, the ambience was great.
We were reluctant to come here because it was my father's birthday and we didnt want to risk a disappointing experience, but we got a perfect dinner that was intimate and enjoyable.
Our experience here tells us to give places a chance every now and then.

The restaurant was empty as it was a Sunday, however we loved the attention that the staff gave us. Serving us with a smile and giving us our space to enjoy a nice birthday evening.

Im glad to say that this is definitely a restaurant to go back to and enjoy.

My friends seldom recommend places to me, thinking oh she's a food reviewer she would know, I want to take this opportunity and tell you all, no I don't know alot of
places still, and I'm very open to suggestions, so please share your secret eating places with me, better yet.. take me with you :) So this friend said, have you been to Thai Chi's Friday Brunch, its just classic and I said NO, I haven't and she's was delighted thinking she's hit a home run, telling a foodie a place... :)
Now, you need reservations at this place, its a hidden gem, tucked on the first floor, of the Wafi Pyramids District, serves buffet, on weekdays during lunch
and dinner hours, and its a fine dining Thai place, has an established a reputation for serving contemporary Thai delicacies, the Friday Brunch being very famous too.
We had lunch on a weekday and the place was pretty full, families, business people, mix crowd, fresh food and great seating area, we sat indoors but I could see some
terrace area too. Since its Thai food, and you all know how much I love Thai food. NO Ala Carte orders here, I had a buffet, ordered Lemon Mint and got right to the food.
There's an excellent fresh salad island in the centre and all dishes are around the walls, they've a live cooking station, where they serve freshly steamed dimsums.
The soup was perfect, aromatic and spicy....the main course had a little bit of everything, the grav had some seafood, and chicken option,I really like this wok charred beef kind of thing... the appetizers are all good, dim sums, paper stuffed rolls...
Now,the cherry on top is their desert counter, they've fresh thai Mango :) yes and they had water chestnut, classic thai desert chilled... awesome!
I ordered a pot of green tea to settle down, all that I ate.
I'll surely be going back, loved the classic, vintage feel of this place, reminded me of some places, I've visited as a child back home.

Pictures are uploaded separately on my newsfeed.

While planning for a Friday brunch outing and looking for restaurants with good deals, we came across this brunch in Wafi which had the option to choose from 3 different cuisines at 3 different restaurants. This means you sit at one restaurant but you can roam around to the other 2 as well to pick up what you like!

A very good deal indeed for AED 230 with house beverages, with amazing service provided throughout

The maximum dishes I had in this brunch were vegetarian, and loved the variety they had to offer

Dishes Recommended

Veg Spring Roll

Veg Dumpling

Coconut green curry with veg fried rice

Do make sure to ask for the thai chilli sauce, the food isn’t bland at all but this sauce will enhance the taste for those who like their food a bit spicy

Went back to the restaurant after 4 years, nothings much changed. If you love Buffet , you still have that option. We opted for Thai Chi Sharing platter and TomYam for starters and ordered Pab SiLew Gai ,Goong Pao and Gal Pab Krapao as main course. The portions were sufficient for 4 and on taste they have always been one of the best in Dubai. !!

Ambience - Beautiful
Food - Bestest thai food and drinks had
Service - Very good
Quantity - Good
Definitely the place for thai food loversss

Went there for the first time yesterday. Being a vegetarian i was bit skeptical about the options on the menu. But was pleasantly surprised that they had vegetarian options and it was really good. Staff were very courteous and offered a great service. All in all a good restaurant, great location and great people.

Authentic thai cuisine... The buffet is just too good ... I couldn't get over the momos... The soup noodles...With your favourite veggies and garnish... prawn crackers... and various starters along with chicken and veg momos.. and splendid spread of main course and drooling desserts ...

Went for dinner , the food was sub standard for the price . The Lemon and mint drink ( with ice) was bland and watered down.

Order the hot and sour soup , large bowl but average taste.

The fried duck with pancakes and plum sauce - the duck was over fried ( burnt) the pancakes were thick - Horrible.

Had the chicken with cashew's was some what edible and the egg fried rice was mediocre at best.
Very Disappointing!

I sometimes dine somewhere then decide to have desserts/tea somewhere else. And Thai Chi happened to be that somewhere else. I totally loved their desserts, especially the fried bananas, which not anyone can pull.
Israa Javed
Been here couple of times but a year back. Went there recently and everything is so different! The ambiance, the service lucky the food is still as good as it was!

