Food is great and service is amazing. A nice place to wind down after work. They have a live guitarist and (sometimes) a flamenco dancer performing! You can also watch the chef cook paella live in the central area of the restaurant. Overall good vibes on this one!

(التعليق الأصلي) The place is a cozy and lovely interior inside. I love the concept of the live station where you can watch the chef cooks your favorite paella. staff are super nice and accommodating, the charming chef- Saad from Morroco cooks authentic and delicious seafood paella, in addition, a live acoustic band will serenade you while you enjoy your food.

We read great reviews online and decided to visit here for dinner for my birthday and we ere not disappointed. We were warmly greeted at the entrance and shown to our cozy table in the corner as requested. The place has a comfortable cafe like ambiance. The hostess Maria is brilliant, she will engage with you to find your preferences and will help you order as per your taste. The complimentary baked fresh bread was amazing so were the accompaniment with it ,be it freshly made salsa, fried garlic or olive oil made it an amazing experience. The hot tapas we ordered of mushrooms and potatoes were flavorful. The vegetarian paella was brilliant. Maria helped us choose wine which suited out palate and we enjoyed it. The cake they served was not just very artistic it was moist and melted in our mouth. Great decor, top notch food, impeccable service what more can you ask for, glad we dined here.

It’s crowded and rightly so, do book your tables in advance and could be the perfect place to recuperate after a hectic day of shopping at the mall of Emirates.

Great place to eat. I'm 50 years old, and the lamb chops were the best I have ever tasted! Excellent, friendly service from our waiter Alejandro and the lady who greeted us at the door. Loved the place!

Overall the place is neat and good service quality.
Drinks are overpriced, specially I was not happy with sangria in white wine. I believe quality was not good Heavy syrup taste and price is 112 for 500ml which is not worth
Overall I had a good time

Salero is a hidden gem in Kempinski hotel, we got to experience it first hand .firstly , the host warmly welcomed us in and showed us to our table, then the most friendly staff were helping us choose our dishes, recommended the drinks and were checking on us all the time..the food was very tasty, vibrant and fresh, full of flavour and delicious.. we will definitely come back again . 5 stars !!

We got several dishes here, and each one was more bland and tasteless than the last. Given what you pay, this is probably one of the most overpriced disappointing Spanish restaurants we've ever been to.

Been there few times and always loved the experience. One of best authentic Spanish cuisine restaurants in Dubai ...
Food is super fresh, Staff is friendly, Manager drives the whole restaurant by himself, in peak hours Manager helping floor staff and personally take cares of guests....
Paella is must try... need to wait a bit, but its worth it cos its fresh cooked :)

One of the best tapas restaurant for me and even not in Spain. Staff was very friendly and live music was very nice. Try shrimps with chili and churros.

Always friendly atmosphere !!! Highly recommended !!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Went there for brunch on Friday. The food was good but the service was slow and disappointing.

And for a Spanish restaurant there wasn't churros for desert. Some of the staff was nice and really sweet.

The chef was really sweet to come to each table and have a chat with us. The musicians were AMAZING. My feet couldn't stop tapping.

Not one of the best Brunch experiences. Will come back for their à la carte options. Looking at the previous reviews, I guess we just came on an off day.
Dajana Zuvicic
Tasty tapas, nice ambient and polite personnel. Would recommend if you are looking for something interesting and new. Definitely will come again.

Amazing Friday brunch ! The only thing is very small portions , but you still can ask for more !! Also the main dish comes same size as the Tapas ! Which we didn’t know it was the main ! Overall it’s perfect chilled brunch.

I LOVE IT!

We came here for Friday brunch, and we are coming back again definitely.
Food is amazing..the chef is so friendly and always with the costumers.
Service is good, all staff are friendly with a smile on their face.
The atmosphere is lovely. The singers are talented and bringing joy to the brunch.
Great staff, food is great. I like the live shows. They have a great choice of drinks ( summer sangria my favorite) The manager is great and very professional

I have visited this place on many occasions and all is fine, yesterday despite the service was good etc., i wanted to use entertainer for food and zomato gold for the drinks, which I usually do it there and everywhere as these are two seperate schemes and they dont interfere on the same items. However, the waitress (who just came to her shift) did not accept that I use both, and she gave me a silly excuse, I tried to explain to her the difference and it is ok to use both, but she seemed stubborn so I didn't make a fuss about and just paid and left.
Muhannad Kilani
I used zomato gold but they don't want to give me discount saying our contract ended with Zomato , this is really frustrating being not offered discount
Pal
Lovely ambience, received a warm and friendly reception from the Manager. Since it was Earthhour today, they were following it with candle lit tables, we totally enjoyed the ambience, food, service and drinks!

Amazing vibe as soon as you enter the place .
Staff was the best part of the entire experience.
The tapas were really good and delicious.
They serve the best sangrias in the town .
Thanks guys will visit soon

I havent ordered anything that is not nice. Their paella is just so good that I eating my appetizer too fast to move one to the mains. Their complimentary bread is good which speaks a lot about what kind of food you’ll be having. Ohh and in some days, they do have flamenco dancers that completes your spanish experience.