We ordered wasabi prawns as starters which was alright, but for the main dish we got their Thai green curry and tempura fish covered in sweat chili sauce gravy. The main dishes were both delicious, and portions were pretty big for just my husband and I. Overall, I would give them a good rating for their food, but their seating arrangement for those who want to experience a nice atmosphere and enjoy an a la carte meal, maybe not. Their buffet customers and a la carte customers are bunched up together in one place which makes it too noisy and chaotic. Being a well known restaurant in Wafi, they surely can work on that aspect to enhance the customer experience.

I'm going to keep this short. We had their dinner buffet. It had a decent spread in terms of number of dishes. In the little they had the food was fantastic! Great to sit outdoors during winter's and enjoy your meal.

Location (5/5) , Ambience (5/5) , Food (5/5) , Service(5/5) , Attitude of Staff (5/5)

This is one of the Rare cases where I was 100% satisfied with every aspect of dining from the beautiful ambience, delicious food which was customized by Chef Norman to our taste and even customized the dishes (my wife isa vegetarian and allergic to few things). Never seen such an amazing service atleast in Dubai where you just turn your head and there is someone waiting to attend you even if you are sitting outdoors. Perfect service by Mr.Mark. I would like to congratulate the entire "Thai Chi" team for an amazing job. Keep up the good work team

It's so yummy, it's already in my tummy 😋 It's one of those old favourite places that always gets it right.. The usual suspects are - the Thai red curry with rice, the papaya salad, the prawn crackers, the crispy Peking duck with pancakes & plum sauce, the Chicken satay with peanut sauce, the deep fried fish with red chilli & Thai chicken with cashewnuts & dry red chilli and the list goes on.. If you want good sumptuous traditional Thai food.. East or West..thai chi is definitely the best!

Looking out for a not-so-fancy thai dinner we reached here..and the place was decent...the food tasted really nice...prices were cool too!!We opted for a buffet which was surprisingly a big spread!all kinds of wantons and tempuras...tasted really nice!Main-course spread was nice with star attraction being the yellow curry..I'm not much of a yellow curry fan,but this simply bowled me over :)
dessert spread was a cute on with few thai desserts along with the normal dessert shots!drinks were complimentary...the lemon grass drink was really refreshing..so was the ginger drink!!
overall a good thai restaurant serving nice thai food!

A decent place for a quick Thai/Chinese fix if you're around Wafi.

Pleasant ambience, good service and pretty decent food.

Would visit this place again but not that soon.

Thai Cuisine + Fine-Dining Experience = Magic !! Their sea-food options are excellent and if you know what to order, you are really in for a treat. I am a regular at this place and personally feel Thai Chi is a class apart compared to other Thai fine-dining restaurants across Dubai!-- A drop of ink may make a million think.
@AyaashPaw

My dad often goes here with his clients and acquaintances and has been suggesting this place for a while. Finally had the opportunity to visit it, and I have to admit it is absolutely amazing. Great food. The restaurant lighting was a little towards the dull and gloomy side. Even on a weekday it was full with an extremely busy staff. Would totally recommend this place.
Tushar Vashnavi
Had lunch here with some visitors , good things - nice menus , good option if you want to mix two cuisines ! Names might be confusing , so ask staff to explain exactly the preparation ! Do not miss prawns fried ! Buffet we did not like as it was all basic stuff , not when you have visitors ! Over all good experience !

I had been to this place a long time back and remembered the food was good. A friend was visiting and we decided to take her here for thai. I had called and booked a table in advance however as it was a week day it wasn't crowded atall. We were greeted at the entrance and assisted to a table. After which the staff brought us the menu and gave us a good amount of time to decide. We had an infant with us and the staff were extremely kind and made conversation with the infant too.
We called for the papaya salad, veg spring rolls and chicken satay to start with. It was all amazing, especially the chicken satay with peanut sauce was brilliant, the chunks of chicken melted in the mouth. For main course we called for thai red chicken curry and steamed rice. It was delicious too. We stuffed ourselves with the starters and main course and had no place for dessert. The food overall was delicious and the ambiance is just like any upscale thai restaurant. Their prices are good to considering the place and quality of the food. I like most restaurants at the pyramids but this one is an addition to my favourites list.

I visited the restaurants on two separate occasions, once for a Buffet Lunch with the family, and once for dinner - again - with family.

The buffet was outstanding and I absolutely loved the food; however, when it came to ordering a la carte, the experience was disappointing.

The restaurant offers Thai and Chinese food, and it's menu specifies which of the dishes are of Thai origin, and which are of Chinese.

We ordered the Dim Sums to share, and they were incredibly salty.

My brother ordered the Sweet Corn Chicken Soup, and it had an overpowering smell of the peanut oil, which - honestly - ruined the soup. Think: Somebody put out a cigarette in your soup. That's fowl (geddit? Fowl?).