A charming little restaurant and a true gastronomic hidden gem set out of sight in the far most corner of Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates. Right from the entrance prepare to be transported to the fiesta-like ambience of a trendy Spanish wine cellar where delicious aromas of olive oil, roasted garlic and herbs are paired with wisely selected wines, soulful conversations and Flamenco (especially on Wednesday nights).

All tables are nicely positioned around a central bar with an open kitchen where chefs simmer delicacies on a gas stove. Up on the ceiling large wicker baskets replace ordinary lamps adding cosy warm lighting. The pops of red here and there are gingham napkins which add to the Mediterranean allure and an abstract wall mural echoing cubism screams Picasso.

While I slowly studied the menu the band walked in, immediately stealing all the attention with the never fading lyrics of “Bamboleo”. We couldn’t help but sang along: “Porque mi vida yo la prefiero vivir así”. Francesco, who looked after our table, suggested we start with a selection of tapas (small savoury dishes) and end the feast with a seafood paella prepared on the stove. I insisted that jamón was a must try as it’s mission impossible to find fine pork in Dubai (spoiler: it was the best jamón I had in a while). Francesco advised that a pitcher of fruity red Sangria would be a perfect pairing to the food we ordered.

Our feast started with a dish of traditional Spanish bread “Pan Basico”, fragrant roasted garlic, “pa amb tomaquet” (soft plum tomatoes), sea salt and olive oil. I rubbed a clove and a tomato all over my toasted slice of bread, sprinkled some salt and olive oil and only paused eating when a board of “Jamón de pata negra” aged 36 months landed on the table (AED 195). The selection of tapas, which arrived next, was extraordinary tasty: “Pimientos de Padron” (small green peppers AED 49), “Croquetas de polo y croquetas de setas” (chicken and mushroom croquets AED 49) and absolutely magical “Gambas al ajillo” (shrimps simmered in olive oil with garlic and chilies AED 69).

While I dipped the remaining pieces of bread in deliciously tangy sauce, Maria the gorgeous Flamenco dancer, walked on the stage. She moved so powerfully and gracefully that all eyes were drawn to her including mine.

A few minutes later my small seafood paella (AED 215) was served in a rather large pan with lots of simmered shrimps and mussels on the top. Size wise it was enough for four hungry eaters and we ended up packing leftovers for a takeaway. The taste generated by the broth was quite intense at first but would quickly settle into a creamy heaven. I didn’t have any room left for the dessert however churros looked truly irresistible.

More LifeatHerBrightest.com

Came by this place by accident one day so decided to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day and what an amazing find this place is! Food quality is amazing everything we tasted of the set menu was lush! The staff were very attentive to me and my fiancé and then later chef Marco came by to greet us an amazing chef with real passion for his job. Best Spanish restaurant in Dubai!

Been for lunch on a Saturday. Order few different dishes and each of them was very simple and tasty the way I like it.like the way of the ice cream presentation.
Nice interior decor. Service was friendly but taking into the consideration they are part of the kempinski. I would expect a bit more. Overall a nice experience and definitely will go back.

Another one of my favorite places in Dubai. The atmosphere here is always fab. Live music and dancing is amazing! The food is gorgeous and authentic and the cocktails are really lovely. Would definitely recommend this place for a night out with friends.

Nice Spanish restaurant in Kempinski ... the ambience is lovely with live music (which wasn’t super loud). The staff do an awesome job taking care of you including the chef stopping by to check on you. We ordered a few tapas which were good ... my favorite was deep fried eggplant with cane syrup (although I like the grilled eggplant with cane syrup), the other tapas we ordered (lamb chops, shrimp and batata) were ok. The highlight of the evening was definitely the seafood paella... the rice was done really nicely, thought the wild mussels vs farm mussels would have added a bit more flavor to the paella - all in all a good Spanish restaurant to go back to

We came here with my friend for ladies night. Place is really cozy! So nice atmosphere and great design. Food was good and served nicely. Special thanks to very friendly staff:) Maria at hostess desk was like a sunshine! And also thanks to Zlatko and Ceren who took care of us inside the restaurant. Spanish music made our evening! For sure will come back and highly recommend it

Amazing paella ( seafood and vegetarian) 🥘❤️ nice music (very cool live singer) atmosphere was great and very friendly staff. You won't leave hungry that's for sure 😊

Was greeted by the hostess without feeling welcomed into the restaurant. Fortunately our server was attentive and bubbly. Food was average, we ordered 3 hot tapas; Fried Potato with alioli (nice and crispy), garlic prawns, sautéed mushrooms and the goat cheese salad. But nothing I would remember once I walk out of the restaurant or come back for.

Despite having only about 3-4 tables for the night, we struggled to get continuous service for our table which was disappointing considering our bubbly server left for the day.

In Essence, average food, below average service but decent ambience.

Salero is a must try Spanish resturant; I went for a Friday brunch and I absolutely loved it. They have a live show which was extremely entertaining ; flamingo dance and lovely Spanish music was very joyful while they were serving variety of Spanish Tapas along with Sangria; I loved their seafood Paella the most; also the dessert was delicious ; overall experience was a great experience and it is highly recommended

Cool, laid-back place with friendly staff. We arrived armed with our Entertainer vouchers but even if you didn’t have any they still have some other kind of promotions or ladies’ night on effect. I love their ‘large-sized’ (compared to the ones you find in Spain) tapas, decor, and live band. We came here with our 2-year old because at first we didn’t know that it’s a restobar but they still welcomed us. We’ll be going back but perhaps without a toddler on tow.

The food, the people, the music, the Sangria!
Salero is really fun!! We have been to their brunch 3 times so far and for sure we'll come back again.
A huge thank you to all the accomodating, friendly, staff!!!

Margarita is the best. The food was ok. Not something special, but the drinks are great. The frozen margarita is recommended, try and you will love it.

Been here twice and both times were fantastic! The staff and service is amazing and the food is very authentic. The only reason its 4 stars and not 5 is because the seafood paella did not taste as good as the first time. I believe there was a change in Chefs, and while the other dishes were great, the paella, just didn't hit the mark.

Very nice ambience with live show everyone there was just filled with laughter happiness..dancing and enjoying...live paella made fresh open kitchen with lovely chefs..one of the best paella I ever had...seafood is my favourite..Best Spanish food must say in Dubai..service is beyond excellent and staff are all up to the standard of a perfect service...

Spanish restaurant with cozy ambience in the luxury mood of Kempinski hotel. Starting with complimentary bread in Spanish style and I ordered paella of the day. Which was really tasty with rich taste of shrimp. Only the comment is that it is a little overly priced with its volume. Still the taste and experience are unforgettable.

This place has amazing food and atmosphere, brunch is very good.. lots of varieties and quality. Prices are reasonable compering to other places

I have been incredibly impressed by this restaurant , I visited it on a late Wednesday night and they were having live music and dance. We ordered 6 different tapas for 2 people and that was quite a lot of food. All the dishes were delicious, the octopus was cooked to perfection, the garlic mushrooms were juicy and tasty, the patatas bravas were crispy outside and soft inside....
I will definitely be back for their ladies night and Friday brunch!

Hemos comido aqui varias veces. Todo muy bien aun que un poco caro y tamaño de porciones un poco pequeño.
We have eaten here various times, the chef is Spanish and although the food is good the portions are on the small side. Even so good food, but mine is better. hahah

- was here a couple of times for drinks
- great sangria's and wide variety of wines
- nice decor and the wine storage cabinet on the upper level is cool
- the 'live music' is a bit of a letdown with it ending at 1030 pm (even on weekends) and sound quality not clear
- the place is always almost full so would suggest to make a reservation

- special thanks to Noell at the bar

My first time at this place and fell in love with it. The special part of it was the friendliness of the staffs and the manager. They have great deal on the food and beverages.
Had some glasses of good wine and a traditional special spanish wine cocktail with slices of fruits inside.
The food was great and tasted fresh and well cooked. We got three tapas included of Ensaladilla rusa, patatas baravas, and croquetas de pollo.
Our server was Çeram, very nice and friendly.
The live spanish music made our night even more special.

I wonder how I missed reviewing this place till now! One of my favourite hangouts in Barsha. Absolutely love the vibe here, cheerful staff and Zomato Gold strikes! You definitely will walk out of this place a very happy person! Try their Long Island Iced Tea.

Lunch with family or dinner with friends? This place is so good for both! Cozy atmosphere, tasty cheese and blooming wine will never let you stay bored.

First experience was a brunch today with colleagues. The seafood were delicious and the theme is unique. The quantity is fulfilling. The magnificent dish was the seafood Paella. It’s so delicious and authentic. Tried the Paella in several places but this was the best.

I've read some mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a try, and we ended up having a good time!

- We went on a Tuesday which is Ladies night and got a complimentary Sangria mini pitcher.
- Loved the live music.
- Food was good but in small portions but i guess thats the whole tapas theme.
- Drinks were great!
- Staff was friendly and service was good overall (a slight delay in taking our order)
- We received a 20% off for Emirates NBD cards which is good (as long as you do not avail any other offer)
- We ended up paying around 500dhs for 2 people for (4 tapas, 1 chorizo plate, 2 cocktails)

Overall we had a good experience but it was definitely overpriced for the quality of food and service compared to other places in Dubai! Especially as it was a more casual place rather than fine dining.
Ali Mohammed
We had birthday parties here few times and it is always fun when you come in groups on ladies night. They have generous portions. And they have like bad....... Brunch have....and you guys can get emirates nbd discount also....

Several small things didn’t click here. They serve bread with olive oil and a very bland tomato sauce. The main issue I had was with the halved head of garlic. It was raw. I have had this served elsewhere and they roast it with olive oil so it smashes up beautifully. The server offered to help and said he would get it done. What came back was the same only a little warm and covered with oil.
We couldn’t go for the paella as understandably that takes time for preparation and we didn’t have 44 mins. Order in advance if you want to try it.
The options on tapas are not as wide as other tapas joints in town. The gambas with chilli was really good with good level of heat. The stuffed mussels wasn’t to my liking and the mushrooms were ok. Meatballs as well were ok.
I quite liked the wine I had though.
The staff including chef were friendly.
Very pretty interiors, and good vibes. We ordered a round for mojitos which were ridiculously sour, but the place was nice enough to replace it with another one. Our waitress recommended we try the "Brazo de Gitane" which was a coffee flavored cake, with raspberries stuffed inside. It might have possibly been the best dessert I have ever eaten in my life. That, followed by a glass of bubbly was perfect.