Next, we'd ordered the Crispy Fried Peking Duck. I think that the chef got so lost in their quest to attain that crispy texture, that he completely ignored the fact that the duck was over-cooked, therefore it was dry and chewy.

We'd also ordered the Quick Fried Noodles to share. Again, with the peanut oil. The smell was far too overpowering.

The Vegetable Fried Rice - on the other hand - was pretty good. I don't know whether it actually tasted good, or my mouth was just relieved at finally tasting something decent and something that wasn't being murdered by peanut oil.

My niece ordered the Thai Green Curry (Gaeng Khiew Waan [Sounds like something out of Star Wars, doesn't it?]). That was a hit and everyone quite enjoyed it.

My sister ordered the sizzling prawn:
1. It wasn't even sizzling.
2. I've tasted better elsewhere, unfortunately.

I myself had ordered the Seeklong yang BBQ Sauce. Which is basically beef ribs with a sweet, BBQ sauce. THIS was the best food out of the lot. The meat was tender and juicy, and I didn't really need my knife. If I had to go back here, this is what I would return to eat! I wouldn't recommend this to people who don't like their food to be sweet, however.

In terms of desserts, we'd ordered the Crispy Fried bananas. I think after realising their mistake with the duck, the chef decided to balance it out with the bananas, because they weren't crispy. They were more like 'just cooked so you don't have uncooked batter in your mouth, but not cooked well enough to be crispy'. Heart-breaking, really. Crispy - fried Bananas are my favourite. But there was ice cream, so, win!

Coconut Pana Cotta. It's an Italian dish. But it was decent. But it's Italian.
@Coffeeboy2107
Located in the wafi mall.....Great food and service...will definitely go back again
Must try Thai green chicken curry served with white rice...simply awesome....keep it up
The Greasy Spoon
Locate in the Wafi Mall this is perhaps one of the best Chinese n Thai buffet in the area. I visited Thai-Chi twice both times for their dinner buffet sometime last summer when they had a promotion of buy one get one free.
The restaurant is spacious and perfect for a family get together. The ambiance is classy, however service is average and you do have to get the attention of the waiter to get additional drinks on the table which is all included in the buffet.
The variety of food is wide and the most important factor is every dish is tasty unlike many other buffets. They have a selection of thai starters and salads along with the must try green curry with rice, prawns, peking duck roast, noodles and much more along with a huge selection of pastries and desserts along with fresh fruits. Of these dishes while we were pleased with all the dishes the Tom yum soup and green curry and stir fry beef really stood out.
If you are looking for quality food with a great ambiance and value for your money give Thai-Chi a shot you won't be disappointed.
On a additional payment you can opt for the buffet with house beverages as well.

Great service and romantic atmosphere. When my wife was cold, they brought her a shawl to keep warm. The meal was tastefully spicy and not overdone. The meat was tender and tasty. We very much enjoyed our meal.

Awesome food. Brilliant ambience. Good friendly staff. The chicken Green curry is brilliant. The lamb fillet sizzler and the prawn sizzler is awesome. All in all a fantastic experience.

Food isn't as 'spicy' as I would like to be. ..but the variety and freshness of each dish on the buffet compensates it......the dimsums and sea food stir fry is what I call perfection

My fav chinese/ thai restaurant in dubai, with good reason.

They serve the tastiest i've had especially when it comes to peaking duck, thai chi rice (fried rice) and pad thai.. They are a must order. I have tried almost everything in the menu... And i see that its very hard to goo wrong with what you hard.. Yes almost everythng has a unique flavour and you cant stop munching..

All in all a must visit

Couple this with the service quality of wafi hospitality, you will be left with a lasting impression.. A good one that is.

I like the staff, nice, knowledgeable & friendly. Decent options for vegetarians. Kale leaf salad shud get a special mention and also coconut panacota.

This place is really nice, finding this place took a while. A good walk inside the Wafi mall and just walk through different doors and corridors you will get there.
The place is well kept and the decors really nice, very good ambiance and also the food was good.
We got in on a Saturday and they had this buffet for AED 119 and it was worth every dirham. The Staffs were really friendly and very helpful in letting us know which items had what in it.

Overall it was a very good experience and would definitely go there again with Mrs.

Tried the Friday buffet.
You can go to three restaurants and sample the food, Thai Chi and two others, one Italian and some other, forgot the name.
For my taste everything was a bit bland. Italian sucked the most, but since I'm writing this for Thai Chi here we go.
Main dishes were all average to good in taste, that's why i ate starters and salads, which had a kick.