Very overpriced.. the paella whe have ordered is not even enough for 1 person.. the bottle of water alone is 45 aed.. and the sevice is very slow.. only 1 waitress was in the whole restaurant.

I went for a Friday brunch to this vibrant place a while back and i must say that i enjoyed the every bit of it. I had informed the hotel staff right at the beginning itself that i am a vegetarian by food preference and he made it sure to serve us the best authentic veggie Spanish cuisine. I was quite amazed to see the variety of food they offered. It tasted very well. In spite of the full house, they made sure that each guest was tended very well. They also had a live performance while being at the brunch. That added the charm to the overall experience. Recommended for all brunchaholics !

Very Disappointed. Waiter served wrong dishes twice in a single meal. It is really unacceptable to wait 1hour and 10minites to wait for the steamed Mussel.
Xxkkyy
Unprecedented horrible service…

The stuff looks extremely friendly but only that, when it comes to actual serving, they are totally dull and disorganized but still… very friendly, and then you complain about that, they suddenly become over-sensitive and somehow they make you feel like.. you are disrespecting them however you are just doing what a customer is entitled to do, which is really uncomfortable, a 2 hour eating becomes an ethical test for the customers.

When making the reservation, upon mentioning we are using the entertainer, the waitress listed a lot of complicated prerequisites which are totally not written in the rules of use, tried very hard to reason about that, guess what she just simply said sorry for the confusion.

A lot of desks being left unattended, they seem to be thousands miles away after the dishes were served.

Will never come again.
Xtreem
Average tapas considering the cost. TERRIBLE SERVICE in all areas!

Being an experience diner in restaurants my fiancé and I British people have resided in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for 3 years. Additionally given the nature of her job and my past experiences we have collectively travelled to more than 25 countries all over the world eating in countless restaurants. Both of our experience at Salero Tapas and Bodega is hands down the worst dining experience we have each ever encountered and below are the reason why.

My fiancé is a huge tapas lover. As we have never dined tapas in Dubai we decided to go for tapas at Salero, Al Barsha part of the Kempinski hotel. As always we aim to go try out to new restaurants where we can make use of our entertainer food and entertainer cheers vouchers of which Salero appears on the list of places. As people who very much love food and as a food blogger myself I am very much interested in not only the food but the whole ambience and service aspect of the restaurant.

Upon arriving without a reservation we were greeted by a lady who seated us inside the restaurant which appeared to be busy and vibrant which was nice to see. At this point as I always do I asked to clarify that we could use our entertainer vouchers to which she said yes unless we choose one of the restaurants promotions which was 3 Tapas dishes for AED 110. There was live music and everything appeared to be in good shape. It was also a Tuesday to which we were unaware it was ladies night in which females were entitled to 3 free drinks or a small jug of Sangria which was the equivalent of 3 glasses. Our waitress Ceren came over and further explained the rules around promotions and drinks to which the following statements were made:

1. We can use one entertainer voucher for food or for drinks. But we cannot use both a food voucher and a cheers voucher together. (this I found suprising as you pay separately for the two entertainer vouchers and are separate packages but we went with it.)

2. We can select the in house promotion of three tapas dishes for AED 110, use one cheers entertainer voucher in addition to the fact it is ladies night and my fiancé will receive the 3 free drinks or sangria.

We decided to go with option 2. We would order two sets of the tapas promotion and use one cheers voucher for buy one get one free on sangria whilst my fiancé would receive an additional small jug of sangria for ladies night. Once again we clarified this would be the case and it was confirmed by our waitress. Great, so we made our order!

Upon ordering my fiancé has allergies to cheese and thick creamy products. This was something that we tried to clear up in which the waitress was correct in saying items in question were cheeseless. However there was no description on the menu regarding items such as “Mussels stuffed with vegetables” detailing they are actually stuffed with thick creamy product with minute miniscule vegetables within it. Therefore as a result my fiancé could not eat many of the items we ordered due to the same error. NO PROBLEM, WE CONSIDERED IT OUR FAULT AND ASKED TO ORDER MORE ITEMS WHICH WE WOULD HAPPILY PAY FOR SO THAT SHE COULD EAT SOMETHING OTHER THAN A BOWL OF FRIED POTATOES.

In asking to order 3 more tapas disheS we were told by our waitress we cannot order another 3 tapas dishes using the promotion of AED 110. I was slightly confused by this as what is the difference between us paying an extra AED 110 onto our bill OR another customer arriving and ordering 1 set of tapas for themselves. Anyhow I didn’t say anything and the expression of confusion prompted the waitress to “go and check” to which she never returned at any point of the evening to our table. At this point we were happy to order something away from the tapas menu as portions of Paella were doing the rounds that did to be fair to the restaurant look really good. After around 15 minutes I called a male over to order some chicken skewers and fried calamari (not part of the tapas menu) where the male happened to be the manager of the restaurant Jordi. We explained to Jordi the situation regarding the food and that we were happy to pay for additional food, and that as a food blogger I did not want my fiancé to leave with a bad impression of the restaurant especially seeing as though she loves tapas.

At this point Jordi was helpful and accommodating and said we could use the promotion to order 3 tapas dishes. I explained the waitress said we cannot and his exact words were “NO!, I am the manager I am telling you, you can.”. Ok, great. We stated that there wasn’t really much else on the tapas menu my fiancé would really like to eat and that we would just order separately outside of the promotion. As the chicken skewers were the same price as the tapas dishes in the promotion Jordi agreed that we could actually use that dish to replace a dish in the tapas menu and then use the promotion. After appreciating his efforts and seemingly wanting to push the promotion we went ahead with that. This was the best part of the evening…Later the chicken skewers arrived and my fiancé enjoyed them. We then order our free jug of sangria as part of our buy one get one free voucher we were told we could use and moved to the bar area.

We proceeded to finish our drinks and ask for the bill from another waitress. At this point the bill should have been AED 445 but arrived at AED 560. We stated the bill was incorrect and that there was a charge for AED 115 that shouldn’t be there as were told on 3 occasions, once by the lady welcoming us into the restaurant and twice by our initial waitress we could use this. The waitress with the bill then informed us that we cannot use the entertainer because my fiancé had been there and received a free small jug of sangria for ladies night. Again I was confused and relayed the message that I am a male, so if I wanted to use this for myself what is the problem? And more so this is a different message than to what was communicated to us 3 times. The waitress then went to check with our initial waitress to which she came over and naturally changed her story, which was that we are not allowed to use our drinks voucher because we had received a meal promotion. We then asked what about the statements you made earlier regarding options 1 and 2 to which she flatly denied. I then asked for the manager Jordi to come and find a solution to this dispute and clear this up.

Jordi then came over and once again I explained the issue. This is the point that angered me because the level of service and communication from a manager to his customers from here on out was in my view absolutely shocking. I identified that his member of staff was wrong and he went away to talk to her. He came back to look at me and tell me she is not wrong. I explained we are experienced diners and we frequently use entertainer and make sure we are clear at the start of a dining experience so that things like this don’t happen when it comes to the bill. He then decided to go off topic and say to us that this is a good bill and that he did us a favour with the third promotion. A favour that was his idea and suggestion and a favour we paid for, so I don’t really view this as a favour. It is not like it was free or anything of the sort. We paid the full price and he did what a manager should do in accommodating his customers at that time. I disagreed with him and told him good bill or bad bill the point is the bill is still not correct based of the numerous communication we had received at the beginning of the evening regarding use of vouchers and again I told him that his staff were wrong and that some of them have different understandings of the promotion system (referring to the last waitress) so clearly there is communication issues within your team. His response was “I believe in my team”. I responded with so am I lying? He said no but she (the waitress) is not wrong. I said she is and that I would be writing this review and will not dine or recommend anyone to dine in this restaurant again. He said ok and I paid the AED 560.

To me, how you treat your customers goes a long way to the overall dining experience and also to the success of the business as it is the customers who keep the business afloat. At this restaurant they clearly had no care or desire about how customers felt in leaving the restaurant as they are situated in a 5 star hotel where there is an influx of new potential diners day in day out. Additionally if I had been outside of this situation and could see the manager or a restaurant arguing with his customers I would have been deeply disappointed.

Therefore it goes without saying, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL! TAPAS FOOD WAS AVERAGE. TASTED LIKE LOW COST INGREDIENTS BUT DISPLAYED NICELY AND SEASONED NICELY. VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED. THEY RUINED THE NIGHT.

Amazing cheese and cured meat platters! The chic interior and friendly staff make this a good experience for a weekday dinner or light snacks and drinks

Food is actually good. I love the decor and ambience. I love the gambas and grilled squid.

Service was off though. Took quite some time to get the orders out. One order was received incorrectly. Several minutes just to bill out. I know I was using Entertainer that night but honestly I think it’s not worth coming back if I’m paying that much for such service.

Used to be a regular but visited yesterday after a 3 month break since I was travelling and was shocked at the difference. The menu changed a bit, the taste of the food is different. My favorite tapas, the lamb confit was dry, the mash had no flavor. We used to love the carrot puree and the wafer thin chips that used to be server earlier. However, put the food aside, the sangria was perhaps the worst sangria i've had in my life. Initially we used to go and order pitchers, we ordered one and didn't drink it as it tasted like water and cheap wine with bitter oranges cut and thrown it. I don't know why there is such a drastic change in quality. The only thing that hasn't changed is the slow service, you could be sitting in an almost empty restaurant and won't get service for 15 minutes. This has always been an issue but still used to visit as the food overpowered the slow service. I would always recommend this place to my friends who would ask where to get the best sangria and tapas in Dubai now it's a whole other story. Shame, used to be a great venue.

I tried some Spanish food in my last trip in Barcelona and I can say that I had a better experience here in Dubai. Salero it’s not only a very cozy restaurant in a 5 start hotel even their staff is very friendly and they have a good knowledge about Spanish culture.
I highly recommended
Thanks Jordi for your choices that make up perfectly our exigencies and we god the perfect pairing with an incredible Marques de Riscal Gran Reserva.
Keep it up!! We’ll come back soon .

Service is friendly but not very able... food has nothing to do with Spanish food. Grown up in Spain, I can tell.... Plus not tasty at all.... first and last time for me.
Great Veggie Eats
Vegetarians rejoice! Salero is the restaurant for you to get in on some delicious Spanish action.

My husband and I came here for dinner on the weekend. We ordered four hot tapas dishes - patatas bravas, the eggplant, mushrooms and Spanish omelette. All of them were scrumptious. Plus the complimentary bread they give you with garlic and tomato is divine! Who knew bread could get any better.

We were quite full after this but how can you skip dessert? We tried the churros and the creme catalana, which was amazing - and apparently a recipe handed down from the chef’s grandmother. Super lovely.

The staff were fun and friendly, and the chef came around to our table to have a chat and see how everything was. You‘ll be well looked after here.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, dark and sophisticated. They also were setting up for some live music here, so that could be fun to see.

We’ll definitely be back. Next time we’ll try the vegetarian paella - apparently the small size is good for two people. Looking forward to it already!

This is also a licensed restaurant so you can enjoy a drink with your meal if you would like.

Have been there several times with friends. The atmoshpere is amazing and food is really good. Hence, most visitors are actually Spaniards. Service could be slighter faster though.
Wednesdays (a la carte) and Fridays (brunch) have Flamenco dancer and live music and those are insane (in a good way :-)). Brunch is not a buffet - different tapas are served at the same time to all the tables, the choice of drinks included is good, considering the prices.

Tucked away in the Kempinski, also quite easy to get to from the mall. People who enjoy wines, they have a lovely selection of Spanish reds, whites. There was a brunch on during Friday afternoon and was quite fun with live music and Flamenco dancing. You do feel as if you are tele ported to some place in Spanish isles. The food is fine, but if you plan on staying on for at least two hours on a Friday afternoon definitely go for brunch and not A La Carte.

From their cold tapas be sure to get the caramelized goat cheese salad, with candied nuts and apple.

Manchego cheese nibbles.

Grilled octopus with truffle mashed potatoes and seafood stew was super!

Nice place and decent food but the service is quite bad. Waitress seemed miserable, all food came in a disorganized way and it took them more than an hour to bring the paella, long after we had finished eating the rest of the food. With so many options in Dubai, why bother to come again to this place?
Cem Pulat
Good food with a bad service
If you don’t mind a bad service, waiting quite a long time for your order after others at the table have done with their food, give this place a go. The food is good.
Diala Bou Karim
We had a birthday celebration for my friend, the place is a bit small in size but very nice ambiance. Located in one of the 5* hotels Kempinski. Tapas are delicious not to forget the Paella, Sangria..... Staff was very nice and cooperative.
we had a great time at Solero one of the best Spanish places in Dubai.
Khyatid87
I went for lunch with my hubby.
I personally love Spanish food. But salero food is okay service is good and I like the ambiance but I’ll not go there again.
Nina
Salero is a cozy nice Spanish restaurant in Kempinski hotel. The food is good and The sangria was just amazing.
We tried their patatas bravas, berenjenas a la miel and calamares a la andaluza. Amongst all I loved the aubergine , it had a different delicious taste of whatever I had so far.
The basil pots on the tables were so cute and the decoration is beautiful.
It is a little expensive but worths trying.
Rita Hobeich
the friday brunch was amazing. the food is quite good, the tapas and the paella. also loved the sangria.
the live entertainment was excellent also.
L
Very over priced for very small portions. Even with Entertainer the place is bad value and I left still hungry.

Decor is beautiful and music was lively.
Darvin Chugani
Being someone from spain I really enjoyed my experiences in Salero at Kempinski MOE. Casual yet elegant decor, cosy seating arrangements and a bar in the middle of the restaurant where you can sit and have a nice drink, enjoy some tapas and watch the cooks while they create amazing spanish dishes for you. Definitely go for some sangria or tinto de verano, croquetas de pollo, queso manchego, gambas al ajillo, tortilla and the paellas. Very friendly staff, specially the head chef that is from Spain as well.

Came to Salero for a Friday brunch and really enjoyed it!!! Absolutely great and fun place. Life Latino music and dancing. The brunch is a la carte style, no buffet. But it’s actually much better! They served us plenty of food, everything was delicious ! Loved the meat balls and potato salad, yummy sangrias! The service was excellent , the chef himself came several times to our table and asked our feedback on food. I would highly recommend this place for brunch or dinner. It’s quite small so better make reservation in advance.

Went for lunch. Food was good however- Service slow considering it wasn't exactly busy. Took ages to get our second drinks which just sat on the bar top for ages. Half of the food came then a while later after they realised the rest was missing we received the rest. Didn't receive the water or home made lemonade which was meant to be part of the business lunch deal-didn't bother asking for it either as it would have no doubt took forever to get it!
Mostafa Emad
The atmosphere is very nice, the music, the setting and the food are amazing... Would have preferred more variety of beer though, but was no biggy... Had a really nice time there...
Kacy Lee
The food was extra tasty. They
Accommodated some of our dishes to not include alcohol. We were very full after being served the following:

Caramalized goat cheese salad.
Spanish omelet
Chicken skewers
Beef tenderloin.

Very filling for two people.

My major complaint would be the smell of smoke. We sat near the door and in a non smoking section but it smells bad when people start smoking. You might as well be sitting in the smoking section.

Service was a little slow but friendly.
Marina Riad
Two friends and I visited the restaurant one week ago and gotta see that they really captured the essence of the south of a spine
The service was really excellent the staff was very polite and helpful especially Their head Mr Hany the manger of the restaurant who welcome us warmly and check the service and food by himself ,
The food was absolutely amazing and testy . Big thank for the chef and all his team
Taskeen Valrani
We went there for ladies night and had the worst service experience. We were pretty much ignored by the staff when we wanted to order drinks. They got our order wrong and then didn't bring half the food we ordered. The food was not that great so will not be going back. The Dj and the company of my friends was the best thing about this restaurant. Fix your service!

I've eaten here a number of times so was really disappointed with my experience this week. Visited on a quiet lunchtime and had the business lunch menu. Service was non existent, drinks turned up halfway through meal despite me asking a number of times. Food came out in wrong order due to incorrect items being brought first time around. Food was decent on the whole but beef rib was lacking flavour compared to previous occasions. I also think 50 AED for kids pasta is a bit steep. Shame.
Gingergenie
I went there because it was ladies' night. It was my first time ever in a Spanish eatery. Everything was eye-catching starting from the decor, ambience and music. I sat with a group of ladies and enjoyed Spanish dessert while they sipped on their Sangrias. The supervisor was very helpful and cheerful while taking our orders. I would love to go there again to try out the paella.

My husband and i went to salero for an evening of tapas and drinks. The place is really cute and cosy with red and white checked tablecloths. You can either choose to sit at the tables or sit around the live counter with the chef cooking in the centre . We ordered a selection of tapas. We had the pan con tomato , goat's cheese salad, patatas bravas , beef rib and Spanish omlette . For drinks , hubby had the sangria and I had a glass of red. The food was good especially the goat's cheese salad with green apple and the Spanish omlette. The patatas bravas weren't authentic like in Spain and lacked being covered in tomato. Overall for a relaxed evening with friends and food, this is one good place.
Mayouka
The good is great and the ambiance is nice and simple, but the service is a bit slow. The chef has passed by every table to hear customers feedback which is awesome :) I will repeat it for sure and try different things
Julian
Visited on a Monday night:
Good atmosphere, clean place and great offer for the Men's night.
All the tapas I've tried were good, service is friendly and efficient.
Highly recommended

Went as a group of 8 for a birthday brunch and after a rather slow start and a bit of a grumble the food and drinks flowed nicely all afternoon. Personal favourites the Spanish omelette, patatas bravas and the calamari which was amazing. White and red sangria, quite quaffable Shiraz and a couple of beers later I left a happy happy man as did my gf who had a lovely birthday party

The last time I visited a tapas bar was around 20 years ago in Madrid, no less. But Salero did their best to remind me of balmy evenings on the Castellana. Nice atmosphere, good music. Service wasn't great but never mind. We had a prawns dish, a meatballs dish and a fish dish, washed down with Estrella. In all, a very pleasant and civilised evening.

Salero – Tapas & Bodega is an authentic, licensed Spanish restaurant on the ground floor of the Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates. Its interior is handsome, cosy and casual. The food is simple, Spanish to its core – superb. Try the seafood paella, it’s one of the best I have had in Dubai. Note, it takes at least 30-minutes to prepare. Service is friendly but not the fastest in the world. That said this is a hidden gem of a restaurant, pricy but well worth a visit.

Waste NOT. Want NOT.
Follow me on Instagram: ravenousxerxes

Really terrible service, as we waited for about 20 minutes for someone to even come and take our drinks order. We didn't get the exact drink we ordered and also the food we ordered was sub par at best.

Really had high hopes for this place and unfortunately it really fell short.
The Traveller Fork
Overall, the restaurant deserves a 4, we enjoyed our time and definitely will visit them again. Very affordable with a total of 200 AED per couple without alcohol, if you add to it the Sangria, you end up paying an average of 350 per couple. As below I will summarize our experience.

Welcome: 3/5
Food: 4/5
Attentiveness: 4/5
Value for money: 5/5
Cleanliness: 4/5
Interior: 4/5
Music: 4/5
Menu selection: 3/5

Great food, superb paella! Calamares makes you come back for more. Cesina is yummy and churros makes the lunch complete.
Very friendly service crew (Janice, Victoria, Nhar and Joan). Well done guys, keep it up!

When you enter Salero you definetly have that kind of Spanish bodega feeling. I lived 7 years in Spain and I miss most of their food every day.
And I would order the same tapas t I'd order in a cerveceria in Barcelona: pan con tomate, patatas bravas, tortilla de patatas and pimientos del padron. They are all quite good to be honest. They have a "pork delicatessen" that includes chorizo, lomo iberico and jamon pata negra and overall the quality and price is good. Their gambas al ajillo ( a bit spicy ) are also good. I don't like Paella but they have few options for it and even Paella of the day that is included in their daily business lunch formula. To end up sweetly they have lovely churros with chocolate and crema catalana.

My friend made a reservation for 9:30pm and received multiple confirmation texts and calls to confirm.

She spoke to the staff and let them know we were going to be a party of 20 people and that the section (smoking/non-smoking) wasn't an issue -- we could be seated in either section.

When we got to the bar we were told our reservation was for 8pm -- which made no sense. We were in a play that started at 7:45 there was no way we made the reservation for 8pm. My friend showed them the confirmation texts she received that clearly showed the time of the reservation and they kept trying to make it her fault that they didn't have a table for her.

1. "We tried calling you"; She spoke to them multiple times when making the reservation, however on the night of the reservation we were in a play and therefore on stage a fact she had mentioned to the person she spoke to twice during the process of making the reservation.

2. "You didn't confirm smoking or not." -- She had. She said it didn't matter -- "Oh, that is why, you didn't specify so we cancelled" -- and didn't inform her? But she made your options of giving her a table bigger -- if you had more reservations for smoking section you could put us in nonsmoking and vice verse -- BULLSHIT.

3. When we were at the bar waiting for a table part of our group got really hungry and decided to go elsewhere to find food so she went to them and told them we could do with a smaller table and they guy was like "this is why we cancel, you say 20ppl then you say 15, you are not sure of the size of your party"-- NO your incompetence cause part of my group to leave NOW.

Instead of apologizing they kept trying to make us take the blame for their mistake.

They were rude to us when serving, they only took orders for half the table. It was a horrible horrible night on the whole.

Even if I wanted to I would never go back, and that is a shame because I've heard the food is pretty good.

Went for Fiesta Brunch. Excellent entertainment with Spanish guitar and flamenco for brunch. Food authentically Spanish. Great papatas bravas and calamari. Paella disappointing. Good service.

Authentic food, the patatas bravas are not to miss, the manager is friendly, the music is amazing, makes you feel like you're in spain. Tried alot of spanish places but will always come back to this one. Kudos 👍🏻👌🏻

So we ended up here as walking.... On 14th February 😂 didn't had a reservation which we were happy off. So sat at bar and we had the most amazing dinner of all... I love Spanish cuisine... In Spain i had few cokkery classes from the locals and man i tasted the authentic food @salero tapas & bodega. The food was up to mark, portions were perfect and good quality. We ordered octopus potato salad, prawns gambas, seafood stew, veal meatballs n cold cut selection... Todo es mui bien.... Que Rico... We enjoyed our food n drinks at the bar while the flamenco dancer heat up the floor... Had a lovely conversation with the bartender Fernando from Seville... As he kept us acommpany with his Spanish culter. Its a must visit... Truly coming back for more...

Now this is called a place to visit ! In case you are not super hungry or not in mood of main course food, hit to this place.
So delicious food and the music is bang on combination !
Totally in love with this place.
Chef On The Block
Awesome place, love the decor, friendly staff & love the live music (flamenco dancer & player) - price may be reasonable depends on what you order, but it does add up. Kinda wish they had an outdoor seating but we can't change that..

Favorites on the menu were:
- Starters (almost all were great): patatas bravas, croquetas, benerjanas a la miel, Tortilla de patata espanola, pimientos, champinoes, gambas al ajillo, homemade marinated olives, manchego cheese (of course.. cause hello! we are at a Spanish restaurant)
- Mains: pallela de pollo

I usually fill up on the starters & we usually go as a big group & share. Portions aren't so big so even if there's just 2 or 3 of you, you can def order somewhere along 6 of the appetizers to share.

Follow me on Instagram @ChefOTB for more food adventures

Xx

We went to Salerò on Monday evening to have some sangria and dinner. The place was almost empty, just 3 more tables occupied. The menu doesn't really have good selection of tapas. We ordered red sangria, cheese platter, olives, fried squid, green bell peppers. Well peppers were tasty, squid nothing special, olives nothing special, nor cheese was impressive )) sangria I think is overpriced, 150aed for 750ml of not the best quality wine with chopped oranges and apples. Plus later at home didn't feel well. So... we had much higher expectations. But maybe other dishes are really good... Don't think I will come back there again. And wouldn't really recommend this place.

Beautiful place with delicious tapas and big variety of Spanish vines.

Recommended dishes:
Patatas Brava is yummm
Anchovy bruschetta
Salad with caramelized goat cheese
Shrimps (hot tapas)

And of course seafood Paella

Enjoy...)))

Very accessible, quite runaway in a busy mall. Staff are not always friendly, food is nothing special while it is over prices, however the advantage is a smoking indoor area with alcoholic beverages
Saranya
Perfect ambience, wonderful entertainment, attentive staffs, scrumptious food, variety of alcohol makes the brunch a perfect package. It is worth for every penny you spend. I strongly recommend this place for Brunch if you fancy Spanish cuisine.

A wonderful experience!

Just perfect for a lovely week night out for talks over music, live Flamenco entertainment (Every Wed night), drinks and Spanish flavours. Unfortunately, my friend and I loaded up on the Tapas so much that we didn't have space for Paella, which is a definite mus-try though!

Do ask for Waitress Kristina (or Christina?). She knows her stuff and will help you with the menu selection - both food and drinks!

Note: For Indians trying out exceptional flavours, do note that there will be 'sweet' elements with your starters and mains! ;) So keep an open mind!

What the two of us had...
TAPAS
A small platter of their tuna special
Berenjenas a la miel
Gambas al ajillo
Ensalada templada de espinacas pinones y manzana con reducciόn de Jerez
Chicken skewers with veggies

The chicken was a little dry for me but the rest of the tapas tasted fresh and exquisite!

DESSERT
Churros con chocolate - Large quantity in there! :)

The next sitting at Salero Tapas and Bodega will include the red-meat selections and definitely, most definitely, the PAELLA! :)
